So. Apparently halfas are like phoenixes or something, which Danny would’ve really liked to know. 

See, usually with ghosts if they’re forced to retreat to their cores they reform as was, but apparently, since they’re still partially living, schrodinger's people and all that, halfas have to regrow their body from scratch. At least that’s what he’s understanding from Frostbite. 

But how come he has to deal with it? It’s Dan’s fault for trying to pull such a stunt! Oh, it’s either him or Vlad? Well fuck, he might have calmed down and is going to therapy in both the living realm and the Zone, but he’s waaay not equipped to raise a child except for like, monetarily wise. 

Well dammit, how long will this core incubation thing last, he has his new job in… let him check which offer he accepted again… He has his new job in Coast City that he needs to finish packing for and then all the rest of the stuff to do. 

What do you mean it’ll take months?! He doesn’t have months?! Urgh, fine. At least being a mortician isn’t that exciting, nor dangerous. Just hand him Dan’s core and he’ll figure things out for the living side of things. He’s sure Tucker and Sam wouldn’t be against helping, if only to try and claim favorite aunt or uncle spots.

writer's blurp: mammon lives rent-free in my brain and that's a-okay he's such a sweetie to the MC both in OG OM and in NB. just wanted to write a short little thing about NB mammon finding comfort in things that have the reader's scent.

It started out as a missing coat or sweater. Something you choked up to just being lost in the abyss of your closet, or left it somewhere not that it was anything you were too sad about losing or being misplaced.

Then the throw blankets, or your favorite throw pillows that you would use at the House of Lamentation when the brothers would pull you into whatever movie or game night, and the ones at Cocytus Hall. Solomon helped you turn over every inch of the Hall, but neither of you had any luck finding them, nor could the brothers help you find your things at Lamentation.

Little things here and there, like pens and notebooks, objects you would use daily. You wondered if your chatelaine was breaking, and you not noticing it, but Solomon assured you that it wouldn't with the enchantment he placed on it for you. Some smaller things as well the occasional ring, or necklace.

It wasn't until you one day received a text from Mammon to come over and please bring something good to eat with your company (totally NOT a bonus he said) since he felt a little under the weather. You found your missing things.

Situated in a safe little spot on Mammon's bed, the very demon dozed off around the little things, but also wearing some of your missing jewelry. Face hidden in your throw pillows and your throw blankets living up to their name of being haphazardly tossed on his person, while he was wrapped up in your sweater.

You could also see some of his brother's things mixed in as well.

A little hoard of his own. A little nest with things that made him feel comfortable and safe. Things that belong to those that are important to him, to people that he loves.

So, as quietly as possible you leave Mammon's room knowing that if he were to wake up and knowing that you saw his little hoard of treasures that belong to those important to him, his little nest of things that brings him comfort he would quickly try to hide all of it.

Once you're back outside of Mammon's room you decide to make something other than the Hell Fire Noodles he likes, opting for something a little bit more easy on the stomach.

Texting to let Mammon know that you will be delayed in arriving, his response is a pouty little emoji, and him appearing by your side a bit later. Hiding his face in your shoulder, mumbling and grumbling while you cook, but sticking to you like glue.

this is very nice actually thank you so much <3 <3 and like, i probably do need to give myself more credit in general but also i am still very much learning and stumbling and figuring digital art out (and for the most part it is so fun)

I’m gonna ramble about this a bit so bear with me and also i apologize lol, but that art was done after a month of getting increasingly more frustrated with everything turning out so badly and eventually realizing that I was trying to 1. copy a certain look/style that i’ve internalized is what fanart and digital art should look like and is very far away from my style/comfort zone 2. i was trying to do everything digital allows without being comfortable with it or understanding it

so (and this took me a month to realize ? ??) i did what i already knew from doing acrylic and oil painting in the past and could somewhat easily transfer to digital without having to know more than the basics, like i didn’t use a lot of the things digital provides or allows for. i used layers for my own peace of mind but without actually needing them and did some color adjusting (honestly, the color adjusting digital lets you do is such a blessing to me) but the only fancy way i really utilized the medium was making it a gif (which is so fun and a lot easier than i would have thought, like honestly watch me make any future art into gifs too) but there are so many things you can do with the medium with settings/effects, different brushes, tools to use in the process etc that i just do not understand what they are or how to implement them so i am very slowly learning digital art as a whole new medium rather than just being able to use it to adapt what i already know

succ/brba crossover, where jesse and greg meet because greg goes to score drugs for kendall. then, he starts going to score pot for himself, bc jesse is nicer than a lot of other dealers, even if greg thinks he’s weird, and vice versa, but also, he’s a relaxing change of pace from the roys, and feels more akin to his old life, when he wants to go outside of himself and all the stress of his job and current life. he never has any idea what jesse gets up to, and neither does jesse of greg. one day, jesse disappears… and greg has to find a new dealer, and starts to forget about the weird fucking guy he used to smoke pot with sometimes.

I miss having an extrovert teammate hhhh why am I pressuring myself to welcome our new designer and making this team meeting like. not awkward. it was supposed to be a rare afternoon where everyone else in the house was out doing various things/working and she had zero plans. unsurprising. ever since her breakup, she had sheltered herself away in her bedroom, only coming out for work and the necessities. everyone had been gentle with her, trying to encourage her to come out or even talk, but she just didn't want to deal with the questions and the looks. any little thing could still set her off and she was already tired of crying. when she was sure everyone was gone, she peeked her head out. "hello?" no response. perfect.

the first task on her list was something to eat. she wasn't quite hungry for food and settled for a pint of ice cream, not remembering if she had bought it herself or not. shrugging, she'd make it up to whoever it belonged to by buying them two before she went to a drawer, grabbed a spoon and returned to her room. this time she didn't bother to close the door as she opened up her laptop and pushed play on some music. she didn't have to hide her music - poppy with sad lyrics, mirroring what she was feeling - since no one else was home so she wasn't afraid to blast it. for a bit she sat in her chair, ate, contemplated. but soon the music began to work itself into her body, in her bones and she had to get up and move. momentarily abandoning the ice cream, she got up and danced. she wasn't thinking of how she looked or anything; she was just living. something she forgot to do for a bit.

when she turned, her eyes glanced towards the doorframe and she felt her heart stop. "shit," she exclaimed, flying to the laptop and pressing pause. "how long have you been standing there?" her heart is racing, both from the moving and being scared, and she pushed back her hair that had fallen from the loose ponytail she had it in. "i—um. i thought everyone was going to be gone until tonight," she explained. "didn't know you were coming home early."
