5 Sides of Human
{Part Twenty-Three}
Genre: Mixed
WC: ~3.7k
CW: skin picking/scratching, anxiety/panic attacks, mentions of blood, mentions of death, Barbatos being aggressive lol, Illusion to past trauma, swearing, Storm has a stutter but I am not depicting it with written word consistently, prolly lots of typos lol, spoilers for season 1&2, I'm skipping over/changing some things I didn't like in the main story so it will be a bit different from canon!

“I don’t understand, why is a stupid record bein’ broken such a big deal?” Mammon crossed his arms. “Beel’s just cursed or somethin’ right? So just reverse it. No biggie for someone like you, Lucifer.”
It didn’t take long for most everyone to begin sobering up once Lucifer began to exhibit signs of panic. While some thought it was just because he cherished his precious records, others were a bit more concerned. The usual stoicism of the eldest brother faltering was not something often seen, and Storm especially began to grow deeply concerned by what this meant.
“It’s not just the siren song that was on this record.” Lucifer sighed, nervously picking at pieces of vinyl. “It contained numerous dangerous songs. One of those songs was the Hymn of the Reaper.”
Solomon and Barbatos gasped in sync, catching everyone’s attention.
Storm swallowed, fear welling in her stomach. “W-what’s the Hymn of the Reaper?”
“It’s a song from the opera of the same name. It’s performed at the climax of the story.” Solomon gave a deep, concerned sigh. “The protagonist is a young man who is killed by the reaper in the last scene. That’s when the reaper sings this song, blowing out the candle upon which the man’s soul burns.
“This is the record I obtained for you in exchange for some rare demonus several years ago, yes?” Barbatos nervously glanced toward the pieces in Lucifer’s hands, already knowing the answer.
“Indeed.” Lucifer sighed. “The version from the year 1818.”
“That’s the performance that was so ghastly that it’s rumored they were actually channeling the spirit of a reaper, right?” Solomon shook his head, his eyes widening in panic. “This isn’t good at all...”
Storm shuddered as a chill went up her spine. Looking to the other humans for support. The only other sober human was Vivi, who shrugged in uncertainty as she caught her gaze.
“So, what does this mean exactly?” Diavolo sighed, rubbing his temples to nurse his impending hangover.
“It means that Beel may have incurred the wrath of the reaper by breaking the record.” Solomon glanced toward the 6th born, who nervously fidgeted with his fingers. “And there’s a chance that the reaper might decide to extinguished Beel’s soul at any moment.”
Belphie shook his head, frantically trying to regulate his breath “What! B-but that would mean-”
“Beel’s soul would be taken by the reaper and he would cease to be.” Lucifer sighed, refusing to make eye contact with the others in the room. His heart pounded with fear, and his skull felt as if it may crack with how terribly his forehead was throbbing.
The room grew silent for a moment, those were still in their boozed haze before where now snapped back to the harshness of reality. Beel whimpered nervously, not knowing what to make of his situation.
“T-that can’t be right...” Vivi shook their head, feeling their own panic begin to rise. “They’ll kill him over a shitty broken record?!”
“That’s so stupid! And how would the reaper even know that Beel was the one that broke it?!” Fern added, trying to shuffle their way closer to Belphie without being noticed. They stood a few steps in front of him, holding his hand behind their back to ensure no one else saw.
“I’m afraid I can’t say for sure, but I wouldn’t exactly rule it out.” Barbatos sighed. Everyone glanced at each other nervously, not sure how to take the news that Beel’s life could end at any second.
“W-what are we going to do?” Storm nearly shouted. She squeezed Beel’s hand tightly, smoothing over his knuckles to try to calm both him and herself down. “There’s got to be something we can do to fix it...right Lucifer..?”
Lucifer hesitated but glanced up to meet Storm’s panicked expression. His heart dropped to his Stomach as he watched the last bit of hope drain from her eyes, clearly not reassured by his demeanor.
“I’m not sure...” He dropped his eyes back to the record pieces. He smoothed over the vinyl with his thumb, trying his best to remain calm to not further spiral the room into panic.
After a moment of tense silence, Satan cleared his throat. “Well, based on what I’ve read, the reapers are said to live in a cave somewhere in the Devildom, though the entrance is hidden quite well.”
Fern crossed their arms. “Okay, so say we find this place...what exactly are we looking for, then?”
“In the deepest part of the cave is a chamber where row after row of candles are kept. Each one represents someone’s soul- angels, humans, demons...all creatures that reside within the three realms.” Satan began pacing, as if trying to work out the logistics of getting to the cave. “Normally, the reapers monitor these candles. When one of them starts to go out, they know that the person’s death is nigh, and go to harvest their soul.”
“So all we have to do is just get into the reaper’‘s cave and check on Beel’s candle right?” Storm glanced around, her eyes finally landing on Lucifer
“Then...then why don’t we do that?!” Belphie yanked his hand out of Fern’s pushing past them to plead with his older brother. “What the fuck are we just sitting around for then!? Beel’s life is on the line here!”
“Belphie, I’m afraid it’s not that simple.” Lucifer sighed, finally setting the pieces of the record on the credenza behind him. “Amongst all else, I don’t even know where the reaper’s cave is, and-”
“But we can’t just sit and do nothing!” Belphie yelled, now standing toe-to-toe with the eldest. “Don’t you care that Beel could die!?”
“Of course I care!” Lucifer snapped back aggressively, hurt evident in his tone. He and Belphie stared each other down for a moment as everyone watched on in an uncomfortable silence. After a tense minute, Lucifer sighed again, pinching the bridge of his nose. His voice was now a mere whisper, hiding the tears that threatened to pool in his eyes. “I care more than you know, Belphie.”
Beel whimpered again, trying to ease his discomfort by squeezing Storm’s hand. Before Lucifer and Belphie could argue any more, Solomon chimed in cheerily.
“Oh, I know the location of the reaper’s cave. I can take you there if you’d like.”
Everyone snapped their heads toward Solomon, confused as to how he even had that information. He smiled at Storm, who looked incredibly relieved.
“Why the fuck didn’t you say so earlier!” Vivi snarled, balling their fists tightly. They attempted to take a threatening step toward Solomon, but were stopped by Satan’s outstretched arm.
“Whatever! We just need to go. Now.” Belphie gestured impatiently toward Solomon. “Lets get a move on!”
“Wait.” Beelzebub sheepishly murmured. “I should go alone. This is my problem, I need to fix it.”
“No, I have to go with you. You can’t do it alone.” Belphie linked arms with Beel, refusing to let go.
“You have no idea what you’re up against.” Lucifer sighed. “Everyone else stays put, Belphie, myself, and Beel will go.”
Before Storm could open her mouth again, Lucifer interrupted her. “That includes you, Storm. You are staying as well. I need someone responsible to look after the others.”
“What, ya saying I ain’t responsible?!” Mammon snorted in frustration.
“Yes.” Lucifer stated flatly, before turning to Solomon as he began drawing a large circle on the ground with chalk.
“Lucifer...” Storm pleaded, her eyes shimmering with fear. “I’m worried about Beel. Please...”
Lucifer sighed. “...I have a bad feeling about how things will turn out with all of us going to the cave. This is enough of a hassle as it is. I have no desire to make it even worse...” he paused, staring into Storm’s puppy dog eyes.
“But there’s power in numbers, right?” Heart added with a shrug.
“Yes, I’m sure that would be true if you were talking about individuals who were in any way competent.” Lucifer pinched the bridge of his nose. “But that’s not the case here. Just imagining this group in that castle gives me a headache.”
“We’re a family.” Levi interjected, stepping forward. He puffed out his chest in a display of faux confidence as he stood up to Lucifer. He swallowed hard, sparing a nervous glance to Sarah for support. “We wont just stay back and do nothing. We’re going.”
Lucifer sighed, closing his eyes as he admitted defeat. “Fine. But you will all behave and better not touch a single thing in that cave.”
Storm ran to Lucifer, hugging tight around his midsection. He lifted his arms, uncertain of what to do with them as she nuzzled her head against his abdomen. Her voice was low enough to where only he could hear. “Thank you, Lucifer.”
His cheeks burned red as he awkwardly patted Storm’s back, not knowing how to feel about her sudden, brazen display of intimacy in front of the others. He glanced around, landing almost instantly on Fern’s harsh scowl, and then to Barbatos’ warning stare. Finally, she let go, smiling warmly at him. He couldn’t help but smile back.
“I will request that we have some individuals stay behind to aid in cleaning the mess with the angels.” Barbatos interjected, trying to shift the focus to the ridiculous mess behind them. He narrowed his eyes at Sarah, knowing she was a significant contributor to the mess.
“Fine. Sarah, Vivi, and Fern, you two will stay.” Lucifer aided Solomon in moving some furniture out of the way as he marked his path, whistling a joyful tune as he worked.
“What! Why us?!” Sarah’s words slurred as she whined at the oldest.
Lucifer whipped around, a look of rage passing by his features as he pointed to Sarah and Fern. “First of all, you two are beyond drunk and your presence would likely cause trouble. Second, you all specifically are responsible for a significant amount of this damage, and I expect that Barbatos will keep you three in line.”
Lucifer turned to Barbatos, straightening his back. “You have my permission to inflict any punishment you desire if either of them shirk off their cleaning duties.”
“Understood.” Barbatos smiled wickedly, casting a satisfied grin toward the 3 humans. He immediately handed them all brooms, ordering them to get to work.
Lucifer sighed, catching Storm’s twinkling eye and warm smile out of the corner of his vision. She moved to grab Beel’s hand again. He figured she was comforted by the supportive touch, and thought for a moment perhaps he should take up her other one.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve drawn this particular magic circle.” Solomon mused, cutting off Lucifer’s thoughts.
“Hurry up Solomon.” Belphie hissed, impatiently pacing around Beel and Storm.
Another deep sigh escaped Lucifer’s lips. “Please try to be patient. We don’t want him to make an error and send us to the middle of Lotan’s lair or something.”
“He could work a little faster though.” Belphie murmured as Solomon stood, dusting off his hands.
“I have to say, I am surprised that you counted a reaper amongst your acquaintances, Solomon.” Satan sighed, dusting off a stray mark from where Solomon’s chalk had snapped.
“Yeah, aren’t reapers known to like...keep to themselves?” Levi added, “I hear they’re pretty anti-social...”
“Oh! Oh! Solomon! This reaper friend of yours...are they hot?” Asmo giggled, leaning obnoxiously far over him as he continued marking the ground.
Solomon chuckled. “Hmm. Good question. I suppose you should just see for yourself, right?”
“Aww, no fair! I want to meet the hot reaper!” Sarah pouted, stamping her foot in annoyance.
Barbatos clicked his tongue in annoyance before whaping her across the nape of her neck with a wooden spoon. Sarah yelped, glaring toward the butler in annoyance.
“Fucking OW!” Sarah whined, now sweeping faster for fear of being struck again.
“Come on, Solomon. At least give me a little taste of what to expect!” Asmo begged, tugging on his coat.
“Well, I wouldn’t say this reaper looks like an antisocial loner, but I suppose they do sort of fit that description.” Solomon shrugged. “Though I suppose their appearance is a matter of taste, really. I find them quite attractive, though I’ve really only seen them looking quite angry.”
“Wait, I thought you said this reaper was your friend...” Heart glanced uneasily toward Asmo.
“I’d like to think we are.”
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Vivi raised an eyebrow in irritation.
“...Well...” Solomon chuckled nervously, “...I just don’t know if the feeling is mutual.”
Storm swallowed hard, shifting her weight between her feet. Lucifer looked on, feeling bad that she didn’t have Malice at her side. Beel’s reassuring squeeze of her hand seemed to calm her down slightly though, which eased his guilt.
“Alright, finished.” Solomon turned to the brothers and Storm. “Now, this reaper isn’t exactly the friendly type, so it’s possible we may be accused of trespassing.”
“Wha- why are you smiling!? That doesn’t seem like the sort of thing to smile about!” Levi shook his head, scooting his way anxiously toward Heart to mimic Storm’s act of receiving comfort. He gripped Heart’s entire arm tightly, accidentally yanking them toward him.
Ignoring Levi’s anxiety, Solomon began his incantation. A strong wind began to circle the sigil he had drawn on the ground as everyone stepped inside of it.
“I am the magician Solomon, Heed my words! Open the way forward, creating a path where there was none!”
“Wait, Solomon! Whaddaya mean we’ll be accused of trespassing!” Mammon shouted over the wind as it picked up speed, causing everyones hair to whip back and forth.
Again, ignoring the brothers, Solomon continued: “Show us the way to the reaper’s cave!”
A bright white light blinded everyone in the circle before the group disappeared from the castle ballroom, leaving only trails of chalk dust and stands of Storm’s vibrant red hair in their wake.
Barbatos sighed, glad the chaos that was caused by the brothers was now finally over. He turned his attention back to the other two humans, only to be caught completely off guard by the brooms laying haphazardly amongst the broken glass and bits of food strewn about the floor. He snapped his eyes up to Simeon, his eyelid twitching in annoyance.
“They asked me not to say anything.” Simeon chuckled. “Don’t worry, we’ll get this place cleaned up.”
“You’d better.” Barbatos hissed, now turning his attention back to Diavolo.
Luke groaned in frustration. “Simeon! We have to do this all ourselves?!”
Simeon merely smiled, returning his focus to sweeping. He hummed as Luke groaned again, louder this time.
“G’AAAHHHH!” Mammon yelped, collapsing onto the ground first. Most of the rest of the group fell from the portal that opened a fair distance above the ground in a plethora of screams and yelps. Each landed clumsily around Mammon, who slowly tried to get back up to his feet.
Storm had tried her best to land gracefully, but the amount of others cascading down out of the portal ended up throwing off her rhythm. Fern grabbed her ankle as they fell through after her, causing her to land directly on top of Mammon.
“G’URGH!” He spat out as Storm’s weight sent him flat onto his back. “H-hey! Get Offa’ me!”
“Fuck, sorry!” Storm scrambled off of him quickly before helping him up and dusting off his jacket. “Are you okay, Mams?”
“Acgh...No! What’re ya thinkin’, Red?!” He groaned, clutching his abdomen. “Seriously, how’d ya manage to land knee-first on my stomach!? I’m gonna end up dead before I even have the chance to meet the reaper at this rate!”
Storm shifted anxiously. “I-I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to-”
“Solomon, why the fuck did you put the portal so high!” Fern groaned, stretching out their back from the painful landing they had. Unfortunately for them, a very angry Vivi had been their cushion as they fell to the ground.
“Fern, I’m gonna fucking kill you.” Vivi growled as Satan tried to help her to her feet.
"Hup!” Solomon brushed off his cape as he landed on the ground perfectly. “I couldn’t ask for a better landing!”
Lucifer was the last to Land from the portal, surprised to see how many of the individuals had not learned that portals can be tricky to maneuver through. What also caught his attention was three extra humans who shouldn’t be here.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Lucifer pinched the bridge of his nose, the pounding in his head only worsening from the fact that this trip was clearly shaping up to be worse than he anticipated.
“I forgot to mention that you should watch where you land whenever you transport somewhere.” Solomon chuckled, helping a few of the others to their feet.
“T-thanks for the tip.” Heart groaned as Levi finally rolled off of him.
“It’s a little late to be warning us NOW!” Levi whined, rubbing his lower back with a wince.
“Hey...Solomon..?” Asmo whimpered nervously. Solomon and the others who now stood turned to him as he pointed at a message scrawled above the entrance to the cave.
“Is...Is that blood?!” Sarah shrieked, immediately hiding behind Vivi for protection. Vivi hissed, pushing Sarah away aggressively and scooting closer toward Satan.
“Attention Solomon, you damned pest of a magician...” Satan cocked his head trying to read the messy chicken scratch. “Just TRY sneaking into my cave while I’m gone, and I promise I’ll make you pay. I’ll take your candle and trample it, boil it, and chop it into a million pieces. Then your soul will be MINE, you bone-headed fool!”
“Ahaha! You have to admit, that’s pretty funny!” Solomon laughed as the others glanced amongst each other in confusion.
“Uh, no...That’s definitely not what I’d call funny.” Levi shook his head. “Anyway, if this reaper wrote a nasty message specifically directed at you, then...”
“Solomon...what did you do?” Storm scratched her forearm nervously.
“Hmm...nothing I can think of off-hand.” Solomon tapped his chin for a moment before eventually shrugging. “Anyways, lets head in!”
“Whoa, hold on a second!” Mammon spread out his arms, blocking Solomon’s way. “You see a message like that and you’re just gonna ignore it? Are ya crazy!?”
“Well, the reaper’s not here, right?” Belphie shrugged. “So that means we can go in, find Beel’s candle, and leave. Easy.”
“Oh, wait! I almost forgot.” Solomon grabbed Belphie’s sleeve, signaling for the others to pause. “There’s something else you all should know. Here in the reaper’s cave, there are certain rules that must be followed. Otherwise, you may end up dead before you even make it to the candles.”
“What?!” Mammon shrieked, feeling a shiver run up his spine.
Storm bit her lip to keep it from trembling, now digging her nails deep into her skin. She felt so much anxiety rise at the idea of another one of her close friends- or rather, family- falling victim to the reapers wrath. Perhaps she made a mistake in insisting they all come with. The anxiety coursing through her veins caused her breath to pick up, almost causing her to dry-heave. Beel watched as she desperately tried to hide he growing panic from the others.
“Storm.” Lucifer placed a hand gently on her back, murmuring to her quietly. “It’ll be alright, just relax.”
She whipped her gaze up to him. The soft look in Lucifer’s eyes and the tickle of his thumb rubbing against her shoulder blade allowed her to calm down ever-so slightly. She took a deep breath as Lucifer turned his attention back toward Solomon.
“What are the rules, then?”
“Yeah, and if we don’t follow ‘em..? I mean, c’mon, ya gotta be exaggeratin’ right?” Mammon added.
“I wish I were, but no.” Solomon crossed his arms. “Now listen up. The reaper’s cave consists of 5 levels, each one deeper than before. And each level has its own specific rule, which the reaper has determined. If you break a rule, you get punished.”
“Sounds soo dangerous.” Vivi rolled their eyes, their tone dripping with sarcasm. “So, then we follow the rules. What’s so hard about that?”
“The rules here are absolute. You have to obey them, no exceptions.” Solomon raised a brow toward Vivi, who still looked disinterested. “So before we go in, you all have to agree to follow the rules exactly.”
“Wait. I don’t want to put Storm and the other humans in a dangerous situation like this...” Beel glanced uncertainly toward where Storm stood at Lucifer’s side, feeling unnerved by the fact that she had panicked before even stepping foot in the cave. “Maybe you should take her and the others home.”
“We’re not leaving.” Belphie shook his head.
“But-”
“I’ll be fine.” Storm breathed deeply, catching Beel’s eye. “I have you all here with me. I’ll...I’ll be okay.”
“Exactly!” Asmo beamed. “Besides, Storm isn’t an ordinary human. She’s got enough power to subdue all of us just by yelling “sit” and “stay,” right?!”
Lucifer tightened his hold on her back. “That is correct, yes. And the other humans here can follow her lead just as easily. So we’ll be fine. Solomon, lead the way.”
“I see...” He smiled, but beneath it showed uncertainty. “It’s good to see such glowing support amongst friends-”
“Family.” Beel corrected, moving to stand beside Storm and grabbing her hand.
“Yes...Family.” Solomon swallowed hard. “Well then, alright. Ready to get going?”
The group nodded amongst themselves, straightening their posture to follow Solomon into the cave. Solomon’s demeanor changed as he turned to face the cave.
“Alright! Lets face the reapers’ challenge!” He chuckled to himself, a slight bounce in his step as he eagerly entered the dark cavern.
“...He sounds like a child at an amusement park.” Lucifer mumbled, shaking his head and beginning to follow the group into the cave.
“You took the words right out of my mouth.” Asmo sighed, taking Heart’s hand in his.

Summer Rewatch
I don’t know about anyone else, but I have shows I just rewatch every summer for like the past almost ten years I think. Idky, but they just make me happy and represent some really good television.
Young Justice
The show managed to un cancel itself after 6 years because we fans wanted it back so bad. Why? Because it’s so good! Great twists, best OG team, snark, epic fights, moles and more. I love it, I always will.
Justice League
Another show that managed to get its own semi spinoff with Unlimited though I just consider it a season 3/4. Anyway, like above, it really cements what the Justice League is about with its epic fights, other worlds and unique roster of heroes. Plus such good epsidoes from This Little Piggy to Starcrossed in a lot of different genres.
Avatar the Last Airbender
As I’m sure everyone has realized after the Netflix resurgence, Atla sets quite a bar as it delves into tough topics like genocide, and familial trauma, utilizes Asian influences respectful, amazing bending battles, beautiful animation and all with a lot of heart.
Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?
The theme song alone is a banger. I think it’s the perfect combo of edutainment teaching about various subjects from history, art, music and more with a compelling anti hero in Carmen Sandiego. Plus it has really some heartwarming moments between her and the MC, Ivy and Zack.
Liberty’s Kids
If you want to give a pretty good view of colonial/Revolutionary War, this is wonderful. I mean seriously not only goes into the founding fathers and battles and those historic dates. It also highlights lesser known figures like Phyllis Wheatley, Hamilton (long before the musical) the Hessians, anti semitism, Native genocide and others I’m forgetting for the moment, but seriously so cool. Also encouraged my first ship with James and Sarah. Also the song is still so impactful to today. I see a land with liberty for all Yet still I know the truth will rise and fall That's just the way it goes A word now to the wise The world was made to change Each day is a surprise I'm Lookin' at life through my own eyes Searchin' for a hero to idolize Feeling the pain as innocence dies I'm looking at life through my own eyes I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day I listen to my heart and I obey How can I see it any other way? I'm looking at life (looking at life) Through my own eyes
DC Superhero Girls
Not my fav as the others, but I do enjoy the zany fun of it and it’s interpretation of all these famous dc characters in a literal high school au. Also the Zatanna episodes are my favorites so far.
Honorary mention: Archie's Weird Mysteries. I love Archie so this should be no surprise and I so enjoyed his adventures even if it was a bit narmy at times.

Huge Spoiler tho I think a lot already knows this-
⚠️PLEASE SKIP IF YA' DON'T WANT SPOILERS ⚠️
So I just found out about Maddi,
and I am proud to say that I HATE HER WITH EVERY CM OF MY BODY(which is a lot since im 6'5)
Why.. just why did she do those?
I hope she dies in a painful way😔
Like I dunno Dia/Luci/Satan killing her.
That'd be so painful 😃
How about you?
Your opinion(s) on Maddi?
Wait no if she dies she'll end up in Hell A.K.A Devildom.
Then I hope she gets tortured 😌
I somehow forgotten about Maddie, omg.
Yeah, I didn't read the story but from what I read from the wiki, she is a total pain in the butt.
I mean she traumatized Mammon so much, he stopped talking about money, wth?
And also, the marriage part is "funny" Cause my MC [I have a lot of them, yeah] Theo would've run to the wedding yelling NOT TODAY DIA IS MY PRECIOUS BOYFRIEND and run away with him over the rainbow
And I dunno about tortures... Some people like it *kinky moment* lolololololol
Don't understand why witches must be like that in obey me.
I remember Lady Rose or what her name was, friend of Diavolo, and she was amazing. I liked her a lot.
Also, I have questions about Sarah. Do you know something about her? I don't know where I could find info about her.

Hey Meg remember in obey me they did that play in one of the lessons. (you know the one where there's princess Diablo)
if they get to do an other play, what would the Bro's recommend doing?
I actually just got to that lesson! It's also funny that you ask this. Back in high school I would go to the local play competition with my school (never won, but I did get to direct one year). I am also in love with plays... even more than musicals. I think they are way more immersive than a musical or movie could ever be.
I picked most of these off the top of my head, or by looking through plays that other schools in my area did for the competition. I can't say that I have seen them all but the summaries sounded pretty good.
Well... that's enough of my ramblings so let's go!
Warnings: Asmo's mentions NSFW stuff
Navigation List
The Plays Each of the Brothers Would Pick
💙 Lucifer -
Hamlet by Shakespeare
Summary: A tragedy with ghosts, death, betrayal, and sword fights!
People have often called this one of the best plays. Of course he would pick this!
Also it is serious, has a good amount of drama, eloquent. It matches him perfectly.
He definitely wants to be Hamlet and have Diavolo be his uncle.
💛 Mammon -
A Tale of Two Spectators by Peter Manos
Summary: Two people watching their spouses have affairs together and they fall in love.
There are only 2 people in the cast. Guess who it would be?
Him and MC.
He wants his time to shine with them.
🧡 Leviathan -
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Rober Louis Stevenson
Summary: A man drinks a potion that splits his personality into good and evil and they share the same body.
He wany to be Dr. Jekyll.
He likes the dichotomy of good and evil. It reminds him of himself when he plays games vs. When he is shy.
(I could also see him doing some cyberpunk or anime rendition of a classic play like Romeo and Juliet)
💚 Satan -
An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe by Robert Mason
Summary: A retelling of 5 of Egar Allen Poe's best works. (Telltale heart, cask of amontiallado, etc.)
He likes classic literature, what can he say.
Also, Poe's literature can let his suppressed rage through in insanity! :D
(Could also see him picking one of Shakespeare's comedies to piss off Lucifer)
💖 Asmodeus -
Orlando by Sarah Ruhl
Summary: A young boy begins a 5 century journey where they discover themselves.
Orlando is quite promiscuous... so it matches with Asmo!
There are also a lot of elaborate costume changes which he would love.
And MC can be one of his many lovers ;)
❤ Beelzebub -
The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus by Eric Coble
Summary: A girl and her friends find themselves in a desert and use their imagination to talk about how people affect the environment.
He liked the title because he has had that problem before.
But once he actually reads it, he like the adventure that the main characters have.
💜 Belphegor -
A Midsummer's Night Dream by Shakespeare
Summary: A fairy dabbles in fixing human affairs and mixes up two pairs of lovers.
He picked this play for 2 reasons and 2 reasons only.
As one of the lovers he can sleep for half of the play next to MC.
Lucifer said it was the stupidest play he has ever read.
Doesn't care which pair of lovers he is, he just thinks Asmo should be the ass.

For the fanfic asks: 😂, ☕️, 🏅, and 💕
thank you sarah!!!!
😂 What’s the funniest comment someone has left on a fic of yours?
The first one that sticks out to me is when I wrote someone what was basically a soft make-up piece and they said that one of the things I wrote got to them, "like in a dick hard heart soft way, yknow?" and I cannot stop thinking about it LOL
☕ Do you drink anything when you write? Coffee, tea, alcohol, etc?
No, not on purpose. I dont have a writing time in my head, I just do it whenever I can or when I'm bored in class, but I try to have water near me. I suck at drinking water though so I never really end up drinking any of it xp
🏅 What is the fic you’re most proud of?
UH. HM. I don't know! For Obey Me!, I'd probably say Things My Heart Used to Know or You Burned So Brightly. I think the first one is a cool concept and y'all KNOW how much I love talking about Solomon's memories and the second one....I just love that au. I think it was such a good idea lol.
However, the first fics that came to mind were ACTUALLY My Dear Adeptus (Genshin Imoact, zhongxiao) and on était tellement complices, on a brisé nos complexes (Vanitas no Carte, Vaninoe) in terms of quality
💕 What is the WIP that you are most excited about?
UGH ok the one I'm most excited for is a ship I made up for Genshin that I dont wanna say publicly just yet because I want to see how it finds on its own BUT! The OM! idea I want to get back to (if my brain can ever focus on these boys again which it probably will eventually) is an AU where MC was Solomon's apprentice before the program happened. It was only supposed to be a fun Season 1 rewrite but now its a whole thing with like. Three acts and a secret society-esque element and motifs and themes and like. A storyline about self discover, fixed destiny vs one you can choose, the bias of love, forgiveness (not sure if these will come across WELL but hopefully I can sandwich them in there) and its a whole thing but! I'm slowly chipping away at it in private so I can publish without worrying about losing interest and leaving people hanging lol. That's all I wanna say about that though!! 🤫

Hey so I finished CC and am thinking about how Maas has changed love interests for her mc before, but I really like Hunt and Bryce. A lot. Hunt is very different from any character we've seen from Maas, and he's just so fucking good. Idk, thoughts?
Oh man Nonnie. I’ve only read through the book once, but I don’t currently think Hunt is endgame. AT LEAST NOT YET. (Oh heeeeey Aidas!)
Their relationship was great but there was a LOT of baggage and life experiences that Hunt missed out on, so I can’t imagine he’s normal after being freed. Like. He’s always existed for a cause or because he had to exist for a cause. (Idk if that makes sense?) But now it’s like he has been newly discharged from the military. Taking orders are all he knows how to do. Now he has to make decisions for himself. And idk if you know anyone who gets out of the military after doing that kind of structured “obey orders” kind of job for so long, but it can be rough.
And I know he was a slave, but the same idea applies. Someone told him when to wake up, what to eat, where to go, what time to be there, and what to do. He hasn’t made his own decisions since BEFORE his dead lover was around. (And that relationship didn’t sound healthy to me.)
ON TOP OF THAT, Hunt fucking threw his friends under the bus when he got caught by Bryce and Micah. (Can we argue that they’re not his real friends? Sure. Go for it. But he trusted them enough to plot against Micah.) Sarah J Maas VALUES THE EVER LOVING SHIT out of friendships. She did not just throw that scene into the book for no reason.
And she did not leave out a sex scene for no reason either.
Now. Where I WAIVERED on this was toward the end when Hunt CLEARLY had a dramatic “shift” of SOME KIND. Now, again, I’ve only read the book once, so this opinion could TOTALLY change. But there was a moment when it felt like Hunt honestly loved Bryce. And cared for her. But intertwined in that was a sense of unchecked/runaway devotion. And THAT struck me. Because that’s not healthy. And that’s what he spent a lot of time explaining to us he did in the past with his first lover (even though he didn’t seem to see it that way). So. I’m torn.
On one hand I want them to have lots of therapy and growth and to probably spend some time apart so that Hunt can discover who he is OUTSIDE of following someone/a cause. (Bryce kind of became his “cause” at the end a little bit to me. He was suddenly super devoted to her and got blown up. That can be a decision an act of love, sure. But it can also be a decision made out of a lot old festering wounds you don’t realize you have.) I think if they’re going to work out, then Hunt has a journey of self discovery ahead of him. And that kind of journey you have to have space to do alone. Whether that’s a break up or just travel time alone—idk. I just don’t think he has an identity outside of taking orders and being Mr. Lightning for someone else. And that means he’s likely in the near future going to start to feel inferior or worthless or not whatever, and he’s going to take that out in someone else. (If he doesn’t get help.)
Also. Very early on in the book, when the princes of hell were randomly mentioned, I said to myself “LOL if one of those princes ever shows up on page, then it’s anyone’s game.” Then Aidas showed up. And then we found out that he and Bryce have an odd history that has resulted in her feeling he’s trustworthy to some extent. And then he showed up again at the end. So IDK.
Another thing. I can’t get over how Hunt acted when Bryce confronted him on the boat. He spent a lot of time lying to her before that moment. You can certainly change in a few days and I’m not saying he didn’t love her. But his love for her didn’t outweigh his need to find a way to be free. AND IT SHOULDNT. But when you love someone and you want to be with them, you consider their feelings and how your actions effect them. Hunt realized too late that he didn’t do that (and he kinda course corrected to an extreme at the end). And lying to her by omission was not love. That was selfishness. All he had to do was tell Bryce what he knew, let her process it, then they could have planned to get a hold of the Synth and try it or not try it. OR ASK HYPAXIA WHO HAS CLEARLY BEEN PLANNING A REBELLION OR SOMETHING WITH THARION FOR A WHILE NOW. I mean Hypaxia STRAIGHT UP let them both know she could get rid of his dark mark. WHY DIDNT he try to exhaust that potential avenue?
(And as I type this I’m reminded that what Aidas said about Hunts halo sent my spidey senses tingling. If hunt and Bryce are endgame I wonder if there will be a journey that has to do with that “mark” thing he said. I need to reread.)
So yeah. Those are my current thoughts. Sorry they’re kind of jumbled and crazy. Haha.

5 Sides of Human
{Part Twenty-Seven}
Genre: Mixed WC: ~3k CW: skin-picking/scratching, blood mention, heavy tension and anxiety, swearing, Storm has a stutter but I am not depicting it with written word consistently, prolly lots of typos lol, spoilers for season 1&2, I'm skipping over/changing some things I didn't like in the main story so it will be a bit different from canon! Series Masterlist
©️ artwork commissioned by @vivi8bit©️
Storm paced around the common room, panic rippling through her core. Thoughts of blame and the worst possible outcomes for Lucifer's condition raced through Storm's head incessantly, pointing the finger at her for neglecting to care for the eldest when he clearly needed it. Her steps were rapid, carving the same path in the floor with Malice nipping at the hem of her coat, trying to get her to relax. The skin of her arms was streaked pink from her long nails raking canyons into them in an attempt to sooth the thoughts that replayed endlessly on loop. However, the actions seemed to have little to no effect on the endless noise rumbling like thunder through her head.
After Lucifer had passed out, Solomon gathered the royals to assess the situation. Storm had helped Beel and Mammon carry Lucifer to his bed, casting some pain relieving spells to aid in the clear discomfort that was twisted onto the expression on his face. After the royals arrived, Diavolo demanded that everyone else remain in the common area until they ensured Lucifer's condition was stable, shutting him away in his bedroom from everyone else. Solomon was instructed to altert the angels and bring them to the House of Lamentation to aid in any healing that was required, and few words were spared to the rest of the group. The only thing other than firm instruction Diavolo had given them was a brief apology, followed by a promise to explain things later.
The others shared worried glances between each other as Storm nervously paced. Her clear panic was not aiding in reducing the anxiety each of them felt, and all held deep uncertainty as to what was to occur next. The wait was excruciating, even those who claimed Lucifer as their enemy. The longer the royals and Solomon took to assess Lucifer's condition, the more anxiety festered in the room. The air hung thick around them, and little could be said to ease the shared discomfort amongst everyone in attendance.
"He's gotta wake up...he's just gotta..." Mammon mumbled to himself. He bounced his leg rapidly, and smoothed over the hairs on the back of his neck to try to qualm his nerves.
"I've don't think I've ever seen anything like this happen to Lucifer before..." Levi chewed the inside of his cheek, shifting his glances between Storm, Mammon, and the door.
"No! Not ever!" Asmo whined, clutching Heart's hand as tight as he could to prevent more tears from spilling from his eyes. "Even during the celestial war. He was shot with so many arrows and took so many blows...But he was still standing afterwards. What if...what if he's super sick? Or maybe he's dying?!"
"Asmo, please...You have to calm down." Heart pleaded sadly, pulling the 5th born into a tight embrace. Asmo whimpered into their neck, flinging their arms around them tightly.
"I just don't know what we'll do without him..." Asmo muttered, nuzzling further into Heart's body.
Satan swallowed hard, trying to hide his fear behind the book he was reading- or rather, pretending to read. "...Come on, guys...This is Lucifer we're talking about...He...I'm sure he'll be okay."
Vivi glanced up from the other side of the room, furrowing her brow. She shifted her weight to her other foot, leaning back against the wall to try to feign indifference. Though, even her act was slipping. It was very unlike Satan to sound so worried and uncertain...especially when it had anything to do with the eldest brother. Seeing someone who seemed to despise him the most- even going so far as to try to mess with his life-essence- be concerned about him made their skin crawl.
Storm's clear concern also didn't help her to wash her hands of the worry, as they had become very bonded to her over the past month or two since her arrival. She wasn't sure when Lucifer had snaked his way into her emotions, but he was certainly there now, and Vivi had a feeling that part of it had to do with Storm's fondness of the eldest brother. She didn't like Lucifer- that much was true- but she felt care for him almost like one would with an annoying older sibling.
"Yeah...Lucifer's tough..." Beel commented, trying to lift the spirits of the room. The others glanced uneasily toward him before returning their eyes to anywhere else in the room.
"Sure, but he ain't invincible." Mammon retorted, continuing his restless movements.
Beel sighed, watching Storm's movements become more panicked with each passing second. He approached her, stretching his arms out in an attempt to hug her, and to calm her nerves. "Diavolo and Barbatos know what they're doing...He'll be alright."
Storm shook her head wildly, effortlessly dodging Beels hug. Her breathing was rapid, and she rapidly choked out the words that lay just beyond her tongue. Her stutter was even more obviously present than any of them had ever heard from her before:
"B-but wh-what if he's-he's-he's not?! He could d-die, or-or-or be in a coma! T-this is all my f-fault. He-He's been having all the-these headaches, they've o-only gotten wor-wor-worse. If I'd only...If I'd have...Gah! It's all my fault...I...I should have...M-made him rest...Or-or paid more att-attention to him...or s-something...B-but I didn't...and...and...and..." She paused, trying to take a deep breath to get the words spilling past her lips under control.
Beelzebub frowned, now completely uncertain of how to calm Storm down. He turned toward Belphie for help with what to say.
"He always gets headache's, Storm." Belphegor murmured, shrugging to try to play off Storm's fears. "Of course we didn't think much of it. "
"Plus he's always just grumpy and annoyed. This didn't really seem that much different." Sarah added. "How were you supposed to know any better?"
"B-but I knew bet-bet-better!" Storm shouted, the panic bursting from her eyes in tears. She finally stopped her pacing when Beel finally forced her into a tight hug, allowing her to cry into his chest. He squeezed her tightly, feeling the urge to cry himself at how guilty she seemed to feel for Lucifer's sudden illness.
"It's not your fault, Stormy." Beel whispered, placing a delicate kiss on her hairline. She merely shook her head, clearly not convinced she wasn't at fault for what had happened to him. He sighed, not understanding why she was taking responsibility for something that clearly had to have been just a weird happenstance.
"Beel's right." Fern shook their head, joining their hug. They felt their heart ache for how much responsibility Storm was putting on herself. It wasn't like they completely didn't understand, but it was hard for them to conceptualize why Lucifer meant so much to her. "None of this is your fault. Maybe...it was the reaper who did this?"
"Do...Do you really think they'd be able to do that..?" Levi stammered, biting the inside of his cheek to the point where it began to bleed. "I guess we did bust into the cave...but Lucifer didn't break any of the rules!"
Before anyone could offer their input, a portal opened on the other side of the room. Through it stumbled Simeon, followed by Luke falling flat on his face. Shortly after, a poised and proper Solomon stepped through and whisked the portal away.
"Careful, Luke." Simeon smiled, helping the small angel upright.
"I'm fine!" Luke grumbled, shaking off Simeon's caring hands.
"Any updates on Lucifer's condition?" Solomon asked pointedly, glancing amongst the worried faces in the room. His gaze paused on Storm's forlorn expression, and he felt his heart twist in pity. Clearly she wasn't handling this well.
After finally tearing his eyes off of her, he looked expectantly to the rest of the room. a few of the brothers shook their heads dejectedly. Solomon sighed, muttering curses under his breath. He gestured to the angels, directing their gazes away from Storm as well. "both of you, follow me." Within seconds, Solomon, Simeon, and Luke quickly through the doors of the common room, leaving the others alone with the thick tension in the air.
Minutes turned into hours as the others sat in waiting, each trying to take their mind off of the happenings with petty distractions. Asmo attempted to twist some braids into Storm's hair, but her constant rocking, tremors, and fidgeting made the braid hard to do. Vivi and Satan took multiple walks around the courtyard, trying to coax some of the cats inside. Belphie and Fern attempted to nap, while Sarah tried getting them to all watch funny Fabsnap videos with her. Heart and Mammon tried scrolling through Devilgram, but only ended up dissociating after absorbing a few posts.
After what felt like at least 2 hours, The doors to the common room slowly creaked open. Storm and Mammon immediately leaped to their feet, eyes wide with concern. The others snapped their attention up as Diavolo, Barbatos, Solomon, and Simeon re-entered the common room. Each wore an intense frown, and the news they would be bringing to the group did not look promising.
"Is...Is Lucifer okay?" Mammon asked nervously, looking between their faces for some hopeful answer.
"He's resting." Barbatos nodded, glancing to Diavolo. He gestured with his eyes for him to speak, but the Demon lord said nothing.
"He appears as if he's going to be okay...but..." Simeon sighed, "there's no way to tell for certain. Luke is keeping watch over him now."
Diavolo squeezed his eyes shut for a moment before addressing the entire room. "I deeply apologize- to all of you. This is all my fault."
Furrowed brows and muttered confusion erupted from everyone in the room.
"What do you mean? How is it your fault?" Belphie asked pointedly. He was uncertain of the meaning behind Diavolo's tone. Either he was just blaming himself, like Storm was, or he actually held some responsibility for their brother's current state.
Diavolo let out a long sigh before turning his attention to Storm. "I should have told you all about this sooner. Perhaps then we could have figured out a solution before-"
"Told us what?" Vivi narrowed her eyes, stepping protectively in Storm's direction. "What are you hiding?!"
"What's going on?" Asmo added, anger shaking behind his voice.
Diavolo pulled up a spare dining chair, raking a hand through his auburn hair. He was quite for a few minutes, seemingly thinking over what he was going to say. "Recently... strange phenomena have been taking place here in the Devildom....Very rare phenomena...or rather, not so much 'rare' as 'unprecedented.'"
"Can you rephrase that in English?" Fern groaned. "I have no idea what the hell you're trying to say, dude!"
Barbatos' eye twitched in annoyance at the disrespectful tone used by Fern, but still answered their question. "Bizarre occurrences, such as the collapsing of the royal tomb, an enormous hole opening in the forest, and more began shortly after Storm left initially, right before we began the second round of the exchange program."
"Even before any of that happened, I could tell something just...wasn't right." Diavolo added, shaking his head. "I sensed something exerting a very powerful influence on this world, you see. Something more powerful than even myself or Lucifer."
Everyone glanced at each other. Each felt a wave of fear wash over them, but still were uncertain as to what the royals were getting at.
"So...someone or something is attacking the Devildom?" Sarah guessed, awaiting someone to confirm her suspicion.
"That sounds like the plot of a game. You really think something could be strong enough to do that?" Levi picked at his cuticles, trying to get a read on Diavolo's expression.
"Or stupid enough." Vivi added, rolling her eyes.
"So Solomon came back to help out with...all this...'n dragged Storm along with him?" Mammon shook his head in annoyance. "What gives, Solomon? Since when d'ya care so much about the Devildom? 'N why d'ya have the nerve to put Storm in danger if ya knew this thing was happenin'?"
"Yeah, you have to have some other reason for coming back..." Belphie glared at him suspiciously.
"You may not realize it, Mammon, but I've grown quite attached to the Devildom, just as Storm has." Solomon glanced to Storm, but quickly averted his eyes with a sigh. "Though, Belphegor is right. I do have another reason for being involved in this, and for involving Storm."
"It wasn't just the Devildom experiencing weird events." Simeon stated. "The celestial realm has been amidst the worst drought in their entire existence, and the human world began experiencing very extreme earthly disasters recently."
"Ancient forests withering, clusters of earthquakes, volcanoes that have been dormant for thousands of years erupting beneath the ocean..." Solomon shook his head with an intense frown. "In every case, these events happened in places related to the Devildom and Celestial realm in some way."
"So...that was why Michael was away when I came to visit you?" Storm swallowed hard as Simeon nodded sadly.
"Michael, Solomon, Barbatos, and myself all felt the same sensation." Diavolo noted, glancing to Storm. All eyes followed Diavolo's path, and there was a moment of silence as the room began developing more confusion on why the small, frail redhead was the center of attention now.
"Okay but what does this have to do with Storm?" Fern gave an exaggerated gesture in confusion. "Like, why get her involved in this mess? What can she do about it??"
"Well...Solomon had a certain...hypothesis about what may be going on." Diavolo paused, glancing away from Storm's direction. "He brought Storm here to verify whether it was correct."
"huh?" Storm blinked, her heart sinking in her chest. She glanced to Solomon, who gave a weak smile in response. "I thought...I thought you brought me back here because everyone wanted to see me..."
"Well, that assertion wasn't necessarily wrong..." Solomon tried to give a teasing laugh, but was met with more tears of hurt threatening to spill from Storm's eyes. His weak smile dropped, and he rubbed his neck nervously. "...but couldn't just outright tell you what was happening. I needed to prove it first. And...well...At first it was just a theory, but-"
"And what was that?" Vivi stood, their eyes narrowing. They crossed their arms over their chest and quickly paced to Storm's side.
Satan mimicked their movements, following close on their heels. "Are you suggesting that Storm is somehow causing all of this to happen? That's absurd!"
"Well...I..." Diavolo sighed again, closing his eyes. The others stared at him expectantly, all eyes widening when he eventually nodded. "...Yes. I'll come right out and say that we believe Storm is the cause behind all of these odd occurrences."
The room fell silent, spare for a few gasps and muttered "what the fuck"s. For a moment, the others waited for Diavolo to say he was kidding, but when he merely stared at Storm, the room began to grow tense once more. Storm's hands shook violently in her lap as she tried to control her breaths. Malice was already practically on top of her, and whined incessantly about not being able to provide his human comfort.
"What are you...What are you talking about?" Beel swallowed, wrapping an arm around Storm and pulling her into his side. "How could she be responsible for any of that?!"
"Yeah, that's batshit crazy!" Fern shook their head, anger building in their chest. "Look at her, dammit! She wouldn't even hurt a fly!"
"There's just no way!" Sarah added, shaking her head wildly.
"Well, that's what we thought at first too." Solomon shrugged with a deep breath. "But the longer we've been here, the more certain I've become."
"I...I don't..." Storm shook her head, refusing to look at anyone else. Instead, her gaze was transfixed on a tile on the floor between where Solomon and Diavolo stood. "I don't un-un-understand..."
Simeon frowned, approaching her and kneeling at her side. He rubbed her shoulder gently.
"I know it's hard to comprehend all at once, Storm..." Diavolo shook his head. "But-"
Before anything more could be said, the common room doors slammed open. Everyone jumped, jerking their attention to the small angel who stood between the huge double doors. Luke was completely out of breath as he wheezed out the words: "Everyone, come quick! Lucifer's awake!"
It took a moment for everyone to process Luke's words. The first one to move was Storm, who quickly wiggled out from Beel and Malice's hold and threw herself toward the doors. She stumbled up the stairs, running as fast as her body would carry her. Her heart pounded in her chest as the adrenaline carried her through the winding hall, the others calling for her to slow down not far behind.
She slid to a stop on the rug in the hall after reaching Lucifer's room, falling over in the process. Hoisting herself up with the door frame, she pulled herself into the room, locking gazes with a very doe-eyed Lucifer. She breathed heavily, but couldn't find the words to say to him. They merely stared at each other. Though...something didn't quite feel right about the expression on Lucifer's face. It was as if he was taking in her form for the first time, seemingly absorbing every one of her features in awe.
"Lucifer!" Diavolo boomed, bursting into the room shortly after Storm. Lucifer turned his gaze to Diavolo, and then the others as they piled into the room and began talking loudly. The same doe-eyed expression passed over each of the individuals as they began talking up a storm.
"He-he's really awake!" Beel sighed in relief. "Thank goodness he's awake!"
"Lucifer!! Oh, Luciferrrrr!" Asmo shrieked, almost tackling him in a hug. Lucifer scowled, pushing Asmo off harshly. "I'm so glad you're not dead!"
"pft, I knew he'd be fine." Mammon let out a nervous laugh, walking up to Lucifer and slapping him hard on the back, earning a confused glare from the eldest brother. "He prolly just needed a nap! No biggie. Y'all lost your heads over nothin'!"
"We lost our heads?" Heart raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, you were more freaked out than anyone. Except maybe Storm." Levi scoffed.
"W-whaat?! I dunno what you're talkin' about! You must be thinkin' of a different Mammon..." Mammon shrugged and crossed his arms, causing Vivi, Fern, Sarah, and Heart to roll their eyes at once.
"If there was more than one of you, there'd be no money left in the Devildom by now." Satan commented sarcastically.
"Wh-whoa...I dunno what to say, Satan. Like...next time warn me before given out compliments like that! You're embarrassin' me here!" Mammon smirked.
"Uh. Mammon..." Heart pinched the bridge of their nose. "That wasn't a compliment."
Lucifer continued looking amongst the group as they squawked back and forth until his eyes eventually fell back onto Storm. He continued to stare at her, but his expression seemed to soften slightly when he met her eyes. She cautiously approached him, anxiety filling her stomach once more as he continued staring at her quietly.
"Um...are you okay..?" she asked sheepishly, gently pushing messy strands of hair out of his face. "We...we were worried about you, you know..?"
Lucifer blinked, cocking his head to the side slightly.
"Uh...Guys..." Belphie punched Mammon in the arm to get him to be quiet. "Is it just me...or does Lucifer seem kind of...off?"
"Hey, say somethin' ya wiener!" Fern screeched causing Lucifer to jerk back. His expression to change into full blown confusion. Everyone stared at him expectantly, an anxious energy beginning to fill the gaps in space in the room.
Storm swallowed hard, cupping his cheek. "Lu-Lucifer?"
He snapped his attention to her, blinking twice. He parted his lips slightly, before shaking his head and closing his mouth again. Her hands began trembling violently once more, the soft patting of her palm against his face causing Lucifer to push her hand away in annoyance.
"Who are you people, and why are you all staring at me?"

Its 3:30 am but my heart rate is SPEEDIN cause i just woke up from a dream where the devs dropped an animated trailer for an upcoming chapter and there was one shot with a female character and everyone was frantically trying to figure out who she was. Is this supposed to be a generic MC? If so why would they choose to make them look like that after carefully keeping MC gender neutral for the majority of the game? Is this Lilith? Is this Sarah? Is this an entirely new character? Who could be imortant enough to be given a full-body design and be in an animated trailer?? Was it significant that she was seen with Solomon and Satan specifically? Wow rip some alternate universe obey me fandom that i just visited in my dream theyre really goin thru it
#i might draw her but no promises#pale w brown hair n blue eyes. another reason ppl were pissed at the idea that it was mc bc not every fan looks like that#ppl were overanalyzing the shot too cause like#solomon n satan were on either side#and kinda gesturing towards the camera as if to introduce or present her?#and they were in school uniforms but she wasnt#she was in like. a blue dress#and ppl were speculating that it was a dance? or that she wasnt a student?#it was wild man my head is still spinning

I just imagine that scene from Labyrinth when they all visit Sarah in her bedroom “should you need us...” “But I do need you!” “Well! Why didn’t you say so?”
But instead it’s all the Obey Me brothers and then end scene party in the human world with MC

One of my biggest pet peeves about Jumin and his route is how PEOPLE DELIBERATELY MISCONSTRUE IT COMPLETELY
NUMBER ONE: Jumin’s bad end 2 is a completely consensual BDSM relationship. It might not be a healthy or well executed one, but it is NOT Jumin kidnapping you. Not ONLY does the MC have to ask him for this, and explicitly say what she wants from him, not only does Jumin then respond with “as long as you desire this”, but you have to spend days softening him up to this by outrageously seducing him and asking to be caged/kept forever. and it kind of makes me mad people say this like a criticism while also squeeing over Unknown actually kidnapping you. he’s not taking you to a utopia of orgies and sex, he’s taking you to be tortured until you’re brainwashed. Jumin is literally keeping you at your request in the lap of luxury with wild loving sex as long as you desire it - and only as long as you want it.
NUMBER TWO: JUMIN DOES NOT MOTHER! FLIPPING!! KIDNAP THE MC!!!
The MC chooses!!!! to go!!! to Jumin’s place!! And then she chooses to stay! He begs and pleads for her not to leave, but aside from a brief moment of panic where he’s like “KABEDON!” he doesn’t actually force her to stay. There’s no dialog that I recall where he is like “The security won’t let you leave the building no matter what you do” (and even if he did make such a ludicrous order, why would the security obey this??) - What actually happens is that MC arrives and soothes Jumin’s panic over Sarah and Glam’s schemes, resulting in him falling even harder for MC than before. Then Elizabeth disappears (it’s never fully explained how, but obviously she’s grabbed by the hacker purposefully to set him off - which is basically what he was afraid Sarah would do) and Jumin actually rightfully panics in fear that after losing everything else dear to him, he might lose the MC if she leaves his influence.
Recall the reason Jumin is afraid is because all of the RFA members are in danger, and all of them have a 24/7 guard. MC does not, because her location is secret. And we know from previous routes that the only way to save her when (not even really ‘if’) the hacker comes for her is if the people are warned ahead of time long enough to force 7 to give up the info and then run to save her. It’s mentioned at some point that if the bodyguards aren’t enough, or if Seven’s protection is insufficient (it is) that the RFA members + MC could just live with Jumin because his place is literally the safest place in all of the RFA.
So he is NOT kidnapping her. He is protecting her. And the MC never tries to escape and is stopped by guards. Whenever she tries to ‘escape’ (BE3 BRE2) it’s always ‘without Jumin knowing so he can’t protest’.
NUMBER THREE: JUMIN IS NOT A CRAZY CONTROL FREAK. He is a control freak, but he’s not crazy possessive. Yoosung is, if any of them, the crazy possessive one. Jumin gets jealous, but he won’t go off on anyone (or the MC) for talking to other people. He doesn’t panic about someone stealing her away, he just chooses not to share pictures of her because he doesn’t think anyone needs to see her before the party. Before you go off about that, note how the MC could share pictures of herself any time and doesn’t. Never. Ever. If she had a problem with Jumin hiding what she looks like, why not share a selfie? Indeed, why not ever share one on any route?
Jumin is literally just learning to express himself and open up about his emotions/embrace them in his route. Freaking out at him about being too ‘creepy’ is the same as the RFA members making fun of him because he spilled his feelings about his father on the chat. He trusts the MC and is intimately close to her.
He muses about the things he wants, the things he likes, and part of that is the desire to control the woman he loves. He’s feeling it out, exploring things he’s never even considered before, and the MC is a confidante. The MC has the choice to tell him she doesn’t like it, or she can agree. He buys her clothes but remember she didn’t pack any, so the alternative would be forcing her to stay in her one outfit for days and nights. There really isn’t any way he controls her, and as we can see from his dialog choices (and BE2) he’s actually pretty whipped and is more likely to allow MC to control him than force her to obey him.
NUMBER. FOUR. THE MC ONLY STAYS AT HIS PLACE FOR LIKE THREE DAYS.
At most, Jumin was going to keep her until the party when things would somehow be safer (don’t ask me why, it just always is). It’s basically just a weekend. She’s not stuck there forever, she’s just there for a few days while all hell is breaking loose outside. She’s hardly a captive.
NUMBER FIVE. The MC herself isn’t even really scared. The primary concerns in the route are that their behavior is inappropriate. Zen freaks out because the MC and Jumin might do things he disapproves of. Jaehee throws a fit because Jumin slacks off from work and they should ‘go out on dates first’ if they want to be a ‘real’ couple, MC and Seven are like “But MC has responsibilities that were arbitrarily and actually forcibly assigned to her and an apartment that’s sort of ‘hers’ which is actually unsecured and super dangerous, so that’s where she belongs!”
Who cares if two consenting adults have sex? Who cares if they choose not to follow normal dating procedure? That’s their concern, not their friends’. And why does it really matter so much that a party gets delayed or canceled when MC never had a choice to begin with? Why do people freak out because Jumin keeps her somewhere safe out of concern for her, but no one seems to care that MC was tricked into going into that apartment and then actually straight up forced through intimidation and the threat of imprisonment to be the party planner for a bunch of rich strange men she’s never met before?? (Try saying ‘no I wont’ to the RFA. Every chance you get. see what happens.)
If it doesn’t matter that MC is mostly fine with being with Jumin (or very fine with it in BE2), it doesn’t matter that MC suddenly decides the party thing is a SUPER COOL IDEA. Especially when the former poses exactly 0% danger to her, and the latter is actually extremely and actively endangering her life.

As the group entered the cave behind Solomon, they were at first faced with what one would expect when walking into a hole in the side of a mountain. The air was cold and stale, and surrounding them was complete darkness, other than the light from the outside of the long tunnel ahead of them. Suddenly, the dark grey rock around them fizzled out, and soon they were standing in the middle of a hillside. Small yellow dandelions and white wild flowers littered the area between seas of long blades of plush emerald grass. The bright sun beat down upon them from the bluest of skies, and any sign of a cave, or the entrance to it, was completely abandoned.
"Whoa, what's going on?" Levi stopped dead in his tracks, causing Fern and Mammon to run straight into him. "We're supposed to be in a cave, so why are we in a field? I mean, this totally feels like something out of a video game."
"Please tell me we didn't get sucked into one of Levi's games again." Vivi sighed in irritation, remembering back to a fiasco shortly before Storm's arrival where she, Levi, Mammon, Fern, and Satan were thrown into one of Levi's dating simulators.
"Honestly, this whole reaper's cave thing isn't that different from being inside a video game to begin with, so it doesn't really matter." Satan shrugged, casting a teasing smirk Vivi. "At least this game doesn't have anything to do with intimacy points."
Vivi scoffed, but Satan saw the small smile that formed on her lips.
"Solomon, what's this?" Heart stopped just in front of Levi, pointing to the ground at his feet. Right above the tip of his shoe was a message written in the same scrawled font as the cave entrance.
"Ah, a message written in blood?" Solomon swiftly paced to Heart's side, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "That would be the rules for level 1."
Storm stood on her tip-toes, trying to read what was written in the grass over Fern's shoulder. She felt a chill run up her spine as she re-read the statement, the cryptic message sinking in deeper as her eyes passed over the words.
Satan raised a brow in disbelief. "'Don't look back?' Really..? that's it?"
"So we just have to keep walking right? That'll be easy!" Levi grinned, stepping over the message quickly. Heart walked around it with Asmo at their side, matching Levi's pace. The others followed, with Storm and Lucifer taking up the rear.
"Knowing my reaper friend, I wouldn't be so sure about that." Solomon cast glances around the group members in front of him, resisting the urge to ensure everyone else followed behind. "You're liable to get yourself in trouble if you assume it's going to be that easy."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Vivi snarled, about to turn to face Solomon, but was stopped by Satan frantically gripping both of her shoulders. She immediately shook him off, casting a scowl at him. Though it faded when she saw the fear present in his eyes, now realizing that he had saved her from whatever punishment breaking the rule would bear. She cast her gaze downward, trying to figure out how to respond.
Solomon shook his head as he stepped on the other side of her. "It just means that you shouldn't let your guard down. Now let's keep going."
They continued on for a short distance, the field seeming to stretch on and on. The discomfort Storm felt didn't cease as they walked, and nearly doubled as a faint, familiar voice tickled her ears. Her movements were roboticly slow as she tried to convince herself it was all in her imagination.
"Storm...What are you doing?! Get back here, NOW!"
Lucifer noticed her gate falter, slowing down himself to ensure she wasn't left behind.
"Hey...Did anyone hear that?" Mammon looked to his side to get confirmation from the twins and Fern that they had also heard something.
"No?" Fern looked to Belphie who also shook his head.
"I didn't hear anything either." Beel shrugged.
"It sound's like...'" Mammon scrunched his brow, trying to listen for it again.
"Ignore it." Lucifer sighed, noticing the gap between him and his brothers widening slightly.
"I expect you to look at me when I talk to you, bitch."
Storm's movements now stopped completely as a wave of fear washed over her. She recognized the owner of the voice.
That voice...It-it couldn't be...
Lucifer paused as Storm did, but was careful not to turn completely around to face her.
"There it is again!" Mammon also stopped, causing the others to now pause their movements as well. "That voice...It...Storm, you ain't talkin' ta me, are ya?"
"Huh?" Storm glanced up to the back of Mammon's head several feet in front of her, cast out of her fear-laced stooper. "No, I-I didn't say anything."
"Are ya sure? It sounds exactly like ya." Mammon hesitated, now hearing a slight difference in the inflection in Storm- the real Storm-'s tone. "I can hear it callin' out to me...Callin' my name in the sweetest way!"
"I'm not saying anything, Mammon." She reiterated, now ignoring the increasing volume of the voice she heard behind her. It sounded close; much closer than before.
"You guys seriously can't hear that?" Mammon asked the others once more, who only had looks of confusion on their faces.
"I...I do hear something too..." Storm added, swallowing hard.
"I guess I can hear some meows, but I haven't heard Storm talking..." Satan murmured, looking uncertainly to Vivi, who shook her head in disbelief.
"All I hear is my fans saying how much they love me, but that's not unusual, hehe." Asmo grinned, squeezing Heart's hand. "But...it would be rude of me to just ignore them..."
"No, Asmo!" Heart yanked on his hand to re-shift his focus from the noise.
"None of what you're hearing is real." Lucifer stated sternly. "Ignore it. It's the reaper's cave playing tricks on you."
"I'm not hearin' things! I'm tellin' ya, it's as real as can be!" Mammon snapped, now becoming irritated with the other's denial of what he was sure was the truth.
"That's exactly what the reaper wants, yes. It's all to get you to break the rule for this level." Lucifer crossed his arms. "Don't look back. You have to resist the urge."
"Don't you dare ignore me!"
"T-this is starting to freak me out a little." Storm felt her knees begin to tremble slightly as her breath became uneven. The last thing she wanted was to have to experience this nightmare all over again.
Lucifer heard the fear in Storms voice, making him wonder what she was hearing from behind her. He reached back toward her without looking, trying to provide his hand for her to hold on to for comfort.
"Pfffhaha, sucks that you guys could fall for something that-" Levi paused, his eyes widening. "R-rui-chan!? Ruri-chan is calling to me!"
"What?!" Mammon blinked at him, now focusing on Levi's frantic attempts to turn around, which were only halted by Sarah holding him firmly in place.
"If you don't turn around right now-"
"She needs me to fight along side her! I can't let her down!" Levi whined, trying to pry Sarah's hand out of his.
"Levi, Ruri-chan isn't real!" Heart sighed, still trying to force Asmo's gaze to the front.
"-I'll make sure you regret it..."
"I'm telling you, it's a trap!" Lucifer snapped, trying to walk backwards slowly toward Storm, who still stood frozen in place. Trying to be cautiously soft toward her and harsh toward his brothers at the same time was proving to be a lot more difficult than he had thought it would be.
"Even so, I can't risk abandoning Ruri-chan now!" Levi confidently puffed out his chest, finally ripping his hand out of Sarah's. "Hold on, Ruri-chan, I'm coming!!"
"...Do I have to remind you of the last time you turned your back on me?"
"Wh- LEVI! You idiot!" Belphie shouted as Levi turned and pushed past him, running in the reverse direction of the group.
As Levi ran past her, Storm began to feel the sensation of hands trying to wrap themselves around her neck. She shrieked, closing her eyes and bolting forward, rushing past everyone as fast as she could. If the voice behind her was trying to get her to turn around, the effect it had was the opposite.
"Shit." Lucifer hissed through gritted teeth, trying his best to keep his grip on Levi's jacket without turning around accidentally. "Somebody, grab Storm!"
Just as the words left Lucifer's lips, the scenery around the group fizzled and a doorway opened in the distance. Storm headed directly toward it, bursting through in a fit of pants. She tripped and fell to the floor, gasping for air.
Vivi was the first to be at Storm's side, having a faster reaction time than anyone in the group. Part of her recognized the type of fear she exhibited in her scream and frantic escape, and made her feel angry at the fact that she had clearly suffered similarly to what Vivi herself experienced in the past. As she helped to comfort Storm, she wondered if she should ask what it was she had heard. Though, she thought better of it as the rest of the group came rushing into the room behind her.
"-Well, Lucifer told you it was a trap." Belphie snorted as he sauntered into the room. He shook his head as the group turned to look, some gasping, and others erupting into a fit of laughter at the sight that was in front of them. A basketball sized and shaped, soot-colored figure was being held by the scruff in the hands of the eldest brother, kicking and flailing as he screamed at Lucifer to put him down. It had a long, snake-like tail, bright orange eyes, and coral-like horns sticking out of its head. The voice emitting from the small creature seemed to sound...a lot like Leviathan.
Lucifer kicked the door closed behind him, dropping the creature to the floor with a thud. He whimpered at the impact, cursing at the others who laughed at his plight.
"Laugh all you want!" Leviathan pouted, crossing his small, stick-thin arms. "But I would do it again if it was for Ruri-chan!"
"Aww Levi! Look at youuu!" Sarah cooed, rushing to him and taking him up into her arms. "You're so cute!"
"He kinda looks like a little D..." Beel chuckled as Sarah squeezed Levi.
"AHHEE...Sarah! GAHHH! S-Stop kissing me!" He squealed as she peppered his face with kisses. Fern, Heart, Mammon, and Asmo collapsed to the floor into a fit of laughter, finding Levi's current state of being amusing.
Lucifer clicked his tongue, rolling his eyes at the immaturity of the others. He refocused his attention to Storm, who had been finally helped to her feet by Vivi. She looked as if she was breathing more evenly now, though the remnants of fresh tears still littered her cheeks.
"You okay?" Vivi asked quietly, placing a hand on her back to try to comfort her.
"Y-yeah. Thanks." Storm gave her a weak smile, dusting off her clothing from the fall.
Lucifer watched on, finding himself grateful for Vivi's aid in whatever had happened to cause her to flee so quickly from the first level of the reaper's cave.
"I suppose we're in level 2 now." Satan glanced around the humongous room they found themselves in. "It looks like a giant library."
"We'd better make sure to keep facing forward." Beel nervously fidgeted with his fingers. "If you're not careful, you'll end up like Levi."
Satan glanced toward Levi, who was still screeching and trying to wriggle his way out of Sarah's over-affectionate arms.
"We're out of the first level now, so that rule no longer applies. See?" Solomon turned around, smiling at everyone. "Though we should find the second rule quickly, we don't want to accidentally break it."
"Yeah, I don't really wanna end up like Levi." Belphie grimaced.
Levi finally got out of Sarah's hold, waddling his way over to Storm to hide behind her legs as fast as he could. "Ugh, yeah, no kidding! I might as well face it...I'll be doomed to look like this for the rest of my life now. It's so embarrassing, I would rather die than be stuck like this forever!"
Heart frowned. "You're still you, no matter what you look like, Levi."
"Yeah, and you look so adorable now! I just cant get enough of you! Ahh!" Sarah squealed, squishing her cheeks. "I mean, you were cute before, but now you look like a squishmallow!!"
A deep red hue formed on Levi's dark cheeks. "Eh...Thanks, I guess."
"Hey, check this out!" Fern called out from behind a book case, peaking their head around to beckon the others toward them. "I think I found the next rule."
The group meandered towards them to find the next message. This time, it was smaller, but the message had been scrawled over numerous books on the shelf.
"'Do not touch...'" Beel read aloud before shrugging.
"I can't believe someone would actually deface such perfectly good books like this." Satan scowled, "it's unforgivable."
"Pff, this is so dumb. Who would wanna touch a buncha lame books anyways?" Mammon scoffed, crossing his arms. "Now, if these shelves were packed with stacks of cash or gold bars instead'a books, then I'd do more than just touch 'em."
"Yeah, yeah. You get a boner for money and wanna stick your dick in a wad of bills. We get it." Fern rolled their eyes.
"Oi! T-that's not was gonna say!" Mammon glowered, closing his arms tighter around himself to fight back against the embarrassment. "I was gonna say- I'd throw 'em up in the air and let 'em rain down on me!"
"So...like a stripper?" Heart snorted before bursting into laughter, joined by Fern, Levi, and Asmo.
"Shaddap!!" Mammon's cheeks burned as he tried to maintain his cool.
"Mammon, hold still a second..." Beel cocked his head, pointing to Mammon's wrist. "What's that?"
Mammon looked around him, flipping up his jacket to try to see what Beelzebub was pointing at. "Huh? Whatcha talkin' about?"
"You've got some sort of mark there. It sort of looks like some ink rubbed off there- right by your thumb." Beel pointed again, but leaned closer to get a better look.
"I dunno what that is, it could be anything!" Mammon rolled his eyes, yanking his sleeve back down.
Satan caught a glimpse of the mark as Mammon tried to hide it from view. "Wait...that looks like a Midas Crest, I think."
"My-dass...what now?" Mammon slowly rolled back up his sleeve, observing the mark more closely now.
"Midas crest." Satan repeated getting a closer look at Mammon's arm. "From that old human-world fairy tale: The man who was cursed by a witch so that everything he touched turned to gold. This looks just like the mark that reflects that curse."
"All riiiiiight! I'm gonna be loaded! Ahahah!" Mammon cackled.
"Mammon, remember what happened to Levi." Lucifer narrowed his eyes. "This is likely a trick. If you touch anything..."
"Yeah, it's probably fake, dude." Fern scoffed before pausing. After a few seconds of silence, a wide grin spread across their face. "Though...maybe you should test it out, just to be sure."
"That means...this whole room..." Mammon looked around him, his pupils dialating like an excited cat. "That means everything in this room could turn to gold! All of it!"
"Yeah, yeah! So get touchin'!" Fern snorted, relishing in how riled up Mammon seemed to be getting.
"Fern!" Storm hissed as they stifled a laugh. "Mammon, if you touch anything, you'll turn into...whatever it is Levi is!"
"Like I give a shit?!" Mammon cackled running toward the fullest book shelf in sight. "I'll be rich! Rich, I tell ya!"
"Mammon!" Storm called to him, lurching forward to try to stop what he was about to do. Her hand was grabbed and she was subsequently pulled back by Lucifer, who shook his head and sighed in a dismissive manner.
"Let him learn, Storm."
"Sweet, sweet gold! Come to papa!" Mammon cheerfully sang as he reached out to the shelf. A bright white light burst from the book that his fingers grazed, blinding everyone in the room. When the light finally dimmed down, Mammon was no where to be seen. In the place that he had been, stood another basketball-soot-demon. This one had spiral horns and bat-like wings sticking out of its back.
Fern doubled over in laughter as Mammon shouted in anger, furious that the "Midas crest" was clearly just a trick.
"DAMMIT! STOP LAUGHIN' AT ME FERN!"
"We tried to warn you, dip shit." Belphie rolled his eyes. "But you just had to go and touch something."
"Heeey! Now we're twins, haha!" Levi laughed along with Fern. The fact that Mammon now also had to share in his misery made the experience a little better.
"SHADDAP, LEVI! Don't go lumpin' me together with a loser like you!" He roared, but it only made the others laugh harder and how pathetic the tiny demon looked when trying to be intimidating.
Lucifer rolled his eyes, unamused by the scene unfolding before him as Levi and Mammon began bickering. He glanced toward Solomon, Vivi, and Satan, wandering toward where they stood near the opposite wall.
"What are you two looking at?"
"This library...it's covered wall-to-wall with rare books." Satan leaned in, reading the spine of a book on a lower shelf. "Look at this! Magical Fungi of the Three Worlds: Distribution and Ecology- and it's in perfect condition!"
"They may be rare, but make sure you just look at them. Is that clear, Satan?" Solomon shook his head.
"I know the rule, Solomon. Don't mistake me for a certain idiotic brother of mine." Satan crossed his arms, glaring at the sorcerer.
"Oi! I heard that!" Mammon growled from the other side of the room.
"Good." Vivi gave her voice a teasing inflection made a face at him before turning back around, causing Mammon to again start another tirade.
From the corner of the shelf, a soft mewling emitted, causing Satan to freeze.
"Did...did you hear that?" Satan snapped his attention in the direction of the sound, abandoning the book that had previously caught his attention. He squatted in front of the shelf as Solomon groaned, trying to see where the noise was coming from.
"Satan, it was probably just your imagination." Vivi warned.
"No, I didn't imagine it. It was the sound of a cat meowing..." Satan ducked and turned his head, trying to see between the books on the shelves.
"Uh oh." Storm's eyes widened as she quickly paced to where Lucifer stood.
The meow sounded off again, this time in the direction of another room. Satan immediately bolted toward it, leaving the others in the dust. After a moment of pause, they quickly followed, only to be blinded by another bright light.
They blinked as the light fizzled, rounding the corner to the next room where Satan- or rather, who they assumed to be Satan- stood in the doorway. The small demon had deep green eyes, curled horns, and a tail swishing back and forth in irritation, but he said nothing.
"...Is there something you'd like to say, Satan?" Lucifer snickered, putting his hands on his hips.
The small creature paused. "...I...Well! If a tiny kitten who'd just opened its eyes started meowing at you in a weak fragile voice, hungry and trembling with fear...would you be able to resist the urge to scoop it up in your arms?? Hm!?"
"You're a fucking idiot!" Vivi snorted as she began to laugh, clearly enjoying the view of the small, pudgy Satan that stood before her.
"The rule here was 'do not touch', remember?" Lucifer smirked, trying to resist the urge to join in on Vivi's laughing fit.
"I take responsibility for my actions...and I regret nothing." Satan stated, finishing his statement with a "hmpf" when it was met with laughter.
"That was real smooth, bro...but ya can't pull off a confident line like that when you look like this. Ya just sound dumb."
"The lot of you...Your lack of self control is embarrassing." Lucifer sighed.
"Well, it's not our fault, right? We are demons, after all." Levi shrugged.
"You may be demons, but you can't lose your head in situations like this. Need I remind you that we are here to save your brother? Not to screw around."
"We had no idea what these curses would do. What if it would have killed you?" Storm squatted down with a frown, petting Mammon gently on the head. Mammon flushed, trying to hide his shame from worrying Storm.
"You all need to learn some sense of self-control." Lucifer shook his head in disappointment.
"Whatever. I left all that behind with the celestial realm along with them stupid angel wings." Mammon grumbled, but leaned into Storms touch as she continued petting his head.
"Aahaha! There's never a dull moment with you brothers. You really are a lot of fun." Solomon laughed. "Wouldn't you agree, Storm?"
Storm sighed, shaking her head. "Well, "fun" is now always the way I would describe things like this...but I love them to death."
Solomon smiled, but behind it was a slight grimace. "Well, I'm sure you're pleased to hear that, aren't you Lucifer."
Lucifer side-eyed him. "Pardon?"
"In any event!" Solomon moved on, ignoring Lucifer's suspicion. "I honestly thought that something worse would happen if you broke the rules here. Considering the sort of reaper my friend is, being turned into a cute little d seems like an awfully mild punishment."
"Good thing you were wrong..." Beel mumbled sadly, not liking to think about the fact that his carelessness had put his brothers in danger.
"Well, the thing is...I can't help but wonder if you have something protecting you." Solomon pondered aloud, giving Storm a cheeky grin.

5 Sides of Human
{Part Twenty-Five}
Genre: Mixed WC: ~3.5k CW: mentions of blood, swearing, Storm has a stutter but I am not depicting it with written word consistently, prolly lots of typos lol, spoilers for season 1&2, I'm skipping over/changing some things I didn't like in the main story so it will be a bit different from canon! "Whattaya mean, like someone cast a protection spell on us or somethin'? Couldn't they have at least made it so we didn't turn inta this?" Mammon huffed in frustration.
Solomon grinned, casting another sly glance toward Storm. "Well, I don't think it would have been that easy. Besides, I'm sure you'll figure out who the kind soul who decided your lives were worth protecting is soon enough."
"Regardless, we should keep the idle chit-chat to a minimum and continue going through the levels." Lucifer sighed, looking around the room for another message.
The others shrugged, breaking off into groups to search the room they now found themselves in. Beel, Lucifer, Mammon, and Storm began wandering off to where the room began to narrow, while the others remained in the larger open area. It was eerily quiet for a moment, before Asmo broke the uncomfortable silence.
"Solomon, tell us more about the reaper. I mean, living in a place like this and coming up with all these rules...The longer we stay here, the more curious I am!"
"Hmm..." Solomon shrugged, turning from the bookshelf he had been analyzing closely. "Well, In a nutshell, I'd say that my reaper friend is a little on the unusual side."
"Even more than these idiots?" Vivi tilted her head in a gesture toward where a few of the brothers searched under some furniture.
"Hahaha! Well, we've known each other for over a thousand years now, but there's still so many things about them that I don't know."
"Whoa whoa...wait a minute..." Heart snapped his attention toward the sorcerer. "Did you just say a thousand??"
"Yeah, how old are you, Solomon?" Sarah asked pointedly, eyeing him up and down.
"Easy now, haha! Long ago, there was a time when I devoted myself to researching new forms of magic, but one day I made a...small error, I suppose. And as a result, I can never grow old or die naturally." Solomon shrugged. "So, I've lived for thousands of years looking exactly as I do now."
"Hold up, so you're actually just some crusty old man!?" Fern scrunched up their face. "What the fuck, dude!"
"An old man?!" Solomon winced, insulted by their words. "I'd like to think I keep myself appearing very young..."
"Well all of this isn't news to us. I mean, me and Solomon have known each other for so long now, You should have realized that he wasn't just some ordinary human!" Asmo giggled, strolling over to Solomon and gripping his arm tightly. "But I guess it makes sense why y'all didn't know all this stuff. You just met him a few weeks ago."
"I would say Solomon is more than just an unusual human." Belphie shrugged. "He's much different than any of you guys, or Storm. And he has so many pacts that he's probably closer to a demon than a human at this point."
"Hey now." Solomon's eye twitched in what appeared to be annoyance. "I'm just as human as any of them. I'm just...unique."
"Will you all quit fooling around?" Lucifer's sudden harsh tone caused nearly everyone to jump.
"Yeah, we found the doorway to the next level, so if y'all're done gabbin' ya can come this way!" Mammon added, crossing hims arm's triumphantly.
"Alright, alright. We're coming." Heart rolled their eyes, taking Asmo's hands and following Mammon out of the room. Vivi knelt down briefly, noticing her shoes had been unlaced during the ruckus of the previous rooms. As she finished tightly tying the strings, she noticed Solomon also lagging behind the others. Quickly, he grabbed a book off of the shelf he had been hovering near and stuffed it in the pocket of his jacket.
"Hey, what did you just take?" Vivi stood, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Who, me?" Solomon smiled, shaking his head. "I didn't take anything. Maybe it just looked like I did from where you were standing."
Vivi sighed. "Whatever it was, it better not get us into any more trouble, or I'll be joining your 'friend' in beating your ass."
Solomon chuckled, walking straight past Vivi to catch up with the others. Vivi scoffed, following behind him to get though to the next room. She bumped into Fern as she walked through the door, already annoyed at the congested pileup at the entrance.
In large letters on the wall, scrawled out in blood, read "NO TALKING." The group looked amongst each other uncertainly, not knowing what the challenge of this room to try to get them to talk would be. The place they found themselves now appeared to be a long hallway, lined with suits of armor. Each figure held a long pole axe, as if in warning to those entering. Many doors lined the hall, and it would take hours to try to figure which lead out of this level and into the next.
Storm narrowed her eyes, assessing each of the doors in her field of vision. Each of them had a mark on them that almost looked like a scratch. Each was unique in color, size, and angle, but they all shared the same semi-straight formation. Well, all but one. Storm's eyes zeroed in on the distinguished door- one that had no markings at all near the end of the hall of doors. After a moment of pause, Storm turned to the puzzled group, gesturing with a tilt of her head to follow. The others hesitated for a moment, but followed after her to see what it was she was confidently chasing after.
"You know, I've been thinking..." Satan wondered aloud, glancing up to the cathedral-like ceiling above them. Before he could continue his statement, Levi wrapped his tail around Satan's pudgy head, muffling his words against the thick scales of his tail. Annoyed, Satan bit down, causing Levi to yelp loudly in pain.
"You realize the three of us have already been punished for breaking the rules, right? Even if we break another, we wont be penalized any more than we already have."
"So...that means we can talk?" Levi squeaked the words out, glancing around to the suits of armor nervously.
"I've already done it and nothing happened, so...yes."
"WOOOHOOO!" Mammon screeched loudly, barreling down the hallway past Storm.
Lucifer rolled his eyes. They seem to never shut up, even under consequences like this.
Mammon grinned as he began walking backwards, now facing Storm. "I bet your jealous, huh?"
Storm raised an eyebrow before shaking her head.
"I mean, I'd rather have the option to be quiet and stay looking like I did before than be a little D." Levi sighed, prancing up next to Storm's side. "So, are you thinking you know the way to the next level?"
Storm nodded with a smile, pointing to the unmarked door she was heading toward.
"Nah, that's clearly wrong." Mammon shook his head, bounding to a door just a few feet away from them. "Look at this one! The mark on it is big and yellow and more scraggly than the others! Clearly this is the right way to go!"
Before Storm could react, Mammon pushed the door open aggressively, revealing a ginormous boutique-looking room, covered wall-to-wall in clothing, bags, and accessories.
Satan's eyes widened. "Hey! Someone cover Asmo's mouth before he-"
"EEEEEEEEEEEE! Look at all these cute clothes!" Asmo squealed, stars in his eyes as he looked around the room.
"...Looks like I was too late."
"Oh my gosh, there's so much here that I like!!!" Asmo squawked, immediately shoving past Vivi to get to the clothing, sending her careening toward the ground.
"Asmo, You're gonna pay for that!!" Vivi roared, immediately rolling to her feet and bolting toward him. Before she could get to him, a bright light flashed from where both of them stood, blinding everyone else.
"Uh..oh..." Mammon gulped, backing out of the room slowly as the light dimmed and the figures that used to be Asmo and Vivi came into focus.
"Oh, this dress is so adorable!" The small pudgy demon gleefully smoothed the fabric between his spindly fingers. "It would look so cute on- AGUGh!"
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't rip you limb from limb, you narcissistic bimbo!" the small beast- who they all assumed to be Vivi- screamed, now having Asmo pinned against them in a headlock. Unlike the brothers, Vivi hadn't turned into a small, pudgy demon. Instead, they turned into a tiny purple and black sheep of the same size. Curled horns peaked out from her spongey coat, and the small muscles in her arms twitched as she tightened her hold on Asmo's neck.
"L-let go! My precious skin will be ruined if you sq-squeeze too tight!" Asmo choked, trying to wriggle his way out of her grip.
Satan pressed his lips together to try to stifle a laugh, but couldnt help the snort that released through his mouth. Vivi snapped her attention toward him, dropping Asmo to the ground instantly. She ran towards him, sliding backwards on the ground. With a buck of her back legs, she kicked him full-force with her hooves. Satan's tiny body flew out of the room with the force of her kick, causing the others to duck out of the way to avoid being hit.
Beel frowned, picking at his fingers nervously. As if able to hear his thoughts, Belphie came up beside him and patted his back in an attempt to comfort him. Vivi huffed, storming out of the room to diffuse her anger.
Storm glanced uncertainly toward Solomon, who covered his mouth to keep from laughing. She made a mental note to ask later about the cure for these curses, but now returned her focus to opening the correct door. The others followed as Lucifer attempted to wrangle Vivi, who was kicking around suits of armor and yelling at Satan.
As Storm predicted, the door lead to the next level. They all stepped into a hall with hundreds of stools sitting tucked under long tables. Another large message lined the walls above tapped barrels, which Storm assumed to be some sort of alcohol. The message was even larger than the last, and seemed to be more haphazardly scrawled out than the other messages they've seen:
DO NOT EAT.
"If we make it through level 4, we'll be at the chamber with the candles. Just a little further!"
Just as the words left Solomon's mouth, the room went dark. When the light to the room returned, the tables became lined with a plethora of different foods and drinks. It was as if the reaper was enticing the tired and hungry group to partake of the feast, though they all knew what the consequences of eating this food would be.
"Oh my lord...I can't believe we have to deal with this now!" Fern groaned as their stomach grumbled. "After we've come all this way!"
"Do not eat...it says Do not eat...that's what it says..." Beel stared between the message and the feast, drool forming heavily behind his lips.
"Beel...You can do this!" Storm tried to reassure him, rubbing his arm gently. He just stared on, completely transfixed on the buffet before him that he was being told to ignore.
"It's no use..." Belphie groaned.
"Hey, this reaper friend of yours...they don't have a cerberus-sized pet, right? I keep hearing this...growling?" Asmo glanced around, hopping to try to see over the tables.
"I'd say it sounds more like thunder." Heart looked toward the ceiling, trying to see if the chandeliers were shaking with the force of the noise.
"Nah, that's Beel's stomach growlin'..." Mammon shook his head, crossing his arms over his chest. "I have a bad feelin' about what's about to happen..."
Beel closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. After a short moment, he opened his eyes and turned away from the food. "Lets go."
Belphie blinked in utter disbelief. "wha- huh?"
"We're almost to the chamber with the candles, right?" Beel swallowed his saliva, trying to quell the growing hunger pains in his stomach. "So...lets get moving."
"I...I don't believe it..." Belphie's eyes were wide as he stared at his twin. "Beel...Y-you're actually resisting the temptation to eat...How..."
"He probably cant resist it for long, so lets go already!" Mammon pushed past them, moving in the direction of an archway in the back of the room. The others followed behind quickly, each glancing toward Beel nervously as they walked through the winding dining halls- each one displaying a more elaborate feast than the last.
Beel mumbled to himself as they moved, listing off the various foods he saw displayed on the plates before him. Storm and Belphie stood on either side of him, squeezing his hands to reassure him they were here.
"We need to get his mind off the food." Belphie nervously glanced toward Beel's line of sight, seeing his second favorite dish piled on top of a serving platter. Droll pooled out of his mouth as Beel tried to breathe deeply, dripping down his chin and onto his shirt.
"Uh...I...I'm pretty sure Solomon made all this food, Beel!" Sarah shouted suddenly, causing Belphie to feel a shudder run up his spine.
"Yeah, and I betcha Fern helped!" Mammon added with a snort.
"Hey! Fuck you!" Fern knitted their brows together as they kicked Mammon hard, square in the ass. He yelped and ran toward Storm's legs. He turned and scowled at them as he held onto her pant leg, trying to stay as far away from Fern as possible.
"Hey, look! There's a door!" Heart pointed to the right, where a large double door was situated. A big red arrow was painted on the door, as if to signal they were headed in the right direction.
Belphie sighed in relief and ran toward the door. "I bet the candles are right through-"
His words died on his tongue when the doors creaked open, displaying another dining room. This time though, the tables were lined with various types of burgers- what they all knew to be Beel's favorite food. They all turned to the second youngest, nervous to see how he would respond.
"B-beel, the color has drained from your face..." Storm commented, squeezing his overly-sweating hand to try to get him to look at her. "Are you okay?"
Beel stayed silent, eyes wide and staring at the steaming plates before him.
"I don't think I've ever seen Beel fight off the urge to eat like this before..." Belphie shook his head, squeezing Beel's other hand. "I have no idea how he's able to do this..."
"Well, if ya ask me, it's about damn time he learned to keep that stomach of his in check." Mammon rolled his eyes. "I mean, he's always eatin'. Like a giant pig!"
"Shut up, Mammon." Vivi hissed, mimicking a punch of one fist to an open palm with her hooves. Mammon gulped, now skirting his way between Storm's legs for extra protection.
"Pig...pig...pig roast." Beel moaned, suddenly snatching Mammon up into his hands.
"Whoa...What- HEY! OW!!" Mammon yelled as Beelzebub bit into his back. "Quit bitin' me! I ain't food, dammit!"
"Beel! Stop trying to eat Mammon!" Storm gasped, moving to pry Mammon out of Beel's hands.
Lucifer's eyes widened in fear and he quickly snatched Storm's arms away, just before Beel snapped his jaws toward her. "Don't try to get your hands in there, Storm."
She nodded nervously, watching Mammon writhe in Beels hands.
"D'AAAH! He's gonn a eat me alive!!! Do something!" Mammon screamed
"Actually, he's just gnawing on him a little. As long as he doesn't bite off actual chunks, it should be okay." Belphie shrugged.
"And it might help keep his mind off of eating the food here." Sarah added, giggling as Beel bit down harder on Mammon's pudgy back.
"AHHH! IT'S NOT OKAY!!" Mammon shouted, finally freeing himself from Beel's grasp and leaping into Storm's arms. She caught him roughly, only being held up by Lucifer's support. She felt him stumble slightly as her body backed into his, thankful that he was there to keep her from falling. Lucifer grunted as he tried to straighten himself, clearly in pain from the impact.
"I can't take this anymore!" Beel whimpered, clutching his stomach hard. "If I try to hold back any more, I might hurt one of you!"
"Might!?" Mammon whined, rubbing the spots on his back where Beel's fangs punctured the skin. "We're already there, pal!"
Beel squeezed his eyes shut, growling loudly. "I'm sorry, I have to-"
Suddenly, a bright flash of light erupted from behind him, causing everyone to freeze in shock. After the light faded, a small little D with a spiney tail with fluff-like tip, curled ram horns, and glistening violet eyes blinked at them from a chair near one of the tables. In his hand, he held a half-eaten burger.
"Huh...so this is what it feels like to be a little D?" Belphie shrugged, tossing the burger aside. "You know, it's not really as bad as I thought."
"Exactly! Now you're one of us, Belphie!" Levi laughed.
Belphie scrunched up his face. "Ugh. No thanks. I don't mind being a little D, but I've got no interest in being 'one of you,' Levi."
Levi let out a yell, mimicking the action of a sword being thrust through his chest. "Belphie scores a critical hit, Leviathan takes 4500 damage!"
"Cringy." Heart giggled, shaking their head.
"Bel...Belphie?" Beel blinked back his surprise, his lips down-turned in an intense frown. "Wh...why would you...This is all my fault."
"It's not your fault, Beel." Belphie hopped down off of the chair, stretching his back.
"You only ate that because it looked like I was about to give into the temptation and eat it myself though."
"Yeah, well...I understand how hard that is...Believe me. Which is why I didn't want to watch you having to endure it. Like, if I had to stave off the urge to sleep, I'm sure I would have felt the same."
"You hung in really well, Beel." Storm smiled sympathetically, patting his arm.
"Plus, the reaper already has an axe to grind with you. If you were to break one of the rules, who knows what would happen to you?" Fern shuddered, not wanting to think of the other potential outcomes.
"So...It's no big deal at all if I turn into a little D. We can figure out a fix for this later." Belphie hugged Beel's leg, smiling up at him.
Beel sniffled as tears began running down his face. He snatched Belphie up, hugging him as tight as he physically could.
"Ack! Beel...I-I appreciate the hug, but not so t-tight! You're suffocating me!" Belphie choked, trying hard to wriggle his way loose to get some air into his lungs.
"Something wrong, Lucifer?" Solomon tilted his head at the oldest brother, who seemed to be holding his balance against one of the chairs. "You're looking...well, you're looking sort of pale?"
"It's..." Lucifer's eyes fluttered closed for a moment before he sighed. "My head hurts."
Storm turned to him, concern painted all over her face. She set Mammon down gently and reached up toward Lucifer's brow, carefully smoothing over his temple. "Another migraine? They seem to be getting worse lately."
"They're usually triggered by the stress of dealing with the problems your brothers though, right?" Solomon smirked as Lucifer ceased waving away Storm's concerned doting, glaring at the sorcerer.
"How did you know that?"
"Well, what do you expect?" Solomon chuckled. "When there's a demon I'm hoping to make a pact with, I make an point to observe him at all times."
Lucifer grimaced. "Well, stop it."
Solomon smirked in response to Lucifers annoyance as he again swatted Storm's hands away.
"In any case, yes...this headache seems to be worse than the ones I usually have...but it's nothing to be concerned about since we're almost at the fifth level. I will just rest when we get home and all will be well. Let's just keep going."
"Are you sure?" Storm stared at him, eyes shimmering with worry. "Maybe you should sit down for-"
"I said I'm fine." Lucifer snapped, shaking his head and moving past her.
"Well, the candle room will hopefully be right through that door." Solomon shrugged at Storm, though the look on his face seemed satisfied with Lucifer's current state. "Lets continue on, shall we?"
