It's Calvin and Carus! I think that these two goobers could have a very nice friendship dynamic.

I also plan to submit an art piece featuring these two for my school's beginner art exhibit.

Light dappling the tightly wound figures within the bed as their still forms huddled beneath multicolored furs.

Soft breathing, even softer voices.

A light touch tracing the marble-like features of the larger man's face, his pale eyes–for once, at ease– fixed on the more delicate man lying face to face with him. Something warm, something palpable in the air between them.

Both as close to the edge of love as they can handle without falling.

That gently caressing hand finds old scars and traces them too– mapping the story written across pale skin into his own memory. He leans in, tracing soft lips over these scars, whispering words of care and hope into marred flesh. Pale eyes close as the ice around his heart cracks and melts away, little by little.

Scarred hands. Steady hands. Unfaltering hold on the figure before him. What he lacks in softness he will make up for with tooth and claw and the promise of no harm shall come to you as long as I breathe. To hold his light with bloodied, undeserving hands. To be reminded that these hands are deserving, despite everything.

Face to face, hearts laid bare,
