Crickets chirped as the sun set over the horizon. Despite the warm weather of July, a nice breeze blew through the small town of Nueva Falls. On the outskirts of the tiny town, a small house sat just over the hills, hidden from society.
Y/N hummed a tune as she took her now-dry linens off the worn line. A weaved basket sat at her boot-covered feet, holding sheets, blankets, and whatever else was washed that morning.Ā
As she reached for the last sheet, a twig snapped in front of her. Pausing both her movements and her humming, she listened for any other noises. It could always be a rodent or a coyote. She mentally groaned. Ever since one of the panels to the fence around the chicken coop broke, coyotes had been raiding (or at least attempting to raid) the coop.Ā
She brandished her pistol that had sat snug between her hip and skirt, slowly moving from behind the sheet. Best not to provoke it. For now.Ā
Y/N squints at the now darkened horizon, not noticing an immediate threat. Before she could turn around, a hand slipped around her middle and another over her mouth.
āDonāt make a sound, Dama.ā
The voice grunts out. His breathing is uneven, and despite his strength, sounds weak. Y/N nods frantically, pistol still clutched tightly in her hand. He slowly releases her, turning her around to face him.Ā
Now getting a better view of the man, Y/Nās jaw almost dropped. Why he had to be over 6ā5! His tan skin shined with what little moonlight was above, his piercing gaze watching her every move. She did the same.Ā
Lowering her gaze, she noticed his disheveled state. His clothes were wrinkled and darkened from dust and grime, his peppered hair messy and sticking to the nape of his neck. He didnāt seem to have a weapon of any kind, not that heād need one with his burly build.
āAre you hurt?ā she asked, trying to scan for any noticeable injuries. Seemingly taken aback by her question, thereās a beat of silence before he lets out a deep chuckle. Lord.
āAre people in this town always this kind and trustinā of strangers?ā He replies, his eyes falling onto her gun. āWell, āCept maybe you.ā.Ā
Y/N canāt help but smirk, a surge of confidence taking over. āWell, Iām not like most people in this town. That shouldaā been made obvious to yaā when you wandered on my property. Now. Are you hurt? And what are you doinā on my property?ā She prods again.
He shakes his head. āNo, no. I aināt hurt. Just tired and hungry. Whatās a lilā thing like you doinā out here by lonesome anyhow? Donāt you know wild animals roam āround at night?ā
She huffs, annoyed. āYou donāt do too well answerinā questions, now do ya? Why. Are. You. On. My. Property?āĀ
He throws his hands up in mock defense, shrugging off her comment. āIāve been wanderinā through the desert for the past two days after my horse broke its leg. Long story short, I was robbed by bandits while I was camped out, and all I have on me are the clothes on my back, Senora.ā He moves closer, boldly reaching up to caress her cheek,
āPlease, I just need a place to stay and a meal to eat. Your abode was the first inklinā of settlement Iāve seen these past two days.ā He looks into her eyes, his voice now a whisper. āPlease.ā
She hums skeptically, taking a step back. āWhy not stay at an inn in town? They got brothels to keep a horn dog such as yourself company.ā Y/N snarks back, slipping her pistol back into her waistband.Ā
He chuckles again. āYou suggestinā I partake in those kinds ofā¦sinful pleasures? Now thatās just hurtful, Princessa.ā
āWhat unmarried man doesnāt?ā Y/N snaps, crossing her arms. She taps her foot against the ground, waiting for another comeback. Once again he chuckles, shaking his head. Some conversation they were having.Ā
āAnd how would you know if Iām a married man or not, hun?āĀ
āWell, I donāt see no ring on your finger. And with the way you were touchinā me earlier, what else am I to assume, hun?āĀ
He grins. āWho says Iām flirtin'? Maybe Iām just a friendly guy.ā A beat of silence. āA bit too friendly, donāt you think?ā. He shrugs again, āIs there such a thing as beinā too friendly?ā he inquires.
She nods, āāCourse there is.ā He takes a step forward again, his posture relaxed. He takes a lock of hair into his hand, twirling it. āIf Iām bein' too friendly, then tell me ta scram.ā
Y/N smiles, āāCorrdinā to you Iām too kind.ā. Noticing her playful jest, he smiles too. āYeah, a real ray of sunshine you are.ā He teases, dropping her lock of hair. āMn, and you a ball oā fire.āĀ
āYou seem awfully friendly for a gal who brandished her gun towards me.ā He says, leaning in ever so slightly. Y/N places a hand on her pistol. āYeah, and this gal still has her gun. Donāt go tryinā nothinā nowā.
He lowers his voice. āTrust me sweet thing. Iād never do nothinā of the sortā¦less you want me to?ā. She leans in, just an inch away from his face, only to swiftly pull away. āHow many nights you plan on stayinā cowboy?ā.
His eyes widen at her trick, but he quickly regains his composure. āJust a night, Darlin.ā
She nods. āMn, alright. I wonāt charge yaā¦money that is.āĀ
He smirks. āWhat are ya lookinā for in exchange thenā¦?ā
āHelp on my ranch.ā Y/N shuffles past him and picks up her basket. She pulls the sheet from the line and plops it in the basket. āOne of the panels that fence my chicken coop done broke on me, and I havenāt had time to fix it. Damn coyotes keep trying to snag a snack.ā She huffs, setting the basket on her hip. āSound like a deal?āĀ
He ponders over her offer, looking up at the moon. He looks back down at her. āYouāre askinā a total stranger to work on your ranch for a night?āĀ
She refrains from rolling her eyes. āIām also lettinā a total stranger into my house. I think rationality has flown out the window. Besides, you were the one to come onto my property askinā for a bed and a meal.ā
He rests his hands on his hips. āYouāre an interestinā one, Iāll give ya that. Canāt tell if youāre too trustinā or jusā know how to talk a man intaā doinā favors for yaā.ā
She shrugs, āThe motelās open all night, you choose.ā
He lets out a sigh, not wanting to go into the busy town. Surely someone would recognize him there. Heās surprised she hasnāt already. āAlright, Senora. Ya got yourself a deal. Iāll fix up yer fence if it means a roof over my head and a pretty lilā thing to keep me company.ā
Y/N chuckles, a light blush dusting her cheeks. āAlright, cāmon and follow me.ā She says, walking towards her back porch. She hears his heavy footsteps trailing behind her.

hey.... i wanna know your honest Thoughts on the jjk ending? Give a rating out 10. Honestly i'm ranting. I mean the good things in the chapter were sukuna's conclusion, the flashback with gojo , queen utahime being alive yay and the nice art with everyone at the end. Usually i would wait for a story to finish before ranting/judging but my god this kinda sucked. I don't want to be too critical but god I am just disappointed and kinda mad. Overall it is an okay/mid manga ;). Gege is not worst writer but ughh. Aot or mha sure they have their flaws but my god..These should never be compared to THIS. so now we could really say that gojo stayed south. With the full chapter, this does not change my opinion cause it still kinda sucks overall even with the whole north vs south meaning. Nothing really changed in the society or lessons maybe except for yuji and sukuna. The kiddos all really went back to missions huh after everything. I have alot to say with relationships and bonds, wasted potential on many aspects but that is a whole other discussion. i totally understand we can't write a backstory for every single character but that is not what i am insinuating here and yes there should be room for a little literary interpretation . That a whole different topic... Anyways I agree with alot your rants. i would like to hear your opinions. In the end we never got to see a gjhm flashback unfortunately. Ok so let say gojo is dead dead I find it hard to believe no was like remembering or acknowledging not even his comrades ( examples shoko, utahime etc_ or the students (i mean i am pretty sure these characters would but i would like to SEE it you know) and so many hints were gearing for gojo's revival but it is meaningless... and was used for pr ngl that's sad. Maybe the anime would do better at some aspects but i will be salty anyways. i will see uta's dance ;) animated so that i looking forward to and ig the maki's massacre. it looks like it's open ending but really!? They are some loop holes but HEY FEAR not we will probably see answers to our questions in the q&a segment! sigh. I lowkey do not want a "jjk part 2" it is draining. Gege when i catch you. I think gege intended this story to be short oh well. I have alot to say but this gonna be a novel lol. Sorry for errors i was in a moment and i hoped you understood what i wanted to say. Hope the gojohime fandom would not die and looking forward to see some nice content.

I already went on a mini rant here. If I have to rate the ending, I'd say maybe 2-4 out of 10?
JJK really did turn out kinda mid. It has an easy anime to get into (the anime carries it mostly š«£), to recommend for newbies, but that ending will make one hesitate to recommend it now. Maybe wouldn't even bother to.
I'm also disappointed & mad. I don't even wanna consider that Gojo is fully dead (cuz Gege went about it so terribly). Gege skipped Gojo's whole month after his unsealing then killed him off-panel a few chapters later. The north & south thing was pointless. We didn't even get to see Gojo make a choice. There were so many hints about his potential revival but they amounted to nothing.

This Tweet sums up the terrible mishandling of Gojo's character too š”. This other short thread pretty much says that his "death" didn't make sense for Gojo either; accepting to stay at the airport is him regressing to his teen self. It doesn't properly conclude Gojo's character arc at all. He was meant to MOVE ON from the loss of his "springtime of youth" & continue to strive for a better future with his comrades & students; the future that HE DREAMED OF š¤ (oof, don't wanna rant further on Gojo; don't wanna make this longer š
).
Honestly, the fan theories made the story seem much better than it actually was. At least with this ending, people can finally start seeing & admitting that Gege isn't a great writer. I've certainly never thought he was š; I once went on a rant here about most issues with this manga, one of them being how terribly fast-paced it is. This story is the definition of wasted potential. So many missed opportunities.
Whatever Gege comes up with for the databook, it'll be infuriating. He'll try to fill in the plot holes but man, I don't think it'll be satisfying. He might not even answer the burning questions everyone has (just like Kub0 never answered everyone's burning questions about the Bl3ach ED, or more like, no one dared to ask. Maybe he himself didn't allow those questions for his interviews š). Hope ppl don't give him any more money, especially cuz he's still milking Gojo, such as with that Hidden Inventory movie no one asked for.
I kinda wanted a Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 ending (lol) & then on to the supposed JJK part 2, esp cuz of this sketch here but Gege fumbled hard.
Wonder if Mappa could deliver but we'll see. I only care about GojoHime's 200% Hollow Purple now. Gege made me lose most interest I had for other things getting animated. Just thinking about that ending will mostly ruin my experience... š
I also hope the GojoHime fandom continues to thrive. We've always lived off of crumbs... Hope ppl continue to make headcanons, fanfics, fanart, etc... I wouldn't want ppl to leave such a beautiful ship with so much potential š„ŗ (I've been thru this type of thing before with Bl3ach, so despite the disappointment, I've stuck around in my ship fandoms only. I don't engage with anything else in that series. Another beloved series of mine also ended terribly but unfortunately, the fandom kinda faded or became inactive cuz it's a manhwa š„ŗ; if it at least had a proper anime adaptation, then...).

wrixie's guide to default eyes š¤©
welcome to my guide on making default eye colors for the sims 4 this'll be my first ever tutorial and it's a big one so please bear with me!
if you have any questions please don't be afraid to send me a message!
here you will hopefully learn how to: make defaults for humans, aliens and vampires as well as cats, dogs and mini goats and sheep! -> i'm unsure about how to do cottage living animals anymore due to s4s changing and the foxes are currently bugged to be gray :( BUT i will provide my files so you can just recolor them and merge them back together down below
you will need a few things to start: sims4studio, photo editing software such as gimp or photoshop to create and edit your textures, some meshes that i've provided + these body templates
human defaults (and beginning steps):
open up sims4studio, locate the CAS button, under that you should have 'override' ticked instead of the default 'create CAS standalone' then click the big CAS button to go to the next step
2. you'll see a few drop down menus, locate 'Part Type:', scroll down until you find 'Eye Color', we're doing human eyes so shift+click all of the base game default colors and click next
3. save your new .package file what ever you please i recommend something like -> yourname_eyename_default <- make sure to have it save into your mods folder or somewhere where you can easily access it (i saved mine into my mods folder)
4. this is where you'll import all your eye colors - assuming you've made your eye textures, locate the 'Texture' box in the 'Texture' panel, you'll see three maps: Diffuse, Shadow + Specular, import your eye texture in the 'Diffuse' texture for all of your eye colors, click on 'Specular' then click on the purple 'Make Blank' button to get rid of the cloudy shine on the default eyes (you'll have to do this manually for each swatch)
alien eyes:
you'll do the same as the human in terms of selecting 'override' in the CAS section then locate 'Part Type:', scroll down until you find 'Eye Color', but instead of selecting the human eyes, we'll select the all of the alien eyes with shift+click - they don't have previews for some reason
2. then you can follow the previous steps, save your file under yourename_eyename_aliens_default into your mods folder
3. same as the humans, import all of your alien eyes into their proper swatches but this time there's two more maps: Normal + Emission - you do not need to touch these for aliens as alien eyes do not glow and the emission map is for glowing textures (i have no idea how to do this)
4. make your 'Specular' maps blank and click save!
vampire eyes:
do the same as the others in terms of selecting 'override' in the CAS section of the main menu, locate 'Part Type:', scroll down until you find 'Eye Color', but instead of selecting the all of the human/alien eyes, we'll be selecting the black swatch for right now - this black swatch is for all ages
2. import your black swatch in 'Diffuse' and make the 'Specular' blank
3. this is where you can veer off and follow a different tutorial to get the glow of the vampire eyes or you can continue without it here; go into your photo editing software, create a 1024x2048 image and fill it in completely with black and save it as emission (this is what you'll use to lose the glow and make the eyes work)
4. in the 'Texture' panel, go to 'Emission' and import your black image you just made and save it as -> yourname_eyename_vampires_black < (or what have you)
5. now change the 'Age: All' to 'Adult', select the next eye color, save it as the color it is and follow steps 2 - 4
6. after completing all of your adult swatches, change 'Age: Adult' to 'Child' and repeat the steps you just took with each eye color you will have to do the same with toddler and infant eyes as well; save child files with _CU in the file name, _PU for toddlers and _infants for ya know... infants
7. once you have all your swatches done, make sure to test them before this next step (merging the files into one, this is an optional step but highly recommended) go back to the main menu and under 'Content Management' click 'Merge Packages..'
8. click 'Add' and select all of your vampire eye files, click 'Merge' and name it what you want
cats & dogs:
with sims4studio open, the CAS section should still have 'override' ticked, click CAS again and in the drop down menus, change 'Species: Human' to Large Dog, Small Dog, Cat, Foxes, or Horses; if you don't have the textures already, export the default texture so you have it as a base
2. import each of your textures in the 'Diffuse' map and make your 'Specular' map blank for each color and save
3. for heterochromia you can use these meshes - edit the textures to add your own, import your texture to the 'Diffuse' map and make your 'Specular' map blank for each color and save as _heterochromia
4. remember to test before merging - go back to the main menu and under 'Content Management' click 'Merge Packages..', add your files and merge them
mini goats & sheep:
in the Object section of the main menu, tick 'override' and click the Object button
2. in the 'Game Pack' drop down menu, choose 'Horse Ranch' and tick 'Show Debug Items' and at the very top, you should see the mini goat, select this and click next save it as what you would like to
3. go into the 'Texture' tab and export all the goats textures if you haven't already made your eyes - when you have your textures done, import them into the 'Diffuse' map for each swatch and save
4. go back to the main menu and repeat steps 1 + 2 but instead of selecting the mini goats, scroll down until you see the mini sheep, should only be a tick or two down and then repeat step 3
cottage living:
go to my folder and download the meshes you need here i'll go through recoloring each animal, we're going to start with the wild rabbits; open the rabbits file
ignore the top file you don't need to edit this
'Export' (not the batch export) each rabbit texture, open them up in your photo editor and add your own eye texture then 'Import' each of them in their proper swatch and save
next will be the llamas, open up the file, you might be put into the 'Warehouse' tab, switch over to the 'Studio' tab
export all the 'Diffuse' textures of each swatch, open them up in your photo editor and add your own eye texture then 'Import' each of them in their proper swatch and save
cows are next, open up the file, ignore the top file and 'Export' the three textures then edit them in your photo editor to add your own eyes
'Import' each swatch in their proper place and save
lastly, for now, are the chickens, open up the file in sims4studio, 'Export' the first 6 image files, ignore the next 2, then export then last 5 and repeat editing and adding your own eye textures to them
once that's done, 'Import' all your swatches in their proper places and save
how to convert non-defaults/contacts to default:
1. open up sims4studio, locate the CAS button, under that you should have 'override' ticked instead of the default 'create CAS standalone'
2. before clicking on the CAS button, go to My Projects and open up the contacts you want to make default and 'Export' each color to save it on your computer
3. now you're going to basically follow the beginning steps again, go back to the main menu and click the big CAS button, then it's 'Part Type: Eye Color', shift+click all human eyes or vampire or alien eyes and hit next (i'll be doing human eyes) if you were put into the 'Warehouse' tab switch over to the 'Studio' tab.
4. 'Import' your textures to each swatch to the 'Diffuse' map and make the 'Specular' blank and save!

I want to know how the ancients achieved that - binding the demon such that, while underground, it could only warp reality in service to a living being's desires. Though really, that seems to be how it's always operated - the only desire it ever expressed for itself was to eat the desires of others. Otherwise, it's only shown fulfilling wishes, before it's locked in the dungeon as well as after.
But I wonder if having a physical form gives it the ability to want more? Does it hunger and third and want to rest, now? DOes it really feel a yearning not just for the completion of its plan, but for the open sky and sight of the world which it hasn't seen in so long?

Hello, I want to ask you a stupid question? I want to know if I can ask tutorial on how to make multiple gifs in one? Here example: periodedits/tumblr/com/post/673464243167920128/15k-celebration-make-us-choose
hi there! that's not a stupid question at all (and even if it were, i'd still be happy to help) š below the cut, i'll walk you through how to make something like you linked, with multiple shots in one gif:
We're putting two (or more) shots or scenes together in sequence into one gif, so that's how we'll start. I'm assuming a basic understanding on how to make gifs (if not, check the beginner tutorials tag on @gifmakerresource, the resource blog I run), so we begin by making each gif separately.
When putting multiple gifs together like this, it's important to be mindful of the number of frames you'll end up with. I tend to think it looks best if each scene is the same amount of frames, probably somewhere between 25-40 per gif, though it depends on the dimensions you're using as well. Don't sweat if they're not identical, but the closer they are, the better it'll look -- as opposed to one gif only being 10 frames and the other being 40.
So, create each gif separately. You may choose to sharpen and then color (which I believe is the more popular way, but you can always do it vice versa as well. You also might want to color once both gifs are together, but when I do something like this, I prefer to have everything completely finished before I put them both together. Here are my two sharpened and colored gifs:
Each gif needs to be the same dimensions as well. These are 540px x 500 px.
Assuming your gifs are complete, I find it easiest to convert them both to a smart object. To do this, highlight all the layers in your layers panel (shown below) and right click on one of them and select "convert to smart object." For this to work, you do already need to be using timeline animation, not frame animation. You can learn more about that in the beginner tutorials I linked above.
Once both gifs are smart objects, they'll be comprised of only one layer each, thus making them easier to work with and transfer. Now we want to bring gif #2 onto gif #1's canvas. As long as you're working with smart objects, it's as simple as copy (ctrl+c) and pasting (ctrl+p). Copy gif #2, click on gif #1's tab and then paste. This should also properly align the layers. If it doesn't for some reason, you can either use the move tool (v) or the transform tool (ctrl+t) and click and drag until they're aligned properly. This is what you should see now:
Gif #2 is currently on top of gif #1 in both the timeline and layers panel. If we were to save this gif, they're not going to play sequentially, but rather at the same time and only the top layer will be visible. To make one play after the other, we're going to drag gif #2 AFTER gif #1 in the timeline like so:
We're just clicking and dragging on that top layer and bringing it down to the same line as gif #1 and after it. What I'm doing at the end gets a little cut off, so this is what I'm showing in order to make the timeline smaller so we can see the whole gif. I don't like having to scroll to see it all, but this is just personal preference.
Dragging that slider to the left makes the timeline smaller and dragging it to the right makes it larger, which is great when you're working with detailed stuff like keyframes.
And that's literally all there is to it! You can now save your gif! Here are my save settings that I use for literally every single gif I make:
The size limit for uploading a gif to tumblr is 10mb, so at a total of 80 frames (40 each), my gif is too large. In this case, I'm okay with deleting some layers from each, but a tool I use a lot if I don't want to lose frames is ezgif's optimizer. when i tell you this website is a literal lifesaver! you select your gif, wait for it to upload, and then i always choose the first option, lossy gif. You may have to play around with the compression level to get the desired size and quality, though. At compression level 100, my gif is only 5.8mb, but it's pretty noisy. I don't always mind noise (in fact, I add it to my gifs fairly often), but in this case, we have a lot of wiggle room. I played around a bit and found that at compression level 35, my gif still looks nice and comes in at 9.4mb. Right-click and save your gif from here and then upload it to tumblr just like normal!
First gif is using ezgif compression and second is the original gif, just with frames deleted. I ended up having to take off 14 frames in total, 7 from each gif, to come in at 9.5mb. You can decide which method you think looks better!
In this case, I like the 2nd one better as it's less noisy, but it all comes down to personal preference! From here, you can learn cool stuff like transition effects!

You knew that you should have listened to him, he told you not to leave the ship but you wanted to find something other than the terrible rations to eat. You thought that you would be fine. You made sure that the kid was secure in the ship, and you made sure that the ship was in your line of sight, youād be able to get back to it if you needed.
Everything had been going well, you had found some fruit that was growing and from what you could tell, was edible. You had begun picking the fruit, excited to see what all you could make with what you were finding.
You heard a branch snap, but it wasnāt from your own feet. You scanned the area, surely it was just an animal but you suddenly got a sick feeling in your gut, and knew you needed to get back to the ship. You would just need to engage ground security protocols once you were onboard and both you and the child would be safe.
You had turned to head back to the ship, but it was too late. You saw that they were closer than you, there was no way for you to make it onboard before they did. You didnāt even have to think, the decision had been an easy one, you used the remote controls to engage the protocols, locking the child in the ship when the hunters wouldnāt be able to get to him. It would buy him time until Mando could get back and kill them off.
You then tried to hunker down, they hadnāt seen you yet and you had hoped that it would stay that way. It had bought you some time. You watched from the foliage as they tried to get in the ship to no avail. You felt relief knowing the child was safe, though that relief was only short lived as you suddenly heard movement behind you.
You whipped around quickly, trying to get a blaster shot off but he was faster than you expected and managed to dodge the shot, which just meant that you had signaled the others to your location. You were luckily fast enough to rip your arm panel with the controls for the ship off your arm and shoot that. You got one good step on it too before a blaster shot hit your thigh.
You crumbled to the ground from the pain of the close range shot, you desperately tried to focus on getting out of the situation or fighting your way out of the 5 men, but before you could find your footing again, the manās foot was on your shoulder, painfully pressing it into the ground. You still tried to get a shot off at him, but he was easily able to pry your blaster from your hand.
āHe sure picked a feisty one.ā The hunter chucked before grabbing you by the shoulder and pulling you upright. You were surrounded by 2 other men before you were fully upright, one on each side of you, dragging you back towards the ship.
āShe destroyed her controls.ā The first man told the others, lifting the destroyed band.
āThatās fine, her biometrics should open the ship using the panel at the door.ā Another pointed out. You were never more thankful for how paranoid Mando was, while your biometrics were required to get to the controls, to undo something like ground protocols, or really anything, a 6 digit code was also needed. And only you knew your code.
You probably should have let them figure that out themselves but you couldnāt help but laugh at them.
āWhat the fuck are you laughing at?ā He growled.
āOh, just that even with a big ass head, you have a tiny fucking brain.ā You chuckled. Your insult only earned you two fingers pushing into the wound on your leg, making you cry out.
āNot laughing now.ā He smirked, happy with his work. He didnāt waste his time forcing you to the panel, pressing your hand to the reader. You could feel how smug he was when the light went green. There was a moment of anticipation, then the code boxes popped up and you felt the anger and annoyance that he felt realizing what had happened.
You felt the blaster pressed into the back of your head as he took a step away from you. āOpen that door right now or I will shoot you.ā
āIf you kill me youāll never get in.ā You pointed out. You knew that the next few hours or days, depending on how long Mando took, wasnāt going to be pleasant, but you had no plans on giving them that code. You would rather be killed. āGo ahead and shoot me now, because it does not matter what you do, I will never give up that code.ā
You turned around slowly, looking down the barrel of the gun, directly into the manās eyes. You refused to let him think he had you scared, you wanted him to realize that he would fail, that you would die before even thinking about giving up Mando or the kid.
āWeāll see about that.ā He locked eyes on you, lowering the gun only slightly. āTie them up,ā You were quickly grabbed and dragged over to a tree that was near the entrance of the ship, you were bound to the tree tightly, a little wiggling told you that you werenāt getting out very easily.
āAlimar! Can you get that damn door open?ā The man you assumed was in charge asked the smallest man, who was beside the panel.
āI am trying sir, but the security is very tight and I am afraid that one wrong move and it will just lock down more.ā
āWell donāt make a wrong move. I want that damn door open before The Mandalorian gets back here.ā
āNow you, youāre going to make his job unneeded and youāre going to tell us your code.ā
āAgain, not happening.ā You rolled your eyes at him. Your answer earned you a swift and strong fist to your gut. You groaned at the pain but straightened yourself.
āFine, stop, the code is 654321.ā You said, making yourself sound more out of breath then you were.
āDonāt enter that!ā The man in front of you shouted to Alimar, who was about to enter it as if you would give up that easy.
āIs that the code you enter to warn your little mandalorian? You think Iām that stupid?ā
āI guess youāll never know if I ever even give you the right code or if what I say will do any number of things, from warn Mando, to locking it down further, to self destroying the ship.ā
āYou wouldnāt risk the kidās life.ā He glared at you, but you could tell the wheels in his brain were turning. He had to think of a way to get you to give him the code, but he had to be able to be sure it was the right one.
āWell I guess that just leaves the hard way. Canāt trust you until I can break you.ā
He wasnāt lying, he had no intentions of going easy on you. He had started by changing your position, tying your hands on a branch that happened to be at the perfect height above your head. You knew this position left you much more vulnerable, and he took full advantage of that.
He started with his blaster, a shot to your shin, followed by asking for the code. You gave another random combination of 6 digits. He then walked away, towards the panel, he would examine it, then walk back. A shot to your forearm, followed by the same question. You gave another 6 numbers. He walked away, only to come back, this time with a knife.
He gave you a deep cut on the outside of the thigh that hadnāt been shot previously. You hadnāt been able to hold in the screamed pains you had been letting out after each infliction, which only seemed to make the man in front of you smile.
You didnāt know how much time had passed, but you did notice the sun beginning to set. He started to leave you alone for longer periods, which was good. You werenāt sure how many more you were going to be able to take. You were just praying that Mando would be back soon.
Even if you didnāt last much longer, you also started to worry about their resident mechanic. You kept your eye on his progress and were scared that he could actually manage to get through the door.
It had quickly become dark, the only light coming from the lights on the ship. You could tell it was also cooling down as well. You tried to ignore the shivers that were running through your body but there was no use.
āShit!ā You heard the man who had been on watch utter. āBoss! We got a problem, heās here.ā
āFuck!ā The man in charge frantically looked around trying to figure something out. You were about to let out a scream, something to warm Mando, but right as you opened your mouth, one of them shoved a cloth into your mouth.
āNot gonna happen.ā He tightened it around your head, making sure you werenāt able to spit it out to warn Mando.
āGood, all we need to do is hide, when he gets here, heāll be distracted with them, and by the time they can even try to warn him, weāll jump him.ā Their leader told them. They were quickly to gather the little they had and find themselves spots that they would go unseen.
You just prayed that Mando would catch their body signatures through his visor first. If he noticed them before he noticed you, then he would have a chance of fighting them off. If their plan went their way, and he was distracted by you, there was a chance they could overpower him.
You heard your name being shouted, you turned your head to see Mando, his focus solely on you. His helmet never left you, even as you shook your head viciously, trying to get him to look anywhere else, but he was in front of you quickly.
Mando was looking you over, you could feel the anger and tension that was radiating from him. Though at the moment all you could think about was warning him. You were trying to yell through the gag, but it stopped anything comprehensible from coming out.
āWho did this to you!?ā Mando asked, a sharp edge to his voice, one that sent a shiver down your spine. He was quick to untie to gag, realizing you were trying to say something.
āBehind you!ā Was all you could manage to get out as soon as the gag was undone.
He only had a moment to turn around and realize that he was faced with exactly who did this. His blaster was fired off before he even fully had time to process what was transpiring. His shot landed, though you were sad to realize it took down the least threatening, the mechanic.
He begins to go for the other four men, but one manages to kick his blaster out of his hand, he is left trying to fight all of them with just his hands. You tried to get out of your ropes again, to no avail and were left to watch in panic and he tried to fight them all off. He had been knocked to the ground. Not one, but two of the men on top of him holding him down. You watched as he went to use his flame thrower on his arm to get them off him, when the leader was quick to step down hard on his wrist, stopping his ability to get the flames anywhere that would be helpful.
You watched in panic as he thrashed around, trying to gain any leverage but he was outnumbered. The leader got the third man to take over holding his arm down. The two men on top of him shifted slightly, just enough so that their leader could bend down in front of Mando.
āIt looks like you arenāt as sharp as everyone says.ā He taunted. āI was expecting more of a fight, I didnāt think that you cared about anything under all that metal. But looks like all it took to take down the great Mandalorian was capturing his favorite little companion.ā
āLeave them out of this!ā He seethed, thrashing more at the mention of you.
āOh, but why would I, when we had so much fun today while you were gone.ā He smiled disgustingly. āHonestly surprised they are even awake with all I put them through today.ā
His attention flickered to you for a moment, he was quick to notice you looked more panicked now than you had all day and he realized he might have just hit the jackpot.
āYou know, I always wondered what you looked like under that tin can. I bet you are hideous, itās not some creed that keeps that helmet on, but more that you are just so ugly no one would want to look at you.ā He began to bend down towards Mando. If he had been thrashing beforehand, now he was frantic.
āStop!!ā You screamed, grabbing the leader and Mandoās attention. āStop! I will give you the code, please, just leave him alone,ā
āIs that all it takes to break you? You donāt want to know what he looks like? Afraid he will have to kill you after you know?ā
āI think I have made it pretty clear today that my life is not what matters here.ā You sighed, āJust leave him alone and I will give you the code.ā
āDonāt!ā You heard him beg you, but your heart was shattering, you refused to allow these men to break Mando of his creed. A creed that you had witnessed how seriously he took. You would not be a part of that happening.
You locked your eyes with his visor, hoping that you were meeting his eyes. āIām sorry, I canāt watch them hurt you.ā Ā
āGood.ā The leader smiled, standing up over Mando. āNow no games. If the code you give me does not open that door, then I will take that helmet, kill your precious Mandalorian slowly, and make you watch. Then I will blow my way through this ship anyway and get the kid, and leave you to die. Do you understand?
āYes. No games, just promise you wonāt hurt him.ā You pleaded.
āYou have my word.ā You knew the word of a hunter like him meant nothing, and when you noticed that Mandoās free hand was reaching slightly for a blade in the side of his pants, you realized you had a plan, one that gave Mando the time he needed to get the upper hand.
āOkay. My code is 827364.ā You sighed, you gave the right number up until the last digit. The panel would light green for every correct digit, meaning that until the last moment, he would think that you were right. But you also knew he had to untie you because your bioscan would have timed out. This would hopefully allow you to give Mando some form of help, though you had minimal strength left in your body, you would try.
āFuck.ā He marched back over to you. āDonāt even think of trying anything.ā He told you as he untied you from the tree. You realized just how weak you were when you nearly collapsed. You saw Mando twitch at seeing just how bad of shape you were in, but now neither of you had time to do anything about it.
āLooks like you wonāt be doing anything even if you wanted to.ā He smirked, practically dragging you to the ship panel. He pressed your hand to it, reading your signal. Once he was no longer in need of you, he threw you to the ground away from him.
You groaned as you hit the ground. Watching as he entered the numbers you had given him. You realized he had made a mistake when you saw a blaster that was in your reach.
You put all your effort into stretching just enough to grab it without signalling to him or the others what you were doing. You saw him tap the last number and as soon as the panel turned red you let your blaster shot go off.
The man whose foot had been holding Mandoās hand down was suddenly stumbling back, and hit the ground. Mando wasted no time, his arm coming up and the flames engulfing the two men holding him down.
They screamed in agony as they rolled off the mandalorian. He got to his feet in record time and before the leader could think to retaliate against you, a knife was plunged into his chest.
Mando marched over to him and was above him as he stumbled back into the ship. Without a word he rips the blade out and stabs it back in the other side. The knife is out of him again, this time finding a place in his stomach. Next his thigh, until finally he has enough and with a quick swipe, the manās neck is sliced open. He tried to helplessly grab at his neck but within moments he was bleeding out on the ground.
You heard three more blaster shots before Mando was in your vision. āYouāre okay, youāre going to be okay.ā
You tried to nod, tried to stand up, but your body had given up on you. āIām sorry.ā You managed to get out. If you had only listened to him, you would have been in the ship and not put all of you in such danger.
āYou donāt have anything to apologize for.ā He told you softly as he wrapped his arms gingerly under you. āLetās get you patched up.ā
āI could have gotten us all killed.ā You whined at the pain as he lifted you.
āBut you didnāt.ā He sighed. He was trying to hold in the worry and anger that was still coursing through his veins. The pain and anger he felt seeing you tied to that tree, the last thing he was worried about had been his creed, and yet, you had. You refused to let them take away something that you didnāt even fully understand and he couldnāt help but love you a little more for that.
While that anger and worry could lead him to taking it out on you, you had disobeyed him, but you also risked your life for him and the child, and he couldnāt be mad at you for that. Instead he left all his anger to the men that were dead outside the ship.
He was as careful as he could be with you as he finally unlocked the ship and walked you up the ramp and quickly laid you on a cot so he could begin to patch you up.
āYou saved us.ā He adds softly as he notices you slip into sleep. He hoped you would sleep through the worst of the treatments if he was being honest, once he was sure you couldnāt hear him he added, āYou saved me.ā

No, Re-Destro Is Not Destroās Literal Son
and
Yes, I Will Die On This Hill
I have a number of small, persistent quibbles with some of the widespread misapprehensions I see included in BNHA fanfic, quoted as fact in meta posts, even cited on the wiki. Quirk cancellation restraints, what the 20% quirklessness data point means in practice, when Kurogiri comes into existence relative to the time of the Shimura Family Massacre, things like that. My biggest one, though, is as the title suggests: the idea that Yotsubashi Rikiya is Yotsubashi Chikaraās son.
I donāt entirely know where this confusion comes from. As far as I can tell, the early scanlations didnāt get it wrongāone rendered the line in Chapter 218 about Destro having a child he didnāt know about as being children, plural, but otherwise, they were all accurate enough. It seems people just assumed that the child mentioned in 218 must be Re-Destro, who was, after all, right there on the panel. Even though the scanlations never said it, even though the official translation never said it, even though ample evidence in the manga disproves it, the idea still got around that Rikiya is Chikaraās son.
I have and will maintain that this is obviously wrong if you stop to think about it for even a moment, but unfortunately, most people donāt. The error can be found on less well-tended parts of the fandom wiki[1]; itās in tumblr meta posts about the villains; itās in fanfic.
And now, god help me, it is on the official anime website, too.

Dialogue + Narration
There are two places where the relationship between Chikara and Rikiya is explicitly addressedāthe lead-in to the dinner scene in Chapter 218 and the fight between Clone!Shigaraki and RD in Chapter 232. If you include the Ultra Analysis databook, the number goes up to four: once each in Re-Destro and Destro Classicās character blurbs.
Letās take a look at each of those places, shall we?
The relevant Japanese text here is in the first narration box: åć©ć, kodomo.
Kodomo is not gendered. It literally just means child. The key kanji is å, ko. Like most kanji, it has a lot of potential readings, and you can add other kanji to it to modify it. Add ęÆ and you get musuko, son. Pronounce å as shi instead of ko, and you get a term that is frequently, though not exclusively, used to refer to boys. Add 儳 to that reading and you get joshi, woman/girl. å is in a lot of words, many of them gendered! Used for kodomo as Hori does here, though, it does nothing to indicate a gender one way or the other.
Also too, it does nothing to indicate that Rikiya is the child in question; it simply states that there was such a child, somewhere in the world. Now, the natural assumption for anyone who knows how the graphic novel medium works and who understands basic literary analysis would be that the significant character we just met is, in fact, the child in questionāexcept that everything else we learn about Destro and the original Meta Liberation Army here makes it entirely impossible.
Iāll do a full breakdown on why that is in the next section. In the meantime, hereās the next reference:
Here, weāre looking at the phrase the Viz translation renders as, āHis blood runs through these veins.ā The literal Japanese there is, Desutoro no matsuei chi o tsugu mono! In a literal translation, chi o tsugu mono means, āone who inherits the blood,ā or, more loosely, āblood successor.ā Itās matsueiāę«č£āthatās the key word here.
Japanese has several words to express the concept of ādescendant.ā Matsuei is one word; the data book uses shison. So whatās the difference? Well, Iāll talk about shison in a moment, but I had an inkling of it just from looking at the kanji in matsueiāāendā and ādescendantā respectively, leaving me with an impression of something like a final descendant or the terminus of the bloodline. Further research confirmed it: shison can refer to any lineal blood tie, but matsuei refers to a bloodlineās final inheritor, the person at the end of a long line of many, or even countless, generations. Itās the difference between being able to point to a grandparent and the kind of painstaking genealogical research that lets you[2] point to a famous royal from eight hundred years agoāmatsuei is a word that very much assumes the existence of those countless generations.
So not only does Rikiyaās line there not imply that heās Chikaraās son, but his specific word choice also tells us that he cannot be Chikaraās son. Thatās, uh. Pretty conclusive, I would say.
Lastly, though, thereās also the data book. This is, perhaps, the actual closest youāre going to get to a manga equivalent of those character blurbs on the anime website, at least until such time as Hori deigns to give the MLA types character profile pages. (I live ever in hope.)
There are two relevant bits of text, one in Re-Destroās entry, and the other in Destro Classicās. The first describes how Re-Destro organizes the MLA as Desutoro no chi o tsugu mono: the same phrase he uses for himself in the manga, minus the matsuei. @codenamesazanka (the one who told me about the databook references among other citations, bless) rendered it as āDestroās blood successorā; I have also seen it given as āthe successor of Destroās bloodline.ā Note again, the lack of reference to a father/son bond.
Chikaraās entry uses that other descendant word I mentioned before, åå«, shison. Notice that the term uses that ko kanji from kodomo before? As it does in joshi, å here reads shi. The other kanji, å«, means grandchild. Thus, literally, grandchild-childāor, in the vernacular, simply descendant.
And then we have the anime website.
So, for comparisonās sake, the anime website uses ęÆåāthe same combination of kanji that I said earlier gives you musuko, son. Heck, it even uses ē¶, chichi, for Destroāfather. Itās as explicit as itļæ½ļæ½ļæ½s possible to be, and I just donāt know why or how the anime website could fuck that up so bad when absolutely nothing in the manga describes the two Yotsubashis that way, and, indeed, one specific word choice actually rules out the possibility.
So, thatās all the manga says directly. Itās not the only evidence there is, though. In fact, the next piece makes it even more clear how colossally and impossibly wrong a father/son connection for Destro and his modern successor is.
Timeline
The long and short of this section is, āSince Harima Oji was Sako Atsuhiroās great-great-grandfather, there is no possible way that Destroāwho pre-dated Harimaācan be Re-Destroās father.ā If you read that sentence and nodded your complete understanding and agreement, feel free to skip ahead to the last section. If youād like the full explanation it takes to reach that sentenceās conclusion, though, read on.
So, aside from the word matsuei, the timeline is the most telling piece of evidence to my eye. I address it secondly rather than firstly because itās less direct than the explicit narration; it relies on drawing conclusions based on things weāve been told elsewhere rather than on the immediately relevant text. Oh, Mr. Compressās relationship to Harima is explicit enough, but on what am I basing my claim that Destro predates him?
Regarding that, thereās no explicit year relative to My Hero Academiaās current events given for when Destro and the original Meta Liberation Army were active; the same is true for Harima Ojiās escapades. However, we are given some broad-strokes information, relative not to current events, but rather to the history of heroism as a legal institution in Japan.
We know that there was a widespread, lengthy period of chaos following the rise of quirksācalled meta-abilities in those early years. At some point, however, people began to search for a way for meta-humans to live in peace with non-metas. The compromise that was reached was the foundation of professional heroism in Japanāwhile the use of meta-abilities would be legal in private settings, it was only by becoming licensed by the state as āheroesā that people could use their quirks in public.[3]
The legislation curtailing the use of meta-abilitiesāand the appropriation of a dead womanās language to popularize a law establishing exactly the opposite of what she used that language to call forāis what catalyzed the rise of the original MLA. Thus, we can position Destro as being alive and active around the same time that heroism as a legal institution was being formed. Since we further know that he committed suicide in prison, we can assume that his child was conceived at some point prior to his capture. Ergo, Destroās child, were they alive today, would be as old as Japanese professional heroism itself.
Next, consider Harima Oji, the Peerless Thief, a criminal who targeted the riches of āsham heroes.ā Weāre specifically told that he was active in the days in which the current system was settling into placeāe.g. he only became active once the Hero System was established enough to have produced corrupt heroes. Weāre told he preached reformationāhe wasnāt just some pre-existing criminal who saw a shiny new target in heroes; he had specific grievances which he wanted addressed by the system, and which the system was not addressing.
The earliest Harima could possibly be active, then, is concurrent with DestroāHarima fighting against the corrupt people who had found their way into the new heroic institution, and Destro fighting against using the institution of heroism to oppress non-heroes. What I think is more likely, though, is that Harima came after DestroāHarima needed to have had time to realize what kinds of fakes had been drawn to this shiny new career path, maybe even to spend some time trying to change things the legal way.
I donāt suspect they were separated by very longāI would imagine Destro was easily within Harimaās living memory, and might well have influenced why he chose the path of protest that he didābut I do think they were separate.
Moving forward, then, Mr. Compress is four generations distant from his famous ancestor. Thus, even if you assume that Harima is of the same generation as Chikara, thatās what youāre looking at for Chikaraās child: someone who, were they alive today, would be old enough to be the great-grandparent of a thirty-two-year-old man.
Re-Destroās probably a few years older than Mr. C, sure,[4] but that man doesnāt have Ujikoās slow-aging quirk. Unless you want to start pulling theories about cryogenic stasis the story for some reason never saw fit to mention out of thin air, Re-Destro is in no way old enough to fit the bill.
This is backed up by one other piece of the timeline as well, and one more place we can look at language:
The small child at the center of the image is Rikiya, so young that heās in schoolboy shorts for a meeting otherwise so formal that heās been made to wear a tie. Heās, what, six to nine here, tops? And the adults speaking to him say that theyāve been in hiding for generationsā代ć
, daidai, the kanji for generation followed by a kanji that just means, āSee that kanji written right before me? Yeah, just read that one again.ā
The original MLA was active for only a handful of years, and, per Chapter 218, they didnāt dissolve until Destro was captured. Thus, we can assume they have been in hiding since then, but not before then. With that in mind, this is another line that renders a father/son relationship impossible.
Remember, Chikara already had a child in the world circa his capture. If Rikiya were Chikaraās son, then Destroās capture and his armyās subsequent dissolution could not have happened any farther back than nine months plus however old Rikiya was in this exact moment of his youth. Rikiya, who we see here as a child of less than ten.
Ten years in hiding doesnāt make one generation; it damn sure doesnāt make multiple ones.
Now, you could make theories about cryogenic statis that would explain this ludicrous discrepancy, sure. You could also theorize about e.g. artificial insemination,[5] or time stop quirks, or any number of other possibilities in the vast panoply the HeroAca world offers. The point is, though, that you donāt need to. There was, in the manga, no discrepancy that needed to be explained. It is only fanon misinterpretation and a glaring disinterest in the seriesā villains from official sources that have presented this issue.
Iām praying that itās all just a misunderstanding on the part of whoever maintains the website, and that the anime itself will render the relevant bits of dialogue correctly. Given the extreme cuts and alterations that My Villain Academia has been subjected to thus far, though, Iām sure you can appreciate my being concerned.
ā¦So thatās the meat of it. The idea that Rikiya is Chikaraās son is wrong simply on the basis of whatās said in the text, and itās doubly wrong on the basis of the timeline. There is, though, one other thing I think points towards Re-Destro being exactly the descendant he says he is, not a son playing down the connection out of humility or something. This one is a lot more headcanon-y, though, so I saved it for last.
MLA Social Dynamics
Itās quite simple. We have, in the MLA, a group of people that venerates Destroās bloodline to an obviously unhealthy degree, putting up portraits of him wherever they can get away with it, tagging his successor with a āRe-ā as if to invoke reincarnation or miraculous return, entirely willing to throw their lives away for what they think was his cause, and othersā lives if those others say anything too scathing about the words Destro wrote, quite as if they treat Destroās memoir as some sort of holy writ.
They venerate Destro that much, and youāre trying to tell me that they wouldnāt just call a spade a spade and acknowledge RD as the son of their great leader? Come on.
Since long before I turned up the matsuei factoid in researching this piece, since long before Mr. Compress gave us such a helpful generational comparison, Iāve held the opinion that, given a group that holds their leaders in such high esteem, with such particular regard for bloodline, the only reason Rikiya does just call himself a descendant, rather than citing the specific term for what he is, is that the specific term is distant enough that it actually does sound more impressive to just say ādescendant,ā rather than something like, āgreat-great-great-grandson.ā That kind of thing just begs the question, āWhat took you guys so long?ā or, āYou and how many other people, buddy?ā
Mr. Compress may have the panache to carry off a line like that, but Rikiyaās a different story. If he had something so amazing up his sleeve as, āI am the son of the great Destro,ā I have to think heād just say it proudly, not fall back on the impressionistic vaguery of something like chi o tsugu mono. Even if I had no other evidence to work with, Iād think the sameāall the evidence you need is right there in the character writing of who Rikiya and the MLA are and how they talk about the man whose dreams Re-Destro was raised to carry.
A closing note: I will allow that Rikiya is being overdramatic when he uses matsuei and its connotation of countless generations. There are a few other things we can use to trace the history of heroismāUjikoās age, and the 18-years-or-less periods that One For All was held by its pre-All Might bearersāand running those numbers leads me to believe that it is, in fact, entirely possible to count the number of generations between Rikiya and Chikara, and the number, while higher than one, is probably not all that high. Certainly matsuei is being more dramatic about it than is entirely warranted, hence the poetic flourish of the official translationās, āHis blood runs through these veins!ā The theatricality only makes me fonder of him, however.

Seeing as Japan doesnāt even allow inmates conjugal visits in real life, much less in a setting where villains are so dehumanized that Tartarus is an acceptable punishment for them, the line about Destro āhaving a child out in the worldā takes us right back to a date of conception no later than Destroās final night of freedom.

Hello!! Well this came to my mind and would be interesting to put into words.
Something that her fans were right is that she hadn't to accept Rock Lee's confession and love. For them a No was No, which is hilarious becase their princess didnt do this with sasuke lol but anyway. After Lee saves Sakura in Death Forest, she changes her attitude towards him and started to be nice , she even defends him when Naruto said something aboout bushy-eyebrows. Even more, i dont actually remember scenes where she is rude against him after that incident in the forest. She tried to encouraged him and most of the time she was "nice" with Lee. In the Hospital in part 1 she was going to visit Sasuke and she also thought of Lee, so she gifted him some flowers too.
-All of this I speak from the anime canon, manga i dont remember tbh. Also in movies I remember her being nice with Lee too- So, what's my point and question? Why is she so bitchy towards Naruto? While she is nice -or try to- with Lee (which he fucking deserves this treatment of course) , why she is still so ungraceful towards Naruto? Naruto saved her much more times than Lee, but still she can be nice with him. I get that when you are confident with someone, you tend to "insult" more lets say. But i get that feel when naruto is around of shikamaru or the other guys. We know how he and Sasuke treat each other ā„ But still, i dont get this with Sakura. Even more, did she ever defend Naruto? From other people I mean. If she could change her attitude for Lee, being almost a good friend.

There is this hard fact that every author with just half a braincell knows, that is, 'IF YOU WANT A CHARACTER TO BE LIKEABLE, MAKE IT BEHAVE NICER TOWARDS THE MAIN CHARACTER'.
To be honest, I started to like Sasuke because of that very fact 'He was extremely nice towards Naruto in his own way' and later I started to adore him because of his own backstory. But the first spark was because of Episode 3, Orphan insult scene.
It seems Kishi never had that intention to make Sakura be an honest friend with Naruto even in The Last movie. So, ummm.... Yup.
Like you said, Sakura changed her attitude towards Lee and she encouraged him when he was wounded after fighting Gaara. But anyways, she again went onto being a bitch in the Kage Summit Arc, by leaving Lee on the road without any care!!! So... That's what you can expect from herš¤·š»āāļøš¤·š»āāļøš¤·š»āāļø But that's not the point of this post. Is it??
Point to be noted : Sasuke and Naruto insulting each other shows their comfort level with each other. Sakura harassing Naruto is not the same thing. Never.
I think she spoke for Naruto before Sasuke twice. One, In the forest of the Death. Two, Under the Bridge. But it doesn't matter.
She should've defended Naruto from Sasuke's attacks in Orochimaru hideout like Sai.
She should've worried about Naruto's wounds after Naruto came back like an Egyptian Mummy from fighting in VoTE in part 1. Instead she was worried about Sasuke alone.
She should've fought Sasori for Naruto's safety sake instead of getting information about Sasuke.
She shouldāve stayed with Naruto when he went with Karui to deal with Sasukeās Akatsuki activities.Ā
She should've stood up for Naruto in her final confession like 'Sasuke-kun, if you touch Naruto, I'll have to kill you eventhough I love you'... Yeah, she wouldn't stand a chance against Sasuke. But her character would've shined a lot.
So, Nope. She defending Naruto couple of times but letting him down countless other times doesn't matter.
WHY SAKURA TREATS NARUTO BADLY ?
After thinking about all the possibilities,
SOCIAL STATUS OF NARUTO
Sakura is the reflection of the Villagers' mindset. That is, The object of Hatred who should be treated like pest.
She definitely gave me that vibe in Episode 3. She literally treated him like a plague and I wanted to slap her so hard ever since. But even after the Pain Arc, I mean after Naruto became a Hero by making peace with Nagato, she still behaved like a Worst Bitch.
If she truly represents the social dynamics of the Villagers, she should have become a good friend like Shikamaru or Neji long back. But she didnāt.
So, we can safely eliminate this possibility.
SAKURA THINKS NARUTO IS 'THIRDWHEELING'
Well, This is from Chapter 3. So, I think whenever Sakura makes a move on Sasuke, Naruto accidentally comes in between her one-sidedĀ āduck dreamsā and spoil her party. It seems this has been going on for a long time. So, she just hates him for that.Ā
I found thisĀ ācoming betweenā thing twice in part 1. The first time was when Naruto stole theĀ āFirst Kissā of Sasuke.
Second time was when Naruto was about to fight Gaara.
Here, Sakura was fretting over Sasukeās cursed Seal and when Naruto asked her a question, she responded with aĀ āDevil Faceā. I mean is there any need to get angry at this time? Thereās a monster standing before them and all she worries about is her poorĀ āSasuke-Kunā and not even bothered about her surroundings, because Naruto will do the dirty job. All she can do is touch and worry about Sasuke.Ā
Well, In reality she is the one coming between them and she never realized that. What a self-absorbed Trash!!!
SAKURA IS JEALOUS
Naruto receives something from Sasuke that she never got from him, not until the very end and even today. That is, Attention.Ā
I noticed this in the Manga. Surprisingly, I guess none of the SNS bloggers brought this very cute panel up for discussion. Itās not in the Anime though!!Ā

As you see Sakura was watching Sasuke up close like a Fruit Cake. It seems, Sasuke doesnāt give 2 fucks about her or anyone!!!
Now Letās go back to Page 5 and see what happened earlier.
Naruto has been intensely throwing knives from his eyes. And you know what!!! Sasuke noticed it and asked himĀ āWhat?ā. To which Naruto asks,Ā āWhat do you mean what?ā. LOLLLLLL.
This is their First official conversation in the Manga.ššššš
Sakura looking at him with love doesnāt get any reaction and Narutoās angry stare get his attention. Well, this is not an one time occurrence!!
In the Same chapter, it occurred again
This panel screams,Ā āWhy pay attention to Naruto, when he is not here?ā. Kishi established this dynamics in freaking Chapter 3 and it never changed towards the end. LOLLL.
Even during Chakra Training, Sakura climbed the tree very easily in the hopes that Sasuke would appreciate her or notice her with admiration. But he was never bothered about her achievements even by a bit, but he paid attention to Naruto when he found out he was slowly catching up to himš¤š¤š¤.
I always find this scene very funny and cute because just like before, Naruto throws Daggers at him visually and Sasuke was like,Ā āWhat did I do this time?ā.Ā ššš
And this is after getting the pass to participate in Chunin Exams
Well, I donāt have to add the scenes from Orochimaru Hideout, Bridge scene and War Arc, Do I?
And the best part is Sakura knew that Naruto gets his attention. So, her jealousy is probably the reason for her to treat him so badly. Just like how she treats Ino. Since Naruto plays dunce in front of her, she takes advantage of it and used him like a Tooth Brush.
This is also one of the reason for her to treat him badly.
Because Lee never came in between Sakura and Sasuke. It was Naruto, the whole time. And that's why she was like a bitch to Naruto.
Kishimoto in his own words,
I mean, Come On!!!, Sakura is nothing compared to Naruto's power level, strength or jutsu varieties to consider him as a rival in these departments. Still she is considering Naruto as her rival.

The only thing that connects them is their obsession towards Sasuke's Acknowledgement. And Kishi himself is hinting at a love triangle with Sasuke as the central figure.
Does it means Naruto also loves Sasuke and Sakura was jealous of it???š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤š¤.
Well, that makes more sense. ššš. Because I can think of no other reason for her to be a bitch towards Naruto.

Who do you think should be a love interest for Red Hood/Jason Todd?
Oh, Anon, you sent me a very difficult question. I have been wanting to talk about my thoughts on love interests or ships when it comes to Jason but I always end up getting scared and donāt do it. But because you sent me this ask and I want to give you an answer, I will actually speak (write) my mind.
I like ships, I enjoy romances within stories, the name of my blog is based on one of my favourite ships from a tv show that I liked. I have also reblogged content that is about another ship that I like from an animated show but when it comes to the DC comics characters that I like (Dick Grayson and Jason Todd) I actually dislike romances and the idea of love interests, a lot. In Jasonās case, I actually hate the idea of him having love interests.
And thatās because of several reasons, but I believe they can all be enclosed into one thing, Jason doesnāt seem to be into romantic relationships or established romantic relationships. Every time they put him in one of those things start to make less sense, I will explain it more in detail because I will be going through every single relationship that was, hinted at, teased or official for Jason in the last eleven years. (Yup, I have found every single relationship that Jason has had forced and/or out of place).
This is, of course, what I think, you are allowed to think otherwise.
JASON TODD AND LOVE INTERESTS.
New 52.
Essence, Jasonās first kiss and some other things.
Essence was, as per New 52 onwards, the first person that Jason had a relationship with. (RHatO vol.1 #7). They met back in the All-Castle and with her, he said that he felt, for the first time after being resurrected āaliveā. Yeah, it is a little bit weird, letās suppose that Jason was 17 when he first met her, and when I say āother thingsā I do mean it, the panels are never explicit but there is enough information given and shown that tells us that Jason shared a lot of firsts with her.
But here is my first complaint, Lobdell didnāt need to tell us all that, in fact, he could just have told us that they were friends back in the All-Castle because when Essence is introduced in the story, Jason already thinks that she betrayed him and the All-Castle and he repeats several times that he either: wants to kill her or should have killed her in the past already. (RHatO vol.1 #7)
So, the first person that Jason had a love and/or sexual relationship with is now an enemy through betrayal, or so he thinks. After some back and forth and some other truths getting revealed, everything gets solved, Jason and Essence suddenly donāt interact much with each other.
We get another peek at their current relationship when she shows up in Royās hospital bed to help him recover from his injuries. There Jason says that she was his first kiss and that even though they have chosen different paths and they have tried to kill each other a few times they are still there for each other.
Wow, what a lovely message Lobdell, two people who have tried to kill each other and have an overall nasty/manipulative relationship, are still there for each other, which is what truly matters. Give me a break Lobdell, what is this? I understand this book is old by now but this narrative is not cute or special. They barely trust each other and they have been more than willing to kill each other but they are still on good terms, yay! Shut up.
Isabel, the flight attendant that may be a little too pushy at times.
Us and Jason met Isabel, the flight attendant when Jason is travelling along with Roy (RHatO vol.1 #2). Her introduction is very sexualised and Jason and her flirt a lot, he āchecks her outā but he is also thinking that Isabel is better off not crossing paths with him anymore, but apparently that isnāt what she thinks because she leaves her number along with Jasonās drink. He is very surprised about that fact.
Jason had been struggling with the idea of calling Isabel because he didnāt want to mix his vigilante life with his normal life, thatās why when he calls her, he hangs up as soon as she answers the call. (RHatO vol.1 #7).
But that insecurity is thrown out of the window (apparently) because he does go on a date with Isabel even though he is doing everything possible to hide his double life (RHatO vol.1 #10). Isabel seems to be having an amazing time and as they reach Jasonās hotel, he offers to call her a cab, which means ādate is over I want to go homeā, but Isabel has other ideas she starts pushing him and saying maybe I donāt want to leave just yet and Jason is a little uncomfortable but Isabel just kisses him. Yeah, non-consensual kissing happens and this is the first (but not last) time it happens. The kiss is interrupted by someone else and the whole thing ends up with that someone (Orc), Kory, Roy and Jason talking.
Jason was so ready to make Isabel go at the end of their date earlier that he barely notices her when Kory and the others show up. She is literally on the floor asking what is going on and Jason doesnāt notice her until after they are teleported to a spaceship. Jason was so out of it that he didnāt notice her up until Roy pointed her out. How insane is that? What are you trying to say, Lobdell, Jason is an asshole? Or was Jason so uncomfortable on that date that he forgot that the date was still going on?
After they all realise that they are all stuck in space in the middle of an intergalactic war Isabel and Jason talk. Isabel lets Jason know that she thought that their date was boring and bad because Jason was trying to hide his real life, she also asks Jason why a vigilante asked a flight attendant on a date and he deflects that question like a pro. (RHatO vol.1 #11-12). You see, I think that Jason decided to go on a date with her because he thought thatās what he wanted or to prove himself that he could have something ānormalā.
When they finally go back to earth Jason kinda acts like a jerk towards Isabel at the beginning but at the end of the issue, we see that Isabel invited Jason to stay the night at her apartment in Gotham, happy times happen and while Jason is in the shower Isabel gets attacked by Joker. The Joker made it seem like Isabel overdosed while Jason was in the other room which destabilised Jason a lot. He calls the cops and she is taken to the hospital after Jason leaves the apartment. (RHatO vol.1 #14-15) The last time we see her she is in the hospital recovering.
A long time passes by and we only see Isabel again when RHatO changes writers for a few issues, the author of Isabelās comeback is Tynion. We see Isabel entering her home after a date, when she goes inside, she notices some weird robots and those things were put there by Jason who wanted to invite her to a private resort as a date. (RHatO vol.1 #28). Isabel decides to go and when Jason gets too wound up and is ready to kiss her, she tells him that he needs to slow down because a long time has passed since they last saw each other and she is quite mad that because they went on one date and she ended up on space for days and then got attacked in her own home. Jason is a bit taken aback by what she says but he doesnāt get to say much because a fight breaks out. Talk about signsā¦ maybe they shouldnāt get together at all, you know what I mean?
After the fight was over, Isabel told Jason that she canāt do this (their ārelationshipā) any more, but that if the fight ever ended that he could go back looking for her. So, she ābreaks upā with him but still kisses him before leaving. If you are leaving someone because you donāt feel like things are going right why on earth will you kiss them goodbye? Itās not like they were on a five-year-long relationship, they only went on two dates! Maybe this is not that big of a deal but come onā¦
Kory, this one wasnāt a ārealā relationship but the idea of it was forced.
Although Kory appears in the first issue of RHatO we didnāt know then how Jason and Kory had met. That story is told later on and it begins with Jason appearing on the shores of an island where Koryās ship was stuck. He is in and out of consciousness but we do see Kory taking care of him as he recovers, we also see that Kory has a little bit of heart eyes for the mysterious man, but that was because Jason looks like Dick Grayson (someone who she had dated and actually remembered even though she said she didnāt).
After Jason finally wakes up, he goes to her and she gives him clothing that used to belong to Dick, Jason knows those clothes are Dickās but when he asks Kory who they are from she says that she doesnāt know (she was lying). After Jason gets dressed, he decides to tell Kory who he is and his story, so he tells Kory āHey, there is something you need to know about meā and Kory kisses him. Ah yes, more non-consensual kissing, how wonderful! Jason is taken aback and Kory tells him that her people assimilate the knowledge that way, Jason doesnāt make a big deal out of it but I will. Lobdell, you knew that Kory didnāt have amnesia, and you know that Kory has been on earth for quite a long time, there was no need for that kiss. As the reader, I know that thatās how Tamareans learn stuff but I also think that Kory shouldnāt kiss people just to know new stuff! It baffles me that they are still doing this, it was silly then and it's silly now, stop the non-consensual kissing and then excusing it because of fictional alien traditions or whatever, just stop.
But I didnāt put Kory on this list for the kissing, I put her here because even though it was never explicitly shown that Jason and Kory had any type of interaction, there were some hints about it, like that time that Roy asked Jason if he was mad because he had slept with āhis girlā to chich Jason answered something along the lines of āshe is not my girl and she can sleep with whoever she wantsā. (RHatO vol.1 #2)
But thatās not all because Lobdell gave us yet another moment in which Kory kisses Jason without his consent and Jason is written once again alarmed, this time even Roy is present and he is a little bit mad because his girlfriend is kissing someone else in front of him. At that point, Jason and Roy both knew that Kory wasnāt new to this planet and that she had been in a relationship with Dick Grayson previously. Because of all that, Lobdell passing yet another non-consensual kiss as Kory trying to tell Jason that he wasnāt alone in his fight doesnāt sit right with me, itās even worse when you reach the end of the issue and Kory leaves both Jason and Roy on their own. (RHatO vol.1 #32) Yikes, Lobdell, yikes. (This is no hate to Kory or the other women on this run, this is pure hate towards Lobdell, please donāt get me wrong, he is the one being nasty).
Rose just appeared so Lobdell could tell us that she and Jason slept together.
Poor Rose, so many female characters being dragged into this mess by Lobdell, she really didnāt deserve this. She appeared in the last two issues of this run, two! Only for Lobdell to set up the idea that she and Jason had some fun nights in the past, honestly, who let this man write women?
Their interaction went like this: āHey Rose, love that maskā āYeah, Iād considered a heart tattoo that said āJasonā with an axe hacking it in twoā āIām flattered, but I think you made the right choiceā after Jason said that last part, he continued with this, āYou want to explain what youāre doing here trying to kill us? I remember the last time I saw you; you had a big, satisfied smile on your faceā. (RHatO vol.1 #39)
Really, Lobdell? She appears in the last two issues; you have them have that conversation and then in the last issue they are the only ones left (after the outlaws disband, RHatO vol.1 #40) but we never see her again, Rose isnāt mentioned in Red Hood/Arsenal or RHatO Rebirth, she isnāt mentioned any other time. Lobdell just thought that Jason didnāt look like he had fucked enough in the past so he decided to let the reader know that he had had some action. I hate him.
Barbara, this pains me, poor Babs, she didnāt deserve that.
No, Lobdell wasnāt the one who wrote this mess, it was everyone who wrote Batman Eternal. I mean, what was this group of men thinking? Where they playing darts and they had all the batboysā pictures up on the wall and in whichever the dart got stuck, Barbara will get stuck too? Is that what happened? How often do they play this game, can they stop?
I donāt remember having read Batman Eternal and quite honestly, I didnāt want to put myself through that after I made myself read New 52 RHatO twice because I had forgotten to take notes of what had happened in each issue (I hate myself). So, I will only talk about the absurdity that was Batman Eternal #19 and #28.
All of the ārelationshipsā that Lobdell came up with, were forced or out of place or both but this one takes the cake. Itās so simple and short, but oh, so annoying!
The phrase āYou will never be Dick Graysonā coming out from Barbaraās mouth and it being directed at Jason should tell you just how many levels of wrong we are working herewith. Their whole interaction in this book seems to come from that phrase, how on earth do you build up a romance from that? Am I going crazy? Am I missing something? Come on, be honest with me.
Jason being the one who makes Barbara shake off mind control because he told her that he āonly remembers whatās important, like the day he met Batgirlā, I am sorry but what? I really donāt have the words, he had even said before that he thought Babs liked him because she looked nervous, what is this writing? Since when does Jason care about Barbara? They met once when Jason was Robin and she was significantly older, what are these writers on, crack? (Batman Eternal #19)
But thatās not the worst thing, later in the book, they switch roles and Jason is apparently no longer interested in Barbara but she is all like āmaybe you should stay this time, Jason. Help the family. Save Gothamā and Jason says āGothamās never been enough for me Barbā and I am not kidding, she tells him āWhat if there was moreā¦?ā That was hilarious, my gods, they must have been high when they wrote that because that is just too wild for me.
And Jason, the absolute beast that he is, says, āNo. Because Barb, itās like you saidā¦ Iāll never be Dick Graysonā (Batman Eternal #28). Jason, you dramatic little shit, what is going on? Why did the writers put us through all that just to end up being like āBabs is thirsty for Jason but he has already moved onā, what was the point of these interactions?
Yeah, thatās all I can say about that, letās just move on to the mess that was Rebirth.
Rebirth.
Artemis, a new player enters the game.
While we did meet her in the first issue Jason isnāt seen being flirty with her up until they are in a bar and Jason is really drunk, he tells her that she has beautiful green eyes and Artemis is like, āif you are hitting on me, I will punch you in the headā (RHatO vol.2 #8), Lobdell back at it again with that mix between flirting and violence that I hate so much, lovely. But I guess this meant that Artemis was setting boundaries.
Boundaries and kinda thrown out of the window when later in the book we have something like looked like the start of a kiss that didnāt really happen because they were interrupted (RHatO vol.2 #11). Jason also acts a little too cheeky in two instances in another issue, one of them was a bit funny the other one no so much because Artemis was talking about how she had let only three people into her heart and one of them was now dead and she might have been losing another one, at that moment all Jason has to offer is āabout that third personā¦ does his name rhyme with Rason Rodd?ā, which was a bit out of tune of him. (RHatO vol.2 #13).
The big surprise though is that out of the blue we have an issue called āDate Nightā where Jason and Artemis seem to go out on a date! What? We are moving on so fast! (Spoiler Alert: Jason thought it was a date, Artemis only wanted to talk about how weird Bizarro was acting at the time). One of the things that really caught my attention was how differently she was characterized in the issue and that within the story Jason hadnāt realised that Artemis wasnāt really acting like herself either. It could have been a cute date if not for the fact that Artemis wasnāt acting like herself because she wasnāt āreallyā on a date with Jason. Also, Lobdell does love to hint at Jasonās sex life, before they went on the date Bizarro said āuse it (the teleporting door) all night if you needā and Jason responded, āI donāt think we will be needing it all night. I mean, if we do thatās okay, but Iām not, like, expecting anythingā, it was kinda funny but yeah, come on! (RHatO vol.2 #19).
From that issue, we jump to the great finale (or not) of this āepicā āloveā āstoryā, the so awaited kiss between Jason and Artemis, oh yeah baby! A couple of issues with flirting, a date that wasnāt a date but maybe if Bizarro wasnāt going insane at the time (who knows?). This kiss obviously comes with the separation of this team of outlaws, Jason is left alone on earth while Artemis and Bizarro are swallowed by a portal of sorts. Jason finally gets the kiss that he so desired, but at what cost? (RHatO vol.2 #25). Brutal issue for Jason, it was also like a special edition because it was bigger and that makes me laugh because all Jason did in that issue was suffer, how unlucky can this guy get?
We donāt see Artemis for a while but when she does come back, she is being controlled by something and itās making her want to kill Jason, so to shake whatever was controlling her, Jason kissed her and hoped for the best (it worked). See, Lobdell can change! Before it was women forcing Jason into a kiss, now itās the other way around! Yay! (RHatO vol.2 #41).
After all that we see Jason and Artemis spending some time together, it looks very friendly, they even have a very nice moment when Artemis hugs Jason as he lets himself grieve the loss of Roy. Jason also seems aware (this time) that Artemis is acting a little off and he gets her to talk about how much she missed her axe. It feels like they are taking it slow, they are figuring themselves out after so long, they probably won't kiss and make things complicated, right? Yeah, no, they do kiss, but they each pretend that it was like kissing a sibling. In the end, Jason does say that he lied and that he knows that she lied to him and that was okay with him, my only critique with this is: Why did they have to kiss? They could have waited instead of kissing and then lying about their feelings, what is this, Wattpad? (RHatO vol.2 #42)
Their relationship comes to a halt and we end up seeing them together (in a messy bed, twice) at the end of Lobdellās run. But even though those two had their fun and Jason almost told Artemis that he loved her, things werenāt really meant to end with them as a couple because at the very end of the issue Artemis says her final goodbye to Jason. She says, āThis is it. The end of us. Iām not being mean. Iām genuinely happy for you Jason. You have grown so much since you started the outlaws. But you donāt need us anymore. You donāt need me. Tell me Iām wrongā to which Jason responds, āI canāt. But if I ever needed anyone, it would have been you, Princessā. (RHatO vol.2 #50).
All in all, this was the best-developed relationship that Jason had, but so much about this, one could have easily been transformed into a friendship between the two. You will see better what I mean after I talk about Isabelās presence in this run. Maybe it is just me, but a solid friendship between these two could have been spectacular, mostly because of what had happened in that one annual that had Dick as a guest.
In that issue Jason was very jealous of Artemis having the most obvious heart eyes for Dick, she was very flirty with him and he was a real gentleman with her. When she offered to take him back to his trailer at the circus he said yes and there, as they were walking towards his trailer, Lobdell wrote the best piece of dialogue in his ten years writing Jason. Dick asked, āSo, are you and Jasonā¦ together?ā to which Artemis responded, āMe? And Jason? Anyone and Jason?ā. How is Lobdell so blind to his actual interesting takes on Jason Todd. Aromantic Jason was right there Lobdell, but you had to push your shitty version of āromanceā every step of the way! (I am fine with Jason having a fantastic sexual life but listen, Jason being aromantic was still possible).
Essence, first Jason accused her of betraying him but now *Uno reverse card*
Do you guys remember that Essence and Jasonās last interaction in New 52? Jason said that even though they were always fighting or willing to kill each other they also will always be there for one another? Well, when Essence comes back in Rebirth she plans on killing Jason because apparently this time around he was going to betray her. Their very first interaction in this run (RHatO vol.2 #35), consists of Essence saying, āI donāt know if I should kiss you or kill youā to which Jason responds, āwhy do you have to choose?ā. Lovely, Lobdell is back at it again with his shitty version of quirky āromanceā, if he is trying to write them as sarcastic, he needs to do a better job at it because itās not a good look, and not everyone has read his New 52 run so introducing these two in this book this way is kinda not good. But then again, maybe thatās just me.
As a fight ensues after they said those things, we are shown panels of Jason and Essence when they were together in the All-Castle, they would be cute panels if not for the fact that they are currently fighting to the death. It is an insane contrast, and Lobdell also has Jason think āI was the first human trained by the All-Castle. She was the only heir to a throne she never wanted. It was never going to work out between us.ā But the thing is that it did work out between each other until Jason left the All-Castle, when they met each other again they had both been fed lies about the other and neither of them seems to want to look for clues to make sure that those rumours of betrayal were true. One will think that now, one of you might not feel so confident when they think the other will betray them again, you went through this already losers! But I donāt blame Jason or Essence for their stupidity, I blame Lobdell.
The fight lasts a few pages but it will end with Essence stabbing Jason with her āBlood Bladeā (not to be confused with the All-Blades, those are Jasonās), but here is the thing the Blood Blade comes with a curse if you draw blood from someone innocent your soul will be trapped inside the blade. This is what happened to Essence because Jason was innocent of what she was accusing him, just like she was innocent in New 52 when Jason accused her of betraying him and the All-Castle. Boring.
Now here is the thing, Essence might be dumb or she didnāt know how the Blood Blade worked because later on in the book, the blood blade is teleported by Essence (she was still inside of the blade) to the front door of Isabelās home. The very next time that we see Isabel she is unconsciously sharing a body with Essence after touching the blade. She possessed her because at that time she still believed that Jason wanted to ādestroy the worldā (RHatO vol.2 #45). It wasnāt long until she realised that she was wrong and then teamed up with Jason once again. (RHatO vol.2 #46).
Lobdell, why must you recycle stories all the time and make women look stupid? Why would she still believe that Jason was up to no good after she got trapped in the blade? But my point here is that this is supposed to be Jasonās first love and their relationship consists of, flirting, remembering the good times, and almost killing each other every time they see each other because *betrayal*, itās so tiring and annoying. Do better.
Isabel, aw, shit, here we go again!
Lobdell really had ladies ready to appear in Jasonās life when another had just left. This is one of my major problems with the way Lobdell writes all of Jasonās relationships. It would be lovely if DC and Lobdell just outright said that Jason is only interested in having sexual relationships that arenāt meant to last a long time. Because the way they had him involving himself with women seemed a little sketchy, in #25 Artemis finally kissed him and he seemed pretty happy about it, but then she was gone and now that Isabel appears in Jasonās life again, he acts as if Artemis didnāt exist.
Isabel shows up at the Iceberg Lounge after Jason made public his comeback and his management of the place. One would think that given how things ended up in New 52, Isabel would like to take things slow, after all, she had told him that he could go back to her if he stopped living his double life, but no, she talked to him for a few seconds and then proceeded to kiss him out of the blue. Lobdellās favourite type of kissing makes a comeback, how nice, I didnāt miss it at all!
I want to be honest with you, maybe I am being too harsh, maybe these are all āsurpriseā kisses but in a way, it still doesnāt feel right, this is not the first time that someone kisses Jason when he doesnāt expect it (Isabel has done it multiple times already), but he is written as if he didnāt care, and that is not good. Men can feel pressured into kissing someone or can feel like they are being harassed. Lobdell and everyone on this creative team seem to think that being kissed by someone you havenāt seen in very long out of the blue is romantic or cute or sexy or whatever but it has repeated itself so much that I only find it uncomfortable and annoying to read and see. (RHatO vol.2 #33). Maybe it was just me because in that issue where Isabel goes to the Lounge they get attacked and she is not at all bothered by it, this time around, Jason even tells her that her safety is his first priority which is quite funny because the first time they were in a date Jason forgot she was present and only realised that she had been teleported alongside the outlaws to a space ship when Roy pointed it out, but I guess Jason is a different man now. I guess he wants to cultivate a relationship with her now.
And he might because your boy asked Isabel on a date in Paris. They just happened to both be around Paris at that time but here is where Jason says something that makes me speculate as to why he is actually dating, he thinks this, āIsabel Ardila. A flight attendant. Maybe the only normal person Iāve ever allowed in my life. Donāt ask me why.ā
Well, Chonky, I wonāt be asking you anything, I will actually give you the answers as to why you are letting Isabel into your life. You do it because you equate dating to normalcy, but I am here to tell you that it's fine if you donāt want to date and form romantic bonds, it's not something normal, it's just something some people do. If you like going out with her because of the sex or whatever then thatās fine too, but if you have to question why you are doing something, maybe you shouldnāt be doing it at all.
Jason looks a bit uncomfortable, and we also see that he is feeling sad and lonely because he misses Roy. He even thinks, āsometimes, she even makes me feel normalā. All of this normal talk really speaks to me about Jason trying to have friends outside the job but he doesnāt know how to approach that so he dates women because it makes him feel normal. I can relate to that feeling in a way, and I just think that Jason is confusing friendly love with romantic love, I donāt even know if he knows of the existence of platonic love. A reader that understands those feelings can see that maybe Jason is struggling to feel normal when he realises that he doesnāt love the same way as others. The thing is, I donāt really think that is what Lobdell intended to do, he just wanted to push two of his agendas, Jason has an active sexual/love life and Roy Harper was Jason Toddās best friend and the only one who is allowed to suffer his death is Jason. In fact, back at the time, Jason was actually one of the few people (or maybe the only person) allowed to mourn Roy.
When the date is over and Jasonās walking Isabel to her hotel, they have a chat where itās revealed that Isabel thinks that Jason isnāt still living that double life, she actually thinks that Jason is only working as the owner of the Casino, Jason doesnāt correct her. And then there is this very weird line that Isabel says, āThe airline picks up my tab. This way you know I donāt love you for your moneyā, Jason is very taken aback when he heats Isabel say that she loves him so he manages to say ādid you justā¦?ā but Isabel stops him with a kiss and a simple ānopeā. Jason moves on and goes to work because he is still doing the vigilante gig, the double life, that Isabel thinks doesnāt exist anymore. (RHatO vol.2 #34).
Isabel and Jasonās relationship has always looked forced to me, in rebirth, it was even weirder because Jason had just kissed Artemis and when she was gone, Jason kind of acted as if it didnāt matter that much to him and moved on easily with Isabel, but now Jason is acting kind of sketchy too because he is hiding his double life and the last time he did that Isabel ended up in a lot of trouble. I really donāt know if Lobdell remembers his own shitty writing but he should remember this stuff.
We move on too, and now Isabel has come to visit Jason at one of the events that the Iceberg Lounge has got going on, once again Jason is acting a bit strange because he was having trouble at the time with the idea of his biological father actually trying to contact him before he was killed and he was also having trouble because he was in Gotham after his adoptive father beat the living shit out of him and ābannedā him from stepping foot in Gotham again. Jason seems to open up a little to Isabel but just as he starts doing so, she tells him she has to leave. Jason looks hurt for just one panel and then he moves on with his (double) life. (RHatO vol.2 #35). This is the issue where Jason also comes across Essence and traps her in her own blade.
Because everything falls apart in what was one of the best arcs written by Lobdell, Jason sends Dog (Jasonās dog) to Isabel, so Dog can be safe. (RHatO vol.2 #36).
We see Isabel after some very long time, and she is described as āThe on-again/off-again girlfriend of Jason Todd. Currently off-againā, at this point in time Artemis was back to being herself and Jason had kissed her and all that. I am just saying, Jason obviously isnāt comfortable in a established romantic relationship. Lobdell dances around that idea a lot, every time with all these women.
This is the issue where Isabel finds the Blood Blade outside her home. (RHatO vol.2 #43).
As you can see, I have problems with Lobdell not handling the relationships very well, there is no concrete information being told to the reader or the characters within the story about how Jason wants to date, we never know if the women in the story know that Jason has been dating/flirting with other women. I am not saying that is bad but it would have been nice if Lobdell just used his words to tell us what he is doing.
I feel like saying that Jason is the kind of man that looks for sexual relationships without commitment isnāt something that will break the world in two. All the āromanceā is incredibly forced, just say that he isnāt into romantic relationships my dudeā¦ unless Lobdell really thinks that the āromancesā that he came up with are actually well written.
Anyway, Jason didnāt know that Essence who he has been fighting against and then alongside was actually Isabel, so, when Isabel and Essence get separated for a moment Jason is surprised. After Isabel tells him that they are in the middle of a battle so she is going to let Essence control her body again, Jason tells her that he āloves herā. (RHatO vol.2 #49). Does he love her for doing that or does he love her because he likes her? Hmm, thatās a good question, it is never actually answered in comics because we donāt really get to see Isabel or Essence after that happens and in the following issue (Lobdellās last) Jason and Artemis seem to have been having a very fun night and they also kiss, Jason had even kissed with Artemis before he told Isabel that he loved her.
As you can see, its all very messy, Lobdell really said āJason canāt be directly or indirectly single but I wonāt really explain what is going on to the readers or to the characters within the storyā, and that speaks volumes about how bad Lobdellās writing is. This man simply cannot remember the things that he writes, he literally had Artemis say that she didnāt think she could see Jason dating anyone and then she wants to date him and Jason had already been dating people before that statement was made! It was all so messy! It makes all these side-romantic plots pointless; Jason was lonely because he constantly lost his friends, then give him friends! Friends are nice DC, stop making it about romances when you can just give your characters solid friendships.
Barbara, this time the pain is brought to us by Geoff Johns
I put Three Jokers as part of rebirth because I still donāt know if that garbage of a book is supposed to function within actual canon or not but it came out while Rebirth was going on so thatās why itās here.
Now, the whole book was bad, we can all agree on that but Johnsā handling of Jason and Barbraās ārelationshipā made me sick. This is another thing that writers love to do to Jason, write him as the kind of man that cannot take rejection and continues to be pushy about his feelings. Please, DC, donāt ever let Johns write another comic for you, itās embarrassing at this point.
But in this book Jason wasnāt the only one acting weird, Barbara also did some weird stuff. In this run, Barbara thought of Jason as an unhinged criminal that needs to be locked up but Jason had heart eyes for Barbara every time they saw each other, their whole dynamic was wonky and weird. They even fought before and after Jason killed one of the Jokers.
But thatās not the real problem, the problem was that Johns decided to make Jason get tortured by the remaining Jokers while naked, this man was found naked, injured and mentally unwell by Batman and Batgirl after Jason and Batman had a fight, Barbara decided to take Jason to her home so he could recover.
Jason has just come out of the shower, he was clearly mentally and physically exhausted, and also very vulnerable. When Barbara came into the room Johns had them have a conversation while Barbara was fully clothed and Jason was just in a towel, and he was talking about how lonely and not cared for he felt, he was opening himself up to Barbara and apparently, Barbara (Johns) thought that the best she could do was kiss him, you know, to offer support.
Honestly, what the hell do male comic writers smoke when they write? You donāt show support to someone that has clear feelings for you with a kiss, to then pull away and say that āwe committed a mistakeā, we? Girl, come on, you made a mistake and a huge one! But one will think that Jason realised that Barbara did make a mistake when she kissed him and he also accepted the fact that she didnāt feel the same way as he didā¦ well, not really, Jason is actually written as the kinda guy that doesnāt take well rejection and the kind of guy that keeps pushing for something between him and the other person to happen.
This man asked Barbara three times if she could give him an opportunity after the first rejection and he kept getting rejected! But that is not all because we all know that at the end of the book Jason left a letter (that thankfully Barbara will never see) in Barbaraās door when he asked again to give him a chance and that he would change who he was for her, he would actually stop being the Red Hood for her! Was Johns on crack? He had to be! The levels of wrong that are being messed around with here are out of the charts! Jason Todd, who has different values and morals than Barbara Gordon would stop being Red Hood just to get a date? Boy, donāt be dumb! Do male writers think that we are going to swoon over this kind of writing, do they expect me to applaud? I wonāt!
This ārelationshipā was forced and incredibly out of place and out of character for everyone and it pissed me off even if it doesnāt affect canon because the writing is bad and the narrative is worse! If you love someone you shouldnāt change everything about yourself to be with them AND if someone says no or rejects your advances then the only thing you should do is back down!
This shouldnāt have to be said!
Future State
Rose, if you know me then you know that this is just a big no for me.
In the Future State: Red Hood story we are shown in the first panel of the first page that Jason is sharing a bed with someone else. We get to know pretty early that someone is Rose. The setting for their relationship is awful, both of them are working for the magistrate, they hunt āmasksā otherwise known as heroes or vigilantes.
Jason hates his job and is known for bringing his āmasksā alive, Rose on the other hand seems to have adapted easily while working with the magistrate and she is known for bringing the āmasksā dead.
First red flag, why are two people who have such different ideals in a relationship together? Let me remind you that the Magistrate is not a good corporation or idea for Gotham, they are basically domestic terrorists and Jason is bringing them people that are like him (he is there undercover). Jason is going against everything that he is in order to infiltrate the Magistrate, Rose seems to be having fun. She brings the subject between them without care and seems to not really understand that Jason doesnāt like the work that they are both doing and that he doesnāt want to talk about it as if it were a normal thing that every couple does.
The second red flag in just a couple of pages is Williamson having Rose say āThis is why we make sense. Daddy issuesā, wow, are we really doing that, Williamson sat there and said Rose and Jason can make a good couple because both of them have unresolved problems with their parental figures, how wonderful. To me shared trauma isnāt a deal-breaker but sure, if you want to make one of your characters revolve her relationship with her partner around trauma, then thatās on you.
Jason also had a big problem with Rose attacking people who are hiding from the Magistrate because they are actually giving food to the āmasksā and to people who donāt have to eat. Rose doesnāt seem to care and that makes the relationship a bit tense. So far, there are not many positives for this couple.
Things only get tenser, people are going around wearing those red pill looking helmets that Jason used to wear in Batman and Robin (2009), the funny looking ones, and those people are just normal people that are stealing food so they can eat or take them somewhere else. Jason is following one of those people and telling them that he doesnāt want to hurt them, just talk but Rose shows up and kills them. Jason is angry and Rose goes on a rant about how being a āmaskā is against the law so she had a right to kill him.
Together they figure out that those people were being controlled so they go looking for whoever was behind those helmets.
They are tense and Jason is very cold with her even when she tries to lighten up the mood, but shit gets worse when they both receive an alert to go hunt another mask: Jason Todd.
Rose wants the money. Aw, nothing says healthy relationship more than murder.
The apparent reason why the Magistrate put a target on Jason was that he had the helmet that he took from that boy, when he realises this he puts it on and hopes that Rose finds him through that, so she can help him if he gets in trouble.
Jason gets mind-controlled through the helmet and is forced to fight rose, they fight for a while and then Rose breaks the helmet. Jason says āknew you would find meā and Rose responds āyou are lucky I have a crush on youā, ok, is Jason okay with Rose wanting to kill him a few minutes ago when the alert on him came out? Thatās not a big deal for them? Ok.
Jason seems to be in love with Rose even though they think differently and they are written with as much chemistry as a history book, he cares for her and does everything to save her when they get attacked by the Magistrate.
When they escape the initial attack, Rose grabs Jason and tells the Magistrateās drones that he will take the bounty for Jason but that she will deliver him alive. Jason is surprised and angry but then the drones just leave. And we are left with Jason and Rose on a rooftop alone after Rose seemingly tried to betray Jason.
Do you know what Jason does next? He tells Rose that they should go on a holiday. He cares and keeps wanting to protect her from the Magistrate. Are you kidding me? This is so messed up; I want to remind you that these were the only two issues for this story. This is all the information we had for a long while and it is disgusting. DC really let this thing be published!
Rose betrays him twice; he is willing to harm him on some level and he still wants to be with her? Am I understanding that correctly? Later on, he keeps wanting to protect her from the Magistrate after he has evidence that they are hyper corrupt.
The point I want to make is that Jason and Rose shouldnāt have been introduced to us in this book as a couple or as people who have been sleeping with each other for a long time. I donāt know why this needs to be said but having a couple where one of them can think of killing their partner is absolutely awful. And then they make it worse by having the āvictimā act like it doesnāt matter and that they should work on protecting the person that wanted to betray them.
I understand that there is a Future State: Gotham run going on with a Jason story in it written by Williamson but I donāt want to go near it. Future State: Red Hood made me uncomfortable and it made me cry out of frustration. How did this story get a pass by the editor? Itās disgusting, and itās that because of this absolutely forced ārelationshipā that Williamson wanted to put in.

My point with all of these ācouples/love interests reviewsā is that writers need to be more conscious about what they write and about how some readers might perceive some messages.
Non-consensual kissing, harassment and all those things shouldnāt be part of the dynamic of two people that you are trying to put together. If there is some non-consensual kissing you can simply put a panel where the person apologises for their actions, but not even that is shown in these cases.
Comic writers need to be more aware of the way they write relationships. Yes, these are fictional worlds, people and situations but you are still playing with real-life interactions. Making some things appear in comics as normal things that you do to your crush/partner or whatever has an impact on people and writers need to become aware of this.
Lobdell was dying to let us know that Jason had a very active love/sexual life, great, but you need to show healthy relationships or make things clear about the relationships that Jason had. So many interactions that Jason had with women were overlapped with each other and the reader doesnāt know how to take it, is Jason a player or is he into open relationships, to me, it didnāt look like that but hey, maybe the writer would let us know? No, he wonāt, because all he wanted to do was make Jason ādateā more women.
Here is the thing, I have always felt like Jason was Aromantic, he likes having sex and having fun, but established romantic relationships arenāt his thing. It is what feels right (to me) with this character. And thatās (in part) because of all these messed up relationships that he was forced into. The two times that Jason seems to ābe in loveā are in Three Jokers and Future State: Red Hood, those two books are horrendous when it comes to Jason and love interests, in one of them Jason acts like the kind of man that cannot and will not take well a rejection and in in the other Jason acts as if he were blind to the abusive actions his partner does to him.
None of those two concepts are healthy or nice. Writers need to do better about that, they just have to.
So, to answer your question, I donāt think Jason Todd needs a love interest. Not as the main plot or subplot, maybe as a vague mention but nothing else, because comic writers suck at writing healthy and well-developed relationships. And because I really see Jason as the kind of person that wouldnāt involve himself in a romantic relationship with anyone.
I know this answer is more a rant than an answer but this subject is one that I have thought about a lot and it really made me nervous to bring it up. To everyone who thinks differently about these relationships, I understand and keep doing you, these are all just my thoughts and they are not worth more than yours.

Tutorial: Comic Book Gifs
I got a request for a tutorial on how I create gifs stylized like comic books, so I will be walking through how I made this gif (from this gifset):

Iām going to break this tutorial into 3 sections: organizing the panels, creating the comic bookĀ ālookā, and adding the sound effects.
1. Creating the Panel Layout
1. Start by deciding how you want yourĀ ālayoutā to look. These really donāt have to be too fancy: usually Iāll just do rows of 1 or 2 panels, but if you need help getting a rough idea of what a layout might look like here are all my comic book edits. Again, nothing too fancy (unless thatās what you want).Ā
Itās probably best to plan which gifs are going in which panels in advance but I kind of make it up as a go.
2. Create a new psd and start in video timeline mode. Then using the rectangle tool, draw the rectangles based on your desired layout:
3. Create the gifs you will use for each panel. (Note: Itās important that the # of frames in your gifs are all the same.)Ā Make sure the gif is in video timeline mode & is converted to a smart object. No need to sharpen yet - we will do that later. These are the four gifs I will be using (one per panel):
The framerate is a little fast right now but thatās ok - I will fix this at the very end.
4. Now, you want to drag your gifs onto the psd.Use a clipping mask (ctrl + alt + G) to attach the gifs to theĀ āpanel boxesā. To resize your gifs within the panel you can just use ctrl + t.
So this is where we should now be at:
4. Final step is to add borders. So click on the rectangles, and then click onĀ add layer style -> stroke to add a border. Personally I like the borders a little thicker to make it look moreĀ ācomic book-yā. So I use a 5px stroke with position set to center:
And this is what our gifs should look like now:
So now weāre done with the setup, and we can move onto styling.
2. Styling the Gifs
1. Start by just applying your usual sharpening settings (I used a surface blur & smart sharpen).
2. After that, add a poster edges filter to the gifs. You can do this by clicking on filter -> filter gallery -> artistic -> poster edges:
These are the settings I used for this gif, but I do tweak them a little depending on the set (Iād recommend playing around with it a little until you find the setting you think works nicest for whatever scene you are giffing):
3. Click on the little arrow next to it and adjust the opacity. I usually like to set it to 50%:
4. Now, to add the halftones click on filter -> pixelate -> color halftone. These are the settings I recommend using:Ā
5. Click on the little arrow next to the halftones filter and adjust the blending options. I recommend setting opacity to no higher than 50%. You can use overlay, soft light, or darken - again, I usually play around with various setting until I find whatever I think looks nicest. These were my settings for this particular gifset:
So now our psd looks like this:
6. Final step is to add some coloring - I went for a bright & greenish coloring, so this is what I ended up with:
And now the gifs are complete. All thatās left is adding sound effects.
2.1 Save and ReopenĀ (Optional)
A thing I like to do before adding sound effects is to save my gif and then work with the gif as a fresh psd. My photoshop starts to get really slow once I add all these filters. Adding the sound effects requires analyzing every single frame and this is a pain when photoshop is being slow. I find saving my gif and working with that instead makes photoshop much more tolerable so I do recommend these quick steps:
1. Save your gif. this is what it looks like currently:
2. Open your gif in photoshop:
3. Switch to timeline mode & convert to smart object:
4. Save as a new psd, which we will now be working on.
Ok, now onto the sfx!
3. Adding Sound Effects
For the sound effects there are actually two parts here: getting the sound effects and then animating them:
3.1 Getting/Making Sound Effects
First step for adding sound effects is to get the actual png images you will use. I actually got all my sound effects off the a:tla comics. This process is pretty straightforward:
1. Open the online comic book (I recommend comiconlinefree(.)net), find the sound effects you want and take a screenshot (I use snipping tool for this). For this particular gif, I am using theĀ āshingā sound effect from the bottom panel:
2. Open the screenshots in photoshop, and use the pen tool click on each letter, then right click 'layer via copyā. You should now have a separate layer for each letter.
3. Highlight all of the individual letters, right click, and convert them into a smart object. Then add stroke (I used 3px):
You can also use layer style -> color overlay if you want to change the color.
And I repeated the process for the swish sound effect:
Now that we have our sfx, itās time to add them to the gifs!
3.2 Animating the Sound Effects
Ok, this step is definitely the most tedious. I recommend doing this one panel at a time. So letās start with the first one.
1. Using the timeline feature, go frame by frame until youāve decided where you want your sound effect to start. This is the frame Iāve decided I want the sound effect to start on:
2. Now drag the sound effect onto the psd and use transform (ctrl + t) to resize accordingly:
3. Add a layer mask (layer -> layer mask -> reveal all). Using the rectangular maquee tool, draw a rectangle around the panel the sound effect will be in:
Then right click -> select inverse. Now, with your layer mask selected, click on the paint bucket tool. Set the color to black and click on the psd. Unlink the layer mask from the layer by clicking on the link symbol in between them. Your layer mask should now look like this:
This will prevent your sound effects from flowing outside the panel.
4. On the videotime, click on the arrow to the left of where it says āLayer 30ā². Then click the little clock to the left of āTransformā. It should now look like this:
5. Move a couple frames ahead. Click on the diamond by the transform button:
Now, use transform (ctrl + t), to resize/rotate/move your sound effect to where you want it to be in this frame:
6. Move a couple frames forward and repeat:
Continue doing this until your sound effect animation is over.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other sound effects you want to add. This is how I animated theĀ āswishā sounds in the 3rd panel:

9. Final step: save your gif, reopen and adjust the framerate (if necessary). And this is our final product:
And weāre done! Then you can just repeat for every other gif in the gifset!

[ Misconception: Rangiku moves on fully after Gin and doesn't grieve him. ]
send me a misconception you think people have about my character and Iāll explain if itās true or not. | Accepting
Hello! And thank you for coming to my TEDTalk today. The concept that Rangiku moves on and doesnāt grieve Ginās death is 100% false ā when in actuality Rangiku is grieving the loss of Gin well before his death. I am going to attempt explain with both canon and also my interpretations; the only problem with using canon is that unfortunately Rangiku suffers from what I trademarked last time at 2 AM in bed as āSurface-Level Storylineā, #RangikuDeservedBetter.
While I would classify Rangiku as second-tier main character, she isnāt deemed important enough to really get to see what makes her tick. We donāt see a lot beyond the surface-level, her character isnāt developed beyond that for one reason or another. And unfortunately, Rangiku plays the all-important factor of being Ginās driving force, reason for redemption/pity, but thatās it. We see more how Rangiku matters to Gin, but we never really see the reverse because Bleach in Shonen and theyāre only allowed what, 1 main love interest storyline, otherwise the world ends?
Anyways, back to the main topic.
From the start of the Soul Society Arc, Gin is introduced as a villain and upon reflection and rewatching, we actually donāt see Rangiku and Gin interact all that much. Again, this is one of the things that truly infuriates me about this ship because it created mainly in tension, flashbacks and one-sided narratives and only in Ginās death do we get any sort of canonization that there is/was a relationship between the two; beyond just the concept of them growing up together. Itās only in the dramatic conclusion that we see Ginās true intentions and his true feelings, where his heart truly lies and who it lies with.
Now, in those flashbacks and one-sided narratives we see it at first from Rangikuās point of view. Whenever Rangiku dwells on Gin, questioning his motives or what heās doing her tone* (in the anime), and her demeanor are often sad, confused. Other than their original flashback panel/scene for first time meeting/introduction, most of her thought process on Gin revolves around his notorious abandonment/disappearances from her life.
Waking up to find footsteps leaving wandering away from their little shake, the view Rangiku has of Gin in more memories is that of his back. Sheās constantly questioning his motives, his reasonings, wondering what heās plan is for her, what he truly wants out of her. Her inner monologue during her fight with Kira is literally asks that exact question. Here was see that Rangiku doesnāt even know where she rests in Ginās life. They had become Shinigamis because of his desire to make sure she doesnāt cry anymore, which should seem like a cementing force in their places in each otherās worlds. But Ginās actions speak to the opposite of that. Itās as if his narrative goes from this protector of Rangiku, this desire to fulfil some sense or purpose to something entirely different once he comes in contact with Aizen, after he becomes a Shinigami.
As the Soul Society Arc wraps up and we see the departure of Aizen&Co, the idea that Rangiku is already beginning to grieve the loss of Gin starts to take shape.
Sheās grieving the loss of the boy she once knew; sheās grieving the man she thought she knew. I also think sheās starting to grieve the loss of the future she thought they had. She states at one point āThatās what I hate most about youā¦ā we can only assume that it is his disappearing act because that has been a reoccurring topic when it comes to Rangikuās narratives revolving around Gin, but I also want to point out that it could be regarding to Rangiku not knowing Ginās motives.
It is only at the end of their character development arc that we find out the whole truth, but Rangiku never truly does ā this notion that Gin keeps her at armās length to protect could be the something she hates. The walls that Gin has built around himself, the faƧade that he has crafted has kept everyone out, including Rangiku and she is starting to realize how she doesnāt know who Gin really is and why. But also, the fact that Gin leaves her with nothing ā but questions.
The stages of Grief are:
1. Shock & Denial
2. Pain & Guilt
3. Anger & Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Upward Turn
6. Reconstruction & Working Through
7. Acceptance & Hope
Obviously, the manner in which grief manifests for each person is different and how long they move through the stages is unique to each individual. Because Rangiku suffers from Surface-Level Storyline Syndrome we donāt see any of these stages or mentions of these stages until depression, in the filler Reigei arc, and while that is not recognized as canon, I think itās important to mention and will come back to this later.
It is my belief that Rangiku is already going through stage 1 and 2 during this period. The shock of Ginās betrayal is the first manifestation of her grieving process and while Gin isnāt dead (yet), heās gone, itās a break-up, a loss of the person most important to her. Sheās in pain, she feels betrayed. The weight of being one of Ginās most important, longest connections brings in a sense of guilt ā how did she not know, how did she not see, how come she couldnāt stop him.
These feelings have to be weighing on her for much of the Arrancar Arc and Fake Karakura Town Arc and it comes to a dramatic head at the Winter War.
You can simply see the ferocity in her gaze the whole interaction with Gin prior to his fight with Aizen. Compared to how she looked at him the last time she saw him as he left Soul Society verses how she looks at him upon their reunion.
At some point weāve entered the stage of anger but at the same time weāre still in denial because Rangikuās question to Gin, to which Gin turns back on her ā is how could he do this to Kira?When in reality she was asking āHow could you to do this to me?ā
Itās also interesting to mention the lack of Ginās smile during the entire interaction with Aizen. I would safely assume that Gin didnāt expect Rangiku to make some dramatic show of force, to show up in her state because she had to know she wasnāt strong enough to take on him, let alone Aizen. Itās almost like during those few precious moments, heās trying to recalculate his plan, which is why he ferries her away and places her under kido. And why he continues that rouse to Aizen in claiming that he killed her.
Of course, this leads to Ginās āIām a snakeā monologue ā referencing back to TBTP. Small side note, it wasnāt until years of watching, reading and writing Bleach that you start to notice these little things; but Ginās narrative has always been defined by the āIām a snakeā statement when in actuality heās always been depicted as a fox or kitsune which in Japanese folklore are considered āfaithful guardians, friends, and lovers.ā I could write a whole research paper on this, but anyways back to the good stuff.
It is during the Fake Karakura Town/Winter War that the transition happens in the GinRan ship. Up until this point it was always from Rangikuās point of view but now weāre getting Ginās. We have the narrative in our heads that Gin is this terrible person, heās a villain, heās working with Aizen, heās betrayed the people he cares most about and then BOOM. He flips the script.
The true reveal takes place, we see Ginās motives for everything ā and that motive is Rangiku; what was done to her; what was stolen from her; Gin is seeking revenge. In order to do this, heās kept the driving force, his whole reason at armās length to protect her. In the end, he fails.
And the grief process for Rangiku starts over.
After the conclusion on the Winter War are we sneak a peak at how Soul Society and the rest of the Shinigami are moving on. No one has come out of that war unscathed and thatās the whole point ā the loss of those three captains was a ripple effect that didnāt just hit each individualās division directly, but it radiated out to those around them. The personal impacts that each of these captains had on so many among their ranks. Weāre given this insight by Rangiku, who sees those around her picking themselves up, dusting themselves off, realizing their shortcomings and working to grow stronger. They wonāt be defined by that one battle, they wonāt be defined by the loss of their mentor, theyāre moving on.
Rangiku claims that she too is moving on, and that Ginās bad habit of leaving her with nothing is actually a sort of blessing, she has nothing to cling to, nothing to hold onto, nothing to keep her back from stepping out and moving forwardā¦which is utter nonsense. While Gin may have left nothing physically for her to hold onto, he left her with everything emotionally, and mentally.
Rangiku never learned the reason for Ginās actions, no one besides Aizen truly knows what happened to her as a child, who she is and what she was. Gin kept that from Rangiku for all those years, he never had the chance to explain her role in his actions. So, what did Gin leave her with? Questions.
Gin also left her with all the memories she has recanted over all the arcs leading up to this, as if the image of him lying there dying isnāt seared into her brain. As if her birthday isnāt going pass and she isnāt going to think of him, of why that day is important.
Weāre back to the stages of grief, sheās denying that she has anything to hold onto. Sheās still in a state of shock, sheās mourning his loss. I have referenced before that in the filler arc after this there is a mentioning of a month having passed and Nanao mentions to Rangiku that itās good to see her kind of coming back to her old self to which Rangiku sort of questions what she had been for the last month ā in which Nanao responds in kind that she had been depressed.
Now this isnāt canon, but I think it ties in rather well, because unfortunately with Bleach being a shonen feelings are kind of just dropped like a hot potato. One moment theyāre sad and then not anymore. We donāt see really any other character suffer besides that of Ichigo, but then we have this moment where someone else mentions that another characterās personality has been off for a month (shocker off-screen however).
Now comes my interpretations.
For the whole period of the Soul Society arc until the end of the Winter War you are seeing Rangiku going through a grief process as well as character development. She is learning during that whole time how to live without Gin.
In the beginning, itās simply learning to live without him romantically perhaps. Since Aizen references that he always assumed Gin has āfeelingsā for Rangiku, I have personally headcanoned that they had a relationship that may have been one of those āworst-kept secretsā in Soul Society. Everyone knew they were together, but it was meant to be hush-hush, however as things were beginning to heat up with Aizenās plans, I have always pinpointed around the events of Isshinās disappearance, Gin ended things ā out of protection for Rangiku.
Ginās betrayal cements this process, Rangiku needs to learn how to live without him in her life and without him in Soul Society. Their lives had been so interwoven for so long that pulling back would be a process, learning to live without him would be like learning breathing again. It wouldnāt be easy.
While she has proven to herself that she can live, thrive and survive without Gin in her life, the idea of death isnāt exactly what she had in mind. The idea that heād still be there ā without being there ā is where her mindset is at until ultimately, she is forced to truly let him go for good. And so, she grieves, hard, for months, if not years ā if not for the rest of her life.
One has to, right? To see the man, you loved die before you, not knowing why, not understanding his motives, never getting the answers to the questions you donāt even know you should ask, it must be torment.
They were in a sense soulmate, meant for one another ā Gin devoted his life to literally a stranger. He had no idea who this girl was, but he saw a crime being committed, he knew it was wrong and swore vengeance on someone he didnāt know without even knowing the girlās name first. And Gin was Rangikuās whole world, when someone doesnāt start counting the days until theyāve met you, youāre important, youāre literally their everything. She is basing the passage of time off of when she met the boy who saved her life. To lose that person, it canāt be something you simply get over, in a month, or a year. You simply slowly start to come to terms, with the new reality and the new normal. That void never goes away, the hole in your heart is never going to be filled, not by drink, not by another person, not by things. It lingers and for a time it gets worse before it gets better.
Now, of course, I have to talk about the haircut. The start of The Thousand Year Blood War is 17 months later, so over a year and a half has passed, and I donāt think that is enough time for Rangiku to have healed or to be out of her grieving process/mourning period. I think it will be with her forever, but we enter a new stage in the grief process, the Upward Turn and Working Through.
Itās pretty clichĆ© to do the whole āNew Hair, New Youā thing after a break-up, but I get why itās done. Itās meant to show growth, itās meant to show the passage of time, itās meant to show the letting go of oneās former self. For the most part prior to the events of the main storyline of Bleach, Rangiku always had shorter hair. So, itās kind of natural for her to go back to that to start over. Iām not against it, I think itās a way to show that she had let go somewhat, moved on to a point she felt comfortable with.
The way I have written Rangiku is that after the events of the Winter War, thereās a pronounced shift in Rangiku. Thereās a more complex level of emotions to her after Ginās death ā sheās able to eventually return to a resemblance of her old self but sheās never quite there. The majority of her soul was taken by Aizen, but that hurt far less than when he stole half her heart.
TLDR; Rangiku did grieve and continues to grieve for Gin after his death, but over time she processes his death, learning to accept her new reality and in some sense of the manner move on while still holding onto the memories (the good and the bad) that she had with the man she loved from the moment she saw him.

"What a shame." Maul spoke, turning himself around and walking away the Pyke leader following him.
This was wrong.
"If we came for this it better be important." Hunter spoke snatching the drive, "we leave now,"
"Me and Jacob they'll return you to your ship." The teen spoke up, "but be quick we'll need to leave with the transports."
It was a silent stealthy journey back to the ship, Echo being pushed along the way by Wrecker mostly as he was trying to process what was being told to him.
So...Y/n was dead? No that was possible- they couldn't of killed everyone.
He walked onto the ship the twins wishing them luck as they rushed back off into the darkness. He took a seat on his bunk, removing the head gear and mask, his gaze trapped within the grain of the metal.
"Tech get us out of here." Hunter demanded.
Wrecker watched Echo, his brows furrowed and in conflict.
"Hey. Kid." Wrecker spoke nudging Omega softly, "Good job out there."
"I just stuck to the plan." She smiled.
"Wanna do one more mission?" He asked playfully she nodded happily.
"Go find Lula. I think someone needs her." Wrecker spoke as Omega nodded rushing to find the Tooka doll.
Wrecker walked over to Echo, sitting across from the reg, Echo kept his gaze down.
"Hey."
"I don't, I don't understand." Echo responded, "I- I don't..."
"It's okay-" Wrecker tried to speak.
"But it isnt." Echo seethed.
The sudden jolt told them they had jumped to hyperspace. Echo rubbed over his eyes.
"What was Y/n's family doing associated with the Empire..." Echo spoke, "I...I don't..."
Wrecker frowned, Hunter watching the cockpits doorway, his brother lost and confused, let down and heart broken.
Walking into the cockpit the door closed behind him.
"You'll want to see this Hunter." Tech spoke, "Echo was right."
Hunter took a seat, "Y/n's code name is Rosyln then?"
"In a sense yes, yet It is many things." Tech informed, "It's multiple things, a name, a code name, a secret military operation."
" a what." Hunter demanded answers now.
"On this disk it says Project Rosyln was ment to help in implicating...hunger in a sense.."
"Hunger?" Hunter asked, "Hunger for what?"
"Flesh, sentinel flesh," Tech responded, "They had many failis dead on contacts, until. Rosyln."
"The dead brother of Y/n's Echo mention." Hunter spoke as Tech nodded.
"He survived it, partially, resulting in an outdated inner rim disease known as Cancer." Tech responded, "though it is not sepcified what type, he died young."
"So how does Y/n fit into it?"
"Rosyln was Y/n's younger brother by adoption law on corosaunt, and the Zabrack was not lying when he said The L/n family was ontop the imperals kill list, it was ment for them to go into hiding, to essentially metophorically and phsycially slip into the dark." Tech contuined.
"Okay so the kids?"
"Test subjects." He responded, "farm animals, future death troopers fueled by anger and loss, much more. Hunter, They weren't a family, those people they called there parents? Used them."
"Can we save any of them? Y/n? The older kids? The young ones? Anyone?" Hunter questioned.
"This here is a list of kids of Y/n's family," Tech spoke, plugging into the panel infront of him as the hologram formed, "red are dead, there eay of leaving is by there name. Jay here died of rejection of food, he starved to death. Siora drowned herself in the shower room-"
"Thats enough Tech. Who's alive." Hunter demanded.
"Y/n here is still alive, but that is all." Tech responded opening the file, "but has a number of unstablizing test ran on him, it shows here his diet was starting to change from normal foods to sential flesh, but before they could change him fully he escaped."
"How."
"Unknown."
Hunter was silent, for a moment as Tech closed the file, going through the others, "This also contains other information, such as helpful codes the imperals are now using, current inflation in imperal troopers, comn chatter and resources-"
"Don't let Echo see this." Hunter spoke.
"Hunter, I. I don't think this is a good idea." Tech told him, "You'e seen what he'll go through already to see him again. Hunter that was a sith he went up on, a Pyke leader."
"He doesn't need another thing to have a mental break down on. What happens if we find Y/n? Dead in a ditch-." Hunter argued, "if we can't fix him- we can't even help Crosshair None the less ourselves!"
"Hunter, he deserves to know." Tech defended, "let's be real here Hunter, we've nevee been there for him, we saved him from one hell to put into another, we can't help him because we don't understand him."
Hunter was silent, he knew Tech was right, "You're right." Hunter told him.
Tech pulled the disk from the panel looking back at Hunter, "Hunter I know this is hard. But this is his family. And I wish for a time in my life, I was wrong."
Hunter stayed silent walking out the cockpit, and down the small hallways, Omega trying to cheer Echo up with Lula and Wrecker with a supportive smile.
"Echo."
Echo looked back, "Tech wants to uh...show you something."
Echo got up without a word walking into the cockpit.
"Is he gonna be okay?" Omega questioned looking up at Hunter.
"Sure he will!" Wrecker tried to stay postive looking back at Hunter who kept his gaze down.
"Not this time Omega." Hunter told her, as she leaned in for a hug, he patting her head as she hug his stomach.
Tech walked out the cockpit, the doors closing behind him, "Echo wishes to take first watch while we rest," Tech informed.
"Where do we go next from here?" Omega spoke looking up at Hunter.
"We'll keep working jobs for Cid, seeing what we can do." Hunter responded, "Tech when Echo is done with that disk, see if anything on there has Crosshair on it."
"I have alredy copied the disk, I will look through it more on my watch after Echo's." Tech responded.
Hunter nodded
"hey kid." Wrecker spoke up, "lets go play a game together."
Omega nodded as Wrecker picked up Omega the two walking away to her room, Hunter mentally thanking Wrecker.
"How'd he react." Hunter responded.
"He hasn't." Tech responded, "I left it plugged in. He has the option. I just don't know if he's used it."
It was true, Echo had the option, the wanting, but he sat in his chair, staring at the disk sitting in the panel.
This was it.
This was the ticket, he could know, move on, grt some type of closure either Y/n was dead or alive. Even if Y/n was dead or alive he let Y/n's biggest secret slip.
'Just...I don't like people to pity his name.' Y/n told Echo, the two standing in all black together and umbrella over head as they walked the cemetery, 'he fought hard, that's all that matters, and there's no reason you should pity someone for when you loose,'
Echo nodded at him, 'I won't tell anybody, I understand to a degree, but if you need to talk, I want to listen,'
Y/n nodded, 'Thanks again for comin along Echo, not the best way to meet my baby brother,''
'I was glad to meet him, either way,'
Echo rubbed the back of his neck, finger's scratching at his nape. Standing up and walking over his hand hovered over the disk, should he pull it out? Should he press that small white button to let every fear he's had consume him?
He pulled the disk out, this was the right choice. Whatever he needed to know. He'd learn from y/n when he'd see him. Rubbing over the disk he slid it in his belts pouch and sat in the piolts seat looking out into the blue swirls. He was doing it again.

"It's done." Lom Pyke spoke, "The kids are out, where is the spice."
"It's on the ship don't you worry." He spoke.
"You've returned the favor after I've said you returned the favor."
"Then we've returned the favor." Lom Pyke argued.
"I did everything you asked!" Lom Pyke argued, "I've stuck my neck out for you more than you can imagine you cannablistic bitch!-"
The pyke leader was cut off, lifted into the air as he gripped at his neck, and brought forward quickly, choking on the lack of air.
"Do you know who I am?" The man questioned quietly.
"L-let-" the pyke tried to speak stratching at his neck for breath, "let me g-go!"
"Oh...you don't?" The man questioned, "I was afraid once...not to long ago, afraid as you are now..."
The sound of choking made him pause adding slight pressure, "p-please!"
"I am no longer afraid...I am..." the man thought, any more and the pyke leader would die, "Well, funny thing is, I don't even know who I am anymore...but I do know, that, you, owe me much more than you think."
The man was dropped to the floor, attempting to catch air, "Perhaps, you wish, once to see who I was, to see how I became this thing you call a cannablistic bitch!"
"Please! No-" He defended, raising his head to look up in plead, "Not again! Not that place!"
A hand was placed on his head, as the Sith lord walked in. Within a matter of seconds the Pyke fell limp, the man pushing him over as he fell and rolled down the small stells of the elevated ledge.
"You're here for a reason Maul?"
"I am indeed, that clone, you told to meet us on Zut, there were clones."
"Entertain me Maul." He spoke, walking down the small steps, the hells of his boots clicking as he made it down the steps.
"Seems you're little buddy Captain dipshit isnt the only clone that's defected. That little Ray shit of your's hacked the imperal files." Maul spoke, his tone as usual, dark, broody, annoying to the mans ears, "Clone force 99, may just be on our side."
The man snatched the datapad from him, "and they have a child with them. How wonderful."
"Status' as of current."
"Like I said that dipshit of yours sursingly has his corners covered. Ray's tracking them as we speak." Maul told.
The man looked through the photo's there he was in all his glory, sure angry but just as remembered.
"Lets hope an ex sith lord, a fucked up group of clones, a cannablistic bitch kill, and some kids can help kill your old ass wrinkly master." The man spoke Maul snatching the data pad back and making his leave.
"Oh. And one know's who you are." Maul responded standing in the door way, "Before I gave them anything, one knew Rosyln is Y/n,"

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT DAISUGA AND CANON MOMENTS
Letās appreciate these two for leading the team to the nationals (long post ahead)
1. Their goals and hard work for the team:
Theyāre always shown together planning for the team. When Asahi stopped playing volleyball, Noya got suspended, former coach Ukai stopped coaching. I felt bad for these two, they went through hard times as their captain and vice captain itās their obligation to unite and guide the team. During their first year and second year they were used to failure and called flightless crows. Their expectations crumpled but they did not give up. Itās Daichi and Sugaās job to bring back the name of Karasuno to the nationals with the help of coach Ukai and Takeda, finally they made it to nationals, thatās why their former captain was so proud of them because they followed his words.Ā When they didn't have their coach yet, they behaved as Karasunoās temporary coaches (thank goodness Takedaās an angel). Daichi was shown coaching the team in the first few episodes and Suga helped Tanaka bond Kageyama and Hinata. Suga questioned Daichiās plan about the weird duo (Daichiās a matchmaker) but after what Daichi said he helped the two bond and honed their skills.
In the HQ light novel āMelancholy of the third year studentā, Asahi stated āwith Sawamura leading the team and Sugawara taking care of the members, what could i possibly do to contributeā he witnessed Daichi and Suga walking together in the hallway; Asahi was impressed because of their dedication to guide the team to the nationals despite theyāre in college prep class still they gave their best in guiding the team. Tanaka also acknowledged his senpais hard work thatās why he extremely respects his senpais, he was always there supporting the two. Coach Ukai madly respects Suga because he gave his setter position to Kageyama for the sake of the team and Daichi because heās the best in motivating the team.Ā
2. They know each other so well:Ā
Daichi has this proud mode when he talks about Suga. When he told the team that Sugaās an experienced setter he had this āYes thatās my amazing setterā face and when Suga did that amazing spike he jumped like a kid. In the HQ light novel āSugawaraās decisionā this happened during the first training camp. Suga was anxious to tell Daichi of his plan to give his setter position to Kageyama. When Suga finally told Ukai about his decision, Daichi and Asahi overheard their conversation and promised to win any match as much as they can. When Suga stated āI think in order to win, the person we need right now is KageyamaāĀ Daichi and Asahi expressed their concern because the three promised to step on the court together (i get so emotional when the 3rd yrs play together). Daichi was worried and he told Suga that they can do something about it. THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE HQ LNs because of what Suga thought after their discussion āHe was glad to have sawamura who accepted him the way he is, as his teammateā AND I FUCKIN LOST IT HQ LN SHOULD BE ANIMATED. Daichi supported Sugaās decision for the team, āDaichi was very certain of Suga who had been with him for the past 3 yearsā, he even stopped Tanaka from interrupting Sugaās monologue telling him to listen.Ā
Remember when Ukai announced the first lineup for dateko vs karasuno match and the shot was focused to Suga and back to Daichi; you can see Daichi did this weird eye thing glancing at Suga. Daichiās proud moments of Suga were āI think youāve revived too Sugaā and āIām glad you still want to fightā when he told Daichi āI do wish my tosses couldāve played a part in the victoryā. When Asahi and Noya stopped coming to the team, the only members left were Suga, Daichi and the 2nd years. Suga also took the blame and Daichi was there for him. He was shown secretly listening to Yamaguchi and Sugaās conversation about the mop (and comforted him that he shouldn't blame himself. Iām kinda disappointed they didn't include this in the anime). These panelsĀ show their trust and respect for each other.
He cant even dare to hurt SugaĀ (but lets Suga punch him anytime) and he knows when Suga goes to overthinking mode. Also Suga knows Daichi so well i think iām gonna cry. Scolding Daichi when he was not vocal during the game; Sugaās known for being the only one who can lecture Daichi. When Daichi told Suga and Asahi that itās better to hand over the team to the 2nd yrs, Suga knew Daichi didn't mean that; Daichi felt hopeless because they lost again. He knew Daichi wanted to stay and play volleyball and step on the orange court.Ā
Heās also used to Daichiās stern mode. Daichi was also shown being the one who can keep Suga in control like āSuga please calm downā. Their relationship isnāt fully conveyed in the anime but iām thankful that creators created drama cds, light novels, extras, spin-offs and haikyuu stage play to let us know more about the characters.
Ā 3. The team parents:Ā
They always discuss about their team members like Suga asking Daichi about Kageyama and Hinata (kagehina bond ep) and Tsukishima. In the haikyuu drama cds āwhat if karasunoās manager isnāt shimizu kiyokoā and āthe reason behind the t-shirtsā they were worried about entrusting the managerās job to Tanaka, Noya and Hinata. When the team was hungry because Kiyoko wasnāt there, Suga told Daichi to take action so he assigned the weird duo to buy foods for the team and they were the ones who planned for the names of the shirts with the help of Noya, Kiyoko was pissed at the two because they were busy thinking of their own shirts. In the haikyuu light novel āthe last summer vacationā (Sources: 1|2)Ā Suga watched the team with worry on his face because it was so hot so he approached Daichi and expressed his concern that the team will get sick from the heat. Coach Ukai overheard the discussion and called a meeting. Theyāre usually seen together in every scene in the anime, stage play, haikyuu light novel, extras, manga, spin-offs and drama cds, scolding Tanaka, Noya, Hinata, Kageyama and Tsukishima; discussing volleyball stuffs; and buying pork buns for the team. In the lets haikyuu and extras (hq spin-off) itās actually semi-canon theyāre karasunoās team parents. They also have this karasuno christmas bonding tradition.
It was also STATED BY THE DIRECTOR IN THE HQ MAGAZINE AND THE VOICE ACTORS THAT DAICHI AND SUGA ARE THE TEAM PARENTS AND TANAKAāS THE BIG BROTHER (here are the links: 1|Ā 2|3)Ā

Ā 4. Teasing, bickering and just them being dorks:Ā
Suga teasing daichi is my jam. In the HQ LN āYachiās delivery missionāĀ (Sources 1|2),Ā this conversation frickin made me squeal like a mouse with laryngitis. After practice the team was thirsty and wanted something cold to eat. āItās indeed hot, lets get ice pops before we head homeā daichi stated then frickin SLY/LIL SHIT SUGA JUST CASUALLY SAID THIS REMARK āOh thatās not a bad idea, are you going to treat us Daichi-sanā HE FRICKIN ADDED -SAN. So the team didn't let the opportunity go away they screamed with joy and thanked Daichi. After what happened Daichi just glared at Suga who was smiling at him. Daichiās a softie when Sugaās involved. Suga got Daichi to buy ice cream for the team. Ā I REPEAT HQ LN SHOULD BE ANIMATED.Ā
Daichi knows when Sugaās about to do something stupid and his antics. They argued about this. When Suga was mad at Daichi because he was implying that the last year shrine visit was nothing; he was so pissed he started fuming at daichi. Suga also told Daichi that steak just being steak is better over diced steak. Ā Hyped suga and daichi trying to calm him down is the cutest shit. In theĀ HQ LN āTokyo Expedition: Captainsā Meetingā(Sources: 1|2),Ā Daichi warned Suga about Kuroo because he knows how to read minds and loves mind games and Suga was like āyou need to chill Daichiā. When it was Sugaās turn to pick a card from Daichiās deck he picked the joker and twitched his brows, Daichi whispered at Suga telling him whenever he drew the joker his brows twitch so Suga massaged his brows. I REPEAT AGAIN THIS SHOULD BE ANIMATED. The other captains and vice captains are competing against each other but look at these frickin idiots they are helping each other.Ā DAICHI OBSERVING SUGA THEN WARNED HIM ABOUT HIS TENDENCY OF TWITCHING HIS EYEBROWS. IM GONNA FRICKIN DO A BACKFLIP. Also Daichi and Suga love to make fun of asahi but when you frickin hurt asahi these two will frickin punch you in the face. Frickin daisugasting dorks.
Ā 5. They are always together and in sync:
In the manga, anime, extras, stage play, light novel, drama cds and official art/merchandise theyāre usually frickin together and always in sync, same reactions and thoughts.Ā Remember when Daichi looked at Suga (S1 ep24) like he was asking for approval then Suga nodded. That was so cute ugh.

Suga is 6 months older than Daichi. June 13 and December 31. Their birth dates makes me go WAIT WHAT.Ā
Suga and Daichiās name meanings are compatible.
During the christmas bonding time, Suga received daichiās gift, a daruma. Daichi bought it as a gift because it weighs like a volleyball (heās such a volleyball nerd) and he told Suga that they should draw the eye together. (Source link)

Sugaās first synchronize attack was a success and he tossed it to Daichi. Coach Ukai assigned these two along with Tanaka to learn synchronize attack.(Remember when Daichi told Suga he borrowed coach ukaiās tablet so they can watch the videos together)
The way they look at each other like thereās nothing else to look at.Ā
What I truly love about these two is their relationship and trust for each other.They complement each other, which makes them a good combination. They went through obstacles and look THEY MADE IT TO THE NATIONALS, kiyoko witnessed their progress and asahi thanked suga and daichi because they welcomed him again in the team, remember when asahi was not sure if theyād accept him to the team but daichi and suga were just laughing and made fun of him.Ā
Their vice captain and captain interaction isn't fully expressed in the anime and i hope that everyone will appreciate them more! They made it to nationals! And them being proud of Hinata and Kageyama in the hq time skip is one of the best treasures Furudate sensei gave to us.Ā
Lets talk about these two. Daisugasting volleyball idiots.Ā

ä¹ć¤ć®å½/9 Lives Translation
Hi!! So, @foxy-and-tales asked me to tell her what was going on in the comic mentioned in this post. After skimming through it, I thought it'd be good practice - and it'd be easier to answer her question - if I just went through it and told her what it all meant. I realised by that point I was doing a translation, and since I was going to the trouble anyway, I thought I'd post it publicly.
So, the full comic is here. It's basically a comic that has 7 little stories about Kakashi's ninja hounds and their lives with Kakashi. It's an adorable, heartfelt story and I absolutely love the personalities that the artist gave all the ninja hounds and the depictions of their relationships with Kakashi.
My translation will be this post, follow it as a script. I don't have the skill or knowledge to edit and typeset and change the images myself - and I wouldn't do that anyway, as it would involve reposting the art and changing it without the artist's consent. But I do think that not referring to the pictures as you're reading through the script really harms how sweet this story is, so if you can go through the comic slowly whilst referring to my (amateur) translation of it, I hope you can get a glimpse of that!
WARNINGS: There is a depiction of an already dead dog in part 4 š¢, and some (human!) male partial nudity in part 6 (š)

Bull: Iā¦ Iām scared of insects. Iām scared of noises.
