If we saw them as kids, having a longer true friendship, it would make Tharn’s attitude a little bit more sympathetic and forgiving.

For Him (Thurs iQIYI) ep 5 of 10 - I like this show, but it’s awfully one-sided in the romance arena. I mean shouldn’t they be trying to support and make each other happy? Why does it always have to come from Him? Also, I’m constantly worried about the fact that Nail doesn’t eat any vegetables. His digestive track must be in serious distress. And if the boy is a bottom?! Look I have concerns is all I'm saying, I hope he's getting his fiber along with the dk. Meanwhile... Mom confrontation! Always fun.  

Twins the series (Fri GaGa) ep 9 of 10 - Now I’m having a hard time keeping the twins straight. Who’s getting beat up for whom, what’s going on? No matter who, First caught himself a live one. I like those bits.

Pit Babe (Fri iQIYI) ep 7 of 14 - I got little crumbs of my sides but not enough, and then they dropped the mpreg bomb. Kinda like blowing the BL diaper. Trash watch happening here.

Cooking Crush (Sun YT) ep 5 of 12 - They are so cute. And mostly such good communicators. Except evil dad is evil! I didn’t have OffGun tango on my bingo card, but I'm happy to check it off. Bake Me Please (Mon Gaga) ep 6fin - I don’t know, I feel like this just wasn’t good enough for the class of talent involved. Which means it’s mostly the story and script's fault. In the end I kinda just wanted Guy to get the guy.

In cluclusion:

A lack-luster story about a group of bakers coping with (mostly) a shoddy script that could not be saved by either the beauty nor the talent of the actors involved. It suffered for lack of narrative backbone and so did I. 6/10

Middleman’s Love (Fri YT & iQIYI ep 8fin - Mai is an adorable clingy boyfriend, and that bit was kind of cute.

Summation:

Office clown, Jade, a manic pixie dream dork, is courted by the new intern, Mai. This show is right in my wheelhouse but it fell flat for me. I wish it had lived up to the concept behind the title (if nothing else). If we had done more of Jade‘s family and the reasons behind his self-worth struggles and self-acceptance issues, they might have been easier to bare. Without backstory, the show had no through line. In the end, Jade was a largely intolerable character, and Mai felt flat and lacking in personality. I was disappointed with this show, and I hope they don't blame the pair for the poor ratings. 6/10

My Universe (Sun iQIYI) 1626 ep 19 of 24 - Meh. So dull.

Now I made a post about him a few months ago, and I noticed It felt bit lack luster with him. Although there was an instant comfort that I hardly feel with everyone else, I wasn't completely enticed, compared to what I'm used to (with 8th house synastry). I was intrigued a bit because objectively he is beautiful, and for someone who struggles with emotional intimacy, vulnerability, I self sabotage as if it's my second nature, so with it came times where when I was with him I didn't allow myself to feel deeply or to feel something for him (as much as I am a able too) so with that brought in feelings where I told myself I didn't like him or that he didn't ignite enough passion in me.

I saw him in May which was a few months ago and I was with him for the weekend and everything felt easy, but I wasn't incredibly enthralled, and with him and without him I felt whole and there wasn't any voids that he healed. (but that's because I subconsciously blocked myself from allowing him too)

After hanging out with one another, sharing dating behavior attitudes, hand holding etc, he just disappeared out of thin air, and I didn't think twice of it. And honestly because of our synastry I already knew I was going to run into him some way or another.

Anyway, a few days ago the same hour Venus goes into retrograde (he has a natal Venus retrograde) he called me and we made plans to hangout the following day. Prior to this I was nervous and scared because I don't normally see or hangout with anyone, but we met up at a party and we were casually just hanging out, he brought his friends and I was with mine. Feeling comfortable in my own skin, with no worry is something I am not used too, so for him to create that in me is what's getting me.

A part of me knows I knew him from a previous life, and because of my broken attachment style, having this comfort with another person isn't something I normally get to hold onto.

Since I am still learning to let myself feel, these emotions that persevere comes in waves. I thought to myself that I wouldn't mind seeing him again, but that's the part of me that craves for peace and serenity talking, and now writing this post, the other part of me that hides and suppress any unsolicited needs for another is creating myself to feel nothing towards him.

(It's been another day since writing this and I no longer have that dire need for him because my brain is telling myself it's safer for me to not truly care yet and whether I want too or not, my brain just does this. I can still turn these feelings off in some shape or form and I still feel fear with going on a date or seeing him again but I also know, that once i'm next to him i'll just feel this ease I wish I was able to hold onto on my own.

What 4th House Synastry Feels Like

Everything feels so easy, with them you'll feel somehow secure, somehow safe. You naturally know how to respond to them, a look from them makes you feel comfort, you two share the same humor (with other soft mercury-moon/sun aspects), everything feels like it's already happened before, and with that feeling they unlock a part of you that you're afraid to show others.

When you're next to them, you're no longer worried about how others perceive you, nor are you overthinking the conversations between the two of you. It's different with 8th house synastry because although with the 8th house their touch unlocks that dire need of being emotionally vulnerable towards another, the 4th house unlocks a part of your character that you naturally hide or the part of you that you overthink when you're with strangers.

When they're next to you, nothing can feel bad, you don't fixate on any issues, you can just allow yourself to feel safe, and at ease. They bring you a sense of security you didn't know was possible, you want to hold onto them, be next to them, and you can't help but smile, can't help but be open, optimistic, and can't help but be unafraid to take on any task you can ever think of (especially if there are more Jupiter synastry aspects between you two).

Any anxiety somehow vanishes, you're not worried, you can't feel worry, you're not second guessing anything, and you don't have these wavering thoughts, and there's no what ifs, you're in the moment, you feel present, and nothing else matters. You allow yourself to feel at home within because they bring you this sense of comfortability that you've never felt before.

They become this key with unlocking the side of your personality that you hide towards anyone else that you don't share a close connection too.

And for someone with a Scorpio Moon/active 12th House, this feels new for me. Comfortability and serene feelings are both things I search for. I genuinely don't show anyone my true feelings or thoughts, I always wear a mask with everyone I meet. So with that, I want to feel calm, and safe, so because of that I believe that what's this synastry is hitting in me, but if you don't have a disorganized attachment style (or maybe even Scorpio placements) like me, the feelings within might be different.

Or about how people perceive the fact that your clingy to him

If asked about it, he's honestly kinda confused

He unabashedly participates is PDA with his partner if they're comfortable

I don't think he would care if you sat in his lap or he sat in your in public

He lacks the ability to read the room, so you could be as clingy as you wanted in public because he isn't able to pick up on the fact that it might bother other people

"What do you mean, annoying? It doesn't bother me at all."

The only people he may be a bit more aware around is his parents

But of course there are moments where 2D need some space

Like right before live performances I could see 2D wanting to be alone for bit to prepare himself before getting kiss from his S/O before he goes onto stage

Or during his worse migraines he definitely needs to be alone

During the lighter ones he has no problem you you being around in fact he'll probably cling to you

But when it's real bad, people usually tend to make it worse

And 2D might start getting agitated and maybe a bit agressive due to the pain he's in

The breeze blowing in through the open windows is almost cold. No one has ever said that California is cold. Sure, the nickname The Golden State comes from the gold rush and not the rays of sun that beat down heavily on the state, but it's California. 

The O Club is dingier than Honey remembers, full of ancient Officers and their wives who still enjoy smoking inside and beer from lines that haven't been cleaned in so long that Honey actually grimaces when she thinks about it. 

The floor is sticky. So is the chair she is sitting in. The tabletop is covered in peanut shells and damn, this place is gross. Honey puts on her best smile for the manager as she slides her resume though the peanut shells. The paper absorbs a droplet of undetermined liquid when it reaches his side of the table. Honey fights back a shudder. 

The man who sits across from her seems completely disinterested in not only Honey, but his job in general. The only thing that seems to hold his attention at all is the baseball game on the television behind the bar. His eyes are trained just over Honey's shoulder. She watches as his eyes glide over the screen, taking in the way he almost mouths, his lips stopping himself halfway through his lack luster word of encouragement for the team up to bat. His tongue snakes out of his lips before he flicks it around to wet the chapped skin. Honey grits her teeth. 

"Mr. Spencer," Honey leans over right into his line of sight, a kind but annoyed smile on her face, "Thank you for taking the time to see me. Please hold onto my resume and give me a call once you've looked it over. I need to head to my next appointment. Thank you again for your time." 

The man waves a hand and gives her a noncommittal grunt as she stands up. She manages a tight lipped smile before heading for the front door. It's not worth it, she reminds herself as she pushes out into the chilled evening air. 

The dejected feeling she has been pushing down for the last three weeks seems to engross her, bogging her down like wet boots. It should weigh heavy on her shoulders but the only thing she can seem to feel is a broody sense of determination. The O Club is the fourth place she has been since nine am, and her luck doesn't seem to be improving. She is slowly exhausting all the locations that came up on her navigation app under the "BAR" tab. She scrolls back up to the top of the list, clicking on the first hit to come up. The Hard Deck. It is just a bit too close to the Air Base, but desperate times and all that. So, she throws her car into drive and heads towards base, and unknowingly towards her future.

The warmth that overtakes Honey as she walks into the Hard Deck makes her skin tingle. The cold evaporates from her skin, her goosebumps easing with each step she takes towards the bar top. 

The Hard Deck is busy, bodies bumping bodies as they make their way through the crowd. Honey pulls her blazer from her shoulders, letting the fabric slide down her arms as she scootches herself around a large man in a Marines uniform. He mutters an apology to her as his forearm grazes against her shoulder, the beer in his hand sloshing around in the glass. She offers a tight lipped smile. 

The folks behind the bar are busy, a flurry of hands and glasses, liquor and tap. They each have sweat droplets peppered across their brows, their forearms coming up to dry them off. The effort is fruitless as the sweat returns. 

Honey slides herself up onto an open bar seat between a woman who is unsuccessfully flirting with a man who has a tragically overgrown undercut and a man who is engrosses in the baseball game that is playing from his phone. Honey throws her blazer across the back of her chair, hanging her purse up along with it. 

The dejected feeling begins to crawl back in. 

"You're a little overdressed, aren't you, Babe?" The woman on the other side of the bar notes as she shakes a shaker near her ear. Her voice is a tad louder than necessary but her words are kind, so Honey manages a smile, genuinely. 

"Can't seem to win today it seems," Honey shoots back with a shrug of her shoulders, "Not a damn bar in this city is hiring," 

"What's your name, Babe?" The woman asks, brushing her bright red bangs from her eyes with one hand as she pours a drink with the other. 

"Y/N, but everyone calls me Honey," The bartender nods back, sending a drink down the bar. 

"Penny! We've got a live one!" The redhead calls down the bar before nodding back towards Honey. An older woman glances towards the redhead before her eyes land on Honey. 

"You're looking for a job? Bartender?" The woman, Penny, asks, pulling down on the Budweiser tap. The honey liquid flows into the glass, foamy and cold. 

"Sure am!" Her voice is slightly too giddy for the expression on her face. She pulls a folded up resume from her pocket, the paper now crinkled and less than presentable. Honey slides it across the bar with one manicured hand. It slides across the clean bar top with ease. The redhead takes a look at it before giving Penny a quick thumbs up just below the bar near her hip. She thinks Honey doesn't see it, but she catches it. 

Penny shuffles over and trades places with the redhead. She places a bottle of house vodka and an empty glass in front of Honey with a small smirk on her face. 

"Alright then, Honey Girl, can you pour me two ounces of this, no jigger?" Penny asks sweetly, before she is back to pouring another glass of beer on tap. 

Honey stands up on the bar of the stool, allowing herself to lean over the edge of the bar to grab a rag that has been abandoned on the other side. She steals a pump of hand sanitizer from next to the register before she wipes the bottle down with the towel. Then, Honey moves to the floor, pushing the stool back behind her. She takes the house vodka by the neck of the bottle, label facing Penny. Turning it over, Honey counts out two ounces. She then places the bottle on the rubber mat on the serving side of the bar, offering the double shot in the whiskey glass to Penny. 

Penny takes it and pours the contents into a jigger, measuring out the liquid. It comes out right at two ounces and Penny tries her best to hide the smile that is beginning to stretch across her lips. She isn't ready to give Honey the job just yet...

"Can you tell me what is in a Tequila Sunrise?" Penny quirks an eyebrow before throwing back the Vodka that Honey poured just moments before. 

"Two ounces tequila, four ounces fresh orange juice, a quarter ounce grenadine, garnishes with an orange slice and a cherry," Honey raddles off the recipe, counting the ingredients out on her fingers. The counting makes Penny chuckles a bit, and Honey just smirks at her, "Hard to do it without actually pouring the drink. It's basically muscle memory," 

The women behind the bar share a devious smile. Penny shoots Honey a look laced with scheme. 

"Come on back here and make me a Cosmopolitan, would you Honey Girl?" 

Honey places her hands on the bar, leaning forward to turn her head right then left, surveying the drinks in everyone's hands with furrowed brows. Then, she turns around, standing up on her tiptoes, looking around the room. She turns back to Penny with a smirk.

"Do these military folks even drink stuff like that?" There is a glimmer in her eye, one that Penny can't help but love already. 

"Nope," She pops the 'P'. 

"Okay Penny, I'll make you your drink," Honey winks before winding though the crowd to make her way behind the bar. She rolls the sleeves of her crisp white button up all the way up above her elbows before making a pitstop at the sink to scrub her hands. Then, Honey gets to pouring. First the juices, then the liquors, shaking then straining, the drink coming out pretty pink in a martini glass. 

Honey steps back, revealing the drink to Penny like a magician might reveal a woman sawed in half. There is a flick of the wrist and a dramatic bow that makes Penny laugh out loud. The older woman steps forward and takes a drink of the pretty pink cocktail, an instant smile on her lips the moment the drink hits her tongue. 

"Are you Military officiated?" Honey shakes her head no, a slight purse to her lips. She knows it isn't quite true, but she doesn't need to air her dirty laundry in the middle of this makeshift job interview. 

Her hands are clasped in front of her as she rocks on her feet. Heel toe, heel toe. Honey wants nothing more than to spill her guts to the seemingly friendly staff at the Hard Deck. She wants to tell about her father, and what a shitty man he is for abandoning her and her mother. She wants to explain how she ended up in this little bar anyway, and everything she has left behind over the years, chasing his ghost. But most of all, Honey wants to talk about Bradley. She wants to talk about the storm in his eyes and the way he spoke so angrily to her. She wants to lament to these women in the way she couldn't with Bradley. She wants nothing more than to speak of the life she left behind, but she doesn't. Instead, she bounces on her feet. Heel toe, heel toe. 

"Are you dating anyone in the Military?" There is a bit of humor to her voice but Honey can't help the drop her stomach takes- it falls so far she feel for a moment that she might never see it again, but then the nausea hits. 

Honey can still hear the door slamming. She can still feel the way her fingertips used to gently adjust the frame next to the door. She can still see Bradley coming in drunk, over the shoulder of one of his friends. Bradley, Jake Seresin, and Natasha Trace all got sent to Pensacola and their little trio could drink that town dry if they really wanted to, and they did just that a time or two. 

The photograph of Nick and Bradley has faded to the back of her mind now, but she swears she can still see Nick's eyes when she closes her eyes. She can hear the words Bradley screamed at her, and the tightness of his throat as he did. Her own words haunt her harder, deeper, like they are melting away her insides. 

Bradley Bradshaw is the furthest thing from Pete Mitchell in her mind. He would never abandon his family, that much she knows. Honey has seen him with Jake and Natasha, knows how he cares for them, and how much love he has for not only them but his team. She has watched him pour from his cup more times than anyone else, making sur that those he cares for are loved and that they know it. 

Maybe that's why it hurt so much; having thing end the way that they did leaves Honey feeling the furthest thing from okay. 

"No," Honey answers simply. 

"Good on you, Honey Girl," Penny sends her a wink, "I can't say the same for me, but I have seen so many relationships between these guys and their significant other's go sideways-"

Honey stops listening to Penny, too focused on the glinting diamond on her left hand. The diamond is large, and absolutely sparkling even under the amber lights of the bar. Honey blinks back tears as she looks at it, memories of Bradley flashing through her mind. 

Honey wants to ask Penny if she had ever had a fight quite so bad with her own husband. If being with a Navy man is always so hard or if Bradley just decided to make it that way. Is it all circumstance or does it come with time in? Maybe the it's issued to them with their gear, but it doesn't quite matter how it got there, the matter of the fact is that it's there. 

Somehow, Honey thinks maybe Penny knows exactly what she is feeling, and though Honey was the one to walk out the door, it feels like Bradley was the one to walk away. 

When her eyes make their way back up to Penny, she is standing there expectantly, eyebrows raised. 

"I'm sorry Penny, what was that?" 

"I said, the job is yours if you want it! We have a big welcome back party scheduled for a week from Friday, and I want you here and ready for it. My husband's team is getting recalled and they are going to be very excited to see each other. Can you start tomorrow?" 

Penny has already begun digging through a cupboard below the bar, her hands working just as fast as her lips. 

"I'll be here, Penny, thank you so much!" Honey's gratitude is met with a balled up shirt straight to the chest. She catches it before it drops to the floor, and Penny chuckles at the rapid movement. 

"Great, then I will see you tomorrow, now get on the other side of my bar!" She shoos the younger woman with her hands, offering her a smile, "And Honey Girl, welcome to the team," 

Honey leaves the bar with a sense of accomplishment she didn't know she could feel. The wet boot feeling in her soul is gone, now relaced with a sense of excitement for what's to come. There is still a part of her brain replaying all of the times the door slammed and the way Bradley would stumble into her arms. Nestled next to those memories is the image of Pete Mitchell with his arm wrapped tightly around Bradley, and Honey blames the nausea that swims deep within her body on that memory. 

There is so much going on in Honey's mind that she walks straight to her vehicle, not bothering to spare a glance away from her path. Once she climbs inside her car she takes a look at the t-shirt in her hand, the Hard Deck logo on the left chest, the word, "Bartender" is printed across the shoulders. Honey smiles, so distracted from the joy and excitement that she doesn't even notice the familiar blue Bronco parked just a few spaces away. 

Honey drives back to her shitty new rental with the windows of her car down. The chilled breeze blows in, messing her hair, causing gooseflesh to break out over her skin. No one ever said that California is cold, but it's about as far away from Bradley Bradshaw that Honey can get, so she shivers and enjoys it.

what if my g5 headcanons that will ultimately influence the story progression in my "rewrite" of mym?

i am one autistic bitch who feels let down my g5 in some aspects but mostly in a sense that it's just... missing some things!

disclaimer? i realy like g5. i come back to watch mym and tyt and the movie because it brings me joy and i like seeing the characters do things!

HOWEVER i personally feel like the story and writing is a bit... lack luster? im not sure if its because we're just missing so much information that's going to be explained later, or if the writers just... are struggling to piece together this lowkey mess of a situation our favs are in!

i just want to make sense of it all, and im a storyteller not a theorist so im not doing that theory stuff :) im just going to spew headcanons and be happy abt what i think could be implied by the writers that we dont actually get expansion on

[4/28/2024 edit] i drafted this way back in december '23 or jan '24 so some of these might seem "duh ofc! Thats canon!" but yeah, i just had it in the drafts for a loonngg time

now another disclaimer uhm,... when i "rewrite" mym im... not exactly going to remove key details? i think my intent is to include some things into each chapter that will make it a bit more digestible to all demographics? i like the sillies, i like the serious, and mym hits some really strong points that i think were executed perfectly! there are some things that are just spot on!

but again i just think mym is missing some elements and my headcanons are a result of that (obv bc thats what a headcanon is omg).

only big different in my rewrite will be opaline because her character is just... i dont know but i dont enjoy her. and i love villains. i am a villain enjoyer, and as many others have pointed out, she just randmly decides to be evil for the sake of being evil which sometimes i get it but before then it seemed like more than that? so im going to stick to "its more than that" and she has an actual solid goal in mind :)

HEADCANON TIME!

i love sunny!! since the movie she's been such a cutie and one of my favorites! in tyt and mym however, they have a habit of watering down her character to "naive protag who has flimsy and unbased morals" and that doesnt really sit right with me? sooooo headcanons for sunny? (and some others but mainly ones that focus on sunny)

Sunny likes history as a way to connect with her dad, and she collects things she thinks he might have liked, and continues his research partially because of her own ideals of friendship and spreading it, but also because part of her thinks she has to carry on his legacy

Sunny and Zipp have a "likeminded, different methods" leader rivalry

Sunny and Pipp love to spa day together! They're also late risers, and love healthy meals and afternoon strolls

Sunny lets Pipp style her mane and tail ALL the time for inspiration because she likes the pampering a little and bc she wants to help Pipp

Sunny does her best to assist her friends with their jobs from time to time. Mostly because of her admiration of Twilight and her idea of friendship meaning spending time doing things your friends love to do

Sunny invites them to help her make new smoothie ideas too

Sometimes Sunny spends time in the observatory, reminiscing her memories with her father. Typically on anniversaries and holidays. It's her form of quiet time

Sunny doesn't actually like help when she's cooking, not unless shes genuinely biting off more than she can chew. She'd rather her friends share the space with her while she cooks, and maybe grab an item or two for her when her hooves are full

Sunny considered looking to study magic after getting her alicorn powers, (zipp definitely encouraged it) but Sunny decided against it because 'she doesn't need magic if she has her friends'

Sunny isn't actually good at helping her friends emotionally. Her love language is acts of service, so kind words are all she can really offer.

Canonically (comics), Sunny likes to read! I like to think she has her own book nook and really likes books that are about overcoming odds and happy endings

(Based on the movie) Sunny's most noticable character flaw is believing every choice she makes is justified. A “ends justifies the means” type of character. She grows out of this when she learns she can rely on others to find a solution.

When given no option to explore, Sunny is a theorist more than a researcher

She was NOT immune to propaganda (but she knows what she truly believes in)

Sunny acts without forethought, and when there’s a kink in her quick plan, she forces herself to stop and reevaluate. All the same, she's sensitive to failure.

She is also quite intuitive, with her theories (even though help crafted by her dad) tend to be correct in one way or another!

Sunny was reluctant to rebuild the lighthouse because part of her felt like, starting over meant forgetting her father (as it tends to go, with grief of a parent.) [Her friends help her come around and work with her to give her father's stuff a safe space in the brighthouse]

I care so much about Zipp and the ways she can grow as a character. She was deep from the beginning but we never really got into more of her rather than her detective side. which i appreciate of course, but you know :)

Zipp is a natural leader (which in my rewrite i want to subtly emphasize this difference with Sunny learning to be a leader)

[Sunny and Zipp eventually would learn to work as a team, rather than one person having a more important say]

Zipp would be the one to teach Sunny what it means to lead, mostly indirectly, but sometimes directly

She leans away from leadership entirely and it causes a disconnect between her and her mother :(

She's drawn to puzzles and mysteries (especially in fiction) but prefers them in really fantastical settings

Zipp loves history, and views it as clues to her research about many things. If it's unrelated to current problem or doesn't have one on hand, she's not likely to read any history books

Zipp loves for Hitch to play detective with her. They snoop out clues together, and he helps her loosen up to solve the mystery faster as well as be more open minded

Zipp is wary of new ponies, and isn't quick to welcome anypony she doesn't know already or anypony not already dedicated to a cause (evidence: misty)

Zipp thinks Sunny studying magic and becoming more powerful would just be awesome to see

Zipp has a "problem" of being right all the time (sagittarius things)

After she gets ignored enough times about something she knows is true, she kind of just stops contributing to any conversation unless she has everypony's attention or if they're all out of ideas

She isn't a big fan of change? She prefers not to do new things all the time

But she LOVES a challenge!

Zipp is uncomfortable with being royalty in general. I assume she’d detach from the whole royalty thing entirely, and agree with Sunny’s ideals of democracy and equality to the point of stepping down as heir. Or she grows into her role, and becomes more and more queenlike each passing day

Zipp seems like the type to always be thinking, even during conversation. She isolates when things get too rough for her, and she's very quick to come up with schemes

Zipp is not good at lying. She avoids responses or tells half truths

She's an adrenaline chaser

Zipp starts out especially sarcastic toward Hitch because he's a sheriff and she thinks that's silly. Also because they have different ideas of leadership when they first meet.

Zipp (as well as Izzy and Sunny) love adventure!

i was so iffy on izzy when they introduced her in the show... i feel like she went from being an actual character with thoughts, to... watered down pinkie pie which is not enjoyable lol but anyways i like her actual moments of personality (not implying her lol XD random!! moments ARENT personality, but there are time where she's actually pushing it to the point of it being genuinely irritating with no comedic payoff :/

I BELIEVE IZZY HAS A PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY!! it just makes sense!! [she remembers in complete detail, or doesnt remember at all until way later]

Izzy would rather lighten the mood than make serious decisions :) She doesn't avoid action, but she does avoid sole leadership

to me, she's Brave and Direct and will step in if nopony else will. the type of character who isn't the hero, but will get the job done

Izzy in my mind is prone to going off on her own and not running ideas by ponies before acting which :) has its issues but comes in handy!

Along with Pipp and Hitch, Izzy LOVES nature! She teaches them both about Bridlewood's flora and fauna :) eventually they start having plants in the brighthouse and wanna explore all flora and fauna in the 3 locations

Izzy likes plants and is curious to what types of plants there are outside of bridlewood

Izzy learns some kind of multitasking spell, where she can create many things at once if she is making things in bulk :D

she does feel out of place in the friend group (canon to canterlot comic) and has a hard time making friends with the unicorns in other places :( [this is up until Misty, who makes her feel better]

Izzy sees Misty as a best friend :) But also takes on a silly older sister role with her!

She helps Misty grow into herself, and feel more secure with her past bebcause Izzy passes on her "damaged doesn't mean useless" ideals she usually saves for her unicycling

Izzy inspires Misty to use creation to get out her feelings, like making tea or exploring with crafts, just to find peace. She also helps Misty get out of her comfort zone in smaller ways, helping her try new things

When Izzy went looking for Maretime bay, Bridlewood just thought she went missing

Izzy wants close unicorn friends :( someone to genuinely bond with [see: Misty]

Izzy’s creativity comes from being really resourceful, BUT as a unicorn that lives in trees i’d imagine she’d have more respect for the trees of any kind LMAOO

she’s always got a solution to a problem even if unconventional or… surprising... but quick thinker!

Izzy loves to create things she can share with her friends (even when she has none, its the future thought that counts)

Izzy is the tallest out of the 5 of them? At least she’s taller than Pipp and Sunny

Izzy believes in Sunny way more than the rest of them do :) When Sunny has a plan, Izzy is ready to back her up!

now i see so many mixed opinions on pipp, but its mostly bc she's social media pony and i can't lie.... i tire of it... but pipp is great on her own! i dont think there's too much wrong with her, but at the same time i havent picked up much of her character and personality outside of social media (aside from this list ofc)

Bc her sister loves mystery and being a detective, Pipp lowkey has a spy hobby :) it started when they were kids, but it came back once they moved to Maretime bay

Pipp plans extravagant fake cases for Zipp every birthday :)

Pipp got her love of mystery (and by extension: horror / spooky) from her sister

Pipp does not have an interest in being any type of leader! she likes to inspire, but not lead :)

Pipp loves to glamp, and takes Hitch with her! Sometimes she camps with him to "embrace nature"

She likes to hear Sunny's spooky stories of the Everfree Forest

Pipp is a speed reader >:3 Any book she reads she just zooms through it

She's a great liar, for acting purposes but also just to save her hide.

Pipp can also be max sneaky, or by being the younger sib with no real duty to fulfill, its much easier for her to slip under the radar. Could be a reason she adores fame so badly and chases it harder than Zipp or Haven do

Pipp knows the city streets like the back of her hoof

She doesnt take Hitch’s title of sheriff very seriously unless she’s in Maretime bay

Pipp is VERY good at being a hype pony [ She was so happy to hype up sunny i ship pipp x sunny call that star petals ]

ill be so honest, hitch was my favorite from the beginning :D he's my favorite g5 pony ever, he's so cute and i love him to no ends!! i really liked seeing him stand up for what he believed in, and then when sunny was like "look, i told you" he didnt try to make any excuse why any pony kinds couldnt be friends :) he accepted it and was ready to help! i loved his moral code, you dont see a lot of lawful good characters this day and age (as far as ive seen)

BUT they did... do something to change his character in mym and tyt, taking away his love for order and replacing it with "stupid cop" gags and him being extremely silly. I miss his overconfidence and ego :( i dont think it should have left with the movie's end, it would have been so funny is he was still such a hardass

When Hitch gets stressed, he tries to alieve the situation and then calm down

Hitch is a scaredy cat

He has an overwhelming love for Maretime Bay, and typically likes to stay there if he can

Hitch liked not having magic so he doesn't actually use the new magic he gains

Hitch is loved by everyone in Maretime Bay, and he loves to protect him as much as he can, but he doesn't baby them

He makes jokes about a holiday about him where everyone cleans up litter around town, but insists its a joke

He gives good advice!

Hitch wanted to protect Sunny from being alone, and often protected her from bullies

Hitch doesn't put his friends above the law, and insists on fair punishment

After he gets Sparky, Hitch doesn't get to work out as much

Adding onto that, Hitch and Pipp bond over mane care

He's a realist, and knows that he can be wrong. But he'd rather the proof be shown first before he switches his ideals

Hitch is always open to listen

so called "free thinkers" when misty brightdawn is the best character in make your mark by far, solely because she feels (to me) like the only 3 dimensional character in the series :/ otherwise i just love her range and how silly she can be :) she feels real and fleshed out and obv she's just cute

Misty's special talent is actually inspiring change within herself and in other ponies, but whatever mym said is fine too

She's a jack of all trades after being made to be basically a maid of Opaline

She's got an excellent sense of direction

Misty got magic with everyone else, but bc of being in Opaline's castle, it was delayed, and weaker + Opaline forbade her from using it

Misty is more willing to confide in Sunny if prompted, because of all the times Sunny's protected her from pressure + Sunny is just a nice beacon of hope to talk to

Misty and Sunny bond over having to find their place in the world on their own due to absence of parent

Misty likes exploring creative outlets with Izzy

So I’ve been on a bit of a break which is why I’ve been pretty MIA, so sorry about that!  but I finally got to watch Season 7 of TNR and I can finally put my own review on it~! Please note that this contains spoilers, so if you haven’t seen it yet, stop reading here!

So I’ll start with my season issues before its good points. First off, the dragon secret is out to ICARUS and it was...incredibly lack luster. We had a 1 month time jump and the big reveal of dragons was rather...anti-climatic. I was really expecting a bit more from that, but oh well. Also, in the first episode, we get to finally see nadders, but they’re all hyper aggressive and it’s the only way we get to see them. They don’t show up again. Sad on that one. Next, of course is Thunder’s “alpha”-type thing he did to stop the nadders. I REALLY hope it was just a dominance stance as in “I’m tough and I’m being loud, so back off” and not “Thunder’s becoming the new alpha like Toothless” or else he is going to lose serious character points from me. It’d make literally no sense, especially since he nor his family are obviously alpha’s of all dragons and an alpha status isn’t some unlockable ability, it’s earned.

So the next thing and probably my biggest issue with this (especially those of you who know me will know I was going to have issues with this) BUT THEY KILLED THE FUCKING DEATHGRIPPERS. YES. THEY. KILLED. THEM. The deathgrippers are the ONLY dragons that got this treatment and that is actual bullshit. Oh, and if I hear literally anyone say “BUT THE DEATHRGIPPERS WERE BAD AND EVIL AND BLAH BLAH BLAH, my eyes are literally going to roll into the back of my head so far that I am going to make actual eye contact with the demon that controls the meat puppet that is my body. I don’t want to hear this comment because they are WILD ANIMALS and literally an animal cannot be good or evil please stop pushing that onto the dragons because that is an incredibly toxic and harmful way to view an animal species. So yeah, this alone knocked off a LOT of points from me because there was actually no reason for them to do this.

My 2nd biggest issue is OH MY GOD CAN THUNDER STOP BEING A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS. The whole poison dart episode was the worst and it was so eye rolling that I could hardly enjoy it. We get it, Thunder needs special attention and saved every other episode. Let’s move past it because it’s so boring that it’s starting to hurt his character for me.

My last big issue is that for a season that introduces the Realm of Giants, we...didn’t see the realm??? What was the point of that? We saw hardly any of it and though we got the Octofin and the Shellfire, we didn’t get to see much else. Of course, I didn’t get my bewilderbeast either, so that’s a bummer.

My last petty, but still an issue is that they’re starting to force this Tom and Jun romance. I’m not against there being a romance, especially for these two, but it’s starting to feel more like a “Hey, here’s a main male and female character, so let’s make sure they have apparent crushes on each other for reasons” instead of working up a more believable romance.

As for good points, characters outside of Tom are getting some good development and D’Angelo is quickly rising to my top favorite character. Jun, also being my least and actually disliked character starting out is starting to really build and I actually like her a lot more now. Also, the humor in this series has also gotten a lot better, too. I’m loving it.

I think the BEST points for this season are the villains, however. Actions are starting to have real consequences and are things that can’t be solved in just a single day with a teenager’s big idea. Also Buzzsaw is FINALLY worth having in the series. He’s becoming a much more formidable villain who is doing actual damage and thus making his time in the series much more interesting. The cliffhanger for the series is the best one so far. Sledkin is also becoming a very enjoyable villain instead of just the “shady co-worker”. And Dagur being canon means that RTTE is canon to TNR, so that is AMAZING.

All in all, I give this season a 7/10. It’s shaping up nicely, but the deathgripper deaths and thunder hurt it a lot.

A.N: A treat for a happy one year anniversary

You pace along the decaying wall with clenched hands, the scent of metal hitting your nose among the rest of the damp moss & earthy scenery around you. You halt momentarily as your eyelids felt heavy & you muscles began to feel sore, the buzzing & scuttling from outside catches your attention briefly before resuming your steps once more. Scraps of metal & wire rest among the floor, scattered about as if no one bothered to pick them up, tiny bugs pace about absent-mindedly before you give the mess of robot parts a gentle kick, you watch as the insects dispel with no sense of where to go.

Upon looking ahead of you, a metal door of which its paint has since become jaded & lost its color is visibly seen. Random vines wrap themselves around the door as flower petals litter among the ground infront of the entrance as the roots of the petals origin seem to have died long ago seemingly from the lack of sunlight. Scratches & dents become clearer to see as you approach it with cautious steps, faint sounds cam be heard behind the door echoing down the hall, each step switching between booming & close to low & distant.

Lifting your arm above your head, a plangent thud booms within the stark building, making your ears ring painfully before dialing down slowly. Whatever noise that could be heard from the other side had ceased, allowing the sounds of nature outside to be heard. Creaks pierce harshly against your eardrums, a wince escaping your throat as you step back with both hands covering your ears.

Not a source of light could be seen from the crack of the door nor any noise emitted from within, coolness drips down your cheek suddenly, making you swipe the back of your hand against your cheek, the same coolness now felt on your cheek. "Come inside" the abrupt voice from within the room arised a shriek that got caught in your throat, rugged coughing echoed down the hall, bouncing against the walls like a ping ping ball against a paddle.

A radiance of light catches you eye, a metal hand emerges from the darkness within as if tempting you to move in. "Come now" It's tone utters purpose & comes off more as a demand rather than an invitation, the hand stretching out slightly more, expecting you to comply. You take cautious steps towards the door, lifting your arm until you feel the frigid touch of the robotic hand against your palm.

It gently tugs at your hand, wishing for you to enter the unkown. You place your other hand by the door as you slowly enter passed the door, light from outside could be spotted shining in through the holes high on the ceiling & walls, revealing specks of nature & more scraps of metal & wires littering the ground. "You're quite late, you know" Loud steps echo around the room as bright blue emerges from the shadows, it's body lustering when it walked into the holes of light.

"I did?" You slouch a bit, observing the robot treaded towards you calmly as if each step was carefully planned out, you scratch your arm for a moment, "I guess I...didn't notice" You glance away from it every few seconds, though its crimson eyes never look away. It stops right in front of you, the fact it doesn't seem to blink unnerves you to your core, "Your clothes" It raises its hand & grabs a fistful of your shirt, you grab onto the robot's arm with both hands from the sudden action. "When was the last time you've washed it, hm?"

"Oh, I just...I didn't really have time" the bot loosens its grip on your shirt as you lower one arm down completely to your side.

"No time? Some as..." Its eyes gaze away as if pondering on what to say next, you release your shirt from its grip, patting down your shirt with a low gruff. "Eternal...as you, have no time?" You'd like to believe that its tone would nearly mocking if it weren't for it sound one-note. "This matters not at the moment, nor is it the reason I've called for you" You narrow your eyes slightly in confusion, yet when you tried to take a step back, the bot grabbed a hold of your arm.

"You're the one the called for me?" It merely nods its head, allowing you to see the streak of silver above its head before its eyes gaze at you again. "My master & everyone around me used to call me Metal Sonic" you only hum in response realizing you've never asked for the stranger's name, "But in this form..." Its hand lowers down you arm until its metallic palm is holding you hand, lifting it to where both of you can see it. "I am Neo Metal Sonic"

The way each word is said is as if it were a fact, something you decide not to question. "& while I wait for my master, you & I can lead as Gods for the time being" Gods? You wish you could utter a laugh at what you're hearing, before you can let a word leave your mouth, Metal Sonic reaches from behind him & you brace yourself, ready incase of him going to abruptly attack you, but instead are met with a glowing crystal in the shape of a diamond.

Its wine-like color glowed against Metal Sonic's surface, nearly matching that of his eyes. "Ever seen one before? It's a chaos emerald" The glow fades & resurfaces slowly, you gingerly caress the emerald, the coldness radiating off of it upon contact is close enough to cause goosebumps. "Uh...What did you...when you said..." You masticate your inner cheek, unsure if it was to process what the bot stated or to distract you from the cold of the emerald.

Neo hastily snatches your hand & tugs you forward as he begins to walk behind him like a parent holding onto their child, making you nearly fall from its sudden action. "I see your confusion dear" the faith illumination of the emerald can be barely seen from Neo holding it in front of his vision, its luster presumably brighter than before. "But I trust that with time, you'll understand, eventually"

"You & I, we will be regarded as Gods" It grip on your arm tightens, though you hardly react to it, both curious & fearful when you process what Neo's saying, dreading when everything will get out of hand from Metal Sonic choosing to play God.

"Understand what exactly...!?" Neo keeps quiet, whether not hearing you deliberately or not is unclear to you, "That's something you shouldn't worry for now" You hardly pay attention to any words it says, your chest feels heavy as if someone were putting their entire weight on you. "With this & the others remaining" Its voice, though low, booms in your skull like a harsh drum, you cough when the heaviness in your chest gets too much to handle, something that Neo pays no mind to.

yoo I'm so excited to binge the gw2 ost I happened to find One song from discovery but since I'm migrating my Spotify likes I haven't been focusing on finding new music.

also hell yeah pso2!! haven't played that ever since New Genesis rlly but man I really had fun playing it

I'm a big fan of GW2's ost though I won't say which ones (for fear of being stoned in the streets) I do think there's a few tracks that are a bit overrated which I normally wouldn't bring up because I hate just being like, negative about shit. However the reason I say that is because I believe personally that while those songs are good and all they overshadow every other really impactful and good song in the ost because they're the big popular ones everyone focuses on.

and yea! PSO2 is one of my like, 2 or 3 favorite MMOs. The music, the aesthetic, and even the gameplay are always just so much fun to come back to. I don't think NG is nearly as bad as people make it out to be, and I do enjoy certain aspects of it; but I fully admit that it feels lacking compared to the base game.

I think a big part of that comes from how the classes are handled in NG, with most only having a small handful of skills, PAs, and Techs that aren't actually very interesting. It leads to most players only using even fewer of their PAs and Techs because the bulk of the ones they have either aren't very useful or don't mesh well with the available skills. It's certainly fun to try to figure out proper combos but the game basically becomes spamming one or two PAs to win unless you play Force in which case you get literally just 1 single target and 1 AoE version of each element and your skills sort of give you a bit of extra variety? I mostly play Force in NG because what it sacrifices in fun movement it makes up for in fun variety. I mostly stick with the classic PSO2 mode though because nothing will beat the gameplay variety and skill combinations present in that game. I enjoy that while Hero, Phantom, Etoile, and Luster are the end game super classes; they can easily be matched by a half decent player using any of the base classes so long as they actually care about their build and weapons.

My one gripe that's sort of omnipresent in PSO2 is just how much of a grind the game is. I've gotten too cozy with Mabinogi's progression system being very lax about it's pacing and it results in feeling like PSO2 wanting me to constantly, literally; grind my weapons, find more of the same weapons to upgrade my weapons, then grind the skills on my weapons, then upgrade the element on my weapons, now do it all over again for each of the three pieces of armor, now do all the skill point side quests so you can get this 3% damage bonus from this skill which you need because there are only two modes for the story; Little Baby Gamer's First MMO Mode which will have you literally 1 shot every enemy and you never get to really enjoy any of the mechanics or boss encounters, or Your Ass Is Grass Mode where everything is max level and assumes you've poured countless thousands of hours into this game and now YOU get 1 shot by everything. That being said I love just playing with friends and hanging out.

This may mean they are turning a corner and ready to make it work.

Page of Wands Rev: I can't you guys. What is up with this? Here is a second card indicating boredom and losing momentum in your relationship. Upright it means excitement and endless possibilities. So, maybe their vibe is just off while traveling.

King of Wands: Now it's starting to turn around. the king is an exciting and charismatic lover. This indicates starting to put more effort into your love situation now so your bond can grow deeper. The king is fiery and can have a fleeting temper, but he brings excitement to your life. This may be how Natalie feels with Evan.

Lovers: This is good. This indicates a strong connection with your partner. Making decisions in your relationship. This is an interesting quote. "The idea here is that there may be a sacrifice that you must make in order to have this love. In some ways, all commitment is a sacrifice, but one made for the right person can help you grow as an individual. The choices and sacrifices that need to be made can apply to both you, a potential or existing partner."

Five of Cups Side: I decided to look at both sides of this card because it most definitely fell sideways. Upright it signifies a period of tension with your partner or loss and grief from a breakup. It also suggests that you look for what is salvageable. Rev: it can mean moving on from a past breakup and getting past old wounds. They are travelling and working and more than likely he is a bit stressed. There is no doubt about some arguments or moments of tension.

Knight of Cups: This signifies a person that can hop from lover to lover. Someone who is in love with love, flirtatious and may have unrealistic expectations of love. Try to enjoy the moment and keep your eyes open in your quest for love. So, basically not ready for commitment quite yet.

Natalie's POV: The Sun. Happiness and positivity. This has been pretty consistent. She's on cloud nine.

Evans POV: Strength Rev: This can indicate feelings of insecurity in a relationship. You may start to feel like your partner is becoming less understanding about these feelings. "Make sure one partner's needs aren't being trampled on" He might just be in his own head too much right now.

How do they travel together: I asked this cause being able to travel with someone says a lot. I got the devil. Which to me indicates the international hotel sex is on fire. 🥵 I want to add codependency to this as well. Which I am not saying is a bad thing. I just want to point out that while traveling to a foreign country ,or anywhere, you kind of have to rely on each other for safety and other reasons. Also, it could be the support they give each other at the events.

I want to wait til they are not traveling and might have some time to rest before I do another reading. I feel like being jet legged or tired makes people worried, anxious and disconnected. It's seems to be mixed, but turning around. But, I'm glad the tower is gone. Hallelujah for that ❤️

what is your interim conclusion about the season in general so far? (10x01 - 10x09) what stands out positively for you and what do you notice negatively?

Oh man, I had to really sit on this for twenty four hours because I wasn’t quite sure how to answer it. I’ll start by saying that I think I have more negatives about season ten so far than I do positives... Which is okay. But I also hate dwelling in all the negatives of something that I love, albeit it’s not quite the show we all used to know and love. So I will start with some of the positives that I have about the season. I sadly had to go back and look at an episode list of all the episodes that have aired this season because it’s all a blur that I had to make sure I was remembering correctly. 

I like that they are seemingly moving Adam and Kim forward. I know it’s not probably quite what the fans would like to see, but after years of the bouncing between the will they/won’t they - it seems like they are starting to give them some solid ground for a little bit, and the characters deserve that. I have loved seeing Adam be all domestic and in dad mode. I love him and Kim living at Disco Bob’s place together. I also like that they are letting Kim actually deal with the trauma she’s gone through over the past few seasons. It’s important to have her deal with it, accept it as best she can, so she can move forward. I’ll also add this, I hope they continue to move them forward into a good place. I adore Marina and Kim, but I haven’t necessarily loved what they have been doing with the character sometimes. I wish they’d give her more storylines, I feel like they have been repeating storylines with her. (Actually, I think they have been recycling a lot of storylines, not just with her, but with the majority of the characters.) 

I do like the introduction of Torres. I like that it’s a character we were introduced to before and he is seeming to mesh well with the rest of the team. I liked getting to know his background a bit more and I hope we continue to see them develop his character. I also really enjoy watching Kevin be a mentor for Torres through some 

And mostly, Tracy Spiridakos. It doesn’t matter what kind of content they are writing for her and whether or not I agree with it, she continually is phenomenal and will act it out of the park. I cannot sing enough of her praises. I am excited to see what she brings us in 10B. 

Now when it comes to the negatives I could go on a whole litany of different items but I am going to try and keep them relatively concise to the season and character(s) more as a whole. It’s no secret that the show suffered a big loss this year. I also think that they are struggling immensely in the presence of this loss. It feels like they are putting out fires left and right without really looking for the real source of the burn... I know Jay isn’t replaceable and I don’t want him to be replaced, but they are dragging Hailey through this mud put that keeps growing by yards and yards. I get that her reaction is in character and it makes sense for her, but there are a handful of different ways that this could have been written and handled but they are choosing to do it this way. And poor Kevin... It’s the same story for him time and time again, I wish they’d do something different for him. I also don’t know WHAT in the world they are trying to do with Voight but he went from lone wolf in the beginning of episode one telling Jay and Hailey that they aren’t each other’s keepers to then wanting to be the protector? 

Overall, I am having a hard time with the storytelling aspect in season ten. It’s either heavily character driven and we lack on a case or it is heavily case driven and there’s no momentum for the characters. Not every case has to be this huge production and we lack on any development or progression for any of the characters. Conversely, we don’t have to have such character driven episodes where the case seems to be lack luster. (Staring at you mid-season-finale). There are a time and a place for each of those different episodes, but they can’t seem to figure out how to do it this year. They also can have a character driven episode that’s spurred on by a case - and they have done that well in the past, but they just haven’t nailed it this year. 

I think at the end of the day, they are missing a piece of their puzzle. Regardless of where it stands on the matter, I feel like they are barely treading above the water and are struggling to stay afloat. I do think that there is still great potential with the characters that are currently there, they just have to tell the right stories... I hope that in the back half of the season they are able to find some middle ground again.

This makes me think of both of the knives out movies and of the original Murder on the Oreint Express.

I know how all three end, I've watched those mystery murder movies many times, but the build-up and ending is still so amazing to me!

Than I look at the Murder on the Orient Express remake and it really made me go 'eh- why?'

Its each action by the characters feels disconnected and only there to shock us, the way they just pushed together 'interesting' events like (those who know the story will understand this a bit better) one of the characters running off to give the illusion of the mobster running off, but he was caught right away so why did he keep running with fake evidence?? Why did literally EVERYONE on that train have a secret gun? Why did two separate people get off with no punishment for shooting Poirot? WHY did two people shoot him?

The remake left me so frustrated and it was told in a way that made the ending twist so... Unsatisfying. As someone who knew the story before hand, who was "spoiled" of the twist. It was lack-luster and made little to no sense, not really.

The original had a way of Poirot not giving anyone a peak into his mental process but gave the audience enough visual or audio from everyone else that when he said something it made sense how he got there. It was also full of little things that confused the audience the same way it distracted Poirot but it all made sense during his explanation at the end.

The remake... Didn't have that- Poirot in that jumped to things that made no sense, and for the big reveal it felt like the incorrect answer and like he pulled it out of his ass.

With the Knives Out stories, its similar. Sure in the first one they fully tell us how it happens in the first half of the movie, but than we get to continue following Marta and get the real twist and it feels so in place and actually worked for. Knives out also gives the audience little things to let us know things aren't what they seem. Not to mention both the knives out movies and the original orient express movie did such a good job making interesting characters (Yes, I know the characters from the orient express are from Agatha Christie- love her- but we all see what they did in the remake with those characters, so I gotta praise the original makers a little, at least)

Anyways- thank you for coming to my TED talk- this just let me rant about how much I dislike the remake of the murder on the Orient Express and how the original is much better.

Naraka Bladepoint | Character Creator Chat

Recently I generally lean towards single player focused JRPGs. But the one online game (Aside from FF:XIV) that I've spent the most time in has got to be Naraka Bladepoint!

Now I should mention that this game is F2P, so the actual outfits in this game will cost real money, But I've been playing this for a few weeks and have been having fun without spending any money. Mainly because this game features a detailed character customization!

I've seen some Single player rpgs that has less options than this! ...And to be honest, it's a little overwhelming, even if they really just let you edit the face and skin only.

Just look at all these options for the Second 'Chin adjustment' Section!

I'm going to have to leave most of this alone..

They also have a dedicated section for 'blush', most games pair this with other settings, making it so you have to trade off blush for tattoos or other features. And you can also adjust where the blush appears on your character. And for eyebrows..

What even is this? you get a choice of not just the 'pattern' but also the 'shading' (brightness) and a separate color option. Then there's a whole separate section with slides three different parts of the eyebrows, insider, middle and outer. not just left/right side. It's pretty crazy to see just how much a tweak to the eyebrows changes the expression:

I'm trying to create my standard 'cid' avatar, From style savvy, it was pretty easy in Fashion Dreamer and FF:XIV, As both have presets, but It's much harder with this game's more realistic style, and lack of presets for each section. And now the section I always get stuck on:

I don't know what it is about noses, but I never know what to do with them. I guess I've never paid any attention to them on others, so I don't really know what's considered 'a good nose' nor do I really have any preferences for designing them. Unless they distract from the rest of the face, I normally just want to leave them alone.

At most, I'll just tweak a few sliders to make it 'not generic' (i guess) and try to not make it look worse. This is really hard! Next we move on to lip options:

A few basic patterns, and two sliders 'shading' (color) and Luster (finish). It's not a huge deal, but feels like an odd choice, especially when eye makeup has like 3 times the options:

But when it comes to lip model, don't worry, you'll be back to being flooded with sliders:

Aside from skin tone, they also have two different "skin types:

It may be hard to see without zooming in, but they change the shading a bit, and how light interacts with your character's skin tone.

You'll also be able to adjust the luster, aging, and give your skin a metallic sheen?

You'll have multiple design slots for each character, and you can always go back and edit them for free!

Extra hairstyles can be unlocked as well, and can be switched at any time, as they not saved in your custom 'faces' for each character.

So here's my final look:

Not exactly a perfect fit, but I still think it turned out well:

(Turns out I had noting like the in-game outfit unlocked in ss, oops!) But again, my 'Cid' design does not have any set rules, other than "look cool and confident" so I guess this fits! I still need to mentally work on the "You don't need to justify your character creations" bit, But I think branching out my 'Cid' design with each game is helping a little, hopefully I'll be able to move to just saying "I want to make a cool looking character". or any other style, Fun, cute, funny, tough, etc. but that's still a work in progress! Anyways,I've been having a lot of fun editing various characters, but playing F2p means I'm limited in who I can unlock, But I'm not limited by how much creativity I can use!

Although, it's kinda sad that all these really cool outfits are locked behind $15+ purchases and lootboxes.

But, I guess they gotta fund their game somehow :-/ Anyways, I had a lot of fun playing and talking about this game with you all! Unit Teambuilding - Lucas

I know full well I talked about Lucas before but I can't find the old writeup so new year new me I guess.  Let's talk that expansion.

Grid Expansion Lucas was, at the time, considered by many to be better than Renegade Cynthia.  Better setup tools, better DPS pressure, better partners with the Dragon Zone thing.  As a result, I doubt many looked at Lucas and though man.  There's someone who really needs an expansion.  But he got it, so here we go.

Lucas wanted for nothing.  His sync was tremendous, his DPS was higher than average thanks to "accuracy issues" he fixed with his TM that perfectly set up all his needed offenses.  He even got to cap his own speed for his Inertia multiplier, and rotated Free Moves Next with each Trainer Move into Roar of Time.  Lucas was crazy good.  The only thing that languished in time was the lack of extension effects.  Anyone who's anyone extends their field effects nowadays, GRUSHA, so it's the only thing Lucas realistically could ask for.

So it makes sense that's all he got.  No really, that is the only thing of note he received.  Brain Sync 2 and Sharpened Mind 1 are fine but negligible buffs, Status Immunity is pure Gauntlet gimmick that isn't even super useful for a Tech without bulk and healing, Soften Up is cute but pretty easy to ignore, and Satisfied Snicker does not currently align to any Dragon types.  No one in the type has Devastation except C!Iris, who is physical, and just wants to partner with NC Nate these days.  Literally the only thing of value is the extension.

But hey, probably speaks well of the pair's utility that, even when they reached the point they could give him more, they couldn't think of anything that impactful that wasn't just extension of a field effect.  Which is odd because I sure can!  Look, he's a Zone support, what are Zone supports for?  Why do people focus on these field effects?  That's right, it's to nuke the hell out of some fools.  Which means the person setting the field effect?  Ideally they're more DPS focused than sync, or at least pack other beneficial effects.  Lucas' Satisfied Snarl isn't it, and while his base DPS is good, it's not like they couldn't afford a 30% bonus somewhere, you know?  I just feel like he gained too little, when there was still room for improvement compared to modern fare.

EX and Move Level? To put it bluntly, if you have 3/5 Lucas, you have no reason to fret.  Lucas is not SS Diantha, he is not living and dying by the presence of his field effect, and thus can rely on waiting until just before sync to set it like a normal sync pair.  Extension 3 offers nothing so substantial that this becomes a requirement.  If you have Lucas 1/5 and mostly used him for some nice DPS pressure and support to SS Serena, you'll be happy to know nothing has changed.  Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.

Team 1: Lucas, SS Brendan/NY Clair, SS Serena This is the team that put Lucas' name on the map.  Dragon Zone was good initially because of the myriad free dragons, but when SS Serena dropped just two months later, Lucas exploded onto the field as a supportive pair.  Serena was already insane in her damage contributions, but with Zone active?  The game is actually over.  SS Brendan's eventual release later that year perfected the core, offering sharp Sp Def drops through Luster Purge, paralysis for gimmick checks, Potion, Sp Def for defensive backbone, among other traits.  Granted, Brendan and Serena fight for sync, but Serena wins, and it's not like there's a better Dragon Su-OH WAIT THERE IS.  Kinda.  She doesn't drop Sp Def, but NY Clair offers a team-wide DPS boost under Dragon Zone, prevents enemy Dragons getting a boost from it, and solves all of Serena's crit needs in one action, while supplying Def for survival.  She's a bit less sturdy than Brendan, lacking Potion, but either achieves the goal.

Team 2: Lucas, Roxanne, Cyrus/Lance/SS Cynthia In the times before SS Serena, Cyrus was the go-to man of the hour.  SS Cynthia was still pretty middling, while Cyrus' own grid and expansion turned out pretty great.  His Dragon damage wasn't exceptional by any means, but he was a good, and more importantly, free EX Striker.  Roxanne covered for Cyrus' TM and avoided that recoil while supplying the needed stats.  In modern times, Roxanne has an EX we'd like to use, and Lance's Hyper Beam is serious business DPS after his own expansions allowed him to handle crit rate.  Or you can pack SS Cynthia, whose 3/5 focus appreciates this composition as well.  5/5 can get Free Moves Next on a paralyzed opponent, so she might prefer Brendan for the stats and extra Hostile Environment roll.

Team 3: Lucas, SS Mina, SS Leon This is a more recent acquisition, focused on SS Mina's ability to give SS Leon what he wants, by blocking half the damage from enemy sync with her Buddy move.  This allows Leon to fully power up his DPS pressure, with Lucas providing the Zone.  It's a little risky, and not super worth it since Leon doesn't have a sync conditional for it, but you have that option.  Lucas' own speed capping and rotation of Free Moves Next helps alleviate the gauge problems.

Team 4: Lucas, SS Kris, Clair/Zinniquaza This is one I'll do sometimes, but Clair was approximately saved by SS Kris' introduction, thanks to her compression of Rain.  Lucas can fit in here, supplying the Zone.  Clair misses paralysis, but given her bonus crit in rain node, she's able to start firing strong DPS earlier than usual with this core, contributing meaningful DPS alongside Lucas, who I think is still just stronger.  If you want something a little more modern, Zinniquaza's mega evolution gets some big numbers, but you do need MPR Kris to make the crit rate for her.

Team 5: Lucas, Lucian, Drake If you just want Lucas to do the killing, here you go.  Lucian has the needed Sp Def debuffs, speed boosts to ease Lucas' demands, and is all around ridiculous.  Drake is chosen as support for theme skills, because all you realistically need is defensive stats for survival; Lucas is purely self-sufficient.

Final Thoughts Lucas is still pretty great.  I think the focus should be a bit more on his DPS, since I personally find he uses that more than he uses sync, but I'm willing to let that go.  He does pretty well, even if he's not my most used dragon man.
