questionable government spies but better written and five years late: a newsies multichap coming tonight, july 2, 2023 EST

hi hello. it’s me saph. back at it again.

the title is exactly what this looks like.

for those of you that were familiar with the first iteration of this story, welcome back, i’m so happy to have you. for those of you who are not, welcome to my long anticipated spies fic. this was originally published under the user @/suddenly-im-respecsable in about 2018-2019 (there is the early version still floating on tumblr but i have changed my url since and it’s not easily findable) and was cross posted on ao3 but was taken down

the basic gist of the story was that race and albert were fbi agents and were field training jack. they get summoned to nyc (where they were trained) to deal with some super hard gang case that no one can crack. in the process they meet spot who is working for said gang and wants out. davey jacobs is the head of the nyc branch of the fbi and hates race and albert because they almost blew up his weapons lab.

i think i got through 14 ish chapters before realizing the whole thing was badly written and in order for it to be what i wanted it to be i needed to redo it. and then i graduated high school and started college and changed fandoms and started dating my boyfriend and there was a global pandemic and then i graduated college and all of that.

and now, 5 years later, i am back on my bullshit, this time with a creative writing degree under my belt and @ainti-pretty to force me to finish what i started. the plot is all relatively the same, just a little tweaked. i never got to the point of all the plot twists so if you read the original version you have no spoilers besides some background knowledge that i am changing around a little. im working entirely off of my original hand written outline that is on the back of my notes from my 11th grade english class

and what motivated me to do this now you may ask? well i’m interning in nyc over the summer and can do irl accurate location mapping lol. that and i made a tumblr to literally post this story and i never finished it so i figured that i should probably do that. and if you’re doubting that this will get finished, which, fair, @ainti-pretty and i are literally living together next year and i am certain that i will be hounded about this every day of my existence

Yes hello, I apologize for how long it took me to answer. I was spending time with friends and completely forgot this was in my inbox.

The show I’m talking about it Only Friends or Only Friends The Series (ofts for short). Which is about a group of messy gays being messy bitches who live for the drama. It’s directed by a man named Jojo Tichakorn, who is an amazing writer/director who is himself gay. It’s been compared to Queer as Folk a lot which I think is fair because it does have some similarities though there are a lot of differences too.

It is and it isn’t a love triangle. That being said, it consists of three characters

Sand my beloved doe eyed boy and resident furious bisexual™️ (also sassy and hiding pain)

Ray, the resident asshole with a heat of gold and self esteem issue self destructive alcoholic

And Mew, the only one capable of keeping a plant alive

To make a very long story short,

Mew and Ray have been friends for a long time (it is not mentioned how long) and 2 years prior to the series beginning, Mew saved Ray from dying by suicide (after Ray calls Mew to leave his suicide note). Ray has been in love with Mew since then while Mew had exactly 0 romantic interest in Ray, which Mew had made very clear to Ray more than once.

At the beginning of the series, Mew is introduced to Top while Ray meets Sand. (Side note, Top and Sand have their own history with each other that is not relevant right now but goes to the messy gays being messy). Top is Mew’s first serious relationship and a good deal of their relationship development revolves around the fact that Mew is a virgin while Top is the “top-tier” aka the Chad. Still they end up dating and falling in love and having sex, only Mew finds out that Top slept with another of his and Ray’s friends, Boston (both before the series starts and again just as Mew and Top are ending the ‘casual seeing each other’ stage of their relationship. Needless to say, Mew breaks up with Top.

Meanwhile Ray meets Sand at the beginning of the series. As stated, Ray is an alcoholic with a bucket load of self esteem and self worth issues that Sand decides to help take care of because he is just like that and also Ray is cute. The two end up forming a sex friends type relationship that is clear to everyone and the moon could very easily turn into a romantic relationship if the two would ever actually talk about their feelings, which they don’t, instead they dance (and fuck) around their growing feelings for each other until their budding relationship gets torpedoed by aforementioned friend Boston (Boston is gay and slutty and bitchy and kind of the worst and I love him so much!) when Boston reveals to Sand that Ray is in love with Mew (while also lying that Ray and Mew have hooked up in the past, which has not happened. They did kiss but that’s it and it was years prior to the start of the series).

This most recent two episodes has Mew finding out about Top and Boston having sex via a secretly recorded audio of them fucking nasty in Boston car (which was recorded by Boston friends with benefits/sex friend Nick which is it’s own can of worms. When I said this show is wild I fucking meant it). Mew ends up getting a bit of revenge against Boston by almost showing a different sex tape featuring Boston to Boston’s dad (who is also a politician). (Side note, this show is really attempting to hammer home the even horrible people don’t deserve to have bad things happening to them as yes you counted right Boston has been recorded without his consent, having sex, twice. One audio, one video. It’s creepy and gross and Boston 100% does not deserve it at all).

By the end of the most recent episode, Ray decides to shoot his shot by confessing to Mew (third times the charm I guess), despite Sand being there. Sand had been taking care of him early in the episode after Ray got into a car accident while driving drunk due to him calling out all of his friends at the end of the previous episode…at Mew’s birthday party no less. Ray has a lot of issues and one of them is that he’s a rich selfish asshole that you love anyway because his actor (Khaotung) is just that charismatic and because you have to feel for Ray because no one (but Sand) really treats him well at all. Mew accepts him this time in a very lack luster fashion that you can tell he is only doing because Mew is upset and angry and just wants to let go.

So the tweet essentially is saying that if Ray and Sand stand a chance at being any kind of couple, Ray has to get with Mew and it has to end badly because Ray needs to actively make the choice to be with Sand instead of being stuck on Mew, which Ray has already proven that he isn’t going to be able to move on any other way.

Ray and Sand as a couple have a hell of a lot more issues to work through but Ray’s love/gratitude towards Mew for saving his life is one of them. (The other being that Ray is, again, a rich asshole who needs to learn that you can’t buy everything and while Sand is poor, he has still a person who has value and is worth of respect, which Ray doesn’t give him much of because again rich selfish asshole. They are the anti Cinderella and I love it and I need Ray to learn this lesson, not because I want Ray and Sand to end up together, I’m on the fence about whether I want any of the couples in ofts to end up together all, but because no matter what it’s a lesson Ray needs to learn anyway).

…Have I mentioned it’s only episode 7 of a 12 episode series? We aren’t even close to being done. Like I said, messy gays being messy. It’s so much fun to watch this toxic af “friends” ruin lives, both their own and each others. Honestly if Top and Sand were smart, they’d be running for the fucking hills but alas, they are not smart.

The show is free to watch on YouTube if you like. It does have a fair amount of sex in it, nothing too explicit though. Jojo have talked repeatedly about how he wants it to be true to life and how it’s not really a romance but rather a drama about gays being young and messy and gay. It’s pretty fun so far and isn’t shying away from the things it wants to focus on, such as sex, addiction (both alcohol and drugs) and friendship.

In conclusion, Only Friends is messy and Ray, Sand and Mew are locked into a love triangle that none of them are even really aware exists. Mew and Ray need to happen for Ray to be able to move on, though most fans are on the fence about whether or not SandRay should end up together or not. I lean towards maybe, but only under highly specific conditions that I doubt the show will meet (which is not a knock nor shade on the show, it would be hard to do even on a drama that is dedicated to it). None of these characters are really actually good people and there is lot of drama I’m leaving out.

a bit of old gabby (+angel ish) talk sparked from the server / my mid-post planning thoughts:

right so like idk. if any of yall know / remember early gabby? but like her name was gabriela muñoz. and she was still angels (who was unnamed? or at least i couldnt properly decide on smth b4 i finally landed on angel. i think santiago was an option at one point. as a joke to go with jouta [sasa and jojo]) best friend and like? a background gal. she didnt do much cuz the au was mostly around j⭐️j🥚 and their friends

the whole thing she basically had was that she was like? just this cool girl who was angels friend. thats it. except the problem came with how jouta didnt Know they were friends and assumed they were dating cuz they were always together n seemed so close. angel didnt have much to do with the main plot outside of being joutas crush which almost never interacted with them

ok being truthful i hardly had anything done with pjoAU but the big like silly thing that was supposed to happen later on was basically just. jouta confessing or smth like that? or somehow the topic would be brought up with whether or not he and gabby were dating. only for gabby to be like Bro noooway. im lesbian 💀💀💀. and thats it idk. him and jouta never got together though if ur wondering.

idk why i went so hard on her design n everything since she didnt have much to do with the story lolll. ig i was unconsciously planning on bigger things for her? or was intrigued by her concept / character n stuff

and if youre wondering abt the bead changes from 3 to 2 then thats just cuz at first i had no thoughts rlly about the logic behind their bead amounts lol i just slapped on whatever since i was more focused on the actual story rather than background

last note is i will say its kinda funny how her style evolved especially alongside her character. like even before i had the "shes the expressive / emotional side of dionysus" thing going i decided to give her like very custom and colorful pants to match her parentage. and then i gave her shorts and button up instead with that concept still kind of in mind. still no deep thoughts abt her character. and then as she progressed into that expressive concept she is now, her style is dramaticish(?) like it was before. rather now its more like. sporty i guess? like tomboyish but in her own casual feminine way. idk just interesting to me kind of

"For the last time, just ask her!" Caesar, your best friend, groaned while you panicked for the nth time today.

"That's easy for you to say!" You snapped back at him, eyes darting around the cafeteria trying to find the one girl that had your heart.

You were both sat waiting for Joseph and Suzie to get out of their classes, and you figured it was now or never: you had to ask Suzie to the prom. It was tonight, but it's better late than never.

Naturally, you were panicking about it.

"Well yeah, I just asked Jojo and he said yes."

"That's because Jojo's crush on you was obvious, Caesar." You began, "and he's probably the horniest guy at our school. Of course he was gonna say yes."

Caesar lightly hit your arm and laughed at the way you described Joseph. You weren't wrong, but this wasn't about them.

As if on cue, Joseph walks in heading straight over to the table and sits uncomfortably close to Caesar with a smug grin on his face. You didn't even want to know. Probably something stupid he did during class has him feeling all high and mighty.

You shook your head, waiting for that bubbly blonde-haired girl to walk in.

And she did.

Did you manifest it by thinking about her too much?

Caesar roughly nudges you in the side with his elbow, snapping you out of your daydream, and you immediately walk over to her and lead her back out to where there is much less people and more fresh air. As you were walking away, you heard Joseph making childish noises before Caesar scolded him.

"Suzie, can I ask you something?" You messed with your fingers as your eyes kept looking between the floor and her deep blue eyes, which were unfortunately unreadable.

"Of course, (Y/N)!" She happily chirps.

God, you love the way she says your name. Her small physique and cheery, yet air-headed, personality just made you want to protect her from everything.

What if she says no? What if she already has a date? What if she doesn't even like girls?

"Uh...(Y/N)? Are you okay?"

Shit. You made your anxiety obvious. Well done.

"Yeah, yeah, don't worry about-" you began to ramble. However, you couldn't help but to stop when you feel her delicate hands against yours as she tries to provide you with a sense of reassurance. How precious. What the poor girl didn't know is that it made things worse, because now you couldn't focus on anything apart from the way her hands felt in yours.

A moment of silence passed.

"Just say what's on your mind," her voice was quiet and gentle, understanding even.

Fuck it.

"Do you wanna go to prom with me, Suzie?"

Slowly, her eyes widened and lit up as an overjoyed smile made its way onto her face. You swear you've never seen her look so happy.

"Wait really!?" She squealed. "I thought you'd never ask! Of course I do," she answered and she felt her face heat up with a bashful blush.

"Never ask?" You echoed. Was... was she waiting for you to ask her this whole time?

"Yeah! I was too afraid to ask in case you already had a date or didn't like girls," she admitted.

"I had the same fear!"

You both just stared at each other in disbelief, before bursting into laughter. During this wholesome moment, she decided to wrap her arms around you and nuzzle her face into your neck, you could feel her sweet smile against your skin.

Reciprocating her hug, you wrapped your arms around her and somehow brought her even closer.

"I'll pick you up thirty minutes before, yeah?"

"Yeah."

You were relishing in each others embrace before you heard two familiar male voices.

"Awww!"

"Be quiet, Jojo!"

Utena tenjou, now utena Turner (no relation to light) is gonna be fucking haliee steinfeld because oughhhh it causes me the most amount of pain and i honestly feel like you couldnt pay her to kiss another woman

Anthy himemiya, now called annie hemingway to not confuse american audiences, is played by priyanka Chopra because they remember anthy is indian but not that shes you know dark skinned

Touga kiryuu, now called tony kerrigan, has to be god whats that dude from to all the boys ive loved before? Noah centineo who is painfully miscast because no one understands touga who is now just genuinely utenas love interest probably

Nanami Kiryuu, now fuckinggggg ouuygghh nancy kerrigan or something, is played by jojo siwa who honestly could probably pull it off i believe in her but not with the script and director who probably make nanami unrecognizable. Because its jojo siwa she gets some new original character to have a blink and you miss it gay kiss with

Saionji kyouichi, now god fucking sean cooper or some shit, is now entirely comic relief so anthy and utena can have #girlpower moments that dont work AT ALL so hes probably like fuckign idk one of the jonas brothers the one who was in jumanji he was pretty good actually

Miki kaoru, now mickey kelly i guess, idk hes like tom holland in a bad wig being his best uwu soft boi

Juri Arisugawa, now julie armstrong, is fucking ahhhhh im running out of hip young actors im gonna have to start looking up the euphoria cast list juris uhhh dove Cameron i think that fits in that it doesnt. Juris also straight shiori doesnt exist her new love interest is ruka/ryan played by uhhhh cole sprouse lets dip into riverdale

Hmmm i think thats everyone except akio? Im gonna be vague on akio since you dont know who he is but

Akio is now aaron Hemingway annies brother and hes played but rahul kohli who is the dude whos way too good for this project and honestly i think he could do it but again akio is unrecognizable hes just anthys supportive but hilarously overbearing older brother

Other things that cause me pain aside from casting:

Utena isnt butch anymore she dresses like a Hollywood tomboy and probably gets a feminine makeover at some point and sticks with it

No one is lgbt except nanami and even then plus they probably make a few jokes about anthy and utena looking like a couple and its really homophobic

Idk the rose bride is now the equivalent of a prom queen and everyones competing to get anthy as their date or something but then anthy and utena start competing to be the rose bride

And because its unrecognizable as rgu utena and anthy both become rose brides and its the climax of the movie where theyre like ...women...dont have..to fight each other....we're all rose brides probably with some mean girls references

It closes on utena and touga kissing and probably idk anthy and saionji kissing and the rest of the couples

Olivia rodrigo makes a cameo as like the prom singer or something and does an english pop cover of rinbu revolution that is also unrecognizable

People online get mad if you ship this version of anthy and utena because theyre straight

I want to ask how did you start liking jotaro, as I saw many ppl hate him a lot, especially in part 3

IM ACTUALLY...REALLY REALLY REALLY EXCITED THAT SOMEONE ASKED ME THIS SO THANK YOU SO MUCH ANONYMOUS LET ME TAKE YOU THROUGH MY JOURNEY <3

so like u mention in the ask, i actually also was one of the ppl that hated him a lot at first (screenshot of this message ft the date for reference)

he was brash and rude and so fucking mean to his mother for no reason and i got sick of the schtick pretty quick. compared to joseph's rambunctiousness and jonathan's honor, jotaro's outright hostility wasnt endearing to me

however, an important thing i remember consciously noting was how he mentions he stays in the jail cell in order to keep people form getting hurt

and so i remember noting "ah. he's gonna be one of those 'me against the world for the sake of my loved ones' types"

the question from then on was if jotaro's character would stick the landing of that archetype

and well, obviously he did (for me at least)

as i continued to watch part 3 i began to feel more amicable toward jotaro. he was not my favorite but i was warming up to him. during jotaor vs dio i really felt for him. it's plain to see this kid is absolutely traumatized even if he tries so hard to ignore it. i personally have always had a soft spot for characters like this. dont really know why. i do not want to psychoanalyze myself to figure it out <3

anyway but finishing part 3 didnt make me a jotaro stan. i liked him enough by then, sure, but he still was rocky and i loved poking fun about him

however i then began part 4 and i much much MUCH preferred this new, more respectable jotaro. he's still got the trauma and rough edges and inability to communicate but he's less of an outright asshole now. the only time i remember disapproving of him during that part was then he punched josuke when they first met 😭 but even then that can be explained by his trauma and how crazy diamond looks similar to the world so i didnt really feel miffed

however jotaro is not the star of part 4 obviously so he kinda faded to the background for me while i fell in love with josuke/the morioh gang at large

but anyway. at this point i had become fully hyperfixated on jojo (phantom blood started it, battle tendency made sure i'd keep watching, and stardust crusaders finalized it) so i was looking shit up about it all the time

a part of that included being exposed to part 6 spoilers obviously. i remember when i first saw jolyne i wasn't sure if she was a popular fanon character cause i just couldn't comprehend jotaro having a daughter 😭

but i did more digging cause while i still poked fun i did like jotaro so i was curious, and... i found out how stone ocean ends. i find out how jotaro's story ends

THIS. is where i began to take a massive turn for him

still some of the playful ribbing but i think u can tell from my typing pattern that the tone of it has changed. jotaro took a new, deeper place in my heart

what solidified it and thus cemented jotaro as probably my favorite character was a couple of things: eyes of heaven and reading the manga of stardust crusaders

eyes of heaven made me really confront how jotaro's one sole wish is just his loved ones being safe and happy. jotaro gets the power to rewrite the timeline however he wanted; he could do literally ANYTHING he wanted. and he chose a happy ending for his loved ones, for his family. he chose to save people he had never met for the sake of others. jotaro is a lot of things but above all he is truly just a man, a man that loves his family so fucking much, and the way eyes of heaven portrayed it just particularly ruined me

coinciding this, i also started reading the stardust crusaders manga i think at first cause i wanted to see kakyoin again super badly. however, this quickly became a venture for also jotaor content, because the manga gave me something the anime would never: jotaro emoting. jotaro being gentle. jotaro, most importantly, being a child who was thrust into a situation far too big for him that he frankly had nothing to do with. the manga combined with his depseration in eyes of heaven helped me to fully come to terms with the fact that jotaro was a SCARED TEENAGER WHO JUST WANTED HIS MOMA DN HIS NEW FRIENDS TO BE OKAY AND IT LED TO ALL OF THIS. it truly made me nuts and we're now here <3

so, tl;dr, jotaro was done BAD bad by davidpro in part 3 by them refusing to let him show any of his vulnerability/childishness, which does him no favors; but ultimately he is a character i think you appreciate more once you know his whole story, as evidenced by my complete turn over post me knowing about part 6. everything he does can be understood a lot better once you understand his end goal (and, well, see everything he does lol) and how it goes for him.

HxH: Leorio

Who wouldn’t want to date this man haha. He would totally get having bad eyesight, and you two might sometimes mistake each others’ glasses (if you have a pair) and wear the wrong ones out. But he will love your hair, it’s just so nice! Not only that, but you’re just someone that he would love hugging since to him you’re so soft. He definitely fell for your looks and your personality on the first meeting.

Speaking of which, he also admires how you can act as a group leader in many situations. It reminds him of his friends, and it makes him happy that you are able to stand up for yourself. Being relaxed with how life is like is refreshing to him as well, since he’s used to being under a lot of stress and not being able to proceed into things without worrying deeply about it. He’s had to grow up and see his friend pass away, and his friend Kurapika isn’t doing well either, so seeing you bravely let the waves of time move you is amazing. He always feels relaxed being around you, and he can’t thank you enough for that.

You both have each other’s backs, and aren’t to tell the other loudly. I can imagine if someone threw something mean in your direction, both of you would say “ExCusE me WhAt” and just proceed to absolutely destroy that person (we saw Leorio’s interaction to Ging). He will make you feel safe and you will make him feel safe, it’s honestly so cute!

He’s not one that’s good at video games, but that doesn’t mean he doesn���t want to play. He got fond of things like Animal Crossing and Mario Kart, and will be more than willing to play with you. He is not the best with horror either haha, but he’s one to try new things. You two going to a haunted house would be so funny, with how he clings to you for dear life while trying to whack the scare actor with his leg and you’re just smiling and waving at the actor.

He thinks your art and your music skills are so cool too. He never was an artist himself and wants to learn how to play piano from you. Maybe he can learn and one day join you in a duet?

Please give him gifts too, it makes him melt. He will often buy you things too even if he’s broke haha.

The most important thing to him is loyalty too. Believe me, he’s the most loyal guy you could ever meet. He thinks of going into relationships in a very serious way, and will make sure he respects you and you know it. Any secrets, insecurities, or thoughts are kept safe with him. He wants to have a loyal partner, and someone he can stay with forever basically since he already lost many close people (think of his friend and more or less Kurapika). He wants you to know that no matter what happens, he’s there for you. He’s a doctor after all, and doctors are there to help.

JJBA: Mikitaka

This alien man is so interested in human culture and customs. When you approached him with your outgoing personality, it surprised him but he was immediately attracted to you because of your beaming smile. He’s usually super reserved, and because of this having you be more or less of a group leader is really reassuring. He likes following you, and the fact that you aren’t scared to take the lead is really nice.

If you buy this man a lot of gifts, he’ll be super happy. He’s always loved collecting human things, so honestly anything you buy for him will stay with him forever. He might be living with you at some point because he’s an alien and why not, so you might find his side of the home cluttered with random trinkets you gave him. You bought him a box of candy? It’s a permanent resident on his windowsill. A wallet? Living rent-free under his pillow. He also has no big issue with you hugging him, and he might really like it. You’re warm to his usually (probably) cold body, and human contact just feels good to him. Kissing him for the first time was really cute with how wide his eyes got.

He loves your hair. It’s long like him, and he will want to braid your hair on some occasions. You know what, the two of you might have dates where all you two do is do each other’s hair.

You love exploring? He does too! Take him places around the world, he will love it. He wants to see more cultures and exploring them with you would only make it better.

He’s a bit slow with humor, so you might have to explain jokes to him sometimes. But when he gets it, he’ll have no issue laughing along. He’s fascinated by human comedy, so teach him some good jokes when you can! He also thinks horror is a strange concept. Why would you want to be scared on-purpose? He does find it interesting and will have no issue watching horror movies or playing horror games with you.

He’s super loyal, caring, and just an overall good vibe. He likes how relaxed you are as well, and overall is happy he came to Earth to meet you.

so the book does this a lot but i’m always a huge fan of when a character (in this case little palace mistress) spouts off a cliche and sqq internally goes “oh my god here we go again. cringe.” it’s like... the reader gets to experience the drama of the cliche but also laugh at it

airplane has gay and homophobic vibes. or like...... araki jojo vibes. it’s so funny

the system keeps forcing sqq into plots that were originally meant for binghe’s harem members, which is of course hilarious (more so now that binghe’s not a teen anymore) - but i’m thinking about the fact that the system is literally powered by binghe. i wonder if binghe’s feelings are subconsciously influencing the system/the rest of the plot? like we know he has plot armor; does he also have enough influence to shift the story’s genre without knowing it? shit like this is why i love this novel. i’m really curious if it’ll be addressed

more of sqq being absolutely terrible at communication <3 please sir. say your FEELINGS. i’m sure you could figure out some way to explain without revealing that you know how the og plot goes...

another thing i find super interesting about sqq’s character is how sure he is that lbh’s gonna turn out how he did in og pidw. he’s just refusing to accept that lbh’s changed in any way, or that he cares about sqq at all anymore. there’s some line somewhere where sqq is like “oh no, being nice to him just made it worse... i’m stuck with him hating me even more now...” like NO. you’re just refusing to see all the signs of lbh’s hidden feelings. love unreliable narrators lmao

fate/destiny is such a big theme i keep noticing stuff about it

the system giving him a multiple choice answer to binghe’s “do you regret it” question, dating sim style, is of course hilarious, but it’s also a fascinating moment for a couple reasons. first, it shows how much of a crutch the system is for sqq - sqq’s leaning on it to fix his problems instead of actually putting in the work himself to get better at interpersonal communication. i hope that in a key moment later he’ll choose to defy the system. i think that would be a nice pivot point for three themes: first, accepting that sometimes he needs to fix problems on his own, without any omniscient outside guidance, second, accepting that not everything is written in stone (either by airplane or by the system), and third, recognizing that binghe and the rest are “real people” (ymmv on whether or not you think they are, but i think this is where i think sqq’s arc is headed) rather than video game objects to be manipulated.

i think that some shifts in his attitude do start to happen in chap 43 though when he sacrifices himself

back to slightly less analytical observations! sqq getting his clothes torn up. oh my god. and lbh’s REACTION...

here is where the fate theme gets REALLY clear. sqq uses “we can’t avoid fate” as an excuse/coverup but lbh is like “no. was it fate that made you do all those horrible things to me?? i’ve decided that fate doesn’t actually exist. fuck the world i do what i want!”

which like. YEAH. protag energy. the rules of the world don’t apply to lbh so much do they???

it’s a bit out of nowhere but also like. i kinda love it? because sqq knows he can’t talk his way out of this. he can’t say “hey it wasn’t me who abused you/made the choice to push you off the cliff.” so he goes and does the most drastic action he can think of. and it WORKS

now initially i was a lil mad about lbh changing his mind so quickly but i actually think it fits for 2 reasons. first, he’s a webnovel character. they do that. second, his mind has just been cleared of xin mo’s influence, which had been plaguing him during his most angry/violent moments, so with all that anger suddenly gone it makes sense for his feelings to shift. and deep down, he really does care about sqq!

sqq fuckin DEAD and finally binghe is sharing his feelings,,

i do think that lbh should be allowed to feel mad about what og!sqq did to him in the past though? like. it was wrong, and though sqq may feel like he’s made up for it, i do think he owes lbh a proper apology and (if possible) an explanation. there’s much more work (and communication) to be done between them but i’m glad they’re finally getting somewhere...

but of course i don’t think they’re gonna be seeing each other again anytime soon :]

Jojo's Love Languages

hi guys! guess who's back with another headcanon thingie! this wasn't requested or anything, just kinda thought about it! If you don't know what the 5 love languages is, your love language is basically how you show love to your partner, or how you wish to be shown love by your partner! I will be doing both today on all the joestars (1-7, im a gappy kinny but I can't write for him it sucks.) Giving~

Jonathan is both Words of Affirmation and Acts of Service.

Jonathan tells his S/O how much he cares for them all the time, how much he loves them, how much they mean to him. He's a sweet man, he's gotta tell them how special they are 24/7.

His other way of showing love is Acts of Service, protecting them, doing anything he can for them, getting things they need, if his S/O needs anything he is up and out the door immediately. If his S/O is in trouble he doesn't hesitate, he is immediately there for them and doing whatever he can for them.

Receiving~

Jonathan loves Quality Time and Physical Touch.

He loves to spend time with his S/O! Going on walks, sitting by the river, sitting by the fire and just talking. He just loves it when they both have the time for each other, it makes him feel special, it makes his heart beat so damn fast you have no idea.

Jonathan loves hugs, cuddles, hand holding, you name it. If they place their hand on his cheek when he's having a bad time, he just immediately melts, he likes feeling safe in his S/O's hands. Sometimes a savior needs to feel safe too.

Joseph

Giving~

Joseph is Receiving Gifts.

Joseph says he loves them a lot, but it's not really the type that say Jonathan would say it. Joseph is more into gift giving to show his love. He's kind of a show off and likes to show off how much money he has but in all honesty, he loves showing that he cares and that he listens by randomly buying something nice for his S/O that they didn't ask him for. Then he will probably gift them with a few kisses and some dinner or just a nice night!

Receiving~

Joseph loves Physical Touch.

Like Jonathan, a protector needs to feel protected as well!

He loves when he comes back home to them and lying in bed, talking about his day while they're lying on his chest, running their hands through his hair. It makes this generally on edge man feel at ease.

He also loves PDA and loves when his S/O shows everyone around them how much they love him, hand holding, hanging on his arm, kisses, hugs, it makes him feel amazing.

Jotaro

Giving~

Jotaro is Acts of Service.

Jotaro doesn't show love as much as he feels love, how you can know that he really loves someone is Acts of Service.

Jotaro will go out of his way to help out his S/O, wether it's little things like helping them reach something on a high shelf, helping them move something, or big things like rescuing them from dangerous situations.

They might get a "Yare Yare Daze" from him after any of these, but he doesn't mean anything bad by it, he's just trying to keep his composure, but he really does love his S/O and would drop everything to help.

Receiving~

Jotaro loves Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch.

I know this is weird, but hear me out for a second.

Jotaro has a lot of trauma, from losing his friends, to losing his memory, he's got a lot going on in the PTSD department.

Having his S/O there to tell him how much they love him and that they're proud of him makes him feel a little less lonely with dealing with all of it. He loves hearing that he is loved.

He might not sound like it, but he loves it when his S/O kisses him or holds his hand or cuddles up against him. He will dip his hat down or turn his head to hide his blush, gotta keep his manly composure. He will sometimes plant kisses on their head when cuddling or holding hands or when they're sleeping. He wants them to know that he loves them in the most non vocal way possible.

Josuke

Giving~

Josuke is Quality Time and Physical Touch.

This boy is always taking his S/O out to dates or inviting his S/O over!

When him and his S/O go out together he likes taking them for walks, just talking about their days, going to get some drinks from Kameyu and walking by the ocean, or just sitting in the grass at the park and just looking up at the sky with eachother.

He loves inviting his S/O over to watch movies or play video games too! (most of the time he gets his ass beat, but that just makes him fall even harder!)

Josuke is the type of guy to yawn and sneakily wrap his arm around his S/O's shoulder and pull them in close. He will usually plant cute quick kisses on their lips or cheeks or place his head on their shoulder. He just likes holding his S/O close to him, especially when they're upset, making them feel better is what he's good at!

Receiving~

Josuke loves Quality Time and Physical Touch.

It's basically the same as giving for him, he loves his S/O showing these forms of love to him!

He loves when his S/O can spend time with him (mostly the things I mentioned in Giving)

He likes when his S/O shows him they love him by touching him, holding his hands, kissing him, cuddling up to him while they're playing games or watching movies together. Again, basically what I mentioned before!

Giorno

Giving~

Giorno is Receiving Gifts and Words of Affirmation.

Giorno isn't the most vocal of people, but he loves his S/O dearly and wants to show how much they really do mean to him!

He isn't the best at giving gifts, but you know what the easiest thing is to give, flowers!

He will find out their favorite flower and when they're upset he will give them a little flower, either placing it in their hand or putting it in their hair. Sometimes when maybe a special event comes up he gives them a bouquet, every one of them different from the rest, even leaving a little sweet note with it.

He also uses his words, again, he's not the most vocal of people, but he will still tell his S/O how much they mean to him and how much he loves them and how great they look! Usually keeping it simple in person, but getting a lot more deep with poems or letters (even though he's not very good at them).

Receiving~

Giorno loves Words of Affirmation.

Sometimes, Giorno can doubt himself a lot, so his S/O telling him how amazing he is and how good he's doing and how much they love him is all he needs!

His life is hard, with losing his friends and his home life being weird in the past it can be hard for him to think on the bright side of things and think about himself in a good way, so his S/O telling him good things about him to remind him is always amazing to him. This is how he feels loved.

Jolyne

Giving~

Jolyne is all five.

Now, I know this is strange but let me go through all of them!

Words of Affirmation - Jolyne will tell her S/O all the time that she loves them. Unlike her father, she's very vocal about a lot of things, yeah somethings she will probably say something while they're both joking around or when she's frustrated, but she wants her S/O to know she still loves them! She is vocal about her love towards her partner.

Acts of Service - They need something from the store, she's on it, they need protection, she's on it, they need her to tell someone on the internet off, oh she's there before you even ask! She will do anything for her S/O, she has a little bit of trust issues from Romeo, but she knows that her current S/O means her no harm (as long as they don't make her bury a body-).

Receiving Gifts - Jolyne loves showering her S/O with gifts, even if it's little things like candy! Especially when her S/O is sad, she will take them to the nearest drug store and pick them up anything they want!

Quality Time - Jolyne always loves spending time with her partner! She loves building pillow forts and watching movies, having her S/O falling asleep in the middle of the movie, so cute! She doesn't really like going out to eat, so she would probably just get food delivered, when they order food they usually swap who gets to choose the food that night, but if her S/O is having a bad day she will let them choose.

Physical Touch - Jolyne doesn't show physical too much, not really big gestures, but like Josuke she does the little things like placing her arm on their shoulder and pulling them into her on the couch and giving them little kisses on the cheeks and lips!

Receiving~

Jolyne loves Quality Time and Physical Touch.

Like before, Jolyne loves spending time with her S/O and gets pretty sad when her S/O isn't around, so if they ever go out of town you bet your ass they're getting the best night of their life. Movies, food, make out sesh, living the dream baby!

Just because Jolyne isn't the best at touching doesn't mean she doesn't like it! She loves when her S/O is sweet on her! Gives her kisses, cuddles up against her, random hugs, god she loves it so so much! She gets all blushy and they get a "Yare Yare Dawa" from her, but she doesn't hesitate to hug and kiss back.

Johnny

Giving~

Johnny is Acts of Service and Physical Touch.

Even though Johnny is paralyzed that does not mean he can't protect his S/O! He's such a stubborn man he would hop on Slow Dancer right away to protect his S/O or get them something.

Johnny is awkward, but he will still show love by doing little things, like small kisses or hand holding, he's hesitant at first, just because, again, he's awkward, but he will eventually get there, you know, with his face bright red while he's doing it.

Receiving~

Johnny loves Words of Affirmation.

Johnny has had not a great past, he regrets all the ways he acted when he was a teen and still regrets all of it and still feels like a horrible person.

When his S/O tells him that he's not a bad person and that they love him and they care about him and that he's perfect he falls for them again. He hates remembering the past, so his S/O being there makes him feel loved and lets him forget how he once was.
