Diavolo:

Most of his smiles are out of politeness when he's around nobles and other people of status, though you can tell he's irritated from the way his eye twitches or his jaw clenches when his allies bring up politics or some other important topic, all of his Smiles are reserved for you, and the people within his circle ♡

The prettiest eyes ever, they're this enchanting shade of Gold that look like pools of honey when they hit the sunlight. They hold this sense of wonder whenever he talks, ever the curious one as he's still learning about human customs and how they work, speaking of humans; Always looking for you or Solomon within a room, excited to speak to either of you! if you're together? even better because he would love to see how you interact!

His coat has to be sewn often because when he's bored in meetings he'll play with the golden buttons on the sleeves and they end up falling off due to the constant fidgeting and tugging... Barbatos really needs to get him some kind of toy because he's tired of accidentally pricking his hands with the sewing needle.

FANGS, not really visible unless he's laughing or smiling at one of the brothers dry jokes or escapades. He's quite embarrassed by them because he thinks they make him look silly.

Stretches a lot, and when his back makes a snapping noise he always gets a little kick out of seeing Lucifer in specific, grimace. He never noticed until one day he stood uo to grab something from his office, and his shoulder cracked, and Lucifer immediately scowled and raised a brow, still standing in his designated place in the school council office; Diavolo noticed this and quirked a brow, Lucifer was never this expressive usually? So he did it again and the demon had to look away in disgust, and now the future king of the devildom pulls this shit all the time just to see his friend get grossed out.

Barbatos:

Has this really cute habit of tilting his head when he's confused, he doesn't mean to, its just his nature. But its so out of character for him, which is probably why its so amusing to Solomon and Diavolo... mostly Solomon. He and Luke will be reading up on a recipe and it'll mention an ingredient he's never heard of.. causing him to tilt his head and hum a questioning "hm?"

Also has pretty eyes, This verdant green that stands out against the rest of his features (apart from his hair that I'm jealous of), They also glow in the dark, which scares the everloving soul out of anyone in the room with him. His eyes are also reflective like a cats))

At Diavolo's meetings he keeps his tail wound around his leg, ready to put anyone in their place. No one will speak up to the future king of the devildom when his right hand man has glowing eyes, a pratical weapon around his leg and a charming yet threatening smile that he uses on people to shut them up.

Gets along well with the brothers, but mainly Lucifer, One night whilst Diavolo was hosting a gala, Lucifer couldn't take the overwhelming.. everything that was the ballroom, so he snuck out to take a small de-stress walk, that's where he caught Barbatos sat by the piano- also destressing for a minute- and they sat together for awhile as he played a few notes as he talked, about the devildom, Diavolo and maybe opening up slightly. Lucifer thinks about that moment often, and how he knows things about Barbatos that many will never know.

In his rare downtime he likes to read, finding the world of fiction to be interesting. Especially fantasy books written by humans because he likes to see how wrong they were about certain things.

Simeon:

A really fast walker, unintentionally taking huge strides as he makes his way through the halls of RAD, always has to stop every few minutes to let Luke catch up to him, He's only a baby!! he can't walk that fast!!

Fairly clusmy, Once he was at a convention and someone asked if a spelling error in TSL was actually a hidden meaning for something and he just shrugged and said in his sweet voice, "No, I just could not spell the word correctly so I went with it ahaha"... yeah the fandom was furious for weeks.

Walks with his hands behind his back, mimicking Lucifer. It started at a meeting with MC, Beelzebub and Luke and Diavolo and Lucifer were discussing the whole Cerberus incident, and Simeon felt out of place with his casual stance, so he held his arms behind his back to try and look stern, it just kind of stuck..

Has this stupid flirty on and off thing with Solomon, talking to the sourcerer with a teasing tone to his voice and smiling whenever the Wizard retorted with some innuendo that definitely shouldn't be repeated out loud. Should the Angel be making dirty jokes with the human? no. but will he stop?... also no

the prettiest smile in the whole cast, makes everyone smile back due to the amount of positive energy that the Angel radiates, he just wants everyone around him to be happy, bringing joy is his job after all.

Solomon:

The most charming voice, complimented by his pretty eyes and stupidly cute smirk, he wants you to know that his attention is fully on you, that despite all his pacts and in all the years he's been alive, that you're the only one that truly matters.

Easily jealous, he won't show it but there'll be signs, his grip will tighten on your shoulder, or his eye will twitch in annoyance, he barely gets any time with his beloved apprentice! now someone's trying to shorten it??! He thinks not.

For the love of the stars above he cannot sit normally, cannot sit with his legs together otherwise he might go insane. The worst man spreader known to man, also has an awful slouch when he's deep into his work.

His eyes shimmer when they hit the moonlight, they look dead in the sun, just a stone brown with nothing to add to it, but when the moon hits them there's this explosion of colour, Within the grey split brown of his sectoral heterochromia lay splices of blue and green, touches of his past humanity that he's lost touch with.

Has piercings that match Asmo's. Collarbones are adourned with a pretty silver bar with pearls holding them in place, and his earlobes are pierced and usually decorated with earrings that dangle and show off some of his personality that hides behind his smile.

Luke:

I only really have one for him!! and its that he loves the rain, due to memories with Barbatos and Mammon from the walk they took, (referencing a memory card) His favourite flowers are hydrangeas also due to this memory!

Does anyone think that dating one of the demons or angels could be considered a "forbidden love" trope in some way?

With peace and power dynamics between the 3 realms being mentioned as fragile, exactly why Diavolo rejected the idea of marriage when asked in S3 by the brothers, wouldn’t it then be considered risky to, publicly at the very least, date the demon/ angel from the realm they reside in?

MC, the sorcerer that surpassed their master who is deemed the most powerful sorcerer himself, considered a powerful weapon, with an (unstable, without protection from the ring of light) immense amount of magic, in a relationship with demon/ angel could be considered they've sided with the realm their lover resides in.

The topic (and unused potential) of the tension between the 3 realms, how MC affected that during S2, and wether choosing a lover within a realm they don’t belong in would be a risky decision.

Idk who needs to hear this but as someone enjoys, and finds comfort in fiction, if you like to imagine yourself as a character in the game, if your mc looks exactly like you, down to the last minute details, the boys and girls will still love you the same. if you ever feel slightly insecure seeing all the other mcs being flawless characteristics and think to yourself 'damn if i ever went down to devildom they'll be disgusted by me😂🤣' NO TF THEY WOULD NOT!!

NO!! it's NOT weird to think so deeply for a fictional piece of media! Love whatever you love, however you want to love it, if it brings you COMFORT in a time of need!

The characters in question, are eternal beings who have seen everything in and out, they don't give two fucks about your acne, or your belly flaps, or your stretch marks, or your body hair. I’m so tired of seeing “dom Lucifer”, “top Lucifer”, and “daddy Dom Lucifer” Is he just not allowed to bottom?

Is he not allowed to feel like an ant under MC? Is he not allowed to grovel at MC’s feet and BEG for them to have their way with him? Is he not allowed to be submissive? Is he not allowed to be at MC’s mercy? Is he not allowed to be dominated? Is he not allowed to scream out MC’s name from pure overstimulation? Is he not allowed to be a slut for MC? Is he not allowed to be a brat for MC? Is he not allowed to be a whore for MC? Is he not allowed to beg for mercy? Is he not allowed to beg?

This man is clearly not just a “dom”. He can bottom, too. Just give him a chance and let him. Maybe he gets too tired and doesn’t want to do all the work for once.

I’m looking at the ones who always write gender neutral MC’s as bottoms. Maybe some people want to see more top gn MC.

I find it so painfully heartbreaking that Solomon just...laughs off all the derision, the name-calling, and possibly even did "evil" things on purpose because it's expected of him at this point. (He had not always been like this as Thirteen pointed out before). There was a time when he was "innocent". When his soul sparkled. When it resembled the kind of soul everyone in these god forsaken (pun intended with spite) three realms seemed to associate with the ever loved MC. He's just...worryingly carefree. And because he's like that, he feels even more of a tragic character to me.

Sometimes it even seems that he himself would seemingly make up excuses on why he's hated. Oh, it's because I'm a sorcerer this. I might have won a war against Devildom single-handedly this. I have forgotten. But maybe, I did something bad, that. Hon, you were doing that to SURVIVE. You don't have to be a faultless person to deserve compassion. You don't have to be MC to deserve to be loved.

Asmodeus

another character i just HATEDDDD when i met

i thought he was whiny, annoying, and like that one popular girl who you have no fucking clue why shes even popular

and his outfit is one of my least fav of the brothers, like why they got my man lookin like hes got a gucci fashion show at 4 and golf at 5😭

besides all that, hes become one of my favorite characters! i love how complex his character is, and i know through out the game you see how the brothers arent just their sins, but i feel asmo's is the best when showing that!

i think his characters super charming, funny, very emotional and all his other outfits SERVER cunt. if only they didnt fuck up his normal one LMFAO

i feel no one talks abt his personality enough like id trust this man with my drink

all in all, def enemies to lovers ahh trope with him. but hes so great! 9/10

Sorcerers’ society find out the causes of earthquakes happening faster than usual was MC due to their magic potential (MC being the cause of all the natural ‘phenomenon’ in S2) and now want to investigate MC and call them in.

Drama has already started baby.

Solomon who’s against this but goes with MC to make sure they’re ok because it’s not a good idea to ignore a seemingly threat invitation I mean.

It’s explained the Ring of light was used to console MC’s magic and everything is fine now but they’re doubting it and want to investigate the Ring of light for themselves, if it’s actually successfuly tamed their magic or just a temporary device to tone it down- simply meaning if MC’s overflow of magic would still be leaking and not fully restrained.

[Also add overprotective Solomon drama who’s against this because that’s hot and more dramatic]

It’s found out the ring of light isn’t powerful enough to completely prevent MC’s magic from overflowing and now…

The sorcerers’ society have deemed MC a threat. A large threat to the human world.

Who would be better off dead. No. SHOULD be dead.

Obey Me! Shall we date? Is a mobile otome game and anime were the MC (you, the player) gets chosen to be a human exchange student for RAD (Royal Academy of Diavolo) where you are taken down to the Devildom (hell) but you end up stuck as a small pink sheep due to not being used to the demon realm.

You were brought to the demon realm to be a human representative of the human world, to help make peace between worlds, being the celestial realm, human world, and Devildom.

You are introduced to the character Diavolo, the Prince of Devildom and heir to the throne, the Avatar of Pride, Lucifer, is introduced as Diavolo’s right hand man.

Lucifer puts you in the care of his younger brother and Second oldest, Avatar of Greed, Mammon, Lucifer giving you a D.D.D (Diavolo’s Devildom Device) which is the human world equivalent to a regular cell phone.

You are told to call Mammon to inform him of his role as your guide, where he very happily says “no” and only agrees once Lucifer starts counting down from 3, Mammon being scared of his brother Lucifer.

You are made to live in the HoL (House of Lamentation) with the 7 deadly sins/Avatars.

Avatar of Pride, Lucifer.

Avatar of Envy, Leviathan.

Avatar of Wrath, Satan.

Lucifer is obviously prideful and the strictest of his brothers, being the leader of the HoL. He doesn’t admit he is in the wrong or take anything from anyone to keep his pride. He is the owner of the three headed dog Cerberus after managing to tame him. His banner animal is a Peacock

Mammon is a greedy demon who will steal and get himself in trouble just to fill his desires for riches and valuables, he is a tsundere that refuses to admit he cares for MC, calling himself their “First man.” His banner animal is a crow.

Leviathan is a self deprecating shut-in otaku, refusing to listen to “normies” including MC. He adores the character Ruri-Chan, having many anime and game figures around his room. He had a pet snake named Henry 1.0 named after a character from his favorite book series, Tale of The 7 Lords, before he lost the snake, replacing it with a fish he named Henry 2.0. He is the admirable of hells navy and can summon Lotan. His banner animal is a snake.

Satan is the book worm 4th born who loves cats and reading, he hates Lucifer and hates when people mistake him for Lucifer and when they’re compared. Satan was born after Lucifer tore off his own wings out of wrath against god for the death of Lilith, leading to only two pairs of wings to grow back while the last pair formed Satan, made from Lucifer’s wrath and hatred, even having some of Lucifer’s memories from the celestial war. His banner animal is a unicorn. (I giggle at this)

Asmodeus is the narcissistic and sexual brother, always bragging about his looks and how he’s the prettiest person to exist, saying he looks better than someone after complimenting them. It is revealed that he is insecure about being a demon, missing his beautiful white wings and angelic aura, now finding disgust in his demon form. In later seasons he admits he loves MC as much as himself. His banner animal is a scorpion.

Beelzebub is the always hungry older twin, he is constantly raiding the kitchen and anywhere for food, never being able to satiate his hunger. (Personally) he is one of the nicest and caring brothers, talking a lot about how he misses his brother who is said to be in the human world, when he’s actually locked in the attic by Lucifer for disobeying Diavolo. He regrets the death of Lilith, after he tried to save Belphegor but Lilith getting killed in the process, blaming himself for it. His banner animal is a fly.

Belphegor is the cat napping younger twin, constantly sleeping and napping, he was locked in the attic by Lucifer for disobeying Diavolo, hating the humans and blaming humans for Lilith death, he tries to convince MC that he is a human like us that was trapped by the demons but we find out that’s a lie and he’s actually a demon, he gets us to help him out by making pacts with his brothers, he thanks us by asking to give us a hug, where he strangles us to death before we are brought back to life. His banner animal is a cow. (I accidentally got lesson 16 spoiled to me)

We are told to make pacts with the brothers by Belphie to get him out.

We make a pact in order with:

Mammon

Leviathan

Beelzebub

Asmodeus

Satan

And then Lucifer.

Lucifer is the most difficult for us to get, him refusing to make one with us due to thinking we have an ulterior motive (we do) but give a different excuse to why we want a pact, saying we want to prove our worth to him as the human exchange student.

Mammon is one you make the quickest. Ofc.

The Royals.

The royals consist of Lord Diavolo and Barbatos.

Diavolo is the demon prince and heir to the throne of Devildom, Diavolo is serious when he needs to but is a very nice and overall lighthearted character. He does not have a good relationship with his father, the current king of Devildom but is in a deep sleep, his son Diavolo taking his role while still Prince. His mother died while giving birth to him, and he thinks it’s possibly why his father was so strict and hard in him, blaming Diavolo for his mothers death.

Barbatos is the royal Butler to Diavolo, being a neat and orderly character, he is known as a the Greatest Pastry Chef, and being very good with tea and being a tea expert, he played a big role in Diavolo’s life, even as a child. Barbatos became Diavolo’s butler after a child Diavolo lured Barbatos into the castle with rare tea leaves, Diavolo saying barbatos couldn’t leave until he agreed to be his butler, Barbatos later said he thought this interaction was adorable. No one knows when Barbatos was born, or how long he’s been around, but he’s been around before the world and Devildom itself. Barbatos would not hesitate to destroy a building over a rat.

The Angels

The angels consist of Simeon and Luke.

Simeon is a very polite and caring Archangel , he is here for the exchange program as a representative for the celestial realm, he doesn’t hate anyone or anything. He is a writer going under the Pen Name Christopher Peugeot. He is a great cook and a mentor for Luke alongside Barbatos.

Luke a young Angel, about 10 in human years, he is the youngest of the group (except for MC he’s been around for centuries maturity wise tho he’s young) he doesn’t like demons especially Lucifer, but really likes Barbatos, being taught by him in baking and being mentored by him. Hes constantly being made fun of by the demon brothers, specifically Lucifer, and Mammon, having the nicknames, “Chihuahua”, “Fido”, and “Dog” making him very irritated whenever he’s called them.

The Sorcerer

There’s only one sorcerer, being Solomon.

Solomon is a representative of the human world, he’s a very powerful sorcerer, having 72 pacts with demons, including Barbatos. Barbatos holds a grudge throughout Obey Me! Nightbringer, which the sorcerer doesn’t even remember why, it is later revealed that Barbatos was upset he was placed 8th on Solomon’s pact list, being petty about it and hating Solomon (Drama queen Barbie). Despite Solomon being a skilled sorcerer and great with potions and mixing ingredients, this does not translate in his cooking abilities, often making his food a biohazard for anyone to consume and a danger for botulism, but he does not realize and thinks his food is fine.

The Human

You are the human, the MC, that little sheep.

You were brought to Devildom as the second human exchange student for the program, your avatar was made a sheep and the game uses they/them pronouns to make the game as inclusive to any player. You are the Main Character.

Anyways that’s what happens when you say you don’t know what my interest is about @blackoutbugza this is the consequences of your words. Thanks for a reason to rant tho:)

the inconsistency of diavolo

I just went through lesson 16 and… god, there's so much inconsistency in Diavolo's characterization in this part of the story, it's like they can't decide how they want him to act regarding the situation.

1 - There's the fact that apparently both he and Barbatos didn't know that Lucifer had Belphegor locked up in the attic, how is it possible that they could hide something like that from both of them when a) Barbatos can see the future and b) It's Diavolo's school, one of the reasons why Lucifer had Belphegor hidden is so that he wouldn't pay the consequences of his actions and pretended that he had sent him to the human world as an exchange student, Diavolo at least from the original timeline wouldn't allow him to be an exchange student after threatening to massacre every single human to stop the exchange program with so much passion, literally allowing it would be too risky and foolish an action.

2- This is not so much an inconsistency but it is a detail of the game and it is that the game tries to put Diavolo as the bad in this situation because Belphegor is one of the dateable characters and part of the seven brothers but it makes complete sense that he tries to put Belphegor in prison because he being free threatens the safety of the player as well as the relationship of Devildoom with the human world.

3 - After we travel to the other timeline, die and revive in the body of the MC from the other timeline, Diavolo arrived and starts talking about how the MC is a descendant of Lilith, this seems rushed and inconsistent due to the fact that they try to make it seem as if Diavolo had known about it all this time and that's why he accepted MC in RAD but in reality it seems like something that Barbatos told him 5 minutes ago and he had no idea about it and suddenly he doesn't care about the fact that Belphegor killed MC even asking Belphegor if he didn't want to hug MC too…☠

These three were also the only three who had half masks in the masquerade event!!!

Anyway, The Royals with Mephisto chat group when? We got one for Purgatory Hall with Raphael..... it's just fair !!

And one for Mephisto and Diavolo as well, but also one for Mephisto and Barbatos too. because you can't tell me their relationship isn't deeper than the devs portray when Mephisto has lines like this about Barbatos's room:

Been thinking about Satan angst again !

A/N: So before I yap about this I wanna clarify I’m only on lesson 44 of og and I don’t rlly know what happens story wise beyond that within og, and I only know the story beyond it within nightbringer since I’ve played a good chunk of it. So if I get some shit wrong story wise that is most likely why 🗣‼️ anyways im Gonna blabber now

I was playing the star event today since it was on lonely devil and the end of the story for it was so deliciously sad but even sadder when recognizing that mc is quite literally gonna be taken to the past soon where he won’t see them for god knows how long.

Satan feeling ashamed for lashing out in front of you towards his brothers to the point he’s hiding in his room and trying to push the mc away despite how they’re genuinely worried for him, telling them “you’re the only one who worries about me, but that worry is misplaced and that no good could possibly come from being with me”. All of that is gnarly but in the event it was resolved luckily however those thoughts obviously linger all the time somewhere within him.

Imagine the mc and him having a long heart to heart talk about each other where he eventually lets that all out to them and more. Mc gives him comfort and stays by his side all throughout the night talking through it with him until they both fall into a nice slumber. But then he wakes up and uh oh! They’re not there !! First he assumes they’re running an errand or doing something else within the house but to his surprise and further despair, no one has seen mc. Nobody knows where they are or what has happened. Then suddenly solomon disappears too.

In his eyes it appeared they left him finally, perhaps finally done with his anger and wrath, perhaps afraid. Those thoughts were nowhere near the truth and he has the memories to back it up, however that’s simply not how emotions work. It doesn’t matter wether or not they were sent back to the past or finally did leave him, because In the end they were still gone. Hell it’s even possible that maybe they decided solomon would be a better fit, which he wouldn’t disagree with. Solomon doesn’t have that shameful wrath after all, solomon wasn’t born from anger and wrath, solomon didn’t lash out at people in destructive ways like he did. As the more time passes without them there, he gets more and more upset. He starts feeling more and more shame and hatred towards himself over his sin.

Oh how he wishes mc were here with him worrying about him again.

All done yapping now, apologies if this sounds like shit or completely non sensical, it is currently 5:50 am as I post this and I have to get ready for work in like 10 minutes with no sleep all night bc of this goofy ass special interest. Aughhhhhh I LOVE SATAN HES SO ANGSTY AND DOOMED X333333

i think i really started to like his character during the lesson where he was venting about his immortality

the one reason OM is like one of my fav gacha games is the insane lore of each character, and solomon just reminds me of how detailed the story is i love it
