#oc: Hatake Akane

“I still dont understand,” Akane dashed through the trees, each step pushing her towards their destination.

“If this is an A rank why am I the only one coming along, better yet why are you taking it? I figured a high ranking shinobi like you could say no to stuff like this.”

Of course she knows she shouldn’t be complaining about the high paid job, though it still didn’t sit well with the young adult.

“As a high ranking Shinobi my main job is A rank missions,” Kakashi corrected her, though she wasn’t completely wrong. Usually he wouldn’t have accepted this mission and even if he had he would have done it alone.

This wasn’t just any mission though. It was a job that required someone especially skilled in fire style and while he fit that roll just fine he had thought it would be a good opportunity to let Akane test her skills.

If anything went wrong, he was there to step in and deal with it.

He’s already half way to the door when Akane speak up, the bowl of popcorn held up over her head as if to entice him to stick around.

There’s one hour left before he’s due to arrive at Ichiraku for lunch with Tenzo, and that’s if he wants to he on time. Considering his options, he turns his back to the door and begins to make his way back toward the couch.

“You’re not sick of me already?” plopping down on the couch beside Akane takes a moment to make himself comfortable. “20 more minutes. I wouldn’t want to over saturate you with my presence.”

Speaks who absolutely fucking NAILS not only canon muses (Cassie, Raiden and Akane), but your OC Rebecca as well! Your Cassie certainly changed the preconception I used to have about her in MKX and your portrayal alone is what literally makes Cassie Cage one of my top favorite characters. You bring so much depth, development and matured sense of her I absolutely have grown to love, and so does Raiden. I mean, Raiden was already one of my favorites to begin with, but I can definitely hear his voice through the dialogues and the depth of how you flesh him out. 

I especially love Hanzo and Raiden together, because I have never fathomed to ship them together. We definitely have a knack for finding the way to ship them together and I just love how they really worked out, especially with Raiden as a mortal (their post-MK11 verse, if you will). 

And I absolutely, absolutely adore not only Hanzo x Akane based on those Westworld episodes (they better bring Musashi and Akane back for more seasons, because Shogun World was the best thing that has ever happened in Season 2), and I love how they are rather silent around each other, but they are exceedingly protective of each other and go out of their comfort to take care of each other. Certainly, my favorite has been Hanzo x Rebecca, in any manifestations of their verses. Rebecca certainly feels REAL and TANGIBLE, even more than a canonical character and I have especially grown to love their Modern and Hanzo’s Immortal verse based on Helix. After all, you are the one who got me into this fucking hot mess (Hiroyuki Sanada hell as there’s no fucking way out) and I love you even more for it, because this show will stick with me for so long. Even when Dr. Hiroshi Hatake isn’t exactly Hanzo Hasashi, I see enough similarities I can draw upon with canonical Hanzo and it has been a challenge, a good challenge for me to expand his characterization (based on heart-wrenching trauma based on the concept of loss, family and intimacy). 

It means SO MUCH to me that you’re my biggest supporter who literally feeds my writing habit, and I couldn’t thank you enough for it!

Flopping down on Kakashi’s couch, Akane sighed. “So, what are the plans for tonight?”

“For me?” Kakashi asked with a raised eyebrow. “I’m staying in giving out candy and watching movies. For you,” reaching down, he dug his hand into a box sitting beside him and pulled out a long, beautiful dress. “Your teammates will be here in five minutes to pick you up for the chunin halloween party.”

“Halloween party?” Jolting up in her spot, Akane panicked. “But-“

“Relax. Yoshi is out on a mission. I made sure of it.”

Akane couldn’t help but smile at the mental image that popped into her head of Kakashi bribing the Hokage just to get her dad out of the village for the night.

Seeing him chuck the dress toward her, she reached out to snatch it out of the air and quickly laid it out on her lap to examine it.

A perfect replica of the dress Princess Yukio wore in the last movie. “Where did you get it?”

“Doesn’t matter,” he dismissed her question with a shrug. “You have four minutes to change, and Jun said they wanted to go trick-or-treating on the way so you should probably take a bucket.”

“But-“

“Again, he’s out of the village,” Kakashi sighed. “And you can stash the candy here. It’s not like i’m going to eat it on you.”

That was true. Kakashi hated sweets and was probably the last person in all of Konoha who would try and steal any of Akane’s hidden stash.

Still, there was a feeling of guilt bubbling up inside of her as her father’s voice echoed in her mind, reminding her about the dangers of carbs and sugars.

“Hey,” feeling a finger flick against her forehead, Akane looked up to see Kakashi now standing directly in front of her staring at her with a fond expression. “Stop thinking about it. If he has a problem he can talk to me about it.”

Akane snorted. “After the last ‘talk’ the two of you had?”

“Exactly,” stepping back, he waved to the dress still sitting in her lap. “Three minutes. Go change.”

There was no need for him to tell her a forth time. With permission officially received she scrambled to her feet and headed straight to the washroom to change into her costume.

Kakashi knew Akanes mother before she died thanks to her fathers carelessness. The woman ran a gas station and she really was one of the most sweet people you could meet, taught Kane how to be kind but most importantly how to survive in the world Hideyoshi forced upon them.

Mafia Au

Akane is a runaway who left her subpar dad behind when he tried to pull her into his world if Mafia against her will.

She never wanted anything to do with the mafia, but unfortunately things arn’t so easily escapable and someone upset with her father found her a few years later and tried to take out their anger on her.

Akane wasn’t too sure what she was doing when she grabbed the knife, but it was a pretty clean hit. Her first kill. She was covered in blood and terrified of what she had done, but there was no going back.

In the middle of panic thinking on how she was going to deal with all of this, a hand came down on her shoulder. Akane turned around ready to fight, but before she could land a hit her hand was grabbed.

It’s the first time Akane ever met ‘The Scarecrow’. She’d heard stories throughout town of how terrifying he was and she was certain she was dead meat in that moment

She never thought she would find herself hiding away in a nice home with eight very protective dogs huddled around her. In fact, some days she still thinks she died that day and is actually living out a dream world

Do you have any niche little knowledge about your OC's? XD like maybe Hikari hates milk because of a nasty habit her own mom had a nasty habit of always forgetting to throw out the spoiled milk so she slowly began to hate even a hint of it's scent, Hotaru would hide little notes in whenever she braids Madara's hair when she's bored, or Akane has kept the collection of shiny interesting rocks shes been adding to since she was a kid for absolutely no particular reason, those kind of little things lol XD

Hatake Hikari

Hikari hates Dango. Loathes it with a passion. When the nice dango shop opened up and Akane wanted to take her for a date, she put her foot down and told her beautiful, wonderful wife to take her brother. She can’t explain why she hates it, but the smell and taste aggravate her to no end.

When she’s putting on her Uniform, Hikari always thanks each piece of equipment for the job it does protecting her. People always look at her funny for doing it, but it’s something she has to do or she feels like her armor just won’t function as well.

Hatake Akane (she’s a Hatake now. No returns)

Akane likes to take naps on top of Hashirama’s stone face. When her father asks her about this, suggesting she could do the same on his once he becomes Hokage, she just smiles and tells him it’s like she’s cuddling her dorky uncle again. Tobirama never asks again because that’s not something he’s going to take away from his daughter.

Sometimes when her brother is working, Akane likes to sit behind him with her back pressed against his and just listen to the flames he uses to warp metal into weapons. It’s a comforting sound, and the first day after his death that she goes home, she sits in his little work shop wishing the flames would start up again so she could hear them just one more time.

Hatake Hotaru

Hotaru keeps a picture of Madara in her left vest pocket. It’s not a romantic gesture, and she doesn’t need it as a reminder that she has someone to come back from missions to (she has her clan) but it’s more of a little token of her friendship. Something she can look at when she’s feeling stressed or down that will instantly bring up good memories.

Guarding Hashirama is one of Hotaru’s favorite duties because it gives her prime position to bug him, but she also always makes sure to stop at the door of his office and knock on the frane three times whenever they’re entering or exiting. She never explains to anyone why she does this, but it’s like a good luck measure. A ‘goodbye’ and ‘hello’ to the room that she feels keeps them all safe.

Hatake Yua

Yua likes to collect little rocks from around the land of Iron when she’s growing up. One from each place she has a fond memory of. She can always look at the little rocks and remmember just where it came from and what happened at that place. Her favorite is one shiny green rock she picked up at her Sensei’s home, where she has years worth of memories combined into one shiny little stone.

Hatake Nakano

Nakano loves to sit with her dad (Kakashi) and help him sew little outfits for the ninkin, or new legwarmers and other things for her papa’s turtles/tortoises. It’s personal time with her dad, and he always lets her pick out cute designs

Nakano cannot stand Ramen. Because of Naruto’s habit of always eating at Ichiraku, she grows up eating it far too often and actually gains a huge dislike of it. She’ll still go with her dads, but she’ll never order any ramen because the smell makes her sick to her stomach. Thankfully neither Teuchi or Ayame have ever held that against her.

40. Akane/Hikari <3

40. What do they do when they miss one another? Is one more needy than the other/

Hikari doesn’t like to admit it, but she is far more needy than Akane. She is always looking for cuddles and quiet time together, and she gets on edge if they’re away from each other too long

Because of her strong sense of smell, Hikari always keeps something of Akane’s on her. Weither it’s a scarf or a small piece of clothing with her scent on it, Hikari will have it. Whenever she has a moment to herself she’ll bring it out and hokd it to her nose.

A moment to remmember the woman she needs to make it home to, or who she can’t wait to see walking back into the vilalge.

Akane doesn’t have that strong sense of smell, so when she’s missing Hikari she pulls out the tanto that Hikari had made for her, engraved with both of their names and the Hatake Clan symbol. It’s a weapon to protect her, and a reminder that there’s someone for her to return home to.

Someone she loves dearly

She just buried her head into his stomach to avoid the answers and tried her best to have a normal conversation. Anything to distract for this shit day.

“Well that’s all that matters right, I’m glad it ended up ok…have you eaten?”

She didn’t even say anything, just crawled up next to him and laid her head in his lap and closed up in the tightest ball she could.

“Welcome home.”

“Thank you,” he lowered his book and peered down at her. “Everything alright?”

🍫: Where does your OC go to think?

Hatake Hotaru

Will straight up build four mud walls around her and sit down to think. Prefers having the protection of her jutsu when she needs to think, and has resorted to chucking stones at anyone who tries to go over the walls to bother her

Senju-Uchiha Akane

Finds it easiest to think in the quiet of the Hokage’s office. When she’s young and her Uncle is still alive she would sneak in and sot behind his desk where no one but him could see her.

Hashirama would always smile and pat her head, but otherwise would just leave her be to think.

When Tobirama took over as Hokage he never questioned when he would walk in to find his daughter sitting behind his desk. He simply left her be and went elsewhere while she though, which was the worst feeling for her because he favorite thing about thinking in the Hokage’s office was always having her uncle there beside her in comfertable silence

Senju-Uchiha Yukio

Thinks best in his work shop, but when he’s young and doesn’t have a work shop yet he goes to a nice little cave outside of the village walls and sits deep inside of the cave to work on designs in his notebook or just sit in silence and think.

He thinks best when he’s working, with Flame in front of him and metal molding itself under his command

Hatake Hikari

Sort of like Hotaru, she’ll build her mud wall jutsu’s around herself to think. The main diffrence is that Hikari won’t do it just anywhere. She has a certain spot on her home’s property where she puts up the jutsu and sits

That spot only changes if she moves homes

Hatake Yua

She’ll never admit it out loud, but the one place she always found it easiest to think was The garden at Mifune’s home. For years she just could never feel completely at peace at her parents home or her Sensei’s (where she spent years), but at her best friends home she always felt the safest and most open.

🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?

i feel like as ninja's they'd have to be or were trained to be good at lying but who knows lol maybe they still have tells?

Hatake Yua

Probably the only bad lier. And when i say bad lier, i mean Yua firmly disbelives in Lying and has refused to lie for so long she simply can’t

When she tries to lie, her tell is the way her eyes refuse to connect with the person she’s speaking to. Yua is a proud woman always willing to stand her ground and face off against anyone, so avoiding eye contact is a clear indicator something is up

Hatake Hotaru

Not a bad lier, but no great. Prefers to deal in half truths and skirt around the issue. When it comes to missions, she’s blunt and to the point.

Hatake Hikaki

Possibly the best lier. Knows how to lie through her teeth with a flat expression on her face. Rarely ever gets called out on it and has absolutely olutly lied to her own father in law about missions without remorse.

Uchiha-Senju Akane

A rather talented lier. Holds herself high and lets herself lie with ease. Though she does have a tell. If Akane is gripping her hands just a little too hard it means she’s lying

Either gripping them behind her back, or balling them into fists so hard that her knuckles go white.

Uchiha-Senju Yukio

Not a very good lier. Yukio knew he was never made for field work because he was never a talented killer or a talented lier. He didn’t like either of them and anyone with eyes could see he was lying without much difficulty.

Yukio has always been known to use his talent for creating weapons, and he likes it that way
