Two craft beer companies in Nova Scotia could be in a whole lot of hot water with their customers, police and other front line workers after canceling a planned Frontline Appreciation Day scheduled for tomorrow. The event, organized by Big Spruce Brewing, Tatamagouche Brewing Co., and Old Road BBQ was intended to acknowledge and honor front line workers in the province but was abruptly canceled earlier this week. In a Facebook post Big Spruce Brewing acknowledged that it had made an error in judgment and ”had missed an opportunity to faithfully hold true to our values.” The post went on say that while ”We love and support front line workers in many facets, we also do not want to imply tacit support of institutions which are in need of long-overdue change.” The post has been met with largely negative comments on Facebook with one person suggesting the post was ”disgusting” while another noted ”it was a slap in the face” to frontline workers. Several people said they would no longer support the two breweries and at least one restauranteur has indicated he would cancel his weekly draft beer order with Big Spruce. On the finish, it is tart, similar to fresh grapefruit juice in taste and composition. . This NEIPA is a flavour bomb. I mean, it’s so juicy that I swear I could have it with pancakes at IHOP. .
