A Quick About
Hello, my name is Breeze! I am in my mid 20s and a breeder who also does rescue work on occasion. I specialize in behavior and biology of pokemon. I live in the outskirts of Sinnoh, and am willing to help others under any circumstance with any problem, albeit I know anything about the pokemon as there is a small handful of species that are too rare, possibly fake, and so I just can speak hypothetically.
I currently work in a ranch of my own which is large and able to be a safe area for any and all types of pokemon. It also allows wild pokemon to come in and out as needed. The mix of that and the occasional rescue work has it to where I've seen a lot of things that I wouldn't wish for anyone to see or go through.
I also am willing to talk about myself and my own experiences/beliefs etc. In fact, I'm planning on doing that a bit more often than when I started.
I have actually been on Rotomblr for a few years, but never thought of making an about of any sort until recent. Hopefully this is good enough. My early years here consisted of me just sharing random facts and helpful advice, but again I'm hoping to share more about myself later.
Regardless, I can answer any questions you may have! Go ahead and ask!
My current personal pokemon are:
Umbreon. Male, my partner since I graduated school and he hatched.
Talonflame. Female, a rescue that's become my partner after she refused to go back into the wild as a Fletchinder. Is missing feathers on one leg.
Thwacky. Male, a twin hatch pokemon I was given as an abandoned because the trainer only could afford to have one but the egg had two Grookey come out. Evolved quickly
Hisuian Zorua. Male, newest member. Was hiding in my ranch during winter.
((OOC/important stuff below the cut))
((Breeze is a strong follower of Arceus in a world where most people have the belief that every legendary is a deity of some sort. She doesn't let her bias stop her from helping people. Legendary babies are also incredibly rare and mythicals are argued to not even being real, minus Shaymin, which is seen in large numbers yearly in Sinnoh, and Manaphy/Phione, because Phione numbers are big.
This blog has the belief that pokemon can rarely give live birth.
This blog allows Pokephilia stuff as long as it's not explicitly written and not a picture. It also doesn't accept anything pokephilia with the actual baby pokemon. That being said, it's very rarely brought up so if it's an issue you can probably just block the tag jic or unfollow.
Pokemon hybrids/crossbreeds aren't a thing in this blog. All having different pokemon parents can do is maybe a teeny bit of differences in patterns or colors. Humans can't breed with pokemon.
This blog is a side blog and will not show up in your list of people following you if I do follow you.
THIS BLOG WILL CONTAIN DARK TOPICS ON OCCASION. Stay safe!))

How Iâd Ruin it: Transformers
Inspired by Tyrantisterror and his âhow Iâd ruin itâ series, Iâm doing one for Transformers. Iâm gonna take this one step at a time, because Iâm crazy about transformers and I got a lot of thoughts on what I would do if I had three phases of a comic book.
Part One: Lore
For the general lore of this hypothetical series, Iâd lean into the Primus vs Unicron storyline. Ironically appropriate for my How Iâd Ruin It, because I know a good number of TF fans who prefer the quintesson origin and want to return to it. Sorry fellas, I just think the thirteen primes are neat. We also take a look into the (possible) future of the cybertronian race at the start of phase two of the hypothetical comic. Iâll be dividing this lore into ages for simplicity's sake.
Prehistory: At the very beginning of the universe, there was an omnipotent being made of light with no name. This being, referred to by cybertronian historians as The One, had cosmic powers beyond space and time. With this power, it saw into multiple timelines and dimensions out of young curiosity. There were so many different lifeforms, all with their own cultures and beliefs. There was peace and war, creation and destruction. As its knowledge grew, so did its internal conflict. Why were these unique beings fighting over seemingly pointless things? Was it individual philosophy that sparked greed and violence, or was it differing beliefs that each species held? If they were to all unite under one banner, would they lose that which made them unique. Was it morally correct for such a perfected and powerful being as The One to judge and interfere with mortals? The One had become so confused and anxious from this internal battle, that its mind and body split into two separate beings. Primus, the great creator, adored and even envied mortals. Where The One was flawless and blank, these miniscule lifeforms were varied and colorful. These beings could change and grow. Even the smallest could evolve and transform into something beautiful. Then there was his brother, a being who hated these ununiformed and petty insects. He vowed to destroy and reshape these species into a singular kingdom of rigid order. No longer would there be conflict, for he would punish and unite all as their one God. He would be Unicron, the chaos killer. These cosmically powered twins became natural enemies the moment they were created, the following battle lasting for billions of years. The battle ended in a draw, Primus and Unicron were so exhausted that both entered a deep sleep. In this coma like state, meteors and other space debris formed around them to become seemingly dormant planets.
Age of Primes: Sensing that Unicron was regaining strength and reformatting his planet into a colossal body, Primus began to plan his defense. Not wanting a repeat of their last battle, Primus decides on a different approach. He creates the thirteen primes, incredibly powerful, autonomous robots with unique abilities. Together, these thirteen would prepare for the return of Unicron and become a sort of family through their training. After the deed is done and the chaos killer is defeated from the inside of his vast body, the thirteen are left to their own devices on the metal world of Primus. As his final act, the great creator formed the well of all sparks. It was here that new robots were created and the planet would be known as Cybertron. Thirteen tribes were created, each led by a different prime, which led to the foundation of cybertronian culture. Much like previous TF stories, the thirteen primes had a falling out due to the manipulations of one manipulative and ambitious prime. The primes nearly went to war with one another, until the near death of one of their most beloved siblings shook them out of their anger. Realizing that they were not the infallible gods that they thought they were, nearly all the primes either left Cybertron or merged with the planetâs inner core. Only one prime remained to overlook the planetâs development, Alpha Trion, who gave one of the mythical artifacts of primes (the matrix) to one worthy of leadership.
Age of Function: After receiving what would later be known as the matrix of leadership, the prideful but valiant Nova Prime unified the thirteen tribes into one civilization. What follows is the planet wide construction of cities and government. Because the masses were still freshly made and unsure of their purpose in this new world, Nova decided to create functionism. Each cybertronianâs alt-mode would determine their role in creating Cybertron. At first, when the species was still relatively small in number, this system served well in accelerating Cybertronâs society. But when the contruction was near its end their optics looked towards the stars, the inherent flaws of functionism reared its ugly head. The rigid caste system quickly led to class envy and great inequality among the masses. Despite Alpha Trionâs insistence in changing this system, Nova Prime ego wouldnât allow him to admit his prejudice. As space travel was fully realized and Nova set out to discover new worlds to colonize, his pride at his speciesâ accomplishments leading him down the road of becoming a cybertronian supremacist, a terrible discovery was made. During the first great battle between Primus and Unicron, their blood splashed across the galaxy. Not only were energon crystals (formed from Primusâ blood) found on foreign worlds, but the blood of Unicron was discovered as well. Before he realized what it was, dark energon infected Nova Prime and a number of his crew. They became more aggressive, burned through their energon at an alarming rate, and began to hear whispers of a dark god thought to be dead. Despite his smugness and stubbornness, Nova knew what terrible things could happen if he became Unicronâs herald. The corrupted prime gave up the matrix to the unaffected cybertronians in his crew, took those who were infected and went into deep space in self-exile. âą The Golden Age: The next cybertronian to own the Matrix was Nominus Prime. Although he was overly invested in his personal appearance/hygiene and was somewhat of an elitist snob, he also possessed a good moral framework and a kind spark. His first major act as prime was the elimination of functionism, making him both beloved and hated by many. Not long after, the cybertronian race began to colonize worlds with the strict policy of not claiming worlds with significant life on them. Seemingly every new colony world produced new subcultures and different kinds of cybertronian. Although Nominus arguably just piggybacked off of other leaders and inventors, this was an age of artistry and prosperity.
Age of Rust: Seemingly out of nowhere, a slow acting but fast spreading disease began to appear across the farthest colony worlds named cosmic rust. Metal skyscrapers began to crumble, citizens were falling apart in medical beds, space bridges were forced to shut down to stop the rust from spreading. This was the first major disaster that Nominus Prime had to face and he was utterly mortified. Then, when all hope of saving the colonie and their species was lost, a strange race of techno-organics appeared. These beings were the quintessons, five faced octopus like people who claimed to be the creation of one of the thirteen prime to aid cybertronians in understanding the organic side of the galaxy. They offered a cure to cosmic rust and asked to use the space bridges to help spread the cure. Desperate to end this nightmare, Nominus gave them access to the space bridges without question. Almost immediately, he would regret this decision. These were not benevolent geniuses, but black hearted and capitalistic entrepreneurs. Not only were they the ones who invented cosmic rust, but they had created a great number of gadgets, combat drones and weapons specifically designed to annihilate cybertronians. In the blink of an eye, the whole of the cybertronian race was conquered and enslaved. Nominus was publicly executed, the matrix was taken, and the cybertronians were sold as commercial goods or military hardware to all other species in the galaxy. This would go on for thousands of years, until a hardened soldier named U-Haul began to lead a rebellion with the aid of Alpha Trion and a brilliant engineer named Termagax. The cybertronian uprising was slow and bloody, but through cleverness and determination the quintessons were defeated. The matrix was found, U-Haul had become Sentinel Prime, and the cybertronian race was free.
Age of Restraint: When the dust settled and the quintessons were driven away from the colony worlds, Sentinel Prime and Termagax went to work on rebuilding their civilization. Sentinel, having seen their kindâs technological power used against lesser beings firsthand, initiated the Nominus Edict. Unless there was unanimous agreement of every senator of Cybertronâs cities and other colony worlds, no new colonies would be made, and no technology was to be shared with other alien races. While he had the wellbeing of both his race and all other alien species in mind, his time as both slave soldier of the quintessons and uprising leader left him scarred and paranoid. Through the cybertronian government, he enforced the law to a borderline imperious degree. Termagax grew to resent Sentinal Prime, believing that the cybertronian race could thrive in the galaxy if they werenât so restricted. She formed the Ascenticon movement, a growing group of bots who not only wanted to explore the cosmos but cooperate with the organic races that theyâve distanced themselves from. This philosophical debate between security and isolation vs freedom and alien collaboration went on for dacades, neither side quite gaining significant ground over the other. Eventually, the exhausted and embittered Termagax stepped down as Ascenticon leader and gave the reigns to her protĂ©gĂ©. That protĂ©gĂ© was a quintesson mining slave turned gladiatorial champion named Megatron, who had big plans of his own.
Age of Civil War: Not long after becoming leader of the Ascenticons, Megatron began to fully preach his personal doctrine. He believed that the cybertronian race deceived themselves into believing that they shouldnât be proud of their power. The gladiator fear mongered that another species like the quintessons would conquer them if they didnât show their dominance. True galactic peace can only be achieved through tyranny. Many cybertronians, in the ascenticon movement and beyond, were radicalized by Megatronâs words of might making right. In short time, Megatron amassed an army and called his new empire the decepticons. The mad tyrant and his followers overthrew the government and imprisoned Sentinel Prime. But much to Megatronâs surprise, the matrix did not deem him worthy of being a prime. He angrily dismissed the matrix and the lineage of primes as outdated and weak as his empire rapidly grew. Alpha Trion, sneakily taking the matrix back, set to work on creating a counter resistance to this new militaristic regime. The elderly prime already had a perfect candidate for the next prime; a former ascenticon who disavowed Megatronâs violent means of peacekeeping despite once being friends with him. A young data clerk named Orion Pax, who believed Cybertron had a responsibility to aid to those who needed it, and that freedom was the right of all sentient beings. And so, Optimus Prime was born. This counter resistance, named the autobots, grew arguably faster than the decepticons did. Cybertronians across the galaxy could see Megatron for the warmongering tyrant that he is. The civil war, waging primarily on Cybertron, lasted for eons. It all culminated in Megatron seizing Vector Sigma, a supercomputer near the well of all sparks that gave newly formed cybertronians the basic history and knowledge of their kind. The decepticon leader planned to hack Vector Sigma to forcibly program his beliefs into every new cybertronian to be protoformed. Horrified by this assault against free will, Optimus journeyed to the core of Cybertron to do something unthinkable. Through communication with Primus, the great creator poured his life-giving power into a device known as the all spark. Optimus threw the all spark into a space bridge with randomized coordinance, and it was lost to the stars. Their home planet torn apart and essentially dead, the Great War began to spread across the galaxy like wildfire. Earth, rich with crystallized energon beneath the surface, is the latest battleground.
Age of Beast Machines (possible future): Manipulating Megatron through dark energon, Unicron is revived. The very first planet destroyed is Cybertron with his new herald Galvatron and an army of terracons. The chaos killer goes on a galactic rampage, consuming stars/planets and creating heralds to spread his influence. Scrambling to save the galaxy, the remaining autobots and decepticons join forces in an effort to slay Unicron. Against all odds, they defeat the chaos killer once and for all. But their victory is bittersweet. The galaxyâs remaining stars and worlds are few and far between. The night skies feel unnaturally blackened. Their war now made pointless, the remaining cybertronians join together in rebuilding on the planet earth and the one surviving colony world known as biosfera. With virtually no energon left, the first order of business was to create a new type of fuel. The scientists of biosera, a jungle world primarily made up of beast mode cybertronians, came up with an unorthodox solution. They would alter their biology and transform into a techno-organic race, flesh and metal fused at the cellular level. Through this technology, theyâd be able to live off of solar energy, need minimal energon, and even be able to consume meat and plants for substance. While a good number were hesitant to make such a radical change, they had little choice. Slowly, the cybertronian race flourished once again. Once new generations were protoformed, two sections of one government began to spread across the stars. One group was the Maximals, scientists and explorers that aided young civilizations and researched the new galaxy. The other group were the predacons, the core military that fought off space pirates and crushed growing dictatorships. Although the two groups bickered amongst themselves over their clashing ideologies and methods, they still cooperated and respected each other. But rumors are circulating that a small handful of Unicronâs heralds are still alive. If they are, their willing to bend space and time itself to assure their fallen masterâs ultimate victory.
Notes: This lore is a combination of Aligned, both IDW continuities, Beast Wars/Machines and a dash of Last Autobot Standing. One major difference is that Solus Prime survives in this continuity, but weâll get to that in the next part.

Your curse geto au is really cool!
2 Questions: do mimiko and nanako still die in it? And what would the reunion be like if they meet curse geto by gojo?
Thank you! Iâm glad you like it!
To answer the first question; yes, the twins still die. Ultimately, their death had nothing to do with Gojo (technically) nor curse Geto. Kenjaku still inhabits the body of Geto, so they would still ask sukuna for help. While on one hand, this may seem sad as hell that Iâm still letting them die, they at least get to be with Geto⊠once curse Geto is exorcised.
For the second question, Iâm not entirely sure. I think they would be in a rollercoaster of emotions from seeing Gojo. But then also finding out that he cursed their father I think would destroy them. Maybe it would also be after Kenjaku has taken Getoâs body? Or thereâs also the possibility that Gojo would have wanted to avoid them all together to save them the heartbreak that this man that they loved like a father was now the curse connected to the man they possibly hated the most (at least from gojoâs perspective). Little does he knowâŠ
Say they did meet hypothetically? I think they would be angry and very heartbroken⊠but would also probably understand once Gojo explained that he and Geto used to be âextremely closeâ, and that he ended up letting his grief get the better of him. He would tell them that he never wanted to curse Geto, despite Geto implying or straight up asking Gojo to do it. Gojoâs not the type to let himself be vulnerable in front of other people, but he understands that these two girls were probably Getoâs adoptive daughters, due to their age and how close they were to him, and that he owes them at least that much. They still wouldnât be very happy about it still, but would accept that these things can happen because they saw it with their own eyes with Yuta. As well, with the context that Gojo and Geto (from both of their words) were particularly close, it doesnât take a rocket scientist to realise that they were more than just best friends. (Listen Geto may be able to act and lie, but Gojo is too fruity and too heartbroken for his own good.)
As for how it would happen? Gojo, in the first few months of having curse Geto, would want to avoid a lot of public spaces because of Getoâs aggression towards non-sorcerers. He⊠hates not going into the city, but itâs the best thing to make sure Geto doesnât attack anyone. Plus, Japanese cities are extremely crowded. Especially Tokyo. He would not want to risk that until he had Geto until full control. So I imagine they would end up meeting when Gojo could be sniffing around (maybe literally đ) the places Geto was. Maybe to piece together what was going on in Getoâs mind still after 10 years, or to see how curse Geto reacts and feels about them. That would probably be where he bumps into Nanako and Mimiko. Curse Geto gives off the same âdreadful feelingâ that Rika does to sorcerers when Gojo steps into a room or vice versa, so when the twins find him they would probably be quite alarmed and/or scared. Gojo himself would be very panicked because he didnât expect to see anyone or for anyone to see him. But after Gojo sees them and tries to back away, curse Geto reveals himself. This would surprise Gojo, and startle the twins. Geto would be very fond of the twins, immediately smiling, but Gojo is just panicking over the fact that curse Geto let himself out without Gojo calling upon him IN FRONT OF OTHER PEOPLE. But after angry and heartbroken accusations being thrown at Gojo, Gojo finally would get a moment to explain.
Afterwards! Gojo would probably offer to give his number to them to keep in some sort of contact with him, but they would decline. At this point, Kenjaku is about in Getoâs body and they donât want to put Gojo at risk or in danger just because they got his number. Afterwards, Gojo would probably whizz off straight to Jujutsu Tech BUT Kenjaku would be the one popping his head in to see where the twins were. That is probably how he ended up finding out about curse Geto, because of the residuals that curse Geto left behind (which would be another reason why Gojo was freaking out, because he can control his own residuals but not curse Getoâs). In my comic where Kenjaku meets Curse Geto, he is not âshockedâ or âsurprisedâ, instead he is fascinated. I originally didnât have a reason for him for him to be fascinated instead of shocked but I think this would be a good reason? He already knew about C!Geto from the twins - which, by the way, I think they would have only told him out of fear. Kenjaku is a dangerous individual, and is especially dangerous in the body of Geto. He does not carry any sort of sympathy for these girls and probably would kill them if given reason to, but the girls want to give Geto his body back. With curse Geto existed, they donât know if thatâs entirely possible now but they still want to keep up hope that it is.
Idk maybe I do make this canon. I hope that helps! I did not mean to borderline make a fanfic but here we are lmao

No one asked me, but here's why Childe Ajax Tartaglia probably isn't 34
To preface this, no, I have not read the 4.2 story leaks, I have no plans to, and frankly, I don't care what they say as they do not change the following math. It could literally say point-blank that Childe is 34, and I would not agree with it.
I'm just here cause I found the 14+20 argument illogical. (14 being the age he fell into the abyss and 20 being the number of years ago that the disappearances started in Fontaine)
And a fair warning, I am bad at reading what my tone is unless it is blatant. If any of this sounds hostile, it was not my intent, and I am likely unaware that it reads as such. This is just how I write when I am trying to be as clear and understandable as possible.
So, why is it unlikely that Childe is 34? It's because of his mother and his number of siblings.
Childe has 3 named younger siblings and an unknown number of older siblings. 2 being the bare minimum and at least 3 being the more probable based on the original Chinese. And, because Chinese is not something I know how to translate correctly beyond a basic level, here's the copy/paste directly from the wiki explaining why Childe most likely has at least 3 older siblings.
As noted above, the Chinese version of "Tartaglia's Letters to Home" mentions ć„ć„ć§ć§ä»Ź "older brother(s) and sister(s)," suggesting he has at least one of each. In "Character Story 5", he is called the äžć "third son," which suggests that he has two older brothers and an unknown number of older sisters. Alternatively, the term äžć "third son" could be ambiguous and indicate that he is the third child with two older siblings of unspecified gender. Combined with the clue from his letter to home, this would suggest he has one older brother and one older sister, but this possibility is less likely given the interpretation of the original Chinese. His phrasing of ć„ć„ć§ć§ä»Ź, with the plural marker 仏, would be an unlikely way to refer to a single older brother and a single older sister; it instead suggests he has more than one of either older brothers or older sisters (or both). If he only had one of each, he most likely would have simply written ć„ć„ć§ć§ without the plural marker. Therefore, the most likely possibility is still that he has two older brothers and at least one older sister.
Now, time for the math featuring hypothetical ages for Childe's siblings and mother. To be generous, I will be using ages at the extreme ends of the possible ranges, favoring the ends that make it more possible for Childe to be 34, saying that he has exactly 3 older siblings, that none of them were twins, and while also taking into consideration their mother's health and wellbeing.
First, we have to determine how old those 3 older siblings are. I will be giving each a 2.5ish-year age gap, as it is suggested that someone wait 18-24 months before becoming pregnant again. So for our hypothetical math, I'll say the oldest sibling is 40.
For their mother, I'll be going with 18 as the age she had her first child. (This is as low as I am willing to go; personally, I think this number should be at least 20, if not higher.)
So, for her to have a 40-year-old child, she currently would be 58.
But we're not done; we have the 3 younger siblings to add. To simplify things, I will only focus on Tuecer since he is the youngest, so his age is the only one that matters. The general consensus (that I also agree with) is that Tuecer is somewhere between the ages of 8-12; I will be using 12.
At 58, their mother then would have been 46 when she had Tuecer.
While this is not impossible, at this age, their mother is 6 years into the potential range of beginning menopause and has an extremely low rate of 3-4% at most of successfully becoming pregnant.
This is incredibly low and is the youngest their mother could be if we set Childe's age to 34 without endangering her health.
Their mother's age if Childe is 10 years younger? 48, setting her at 36 when she would have hypothetically had Tuecer and outside of the potential onset of menopause and that 3-4% rate of pregnancy occurring.
So, statistically speaking, it is incredibly unlikely that Childe is 34; thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
#jordans bitching again#genshin impact#childe#tartaglia#ajax#hi i brought sources#medical sources to be precise#yes that is how badly the âAjax is 34â thing bothers me#oh and also direct translations of the original text i brought those too#and for reference i think he is 21 or 22 but that's just me#think what you want regardless of this post#but like i said before this bothered me a lot so i wanted to air my thoughts out to hopefully make me less hung up on it#will it work? who the fuck knows

Iâve always been a fan of the Hamlet Sr and Claudius are identical twins for a few reasons (one, the hypocrisy of HJr when comparing the two, and two, in the months following his fatherâs death, HJr might occasionally turn a corner or catch a glimpse and for a moment, think he sees someone else. and then after the quick realisation that itâs Claudius, hate Claudius more for these moments. he swears the two of them are not identical to him. the difference is glaringly obvious. Hyperion to a Satyr. but although he denies it, his heart has almost stopped one too many times at the sight of someone he mistook for his father)
but Iâd like you all to also consider, in a visual adaptation (I like to imagine an animated mini-series) of the play, the only difference between HSr and Claudius is that Claudius has a large, un-ignorable scar across the right side of his face. Doesnât have to be explained, doesnât have to be like intensely detailed or a horrible near-gaping wound or anything, just a noticeable scar across his right eye, perhaps. An easy identifier. If you were to approach him from the left, or even if you werenât paying attention, still quite possible to mistake him for his better. (And well, perhaps a Lion King reference if you will).
Hamlet (Jr) canât help but almost fixate on this scar. Itâs bad enough as it is that it looks like he could be Claudiusâs son, so heâs drawn to what sets them apart. What sets his father and him apart. Even if he wonât admit it, itâs practically the only difference between the image of his father and the image of this vile, incestuous murderer. It sticks out to him. It leers at him; itâs the difference between the idolised good and damned evil in his mind. It might re-contextualise some of the things he says, but itâs not like he hasnât been nasty to other types of people (like women) before.
Letïżœïżœs say he ends up in, I donât know, some kind of fencing match. One where his opponent wields a blade secretly sharpened past whatâs safe, for the sake of this hypothetical. If this opponent had the intent to wound him, and hadnât had luck in the actual fencing part of duel for the past two rounds, he might be tempted to strike at Hamlet while he was unaware, and not facing him. But if Hamlet, upon hearing something slice through the air behind him, turned around; well, he might be a little too late to stop the bladeâs interception, but he might be able stop the rapier from wounding his shoulder by unknowingly shielding it with his face.
And if the blade were to make contact, and one of his eyes were to go red as blood leaked into it from a fresh wound, a shallow but clean slice lengthwise along the right side, he might have a number of things running through his mind. Pain, blinding anger, shock, realisation. He might hear Horatioâs gasp from somewhere nearby, which he could take as a sign that it looked bad-
If he didnât already know exactly how it looked. What he looked like.
Who he looked like.
#nay come again#hamlet#hamletposting#hamlet and laertes my favourite narrative foils#laertes being the one to give him the scar#because hamlet is to laertes what claudius was to him#king claudius#laertes#shakespeare

This is one of my hypotheticals, with the caveat that the thought of Jaune and Cinder with anybody else makes me cry and throw things - but I can put it aside for a moment.
So you all don't see the sort of stuff I get in my inbox, and before Tumblr changed its rules there was someone who left a lot of spam about Jaune/Ruby. I hope he's okay after Volume 9. But the irony of it, of course, is that he viewed me as an enemy when Jaune/Ruby - with the stipulation of developing the Penny Problem properly, which they didn't (for the purposes of romance, I mean) - is the only other plausible Jaune ship I think I could tolerate in canon.
That's partly because Cinder-Ruby and Jaune-Oscar are twinned already - the first two even more prominently, but Jaune/Cinder and Ruby/Oscar are effectively edgy and light versions of each other as pairings - and partly because it avoids that gross replacement goldfish implication of Pyrrha warming Weiss' spot. I also like the development of their interactions generally, and if you leant in a much darker direction (like the Ruby/Oscar relationship necessitates at some point) with Jaune in particular then it could be made to work.
It wouldn't and couldn't be classic guy-gets-girl, foregone conclusion from the minute they meet type stuff - I think to be tonally true it has to be playful like the other canon pairings, in a bittersweet fashion. Blake/Yang and Ren/Nora both go in unlikely directions; Jaune/Ruby would need to be a similar case. But the interesting thing is that as much as I'm attached to Jaune/Cinder (OTP for life, my favouritest ship to ever ship, the ship I have been searching for all of my life), I am partly attached to it because of the way R/WBY conceives of romance, and I'm making an argument for it on the basis of R/WBY, not on the sole basis of my personal desires and preferences. That would mean that if they wrote Jaune/Ruby well, it's probably the only other pairing for them both that could actually be done... well, without completely losing the plot tonally and thematically. But then you start crunching the numbers with both Oscar and Cinder and we're kind of up shit creek structurally. But if you went into writing R/WBY with the intention of keeping the character arcs for both Jaune and Ruby mostly as-is, it's almost applicable. Almost!
But it's not really because it's cute or because it meets the bland conception of romance which is guy and girl look at each other and boink. It actually has to be an actual experience of romantic love and realise their character arcs and narrative role in the story.... similarly to Jaune/Cinder and Ruby/Oscar, it would have to be a slow-burn and basically seem impossible for a long time, especially with The Penny Problem. Actually, when you think about it, The Penny Problem basically had the potential to be what The Pyrrha Problem was for Jaune/Cinder, but if you're rewriting this for Jaune/Ruby you'd have to rewrite that, too. But it does tickle me that Jaune and Cinder are alike that way.
Now - spitting the dummy aside about the implication of Jaune and Cinder not ending up together - I do find it funny that I had so many asks about Jaune/Ruby (there were legions of them in response to multiple posts I had made about Knightfall, suggesting somebody was very upset and anxiously awaiting my response) when like, yeah I think if you tilted your head it might have once been possible. I don't think it is at all or was ever intended as such - and certainly not for the reasons this aggrieved individual believed - but don't ever think I'm not trying to give credit where it's due. I'm willing to entertain the other side... on my own terms when people aren't being annoying. (:
But ironically the similarities of Jaune/Ruby to Jaune/Cinder (and Ruby/Oscar by extension) actually kind of justifies by extension the reading of those pairings. Because Jaune/Cinder is on crack and edgy and fun and the Jaune-Ruby friendship clearly sets up part of its drama (and emotion). Which is why I love making a case like this, because it makes me reconsider canon and reconsider my position on the pairings I think are going to be canon. I don't ship Ruby/Oscar (not yet at least) and I think considering why Jaune/Ruby could conceivably work teases out why Ruby/Oscar conceivably can work - if it goes the direction Penny couldn't - and that Jaune and Oscar are similar in that the romance with either of them, and especially the latter, has to be divorced from the schools in some way, and Ruby's sense of Huntressing and related to something deeply personal.
Anyway Jaune/Cinder 4 lyfe.

Did Going to Seed answer the question?
So after seeing Going to Seed once more, I came to a realization: it's been a hundred moons since the last Confluence. This is based on two statements: Applejack saying it is a hundred moons in the making and Granny Smith saying the last Confluence was when Applejack trapped herself when hunting for the Great Seedlinâ. That means it's been a hundred moons since Apple Bloom was a baby to being as old as she is now.
Now since Apple Bloom was a baby during the first one, that means she was likely at least a year old taking into account Flurry Heart and the Cake Twins moving as well as they were in that episode. Now how old is Apple Bloom now? We donât know. But letâs assume sheâs as old as her Equestria Girls self. And since she is in High School sheâs most likely a Freshman. So possibly 14 to 15 years old.
Using even numbers, one hundred moons means 14 years has passed since Apple Bloom was 1 in the first Confluence to 15 in the current. But how long is a moon? If you divide 14 years by 100 moons, that means every moon is 0.14 years. Thatâs 51.1 days, almost double a normal Lunar Cycle of 29 or 30 days. Of course, if Pony Apple Bloom was 9 that would be an 8 year difference, which makes it 0.08 years per moon or 29.2 days, which is closer to a Lunar Cycle.
Of course, thereâs a big issue with this. You know what is also a hundred moons in the making? The Apple Family Reunion. They have had two of them since the series happened and it's not like everyone grew 8 or 14 years since then. So letâs assume Applejack was being hypothetical about it being specifically a hundred moons for the Confluence. Using the Apple Family Reunion and assuming it happens every year, thatâs 3.65 days per moon. So letâs take a look at other specific mentions of Moons.Â
Discord planted his seed thousands of moons ago, and that was before a thousand years passed between Nightmare Moonâs imprisonment and release. And according to Megan, it's been 6 moons since the first EQ movie and Meghan McCarthy. It has been a millennia since the Pillars left, which would be a thousand years, but this is egotistical Starswirl who probably didnât know the exact time between imprisonment and now. And according to Granny Smith, a Ponyville snail can hibernate for up to forty-eight moons.Â
So there are three theories: a Moon is 3.65 days (assuming a reunion happens every year), 22.81 days (assuming the Equestrian Snail hibernates as long as some real life snails) or 29-30 days (using the Real Lunar Cycle)
Moon = 1 Moon | 3.65 Days | 22.81 Days | 29 Days | 30 Days
Reunion = 100Â Moons | 1 Year | 6.25 Years | 7.95 Years | 8.22 Years
Rainbow Rocks = 6 Moons | 21.9 Days | 4.5 Months | 5.72 Months | 5.91 Months
Snail = 48 Moons | 5.76 Months | 3 Years | 3.81 Years | 3.95 Years
If you consider Applejack saying 100 Moons in the making as if they were preparing for the Confluence, I think a moon being 3.65 days is the best option. A month between Equestria Girls and Rainbow Rocks. About 6 months for a Ponyville Snail is around the average that a snail would normally hibernate (4 to 7 months according to a Quora answer). A year between reunions. Hopefully this is the best way to think of it. I hate to find out they start measuring ages by moons...

đ with your death by taxes s/i? Or for the other game you've been talking about (apologize I forgot the name....)
thank you!! [claps my hands and rubs them together] im feeling Always In That Damn Time Loop and also extremely nefarious so i'm going to do...both >:)
so for my dnt s/i Charlie:
so they're the twin sibling of the Prime Curator of the Abysmal Archive, and as such they're roughly contemporaries with Fate despite looking less...seasoned. the three of them were friends, back in the early days of the Office. but then Charlie (then known as Vice Curator Charlemagne) disappeared unexpectedly and while that wasn't the sole reason Fate kind of...withdrew, it was definitely part of it
when the player encounters them they work as Mortimer's shop assistant (the boatswain to the quartermaster) and are the voice on the other end of a phone number that gives hints on how best to proceed in order to get the ending they want (in a hypothetical game, this would only be accessible in a ng+, as would Charlie as a character). they're aware of the time loop thanks to finding something at the heart of the archive during their time there, and through circumstances they don't remember that awareness cost them an eye.
i will say something that i've never said about them before though: Fate does know what happened to their eye.
and then my outer wilds s/is Tourmaline and Zircon share a lore dump bc their stories are so entwined:
it's basically impossible to tell if they're actually related biologically but they are basically adoptive siblings. Zircon had been an apprentice of sorts to the town gardener Diorite (the way Timber Hearth is structured doesn't really allow for large-scale farming without major terraforming and i feel like the Interloper rupturing also significantly reduced the amount of edible plants available to cultivate but garden plots with root vegetables and tubers are still possible) and was about 11-12 when Tourmaline hatched. for reasons i have not yet figured out Tourmaline had to stay with Diorite for a while shortly after they hatched...and then Diorite suddenly passed away when Zircon was 13-14 and Tourmaline was approximately two. it was an accident of some sort. Zircon was wrecked, Tourmaline didn't fully understand what was going on but knew that their favorite adult was gone and wasn't coming back, and the two were practically inseparable from that point on.
i dont have the full specifics between then and now at the ready but i do know that Zircon is still the town gardener by the time the game takes place and their botany skills are the reason the "emergency saplings" the astronauts have can grow fast enough to refill their oxygen, while Tourmaline attended the opening of Hornfels's museum and knew from that moment they wanted to be an astronaut. they signed up for cadet training as soon as they were old enough.

This is a sheet of pot entail choices for the single cover for Gemini. I thought that 6 would be a good round number for this small of a project and is more intent than I put into previous commissions that were done solely for friends who needed art done. I went with a wide variety of looks for the simple and, all be it quite lacking, suggestion of, âSo kind of a galaxy With an eye or something your free to do it how you want bit something to do with the Gemini galaxy would be good.â Now, while it is quite annoying not knowing a more refined and detailed approach, it is a joy to not be restricted, and it seemed they wanted me to do the brunt of the work for myself seeing it better to leave the artistic vision to the artist, which is quite nice.
The top two were the most close to what they asked but in two respects. The left one is an eye in the middle of a crudely drawn galaxy, as I didnât want to was an exuberant amount of time of these hypotheticals. The right one has an eye with a galaxy within it, this one was far better made, with me wanting to exude a sense of grace and power with it, physically looking down on the stars themselves, with the name wandering in from underneath.
The second row were far more experimental, starting with the left, I made the eyes a cosmic entity in a similar feel to a far off galaxy composed entirely of eyes and maws, like a lovecraftian monstrosity slogging through reality. The one to the right of it is a set of two people based on the Gemini constellation being the Twins, so I drew it with them bringing one another in while surrounded by gazing eyes who peer at them, just as we do.
And, Finally, on the bottom most row are the most deterrent from the original basis. The bottom left is of an organic structure, I wanted to make it due to the alien nature it exhumes, its mechanical and stones appearance, well detailed by unknown hands and tendon like attachments outside that give it an uncanny organic look, blurring the line of if it is alive, with two eyes inside accompanying the title track. It is also in the appearance of the Gemini symbol that is used excessively in the previous works being used in the eyes. and to its right is a bizarre piece, ill be frank and say that I didnât have a clue what it was going to be, but it turned out alright, depicting a weird older fellow accompanied by a Gemini orb. this one is probably my least liked.
I sent them through, but, annoyingly, they are out of class at the moment, meaning I will have to wait for them to group up to discuss, however the member I am in communications with had this to say. âwith the bottom middle i like a lot of the more subtle complexities and patters within the shape as i felt like it gives it a texture to the piece and i think the use of shapes and depth is also good with that one. with the middle left i just like the monstrous them and it provides a david bowie esc thing to my mind and the top right i like the simplicity of the object but the complexities within the eye itself i also like the colours used within.

you know the whole mostly joking idea ahaha number two is mabel pines bc âsame actress lolâ/etc.? literally want to write a fic of this JUST so there can be a scene pre-canon wherein number two is telling mr benedict about a fight she had with her brother or something along those lines, and he says something like i understand, number two, all soft and sad, and she kinda snaps a bit and is like no, with all due respect, you DON'T understand, you don't have a twin. .....only to see the most stricken heartbroken look cross his face and have an oh shit momentÂ
+ her being like wait one fucking second. if i had a nickel for every time my vaguely father like/older male familial figure had a secret long-lost twin he hadn't seen in thirty years after something happened that separated them that he blames himself entirely for, i'd have two nickels, but it's WILD that that happened twice right??????????? what the fuck???????????????
#mbs disney#nicholas benedict#mr. benedict#number two#mabel pines#tmbs#the mysterious benedict society#also just generally when she first becomes part of the team or whenever she like#tells them about her brother#hes just like. o..oh. you . you have a twin#or like lgkjgkjfgh they find out he has a secret twin and shes all offended#and then remembers#wait. shit. she ALSO has a secret twin#what are the odds of that#number two: so. hypothetically if i also had a twin--#rhonda: WHAT THE FUCK#anyway i just love the trope of liek#'no you DONT understand you [havent x/dont x/whatever]' and then just#stricken heartbroken silence as abruptly they realize that they have! in fact! x!#ouch ouch ouch#or hes stricken but like. shes too upset to notice#and finally just.#softly. hesitantly. he says like.#i... i havent seen my twin in a long time#and her head jerks up#bc it's too painful to speak of it always has been but to help one of his friends?#his family?#it's worth the pain.#oooooof#also it is very funny if she was mabel bc what are THE ODDS

Bnha au idea where they have to actually write down who they would prefer to partner with should a "fuck or die" quirk incident happen, before resorting to professional intervention. Because look, quirks are already so fucking weird, and being a hero puts you in the path for some ridiculous shit. Redundant and hopefully unnecessary paperwork defining hypothetical situations like that makes SENSE!
(There's the random person with nurse training who has gone through extra training/psychological evaluations to be certified for medically necessary sex if the person doesn't have anyone on their list/no-one on their list agreed)
This would also be a situation where the quirk is more just "unreasonably boosting existing libido" so ace people can't be affected (or kids, cause no. But that DOES need to be clarified I think)
Anyways it kinda comes back to my enjoyment of the mutual pining where they aren't ever going to do anything unless actually pushed into it, but wanting actual consent to be a thing that happens.
Would be a fun AiDeku idea, just one of the two of them getting affecting by a fuck or die quirk and the reveal that they are the others first choice for a partner. Would be very fun if it was like, pro-hero Deku who got hit with it and the nursing staff is just like "who the FUCK is this Aizawa person?!?" And then Aizawa shows up a whole-ass exhausted hobo man who's a fucking mess and they are like "This is him? THIS!!! Deku get some STANDARDS PLEASE!!!"
Not gonna lie, I read the very first sentence of this and my mind immediately went AiDeku AU so it's nice to see we're on the same general wavelength. SO here we go again!:
The Emergency Intimacy Contact (EIC for short) has been a long-standing tradition in heroics. It was drafted into the official paperwork required by all heroes regardless of public standing since the villain Cupid had rained quirk-enhanced arrows down on the heroes of Tokyo a couple decades before.
(The fall out had seen the entire Heroes Wing of Tokyo General turned into what was, essentially, a giant orgy that had resulted in several divorces, the formation of a number of new couples and throuples, a handful of shotgun weddings, and the birth of two sets of very very spoiled twins the following year.)
Making sure one has their EIC filled out is a serious and important part of setting their affairs in order when embarking on such a dangerous career as professional heroics.
Which means, of course, that barely anyone takes it seriously these days.
Spouses and partners are, of course, commonly jotted down for heroes who are in committed relationships with no interest in straying. Others write down close and trusted friends.
But there's a rather large portion of modern heroes who use their EIC as a sort of "fantasy bid" or even as their "one exception" with a more serious aka realistic EIC written down as a backup.
And since consent has to be had from both parties whenever an EIC is enacted no one really bothers to police who is and isn't put down.
"Take it seriously," Toshinori had always warned Izuku. "If you don't choose wisely and you ever need it ,,, friendships have been ruined over less."
There's a wealth of things there that Toshinori had never fully explained but Izuku had been able to put the pieces together easily enough. All Might and Sir Nighteye's fall out had been rather famous after all and had actually started the year before Toshinori had been so grievously injured.
Izuku had debated over who to put down as his EIC when he'd first had to fill them out. At the time, freshly debuted as a pro and still pretty much alone, he'd had no real options no matter how unappealing the alternatives, sedation and/or a trained professional stepping in if necessary, had seemed.
But now, years later and with the form renewals having come around for the year, a part of him is thrilled that he might actually have choices these days.
It really is a wonder, the things that friends can come in handy for.
Getting arrested with Hitoshi that one time and then meeting and being rather forcefully adopted by the majority of his UA class really was one of the better things to ever happen to Izuku.
But still, choosing which of his friends to ask something like this from has been proving to be almost equally as difficult.
"Come on Zu," Hitoshi huffs from his places sprawled out on the floor, "it's not that difficult."
"Is too," Izuku refuses to admit he might whine just a bit.
"It's really not," Ochako chimes in from where she's nestled between Tenya and Tsu.
"People with two partners don't get to speak," Denki chimes in then.
"~Jeal~ous~," Ochako practically sings, expression smug.
"Just do what the rest of us single people are doing," Denki waves Ochako off with a rude hand gesture. "Put down whoever you think is the hottest hero you wouldn't mind getting hot and heavy with. I, for example, have put down our very own Enigma."
"Sucks to be you," Hitoshi pipes up then, "cause I put down Hawks."
"I'm at least your second choice right?" Denki practically pleads.
"Zu's my second choice," Hitoshi immediately shoots him down.
"Hitoshi!" Izuku sputters just a bit.
"Zu, broccoli boy, the sunshine of my dark life," Hitoshi rolls his head enough to look up at him, "if you're not the first or second choice of at least half the people in this room alone I'll eat my capture scarf."
There's suddenly a lot of people very pointedly not looking in Izuku's direction.
Izuku can't help but wish he'd taken an extra patrol like Shouto did if only to have escaped this conversation before it ever happened.
"Seriously though," Hitoshi continues. "Just pick. Pick a friend or, like Denki said, pick someone unrealistic but hot that you wouldn't mind getting railed by."
Teeth chewing at his bottom lip, Izuku bobs his head in acknowledgment and turns his attention back towards his paperwork.
In the end he ends up filling the three blanks that have been provided out backward. His third spot is taken by Shouto and his second by Hitoshi.
They're two of his closest friends these days and neither of them is in a relationship like Tenya, Ochako, and Tsu are. No matter how hard Denki keeps trying to change that where Hitoshi is concerned.
But when it comes to that number one spot ,,,
Well Izuku suddenly can't get Denki and Hitoshi's suggestion out of his head.
Someone hot. Someone sexy but generally unrealistic.
A fantasy pick.
When Izuku thinks about getting absolutely railed as Hitoshi put it, there's really only one name that comes to mind.
Izuku only hesitates for a few more seconds before he finally breaks and fills in the final blank.
Hopefully the occasion will never come where Izuku has to explain to his entire friend group that his fantasy pick is the infamous Demon-sensei that still haunts the majority of their nightmares.
Besides, it's not like the Eraserhead would ever actually agree to help him out if Izuku did have to call in his EIC.
Six months later and Izuku will look back on this moment and cringe.

NOTES (!) sorry for taking so long to update </3 school be kicking my ass. anyway here they are! an idiot couple. lmk what u think!!
[ masterlist ]Â
In the past, whenever something had bothered you, the first person you ran to was Jungkook. Low grades, fights with your parents, boy dramaâ as your best friend and number one confidant, Jungkook was always your first choice. He was always willing to lend you a shoulder to cry on, even if that meant staining his white t-shirts with streaks of your mascara. He was always ready to go beat up a mean boy who had hurt your feelings during lunch, even if heâd miss his favorite special. And he was always down for some good old fashion i hate my parents ranting, even if he adored your parents. He was a great listener, an even better best friend, and had rightfully won you over from a very young age.Â
That being said, how were you supposed to talk to Jungkook about something that bothered you when that something was him?Â
You could easily tell any of your numerous girl friends, those of which would probably understand your predicament better than Jungkook or any man ever could. But after years of vehemently denying any notion of a romantic relationship between the two of you, you get the feeling your call for help will be met with more unimpressed glares than actual assistance. Besides, as much as you bring up Jungkook, none of them really know Jungkook to truly offer you any worthwhile advice.Â
Your next option: Kim Taehyung. Now, Kim Taehyung held a similar background as Jungkook (translation: he also went to the same high school as you). He knows both you and Jungkookâfrankly, more than youâd like him toâso he would be able to dissect the issue easily and offer trustworthy advice. The problem with Kim Taehyung, however, is that aside from knowing you at your embarrassingly dorky teenage prime, he doesnât know how to keep a secret. Anything he knows, Jungkook knows. So if you were to, hypothetically, ask Taehyung for advice on Jungkook, well. Chances are, youâd probably get a rather confused text from Jungkook two minutes later.Â
Which leaves you with one optionâ Park Jimin. Thereâs a reason Park Jimin isnât your first option, and that reason presents itself now as you glare at him from across the empty room. For as long as youâve been in university, Jimin has always lingered around the student council meetings, giving everyone he sees the prettiest, meanest stink-eye. You suspect itâs because he waits around for Min Yoongi, your Vice President (which isnât an issue; Jungkook also frequents student council meetings while waiting for you), and doesnât really care for anyone else. Your problem with Jimin doesnât lie there but rather with the fact heâs adamant on taking up space and not lending so much as a finger to help.Â
Today he is sitting with his feet on the table, dirty volleyball bag tossed on the floor. Heâs watched you for the last fifteen minutes wrestle with the broken copy machine and hasnât said a word since. He pretends he doesnât see you struggling, because if he does, heâd be obligated to help you.Â
To summarize, Park Jimin may be the fastest libero your universityâs volleyball team has seen in years, but heâs a good-for-nothing bum everywhere else.Â
And despite all that, heâs your best choice. Thereâs no one quite as blunt and honest as Park Jimin. Thereâs no one in this world who truly doesnât care enough about anyoneâs problems to gossip about them as Park Jimin. You plop down beside him, rumpled papers in hand. Without warning, you jump straight into it. âJungkook is going to take my virginity,â you announce, like itâs the most casual thing in the world. If any of your fellow student council members heard you, youâre certain youâd shrivel up and die.Â
Jimin hums. âThatâs nice.â His eyes donât leave his phone, thumb hovering over his screen. Itâs a testament to how much he truly does not care. His extended silence plants a seed of doubt in youâ was this the right person to tell? you begin to worry. But after a beat, Jiminâs thumb taps against his screen and he says, âJungkook is a virgin.âÂ
You clench your jaw. âI know.âÂ
The thing about Jimin is, with the right wording, you can get him interested in something. Not interested enough to genuinely care, but interested enough to at least listen and offer his own piece of straightforward advice. His thumb comes to a standstill over his phone, eyes momentarily going blank. Itâs a minute gesture, one thatâs taken you four years of paying attention to catch. Just as quickly as it appears, itâs gone. âReally,â Jimin sighs, back to, you now realize, playing CandyCrush on his phone. âYouâre gonna let a virgin take your virginity.â
Not a question, but you nod anyway. âYup.âÂ
Thereâs sweat building on the back of your neck, nerves at an all time high, but youâre trying to play it off. Just a little bit more and you know youâll have caught him. Beside you, Jiminâs jaw twitches.Â
Finally, after what seems like an eternity of trying to act calm, Jimin clicks his phone off and turns to you. Heâs as intimidating as ever, ash blonde hair pushed back today to reveal his forehead and dark eyes. âYouâve known Jungkook was a virgin this whole time?â he asks, has this calculating look in his eyes that makes you feel like youâre being questioned by an officer of the law and not the shortest person on the volleyball team.Â
With a practiced air of nonchalance, you shrug. âI have,â you confess, and itâs the truth.Â
While you may have been initially fooled that night two years ago, you werenât that oblivious. Oh, you knew clear as day that Jeon Jungkook was still a virgin, just as well as you knew that he religiously washed his sheets every weekend or that he had a specific color coded system for his underwear drawer. Jungkook was a fool to try and lie to you, not only because you had found out, but because you had found out that very next morning.Â
It had been subtle. The night at the party, you had watched on with a throbbing heartache as some pretty girl led Jungkook up a set of stairs, had barely fought off a wave of emotion when he returned twenty minutes later, his hair a rumpled mess. âDid you⊠?â you had mumbled, pressed closely against him by the back door. Your eyes had been glassy, from your emotions and from the drunken stupor you had gotten yourself into while he was away, wondering what he was doing. A sense of jealousy you would never admit to had curled around your heart. His hand had landed on your hip then. He smelled like flowers and vanilla, a smell unlike his own. Your heart clenched, hand mindlessly reaching up to cup his jaw, so drunk and heartbroken, you couldnât stop yourself from trailing your fingers along his pretty cheekbones.Â
Jungkook had graced you with a simple nod, and then, âdo you wanna leave now?âÂ
Youâd left, stumbling down Greek road on your way back to his dorm. Jungkook had held your hand the whole way, tucked you into his twin bed, and then promptly knocked out on the floor between his and Taehyungâs beds. The latter was nowhere to be found, wouldnât appear until the next morning when heâd accidentally step on Jungkookâs ankle and wake both of you up.Â
Jungkook had yelped, and your eyes had fluttered open. You remember debating rolling over, checking on him like you wanted to, but Taehyung was already there doing just that. So you had laid still instead, listened as the two boys clattered around the room. They chatted mindlessly, about the party and tomorrowâs practice. Taehyung had been bragging about some girl heâd slept with last night. âWhat about you?â he had asked, and your breath caught in your throat. âDid you andâŠââa pause, the distinct ruffle of fabricââfinally?âÂ
âWhatâ no,â Jungkook had said, and you felt the bed dip as he sat down on the edge beside you.
Taehyung pushed on with a snort. âWell, did you get lucky at all?â
Jungkook groaned, placed one warm hand on your back soothingly. You tried your best to level out your breathing, relaxed your facial expression as you clung to the sound of his voice. âJust a handjob. Some girl I didnât even know. Does that count?â You could hear your heartbeat in your ears, felt it beneath your fingertips when you fisted the sheets.Â
And that curt admission sat in the back of your mind everyday for two years.Â
You turn to Jimin. âIâve known Jungkook was a virgin since he first tried to tell me he wasnât,â you tell him, arms crossed over your chest. âIâm pretty sure everyone knows.â
Jimin lets out a low whistle. âYouâre smarter than I thought,â he grins, this conniving little smile that is a genuine cause for concern. âSo youâre letting him think you donât know?â You nod. Jiminâs smile grows. âMy, my. If I had known you were this evil, maybe we wouldâve hung out more.âÂ
You roll your eyes. âIâm not evil,â you insist, flicking him on the nose. Jimin huffs indignantly. âI think what heâs doing is sweetâŠâ you confess, feel your entire body heat up as you recall that wide-eyed look Jungkook had given you just yesterday afternoon, your kiss print fresh on his cheek. âAnd, well,â you look down at your shoes. âI used to dream about him being my first.âÂ
Jimin groans. âYou two make me sick.â

Chapter Nine
âI don't think I'm getting a good view on this. I'd come down from the ladder but that won't help me when I'm back up here. What do you think from down there? Do I need to move this around a little bit more or do we need to see what it looks like after I hang it up? This is a big area so I wouldn't want to make it look crooked. I think that I could move it a little bit more but I'm not sure. The banners are always the hardest part. I think we could use some more streamers. Those can be less of a headache.â
âCould you move that a little bit to the left? No, not your left, that would be my right. No, that's a little too far. Okay, you've almost got it, just go up a little bit more. Okay. Youâve got it! That looks perfect.âÂ
âYou know, as much as I appreciate your input, it would be nice if we could have somebody else help out, too. I know we're a little bit ahead of schedule but is there any way that you can get the rest of the team out here sooner? I thought that there would be a gap so we could get started early without the rest of the team, but we do need the help here. I know I jumped the gun a little bit but itâs better to be ahead of things!â
âAh, sorry [Y/N]. I'm afraid the rest of the team is busy at the moment on an off-site task. However, I have asked Mr. Han if itâs possible that we can bring on a few workers from outside of the company to tide us over until the official decoration team returns. I believe his notice was sent out not long ago to the appropriate office. I can check and see how that is going.âÂ
âThanks, Miss Kang. I think I need to check out my decor plans while I'm at it. I need to make sure that we have the right orders placed,â you said. You were sure that you had placed what you needed to, but it was possible that you needed to go and double-check everything. There was a specific number of guests that needed to be tended to. You also needed to be sure that any overflow would be taken care of. âIâll be here, let me know if you hear anything.âÂ
Jaehee nodded and headed out of the room to see if there was something that she could do about the workload. It would be a few minutes so you knew that you could work. You appreciated that she was helping out more than she needed to. Though, Jumin had suggested that she help you out for the time being as her main assignment watching over Elizabeth wasnât busy during the daytime. Even though she was Jumin Hanâs only personal assistant, she could handle his affairs while juggling a hundred tasks under her belt.Â
The woman needed a break one of these days, honestly. You assumed that the fact that she was working with you all the time now was her break. She had been juggling at least five other major assignments for a few weeks before she started working with you. This was an important party, so you assumed that his relegating Jaehee to work with you had a lot to do with the fact that he wanted to give you a better spot to get everything done in time. Thereâd been a few hiccups along the way, but it seemed to be working out a lot better than you expected.Â
Jaehee was a godsend on this project. That help was everything. You know how to handle your job but it was nice to have somebody that understood the aspects of work that you were still a little bit fuzzy on. You were grateful for the help. It was more than you expected but you knew that it was going to be a challenge from the start. You were the first person in your department to be given an assignment of this caliber.Â
You weren't so sure that she appreciated having to run around as much as she did, but she never really complained about it. She was a jack of all trades at the end of the day. The skills that she was getting at this company would allow her to do anything in the future if she decided to step out on her own. That was one of the things that you appreciated about C&R. It didn't matter what you did, you were always learning something that was going to help you out in the future. You weren't just doing things because somebody was forcing you to do it. You were doing it because there was a benefit to what you can learn in the end.Â
It was one of the reasons why you enjoyed being on the job in the first place. Even if there was a bit of extra work to do now and again, you still had the time to pick up something that helped you learn the skills that normally took other workers months or even years to pick up second hand. Those sorts of trade skills were hard to come by. You were grateful for the opportunity. This was, after all, a chance for you to prove yourself. You werenât going to lose anything out of it. You aren't going to lose your job if you didn't manage to do everything right.Â
Even though there was a lot of planning that you had to take care of, you were doing the best that you could to do the coordinated effort. You had notes of who you were supposed to be in contact with and notes that you needed about what needed to be purchased or pulled out of storage. It was a lot to stay on top of but you were making sense of it. Paperwork wasn't a problem. Youâd learned a long time ago how to navigate different types of forms. It was the one saving grace that had come with you from the hospital.Â
There was always a trick to getting it done faster, and you were steadily figuring that out. It just took a little bit of imagination to get through the numbers. There was plenty of wiggle room, so it wasn't too much to worry about. As long as you were able to make the appropriate calculation, then somebody would catch it if there was a mistake. That was how teams were supposed to work together. You were in charge this time but you knew that you could trust the people that were working with you to make this happen.Â
If there was one thing that you had come to understand over the last couple of years, it was that there was always a lot of work to do. Some people didn't think that you could measure up to the work that you needed to do, but you wanted to prove them wrong time and time again. You had limits, sure, but you wanted someone to give you the chance without second-guessing what it took to be you. Jumin Han had given you that, and you werenât one to take it for granted. It was the opportunity of a lifetime and this wasn't the sort of thing that any rational person would want to give up.Â
Even if it was tough, you were going to persevere. This was the life experience that you wanted. You wanted the mundane and the everyday. A lot of experiences had been taken away from you in the past but that didn't mean that you couldn't experience other things. To you, being able to have a moment where you could be yourself and you're not worried about how it's going to affect you later meant everything.
A lot of people tried to coddle you since you got out of the hospital. Some people thought that you needed extra attention or help, and even though you appreciated that there were people out there that were understanding of what you had gone through in the past, you didn't like some people to expect that your work would not be up to standard with everybody else's. Â
It felt like there was a big difference between somebody offering you a hand because they knew that you needed a little bit of extra time, and somebody offering you more time because he didn't think that you could even do it. There was a different feeling in the air. You knew when someone was patronizing you without trying to say it. You also knew when someone was infantilizing or belittling you.Â
There was a lot that you could tell about people from the way that they would interact with others. It would always be the smallest thing. It wouldn't be hard to see who was being genuine and who simply wasn't. There was always a crucial difference. It became more obvious the longer that you were around people that would let their sincerity fall through the cracks.Â
There would be those that were understanding and sweet, but plenty of people who hid underneath the mask of false kindness. You always tried to see the good in people instead of looking for the bad. Even the people that had the sourest attitude weren't always as bad as they seemed, but it took a lot of energy to withstand those interactions. Even you got tired of it sometimes, and you tried to be as kind as you could to everyone that you met. It was just different with some people.Â
It was just one of those things that you had to contend with whether you liked it or not. There was something to be said about the people that did give you a chance without making you feel like it was their act of âcharity,â like how Jumin complimented your skill and gave you a chance to defend your work and prove that it was the caliber that people commented on. Those were the people that acted in good faith. Those are the kind of people that you were okay speaking to. you wanted to fill your life with positive affirmation and chances, and the only way to do that was to be around people that gave you that opportunity.Â
You were living the chance of a lifetime for what you wanted to do. It was the opportunity to explore what you wanted and the ability to give back to others was the only thing that you wanted to do. So many people had made a difference in your life by being kind and going out of their way to say hello. That was why you wanted to give back. It might have been small to some people, but just being able to make sure that there was a party that could benefit the happiness of others through charity was your bread and butter.Â
It was the small things that mattered. Small acts of kindness were what helped you get through the hardest time of your life. It was why you believed so wholeheartedly that people doing things like that was for the best. People shouldn't have had a reason to need to do good things for other people, they need to do good things because it was the right thing to do.Â
Although, you wouldâve appreciated it better if you had more people to help you out with everything that needed to be done. Well, you were sure that you would have help in due time, but itâd take a while before the others came out. It meant that you had to roll up your sleeves and get things done the hard way. It wouldn't take that much to get things rolling. The sooner that you can get everything laid out, the easier it would be to determine any possible changes that needed to be done.Â
In the meantime, you knew that you had to take care of what you needed with Jaehee. She had an eye for detail even if she didn't want to admit it. It was nice to have somebody who could make sure that you were putting the right pieces together. You knew what you were doing but that didn't mean that you had the eye for it all the time. So, you had made sure that you understood the venue and all of the decorations that were needed. The company had held events at this location before, so there was a lot that you could look back at in the archives to see how you wanted to make it appear.Â
It was interesting to see the different parties that have taken place in the past. Throughout a couple of decades, you could see the differences in design choices and in the clientele that would come along with it. It made you want to create a blend of both new and old dynamics. You wanted people to feel like they were walking into a time capsule but also without forgetting the present.Â
That was a tough order to fulfill but you were determined to do it right, and that meant that you were going to do whatever it took to piece it together. Jumin thought it was a good idea when you ran it by him, so you had a good feeling about it. The problem was making sure that it didnât look tacky. There was a sizable budget that you could work with, but you wanted quality. You didnât want it to look like youâd bought everything at the party store.
You climbed back up the ladder to fix some of the ruffles and folds in the fabric, leaning on the tips of your toes so that you could reach the outer corners. You couldâve moved the ladder around to get those spots but you didnât want to expend the extra time! It was a little bit tough to manage all of the surface areas from your spot, but you had done this plenty of times before so you weren't too worried about it coming out wonky! Humming underneath your breath, you went to smooth out the last of the creases left andâ
You only wanted to make sure that it was alright but you leaned too far to the side and the ladder began to shake underneath your feet. You cursed, trying to see if you could stabilize the metal but it was to no avail. There was nothing that you could do to stop it from happening. You knew that you were going to have to brace for impact. It happened in a matter of five seconds, you felt your legs slip from the top step before you could grab it, and you felt your body begin to fall back to the ground from five feet upâ
Only to not feel the harsh impact of the ground.Â
You blinked, confused at the lack of pain that you shouldâve felt, looking to the side to find yourself gazing into golden eyes and lightly freckled cheeks. Someone had caught you before you hit the ground and broke one of your legs. Your mouth was agape. There hadnât been anyone in the room as far as you knew and this guy had managed to run in to not only see it happening, but he caught you before you got hurt. It didn't make any sense but you were too dazed to even begin to think about that fact. You were just grateful that you didnât get hurt!
It was a bad idea in the first place, and it would have been your fault if you got hurt. That's what you got for trying to save time. That was the first thought that came to mind. The second one that came to mind was the fact that something about this guy felt familiar. You couldn't put your finger on it. But, it was probably the shock of almost breaking your leg that made you feel that way. You were lucky that he just happened to be around.Â
His voice was soft but sincere, âAre you alright?â
You nodded your head. You weren't sure what you were supposed to say at that moment, the most that you could manage was, âUh, yeah. I think.âÂ
âThatâs a relief,â he sighed. Those golden eyes of his were so bright that you couldnât look away from him for a second. âYou should be more careful. You should always have somebody standing around to make sure that it never grows unstable. You did make it look rather excellent, but we don't want that to happen at the expense of your health, okay?â
âYeah⊠yeah, youâre right,â you murmured. The stranger helped you back to your feet and you tried to dust yourself off to clear your anxious energy. Thatâs when you noticed that Jaehee had come back into the room with someone else that you didnât recognize. They seemed just as otherworldly as the stranger that had saved you. You couldnât gauge why that was, but there were plenty of people who were deeply involved with C&R that shined like the sun and always surprised you.Â
The strangerâs partner moved the ladder back onto its legs and Jaehee looked at you with concern and a sigh against her lips. â[Y/N], you couldâve waited until I came back to take care of that. Thank you for helping them, Mr. Saeran. You saved them a lot of trouble. Mr. Han has spoken highly of how fast you can move during work, but I didnât imagine it was that quick.âÂ
âItâs not a problem,â there was a sheepish smile on his face as he bowed his head to the two of you. âIâm just happy that theyâre alright. Mr. Han insisted that it was crucial that the event coordinator has all the time they need to get things done, and this wouldâve put a wrench in their goal to plan the party theyâd been assigned. Besides, now we're here to help, and that means they said problems like this aren't going to happen in the future.âÂ
âI hope so,â Jaehee said.Â
She looked back at you, sharply. âI expect you to make sure that there is always someone in the room before you do something dangerous. I recognize that you want to do a good job at this party, but we must handle things properly. It's not my job to reprimand you but I wouldn't want you to get hurt. Now, I stepped out of the room because I was checking to see if our new team was arriving and to my surprise, they were here.âÂ
âThis is Mr. Saeran and Mx. Polaris. Theyâre the reinforcements that are going to be helping us for the time being. Jumin isnât sure when the others are going to be heading this way as that party is important for the contracts that his cat is networking at the moment, so he offered us these two to help us pick up any slack until theyâre ready to join us within the next week or two. Frankly, as long as we're not fully knee-deep in the middle of the cat assignments, I don't have any complaints. But, don't tell him that I said that.â
âDonât worry about that, Ms. Kang,â Polaris added. They patted her shoulder, âI stopped by the set-up for Elizabethâs party this morning. They have everything coming together and it should be set up by the end of the week. I will say that he spares no expense for that cat. Of course, it does look a bit ridiculous that he's going over the personal details himself to check her comfort. But, I have to admire the compassion.âÂ
âBelieve me, Iâve got no doubt. Excuse me for a moment, now that you're here I need to go and check on some of the deliveries. We've ordered quite a few things for the party and I need to make sure that the numbers are correct. I pray that this time you don't try to break your neck, [Y/N]. I don't want to have a heart attack today,â Jaehee gave a wave and looked back to her clipboard with the notes that you had put together, heading out of the room to step into the small office.Â
You chuckled. It failed some of your fragile nerves to hear that. Even if you were still a little shaky on your knees, everything was coming back together after that experience. It left you feeling a little frazzled but you had dealt with worse. Smiling politely, you nodded at the two. âItâs a pleasure to meet you two. My name is [Y/N], but you can call me Gardenia if you want to feel less formal. Most of my co-workers do, it's a nickname.âÂ
You were glad that there was going to be help on the job now. It could help you piece everything that you needed to get done back together. Polaris smiled and took your hand as a show of good faith. âItâs an interesting nickname. Polaris is a nickname for me as well but it stuck like glue after a while. I donât see many people who pick a flower to be their name. If it's not too intrusive to ask, is there significance behind it?âÂ
It wasnât intrusive.Â
It was only significant because it was your favorite flower and it was the one thing that made your mood feel like it was going to be better when you had felt your lowest. But, there had been somebody who called you that once and it made you smile every time you thought of them. It was such a fleeting memory but it was a good one. Even though it had been a long time since those days, you could still close your eyes and remember that person. Theyâd been just another worker in the hospital that was doing best by the patients.Â
But, those fleeting moments when you had been able to feel the sunshine against your face were the best. The fluorescence of the artificial light had made you feel like you were missing out on something, so, any time that you were able to go outside felt like a godsend. It may not have seemed like much to anyone else, but after being trapped in your hospital bed for so long, even opening a window in the room felt like a blessing. Even the people that didn't like to go outside all of the time would still feel the benefit of the sun. It was something that you needed to stay positive.Â
Vitamin D was important, after all! As much as many people that you knew that preferred the benefit of nighttime wanted to disagree. Even if it was in small doses, it could make a difference in somebody's life. So, you were willing to share the story with them. It was an easy way to break the ice and get used to working with them. After all, you didn't know how long it would be before the team came back. It would be nice to get to know the people that you would be working with for an indefinite amount of time.Â
âI guess the length of the short of it would be to say that they're my favorites. But, I didnât start using it as a nickname until⊠well, a few years ago. I was in the hospital for a while and every week, Iâd get those flowers from a secret admirer. I never knew their name but the florist in the hospital would call me that as a joke every time they visited because it was a ridiculous amount of gardenias,â you said with a little laugh.Â
âThatâs sweet,â Polaris said.Â
âI think so, too. You can tell a lot about a person from the way that they talk about themselves. Itâs why Iâve accepted it as a nickname. I think that it's a good luck charm. Sometimes I feel like it's what helped me get better in the first place. Of course, I canât say I think the doctors would agree with that, but it's the way I like to look at it.â you said.Â
âYou had someone looking out for you,â Saeran said. His voice was still quiet but you turned to look back at him to address him properly. His shoulders were tense, but you paid no mind. It was likely just the anxiety of getting used to this situation. âThat's a good thing. I believe that a small act of kindness can make your day feel worth living. It's flattering that you decided to keep that as a name. It's like the token of their kindness.âÂ
A token of kindness? You supposed that it could be interpreted that way. You held on to it because that acquaintanceship that you had created with them had meant everything at the time.Â
It was never the people that you knew that made your day better. It was always strangers who would share a moment with you, just a fleeting moment of kindness, and that was the reason why you felt like that name worked. It was almost like a secret little message. Of course, that was silly. It was silly to think that there was something out of that time from the random interactions that you had. But, it was better to have some whimsy, right?
You smiled. âThatâs an interesting way to put it. I guess I never really thought about it that way. It did help at the time and I look back on it fondly. I guess that there are guardian angels all over the place. Who would have thought someone could be so lucky? I guess some people are fortunate when it comes to a lot of those random acts of kindness. I guess somebody is looking out for me. Anyway, it's great that you guys are here because now I can get to work on a few of the more difficult tasks. Come with me and I'll show you the layout that we have in mind.â
Unbeknownst to you, you didn't realize how heavy those words were. Nor did you realize the way that the two standing behind you shared a look that you could never comprehend.
â
For some reason, his hands still felt warm from where he held you. It was the overwhelming warmth of knowing that it was your soul. Leave it in the past when he had gotten close to you, thereâd never been a chance for him to get just close to press his hand against yours. He was never lucky. He would always get just close enough to know that your light was close to his heart, but not close enough to know what it would feel like. But now that he knew what that sensation felt like⊠he couldnât scrub the feeling out of his head.Â
It was one of those reasons why temptation was so hard for him in the first place. You inspired him to desire things that he wasnât supposed to have. There was a reason why they were so determined to keep many of the Angels away from this desire. But, they weren't true in telling them that temptation would destroy them. It wasn't like his soul set on fire the second that he thought about wanting something so very selfish for himself. It was a feeling that wouldn't go away, a warm and fuzzy feeling that made him want to envelop himself inside of it.Â
Even as he pressed his hand against his chest, it still felt like you were right there⊠if he had a heart as you did, he knew that he wouldâve felt the warm sputtering of an organ tapping against his ribs as often as it could. You made him feel alive in a way that most Angels never could. They were made of sunlight and saturated warmth, not of flesh and bone as you were. Even the disguise of humanity cloaked over his head would never give him the illusion of what you had genuinely.Â
But, for a fleeting moment, once again, you showed him what it felt like to be a human⊠no different than the rest, just smiling at someone that he was grateful to be around.Â
Saeran never thought that heâd get to speak with you ever again. He also never believed that you were going to be able to see his actual face. It was a safety precaution. He could never truly reveal himself to you. He was always just another nameless person in the crowd that you wouldn't remember the next day, and he had to be okay with that. It wasn't always the easiest thing. The longest time that he had ever spoken to you was the time that he spent masquerading as the florist. Those had been fleeting moments but they were an experience that he didn't want to forget.Â
It was what changed his perspective on humanity. It also allowed him to see what it felt like to be in love. Those were two very undeniable things. He was grateful that he ever had a chance to be in your life in the first place. A long time ago, he told himself that he wouldâve had to have been okay with watching you from afar. He knew that that was the fate that was created for him as an Angel, and even if it burned, as long as he was able to watch you⊠he was okay with that. If you were able to have a long and happy life that was the only thing that mattered.Â
He fought for you to be able to have a chance at life. The fact alone that he could see that you were making the most out of your second chance was what made him feel relieved. He didn't care if you spent the rest of your days in one place. You didn't have to do anything to be the amazing person that you were. You were already perfect as it was. Nobody would ever change his mind about that, you were special.Â
All humans were special, but it was ultimately different with you. It always had been different with you from the first second that he saw your face. It was almost as if his soul was meant to watch over you and take care of you. He had never felt such a strong desire. Â
Throughout his life, he watched as many people lived and died. There were so many beautiful stories of life to be told and watched. All of those lives had been created because they had been given a chance. A chance was all that he wanted for you.Â
He wanted you to have a chance to experience the things that the rest of humanity had. Even if there were a few things that you wouldn't be able to do, the ability to try was what he fought to give you. He knew that you were living to the fullest. You never took a moment for granted. There was something to do and to explore every day. He could see it in your eyes and the way that you interacted with the people around you. You were a good person and there was not a doubt in his body that you were deserving of this chance. He risked everything because he knew that you were worth it.Â
He just never thought that he was going to be able to be involved in it. He understood deep down that once he did what he did, he would never be able to see you again. He would have saved your life but it would come at the cost of his ability to be there with you to see it to fruition. It was a sacrifice that he knew was worth making. As long as your soul was able to continue living for as long as you desired, he couldnât complain. Destiny seemed to have other ideas. Here he was, not only in the same room as you, but helping you do your duty. He wasn't wearing a disguise. Apart from hiding his wings, he was himself.Â
This was the closest that you had ever gotten to his true form. It was almost overwhelming for him to realize that you could see him the way that he almost was. He was captivated by the way that you kept stealing glances at him. He didn't know what to think of it, but when you looked over your shoulder now and again when you thought that he wasnât looking, it melted his heart. You always had a way of making him feel like he belonged.Â
It felt like it was a trap.Â
As if somebody was waiting for him to slip up and do something wrong⊠as if they were waiting to see if he was involved in everything. He knew what they thought of him and what they were trying. There was no doubt about it. They could believe whatever they wanted, but after his brother had given every part of his soul to make sure that you were safe⊠Saeran couldnât allow himself to throw away his spot in Heaven. It didnât matter how much he considered throwing himself over the edge. Saeyoung looked at him and pleaded in those final moments that Saeran stay in Heaven.Â
Even if it felt like a part of him was being crushed. His brother wanted him to stay there.Â
Even if he had fallen, there was a chance that he would have been a burden on his brother even more. There was a chance that he could have died on impact with the ground instead of going through with the transformation into a demon. He could have suffered and made his brother watch it. Saeran knew he was weak compared to the other Angels. That fact alone was what made him stay in heaven. Saeran didnât know if Saeyoung was alive or dead. But, he was living because he knew that his brother wanted him to.
Regardless of Saeyoungâs fate, he knew what he had to do. His reason for living was ensuring that your human life was lived to the fullest. No evidence said that he didn't care for you the way that he needed, but there was also nothing that said that heâd the heart guide his choices instead of rule and principle. It was very well another challenge that they had given him. This was a test to see if he could control his impulses and remain indifferent to you in the face of his desires. It was the hardest thing that he had ever been given. All he wanted to do was to be close to you again.Â
Hearing the sound of your voice lured him to temptation. He wanted to be more involved but he had to stay at arm's length. He was bouncing between the two sentiments. For him to be able to do his job properly, he had to speak with you and ensure that everything was going according to plan. At the same time, he had to stay away just enough that you wouldnât lure his heart back to the same place that heâd always wanted it to be. He wanted to hold you, he wanted to embrace you, and he wanted to cry with his hot tears in relief that you were still alive thanks to the apple.Â
God was testing him.Â
Even more than that, God was testing you.Â
It wasnât just about Polaris anymore. Saeran knew that even though they werenât telling him why they needed to be involved so closely with humanity. Their mission had changed. Michael said that they had to work with you. That God himself had made the call to say that you were to ensure that the party was a success. He wouldnât say why, nor would he explain, but it was all the same. He had to bow his head in Heaven and know that there was no choice but to obey.Â
He and Polaris wound up in Juminâs office where he directed them to do whatever it took to give you what they needed. There was a reason why this party mattered. There was a reason why this needed to get done. Something was going on in the background that he couldn't deny. He didn't know what it was but it was crucial. It had to be crucial because you were somebody that they were keeping a close eye on. They could stay all day that they weren't looking at you, but he knew that they were due to the blessing.Â
It wasn't as if you had been enlightened. You had only taken one small bite. What mattered was the concentration. You had only eaten enough for it to remedy some of the pain. You didn't have enough to understand the secrets of the universe. Your eyes hadn't been open to anything. In his opinion, there was nothing left to be open to. That was why he didn't understand why it was a problem in the first place. There was nothing left for Humanity to be punished for. There was nothing left for them to learn because it had already been learned.Â
They didn't even have to tell him why this party mattered for Saeran to understand that this was a huge deal. They were testing you for some reason. His main concern was that they were doing this to you at this moment because they wanted to do something to revoke the chance at life that you had been given from the fruit. There was a chance that they wanted to see if you were not worthy of the knowledge that came with it.Â
It wasn't as if they trusted many people with it⊠not since the dawn of mankind and the revelation of truth in Eden. In a way, nothing had changed. But in others, there had been enough change to say that the amount of Faith they placed in humanity was slim to none. Many of the Angels were holy only in their title, and nothing more than that. At the very least, Jumin was one of the only Angels that did a good deed for the sake of doing it. There was nothing selfish in his actions. Saeran wasnât worried about what Jumin thought.Â
It was only what God thought was a problem.Â
Polaris was doing their best, though. It took away some of the weight that was on his chest. He was still worried about what they were going to do, but all that he could focus on was trying to make sure that everything was successful for you. This party didn't matter in the eyes of Heaven, it mattered because it was something that you were putting your heart into. He could tell that you were doing this because it meant something to you. You had always wanted to make a difference in the lives of the people around you, even those that you didn't know.Â
This was your way of giving back, Saeran knew. He was finally able to offer some help first-hand and he was grateful for it. Though, his sputtering heart refused to stop beating as he hung another streamer by the wall and you carefully directed him in the right direction. Your laughter and gentle orders made his heart warm. He felt as though he could do anything as long as you told him what to do.Â
Normally, he didn't like having to follow the orders of the people around him and for good reason, too. But when he would listen to you, he knew that he was doing something good for once. This was going to do a lot of good for people in need. It was funny that he had more ability to benefit humanity in the faulty disguise than he did as an Angel. He was careful and looked back over his shoulder to see if you were proud of his work.Â
With a gushing smile, you seemed excited as you jumped heel to heel. You came closer to him and brushed your lips against his cheek. Naturally, he should have understood that this was something that people would do whenever they were expressing compassion for another person. It wasn't always the feeling of his inherited romantasy. It couldâve been a feeling of kindness and gratitude, too. But in his heart of hearts, he was selfish and wished that it was because you adored him as much as he had always adored you.Â
âThank you for staying late, Saeran,â you murmured. Your cheeks were as flush as a rose. âI know you probably have a lot of better things to do with your time, but I appreciate that you stayed late to help me get some of this done. Weâd be a lot more behind schedule if not for you guys. Has anyone told you that you have a great eye for design? Sorry, I bet you hear that all the time. That's probably why you're in this business, after all.âÂ
Anything I can learn, Iâd learn it for you, he thought.Â
âItâs nothing, I promise. I don't have anywhere else to be tonight. If you have a few more things that you want to get done, I can help you with that,â he said. Saeran turned his head just a bit to the side to meet your gaze. His face was just as warm. âUnless youâd like me to walk you back to your bus so youâre able to get home early.âÂ
You surprised him.Â
âActually⊠I wouldnât mind staying later. I have a few things that you could help me with.âÂ
âReally?âÂ
âOf course. Iâm open to having any help and advice from someone who's been in the business. How much do you know about flower arrangements?âÂ
â...I know quite a bit.âÂ
âReally? Oh, goodness. Youâre my hero!âÂ
You didnât know half of it.Â

You mean the Ln 1 comic kids being parallels to cup, tengu, fox and scarecrow or?
MASTERPOST
HELL YEAH BESTIE YOU GOT IT!
The hypothesis came into my mind while making the LN iceberg. Basically I was synthesizing the plot of the cancelled comics and I thought,
"Wow, I never realized that Humpback Girl and the Lady both have a strong disliking of mirrors due to bad experiences with Mirror Man. Cool coincidence."
Then I realized the Humpback Girl keeps her face covered at all times - like the Lady, who costantly wears a mask, and that they both are wearing different shades of orange.
(Not sure about this one, but Humpback Girl's friends might be seen as paralleles to the Maw employees. I mean, the guy with the super long limbs? The conjoined "twins"?)
And this got me thinking.
If, hypothetically, Humpback Girl is paralleling the current Lady... then what about the other kids? Could they be seen as paralleles to the previous four?
Before we go on, keep in mind: I'm not saying they're exact paralleles. While the Lady can't keep away from mirrors, Humpback Girl is terrified of them.
But what I am saying is that their similarities might help us understand the Ladies a bit more.
And you'll tell me, "But there's only five children! The Bandaged Kid got snatched away, so the numbers of kids and Ladies don't match!" Not to worry: we're ""confirming"" two theories in one hit.
Because we only have one other child tell us their full story (curse the day the comics were cancelled /lh), I'll begin with announcing that the Refugee Boy is paralleling none other than Scarecrow.
I mean... look at the boy's hood and tell me it doesn't resemble the scarecrow mask.
(Yes, this is important for my reasoning - it's gonna help us determine who the other children match.)
Let's recap what we know about Scarecrow. She has a tendecy to run and hide from the horrors of the world instead of facing them (like the boy who is trying to evade the clutches of the North Wind), she wears blue and she could have possibly had a sister which might have been one of the others.
And, wouldn't you know!, the Refugee Boy also happens to have a younger sister! One who wears a red cape.
You already know where I'm going with this.
Yep.
Recreating Tengu's mask using a hood must be complicated, but the choice of color for the cape was spot on. It's literally the same shade as the little statue from the DLC.
We know that Tengu, unlike Scarecrow, was someone who wanted to fit in with the monsters to avoid being hurt - and that this was just a facade she put out in order to make herself seem stronger than she actually was.
The Refugee Boy's sister is straight up replaced by a monster, a.k.a. the Ferryman, who is a shapeshifter (thus creating this "false persona"), while the real girl had already been claimed by the North Wind.
It's what Tengu did, just... not literally.
But there's more: when I first introduced the idea of Scarecrow and Tengu being sisters, I ended up wondering if such an event would go down in regards to the Thin Man and Lady coexistence theory. Would the Thin Man only kidnap one of the girls or both? And today, I think I finally have my answer.
In this story, we could see the North Wind as a stand-in for either the Thin Man or the Hunger itself, or even a mix of both. The one who snatched the girl away from her sibling...
Look at what the girl's skeleton is wearing.
Yellow cape. Much like the signature yellow raincoat both Six and the girl in the Lady's paintings (who could be a possible younger Lady) wear.
Only one of the girls was taken; only one of them is destined to become the true Lady of the Maw. And that girl was Tengu. Scarecrow became a Lady, yes, but only by association. She was just a normal person thrown in a world where she had no chance of keeping herself safe other than hiding away from everything else - including her own sister.
(Btw, this also explains the drawings seen on Tengu's wall in VLN. The three children rappresent Tengu, Scarecrow and their Mono... until the Eye changed everything.)
(Again, these drawings are not literal parallels. They're telling two stories simultaniously: the one of the three children who became nomes, and the one of an unlikely trio who was doomed from the start.)
So, if the girls seen in these paintings truly are the two headless statues, then we can give the girls a face.
Tengu. Scarecrow.
Okay, so we established Scarecrow and Tengu as the Refugee Boy and his sister respectively. Cool. But what about the others who don't have a story?
And this is when the hood designs come in! It was istantly clear to me that the Long Hair Girl would parallel Teapot. The shape of her hood is literally the same as the reversed teapot mask.
Lastly, going by exclusion and the ripped hood, the Boy in Green would parallel Fox.
From how little we see of him in the comics, we get that he's a rather calm child - he's also the one who offers to help Six remember her forgotten past. We know that Fox had a gentle and caring nature, so I feel like it would make sense for him to be her "stand in" of sorts.
And this is all for now. I love making theories about the Ladies and it was nice to include the comic children into this!

In a hypothetical situation, on New Moon, when the Cullens and Bella are in the throne room, if all the Volturi become human, what would happen?
You know what, you get answered early, because this turns out to be delightful and I canât help myself. Though it probably isnât going where you think itâs going.
The first thing Edward does is Nelson Laugh. The tables have turned now! Where, once, Edward had to beg these men to deign to kill him, and then deign to spare the life of his love, now he is the one with the power. They are nothing now and have no control over him whatsoever.
Edward smugly leaves, a conquering hero, with his human bride and Alice in tow. Unlike in canon, he does not leave with an order to turn Bella or else. Bella will remain human and these old men can never boss him around again.
Itâs a great day to be Edward Cullen. Until, of course, it isnât.
When he gets home to Forks he finds out that Carlisle has boarded a plane to Italy.
With the Volturi all human, the world is in serious peril, and Carlisle is the only one that Aroâs going to trust to come to their aid. Beyond being Aroâs greatest friend, Carlisle is a known pacifist who has no designs on power, he is the only one in this situation who can be trusted.
For the next several decades, itâs going to be Carlisleâs job to turn the Volturi in waves until the coven is back at full strength. Until that time, the Cullens themselves are going to have to help take up the Volturi duties of putting the fear of god into vampires.
(Which, of course, will be blasphemy to most of the Cullens as Carlisle will have to explain why the law is even necessary and, yes, while this bloodies all of their hands they still must do this or risk the annihilation of mankind. No, Carlisleâs not happy about this either.)
So, just after leaving Italy, Edward is back in Italy, and his one true love is now surrounded by ravenous newborn vampires who are also the Volturi. It is, he thinks, the worst possible outcome.
He still refuses to turn Bella and, as theyâre trying to keep the newborn numbers relatively in check, turning Bella is probably off the table for at least a few years. Though it is implied sheâll be turned eventually.
The reason Bella doesnât get to go home is that the Cullens have a shortened version of the vote in which Carlisle says âBellaâs turning, sheâs already disappeared without word to her father, letâs go to Italyâ. So Edward gets no chance to buy time, or at least, not in America.
Bellaâs just pleased sheâs reunited with Edward and the family and, despite all the hungry vampires, loves the Tuscan landscape. Through sheer strength of will and constant guarding by a very upset Edward Cullen, Bella is not eaten immediately.
I imagine the first round of turnees are those who are considered most vital and had better control in their younger years.
This includes Aro, Marcus (so he canât get tempted into killing himself), Chelsea, and Renata.
Caius probably just misses the cutoff (and is pissed about everything including that heâs going to owe so much to Carlisle Cullen) and will be turned in about a year or so.Â
Aro fights hard for Jane and Alec to be turned but Carlisle refuses. While, yes, itâd be nice for them to finally be able to reach puberty if word gets out that Jane and Alec are not available then things will get very bad. Carlisle doesnât care, heâs not doing it, ARO WILL JUST HAVE TO DEAL. Thereâs likely a ridiculous pretense wherein Aro concocts a scheme to pretend the twins are always somewhere else putting down some other rebellion you might have heard of.
This is all well and good, Edwardâs lowkey upset but doesnât do anything crazy, until, of course, he impregnates Bella. Now, we know Edward wasnât exactly thrilled to sleep with Bella, and I do strongly believe heâs homosexual, but Bella will keep pushing and he is attracted to Bellaâs scent above all else. So... I think eventually heâll do it, give it a year or two.
Caius just dies, Edward demands somebody in this castle abort his wife, Aro has to be kept away from the fascinating pregnant woman lest he accidentally eat her, and Carlisle is a very busy man with no access to blood that doesnât come directly from people. (When Aro undoubtedly figures out Bella needs blood, he probably suggests they do the usual method, Heidi might be human but sheâs still very pretty and the whole scheme is still set up. Carlisle then has to sneak into a local hospital and steal blood. Probably accompanied by Afton, itâs terrible.)
And of course, just as Carlisleâs out stealing blood, Bella gives birth. Renata guards her from the other newborn vampires that might eat her and miraculously pulls through. Only, because Renata is using all of her concentration to a) guard Bella b) not eat Bella herself, this means Renesmee eats Bella.Â
Renesmee grows up horrifically traumatized that she ate her own mother, Renata is mired in guilt for failing to save Bella, and Carlisle comes back to a horror movie scene and Aro licking Bellaâs blood off the floor. IT WAS DELCIIOUS, CARLISLE!
Edward, whammied by Renesmeeâs gift, canât blame her but he likely does blame Renata and Carlisle for being absent at that moment. Edward probably debates between revenge and suicide and ultimately chooses suicide. He wonât be able to touch Renata and thereâs nothing he can do to hurt Carlisle more than his own death (as thatâs why Carlisle presumably brought Bella to Italy). Edward walks out into the sun, Aro is forced to kill him.
Now the Volturi have this half vampire baby. Caius is still human and hating every minute of this. Aroâs sad his petrification is gone and wonders how long itâll take to get back (the answer is never, he canât sit still that long again).

If SWIFTGRON MARRIED & BUILD FAMILY
This is the hypothetical thinking if we can be witnessing Taylor Swift and Dianna Agron married to each other and build a beautiful family together.
I know this is a wishful thinking from a fan of Swiftgron supporter.
Since we are all know, they are twin flame. They have many similarities, they both share dedication to music and literature. They seem to need each other for the creative thinking.Â
If Swiftgron ever come out, what will happen:
1. They will be a new power couple to replace Brangelina.
They both beautiful feminine cis women. They are both dress up elegantly. Who will not watch two beautiful elegant lady in their nice dress together ?
Many people like Dianna already. Even during Glee era, Dianna was the one that pointing our by rest of the cast as the nice and sweetest person.
At first, some conservative people will shock. But eventually those conservative people with accept. Who will not like Dianna Agron as Taylor Swift partners ?
They will gain new fandoms. All queer people already know their relationship history. All queer, already fans of Swiftgron relationship from Taylor glass closeted musical lyrics. Swifties, we mean Hetlor (Hetero Taylor), they will need time to accept the fact. But again, the Swifties will like Dianna Agron. Who will not like Dianna Agron ?
2. Swiftgron will be able to monetize their relationship.
If Dianna and Taylor willing to do an interview together to discuss their relationship. I believe, together can request a conditional term about the interview that they will not discuss any other relationship, except their relationship. With these terms, Taylor and Dianna will not jeopardize all the people that has been connected to either one of them as suitors, dating history, etc. Thus, every people that have had part of their relationship history will not get a domino issue.
I believe
Dianna and Taylor can put a high price for an exclusive interview with them.
Taylor is one of the biggest artist in the world nowadays. And although, the star popularity of Dianna already missed the mark, since Dianna has not made any box office movie or hit TV series like when she was being Quinn Fabray. But people still rooting for Dianna, she is beautiful, poise, and elegant lady. Who will refuse to watch Taylor and Dianna discussing their relationship ?
When Taylor and Dianna get married, they can put gazillion number of dollar to have exclusive shoot of their nuptials.
The nuptial can be small private ceremony like Angelina and Brad did. But, Taylor and Dianna can invite one exclusive TV/media to document their ceremony and have it airtime either live or recorded. Gosh, people will die to watch Taylor and Dianna go down in aisle and make a declaration to love. I bet both of them will wear beautiful gowns. Taylor and Dianna, both are femme and they are keen to wear dress. With the level of Taylor Swift superstar, the gown for her and Dianna will be exclusive and expensive. Taylor will competitive with Dianna previous expensive wedding dress when she was married to Winston. Taylor will put more effort to campioning the previous dress she wore in her Winston marriage. Like, literally Taylor Swift wrote plenty of songs about Dianna. She will not want get defeated her declaration of love.
3. Swiftgron having children.
Based on Dianna podcast interview with Mayim Bialik. She said she has something about motherhood. Thus, when Swiftgron want to expand their family. Dianna will be the one who would like to pregnant first before Taylor. I believe Taylor also want to experience to be pregnant with Diann be her side. And regarding the pregnancy arrangement, they both have a brother. So, for Dianna pregnancy, they can ask sperm donor from Taylor brother. In this arrangement, the biological case will not be an incest. Because Austin is not Dianna siblings. While when Taylor decide to pregnant, they can ask Jason as sperm donors. We believe Taylor and Dianna will have beautiful children.
4. Swiftgron children.
With Taylor and Dianna have a substantial fascination for art, especially music. I bet, one of their children can release children songs. With Taylor strong presence in musics, they children will have easier route to launch an album with their children as the star.
5. Humanitarian.
Dianna has been doing some humanitarian caused for these past several years. She also keen doing volunteering. In some news, Taylor also has been donating some of her wealth for social caused. With Swiftgron marriage, Dianna and Taylor will be put more effort for social caused and humanitarian things compare when they are both single. I mean it is nice to have some one that you love sharing the same interest and value. I bet with this common interest will put them as the most sought couple after Brangelina. And they will be the most women love women powerful couple. Since they are both delighted to watch and super cute together. So far no real life women love women couple that has dedicated fan based except Swiftgron. Also with Taylor having private plane and Dianna aspiration on volunteering, they both can do more for social caused and humanitarian. They will also immersing their children for this social caused and humanitarian like what Angelina did with her children.
Lastly, I know at the moment, this idea is merely wishful thinking from a fan. But, we can pray for it. Both of them still love each others. It will be unfair for both of them not to be able just happily build a family.
