Recent life photos

#photo diary #image 1 & 2 - of course these are just cloud images. But a cool pattern of them :0 #3 - another word count of game writing... aargh... Still debating about like allowing other people into the game discord or how early #in the process one should do that.. but social things are just so difficult for me lol.. I shall always suffer for my lack of networking an #self promotion skills. 4 - I was forced to get a new phone a few months ago because my beloved phone of like 10 years finally #broke too much. and I always like to go through the emojis and make a little memo with all my favorites. yaay little pictures of things.#5 - I FINALLY finished all the dictionary entries for the game (which has a little dictionary feature in the player's journal to note #any specific terms and keep track of them (like what 'jhevona' or 'avirre'thel' means. or to remember that the world is called Nanyevimi #and the country they're in is Asen. etc. etc.)). There are 75 defined terms so far and it took me a while to do so out of curiosity I put #all the text into a wordcounter thing and lol.. 8000 words isnt that much I guess but the 30 minute reading time is funny to me. 30 minutes #for my little tiny dictionary panel in my quaint little casual visual novel which is not even lore heavy at all. hee hee (though that's mor #like a minute here and there since obv people are not unlocking every term all at once. you complete the dictionary as you talk to people #and hear them mention new concepts over time.).. ANYWAY..#6 - a very soft and beautiful stuffed animal that I did not buy but wanted to at least document their charm.#7 - stimky boye waiting in front of his favorite straw meowring screaming for someone to play with him (he likes to chase the #straw around). 8 - matcha bubble tea my beloved. 9 & 10 & 11 - some cool flowers I saw. also featuring one of my favorites (columbines!)#Anyhow.. as mentioned in the other photo diary post.. I have just been packing and writing mostly.. The evil summer is coming of course #which me and my health issues always dread. Good news though is I finally got my passport in the mail! >:3 huzzah. Now I just need to find #some fellow aromantic asexual living outside the US willing to take one for the team and fake a marriage with me so I can get the #hell out of the country UwU (<joking) (...mostly... as in - definitely NOT my main goal. but if a viable opportunity presented itself I #would of course give it consideration lol). I know that's already highly regulated but I wonder if it's something that will become even mor #locked down as people hunt for any opportunity to flee. People are out here searching for any loophole. Frantically researching their #entire family tree seeing if there's any chance for a citizenship by descent in whatever place will take them. etc. etc. lol #So I wonder if such marriages are a thing that will come up more often. hmm.. ANYWAY..#I have almost all of my stuff packed even though I don't move until another 1-2 months. But that's the point is to have it all sorted early #in the last remaining scraps of ''cooler'' weather so that then I can just relax up until then. I'm going to try doing another scrapbook #/sketchbook this summer as a Mood Boosting effort. Just to find little things to help with the situational political existential dread and #climate woes. So on days it's too hot to function I can just glue little things to pages and doodle lol.. hopefully.. slowly getting things #off my to do list.. I reaaaaaally want to get back to playing games as it's so fun and realxing to me but..rghgh.. 500 other things..

well, of the 6 ways i could get laid off (i counted), at least one is creeping closer to reality. had a staff meeting today in which my manager told us she would understand if we were looking for other jobs, which is her way of telling us we should look for other jobs. so that's not great.

#the 6 ways are:#1) client loses funding (which has already happened but like. they could lose ALL funding)#2) program that client funds loses funding (this is the one that seems more likely now)#3) client doesn't renew our option year (which is legal but has never happened before)#4) client doesn't even pay out the rest of our option year (which would be a breach of contract but what could we do abt it)#5) team falls apart because my boss retired (he's coming back) (theoretically)#6) my 3-year appointment that has to be renewed as a formality is for the first time not renewed bc of the hiring freeze #meanwhile my friend is like are you looking for other jobs? and i'm like hell no i'm not doing that until i get paid unemployment for it #i'm gonna stay on until they make me leave #my posts #i was gonna go to a thing in my neighborhood but now it's raining and all my shoes have holes in them so maybe i will not #having shoes without holes in them is i think probably a good idea if you live in a rainy place. word to the wise #not me because i am not wise (apparently). but the rest of you can have that lil tidbit. for free

For as long as I've been playing the sims 4 I've heard people say that the sims 3 was way better, and I believed it to some extent, like how many features were locked away in packs for the sims 4 that were in the base game for the sims 3. But I decided to play the sims 3 to see how different the two really were and omfg, I've only been playing for an hour and already it's way more interesting than the sims 4. I created my girl and her cat and moved in. Some kid threw a newspaper on my lawn and my cat rolled around in it!!! Then a time traveler teleported on my lawn and asked me to fix his portal. I did and went to the future where I met robots, used a hoverboard and a jetpack and went back to the past where I was still home before dinner....yeah I don't think I'm ever playing the sims 4 again.

#the pyre #plus I have all the dlc expansion packs and what have you #now I know juts how much of a travesty it was to fire the sims 3 teams #and how much of a tragedy it is that ea is just going to keep updating the sims 4 and never going to make a sims 5 #our dream of having a sims 3 game with sims 4 graphics most likely will NOT come true bc of ea #here's to hoping that inzoi is the sims killer ppl are labeling it as

just randomly remembered that during my like 10+ attempts at the shadow yukiko fight i more or less consistently ran out of revival beads so yosuke was just dead (well unconscious but whatever) on the ground for like half the fight gfhfjvhfhfhd-

i told my team i was leaving and every single one of them decided to quit too. leadership skills may not be perfect but i sure led them to the lifeboats when i noticed the ship had started taking on water!!

#dan.txt #work blogging #i gave my bosses 6 weeks notice so they could approve my suggested replacement and i could train her up #3 weeks in i had heard nothing at all. one boss kept trying to get me to do things for events happening after my last day.#the last straw was when my boss's boss took away some necessary privileges on our portal. that was an accident but still.#i went in to talk to my boss like 'you are not taking this seriously. have you approved my replacement?'#and he told me they're not replacing me until q2 of next year. and he's going to be doing my job until then.#and tbh that shit insulted me!! you think my job is so frivolous that you can just be fine with no one doing it?? mmmmmokay #so internally i said 'if you're gonna shit the bed i'm gonna get out' and externally i said 'my last day will now be this sunday.'#and then i didn't do all the Extra Shit i do to make this shit work. and when he asked me why the week went poorly i told him that was why.#and when i put my 6 weeks in all 4 of my team members started looking for new jobs and he just found out this week all of them are leaving #the Fear is setting in for him but also: WHEN YOU FUCK AROUND YOU FIND OUT LMAOOOO
