Lucifer’s biggest fear, above losing his family, is one day when he’ll die and wake up back in the celestial realm. It’s his biggest fear. And we know he’s being honest because Mammon chastises him for being too serious.
And in NB that’s so close to happening. He and his family are literally being threaten with war and violence if they don’t come back. To the place that they were unhappy, the place that killed their sister for the crime of being in love with a human.
Lucifer’s worst fear is so close to coming to fruition.
He’s being forced to choose to retruamtize his family by forcing them back into fighting in a war or forcing them back to a place that killed their sister, threw them out and would separate them from their newest family members.
This fear is also brought up as specifically being afraid of Father in Lesson 58(?) here

There is this one Episode of Justice League Unlimited titled "Epilogue".
What's happening to Terry (The new batman) is a great comparison to Satan from Obey me.
I'm on the unpopular side of "What is Satan's relationship with Lucifer" Where I see him more as his own brother, rather then Lucifer's "Son"
The episode is about Terry finding out that he is Bruce (The Batman) biological son. And he feels hopeless, because he thinks that he was destined to be batman and he hates it. Cause he feels like he's just Bruce's clone
But Amada Waller gave him a speech about what he is, and that he is Bruce's son.
I can see this theme of the story and make a parallel to Satan's feeling at the matter.
You can view this as either Satan being Lucifer's son, or for me. Satan is completely different from Lucifer. But all the comparison to Lucifer's mannerism, subtle gesture, etc. Makes him feel like whatever he does that he enjoy, he can never shake this feeling that he is just a copy of Lucifer.
What made me lean more on Satan being Lucifer's son is that, in Lesson 58 - 15 you get Intimacy when you choose "You're Lucifer's younger brother"
And that even if he hates being compare to Lucifer, he still like to be seen as one of the brothers.
Not to mention, that there is a differences between a sibling relationship from a father and son relationship.
Lucifer sees Satan as one of his brothers, at the same level as the others, seeing him as his son gives off vibe that Satan is lower than him in the family and he doesn't see that. He acknowledge Satan individuality as a sibling would.
Hope it make sense, cause when I watched the episode years ago, and now someone reviewing it. I can't help to see the struggle of Satan's character in Terry.

LIGHT OF LIFE 493
John 1:4
DIVINE ORDER 58: Law Of The Tree Of Knowledge 6
Gen 2:16-17 But the LORD told him, "You may eat fruit from any tree in the garden, EXCEPT THE ONE THAT HAS THE POWER TO LET YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG. IF YOU EAT ANY FRUIT FROM THAT TREE, YOU WILL DIE BEFORE THE DAY IS OVER!" CEV
ONE LAW 3
The indications of the ONENESS of God’s Divine BOOK OF LAW are quite copiously and elaborately displayed all over scriptures, at least for those who care to LOOK when reading.
This is why it is advisable to read the Word with an open mind rather than to read “the secrets of being successful” or “principles of multiplication”. you will simply get “lost”.
Joh 5:39-40 “You are BUSY ANALYZING THE SCRIPTURES, FRANTICALLY PORING OVER THEM IN HOPES of gaining eternal life. EVERYTHING YOU READ POINTS TO ME, YET YOU STILL REFUSE TO COME TO ME so I can GIVE YOU THE LIFE YOU’RE LOOKING FOR—ETERNAL LIFE! TPT
Everything we read about Patriarchs, the SEED, Branch, Kings, Priests, Prophets and Laws, all Point to Jesus, who is the ONE LAW that ties together all scripture and gives Eternal Life.
Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME. MKJV
Some of us get distracted when we read some scriptures, thinking the “focus” is isolated.
Jos 1:8 BE SURE THAT THE BOOK OF THE LAW IS ALWAYS READ in your worship. STUDY IT DAY AND NIGHT, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. THEN YOU WILL BE PROSPEROUS AND SUCCESSFUL. GNB
Many Christians read that verse and [mostly] want to equate it with Financial & Material wealth, along with good health and long life to “cap” it all.
In the Spiritual stance however, what do you [really] think God counts Prosperity and [good] Success as?
Psa 119:9 HOW CAN A YOUNG MAN STAY PURE? ONLY BY LIVING IN THE WORD of God and walking in its truth. TPT
Now, is PURITY proportional to Prosperity & Success before God?
Think carefully please.
1Pe 3:3-4 DO NOT LET YOUR ORNAMENTS be THOSE OF THE BODY such as dressing of the hair, or putting on of JEWELS OF GOLD OR FAIR CLOTHING; But LET THEM BE those of the UNSEEN MAN OF THE HEART, THE EVER-SHINING ORNAMENT OF A GENTLE AND QUIET SPIRIT, WHICH IS OF GREAT PRICE IN THE EYES OF GOD. BBE
Now, whom would you have resembled with the image of a Gentle and Quiet spirit please?
Mat 11:29 TAKE MY YOKE ON YOU AND LEARN FROM ME, BECAUSE I AM GENTLE AND HUMBLE IN HEART, and you will find rest for your souls. NET
I have just used some cross reference to show you how scriptures start with Jesus and runs all the way back to Him.
Now, WHO does the cleaning of the young man in Ps 119:9?
Eph 5:26-27 TO MAKE US HOLY AND PURE, cleansing us THROUGH THE SHOWERING OF THE PURE WATER OF THE WORD OF GOD. All that he does in us is designed to make us a mature church for his pleasure, until we become a source of praise to him—GLORIOUS AND RADIANT, BEAUTIFUL AND HOLY, WITHOUT FAULT OR FLAW. TPT
Do you know why worldly riches is too minute on the scale of prosperity in God’s eyes?
Rev 21:21 The 12 gates were 12 pearls. EACH GATE WAS MADE OF ONE PEARL. THE STREET OF THE CITY WAS MADE OF PURE GOLD, as clear as glass. GW
You’ve not seen original Gold till you see those in heaven.
That’s why we’re born with nothing and have no need to go back with anything. There’s much more than enough there.
1Ti 6:6-7 DEVOTION TO GOD IS, IN FACT, A WAY FOR PEOPLE TO BE VERY RICH, BUT ONLY IF IT MAKES THEM SATISFIED WITH WHAT THEY HAVE. When we came into the world, WE BROUGHT NOTHING. AND WHEN WE DIE, WE CAN TAKE NOTHING OUT. ERV
So beloved, JESUS is the “One Stop” LAW of Righteousness and the ticket to heaven.
If any of you has an argument over this, I have no other answer but these same scriptures and many more.
I have no “Mentor” but Jesus; He trained me and these are my lessons.
Act 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, THEY CEASED NOT TO TEACH AND PREACH JESUS CHRIST. KJV
That is why the Good News must always be JESUS CHRIST, the Author and finisher of our Faith. He is the LAW, the Obedience and Fulfillment of it.
May our lives tell His story, IN JESUS NAME.
Come back on Monday, as we proceed in digging into this inspiring Subtopic.

Lesson 58 analysis + 59 predictions
I expected this lesson to drop tomorrow! It was a pleasant surprise. Sort of.
tl;dr Summary
When we last left our heroes, they were about to be decked by the bogeyman. We get saved, though! And it scampers off into a nearby room. The lesson is then just each brother tagging along with MC as they enter the room and one by one they get scared off, or do damage to the bogeyman.
Asmo’s greatest fear is just an uglier version of himself, which really does not lend any depth or credibility to the theory that he isn’t entirely self-involved. Belphie is frightened of a particular alarm clock that Satan once got him and possibly the dark (?).
Beelzebub at least gets an illusionary scene change with scary music + animated flame overlay, and his scene involves him accidentally hitting Belphegor with one of his attacks (bogeyman takes the form of Belphegor). The illusion backdrop is the Celestial Realm, so it’s clearly trying to draw a parellel between what is occurring in the illusion and what happened to Lilith.
Satan gets a similar treatment, only it’s a flaming coliseum and he’s being taunted by angel Lucifer about just being a budget Lucifer. Real Lucifer talks him out of it by pointing out their differences, but I found the things he brings up pretty surface level (he likes music while Satan prefers reading, Satan likes cats while he prefers dogs, etc.)
It seems like Satan’s wrath powers are enough to finally vanquish the bogeyman and everyone breathes a sigh of relief… UNTIL IT COMES BACK for one last round. You guessed it: it’s Lucifer’s turn.
A familiar shard of light appears in the corner of the screen, but Simeon seems to react more to it than Lucifer does. Lucifer tells him to calm down and claims it’s his” light (spoiler: it’s not), and effortlessly banishes it once and for all. It’s very anti-climatic… because this isn’t the real climax.
Simeon, however, doesn’t recover right away. Or at all, really. We get interrupted when he’s ready to finally tell us (or later, Lucifer) what’s bothering him, so we’re kept in the dark. We receive our last star and celebrate becoming a full fledged sorcerer.
Only Luke has heard a rumor about a three-headed wolf prowling around that he informs us of via text. Guess what’s going to be the real climax?
EDIT: @obey-mes-treasure has a better explanation about Lucy's and Belphie's fears in the comments.
Analysis
Luke’s power
If we needed any confirmation that Luke has great potential, we got it in this lesson. The bogeyman’s powers don’t affect us because Luke’s blessing is still in effect and protecting us. He may be a smol angel, but his power rivals many of the high-ranking angels already. It explains why Michael has taken an interest in him, probably, but you’d think an angel like him would have been ranked already… unless Michael is deliberately refusing to rank him for some reason. Maybe he doesn’t want to train more archangels/soldiers given the three realms seem to be moving towards peace?
It does put Mammon mocking him by suggesting one day he could be a seraphim earlier in the season in a different light, though. Michael might be grooming him to be his heir, or something akin to that. It also explains why he didn’t worry about sending Luke into the Devildom in the first place, in spite of his youth. The kid could handle himself even if he isn’t aware of it.
Figure in the light
Lucifer and Simeon fear the same thing, but Lucifer handled facing whoever it was much better. I think this is probably daddy. The reason why Lucifer was capable of withstanding it is because he was preparing for his stand-off with their father for centuries before he finally rebelled, is my guess.
It could be Michael, but I expect Simeon interacts with him frequently, and he’s already made it pretty clear that he has a cavalier attitude about angering the guy in Season 2. Simeon could fear having to watch Michael and Lucifer fight again, though, if all three of them were close before the Great Celestial War. Can’t imagine that was a fun time for him.
But, if how the Celestial Realm as a whole functions is any indicator, all three of them probably fear Father the most. That fear kept them in line until it didn’t.
This also lends some credibility to the “empty throne” theory that posits Father has been absent for a prolonged period of time for some reason, if it is him.
This is the second time this season that Simeon has expressed these sort of doubts. I think someone is suffering from insecurities and regrets more and more these days, and it seems like associations with the Celestial Realm trigger them. I doubt he’s going to fall – like I’ve said before, he actually seems to enjoy partaking in the standard angel duties – but it is noteworthy. He might have a complicated relationship with Father, too.
The three-headed wolf
This is going to be the actual climax, which is kind of dumb considering it literally was introduced this lesson. Just dropped in there.
I don’t think Cerberus is a wolf, though? He looked more like a hound in his art. Looking up “three headed wolf” on Google gets you Cerberus, though.
Predictions
We’re going to deal with the wolf thing next lesson and then have a rushed season ending or end it on a cliffhanger. It’s going to make a mess of things and we’ll have to tame it, and/or a certain SOMEONE in the Celestial Realm will need to step in to keep collateral damage to a minimum. Still confident he’s showing up in some capacity.
HOPEFULLY we’ll finally get confirmation about the identity of the celestial light person that the bogeyman tried to emulate. But we don’t get that closure in this lesson.
Not sure if this is going exceed Season 1 or Season 2’s quality, though. The ring of light suddenly being introduced at least gave us more insight into Simeon’s character and the telepathic conversation with Michael. Suddenly introducing a new beastie to fight in the second to last lesson of the season seems way too heavy-handed, and I’m not sure it’s at all related to whatever Michael’s plot is.
I guess we’re saving the answer to that question for season 4?

Spoiler from lesson 58 below, you have been warned
This lesson sure was a ride, holy guacamole, and when you think the freaking boogeyman is done for it appears again to strike back like some bad allergies. The MC is with Lucifer and Simeon, Simeon is trembling at the sight of the "light" while Lucifer admits this is his fear before facing it.
Lucifer is able to finally destroy the boogeyman (and the music when he does is dope as heck) and at last there's peace in Corvo's hotel. Mc is left with Simeon, If you ask what the light is he replies "Not what,Who" before the scene ends, the next book Simeon says the "light" was a sight he hasn't seem in a long time.
My guess, note this is just a guess and a personal opinion, is the light we saw is their Father. It can't be Michael because Simeon had interacted with him before and some of his devilgrams Michael is mentioned.

WHAT ARE THE BROTHERS FEARS,, and how is ur theory being confirmed
‼️SPOILERS FOR LESSON 58 ‼️
Okokokokk Ammons and Levi's are both Lucifer in his demon form, and they don't go much more into it than that.
Asmo's is seeing himself ugly, he gets very upset when facing it, even if you distract him with a mirror.
Belphies goes all black, and he can't see or find any of his brothers, no one can see or hear him. I'm pretty sure his has to do with how he felt locked up in the attic. It hits him hard because he wasn't expecting this to happen, he thought it would be an alarm clock.
Beel then goes to fight the boogeyman because it upset Belphie so much, and when he's about to use his power, it turns to Belphie in his angel form with the Celestial Realm burning behind him, and Beels power hits Belphie. Beel is devastated, and yelling out even though you try to comfort him, he begs you not to leave him too, but then all his brothers rush in to try and help since they can hear how distraught he is.
This brings about Satan's, who sees Angel Lucifer, who tells Satan that he's just a sad copy of himself and that he can't possibly be his own person, that he'll always be Lucifer's lesser shadow. Real Lucifer pulls him out of that one, telling Satan all the ways they are different and that he's his own person. Satan is then able to beat the Boogeyman.
As the brothers leave, your left with Lucifer and Simeon (and Solomon? I think) and the boogeyman tries to make one last attempt. You just see a beam of light, and Lucifer says this one is "his" even though Simeon is visibly upset. Lucifer quickly banishes it away along with your power. Even after Lucifer leaves, Simeon is left shaking and very upset. He tries to tell you something but is cut off by people calling for you.
Later at a celebration party, you overhear Lucifer and Simeon talking outside, about a figure that appeared that they never expected to see again. I assume is their father? But Simeon says it was really his fear that was seen.
SO in my theory about Simeon feeling exactly how Lucifer felt before he fell, this makes it make much more sense. They both greatly fear their father, or something from the Celestial Realm. Someone about to tell you something important and is cut off. And he says this:
He's doubting himself, the Celestial Realm, his whole way of thinking. I'm super curious to see how the last two lessons play out!!

(Spoilers for lesson 58 and 16. Read at your own risk)
Usually Obey Me likes to keep things pretty light hearted. Even when Belphie killed us nothing got too angsty. Sometimes this really annoys me, while other times I like that it's not too serious.
Yeah, that all goes out the window at lesson 58. The devs knew they could make me cry and they did. They knew they must have some power over me if I made it all the way to the end of season three and they used it. They have wounded me. Ripped out my heart. I may never recover. I want to pull Satan, Belphie and Beel into a group hug and sob.

Lesson 58 SPOILERS
LET’S GOOOOOOO!
Heyo, I didn’t post lesson 57 so if you need a refresher or don’t know what happened in 57, here’s a quick summary:
Barb calls up you and the brothers to help deal with a situation at the hotel. What is this problem you ask? Turns out there’s an “evil spirit” there. How? Turns out it was Mammon and Levi who....accidentally summoned it and accidentally sent it to the hotel. So now everyone has to deal with it. The evil spirit is the boogeyman which takes shape/form of your worst fears.
And now lesson 58! (I was not expecting to be HURT today)(Also long post ahead!)
_
Solomon using any chance he can get to exploit the brothers 😂
ASMO-😂😂😂
Belphie’s fear (I would be afraid of this too tbh)
oh?
*insert surprise face*
My son is gonna grow up to be someone amazing as he should 😭😭
And now you have to choose someone to go into the room with you to get rid of the spirit. You make eye contact with Asmo first so he is chosen.
Asmo we literally just entered the room
IT’S HERE!
ASMO PLS-
oh my gosh help him😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
HE’S CRYINGGGGG (AND SO AM I)
Yuh....
Next attempt: you make eye contact with Belphie next so he is chosen. He’s reluctant at first but gives in after some teasing from Mammon.
It starts off with the alarm clock (which he mentioned earlier) so you think that’s it. Easy. But then it goes dark:
PLEASE?! WHY?! POOR BELPHIE!!!!!! *UGLY SOBBING*
Beel’s turn! He volunteers because he’s gonna kick some evil spirit ass for messing with his twin!
(He mentions earlier he isn’t sure what he’s afraid of, but that Asmo and Satan are scary when they’re angry)
You harness his power and he bout to throw hands (or magic) with this boogeyman
BUT THEN WE GIT HIT WITH THIS SHIT
Y’ALL.....Y’ALL.....Y’AALLLLLLLLL WTF OBEY ME YA’LL REALLY GONNA MAKE ME CRY ON A GODDAMN WEDNESDAY?!
They all rushed in to help Beel 😭😭😭even though Mammon and Levi’s eyes are closed...😭😭😭
Satan’s like, I’m not afraid of anything I’m gonna take you down evil spirit then boom:
nnot....
Satan destroys it.
Yes THAT THING CAN’T HURT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE ANYMORE 😭
and they go after Mammon and Levi for causing trouble. Leaving you, Luci, and Simeon in the room.
?!
IT’S BACK
G-GOD?!
YES GET EM ZADDY!
ahhh finally we can get over all these test that have caused more than enough trouble
After Luci leaves, Simeon seems a bit off
😭😭😭😭😭
You comfort Simeon by embracing him
PLEAAAAAAAASEEEE LET HIM FINSIH HIS SENTENCE!
We are now full fledged sorcerers! Everyone better watch out!
_
Side story:
who?! God?! Michael?! SOMEONE ELSE?! AJLASKDLADFS!
So if it WAS showing Simeon’s fear and it was God (assuming), their Father and Creator, why would He Simeon’s greatest fear?
_
Thoughts:
Well with only 2 lessons left and with MC now being a sorcerer, the only thing left is to find out who Simeon has been talking to secretly. I feel like there might be a big reveal in the upcoming lessons. Or Simeon will play a big part to the end of this season. But I just might be overthinking it. With the end of the season being so close, I wonder if we’ll have to say goodbye to the brothers again. Of course, MC can summon them now (just gotta learn summoning magic), I’m thinking......routes? HA! With Obey Me! anything is possible....seriously we never know, the obey me team might make it work somehow. I’m okay with or without it.

Lesson 57 analysis + 58 predictions
It's less exciting than anticipated, probably.
tl;dr Summary
We start asleep, but overhearing Satan + Belphegor plotting to prank us. You can choose how to surprise and foil them. They're just here to tell you breakfast is ready. Belphegor finally rewards you with the star of diligence: MC is one star away from completing the exam and earning their sorcerer's license.
Lucifer is eager to make MC a full-fledged sorcerer because he could use them to ward off Solomon's advances, which apparently he's still making. Asmo tells us that Solomon is very picky, and driven, when he's choosing who to pact with.
And he's apparently very adamant about getting Lucifer.
The others note that Mammon and Leviathan are acting unusual, and they clearly are very distracted. We decide to ignore the strangeness for now and answer Barbatos's summons to Hotel Corvo.
And guess who is also being summoned!
We arrive, and Diavolo informs us that there's an evil phantom now haunting the hotel. Not just any ol' phantom, though: a bogeyman.
Apparently they're pretty tough and might have the upperhand against demons. They take the form of what their victims' fear most. They put several hotel guests in the hospital.
We find out that the reason why Mammon and Leviathan are being so weird is because they know they're responsible for the bogeyman being in Hotel Corvo: they went wild with Crowe upgrades and summoned it accidentally, then ordered Crowe to teleport it to Hotel Corvo after it transformed into Lucifer and scared them out of their wits.
Obviously, Lucifer's not happy! Barbatos assigns him to "fix" the problem. The brothers want to leave Mammon and Leviathan to do it on their own, but of course we can't have that.
Diavolo also seems keen on joining, but Barbatos turns on the scary fake smile and Diavolo relents.
Then the others show up! It sounds like it wasn't a planned get-together, but Solomon is eager to make the best of it. He wants to make our quest to banish the bogeyman MC's final trial.
Simeon is initially reluctant, but MC convinces him to join.
And then we're off down a creepy hallway in the hotel. The lesson ends on a cliffhanger as the creature at the end of the hallway suddenly attacks us.
Don't worry, Lucy will save us, probably.
This is the start of the trial of humility.
Analysis
Barbatos's Plan
Probably the most noteworthy thing about this lesson is how clearly Barbatos is setting all this up, even though he has no visibly obvious motivation to do so. He's summoned everyone to the same location under different auspices and he's making sure Diavolo isn't around. We still didn't get any insight on what he and Lucifer talked about, but I think Lucifer's being deliberately steered by him in this direction, too.
Since this doesn't seem to be something he's coordinating with Solomon, it leads me to believe he's either doing something to foil Michael's plan or he's setting up some kind of trap for the guy. For whatever reason, he doesn't want anyone else to catch on just yet.
Simeon's reluctance to stick around and help us is also noteworthy: he probably has Michael plans on the brain, and his intuition is probably trying to warn him. Alas, he can't say no to you.
Also, the BG being a bunch of doors and keys probably means something. Barbatos's room has multiple doors which lead to multiple places, I think: can't remember if they're just portals to different parts of the three realms or different points in time, but if I was a betting gal, I'd put my money on the latter. It doesn't look like his room (it looks like an old hotel), but I wouldn't be surprised if these doors lead to "flashbacks" similar to the ones we ran into back in the fake House of Lamentation.
The Bogeyman and Lucy's fears
It's implied that the bogeyman has powers that may make it difficult for demons in particular to cull. It sounds something an angel might be effective against, though, because Solomon insists Simeon accompany the group just in case "things go south". Though Simeon seems unsure if he can actually be effective against it.
Who do you think is stronger than Simeon, who is an archangel who was once a seraphim? He could just be downplaying his power, too: he's less threatening that way.
The bogeyman also has the ability to take the form of whoever or whatever his victim fears the most: we discover that Mammon and Leviathan fear Lucifer the most when they initially summon it.
This trial is 100% going to involve Lucifer facing what he fears the most. My guesses: it'll be either Father or Michael. They can do the former if MC doesn't necessarily see the same form Lucifer sees (they likely fear something different)... but if whatever form the bogeyman takes is noticeable to everyone observing it, then it's going to be Michael because I don't think the devs are going to give God a tangible form for reasons.
Why Lucifer could fear Michael? Simple: not only was Michael the one capable of bringing him low during the Great Celestial War, but he may know Lucifer better than anyone. All his strengths, but more importantly, all his weaknesses. Lucifer fears being exposed as flawed and imperfect, particularly by those he considers his lessers. It's also not the first time he's expressed something akin to fear re: Michael.
Another possibility is Lilith. He could fear facing her after failed to protect her. That'd be difficult to manage on-screen, though, for obvious reasons. They haven't given Lilith a canon appearance yet and it's in their best interest not to because they've been using MC as the Lilith expy in the Celestial Realm flashbacks.
Whoever or whatever it is, it'll be fun.
Solomon and his pacts
Another thing this lesson did was remind us that Solomon really, really wants a pact with Lucifer. We found out a couple lessons ago that his whole motivation behind forging a pact with Asmo was his interest in Lucifer.
Up until this point, Solomon has been pretty upfront with his desires and usually backs down when they deny his request to make a pact. He asked Belphegor back in Season 1, and he hasn't brought it up again after he was rejected.
This doesn't seem to be the case with Lucifer, though. His rejections have been ignored.
He's being unusually cavalier about this whole situation so maybe he would try to manipulate the current situation to wring a pact out of Lucifer, since he hasn't been deterred yet and something needs to change in order for him to get what he wants.
I don't know. Lucifer might be his blind spot, and something he wants badly enough to step over the line, so to speak. Why he wants Lucifer so bad is another head scratcher, but it could very well be because just because the guy is incredibly powerful.
Or this is just another red herring meant to make us suspicious of Solomon again. I guess we'll see.
Predictions
We have only three lessons left, and they set this lesson up as the lead into the climax, which is going to be later than where it was in season 2. But it can't afford to happen much later. 58 will give us the first half of the climax at least, and I won't be surprised if it wraps it up entirely in one lesson so we can have both 59 and 60 to say our goodbyes. It'll feel pretty rushed otherwise.
Michael's showing up in some capacity. I'm much more willing to bet on a face reveal now than I was at the beginning of the season: we haven't heard anything from him directly since the first flashback -- not even another chat -- and he hasn't even officially introduced himself yet. But we've been hearing all about him this season, and they've made it a point to let us know he's working on something behind the scenes. It feels like most of this season was softening the ground for his arrival, and he'll drop in to get us hyped for the next season.
I think we're headed back to the Celestial Realm, baby!
Luke's not with us at the haunted hotel, so he'll likely remain oblivious about what happened during the Great Celestial War until next season. Simeon's not gonna fall because he'll probably need to be our tour guide, and we have a bunch to explore about his background, too.
I was hoping we'd get some kind of conflict with the Sorcerer's Society as a part of the completion of the exam but I'm not sure if they can fit all that in now. Kind of disappointing: trying to smooth things over with them sounds much more interesting than Mammon + Levi just letting out a literal boogeyman. I don't think they're using their story themes as effectively as they could be. It's just Levi's tech going awry again, like it always does.
How I'll rate this season will depend entirely on what the climax actually turns out to be, but so far I'd rank it higher than season 2 but lower than season 1 because of the re-used tropes. Stop teasing us and just give us meaty conflict already.
