Okay okay so. The thing is these guys are my only two OCs who genuinely have a well thought out role swap. Incoming insane rant featuring: extremely toxic not very consensual yaoi, pet whump, torture, kidnapping, sleep deprived author

So like I don’t think I actually talked about them very much on here but for a baseline: Suriya’s story starts with him being the scapegoat for the mistakes of the mafia boss who kidnapped/raised him. So he gets turned into a pet as an apology gift for the boss’s failures which are blamed on him (skipping over so much stuff here) but that doesn’t work out so the boss gives Suriya as a gift to her hitman. Kosuke.

Kosuke is a depressed bastard. He also got kidnapped/raised by the mafia people and he fucking hates his job. But he can’t leave. My man has a lot of unresolved issues which he is unfortunately very excited to take out on this new punching bag he just got.

Suriya is there for over a year. He is fully convinced he deserved it because of who he hurt but that doesn’t make anything less painful.

Unfortunately Kosuke is really lonely and also has a lot of self hatred issues so he’s like. Man I have this guy right here who can’t ever leave me. Boyfriend time. And of course Suriya can’t refuse even though he’s aroace (doesn’t know the word tho). Cue a really weird and toxic relationship as Kosuke continues to use Suriya as a punching bag but also as a boyfriend. Kosuke gets really attached. Makes Suriya promise to never leave him. Suriya does promise, and he means it—he is unfortunately very talented at seeing the good in his torturers and he also really likes feeling important and not disposable.

And now you may be saying, what is the roleswap like? The whump? What is Suriya gonna do to Kosuke?

One important thing to understand though is that Suriya. Is fucking terrible at being a whumper.

His mafia boss ordered him to be one once and he had to be whumped into being a whumper. And the whole time he was crying throwing up and in general really bad at it. He’s fucking terrible at asserting himself let alone enough to cause someone pain. (Also becuase of the Traumas he’s extremely adverse to causing people pain anyways). My imagined roleswap for Kosuke and Suriya is not a whumper-whumpee roleswap but an owner-pet roleswap.

In this AU it’s Kosuke who is the scapegoat instead and turned into a pet who is dumped on Suriya because the gifting didn’t work out. Suriya absolutely panics, he’s barely an adult at this point in the story and he’s completely unprepared for having a person-who-doesn’t-believe-he’s-a-person suddenly thrust into his care. Also he’s still reeling from the trauma of being forced to torture an innocent person! It’s incredibly overwhelming and stressful for him.

Meanwhile Kosuke has gone from depressed to repressed. Actually no still depressed but it all goes into the repression bottle you know! He has convinced himself that being the perfect pet will solve all his problems now. His main problems being of course the fact that anyone could torture him for any reason now and everyone would think he deserved it. And also the feeling he’s always had that he has no real purpose in life but what’s that? Repression!

So yeah it’s the combination of an incredibly stressed teenager one panic attack from becoming a Ball of Crying and an incredibly stressed hitman-turned-torture-victim one small mistake away from the worst mental illness moment in the history of mankind. It’s chaotic and emotional but this is honestly a pretty nice AU for them? Suriya is genuinely committed to helping the guy recover and Kosuke is not really in a position to hurt anyone (nor does he want to once his mental state improves).

I think they end up escaping the mafia together. No romance at all ofc. But yeah those are just my silly little thoughts and someone tell me to sleep

With the help of his other fireteam members, Rocky and Isaac, he defeated Oryx and brought temporary peace to the Last City. He’s since then become the “official” greeter of all the new Guardians who come to the Last City. In his original life, he was a soldier who was devoted to protecting the Earth from potential invaders. He had a fiancé who wanted to travel the rest of the galaxy, but couldn’t convince Matt into leaving with her. She ended up leaving on the ship that would cause the creation of the Awoken while Matt stayed on Earth and witnessed the Collapse. His name was teasingly given to him by some other Guardians who were bullying him when he first came to the City as a Guardian (they called him a floormat due to his tendency for falling on his face).

He’s friends with literally everyone in the Last City and beyond, and one of the biggest supporters of the friendly relations between the House of Light and Caiatl’s forces. His only enemies are the ones presented as such (Ghaul, Oryx, Savathun, etc.) and anyone who fully aligns themself with the Darkness (Guardians who wield Darkness abilities were hard for him to get used to at first, but he’s made peace with it; however you will never see him doing anything of the sort)

Inspiration for creation: When I first started playing Destiny, I wanted to make a character that looked like McCree from Overwatch, but I ended up making him just straight up look like Matt Mercer instead LOL. My reasoning was further supported by the fact that the og voice for male humans was in fact actual Matt Mercer haha

4. A character you rarely talk about?

Hmm. That would probably have to be my three Mando squad members: Vys’kydir Civhuull, Caedyc Akid, and Suriya Ger'Mana. I love them all SO much and I need to introduce the world to them.

13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs?

Eh. I feel like "troublemaker" is a bit too innocent of a term for the shit my OCs get up to. The closest I have to this would be the Storyteller (aka the DM), but his "troublemaking" is a lot more malevolent and sadistic.

27. Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song?

I mentioned this in the previous ask, but "Resist and Bite" by Sabaton was entirely the inspiration for Ayala. The song is about a 40 soldier company that held off a Nazi invasion force for 18 days before they were finally forced to surrender. When they finally did surrender, and the Nazis asked where the rest of the men were (because they couldn't believe that such a small force managed to hold them off), the defending force just laughed them off like "this is it buddy."

Ayala's story is pretty much exactly that. When the Empire, who were running an extermination mission against the Mandalorians, invaded the planet they were hiding out on, she was able to lead her clan/the other Mandalorians in a counter offensive that held off the empire for about two weeks. She had sent a select few Mandos off world to get reinforcements, but the reinforcements never showed.

In the end, she was forced to surrender to the Commodore leading the attack, because she couldn't stand to lose anyone else. Especially with her clan and family among those fighting. Ayala is so ashamed of this, as the Empire had not once managed to capture a live Mandalorian. They either escaped or fought to the death.

And so Commodore Raandall keeps Ayala as a trophy of his victory to show off to the other members of command, using her clan's imprisonment to keep her cooperative.

Man. I love them lmao.

30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?

Hm. I think possibly Vaela. She needs things to cuddle at night.

37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human

Well, obviously Lehala, but that's cheating since you know her. I think next up would be the Storyteller/Dungeon Master. He's an all-powerful trickster god whose origins are nebulous at best.

44. Something you like about your OCs in general

I think that I like how human they are? I don't mean human in the literal human species sense, but I think they are all pretty well-rounded and real, y'know? I work hard to make them seem as believable as possible, and I like to think I accomplish that.

Also, I'm good at making hot and fucked up men. I love doing that specifically. Make the fiction you want to see in the world, yeah?

45. A character you no longer use?

I don't think I have this, actually? Because any OCs I have are not no longer being used, they're just on the back burner until I get some inspiration for them.

🔨 Are there any whump tropes that you'd love to see your OC's reactions to even though you couldn't or wouldn't put it into your actual story for whatever reason?

Yeah actually— l would want to see Chiar’s reaction to being publicly humiliated, like collared or muzzled, and just watch him lose his humanity a little bit more. “You want an animal? Then why are you so surprised I bite?” But in the current plot line Chiar doesn’t have any enemies who would do this. So it just doesn’t make sense to include it

📫 Have you changed a significant plot or character choice solely due to your reader's reactions to previous chapters? Are you happy with the result?

Hmm…no I don’t think so…unless you count the CYOA story which is practically defined by the readers choices and reactions

🔪 Are there any other writer's whumper/whumpee OCs you think would be particularly interesting for your OC to engage with?

In all honesty, I think your oc Suriya would get along great with Valian. They could be sad together

Also your oc Isaac and Syl from Raising Chaos would definitely commit murder together. Or Isaac would try to eat Syl. That could get interesting considering Syl can’t die unless it’s at the hands of another cryptid.

⏳ Would you honestly prefer for your story to have a satisfying, completed end, or would you prefer to continue to forever tell pieces of their story until the end of time?

A completed end. It would feel beyond satisfying to look at a finished document. All the plot lines, all the details in my head, everything connected to the story finally put down on paper. Yeah it would be pretty neat. Too bad i’m a professional procrastinator and this will never happen :’)

I'm a bit of a naming freak where I love my ocs names and I'm never sure if anyone else will understand them or not

Anyways here's some of my witch girls names as I like them and they they are fun :)

Anthemis (Ant) Aether

-Anthemis is specifically named after the roman chamomile (scientific name) I specifically chose this flower as it is known as a "helper flower" as it helps other plants grow! Which I think is perfect for Ant as when she goes to the witch world she helps the other witches grow and along with her herself growing as well :) Aether references the greek god Aether as he is a god of light which suits Ant as she is kinda the light of the story (especially for Mica) she fights back against what she doesn't believe is right and doesn't let anyone stop her.

Ophelia (Ophie) Mooney

-Ophelia is pretty obvious as it's reference to the character in hamlet, it's kind of a "bad name" in water witch society as it implies your death will be by your own power or that you fail to ever master your power allowing it to overtake you. Ophie is often judged throughout the story and her abilities are often questioned. Other water witches gossip about them and they think that Ophie only got as far as they have because of her close relationship with the water prodigy. So like the name just reinforces that idea. Mooney is pretty obvious as it references the moon witch affects the oceans tides

Ursula Mamien

-Ursula is pretty simple Ursula literally means "little bear" and it's also a reference to the constellation Ursa Major greek story. the Ursa Major never goes below the horizon line which I like to imagine as a reference to how Ursula will out live many of her animal companions and they can never truly be together. Mamien just is a word I made up from mammal.

Mica Igneil

-Sorry Mica your name is not very complex is just mica is a crystal and Igneil just is a word I made up from igneous which is just a type of rock. Sorry Mica I love you but your name is very straightforward

Toril (Tori) Watts

-Toril means thunder/thors battle Tori is a witch who LOVES training and combat he loves the thrill of battle and loves to practice new moves and stuff. He also loves training the other witches. While most witches view training a chore Tori loves it. So like thors battle lightning witch loves battling its perfect. Watts is literally just electrical watts that's it (can you see I put all the meaning into the first names?)

Aeo Coriol

-Aeo stems from Aeolian which means "relating to or arising from the actions of the wind" so yeah not much meaning behind this one other then wind but I think it's a cute name. Coriol comes from coriolis which comes from coriolis force which is something that affects wind patterns. Simple but cute her initials are then AC which haha cute.

Elio Suriya

-Elio comes from Aelius and means "the sun" so yeah kinda perfect for the fire witch since the sun is just a giant ball of fire? Also the sun is very big and imposing which so is Elio. Elio has scared many of the other witches and is close to very few of the other prodigies as many just don't understand them (autism moment). The sun is often also portayed as more masculine then feminine and I think it's sweet because it shows how comfortable Elio is with their identity they they don't care if they aren't the most feminine they are still a women :) Suriya comes from Surya which is the hindu sun god. Lots of sun references for Elio
