I'm glad I'm not dog showing in the US because I still do not understand how to calculate points. Why is it so complicated? Why are there divisions?? And I only just now discovered that it varies by breed??? Like if you have a Golden Retriever bitch in Vermont for example, you have to beat 9 bitches just to get 2 points. To get a major you'd have to beat 16!
In Canada it's just the same calculation every time. You beat 1 dog you get 1 point. You beat 2-4 you get 2. You beat 5-8 you get 3. You beat 9-11 you get 4. You beat 12+ you get 5. Boom easy.
#Canada has a much smaller population and fewer dog shows so I get why it's simplified ... But I don't really get why the AKC is like that#Yeah some locations have more or less dogs showing so the point schedule varies by region but like ... The dog still beat X#number of dogs

batfam meets the JL but it’s just the bat kids breaking into the watch tower during a debriefing or meeting to ask bruce the most mundane questions. they go about it like they’re interns that need to speak to the CEO during a board meeting. they walk over waving their hands and mouthing “i’m so sorry just need to ask batman something 😬” and then they lean over to bruce and ask something like “alfred wants to know if you’re gonna be home for dinner” and then they dip.
one of them started this when bruce didn’t answer their texts (it was probably tim or something) and now everyone does it.

AU where Eddie takes his dog to the dog park almost every day being he saw a hot guy there once and is trying to manufacture a meet cute.
He actually succeeds in striking up a conversation with Hot Guy. His name is Steve and he’s there with Dustin. Eddie tells him about his own pup, Zeppelin.
They’re talking about the black eye Steve got at work last week when Eddie jokingly flirts that he could take him in a fight. Steve looks like he’s going to flirt back when a loud voice from his left pipes up like, “You could definitely take him in a fight. Everybody can. He gets beat up all the time.”
“I don’t get beat up all the time,” Steve scoffs, voice flipping from his soft spoken flirting to that of an annoyed older brother. He glared at the kid that appeared next to him, “I thought you were looking for rocks. Go find rocks.”
“I did,” The kid says, nonplussed about the tone being directed at him. “You want one? So you can defend yourself when you get beat up again.”
Eddie hides a smile when Steve looks every bit as annoyed as he is. The kid smiles at him, “This one looks like a tomahawk. Want it?”
“Yeah, I’ll take it,” Steve eventually says. He waves a hand at this kid like, “This is Dustin. Bane of my existence.”
“I thought you were a dog,” Eddie admits, accepting the rock the kid gives him.
“Yeah, he does that on purpose.”

I love my dog. however as a golden retriever she was bred to be comfortable swimming in the chilly lakes of scotland retrieving ducks, and therefore comes with two waterproof coats built in. she thrives in the cold. she loves the snow. I was built to huddle under three blankets in front of a computer and suffer when it’s cold. I am allergic to winter. I have to take supplements or I go crazy.
