I wanna make like a comic/web comic but all my stories are super long and like drawn out. While they could be cool for a comic it would be a lot since I've never really done that before. So I want something shorter with a clearer like story and stuff that's not super long but I don't have any of those. I have so much free time now tho I need something to do 😭😭

Thinking of pirate names for Ruby much to her dismay. I like the idea of her being called "the sea vixen" or just "the vixen" something fox related due to her being sly and pretty cunning. She is also known as a bit of a trickster amongst other pirates as there have been a few occasions where she will betray those she's working with to take the treasure for herself. Also big fluffy red hair so she's kinda fox like. Another one I've thought of is "she-kraken" due to her ability to summon a giant tentacle to aid her in combat. She is not exactly well liked amongst other pirates but she is feared and respected.

90% of my oc/story planning is done in the car. It is just so easy for me to drift off while someone else is driving

I've always accepted that at the end of the story Ophie would become the new water prodigy which is kinda why 1. It has taken me so long to design the actual water prodigy and 2. Why I'm kinda hesitant on my original plans.

Anyways here they are!! I still got a lot of things to work out on them but finally at least got a design

I know for a fact I want one of my witch girls to be disabled and I was originally gonna make them the water prodigy (yes I STILL haven't made the water prodigy) but like because of plot reasons didn't want to so I was like "wait Ursula is always riding her bear what if that's because she can't walk for a long time or something" also like bear mobility aid?? Like how metal is that

I've flipped flopped between having Lucy as the protagonist instead of Jackson because Lucy has the strongest connection with the spiritual world and stuff but at the same token I think it would be cooler to have the main character not be as in sync and leave it be more of a mystery to the reader/viewer also Lucy is just a super interesting character to me and it would be cooler if people only got parts of that thought Jackson's eyes and slowly get to see more and more

Death is kinda a big topic in Nurses Grave and in it the 3 main characters are called "haunted kids" and haunted kids are "people who saw the exact moment a soul left its body" (kinda like the thestrals in harry potter) but all the kid witnessed it in someone different.

For Lucy it was his grandma,

For Jackson it was his friend,

And for Caden it was a stranger,

I think it would be an interesting to view how this connection in witnessing a death although they all had different relationships with the deceased would play out in the story.

I don't think it will matter story wise but I thought it would be funny since Ruby's patron requested the soul of her parents daughter specifically and not just child that Ruby has a bunch of older brothers. Her parents just kept getting boys instead of the one they needed hehe. But it's also funny because Ruby gets burdened with all her family responsibilities since she has magical powers against her will. Also here are her brothers names

It's just a little silly thing Ruby is probably closets with Jasper and Garnet since they before her they had the most responsibilities so they understand what she's going through and help her out.

I'm a bit of a naming freak where I love my ocs names and I'm never sure if anyone else will understand them or not

Anyways here's some of my witch girls names as I like them and they they are fun :)

Anthemis (Ant) Aether

-Anthemis is specifically named after the roman chamomile (scientific name) I specifically chose this flower as it is known as a "helper flower" as it helps other plants grow! Which I think is perfect for Ant as when she goes to the witch world she helps the other witches grow and along with her herself growing as well :) Aether references the greek god Aether as he is a god of light which suits Ant as she is kinda the light of the story (especially for Mica) she fights back against what she doesn't believe is right and doesn't let anyone stop her.

Ophelia (Ophie) Mooney

-Ophelia is pretty obvious as it's reference to the character in hamlet, it's kind of a "bad name" in water witch society as it implies your death will be by your own power or that you fail to ever master your power allowing it to overtake you. Ophie is often judged throughout the story and her abilities are often questioned. Other water witches gossip about them and they think that Ophie only got as far as they have because of her close relationship with the water prodigy. So like the name just reinforces that idea. Mooney is pretty obvious as it references the moon witch affects the oceans tides

Ursula Mamien

-Ursula is pretty simple Ursula literally means "little bear" and it's also a reference to the constellation Ursa Major greek story. the Ursa Major never goes below the horizon line which I like to imagine as a reference to how Ursula will out live many of her animal companions and they can never truly be together. Mamien just is a word I made up from mammal.

Mica Igneil

-Sorry Mica your name is not very complex is just mica is a crystal and Igneil just is a word I made up from igneous which is just a type of rock. Sorry Mica I love you but your name is very straightforward

Toril (Tori) Watts

-Toril means thunder/thors battle Tori is a witch who LOVES training and combat he loves the thrill of battle and loves to practice new moves and stuff. He also loves training the other witches. While most witches view training a chore Tori loves it. So like thors battle lightning witch loves battling its perfect. Watts is literally just electrical watts that's it (can you see I put all the meaning into the first names?)

Aeo Coriol

-Aeo stems from Aeolian which means "relating to or arising from the actions of the wind" so yeah not much meaning behind this one other then wind but I think it's a cute name. Coriol comes from coriolis which comes from coriolis force which is something that affects wind patterns. Simple but cute her initials are then AC which haha cute.

Elio Suriya

-Elio comes from Aelius and means "the sun" so yeah kinda perfect for the fire witch since the sun is just a giant ball of fire? Also the sun is very big and imposing which so is Elio. Elio has scared many of the other witches and is close to very few of the other prodigies as many just don't understand them (autism moment). The sun is often also portayed as more masculine then feminine and I think it's sweet because it shows how comfortable Elio is with their identity they they don't care if they aren't the most feminine they are still a women :) Suriya comes from Surya which is the hindu sun god. Lots of sun references for Elio
