Hey y’all! Weird question time! What’s the difference between a muscle cramp, a muscle spasm, and a knot in a muscle? Like, what do they feel like when you experience them, how do you tell them apart*? I’ve heard all three terms used (in addition to ones that I think are related but am unsure about like pulled muscle, strained muscle, overextended muscle) but I have no idea how to tell which one I am experiencing or how to differentiate between them, even though I’ve looked up definitions a few times over the years? The definitions were not helpful. It’s like acid reflux all over again (any time I asked doctors “how do you tell if you have acid reflux?” they’d just say “if you had it you’d know” without giving me any information to connect symptoms with a name) *my whole sodium georg thing means I am very prone to having my muscles hate me and have bad cramps and/or spasms if I don’t take enough electrolytes, but I suspect I am not using the correct words when describing them to doctors. Which is it when a small part of a muscle (like a 2″ ish patch of your thigh) starts twitching and keeps twitching for hours even if the muscle around it is totally still?

Something HYSTERICALLY funny to me about the literal opening lines of the album being Joe’s silence and calm and Taylor both resting in it but also about to midnight chatter/complain/vent/reminisce/sob for the next 44 minutes

The idea that Castiel when they were human, kept talking in multiple languages on accident is great. Like Castiel was tired, and hungry, just trying desperately to stay alive, and being so overwhelmed, the languages just jumble up at that point. Especially if others were speaking multiple languages around them, so their brain was already focusing on other languages. So their sentences would just be mixed, fluent, but mixed. And what if Enochian slipped in and that's the only way they ever noticed. It felt sharp and heavy on their tongue, bitter, and they would just stop speaking because no one understands the language but also, should they even be speaking that language? After making so many angels fall, and they're only human because they believed in these fake trials, surely they shouldn't be allowed to speak the language without any forgiveness. Not necessarily from other angels, but themselves. (It's smarter to avoid speaking Enochian when they're being hunted down, but in a sense, that's why Castiel wants to speak it, but there's too much shame to do so.) Anyway, I think it's fair to believe that Castiel, with everything going on, would begin to struggle with language. It's pretty understandable.

sometimes i think i've outgrown my days of being called a walking dictionary by my grade school classmates but then i use some ridiculous unnecessary word in casual conversation and have to take a moment to humble myself. i have not grown past little me's situationally irrelevant SAT word vocabulary

Hide and seek is banned after Shigeo accidentally learns how to bend light.

He wants to spend more time with baby bro Ritsu even though mom said it’s bed time but hey mom, you can’t separate us if I float us to the ceiling where you can’t reach me HEH.

Mrs. Kageyama frantically darting through the house looking for Shigeo who just floated though the fucking wall oh my god where did he GO THIS WASN’T IN ANY PARENT HANDBOOK JESUS!

Oh god what if Reigen ended up being like Kari the babysitter and just… enduring all of Shigeo’s worst antics and just being ??????? Calls him mom in a panic like “THE BABY WAS EXPLODING! HAVE YOU EVER SEEN AN EXPLODING BABY MOM???” (He exaggerates a bit, but not by much).

Kiddo doesn’t get what he wants? Solution: float shit. Mom won’t let me have a cookie? Mine now. It’s bed time? No is isn’t, I’m on the ceiling now. Dads trying to get me to go potty? There are horror stories in the Kageyama household about potty training a psychic.

But then he throws up while floating one time and suddenly that phase is over.

Sometime the Kageyama’s wonder how their erratic 2-year-old ended up being such a mild mannered sweetheart.

absolutely devastating hebrew lesson today in which my teacher asked me about what book i was reading over the weekend . for conversational practice. and for the sake of, you know, practice, i had to explain it in a fair amount of detail. the book i read, of course, was lungbarrow
