Two other stressful scenes with how we played was Connor's infiltration into Cyberlife tower and the ensuing fight between the other Connor and Hank. The reason it was so stressful was because she genuinely could not remember if she had learned Hank's son's name. Luckly, she did, so Connor didn't die there, and Markus got his reinforcements, but still, phew!

The next was Markus' speech at the very end, and Connor being taken over by Amanda and the whole emergency exit thingy. She struggled to remember where the freaking thing was, and she messed up the inputs to press it the first time. Not to mention how she was sort of freaking out because things were happening differently than how her solo run did. But we got that W.

But I feel like playing the game this way adds a sort of tenseness and finality to it. Because you truly don't know what the other people are doing with the other storylines until they meet up during crossroads. This was just with the two of us, imagine if we had a third to play Kara so all storylines would be a mystery until the converge!

On Thursday evening, Loki went to answer the door and was surprised to find it was Chris. He was looking a little bit antsy.

‘Oh, hey. What’s up?�� Loki asked.

Slowly making his way down, letting his eyes adjust to the darkness, as typically the streetlight down that alley was out, he spotted a large figure looming over a smaller one next to a skip. He could see clearly in the dark now his eyes had adjusted, and what he saw made his stomach drop.

The man looked horrified when he was turned to face Loki. Loki slammed him against the wall next to the girl, who took that opportunity to run for her life while sobbing.

Loki didn’t take a second glance at the girl, just eyed up the man who began begging and pleading for his life, which all fell on deaf ears as Loki snarled and dove in for his neck.

speaking of Honkai Star Rail bro/sis: I'm shocked Sunday and Robin haven't come up before! They're in some ways similar to Serval and Gepard, in that the siblings are similar in some ways but just different enough in others that it puts them into conflict—and the sister is a musician. Also both ships are non-canon, but there’s enough juicy stuff there that, if they were childhood friends instead of siblings, you just know there’d be a massive fanbase for the ship.

they’re biological siblings (Sunday is older than her, but there’s a line or two suggesting that they’re twins) who lost their parents at a young age and were adopted into a powerful family, which Sunday is now the leader of. Meanwhile, Robin became a singer and traveled for a while, recently coming back home. While she was away, she wrote frequent letters to her brother keeping him up to date on her location and life, and she returns for a big festival at the start of their arc.

for some of the story, he thinks she’s been killed. As family head, he’s doing his best to keep it together in public (and hide the fact of her “murder”) but when he’s alone or with someone he thinks was involved, the mask slips. It’s obviously caused him a lot of grief and anger, and when they’re reunited, it’s so sweet

As children, they made a promise together to create a paradise, and unlike a lot of childhood promises, they still take it really seriously. Both of them have very strong ideals, but Robin is more of an optimist, while Sunday is… let’s say a Well-Intentioned Extremist, whose good intentions were twisted by their adopted father. Would he trap the world in a never-ending dream paradise in order to fulfill his and his sister’s promise? yes. Did he try? …also yes. this man needs therapy. And sister smooches. And more therapy (not for the potential sis kisses, just in general)

The original plan for the dream thing (by their adopted dad) was supposed to be that one person would have to remain awake to control the dream, but that person was intended to be Robin. however, Sunday knew she wouldn’t want that and couldn’t condemn her to such a lonely fate, so he decided to take it on himself.

Robin teams up with the main characters to stop him, not just because he’s in the wrong, but hoping to save him from himself and the same loneliness that he tried to save her from. While his choices aren’t good, she knows his intentions are good, because they began “at the same starting line.” As one of the MCs says, “Even if Robin had to stop her brother with her own hands, she won’t give up on him.” Her song grabs his attention even in the middle of an intense battle, and in the end, he fails in his goals. He’s falling but Robin catches him in an embrace. Another moment where, if they weren’t siblings, everyone would be screaming about how romantic it was

After the dust settles, Robin plans to go on a trip for herself (instead of her usual traveling to perform for others), but when we see her, she’s still thinking about her brother. Meanwhile, Sunday is arrested but soon ends up free because of a secret deal that Robin struck. He misses her but is reluctant to see her before she leaves because he’s a fugitive, and he is relieved she escaped from the consequences of his actions.

But in the end, he can’t resist seeing her once more before leaving. He’d been accompanied by one of the MCs who’s understandably suspicious of him, but who leaves Sunday alone to say goodbye. To quote: “I believe you’re the kind of person that has the ability and desire to use everything to his advantage… but that ‘everything’ does not include Miss Robin.” Which is so true. and their parting is tear-jerking. like I actually cried

He stays in disguise so she won’t be seen talking to a fugitive and be put in danger, so even if she doesn’t know it’s him, he can still check on her. But he says something familiar, and she’s quickly reminded of him. He asks if they can watch the stars together and they talk for a bit (on a balcony overlooking the city, very romantic setting).

She mentions her regret re: the recent disaster is leaving some things unsaid, not even getting to say goodbye or being able to encourage someone. He says “sometimes, what’s in your heart doesn’t need to be dressed up in words. Maybe he already knows what you wanted to say” and says her person already has the willpower to start again “especially after receiving a smile from you” asdgdfgkj. She reflects how she worries bc, while everyone thinks he’s strong and unflinching, she knows he overthinks and agonizes over everything. She knows him so well, and even if he doesn’t say goodbye in those words, she clearly knows it was him. Again, they aren’t canon but they’re SO shippable.

And then, because Sunday wants to change and grow and be more than just the self-described “person who always disappoints his sister”… he travels with the MCs on their space train. Where I play his sister’s songs on the phonograph constantly because they’re fantastic, and so he can never escape thinking about her (as if he could anyway).

I also now read more about the 2 other scratching areas which I hadn't touched yet since I hadn't realized them. I was allowed to scratch them too but they had hidden prices. I was nervous and anxious but I started to scratch.

At first, 4 egg shaped fully GOLD little chicks appeared by each table leg! I didn't understand so I kept scratching a bit until I decided: "Heck, I need to check those chicks!" I did check them one by one and ALL of them had "pressed in side" which had something written in them. I didn't see the text because of bad lighting but I felt them under my palm and fingers. But it was something REALLY GOOD! I don't remember was it money (lots of it) or decorations inside this Japanese room of mine. I remember being super happy, stunned, excited and just OOOHHH!!

• PopiKir was a same alien species as him, she's part of the warrior of their planet (that we all know in the Kirby universe) as an army, along side with him. If we are honest, bnha has never been a consistent manga. It has really good arcs in between of mediocre and bad ones. Hori himself is not a good writer, but he has his moments. Mva or Deku seinen were interesting good takes on character, but Hori has the tendency to take things back and at this point it's getting ridiculous.

I guess to some extent we had an idea of what to wait from the plot, he was making points about interesting stuff...until AfO took over. And then it became a huge narrative problem.

The manga is on its last volume or something and we still don't know his motivation. He took autonomy from Tomura right when he was starting to be promising as a villain. He's shown to be behind what happened to Touya, he's shown to have a hand in the corruption of society, but since he's so unidimensional nothing really moves.

I'd say the story has been stagnant for the last 80 chapters? They fight and nothing happens, characters have revelations, but nothing happens, plots are tied, but nothing happens.

Look Dabi vs Shoto fight for example. What purpose did it serve to the plot? Did change Shoto's mentality? No. Did change Dabi's? Also no. Had any sort of impact in the plot? So far no. We learned Dabi's story, but what after that? He went looking for Enji, like he's been doing all the manga. It happened 40 chapters ago bro. Still stand by.

Society was broken after Dabi's reveal, Deku was cast away. Until he wasn't anymore and instead of showing him bonding with his classmates, specially Ochako since she defended him, we saw none of it. Just seinen is over, let's back to school vibes!

Toga vs Ochako. This one it's so stupid it could be a meme: Toga is no longer in love with izuku. She asked him to be her boyfriend and he told her no wtf girl gtfo. Now she has an arc. Now she wants revengeeeee from hero society because he didn't want to make out. Oh, and she misses Jin, si she'll use his quirk. I wish i was making this one up.

Also heteromorphic quirk was a thing. Discrimination was a thing. Then it wasn't.

Amerikaren was here too with some life changing reality shaping powers. Hori gave AfO one million powers or something and then, in the same chapter her nerfed him for reasons lol and Tomura...he's the bad guy, but then not so much, but then yes, but then no, but the- so he's in control, he remembers his past, he's unleashed. Then not, he's a prisoner, but then yes, he's free, but no really.

The revelation that he always knew afo wanted his body, he never cared about ofa...THEN WHY DID YOU TOOK THE AFO BRO?????? the only motive Tomura accepted AfO as a quirk was BECAUSE the doctor told him about OfA. That's just straight up inconsistency.

Also, Bakugo is dead but not really in the background. Because Tomura killed him, but not quite, because AfO killed him, but not really, because his own quirk or something. So beast jeanist and headshot (or whatever the ninja guy is called) are making fabric surgery on him..."girl, i have Deus ex machina you cannot imagine." Horikoshi Kohei, 2022.

Now they are all fighting and, fair, it's a war, but what else. It's getting really fucking boring. Every 3 chapters a new character is dropped. Camie is here? Is that supposed to mean something? Now, the meatballs guy is there too! and he has something important to say.

The meatball guy is the son of one of the jailors and he's angry his dad is dead.

Aricka stands in front of the mirror, her purple bridesmaid dress making her look like a cupcake. Her short cropped hair was curled and pinned away from her face, and she wore white sandals with buckles on them.

Someone knocks on the door and it opens to reveal- “Jonathan,” she says softly. Her new big brother opens the door all the way.

“May I come in? I have something for you that I want you to have before the wedding.” He holds out a wrapped gift.

“I wasn’t gonna give you yours til after but I can-,” Aricka starts but he stops her.

“No no, no, it’s fine. I just- I just want you to know I’m really, really happy that this is happening. I’m glad you’re gonna be my little-by- two-months sister.” The words almost make her tear up but she unwraps the gift and sees-

A brown leather bound book that says “Aricka, Will, Jane and Jon’s Adventure Book.” Carefully she opens it- and then the tears come. The book was FILLED with pictures Jonathan had taken of the four of them-

One at Aricka and Will’s first theater performance together. One of Aricka and Jane the day they officially adopted her- Jane had jumped into Aricka’s arms and cried. Aricka had a huge proud smile on her face. One of Aricka and Jonathan on graduation day- Aricka’s arms wrapped carefreely around his neck and his chin leaning against her forehead. One of them after the battle of Starcourt- Jane asleep in Aricka’s arms, Will leaned over against her. Aricka had a bloody lip and cuts on her forehead; and she looked exhausted, but this was the moment Aricka and Jonathan really leaned on each other for the first time. Clinging to their new sibling status. One of them and Argyle at the pizza place- Argyle holding up bunny ears behind Jon’s head.

So many memories. Will and Aricka on the closing night of her senior year musical. Jon and Aricka hugging in the reception line for that same musical. Aricka and her dad on graduation, then Joyce and Aricka and Jon together.

The last page didn’t have any pictures, but a quote instead: “A picture is worth a thousand words, but a memory is priceless.”

Then it was their turn. Jon offered his arm to Aricka. “Shall we; sis?” He asks softly. Aricka smiles, loops her hand through his arm; and pats his shoulder.

“Let’s go, big bro.” He smiles, a rare Jonathan Byers smile, and together they walk to the future.

Jonathan waited patiently for his chance, and they hugged just as they had before the wedding. “Love ya sis. You did great,” he said.

Joyce and Jim follow them; Jim cupping Aricka’s cheeks and kissing her forehead as he had since she was a child, Joyce hugging Aricka and cradling the back of her head against her shoulder. “Thank you, baby,” Joyce whispers.

“I love you mom,” Aricka whispered back. “I love you, dad.”

“I love you too, baby girl.” Pride was not the adequate word Jim was looking for when he looked down at his firstborn- the little girl who had once been his only reason for living. He had done everything he could do so his daughter would be happy and be able to do whatever she wanted to do.

Now they both had the happy ending they deserved.

And Aricka couldn’t wait to see what the next chapter brought.

The whole like, Valla story aside tho, I really hate how the Nohr family (mainly the guys) is portrayed as like, this unforgiving, cold bunch of people when, in CQ and BR it's honestly the other way around. Takumi joins you in RV because some guy he didnt know in a temple said its his dying wish, just going "....ok. I DON'T trust you....but I'll join you, sister" just being kinda chill with it? Even calling you sis now? damn ok

In BR and supports he is suspicious of you all the way through, and Ryoma shows little remorse at his CQ encounter, not even letting you win. He just fucking stabs himself. Hell, Takumi is POSESSED at the end of CQ but instead of quietly suffering like all other Vallite puppets, his hatred for you is all he can express. That's how badly this fucker just wants to mow you down for destroying his whole family.

In BR iirc Leo and Camilla do fight you, but with a lot of remorse. They're fairly nice to you in the end all things considered. Elise SACRIFICES HERSELF because she loves you and her blood siblings, and can't bear to witness her older brother kill you. Xander fights you under tears because he knows killed his own sister, and is about to do it again, all because of a conflict he doesn't even know the root of.

At the end of Ch13 Xander is still like "I don't trust you, you traitor!" while Camilla is right there, and Ryoma is just chill with the fact that his two siblings are with you? Are these the same guys as in the other routes? The lack of consistency really just annoys me more than anything.

I miss Inigo Laslow and Niles, and can't wait for Xander and Leo to finally get over their hissyfit so that I can send my cringefail husbands to war again

Whatever. Honestly just makes me appreciate what we do have in BR and CQ more. They're silly and have a lot of very convenient moments for the story to unfold the way it does, but they're a good time.

RV specific shenanigans aside, I am having incredible luck with Subaki and Hinata this time around, they're consistently MVPs in spite of them being kinda mid units stat wise lol. I know that's about to change now that I have Keaton and Beruka but it's a nice surprise. I also rediscovered why I S-supported Hinata in my first ever Fates BR run, I love a dumbass who's also just a bro. Horrible Shigure luck tho, I will say. My boy ain't hitting SHIT

thoughts on replaying the most contrived fire emblem route, fe fates revelations, because i'm pretty sure its been around 8 years since the only time i played it.

i only ever replayed birthright, conquest, or heirs of fate afterward, because most of what i remembered about RV is that it was unbelievably stupid.

i will say right away that i don't remember lollygagging in hoshido for this long. i'm on chapter 12 right now and we've only been to valla once? i mandela effected myself it seems, because i thought i'd be there a lot more by this point. not necessarily a good thing though, as the only royals i have so far are sakura and tsundere pineapple

speaking of which, dear god, fuck this recruitment order. no nohrians in sight in my army except for jagen gunter and jakob. i've grown to be a lot more efficient with unit growths over the years throughout my many replays of (mostly) conquest, so seeing as i have three perfectly good ninjas in my army, soon to be 4 with sakura!asugi, i'll likely have to bench most of my nohr favorites when they join low-leveled. sucks.

i don't like using child units too much but they'll probably be in here at some point, given this dumbass rec orcer

soundtrack imo is not as good as it is in CQ and BR but that's like saying the cherry on top of an amazing 100 layer cake is slightly less sweet than on your other two 100 layer cakes.

gameplay wise i completely forgot how overpowered pairup was, even when only using it in auxilary battles to farm support levels, i'm glad adjutants are a thing in 3h instead. ninjas are way more fun to use than i remembered and i cannot take their animations seriously. i yearn for more movement though, almost every hoshido unit feels slow (mov), i want my bowknights back

i daresay support convos are better than people give them credit for (i hope the mouse enjoys its treat very much) but since fates' cast is so stupidly large, the majority of them don't have a whole lot going for them, which isn't helped by CQ units not being able to do supports with BR ones until who knows when.
