she was one of the moms who banded together to put forth the rule about kits not being made apprentices! very cool of her! honestly i rly like that mom trio. they're v fun. might start hcing them as a polycule, but even just as a friend group i love em.

i thought it'd be cool to give her a little poison oak accessory, since cats aren't affected by it. i wanted her to seem tougher in an unexpected way, and i feel like the lil poison oak helps show that.

Oakleaf from Code Of The Clans. Oakleaf is an ancient ShadowClan queen who formed a friendship with a WindClan queen, Daisytail, due to them both being pregnant. Later on, Daisytail visits her on the border when both their kits are born with her friend Hawkfoot to persuade her to not let her young kits be in the upcoming battle. This drives them to stop the battle before it starts between ShadowClan and WindClan and makes the two leaders accept a new rule of the code: Kits are to remain in camp, protected by their mothers until they are six moons old. Then, and only then can they be apprenticed as either a warrior or a medicine cat. Oakleaf never mentions her kit by name or any other family members but if I could name it, I would name it after a flower like Lily, Poppy and such, as a reference to Daisytail. (Info gained from the wiki/own headcannons)

I like doing Background characters more than characters people know. Especially from side stories! I like this one a lot. A mothers fury knows no bounds.

Anyways, this is one of the first designs I’m not happy with and may redo in the future. For some reason, no matter what I did I hated her design. She just seems so,,,,eh to me and I don’t want to feel that way about my designs. I wanna go: yes that’s cute! That’s cool! That’s creative! It really shows their character! She is just, orange.

revamping some Very old warriors OC’s of mine. I’ll probably change a name or two, but these are Mudclaw, Dusk, Morrow, Bugpaw and Oakleaf! idk how much abt their story ill change or if theyll just be regular clan cats, essentially their story used to be that its some sort of post-apocalyptic land (for the cats anyway) after a hurricane/big storm and they were some of the few cats that survived. it’ll probably change a lot if not completely but yea... my babies <3

also SUPER trying around with my style bc idk how to Cat lmao. soooo dont mind that these are all in totally different styles lol

Stella's opinion on all the German Ranger's Apprentice book titles (Of the main series)

Alright, here it is. I will follow the same pattern throughout the whole thing, so you better know it before hand: Book x - English title - German title - (The translation) - opinion - rating (I'm not gonna rate literal translations) Also, I talk a lot also about the English titles, but the rating is only for the German ones.

Book 1 - The ruins of Gorlan - Die Ruinen von Gorlan - literal translation

Book 2 - The Burning Bridge - Die brennende Brücke - again, literally translated

Book 3 - Icebound land - Der eiserne Ritter - (The iron knight) - out of all the translations, this is the one that I understand the least, like, ??? Did they just call it after the book cover? There's little to no mention of iron in the German book, so. why. would. they. call. it. that. - 1/10

Book 4 - Oakleaf Bearers - Der Angriff der Temujai-Reiter - (The attack of the Temujai-horsemen) - This is just a very German translation, I think. Just straight to the point, long, no mystery, just what's happening. Also, it's been a while since I read that book, so I don't quite get the English title. Is it a reference to how the book ends? Anyway, a little less germanificated would've been nice, but a valid translation. - 8/10

Book 5 - The sorcerer of the north - Der Krieger der Nacht - (The warrior of the night) - there's not much to say here other than I just personally prefer the German one. Both titles are fitting, and I think Krieger der Nacht has the better ring to it. Might be because I'm german - 10/10

Book 6 - The siege of Macindaw - Die Belagerung - (The siege) - Almost a literal translation, so I'm not gonna rate. But it's rather funny to me that for once, the English title is longer.

Book 7 - Erak's ransom - Der Gefangene des Wüstenvolkes - (The prisoner of the desert-people) - Notice how these two titles are together a bit of a spoiler for the book, 's kinda fun. Both titles fit though, but I suppose the English is better, merely because Erak is a known and liked character at that point, so I think this title gains more attention/curiosity. - 7.5/10

Book 8 - The kings of Clonmel - Die Befreiung von Hibernia - (The liberation of Hibernia) - Not a fitting translation. If I remember correctly, it's mostly just Clonmel they 'free' from the cult, but let's be honest, this is not the main focus of the book. Halt's backstory is. - 3/10

Book 9 - Halt's peril - Der große Heiler - (The grand healer) - While I do stan some Malcolm recogition, he is not the focus of the book. Again, it's Halt and Will kind of panicking about it. I'm starting to wonder if the translators don't like Halt. - 5/10

Book 10 - The emperor of Nihon-Ja - Die Schwertkämpfer von Nihon-Ja - (The swordsmen of Nihon-Ja) - Both titles kind of fit, but the English one is just a little more on point. The book is about keeping Shigeru emperor, not about the black bear learning some sick moves. But both are related to war, so I'd say it's more fitting than book 8 and 9, but that's not too difficult - 6/10

Book 11 - The lost stories - Die Legenden des Königreichs - (The legends of the kingdom) - Well, we just get a few stories out from a box. They're not legends. But the German title sounds far more epic and does do justice to the stories a little better, so I still like - 10/10

So. There you have it. I rated all the books of the English main series. Why do I say English? Glad you asked. It's because the German translators decided that sequals are for the weak and added the whole of RR onto the main series.

Okay, I'm also jumping on the bandwagon of the AU's

For @rangergathering, a beautiful RA crossover with Assassins creed.

It's the year 2106 in the United States of Araluen. 25 year old William H. Treaty works as a history teacher in a high school near the east coast. He has visions and strange dreams about a life that doesn't seem to be his, but as a historian, he just decides to enjoy them; there are worse ways to fall asleep.

When he wakes up one day, he wakes up in a completely white room. Across of him sits a blonde woman. The woman explains that as of yesterday, the world thinks that William H. Treaty has passed a way in a car accident with a drunk driver. For as far as the world knows, he does not exist anymore.

William, not being entirely stupid, wants to know where he is. Surprisingly, the woman explains it to him: they are at a secret facility somewhere in the forests of Araluen, where according to legend, the ancient order of the king's rangers had its annual gatherings. She doesn't explain much, only that it is the aim of her organisation to make sure Araluen prospers above everything and anyone else. She lets him go, claims that he is not a prisoner here and is free to explore the grounds.

William finds his way to the dining hall and his attention is claimed by a guy around his own age, who seems to be incredibly long. The young man in question introduces himself as Timothy, but whispers that his actual name is Horace, sunrise warrior and Oakleaf night. William thinks that Timothy is bullshitting him, but Timothy tells him that everyone here has a secret identity. William will find that out soon enough when the blonde "witch" puts him into "the thing". William wonders what Timothy means with "the thing", but he soon finds out.

William gets involuntarily linked to the Animagus, a device that can access his genetic code and let him live the experiences of his ancestors. According to the blonde woman, William is a decendant of Will Treaty, one of the most famous rangers Araluen has ever known in its existance. If William wants to prevent Araluen from ever getting into a war again, she needs his help. Queen Cassandra had gifted her daughter Madelyn, a ranger herself, with an incredibly powerful gift: the orb of Araluen, a magical orb that is said to contain all the wisdom ever seen in the kingdom of Araluen. Will Treaty would apparently be the last person who saw the damn thing...

William gets uploaded and linked to the Animagus more and more, and he starts to gain access to memories that are obviously not his. Or... Are they? Does he remember who he is? Is he William H. Treaty, the history teacher from Redmont, or is he something else? Someone else?

DRA/SDRA2 Warrior Cats AU: Chapter One

"'Berry, we ran into a thunderclan patrol asking to see you and Oakleaf," Memorysplash's voice caught the small medicine cat off guard as she re-organized her herbs, "they sounded a bit out of it? By that I mean they were desperate."

Her father stepped into the light cast by the den entrance and shook his brown pelt free of leaves, old moss, and stray cobwebs. "Thunderclan? They're asking for help again?"

Waterberry rose to her paws and tapped her father's shoulder. "They haven't asked for help in moons because of their pride, Oakleaf... I don't know if you've forgotten, but ever since Icestar became leader, they've been more prideful then ever."

"Icestar...? oh, Iceclaw became leader? What happened to Smokestar?" His light brown eyes turned to hers, clouded with confusion and age, "I had no idea she had been on her last life, Waterpaw..."

Her heart dropped at that and she got a few pawsteps ahead, towards the entrance, and blocked his path. "Oakleaf, she's been dead for five moons. I've been a fully fledged medicine cat for ten. I'm Waterberry now. Don't you remember giving me my name...?"

Memorysplash had left by now, which Waterberry felt bad about, but her father's memory was becoming worse by the day, and that was more important in her mind.

Oakleaf jerked his head back in shock and moved back onto his haunches. "What? No, no... You should still be Waterpaw... I... You're only 6 moons old! You just got apprenticed! I haven't trained you in anything yet..."

"Dad, if I was 6 moons old, I would be a lot smaller than I am now...," She let out a shaky breath, "I'm 26 moons old now, Oakleaf. And... And maybe I should handle the thunderclan patrol today... you need a bit more rest, you're beginning to worry me."

The brown tabby frowned in dismay but slowly backed away from the entrance. "If you're sure you can handle it..."

Waterberry dipped her head calmly in response before turning and scampering out of the den, and soon, out of camp. The patrol was led by a large dark gray tom, whom she quickly recognized as Coalboulder. He was a half a moon older than her and, despite being from different clans, they practically completed their apprenticeships together.

On his right was a cream-colored she-cat with medium-length fur, an orange muzzle, and blue eyes- Hayshot. She was younger than the two of them by two moons, but she had a fierce temper that could scare a badger into hiding. Thankfully, she was playful most of the time. On his left was a small tom with light yellow fur, orange ear tips, orange paws, and heavy blue eyes. She had not seen this cat before, but he did look similar to Hayshot-- family, perhaps?

Coalboulder rushed forward when he met her eyes, his large paws stumbling over the river's pebbles so he could lunge and get to her. The small she-cat stumbled back and fluffed out her pelt in alarm, but he did not lunge to hurt her.

"Waterberry!," he gasped desperately, "Do-- Do you have any spare coltsfoot? Frostlight is out, and Honeypaw desperately needs it, and-- and--"

Hayshot leaped from rock to rock as a way to cross the water un-dampened. "Coalboulder, calm down. Waterberry, his sister... ah... Honeypaw, is sick again, and she's been having struggle breathing. Icestar has refused to set out herb patrols, and Frostlight has had no time to go out looking."

The scottish fold sighed and nodded in understanding. "Yes, I should have some. I'll wrap some up into a bundle for you-- you'll have to be careful when walking it back to camp, it could get damaged."

Hayshot dipped her head in understanding and Coalboulder dropped to his stomach to grovel his thanks. The small tom whom had accompanied them tried to hop on over, although he slipped and nearly went splash into the rushing waves. Thankfully for him, Hayshot turned around in time to grab him by the scruff and yank him over.

Waterberry waved her tail in temporary farewell and shot back to camp, allowing her paw pads to be scraped and bruised by the rough stones underfoot, all so she could get what she needed and give it to the patrol in time.

When she returned, Suncloud and Birdstorm were sharing tongues with the patrol-- laughing, making jokes, playfully bopping each other... It was nice to see that clans could get along, even not at a gathering.

Coalboulder, once again, noticed her first, but the small tom got to her before the large warrior could. "I'll take those!" his voice was fierce and determined, just like hayshots, but also carried something akin to worry.

Gently, Waterberry placed the bundle of coltsfoot on the ground and watched with caution as the other gingerly picked it up.

"Ryepaw, remember, you have to be careful! Don't fall flat on your face again!" Hayshot called over teasingly, causing the apprentice to fluff up and spin. Due to the herbs he was carrying, he was unable to say anything, so instead he stomped up a storm.

A few heartbeats later, both clans said their farewells, and Waterberry returned to camp with a clear mind... Until she saw an injured Sparrowpaw.
