Anti-Cedfia Week Day 1: Sunset

An attempt at a drabble? I wrote this late because I was too busy yesterday. I wanted to draw a pretty sunset but...oh well.

Outside the workshop's window, the sun retired from its daily journey. Sofia's eyes sparkled at the palette of pinks and oranges, scattered with fiery tufts of cloud. Cedric watched her curiously, head resting on one hand.

"You see sunsets every day, Sofia. Don't they get boring?"

Sofia giggled. "I'll never get bored of sunsets, however many I see. You can never have too much of a good thing!"

He smiled at the young girl. Her charming ways never grew old to him no matter how many years passed. "I suppose you're right about that, princess,” he replied, ruffling her hair.

She wasn’t searching for long. She spotted his head of hair first from behind, relaxed on the head of a chair. As she came around, she noticed his peaceful face, as if sleeping.

Luna smiled coyly and shook her head at the sight.

“Afternoon, My King.” She greeted in a pleasant voice.

As expected, Noctis responded. The corners of his mouth turned up and his eyebrows raised, though his eyes remained closed.

“Afternoon, My Queen,” he returned, equally as regal.

“Is napping on His Majesty’s royal agenda?”

“It may be...” Came his reply. Luna smirked and sat poised at the arm of the chair.

“I’m afraid I must disturb him,” she said dutifully. “...lest he sleeps the whole day.”

Noctis’ smile seemed to grow more and playfully so when she draped her arms over his shoulders and around his head.

“Would the Queen be so bold as to disturb the King in his sleep?” He continued, to which Luna replied, drawing closer until their noses brushed against each others cheeks:

“She might...”

Luna leaned into Noctis’ waiting smile and gently pressed her lips to his, eyes blissfully shut. Noctis returned the gesture just as softly and she delicately ran a hand through his hair.

Luna’s heart beat peacefully in her chest, swelling with love for her beloved Noctis. She knew his heart swelled just the same, feeling it through the caress of his tender kiss and the smile his lips were still curled into.

There was knocking at the door.

Luna unhurriedly drew away, only enough that their lips no longer touched fully, and only then did Noctis’ eyes finally open. His blue eyes were a welcome sight...and so was the look in them.

She suppressed a laugh, pressing her lips together as she watched his return from dreamland and baffled expression. Neither of them moved until the knock came again.

“Hey, Noct? It’s me.”

It was Prompto. This time Luna did laugh, but she did so daintily clutching on to Noctis’ shirt and trying to burry the sound of it in his shoulder.

“I guess should get that.” Noctis said finally.

“Mmhmm.”

I know everyone knows Hanazawa is a cool and chill dude and I agree he's a lovely boy who's very kind and loving, and tragically in love with his straight(?) best friend but also totally okay with that being their dynamic - and I love that for him!

But Hanazawa was a delinquent before Mob came along. He still shows it now and then when confronting enemies and when interacting with people-who-aren't-shigeo, but I just want to put this on the table:

When he's feeling particularly emotional, he gets 100% more delinquent-ish, but in the Haru (my little monster) and Rin (Blue Exorcist), and I suppose even a little in the Body Improvement Club era Onigawara (mp100) sense - he still acts like a delinquent in the "whAT DID U SAY?!" way, but he's cute and silly and a little bit goofy, and not going to hurt anyone. What if when he's shocked or surprised the reformed delinquent just momentarily forgets he's been reformed, and uses delinquent-dialect and mannerisms. What if when he's thinking he gets a delinquent glare on his face. That's all I'm saying. Thanks.
