journal entry #01: sevika drabble/imagine...potential fic?

take my hand and walk with me here, okay?

imagine, high school teacher sevika who teaches an specific country's history. maybe african american studies along with south asian...just something that relates to her and her background and she's hella passionate about it yk. obviously coming from (and still living) an under privilege neighborhood comes with its challenges and now dealing with wealthy people drives her up a wall but the students actually enjoy her class and have a genuine desire to learn and find her gruff, no-nonsense, give it to you straight attitude a breath of fresh air from the posh and authoritative teaching that they are used too (although some don't but does she care, no.) the parents don't really understand why so many students genuinely enjoy her class when she's like scary asf? and most teachers in the department look down upon her bc of her background but hey, the credentials and degree's speaks for themselve (plus they're too scared of her to say anything directly too her). her one friend in the department is mel who teachers african american studies but AP level bc mel's just that girl, ANYWAYS.

the two are chatting one afternoon in the teachers lounge and mel casually mentions the new english teacher working and how interesting she was too talk too. sevika tried to pry a little bit more but given how tight lipped mel is (and her cocky smile), she genuinely didn't give a fuck until her students begin coming to class with this new teacher on the tip of their tongues. how she's so sweet, kind, funny, and the work is interesting? yea, she has to go sniff the newbie out herself just to make sure those knuckle heads aren't ripping their teeth into her. she's already envisioning some soft, big doed eyed, fresh out of college teacher with no actual teaching experience and letting those kids walk all over her.

so imagine her surprise when she takes a peak into..paradise? a cozy and comfy classroom with a colorful rug, throw pillows, bookshelves lining up the wall with poorly but cute hanged up novel posters with a mixture of string lights nad lamps? yea, sevika already decided the woman was fresh meat thrown into the wolves until her eyes found their way to a woman sitting next to a student, on a small makeshift couch mind you, with her arms wrapped around the crying girl's shoulder. the woman was still soft looking with a grandpa sweater on along with a maxi skirt, the colorful glasses didn't help either or the dangling star and moon earrings but her voice was warm and firm. her eyes were gentle but full of fire and her lips were turned into a genuine smile with a smirk edging the corners of her face. whatever joked she shared made the student laugh and wipe her own tears away and when the new teacher turned to stare at sevika, feeling a presence staring into her, with an arched brow in*challenge* her presence, she could've sworn she felt her heart skip a beat.

journal footnotes: could this be something...maybe. do i have another work in process fic for another fandom, yes. do i still imagine this plotline and characters every single hour of my being...yes. is this self indulgent, yes, but hey this is a form of self-care.

SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP THEY DID MY GIRL SO DIRTY there are so many. good river song moments. and there are so manythat make me want to tear a strip off steven moffat like every goddamn episode with her they have to make some obnoxious sex joke or some Honey Im Home type shit & i understand this is like. A Moffat Theme & i dont always hate it but goddddd its so reductive like there is so much!!!! that could be done with her character !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is overshadowed by haha what if she was sexy like STOPPPPPPPPPPPP.

like silence in the library was a really good character lead in & i like her!!! as a character !!!! even the overly flirtatiousness unfortunately that would work on me but even aside from that. she is a good character let down but the sheer pull-it-out-of-your-ass writing of her backstory. like?? she could regenerate cos she was conceived in the tardis okay thats really cool much weirder stuff has happened when it comes to tardises & making babies but then WE SeE THIS FOR LIKE. ONE OR TWO EPISODES BEFORE THEYRE LIKE WHOOPS THAT DOESNT WORK ACTUALLY COS SHE'S DEAD UHHH SHE BETTER UHMM IDK SAVE TH E DOCTOR OR SOMETHING WHATEVER> COS HER ENTIRE LIFE HAS TO REVOLVE AROUND HIM. HASHTAG MARRIAGE AMIRITE like even the fact that her entire life was shaped around him isnt a Bad Idea it just feels like no one considered the tragic impies (implications) of this, & simultaneously doing amy so dirty in the process as well like??? she loses baby mels & then discovers she was her (never previously mentioned) childhood friend but then she uhhhh dies & turns into this woman you already know and them????? barely eveer mention it again???? holy shit?????????????????????? amy & river is a freaking horror story but one that the writers seem imcapable of dealing with because sOMEONE is too busy making obnoxious jokes about married life

also the nine & river audios from earlier this year? i really like archipelago i listened to that a couple of times & i thought it was really powerful but AGAIN the writers make river So Fucking Obsessed With Romance like. you'd let it go by that point. nine had literally just proved he's the most aro guy in the universe (good for him) and shes stillllllll flirting at him. which. imo she wouldnt do anymore because, shock horror, she does actually like him as a person & values his company and you would think you would be friends wit hthe guy YOU ARE GONG TO MARRY OR WHATEVER. NOT THAT THEIR MARRIAGE WAS PARTICULARLY ROMANTIC EITHERIM GONNA BE SO REAL. obviously sex is important to her & good for her but yikes. it doesnt need to be mentioned so often.

I’m sorry but the machine herald wasn’t even machine, it was magic!!! He’s not the Magic Herald, he’s the machine herald and yet they didn’t include any of that??

Correct me if I’m wrong because I don’t play League but isn’t the Machine Herald’s whole thing still being a man but wanting to IMPROVE humanity by taking away their weaker parts by exchanging them for machinery? And yet, in arcane, he doesn’t give a fuck and is just turning in to the people he “helped” in to mindless husks? Also when he got blown to bits by Jayce, I really thought he was gonna replace himself with mechanical parts but NO THEY JUST MADE HIM EVEN MORE MAGIC???

Like the scenes with Jayce were sweet but the whole “you were trying to perfect yourself” NO SIR HE WANTED TO STOP AN ILLNESS THAT WAS CAUSING A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH??? Like idk if people realize this but Viktor was GRIEVING like he found out he was dying which is a gigantic pill to swallow and clearly he wasn’t in his right state of mine and then when he finally accepted his fate, his already short life span was cut SHORTER by the explosion and even then, I feel like it was the scene with the hexcore that took away HIS choice of 1) wanting to just die and 2) destroying the hexcore!

I also fully believe that while Viktor was doing bad things, I think the Arcane was a corrupt form of magic (we’ve seen that there IS good magic like Mel’s) and it was corrupting Viktor in a way that made him think what he was doing was the ONLY way and that he HAD to do because again, he wasn’t in a clear state of mind so I fully believe that he was aware of what he was doing but he truly believed this was the ONLY way (like I’ve mentioned earlier it’s so similar to Wanda with the Darkhold and how it was corrupting her when she was at her most vulnerable by showing her what she wanted and that by doing all those bad things, it’s the only way she could get her wish)

Another thing I hated was them revealing that the Mage wasn’t Ryze (IT SHOULD’VE BEEN HE WOULD’VE MESHED SO WELL WITH THE STORY) but Viktor and that he just kept going back in time so Jayce could stop him which is so ???

Like I’m sorry but that’s literally so dumb because it just makes the world of Arcane seem even smaller! Like the way season 2 has been trying to make connections that didn’t need to be there makes it seem like Piltover and Zaun as a whole have a population of 30!

Like it would’ve been so much sweeter (lowkey power of friendship type ship but I’ll leave it at that) if Jayce and Viktor CHOSE to be partners and brothers and friends and whatever it is you see them as and that it wasn’t forced because of “fate” but because of THEIR choice! Like it lowkey just takes away the characters autonomy cause it’s like “well yeah you actually didn’t pick this person it was predestined!!!”

It’s just so disheartening because Viktor is such a good character and to just take away all the good things they could’ve done with him is just upsetting.

I have been CHILLING this week post-Vengeance saga release! I managed to avoid debilitating stress and anxiety from the onslaught of fan stuff by simply avoiding all social media for the first two days, so it's been good!

However, I am now BACK, dumping my immediate reaction of the saga from a week ago. I thought I was ready. I was not ready. 600 Strike blew my mind. I was left staring blankly at my ceiling. Jorge please rest sometime, I'm begging you. The amount of talent beaming through my screen is exhausting even me.

Arcane's second season was shakier than the first, but still hit way more than it missed.

With that said, there is one part of it that I am really, really disappointed in.

(SPOILERS BEHIND CUT)

Jinx.

So, the concept for Arcane and whatever shows follow it is that it's the reality behind the world and characters seen in League of Legends. Legends have to come from somewhere, after all, and we see how they came to be in Arcane. And that works...except for Jinx.

In the first season, there was no such problem. It was masterful in being an origin story for Jinx, concluding with her choosing her path and becoming the nihilistic, psychopathic terrorist that would become legendary for her evil deeds. But similarly to Joker: Folie a Deux and how it handled its title character, the second season displayed great narrative cowardice by backtracking on this. It didn't do it immediately, mind you - Act 1 still had Jinx as she was where we left her, someone whose sole motivation in life is to "watch it all burn". She's not pure evil, as displayed by her bonds with Sevika and Isha, but she's also not redeemable.

Yet then Act 2 starts and she's suddenly become this inspiring symbol of resistance for Zaunites even though her actions have made things objectively worse for them by every metric. She resists this label only to later embrace it, becoming a "big fat hero" as she puts it. Then we get the revelation of Warwick being Vander, which is followed by Jinx reconciling with Vi and basically becoming Powder again, which is followed by her heroically saving Caitlyn's life, which is followed by her losing Isha which turns her suicidal only to be talked down from it by Echo which is followed by the finale where....well, if you're reading this far you probably already know. And all of this is executed pretty well, but it begs the question:

"How the fuck did any of that result in THIS being the public perception of Jinx!?"

How did the legend of Jinx become her as a villain and not her as a hero? She had already become viewed as a hero by Zaun even when she technically wasn't one, and then she played a huge and very flashy role in saving Piltover during the final battle, meaning they should also see her more positively now! There is no logical reason that the narrative of her as a loony terrorist who blows shit up for the lolz should be the one enshrined into legend.

And what hurts is that no other character has this issue. Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Viktor, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Singed, Warwick, not to mention the inevitable Mel legend that's going to be added to the game like her mother was...you can totally track how their legendary characters were shaped even if it's not wholly reflective of reality with a lot of nuances missing. But Jinx now has a huge disconnect between the person and the legend that doesn't make any sense.

Like I said, it feels like narrative cowardice. The ending of Season 1 had Jinx choosing the "Jinx" chair over the "Powder" chair, telling Vi things can never go back to how they were between them, and then has her let out a scream as she fires her bazooka at Piltover which was clearly meant to symbolize Powder's death cry; through committing this act, Jinx is killing what was left of her old self. The natural follow-up to this was for her to stay as she was presented in Season 2's Act 1 - no morality, no grander purpose, just living for chaos. But Jinx became popular, including with the writers, and they didn't want to commit to the tragedy they'd so excellently built up. It's such a letdown. Arcane and Jinx both deserved a lot better.

Arcane Season 2 Act 2 thoughts!

I think there’s something to say about this show’s willingness to kill off kids that every time Isha was on screen in this act I was saying “is it now? Is this where they’re going to kill her? I know this kid is getting offed at some point the only question is when”

That said, I do like the death they chose for her - how it ties back to Powder use of the hextech gems all the way back in 103. Lot of parallels in general between Isha and Power, and it was pretty clear Jinx (and Vi) saw that.

While we’re mentioning Jinx and Vi - holy shit episode 5. Not that we have the last three episodes yet, but ep05 is definitely my favourite of the season so far, if not my favourite of the entire show. Jinx immediately going to Vi when she finds out about Vander, the parallels between their conflict and the conflict between Silco and Vander.

Also the bit of history we get of Silco, Vander and Felicia, Vi and Powder’s mum, being this trio of friends who were all envisioning a better life and wanting it specifically for these two little girls. Just adds that bit of extra tragedy to Felicia’s death, Vander and Silco’s rift, and everything that happened after.

And then we get Vi at the end of the episode trusting Jinx’s conviction that Warwick is Vander and because of that they’re able to reach that bit of consciousness left in him together. Yeah episode 5 had me feeling all the feels.

I don’t have too much to say about the other storylines lmao I’m mostly still thinking about Jinx and Vi but hey I’ll try.

Confirmation that Mel has magic! And somehow it ties to the black rose which is interesting. I liked that the rose was trying to use her brother’s image to get her to figure out her powers (paralleled nicely to the sibling theme with Jinx and Vi too) and that Mel realised that. Not much else happening there, no doubt it’s going to come into play more in the last act with the things that will be happening there.

I think the ball was dropped a bit on Caitlyn in this act? Like we see her push back a bit against Ambessa in the starts of the act, but generally she felt pretty passive up until ep06 when she decided to team back up with Vi. I might have to rewatch these three eps again (and closer to the last three eps) to get a better idea, but yeah generally I think Cait fell a bit flat.

Not much to say on Jayce, as I’m sure we’re going to learn what happened with him at the start of ep07 (and Ekko and Heimerdinger too - THERE WAS NO EKKO THIS ACT I’M SAD) - however it was very funny in our watch party as we were all screaming JAYCE NO YOU’RE GONNA FUCK EVERYTHING UP during his actions in ep06. And well, yeah lmao

All of Viktor’s cult members screaming in unison and bluescreening when Jayce killed him was fucking haunting.

I was getting kinda worried partway through this act that we’re doing to much that we’re not really going to be able to wrap up properly. I’m still a little concerned, however with the way the last episode ended I think we’ve cleared a few things off the board that will make the final act tidier.

Predictions - I think the Piltover v Zaun is going to be put into an uneasy truce at this point, as the main conflict will now be fending off Ambessa and the Noxians. Secondary conflict - whatever Jayce found out about hextech and the arcane. Also now that Jayce is back on the map and in the same area as Ambessa, its possible she’ll finally get her hands on the scientist she wants to make hextech work for her, so that’s how those two plots will converge.

I think for the most part, the Vander subplot will be classed as over now, and probably most of the Viktor subplot too (though I’d say there might be a few more effects on that part). And we’ll get a lot more Mel and Black Rose stuff going on as it relates to Ambessa. I wanna hope we’ll get a lot more Ekko too? (he’s in the opening twice, I wanna believe he’ll have a big part) Though at this stage, apart from him also going on the hextech trip with Jayce and possibly learning what Jayce did, I don’t see where too much more of him will fit in.

As for Jinx and Vi, I wouldn’t be surprised if Isha’s death and Vander’s going beyond the point of being saved might put a rift back between Jinx and Vi. Particularly with Vi reconnecting with Caitlyn and likely wanting to help her against the Noxians too. I wanna hope that won’t be the case, but I don’t really expect this show to be a happy ending type show.

Wynonna Earp: Vengeance Thoughts

I've watched the special twice now so I've put some thoughts together on how I felt about it. Overall I thought it was really good and Emily did a good job of balancing both appealing it to new viewers who may not be attached to these characters but having a plot that they could be intrigued by and also still going back to the show's roots and making it about everything we know and love with these characters. I'm going to put more detailed thoughts under the cut, feel free to share yours either on the post or by messaging me and we can discuss! And also keep watching so we give it a bunch of views and a good chance to have more than just this special :)

The beginning of the movie starting with Nedley and Mercedes was unexpected but so good. Sad that Mercedes had to be sacrificed right away, Dani Kind is awesome but the way they did that with her body spelling out ‘Earp’ was insane ad fit this show perfectly.

Wynonna walking through the casino to ‘Tell That Devil’ was perfect and gave me all the feels. 

Wayhaught’s first scene was adorable and so them. The Bunny interruption was perfect too. Loved her little involvement lol

I never really liked Wynonna and Doc romantically (Team Dolls all the way) so a lot of their involvement I didn’t really care for (though I do love Tim so it’s hard to not care for Doc completely). Their dynamic has always been sort of odd to me though. 

Wynonna putting on the leather jacket before making her way back to Purgatory was another iconic moment. 😭❤️

All the Wynonna/Waverly/Nicole scenes in the movie were perfect. I wish we had more. Wynonna teasing them any chance she could and Nicole giving it to her right back. The scene when Wynonna just returns home was one of my favorites in the whole special. The stairs comment was my favorite Kat’s delivery of ‘Shut your mouth’ 😂 her comment on the chore wheel “It’s your turn to clean the baseboards…whatever that means in gay’ 😂

Wynonna and Waverly drunk at Mercedes wake and Nicole having to deal with their stupidity 😂 that whole sequence was absolute chaos in the best way

Loved Nicole and Nedley’s heart to heart ❤️ their dynamic is so special and important 

They really put Nicole through hell (as usual) and we got to see her be badass which I love. Also kudos to Kat for doing all this physical stuff while being pregnant. She’s amazing. 

Waverly and Wynonna having a heart to heart in front of the fire just like old times ❤️

The scene of Waverly, Wynonna, Nicole and Doc at the table really felt so right. The four of them are so good together. 

The flashbacks of younger Wynonna to tie in her connection to the villain were really well done and especially the shots of present Wynonna seeing some of it. Great directing choice.

Nicole and Wynonna telling each other the hard truths all while being incredibly entertaining is my favorite thing. And in contrast seeing Doc and Waverley’s relationship is so great too. 

This Black Badge Agent was incredibly underwhelming. A poor man’s Dolls and did nothing for me. I saw Emily’s explanation about not wanting to have too many familiar characters (as a reason why Jeremy wasn’t more involved) but this guy was just..meh. 

The way they just casually dropped a kids mention with Wayhaught only to be interrupted right after…I think it makes sense that Nicole is ready for kids and Waverly isn’t (yet) because she still needs to explore and do things she hasn’t been able to yet but I do hope if they are able to do more that it’s brought up again

Nicole having to save Waverly from a dark goo (again) was a nice touch and I loved seeing that whole sequence (acted brilliantly by both Dom and Kat) Also all the times Nicole said fuck 😂

Wynonna and Doc porch scenes are always so heartbreaking. 😭 I don’t have much of an attachment to them together but Mel and Tim are so good in these kinds of scenes. 

The amount of ‘baby’ mentions for Wayhaught in this special made me super happy 😍

This Wayhaught convo about Waverly needing to go do her thing with Black Badge and Nicole assuring her they can handle it was so good. They are so in love and precious. “I wish I could be the one to show you the world.” 😭 My favorite line. Ugh I want that for them so bad! 

The Wynonna and Nedley convo at the cemetery was so good too. I love that this show/cast can basically put any two people together in a scene and they’re so good together in said scene. 

Wayhaught on stakeout duty up top while Wynonna and Doc handle things on the ground was epic. And then when Nedley joined in…amazing lol

Loved seeing Wynonna being the badass we know her to be and taking care of things in her chaotic way and getting Nicole’s wedding ring back 🥰

I’m still shocked they went there with Doc and killing him but I do think it will end up being temporary if they end up doing more. It’s so sad to do that to Wynonna AGAIN too after she dealt with Dolls dying on top of everything else…stop torturing this poor woman already!! 

It also seemed odd to me how none of them really had a reaction to Doc’s death…wonder if that was supposed to mean something. I’m glad they had Jeremy show up at this point though. 

Wayhaught’s goodbye before Waverly leaves 😭 and Waverly saying goodbye to Wynonna too 😭…but excited for Waverly to have this journey and now Wynonna and Nicole working together…it leaves so much left for them to still do which I like. 

Nedley watching Nicole and Wynonna like a proud dad ❤️ great ending with the last shot being that sign and Earp mailbox...very well done! 

I do wish Rachel could have been involved (I loved her dynamic with Nicole especially in Season 4 and she is so Wayhaught's child) but Emily kind of explained that we'll see why she wasn't involved in the audiobook thing so I'm intrigued by that.

I also was kind of hoping we'd get more of just Wayhaught in general but of course I'm biased since they're my favorite part of the show/series and that we'd get more of them being intimate together but it was a lot more of it being implied (which I did enjoy and found funny especially in the way Wynonna would do it) and I get they only had a certain amount of time but now it's just made me want more of them in general so I do hope we get more now 🤞🏻

That episode just did nothing for me.

Now before I go on, it does have the potential to be saved if the second turns out to be amazing and worth all the build up. But on its own, I have to rant.

I could not care less about Sutekh. Pyramids of Mars is a great story, the villain has an eerie presence and incredibly chilling voice, but as the God of Death on its own? Just the most basic and boring of motivations. Even with that, what made Sutekh so creepy in the original story was that he Did Not Move. He's just stuck in a chair but is able to manipulate others and torture the Doctor mentally. Giant CGI Egyptian pupper does not have the same effect.

And the rest of the episode was just a lot of dragging out and build up for what was clearly not going to be revealed. The episode could have cut a lot of that and just taken a moment to breathe.

Seriously, the Susan thing pissed me off from the cold open because I knew it would be a fake lead. The fact that Ruby seemed so sure of it because of the name and the Doctor went along. "Susan was the name of my granddaughter." - you met a horse with that name in S7! It's extremely common! Not to mention the whole "I'd recognise her" - like you did the Master?

And then there's implying the Doctor never had kids and that Susan is a grandchild from a kid he has in the future. What happened to him telling Donna "I've been a father before"? Speaking of which; FUCKING JENNY! Yes, he doesn't know she's alive, I don't even think RTD does at this point but the more that's just ignored bothers me.

Not to be too mean to this episode; the actors all did amazing. It was great seeing Rose again but I'm also hoping she has a bit more of a purpose being there, it would have been nice to see her and Ruby actually talk properly. Mel telling Fifteen to pick himself up after he hits the wall was a nice little moment.

There's just too many mystery boxes for my liking and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the reveal of Ruby's birth mum has a lot more of an emotional weight. My theory though? They're going to pull a Meet The Robinsons and either have her just be some random woman who gave her up for whatever reason, or Ruby will accept she won't know and she has the mum who raised her and that's enough. Which on paper sounds lovely and was nice in Meet The Robinsons, but for here it would be a massive cop out.

Mel was a girl that lived in Germany, until her bullshit narc father made them move to Maine in America at the age of 16, she’s always struggled with mental disorders, she knows she has something but her father says she’s attention seeking and doesn’t have her diagnosed.

Car ride

After arguing with my dad I sit and look out the window earbuds connected to my iPod, I might get used to this place it’s kinda pretty.

My dad ended up pulling into this rickety old parking lot, this apartment complex looked like SHIT, I wouldn’t be shocked if I got syphilis from grabbing the keys from the receptionist.

“Anthony it smells like dick cheese and heroin in this lump of shit”

“Melanie how many fucking times do I have to tell you to not call me by my name I am your father. You will treat me as such you worthless brat”

“Cry me a river.”

He scoffs as you get into the elevator “listen just try and get along here, I’m trying to do better”

“Leaving me at grandmas and starting a new family isn’t better Tony.”

“Will you ever let that go? I thought you loved your siblings”

“I do love my siblings with my whole heart, but I will never forgive you for this”

The elevator dings

I walk out and find your door, you unlock it and walk in leaving the door open for Anthony, it smells like mold in this place, I walked and found a room, at least I have my own bathroom

I start unpacking, pinning my tapestry’s up, placing books and vinyls down, I stand up and look around thinking about going grab my mattress out of the trailer.

As I get to the elevator and get to the 1st floor I run out the door and open the trailer, hauling the mattress out, I can’t help but feel like I’m being watched, the hairs on the back of her neck begin to stand.

She thinks of it as nothing, dragging the mattress with all her might to the elevator, finally getting inside.

The elevator dings

She walks out with her mattress and goes inside the new apartment, dragging her stuff to her room, finally throwing the mattress on the floor

Who has money for a bed frame? It’s more comfortable on the floor anyway.

She hears music. Fuck, her dad’s drinking again, she runs to lock her door, he’s already there.

“Cmon mel let’s dancee”

“No Tony get away from me.”

She try’s to close the door

“Don’t you fucking shut me out.”

He grabs her by her hair and drags her to the main room making her sway with him to the music.

Tears begin to flood her vision, she begins to realize his hands wandering, she tenses up, trying to leave his grasp but he just holds tighter.

She feels as if she cant breathe.

Please stop

Not again

He’s groping her, he stops to whisper in her ear “it’s your own fault Melanie”

She’s had enough, the fantasies of bashing his head in and ripping him limb from limb, hanging his organs like fairy lights around the house, she stares at him strongly just imagining his arm breaking over and over again, she forms a small smile.

Suddenly there’s a snap.

“WHAT THE FUCK MY ARM MY FUCKING ARM”

“WHAT DID YOU DO YOU BASTARD”

She sits in shock as she sprints to her room and locks it.

Looking down she breaks a small laugh not knowing wtf just happened, it hits her that it was her that did it? She doesn’t understand

She grabs an empty coke can from the car ride there, thinks of it just crumpling until her head hurt, it crushed.

Her eyes widen in shock, how did she do that, suddenly she hears static. It’s loud. Very loud.

Then black.

The next day

She wakes up with a headache, what happened? She looks at her clock it’s 1pm the next day, groggily she gets up and goes to her bathroom starting the shower, not until now she hadnt realized how ghetto her bathroom looked.

Whatever, she gets undressed hops in the shower, just standing there, thinking.

She grabs her shampoo scrubbing her scalp, she thinks of going in the woods to try her new found abilities.

*drip*

God fucking dammit, she watches as blood drips down her thigh.

Woods are going to have to wait, I need to go to the store. As she hops out of the shower drying off, her hair is still damp but thinks it looks better that way.

She uses her last tampon and walks out of the bathroom, grabbing from her bag a bra and panties and 2 pre rolls.

She puts on the panties and bra, then lights the pre roll, looking out the window she feels like someone’s watch but sees no one.

Whatever, she grabs her shirt with rob zombie on it, a shirt that leaves her shoulders out showing her bra straps, she puts on fish nets and Jean shorts, finishing the pre roll she puts it out on her windowsill.

She grabs her socks and puts on her doc martins, grabbing her backpack in the process, and runs out the door.

Shutting the apartment door and locking it, and then she walks into the elevator bringing her down to the first floor.

Walking out of the complex she starts to light her second pre roll, she begins walking to the nearest store MSI blasting through her headphones.

Finally making it into the store she walk straight to the feminine hygiene and grabs tampons, then it hits her that she’s broke, she stuffs the box in her back pack quickly leaving.

The adrenaline rush of stealing is something she will never get over. She begins to run into the woods across the street, static filling her ears again.

It’s not as bad as last time, she finishes the last pre roll and puts it out in the piles of leaves, she sits walks deeper into the woods, sitting by a tree stump and setting down her bag.

Pulling out her earbuds and shutting off the iPod she sits and waits.

Waiting for maybe too long

She drifts to sleep.

SEASON II - MY ARCANE DR

so, season two did not fit my vision of my arcane dr. and I am going to change it, because it's my reality and I can do whatever the fuck I want. SO, here's the plot changes I've made! (if you are also heartbroken over all the tragedy and need inspo)

season one has stayed almost exactly the same, for reference.

LONG POST INCOMING

ACT I

After Silco's death, Jinx and I make a pact with each other—to not let each other fall apart. And we made another promise, as children of Silco—to keep his dream alive, the dream of seeing Zaun independent. (To symbolize this, I start wearing Silco's jacket)

We take over in Silco's place (with help from Sevika) and start making changes (taking out the chem-barons before they cause trouble and putting restrictions on Shimmer). I also approach Ekko and the firelights about making an alliance. He's skeptical, but I don't push him into anything yet. I miss my best friend, I don't want to push him away.

Piltover wants war because of Jinx's attack on the Council and we're prepared to give it to them.

I go topside to inform them of our choices, rallying Zaun behind me. I meet with the Council. On my way there, I see Vi, on their side. It enrages me more. As I meet back up with Jinx back in Zaun, we run into a little kid on the run from one of the Barons men. We save her and she starts tagging along with us (Isha).

When Caitlyn and her team start raiding Zaun, Ekko approaches me—saying enough is enough. We form an alliance and start to repair our own relationship.

When Viktor emerges from his stasis, he still parts ways with Jayce and returns to Zaun. But, instead of encountering the shimmer addicts, he finds me. I end up recruiting him to our cause—as he's a Zaunite at heart. (So, no Viktor Jesus cult, yay!)

The Jinx, Vi and Caitlyn fight happens, but I'm also there. When Caitlyn shows her true colors, we go to the contingency plan. We launch our first counterattack against Piltover.

Caitlyn becomes dictator, but without Ambessa's influence—Mel kicks her mom out of town, refusing to fight in her war.

ACT II

In my version, Jinx doesn't become a recluse. She and I stay as faces of the revolution, staging attacks against Piltover and defending our city. I start spending more time with Ekko in the firelights' hideout, he slowly becomes my solace through all of this. Jinx and I practically adopt Isha and she finds a safe place in the firelights. Ekko promises that he'll keep her safe, since I know I can't.

(I'm not bring Vander back, sorry lmao. I'm not putting us through that)

I go and find Vi after her emo breakup, talking her back into the fight with mentions of Vander and his dream. I also facilitate the reunion between the sisters, after all, Vi's practically my sister too. It takes awhile, but a common cause helps to unite us. With me, Jinx, Vi, and Ekko back together, it's like we're kids again.

Viktor has spent most of his time in solitude, tuning into his magic and figuring out his next step. I start meeting with him when the magic radiating off of him triggers a familiar reaction in me. Like a long lost memory coming up to the surface.

A moment of peace. Vi, Jinx, and I slowly repair our relationships with each other. Ekko and I grow closer. We plan our next moves, using Vi's information from her time as an Enforcer.

Caitlyn and Jayce lead an attack into Zaun, looking for us. But Caitlyn and Jayce each have their own moments of crisis when they see their respective partners have joined our side. They don't give in, but the attack is far less fatal than usual.

ACT III

because the arcane subplot is almost entirely written out, Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger don't end up across the multiverse. In fact, almost thing entire act is different than canon.

After interacting with some magical residue Viktor left behind, I'm thrown into a dream where I realize that my mother was a mage before she was killed—and she passed the gift down to me. I can manipulate vibrations down to a microscopic level, or up to an earthquake.

Mel reaches out to me to arrange a secret meeting away from the council. She's gone through her transformation—she's a mage too. She expresses her interest in negotiating peace between the two cities and independence for Zaun. No one wins in war. But, she says, the rest of the Council are in no state to agree, not unless we give up Jinx for the attack on the Council. I thank her for being so diplomatic, but refuse. She's my sister, I won't give her up, for anything.

We have our final battle between the two cities—the last fight for rebellion. But, it ultimately doesn't last. In a confrontation between the leaders of Zaun and the Council of Piltover, we agree to a ceasefire. Zaun gains it's independence and seats on the Council.

I retire from my position as ringleader and let Sevika take over, moving forward to my happy ending with my reunited family—and Ekko.

so, that's all the changes I made to my arcane dr for season 2! If I didn't mention something, I either forgot or didn't change it. I'm really happy with all the changes I've made and can't wait to experience it all firsthand.

Okay, so here’s one!

With todays video of Matty being hot while driving. I was thinking about Ruth’s friends messing with her about how hot her dad is. She has a short fuse but specially if they mention her dad, every time they try to say something bad about Matty’s past Ruth is ready to fight but saying her dad…her favourite person in the entire word and who she loves the most is fit or whatever makes her seem read because jealousy.

So imagine him picking her up from school while driving one of his cool cars, smoking and all dressed like a proper rockstar. The teenagers with their hormones very alive are practically drooling for him lol.

“Your fit dad is here, Ruth!”

Matty is there waiting for her to approach the car, waving at her sweetly. Ruth is his baby and will be forever. Mel is daddy’s princess but Ruth is his baby and best friend out of the three, specially when Mel goes away for Uni/college.

“Shut the fuck up, Laura!” Ruth spits, walking far from them towards her dad. This one starts to wave again so she’s sure they are waving at him now.

“Hello, sunshine!” He greets her but her frown worries him. “What’s wrong?”

“Drive.” She sinks on her seat, looking in front of her.

Matty doesn’t hesitate and drives them home without giving the teenagers looking at him more attention.

After a while he tries asking her again. “Aren’t you going to tell your old man what’s wrong?” Ruth feels how he’s pinching her cheek, gaining her attention.

“No.”

“Please, please, please.” She rolls her eyes because he can be insufferable sometimes.

“Dad, stop.”

“You know you can tell me everything right?”

“Not this.”

“Even if it’s about boys…or girls-“

“Dad, please could we not?!”

“Or sex.”

“I hate you.” She says folding her arms annoyed.

“‘m serious!”

“Well, this is not about that, okay?”

“Then tell me…”

Silence falls between them. Matty doesn’t want to press too much. He knows she will tell him sooner or later, so he waits.

The rest of the drive home is quiet, Ruth is trying to find the words because she wants to share the information but also no.

One Matty stops the car in front of their house, Ruth says, “My friends are all about how hot…” she needs to stop for a second. “How hot my dad is and how much they want him, you. It’s all they talk about these days and I can’t deal with it.” Matty couldn’t help to grin and that annoys Ruth more.

He watches her walk away after closing the door with a loud sound.

“Matty!” He calls after her.

But the teen is mad with him now. He’s sure this is not about him so he let her storm upstairs giving her some time and space.

Y/n bumps into him in the hallway between the front and the kitchen.

“Where is Ruth?”

“Hello, baby. Yes, missed you like crazy too.” He said to his wife, joking about her greeting.

Y/n scoffs, taking his face between her hands bringing him closer. Matty chuckles leaning forward to kiss her sweetly. His hands sneaking on her back and ass.

“Hi, handsome.”

“This is better.” He pecks her.

“Where is our baby?” She asks again.

“Upstairs, she’s mad at me.”

“What have you done now?”

Matty protests, hiding his face on her shoulder. “I did nothing, woman! Only be a hot dad.”

“What?”

“She’s mad her friends think I’m fit. Teenagers still find me hot, baby.” Matty is proud of the fact and Y/n laughs about it.

March 9th Spoilers from Radio Times:

You already know what I’m gonna be talking about, so…

1.) On a fundamental level, WE ARE SO BACK. Jan and Teddy stuff!!!! Even if they really needed to handle the Gethin situation over the entire course of the miniseries, I will take what I can get.

2.) But also, they haven’t really had there be a consistent tension or resentment or whatever between Jan and Teddy over Gethin, so the ‘reconciliation’ is a bit like… half the time it feels like they have basically already reconciled except for the times they definitely haven’t?

3.) And, I have to say it, Teddy is going to be homeless?? This is the latest incident of Casualty’s recent ‘fuck it, who cares about building up to significant information anyway?’ approach to writing - an approach that has also brought you such classics like ‘Paige is specialising’ and ‘Max is going to South Sudan’. I can believe it, in this economy, but it doesn’t feel particularly set up at all.

4.) The explosion in the trailer definitely happens in this episode, so that probably relates to the stuff mentioned at the start with Mel and Harry.

You know sometimes you’re more excited for more spoilers than the upcoming episode, it’s one of those weeks for me.

OK First of all I would like to apologize for taking so long to answer (as usual) '^_^ I haven't written any of this before so it's messy yada yada y'know the drill.

I have a bunch of ideas, but I haven't organized them. There's a lot of "holes" to fill here and there!! There's so SO much to digest here

It's long ASF so you're probably gonna get bored soon. You've been warned...

The timeline where Xenia comes from is split into **2-3 endings (?) (I can't make up my mind) her personality varies depending on whatever happens in each one of them. I will try to describe what I have thought on the main one aha--

Let me make clear one thing first, she has 3 sisters 🌜

-Xion

-Celeste (Celes for short)

-Ianthe

But in most, she starts off as a calm yet insecure girl who aspires to improve herself (much like her mother, she has trouble socializing). She had pretty much a normal life along with her 3, no maverick bullshit or anything!! Everything was going pretty well.

Oh, but remember when I said that things would still go wrong?

At some point the 4 little shits get tracked down by some sort of illegal reploid laboratory (which is controlled by yet another character I haven't mentioned, Enyo) who was interested on them due to having X's DNA and get captured shortly after, except for Xion who managed to scape (not without getting badly injured in the process and losing part of her memory, but that's technically ANOTHER story???)

Back to the other 3, they were locked inside a lab along with a bunch of other reploids to be experimented on and/or thoroughly investigated.

After being locked in for several weeks they get out together. They have no fucking idea where they are and they have no one to ask for help.

The story is basically about the three girls trying to survive in the streets of a shady town and unintentionally getting in trouble.

Xenia is pretty much the leader of the group, she legit was forced to grow up (? Celes is the intelligent one and Ianthe provides moral support (she's the youngest! She's just a little girl, she's trying her best)

I know this ask ain't about her lemme tell ya, she's an absolute sunshine compared to everyone (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠) Uh... More like, she was. She got shot until she died the same guys who captured them earlier, like I said they are from an ILLEGAL organization so they tried to kill them all in order to avoid getting shut, but only Ianthe was successfully murdered.

**In all endings, the 2 remaining girls get to reunite with their parents- as for Xion... Like I said, that's another story 😭 I can make a post about her sometime, but she's alive. For now.

Once they were old enough to stand up for themselves, each one took different paths; Celes works as a navigator and Xenia, still consumed by an overwhelming feeling of guilt over not being able to save her other 2 sisters, decided to work as a... (Un)profesional hunter. She would have chosen something more legal, but the truth is that she doesn't consider the law and its punishments effective enough. Overall, she's calm but when it comes to crime and its perpetrators she won't show any mercy.

Now for the relationships part;;

All of them had a pretty good bond!! The girls weren't really troublesome, X and Mel have always been worried about them (maybe they're a little bit overprotective but ssshhh) UNTIL they got older. Celes was able to recover a little bit more easily and maintain contact with her parents (she's more composed and mature, despite being younger than her sis) Xenia is still going through that process, but she tries really REALLY hard to hide it; even though she really loves them she kind of ended up isolating herself in GENERAL and unintentionally became slightly more distant.

But as I said, that doesn't mean she doesn't like her family any less! If you hurt them, you're literally gonna get your ass beat in mere seconds

X and Mel still have an immense fondness for her but I'd be lying if I said they weren't slightly disappointed in her somewhat violent methods to resolve things.

Btw, I saw your reblog and the tags you added, Xenia herself took the decision to upgrade herself to be absurdly taller!!! She did it because it makes her look cooler makes her slightly more intimidating.

...Unconsciously, she has associated tallness with fear, since her captor (Enyo) was characterized for being tall as well (around 190-205cm, I don't remember lmao)
