I think it's ridiculous that old man Empire Strikes Back Obi-Wan was genuinely out there looking at his best friend's son and remembering Anakin's crooked smile and messy hair and the look on his face when he saw rain for the first time and his hatred for vegetables and tendency to lose his lightsaber and his night owl habits and that he blushed on the nape of his neck (hello) and he's calling him his "beautiful friend" like man do you need a minute alone

Twin Ghost Kings

An idea I got into my head, I've seen a few tropes where Danny and Dani are twins, two sides of a coin, the king and the free spirit sort of idea. so what if, both Dani and Danny become the ghost king?

I can just imagine some poor smuck (cult? the Justice Leauge? someone from another fandom?) decides to summon "the ghost king" for whatever reason, so solve XYZ or to grant them world dominating power, whatever, and they're expecting a single, monsterous, tyranical being Pariah Dark, but in stead, they get these two black and white child-ghosts (they're not acctually children, it's been centuries, but it's fun to be OP while being underestimated and messing with people)

This wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote a bit of it, so...

The boy’s eyes roamed over the heroes, down to the circle and then made eye contact with John.

“Dani?” he asked, tone echoing and childish but oh, so dangerous. The hair on the back of John's neck stood on end. The girl similarly looked directly at John, acid green eyes boring into him. The feeling doubled down.

“Yes, Danny?”

“I think we’ve been summoned.”

The two smiled twin grins. It was sharp and mischievous and unnerving with too many teeth, too wide for their faces. As they continued to speak, the two began to float around as easily and aimlessly as leaves in a breeze, circling the heroes like predators evaluating their next kill. John certainly felt like prey.

“I think you’re right.”

“Someone tried to call Pariah.”

“Someone called the ghost king.”

“Someone wants the dark.”

“Someone made a mistake…”

“Ying yang spirits,” John muttered. The two children continued to circle each other in a dizing display of black and white and green eyes that hold too much power.

“Nope,” the girl giggled, popping the p.

“Close, but no.” Confirmed the boy in a sing-song voice, his impish smile only growing sharper. 

“Then wha– who are you?”

The spirits stopped their flying to drop to the ground in front of Constantine, their wispy tails splitting and solidifying into sets of legs so they could stand and stare with those green eyes at the man.

“We are the ghost king,” the boy said simply, voice teeming with power that made John’s ears hurt. The girl continued.

“Heirs apparent of the infinite realms and all that call it home.”

“And you have dared to summon us.”

“I don’t understand,” John had to try twice before his voice was loud enough to be heard. “I thought I called The King... Pariah Dark?"

"We told you."

"We are the king."

“I am the king phantom,” declared the boy. “Watcher of stars, bane of the dark. I am the guardian, the keep, the order. I am the light of the moons.”

“I am the king phantasm,” declared the girl. “Who followed after and seen all first. I am the wanderer, the wild, the chaos. I am the void between.”

“You demanded the Ghost King.”

“You called to the Dark.”

“So, tell us, Hellblazer,” the girl mused, grin sharp and wicked as she circled him, pausing to leer over his shoulder. “Who are you loyal to?”

“The crown?”

“Or the dark?”

“Be honest now.”

“We’ll know if you lie.”

“We can see your soul.”

“We own most of it, after all.”

Funny enough, another reason I'm making these two different questions is because you can understand that a Black character might be beautifully drawn/animated/cast, and then you get to their writing and go "ah. I see they didn't care for you very much" 🤣 it's always a sad bit of wasted potential that reveals how far priorities went.

I think that meme about Genshin's two character archetypes being "Boy With Trauma" and "Girl With Job" is still the funniest and unfunniest thing about the game.

Like, here we are at the tail-end of Natlan and they're still serving us "Escoffier's personality is chef" and "Ifa has generational trauma inherited from the unresolved grief of his family's internecine conflict which led to the death of innocent animals."

Okay, I'm kidding, but being serious, if we had a nickel for every time "gainfully employed" was the primary character trait of a Genshin female character, we would have... a lot of nickels.

On the one hand: Hilarious. Every single society in Teyvat is being hard carried by its female workforce.

On the other hand: I wish that more of the female cast was given fully realized backstories outside of their assigned professions.

Like, more of the women should get to have tragic, wild pasts (or presents!) that have bearing on both their character development arcs and the plot of the game itself. You know, as a treat.

I think the reason lwj is so quiet around wwx is because he goes completely fucking stupid when wwx is around. Like full on no thoughts head empty (except for gay thoughts). He can’t open his mouth because he cannot predict what kind of garbled disaster of syllables will spill out if he does. Everything he says in canon has been rehearsed in his head and whispered under his breath fifteen times at minimum before he can even dare to try to say it, lest he accidentally looks into wei ying’s eyes at the wrong moment, causing him to forget everything he was just about to say and also how to walk in a straight line.

Well, folks, happy 10th expiration date! I rewatched the video and here are some things I noticed.

Some of Engie's wrenches on the wall! Looks like a stock, eureka effect, and southern hospitality. There might've been a jag on the other side of the southern hospitality but it was hard to see and I could just be a mistaken jag stan. 🔧

Who are these other people with masks in this photo on Spy's wall? Other spies?

This painting on the wall in Spy's smoking room/ Napoleon Crossing the Alps by Jacques-Louis David. Spy clearly thinks pretty highly of himself, to say the least, lol.

You can tell Spy has practiced backstabbing this dummy. Also, that face. Hehe.

The table cloth has TF2 logos on it.

Some of the books behind Scout include "dating for frickin morons", "so you're going to die...", "bonk! cola's dating guide", "being friends and getting naked", "first dating book", and "how not to sound stupid". Also, that face too.

And lastly, though this picture is obviously not from the video, it is interesting that this came out 2 days after father's day, hmm...
