it is important to remember how heavily surveilled Gaza is and how israel knows where every single person lives. this is why many journalists have been martyred, not in the field while reporting, but in their homes, as they went home to see their families and get some rest. furthermore, if you follow motaz azaiza closely, you'll know that recently he has also had some close calls with israeli airstrikes, suggesting that israel is indeed targeting active Palestinian journalists, especially those who report in english or have a lot of reach in the west.

please do not fall for israeli propaganda and convince yourselves that israel is justified in murdering innocent Palestinians who only seek to show the world a small glimpse of the hell they live through everyday. call out this propaganda everywhere you see it, and spread awareness about this being a propaganda tactic. by israel's own logic, if journalists happen to record an armed group as they carry out an operation, then journalists from cnn who have embedded themselves with the idf, are also legitimate targets.

I don't think that controlling water and power and movement for a captive population and shooting children dead for throwing stones is an inherent value of Judaism, any more than I think the torture carried out at Guantanamo Bay is an inherent value of Christianity - in both cases they're atrocities carried out by a far right genocidal government using religious identity as a shield.

Calling statements like "Israel is committing genocide against the people it's displaced" inherently antisemitic is doing more to further the idea that all Jewish people are associated with Israel than saying "the Israeli government is doing war crimes," which is a statement of fact about a country that exists and does war crimes. Is criticism of Israel as a nation often used as cover for antisemitism? Absolutely. Does that mean the Israeli government isn't doing literal war crimes repeatedly, on record, while talking publicly about scrubbing an ethnic group off the map? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh well in the last 48 hours they've definitely cut off water and power to almost 600,000 civilians and allegedly used white phosphorus against civilians so in an extremely factual and unambiguous way yeah man those are Literal War Crimes whoever does them.)

Genuinely wondering what goes through peoples brains when they even attempt to defend Israel right now. If you’re a genocidal maniac at least admit it upfront instead of jumping through hoops and projecting until your argument even slight makes coherent sense.

Honestly fuck you if you are willing to compare the Hamas to the IOF,, now isn’t a time to pick apart ‘both sides’ for their wrongs, now is a time to recognize the importance of the phrase “by any means necessary” and stand by what for many years us leftist have fought for. We can spend time criticizing later, now is crucial in action and not in arguing. I agree whole heartedly that innocent people shouldn’t be killed but god will I not let the necessary evils of trying for freedom EVER deter me.

Again, If you even for one second try to defend genocide, you yourself are playing a part in that genocide. Say it as it is. Don’t make up excuses. You have the blood of Palestinians staining your hands, no amount of counter-blame can ever wash it off. I hope you are tormented by the thought of thousands of innocent people dying and your willingness to write it off. Maybe one day you’ll see how wrong you were, but by then, it’ll be too late, they’re basic necessities are being cut off, they’re homes being demolished or taken away, they’re lives being taken every 90 seconds right now. hey seriously all of my thoughts and all of my heart to any palestinian follower I might have, any israeli who lost someone and/or tried to oppose this murderous regime and whose voice is being silenced right now, any arabic and/or muslim follower who feels like their lives aren't worth even half a shard of empathy from the western world at large, and any jewish follower who may feel like their faith is being instrumentalized in the worst possible way

I'm genuinely so sick, so disgusted, so appalled, and I don't know what to do but donate and that feels like nothing, and I'm not even close emotionally to any of that so I can't even fucking imagine what you must be going through.
