i was reading tokyo aliens (if you like sci-fi & action i highly recommend) and if i had the artistic skill, i would have whipped up a drawing of vessel and sleep based on this so fucking quickly

tokyo aliens is like if the entire world was fucked up and u just had to live with it. the mc has lost his father to aliens but he has such a big heart and he realizes that even if you can't change the world you can still make it a better place to live. it's got the coolest science fiction aspects and technology and they have your fucked up soukoku couple where one man has betrayed the other in the past in the name of duty. mc's father haunts the whole narrative and guides him. tokyo aliens isnt about being human but it is about being kind and asking yourself what you would do to build the world that you'd like to see. also there is a time loop hope this helps 👍

Tokyo Aliens is does gays

There are two kinds of queerbait: good and bad. I like this one so it’s good. Glad we could clear that up. Now, to make my case:

kabedon count? 2. First is the meet cute between our boys, Akira and Sho

(Akira has absolutely zero idea what is happening here, which sets the tone for the rest of the story)

second kabedon is from Sho leaping to Akira’s defense

it just so happens Sho was defending Akira from... a cute girl??? levels

but there’s more. we get the love letter trope,

and it seems comedic but it has to do with them not being able to speak freely at school because of their ~secret connection~ to each other. that is to say, extremely gay 

and it goes on. the manga takes every chance it gets to put these boys together in... positions

touching each other

holding each other

cradling each other

the boys are so taken with each other we even get a mock proposal

of course, Chris-chan, our story’s resident cross-dressing queer/possibly transwoman, calls it out and ships it hard

almost as amazing as how often Akira talks about how amazing Sho is

yes, Akira, your boyfriend is amazing. so, as you can see, Tokyo Aliens is does big gays. thus I conclude my presentation
