◆ despite everything that makes lucifer what he is, it means little in the grand scheme. both power and pride are useless in the wake of your sudden disappearance. ◇ his fuse seemed short, but now it feels even shorter. horribly, and painfully shorter, but despite that, he is taking more care to check on his brothers if he is acting like this then he can only imagine how his brothers are handling it. ◆ it won't stop. he can't stop the pain of his pact mark. as if it had been ripped clean off your person like a band-aid. it hurts like it should, the painful reminder of your existence, and your warmth are gone for the moment. he waits for you, for someone who may never walk through those doors again, but he waits.

↳ Mammon

◆ the first to feel it and the one who hurts the most. the one who grabs at himself where the placement of his pact mark is on your person just trying to feel something in the sudden wake of the void left behind. ◇ if he isn't out looking for you then mammon can be found in your room either curled up in your bed d.d.d in hand while he tries to contact you somehow. ◆ it hurts. horribly, painfully and mammon wails. the void that digs into his being and grows a little bigger with each day, he cannot find you. with each empty brush of your bond that isn't answered back is soul-crushing. each day is another call he makes to hear your voice, each day he asks, voice broken where are you?

↳ Leviathan

◆ the burning pain was enough to wake him up. leviathan couldn't breathe, and he couldn't think. so he panicked, grabbing his d.d.d and calling the first person on his list while he tried to calm himself down. ◇ leviathan couldn't tell who it was who did come in to help him, but when they did he just clings to them. comfort, warmth, family, here and alive. all the things he couldn't feel from you. whoever came held him even tighter while he blubbered from too many emotions and fear. ◆ when it gets to be too much the loss of the pact mark and just feeling you just brush back when he needed it the most. it seeps into his bones, leviathan feels cold and lost like he's somehow fallen once again. he does what helps him feel the safest-- hides away.

↳ Satan

◆ it almost feels like he is being skinned alive, with how you are torn away from him. with the pact missing, you're no longer just a touch away to be felt-- he feels wrath like he hasn't since he was born. ◇ his wrath is quiet, it is carefully moving beneath his skin. satan sees how each of his brothers slowly one by one seeks out one another. your loss is felt by each one of them, a void that none of them can feel you through. ◆ some days are harder than others, and satan feels the small spot inside of him that held you so close to his heart just-- close itself off to not feel hurt, but sometimes when he swears that he could feel the tug of you calling for him.

↳ Asmodeus

◆ watching the mirror break right before him, followed by how his soul feels as if it's being torn apart. the pact he shares with you feels so, so faint he fears the worst. ◇ the worst being that you died. alone, away from him, away from everyone who loves you, but-- he can sometimes feel your warmth when he reaches out. ◆ as comforting as that should be faint warmth and whispers of you still being alive are cold comfort. even if he can just barely feel you... he wouldn't be able to help you wherever you may be.

↳ Beelzebub

◆ beelzebub drops everything and moves. transformed, and in pain, he runs home, he looks, and he looks, but he cannot find you. his whole self hurts, his heart most of all. another, another person he loves is-- no. no just because he couldn't feel you didn't mean that you were dead. ◇ the world around him seems to move so slowly, but he eventually stumbles to the planetarium to find belphegor curled in on himself, and the moment belphie says that he can't feel you. that you're just... gone beelzebub breaks down with him. ◆ beelzebub can't sleep, but belphie tries to help him. nothing tastes right, nothing looks right when he eats and his brothers worry even more. nobody knows what's going on-- nobody can find you and beelzebub blames himself for not being able to keep you safe. his brothers say differently they all failed, but... none of them has failed to keep a loved one safe as he had.

↳ Belphegor

◆ belphegor wishes that he was asleep when he felt it because it would have hurt less in a dream (or so he thinks). to be awake, to be gazing at the stars to watch one suddenly blink out of existence followed by pain-- it was excruciating. ◇ just like the star, you had vanished, taking a piece of belphegor with you. and when beel stumbles into belphegor's sight... he crumbles. the two of them breaking down together. ◆ even when belphegor sleeps he doesn't feel at peace, but some nights... he can see you or he thinks he might. the dreams are always fuzzy, but in those dreams, it feels like you're right there with him. that somehow you're safe even if none of them can find you, much less feel the bond each pact has made with you.

Thinking about Gabriel from s1 and how he wasn't necessarily a bad guy... like kind of a dumb jock of an angel but not a bad guy really. Of course I didn't like him bc I thought he was mean to Azi but tbh he wasn't? Like he trusted Aziraphale to tell him the truth, why would he ever expect him to lie, he was a fellow angel. Then the photos of him and Crowley come out and I don't think he was mad so much as betrayed? And that's why he said what he said "Shut your stupid mouth and Die." Because he felt hurt and betrayed and obviously Heaven doesn't teach their angel how to process emotions, they're just expected to obey without question.

And then in s2 he starts meeting with Beezelbub regularly and They gift him the fly and well no one has ever given him anything before and that's when I think it clicks for him as to why Aziraphale acts the way he does with Crowley. That's why when his memory is wiped he heads straight to Azi's bookshop. He knew that if anyone could help him and understand it was him.

At first I thought the comment where Gabriel tells Azi he loves him was so off the cuff, but it wasn't. He genuinely loved him like a brother. Even in the Job minisode where Michael keeps trying to cast doubt about whether the children were new or not, but Gabriel only asks Azi for confirmation. The moment Azi gives him his word, Gabriel is just like yep I believe him. Nothing Michael could say would make him think any differently. Gabriel really did love Aziraphale and trust him. So he was really hurt, how could he betray him like that?

Don't get me wrong, Aziraphale is my favorite character so I was very upset when he said "Shut your stupid mouth and die already " but like in a way, I get it... idk just randoms thoughts.

I was bored so here are my headcanons for the sinblings eyes when they’re in demon form.

Notes of interest

Lucifer and Satan share a star shaped pupil, Satan hates this

Lucifer has the Most subtle bags under his eyes, he uses concealer.

Mammon and Levi have the best night vision out of the brothers, and their pupils dilate the largest.

Asmo and Beel lack pupils, the iris of their eyes are closer in construct to insects than mammals, they can see So Many colours.

Belphie has rectangular pupils, despite being a nightowl his eyes aren’t the best suited for it, much better used to peek at people trying to sneak up on him during nap time.

↳ Lucifer

out of his brothers, Lucifer is the most subtle in how he goes about placing his scent on you.

Lucifer's scent on you is always light, but it clings to your clothes when he stops you. something being out of place is what he tells you.

it doesn't happen often, so when Lucifer stops you to adjust your collar, and when he is sure that your jacket is sitting squarely on your shoulders.

sometimes it takes a moment, but once he is pleased that everything is perfect he sends you away with a gentle pat.

he's scent is also subtly weaved its way into his brother's natural scents-- it soothes Lucifer.

his scent is the easiest to pick up by other lower-level demons. even with his brother's scents clinging to you. a silent, but clear warning to not touch you.

↳ Mammon

Mammon's scent seems to be a part of your person at this point. others call him bold with how he scents you, but the two of you are just together often enough for this to happen.

Mammon hardly has to scent you in front of someone or find an excuse to do so. he's in your space so often that his scent is just a permanent residence.

having his scent on you is comforting to Mammon. when he throws his arm over your shoulder or pulls you in for a hug to find how nicely his scent mingles with yours and makes his brain happy.

his scent is like a body spray that clings to your clothes. it's enough to steer anyone wanting to cause a problem.

↳ Leviathan

Leviathan isn't one to consider himself bold enough to just outrightly scent you, but it's an action that helps to soothe his nerves if he's not having a good day.

so whenever he either notices that he's doing this or his brothers point it out Leviathan becomes a cute little mess over it. because he's not trying to claim your person as his own, it just happens!!! he swears!!!

his envy will only play a part in scenting when his own scent is too faint or if someone dared to try and rub their scent over his own. others often forget how powerful he is, and if his scent isn't enough of a reminder then the one who was so bold needs a reminder.

his scent is like holding hands, soothing in its own way and a reminder that you are someone he sees as important in his life.

↳ Satan

tries to be the most sneaky about scenting you, almost like Lucifer, but in his own special way that wouldn't raise any eyebrows or questions if you truly asked what he was doing.

Satan is always careful about scenting you, but sometimes he slips up and just simply allows himself to truly scent you properly rather than being sneaky.

an action that always makes you smile, and sometimes giggle which makes Satan simply lean more into scenting you. losing himself momentarily at the sound and sight of your joy.

he can get snippy whenever anyone points it out, especially Lucifer, but he will often deny it despite how he will rub his wrist against yours all while doing so.

Satan's scent is similar to his books. ancient, comforting, and powerful a clear warning to those, not his brothers or those close to Satan outside of his family with the clear message being to stay away from you.

↳ Asmodeus

is the least subtle about scenting you, but if his closeness should ever truly bothers you he will stop. even if he truly wants to finish scenting you properly.

Asmodeus scents you because he really and truly adores you. his family's special person. Asmodeus scents you because he sees you as a part of their family, even if he hasn't had a chance to paint your nails to truly make it official.

if his scent is pointed out by his brothers he isn't ashamed of it. he just smiles, all cute and happy when he says that it makes you smell like he's welcoming you into their family. no one says anything, the feeling is mutual.

his scent reminds others of his baths, fragrant, but a scent that clings to one's skin. a clear warning to stay away from how it clings to your skin.

↳ Beelzebub

Beelzebub's scent sticks to you from his clothes. you are absolutely swimming in his clothes which tickles a part of his brain just right that he just can't help, but pick you up and nuzzle his face in your hair.

Beelzebub is unaware of how his scent has subtly been clinging to your person until he is laying in bed with you during movie nights with you, Mammon, and Levi. his scent seems to be just as strong in your bed as Mammon's scent is.

you sit there wrapped in his jacket, leaning against Mammon whose chin is resting on your head, Levi's tail wrapped around your leg, while you card your hand through his hair and with your free hand hold onto his.

seeing you wrapped up in his clothes and his scent mingling with your own and his brother's is so comforting. Beel cannot resist just trying to push himself closer to you. which he does, and Mammon makes a fuss but just grumbles with Beelzebub pulling the two of you into a hug.

his scent is very much like the hugs he pulls you into. comforting there and if you should ever need it willingly given.

↳ Belphegor

Belphegor seems to subconsciously scent you when the two of you either sleep together or doze off with one another. even if it's just his head on your lap or shoulder.

Beelzebub is actually the one to bring it up since his scent clings heavily to your person. despite how Belphegor will deny it, saying that he doesn't have a reason to scent you while Beel just smiles at him.

is honestly the most startled to realize that he's been scenting you. the two of you did not start your true relationship on the best foot or the best impression of his character.

not after what he did, but... he still scented you. he shouldn't scent you, but he does it feels wrong to not do it even after trying to actively avoid doing it. Belphegor feels like he can't relax, that he can't sleep unless he lets himself have this one little selfish, greedy thing to feel at ease. once he stops fighting it his own body is able to feel settled once more.

it is comforting. to have his scent on you and even more to smell how his brother's scents mingle on your person. helps him to sleep much easier, knowing that you are safe and knowing his brother's scents are mixed with his own make this doubly so.

his scent is like a warm blanket, comforting and present. a reminder that you are safe with him, and a reminder to others that he won't show those who aim to harm you mercy.

Beelzebub headcanons:

+ He's actually really great at cooking?!? If Beezelbub is the one assigned to cook that day, you can expect buffet-style, tasty comfort food and jumbo-sized desserts.

+ That also means he pretty much empties the refrigerator and pantry that day. Fortunately, Lucifer has already predicted this and new groceries are delivered the very next day.

+ This also means that they only restock after Beezelbub cooks that week, so most of the food is not super fresh. He's expected to use everything up because the food will end up being spoiled soon anyway. This is especially true for fruits/veggies that spoil fast: romaine lettuce, strawberries, blueberries, etc.

+ Expect expert knife skills in the kitchen. Can chop and dice as efficiently, uniformly as any chef. He's the one who keeps all the knives in the kitchen drawer sharpened. A sharp knife helps prevent injuries because it cuts more precisely and quickly, giving it less chance for it to slip and cut your hand. Beelz learned the perfect technique for holding, sharpening, and using a knife centuries ago.

+ Beelz has a discerning taste of smell and taste. With one sniff he can accurately guess which dish it is and who probably made it. And with one bite, he can list almost all the ingredients that were used to make it.

+ He has his own binder filled with his favorite recipes.

+ He has a food blog where he takes a photo of the food he ate in a restaurant before he eats it and gives a general review of the restaurant and the dish in question. He doesnt post very often and he doesnt connect his real life identity with the blog but its actually super popular in the demon community. Its partly due to his great reviews, but also because of his personality. He comes across as unintentionally funny/witty.

+ Sometimes he blogs about school and his comments of how Luke smelled like cake and his ruminations on how he'll taste has caused Luke to suddenly become extraordinarily popular with demons even though he dislikes them so much.

+ He has a hate and love relationship with cooking shows or shows with chef making food because he tends to feel infinite times hungrier after watching all that delicious food on tv and he starts getting intense cravings for a specific dish in particular, which is hard to satisfy when Lucifer has banned him from the kitchen and his money is finite.

+ This love/hate relationship transfers to all media consumption that talks about food, so while he indulges in learning to cook or looking at cooking shows on occasion he does at the same time try to avoid doing so. Its a guilty pleasure/habit thing.

+ If you want to watch a movie with him he prefers action films or hero movies. it distracts him from food.

+ He likes watching people fight in action films, and uses it an inspiration for when he works out

+ People usually expect him to be dumb when he fights, all brawn and no brain, but he's actually very strategic and practical when he fights. His movements in battle are calculated for perfect form, maximum efficiency, dexterity, and power. If he's enraged and in demon form, he may not be as calculated but he still is no rampaging bull (unless he truly and utterly lost it) and can strategize surprisingly well.

+ He enjoys working out and spends a lot of refining his battling style or learning new fighting techniques. He's overall the type of person who likes physical activities and hands-on tasks over conceptual information.

+ He has a particular fascination for the color of the sky because of Belphegor's hobby of stargazing and cloud-watching. Unlike Belphegor, he prefers the moments of sunrise or sunset, or when the sky is filled with a mix of pinks and oranges. Belphegor noted his preferences and photograped the sky in his preferred states, made paintings of them, and later gave it to him as a gift. Beelz love it so much that Belphegor ended up designing Beelzebub's part of the room to have a sunny/sunrise/sunset motif to reflect that and Belphegor later designed his own part of the room like the night sky. Beelz still to this day finds Belphegor's gift the best one he ever received and he was determined to keep his room designed the same way since then despite his other brothers prodding him to change it. Likewise, so did Belphegor, although he outwardly insisted that he just liked this design best. Needless to say, both Belphegor and Beezelbub refused Lucifer's offer of having their own room.
