mentioned this in the tags of a post a bit ago but like. the shipping phenomenon with chase davenport in like the lr fandom space is truly insane to me. this guy is originally from a family-oriented show. every single main character is related to him. and it's a better show than lref too! like in every way! and then the SECOND he gets put next to another random male character you all latch onto that and COMPLETELY forget everything that makes chase interesting. i could become violent.
#and then all the fics have to be in lref too just so him and kaz can be together#which generally means ADAM AND LEO ARE JUST FUCKING GONE#not to mention that ONCE AGAIN. LAB RATS IS A MUCH BETTER SHOW!#god#aylo talks#mine#lab rats#chase davenport#lab rats: elite force#lref#lr#lab rats disney xd

Yandere alphabet for Moira Overwatch please if that's OK? OwO
Sure! I don't mind! Using a GIF from Tumblr again!
Yandere Alphabet - Moira O'Deorain
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Sadism, Human experimentation, Kidnapping implied, Isolation, Possessive behavior, Jealousy, Lack of empathy (Moira), Drugging implied, Marking mention, Hickeys/Hickies implied, Violence, Murder mention, Manipulation, Forced relationship.
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
Moira is rather sadistic, even when it comes to her darling. Her affection is often a method of experimentation in many ways. She'll poke and prod at you all while praising you and kissing you, telling you that you're her little experiment.
Her affection and obsession is intense. She isn't usually very gentle and makes it clear you're hers. She may treat you like an experiment at times, but she rewards you after whatever you go through.
Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
When it comes to Moira she can get as messy as she wants. Although⊠Why kill those who bother you when you can just experiment with them?
She'll be quite sadistic with those who cross you and her. With you she's gentle⊠with anyone else?
Well⊠they aren't let off so easily.
Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?
Moira is sometimes mocking but it isn't very often with you. She has a soft spot for you, even during small experiments she conducts on you. Speaking of whichâŠ
When Moira takes you in she both treats you as a lover and an experiment. She doesn't do anything too damaging to you as she cares. Although if she knows a procedure will benefit you or her, she'll do it to you.Â
Being her darling is an odd experience as you aren't sure if you are her lover or a lab rat.
Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darlingâs will?
Most likely.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
Moira isn't a very vulnerable yandere, in fact she lacks empathy at times. She's vulnerable in the sense of if someone took you she'd do anything to have you back. Yet in terms of opening up to you, not really her thing.
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
It could both irritate and excite her. Moira has a sadistic personality at times so seeing you fight just gives her a new game to play. On the other hand⊠she would prefer an obedient darling that listens to her every command.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
Sometimes it's all a sadistic game to her, sometimes it isn't.
Hell: What would be their darlingâs worst experience with them?
When it comes to Moira a lot of experiences with her can be hell. I'd have to say whenever she experiments with you. There's some pain yet she always shushes you in an attempt to comfort.
She's simply trying to help you⊠don't you believe her?
She's lying and you know it.
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
Moira plans to have you and her live in a better world. To make that happen she must expand her knowledge. At least⊠that's what she tells you as she pricks at your skin, making your vision woozy as she coos over you.
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
Moira's jealousy manifests as irritation. She appears to be annoyed when there's other people around you. Especially if she's already claimed you as hers through her experiments.
She'd try to cope before targeting the person she's upset about. Afterwards⊠she gets a new experiment to play around with.
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
Moira is mostly stoic and often brushes things off. However, with you she shows preference that others can sense. Why else does she hover around you?
Plus⊠they can tell she's taken you as hers. How? There's signs of experimentation⊠along with marks on your skin made by her lips.
Moira is possessive. She toys with her darling and marks them as hers. She acts cold with others⊠but you?
Well⊠the scientist just can't help but indulge.
Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
She starts things slow, building your trust like luring a new rabbit to research. The attraction to you most likely started first⊠which made her want to experiment on you. After all⊠you make her feel all strange.
Moira manipulates you into trusting her right up until she has her claws on you. Like a huntress who finally caught her game⊠she steals you away. Moira knows how to use her wordsâŠ
Maybe you should've listened to the warnings others gave you about her?
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
Not really.
Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
Harsher experimentation, maybe restraints. She doesn't want to have to hurt you⊠yet if you keep fighting⊠she might as well get some more results.
She tries to limit punishment though, wouldn't to lose her most precious rabbit, right?
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?
Most likely a lot of them.
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
She can be patient⊠but she has her limits.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
She probably will⊠but she has a hard time feeling the same spark with anyone else.
You were just so⊠special. She misses it. Odd for her to say⊠but you really did mean a lot to her.
Perhaps she can⊠bring you back? That's possible⊠right? She'll have to tryâŠ.
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
No and most likely not.
Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
Just her nature in general along with curiosity.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
She'll wait it out, she isn't the best with comfort. When you calm down she'll try conversation. She doesn't jump to comfort you like a lot of other yanderes, but she does care somewhat.
Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?
Experimentation⊠that just about covers it.
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
Hard to say/None I can think of.
Witâs end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
Yes.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?
Not a worship yandere but would probably kill to keep you.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
She doesn't snap, everything is deliberately planned.
Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?
Yes.

I've done a Backstory!Post! for the first of my currently mentioned platonic yandere favorites... now I think it is time for the next one. To begin with, we had how Logan Howlett/Wolverine met his bby... so that means Victor Creed/Sabretooth is next! Let's begin this second Backstory!Post:
âą Victor has not had a pretty life. Abused by his father, seen as a freak, hurt and cursed and hated, it wasn't a hard choice for him to decide to become the monster everyone expected him to be. It served them right. Everyone was the same, cowards and pigs, the lot of 'em. And if one was to survive, you had to be the meanest, the strongest, of the lot. He could count on his hand how many people he actually had an interest in.
âą His bby is likely someone who surprises him. They are something unexpected, something different than the usual people he deals with. Maybe they are someone with a powerful mutation, or someone who happened to gain the upper hand on him. Maybe they have been dealt a similar hand to him, being hurt to such a degree that it leaves lasting wounds on their psyche... Either way, this bby isn't scared of him. For some reason, they don't see him as someone to revile or hate... if anything, they might be neutral, or even cordial, with him. For once, someone just treats him like a person.
âą Their first meeting could be anywhere, really. Perhaps they meet on opposite ends of a fight... perhaps they are in the same group for the time being... for this scenario, I think they would both be held captive by someone. A scientist who wants to study different mutants and their abilities, and in turn make them into weapons, pawns, their own personal soldiers. This person is cruel and manipulative, playing their captives against each other, in an attempt to leave them unwilling to unite against them. Yet for the bby... they don't crack...
âą And for the life of him, Victor can't figure out how they did it... how his bby stayed themself, unbroken and untamed... but no matter how they did it, he's not complaining... this is their origin story of meeting, after all, and of course his bby would turn out to be as unbreakable as he is...
âą Of course it's his luck to get stuck in this situation. Another freak-of-the-week mad scientist wantin' to try their hand at mutant experimentation. Yep. Just his freakin' luck. And this one... this one is one f*cked up son uv a gun...
âą You're not having a great time. Some nut-case is capturing and testing mutants... and you're one of the (un)lucky souls who got caught. Your mutation can only do so much, and this complete psycho has prepared for almost every ability there could be. All sorts of drugs, plenty of torture devices, not to mention the actual power-negating stuff... and this freak doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon. They want to break you, to squash you into nothing and program you and every other mutant here into their personal toys...
âą And you happen to have gotten on their nerve this time. It's not like this is the first time you've tried... but this is the first time they actually showed any outward signs of anger. They didn't take too well to you calling their work meaningless, a disgrace to science... so it seems they've finally decided to do something about you... So here you are, being dragged into a room and locked inside until they see fit to "test you" again... but... the thing is... you're not alone in there...
âą Great... looks like they brought 'im some fresh meat... Victor groans a little as he gets up. Chains hold him to the floor, shackled to a thick metal cuff around each of his wrists. D*mn it... he can't even leave his side of this prison. And he takes a good look at what the lab rats brought 'im... and he isn't very impressed. It's a kid, that much he can tell... one who looks roughed up quite a bit... heh. Seems like someone made the doc mad.
âą "Heh. Looks like we're gunna be stuck here fer a while, huh, whelp? Why don't'cha come closer, so we can get better acquainted?" He watches them, as they take in their new surroundings. The fresh meat winces as they move, but, they do approach him... yet they stay just out of reach... and then ask if he's okay...
âą What? Is the whelp drugged er somethin'? They seem to realize what they just asked, and rub at their neck, looking sheepish. They point out that it's a stupid question, but that they are concerned. About him. "Uh, whelp. Ya realize ya should be more worried 'bout yerself, right? The doc must be rather p*ssed with ya ta throw ya in here with me." He lets out a cackle, then regrets it almost immediately when his chest aches with every breath. D*mn that f*cking *sshole doctor, professor, whatever the h*ll they claim to be! The whelp ain't the only one who earned the doc's wrath... whatever the loon gave him, it inhibits his healin' ability...
âą "I guess the doc doesn't really like us, eh? This must be "special time-out" fer us, huh, fresh meat?" He sighs, his ribs aching with the motion. The kid hasn't stopped looking at him, but... it's not with fear, or contempt... if anything... they actually look worried fer 'im... They shuffle their feet uneasily, but he can't smell fear on them. None in the least. Blood, sure. Sweat, yep. But not a trace of panic or hate. Huh.
âą You watch your cell-mate with concern. He's a giant. Chains hold him back, limiting his movement and leaving him trapped to the back of the cold room. Dark, dried blood covers him, and you can see wounds where the cuffs rubbed against his wrists. Not to mention the bruises coloring patches of his skin splotches of greenish-tinged black. He looks dangerous, deadly... but you stay near, asking if he wants something to eat...
âą "Ya realize there ain't any food here, don't'cha, fresh meat? Unless yer offerin' ta be a sacrifice," he huffs out. But you just chuckle, and produce something hidden within the fold of your sleeve... it's a squashed protein bar... but... it's food...
âą You ask the man if he doesn't mind that this is what you were able to hide on you. Then promptly explain that it won't taste very well, but it should sate some of his hunger. That he needs it just as much as you or anyone else here needs it. You notice the shackles restrict his arms to the point he can't lift them to his face... possibly as a method to force him to rely on the scientist and their minions for everything... you ask if he's still hungry, and that you're going to have to hold it for him while he eats, if he wants it...
âą "'Kay, then. I promise, I won't bite ya. Scout's honor. Now, can ya come over here? I'm starvin'." He waits patiently as you approach him, bringing the much-needed food with you. You open it, holding it up for him to eat, still no signs of panic or fear. He can't help but chuckle a little at that. Looks like ta him, you're one tough little whelp. Maybe you're worth keepin' 'round...
âą He takes a bite from the offered food, and you give him a soft, tired smile...
âą "Not bad... hmm... thanks, whelp. I think we're gunna get along just fine..." With that, he devours what's left of the food... this moment is how you met Victor... and he never would've guessed that he'd end up with someone like you as his bby...

formally requesting karl and joyce hcs once again đ
though if you want things to be more specific,,,, maybe Thoughts about joyce's relationship with ein and tesla? or with karl in the AU for extra emotional damage
Writing this before I start writing the long paragraphs I have planned, so I'll update on my final 'what have I done' total soon.
To start off strong let's talk about Karl and Welt in the Main universe!
This is petty revenge for you reminding me of how hellish this game was last night Literally just a few minutes ago. </3 Don't worry, though. It's not too mind destroying. Yet.
Soon after Welt takes an L and 300,001 inhabitant of the HoR core I genuinely believe that Karl came looking for him. K
Not only because he was a new inhabitant of the core and might've been confused as to what was even happening, but because he wanted to meet him and thank him.
This'll sound weird, but hear me out. I assume Karl was aware of how much influence he had on Welt, and I assume he also knew what was happening outside to a certain degree. Because of his pure dad energy once Welt arrived he made himself known to him.
His reaction depends on whether or not he knew who Karl was (I don't remember if Einstein ever mentioned his name to him, idk), but once he realized I think he'd be terrified at first that he was there to beat his ass (as for why he'd be terrified, imagine your friends dead dad showing up as soon as you die. It isn't particularly comforting). Obviously, that's not the case, and instead Karl just tells him how proud he is of him.
He'd consider him his son, and would tell him that he was proud of everything he did, and how he managed to keep moving and how he never lost sight of his humanity. Would also say thank you for protecting everyone, and making sure that his daughter (Ein), her friend (Tes), and Emma were okay.
I feel like they'd talk with each other for awhile, and Welt would tell Karl about how far Einstein's come since he wasn't able to witness it for himself. He'd probably try to apologize for the eruption, but Karl wouldn't let him because he never blamed him. He views him as yet another innocent victim of the disaster, and never held anything against him. He'd pull out his psychology skills to try to help him realize that none of this was his fault, and that he couldn't have done anything to prevent it. He'd remind him that he's still a person no matter what his origins were. Even if he wasn't a human in the normal sense, he still had more compassion for others than most humans. He still fought to protect humanity despite their cruelty towards him, and Karl believes that he's done more than enough to prove himself to everyone.
Karl would basically become his dad at that point and would keep him company, and would probably introduce him to the other people within the core. I don't know. I just think that it'd be really sweet that even if Welt's life wasn't the best, the happiness he felt in the last few days of his short life continued beyond the grave. I want them to have their father son relationship even if they aren't technically alive anymore.
They'd bond over how much of a menace Einstein is and how she tormented them both at any chance she got. Though Karl would be terrified to learn that she's not still as bratty as ever, but that now she has an accomplice who's just as bad and that they actively make each other worse. Though he just loses his sanity upon hearing that not only do they make everyone's lives a living hell, they're also annoyingly gay and make everyone else suffer through it (He's very proud of her but is terrified. He already knows he'll lose his sanity once they're reunited again.)
Along with this I like to believe that Karl was with Welt all along. During his time as a lab rat I think he'd be there to comfort him and trying to make him feel better and to not give up. That's probably another reason that Welt was influenced by him the most due to him essentially being his 'inner voice' in a sense. I just think Karl would love him and consider him his son and be proud to say it. Living up to the Gustav name.
Also like to believe that Karl gave Welt the Gustav name, but he still kept Joyce in his name because he didn't want to lose the last remaining thing he had from Tesla. He either made it his middle name, or kept it has his last name and just has two last names.
He probably comforts Welt whenever he starts to miss Tesla and Einstein, and essentially gives him the therapy he desperately needed. He refuses to let him ever think that either of them hated him or blamed him for anything.
Anyways now for insanity and less depressing things.
I'll do what I did last time and section them these off based off of his relationships with Tesla and Einstein and then I'll do the entire trio because it'll be hellish otherwise.
Starting off with the besties who hate each other and want to throw each other off a roof but secretly care about each other more than anything and see each other as siblings but still want to kill each other.
Where do I even begin with these two.. They're terrible but I love them.
Starting off with a basic / kinda sad thing, they probably both understand each other on a basic level. Of course not completely, but they worry for each other. What I mean by this is mostly just because they both are clearly uh.. A bit.. Questionable mentally..
Tesla was worried about him when he first arrived (before she started threatening him over Einstein but hey a girls gotta have priorities ig.) Even at the end she was still worried about him and didn't want to see him hurting or in danger.
I feel like they'd silently help each other in a sense. Tesla silently forcing Welt to realize that he's cared about now and that he's not going to be hurt anymore (unless it's by her own hands). I've mentioned it before, but I feel like Tesla genuinely Does Care about him. She just doesn't like people getting close to her and she hates men just inherently doesn't trust people. Plus she afraid that she'd get sidelined by Einstein and pay more attention to him because she's a disaster but hey.
I like to think that even though it isn't shown much in the vn, I think that they hung out together often. I like to think she dragged him around often just to force him to see the light of day whenever Einstein was too busy ignoring both of them. I like to think that she also taught him a few sciencey-things and had him help her occasionally while working.
Welt's also Teslas rambling buddy. AKA he stays up to make sure she gets home alive at one in the morning when she's drunk and just listens to her ramble on and on when Einsteins asleep (which is always). Because of this rambling sessions he has learned the history of several different civilizations, philosophies, paintings / art works, weird space facts, alchemy things, and unfortunately enough for him, probably just how gay she is for her lab partner. Pray for him he just wants to read in peace. He's losing his sanity.
There's probably been a few times where she's just come home and started rambling on and on about how much she cares for the both of them and just threatens him until he says that he knows how much they care about him.
I think it'd be cute if they both secretly learn about the others interests in an attempt to be able to talk to each other about it even if they themselves are not interested. They're both questioning how the other just so happens to know so much about their interest but neither are smart enough to figure out what's really happening. Einstein is aware but she just doesn't say anything because it's funnier to watch them both get annoyed and get mad that they have 'such similar interests' despite the fact they're nothing alike.
I also think that after Tesla gave him his last name that he started reading works made by the author she took it from. I don't know why, I just think he knew the name must've had some sort of meaning to her and wanted to understand. I say this because she could've just made his last name "Dumbfuck" in a different language but she didn't.
This is going to go on the impression of 'Welt doesn't take an L within the first five seconds', but I think that once his birthday hits that she'd rope Einstein and Joachim in to throw him a party since he never got one before. Literally threatening everyone around her to make sure that it's perfect and then proceeds to deny having anything to do with it afterwards.
Also probably uses her salary to secretly buy him books and sneak them into his room without him knowing it.
This being said she still harasses him and bullies him half to death. She will continue her assault counter, and Einstein has a score board in their lab for how many times she's assaulted him.
Maybe she even has an 'assault jar' which is basically a swear jar but for assaults.
This is Einsteins feelings about the whole situation.
Moving on to Welt and Einstein. If you were expecting some sense of normalcy you are in for a surprise. She's just as bad as Tesla and we all know it. Though compared to Tesla and Welts friendship it's more kinda sane. Kinda. This sections probably going to be shorter than the other two just because I haven't really thought about them as much since their friendships explored more in the vn compared to the others. I'll throw a few of my misc. hc's at the end if I remember.
I'm not going to lie I think she was heavily interested in his existence and that's why he became their lab assistant specifically. Also wouldn't be surprised if Planck didn't play a part in getting him there. This is mainly just due to the fact yanno. Karl kinda took an L and Welt was the only remaining survivor. Obviously she wasn't interested in the 'I want to study your existence, lab rat' type of way, but more of a 'wow maybe I can finally figure out what happened and not have to suffer for the rest of my life not knowing what happened.'
Just like Tesla she relentlessly bullies him. This man can not get a break. Though the main difference is that because nobody can read her it's 30x more effective because it can either be a serious insult, or a joke, and you'll never know.
If he hadn't taken an L I think they would've been besties honestly. I know you asked for my hc's but I'm stealing your hc and you can not stop me (/lh). I think that she'd encourage him to get into astrology and probably help him out with it. Probably pull a few strings to help get him into university classes to get his degree so he can sit at the cool kids table (Teslas at the cool kids table just because she's too powerful and doesn't need a silly piece of paper). Also just miiight pull a few strings to get him a job just for the funsies. She's a bit questionable but hey, whatever works works yanno. Gotta do what you have to do sometimes.
Also they 100% just find the most random shit to do just to annoy and confuse Tesla to hell and back. The rock game was only the beginning, they will find the most obscure game or even make one up just for funsies. She will harass both of them equally. Have to keep balance somehow ig.
Now for the trio because dear god whoever thought putting these three together was a good idea just hates humanity.
Chaos trio. They're insane. They bully each other. They drive each other insane. 1/3 is homophobic only against the other two in particular. Gay rights for everyone except them.
Okay so it's hell on earth (/lh). They all get along and they're essentially those three friends who if you didn't know any better would think hated each other. They drag each other along for their shenanigans and support each other no matter what. They're ride or die, basically. Quite literally.
Einstein plays on both teams and will bully and harass them equally with no loyalties. The bullying is different between the two for obvious reasons, but it's bullying and harassment nonetheless.
I like to believe that Tes and Ein took Welt along with them whenever they were leaving to go investigate / study something (Under the assumption he lived for more than five seconds) just so he didn't have to stay alone.
Tesla drags them all along to go outside to spend time with each other under the guise of "I'm bored and want to talk to Lieserl. I guess you can come too" despite the fact she intentionally does it in front of him so she doesn't have to ask him herself and make it look like it's out of obligation.
All three of them basically full on become Joachims older siblings and treat him like he's their little sibling. They will spoil this child without any regrets or remorse. Though Welt's terrified of the other two watching him because they are the last people who should be near a kid.
OH AND Tesla continuously forces the three to take pictures together so that they can make a little photo album to keep.
Also they'd eventually get a cat just because. Hell on earth, truly.
Oh and none of them can cook. Nobody should be allowed near that kitchen yet somehow they are. Three walking disasters of human beings, truly.
I have so many more but I've been writing so long they've just. Escaped my mind and it's driving me insane. I'll remember them eventually and make another post but here's what I have rn

Iâd like to request a body switching scenario with [Satan, Asmo, Beelz, Solomon, Simeon] and an Gender Neutral MC with undisclosed chronic health issues. Like brittle bones that break if you step a little goofy, stress ulcers, sensitivity to light, joint pain, poor stamina, etc. I just want to see the boys go âYou live like this?!â
Satan:
Satan has a habit of collecting rare magical objects. Somehow quite a few of these cause body-switching incidents.
The cursed object causes the two of you to lose consciousness for a few minutes. When he wakes up he is in immediate pain.
His first thought is that the spell must have caused this and you must be in pain too! If he, a demon, is in this much pain it must be excruciating for a human.
He rushes to you or tries to. But falls to his knees in shock as a shooting pain runs through him.
He blinks watering eyes and sees his body stirring on the floor and realizes youâve switched bodies.
You sit up feeling better than youâve felt in years. Wondering if this is ânormalâ or if that cursed object gave you super healing.
Itâs only when you hear your own voice calling your name that you realize you and Satan have switched bodies.
You can see the tears in his(your body's) eyes and know exactly what's happening. Youâve had chronic pain for years. And Satan is sitting in just the right way to send shooting pain up your spine.
âLay down on your back,â you order him. He has just enough control to follow your order and lower your body down slowly.
You can see Satanâs relief on your face as the pain eases slightly. It takes a moment for the worst of the pain to subside and his breath to even out.
Heâs staring at the ceiling when he speaks, voice still a little shaky, âYou live like this?â
You hum out a yes.
âAll- all the time?â he asks, horrified.
âSometimes it's worse than others. If I move or sit in certain ways it gets real bad. But if I avoid those movements itâs bearable.â
Satan turns to you âThis is what you call bearable?!â
You shrug, âThat position is usually pretty safe. So yeah probably.â
He is careful to move your body a little as possible as he shifts to point at a spellbook. âThat book-â
âAre you going to change us back?â you ask.
âI-â he hesitates. Clearly not wanting you to be in pain again.
âLook, Satan itâs not that I donât enjoy being pain-free. But Iâve dealt with it for years now. Iâve learned how to function around it. I had to. You on the other hand are going to be laying on the floor for most of the day if you stay in my body.â
âIâm going to find a way to fix you.â He says firmly as you place the book in his hands.
âPromises, promise,â you sing, preparing yourself to experience the pain in your body again.
âI mean it. As soon as I can move again I am going to find a way to help you. Devildom magic has to be better than human medicine.â
Asmo:
Asmo bought you matching bracelets. âLook Mc, I bought us these bracelets! They are supposed to bring us closer together!â
Well, they did bring you closer together. Just not in the way Asmo intended.
When he clasped the bracelets on, you felt a shiver go down your spine and when you opened your eyes you felt...different. Better. There was no aching pain. For once the dazzling lights of Asmoâs room didnât cause you to wince. That's when you realize youâve switched bodies.
Asmo on the other hand immediately cringed and squeezed his eyes closed, clutching his(your) head.
Asmo groaned pitifully, teary eyes squinting at you âMc, how do you do anything like this??â
He curls up beneath his covers, and you make your way around his room turning off all the lights and closing his curtains. Once the light is gone, Asmo peers out from beneath the covers, âDo you live like this all the time?â
âMostly, yeah.â
âNo wonder your room is so dark. I thought you were just being dramatic.â
You shrug at him, âThe Devildom is better than the human realm. Thereâs no bright sunlight here.â
Once the spell wears off, Asmo keeps the bracelet on both as a reminder of how you live with this chronic illness and as the intended purpose of showing how close the two of you are.
He buys you super dark glasses to try and filter out some of the bright light that bothers you.
and asks Solomon to help him find any magical treatments that might help you.
Beel:
Beel and you switch bodies after eating some of Solomonâs cooking.
Neither of you wants to eat Solomonâs cooking, but you had the misfortune to be the only two people who couldnât find an excuse to get out of it.
Beel doesnât know how it happened, Solomon doesnât know how it happened, you sure as hell donât know how this happened. But here you are with a strange magic âcakeâ in hand, looking at your body from Beelâs eyes.
Your first thought is how strong you feel in Beelâs body. Like you could do anything. The exhaustion and joint pain you normally deal with is gone.
Is this how normal people live? Although you suppose a demon doesnât count as a normal human, so itâs not such a good comparison.
You watch as Beel catches himself on the counter as he adjusts to the symptoms of your illness.
He lowers your body to the ground. Sitting gingerly as the movement causes the joint pain to flare.
âMc, is this how you feel every day?â He is so so concerned about you! How do you function if you feel like this all the time? âWhy havenât you told anyone about this?â
âItâs ok, Beel. Iâve figured out how to deal with it.â
âIt is not ok. Mc, we could have helped you!â
Itâs strange to be lectured by your own voice and body. But Beel does a good job of it. He insists that you have to tell him when your symptoms act up and convinces you to let him speak with Lucifer about trying some magical treatments.
The potion doesnât wear off for several hours. You feel a tad bit guilty about enjoying this when Beel is so obviously suffering, but you canât remember the last time you felt so good. So capable.
Once the spell wears off Beel insists on carrying you around so you aren't as fatigued and to avoid aggravating your joint pain.
Be prepared for trying a string of different potions and spells to treat your illness, under the watchful eyes of Beel and Lucifer.
Solomon:
After hearing about Lucifer and Satanâs body-switching incident Solomon went looking for another cursed book.
Heâd heard some rumor about Satanâs book having a twin and was determined to find it.
And find it he did.
You accidentally touched the book at the same time as him and switched bodies.
Solomon is more intrigued than anything else. âDo you live like this all the time? If so, you do a remarkable job of hiding it.â
He is going to test the limits of your bodyâs capabilities. He wants to know what situations cause pain or discomfort so that you canât pretend to be ok when you arenât.
Youâll have to warn him if he is doing anything that might permanently harm your body.
Unlike some of the others, Solomon doesnât immediately look for a way to switch back.
When the spell wears off Solomon has a near-complete understanding of your condition. He knows what causes pain, what doesnât, and what situations you should absolutely avoid.
âMc, you need to stop pretending you are ok when youâre not. Iâll be here to help you when you need it. And if that help happens to be stopping you from doing foolish things to save face then so be it.â
Solomon keeps a close eye on you from now on. He respects you enough to not tell anyone about your condition if you donât want him to, but he will also come up with the strangest excuses to remove you from activities he knows will aggravate your condition.
If there is magic that can be used to help you Solomon will find it. Just be prepared to feel a little bit like a lab rat while he figures out the perfect spell or potion to help you.
Simeon:
Simeon wants to know what it feels like to be human. He thinks it would give him a greater understanding of humanity.
He mentions this to Solomon, who being the chaos loving wizard he is, makes a potion to allow Simeon to switch bodies with you.
The problem occurs when Solomon 'forgetsâ to tell you both that heâs already put the potion in your tea.
Simeon is shocked. He finds himself in your body. Looking at himself through your eyes. And by god does your body hurt!
âMc, Iâm dreadfully sorry, but I think Solomonâs little joke may have gone wrong. I-everything hurts.â
You blink at Simeon...er Simeon in your body. Mind taking a moment to catch up with the sudden body switch. You feel great. Part of that might be due to being in an angel's body, but mostly it's due to the lack of pain.
âOh, everything's fine on my end. So it must be my chronic pain. Itâs worse today than others.â
âWh-what do you do when itâs bad?â
âUsually I try to distract myself. Or try to take a nap and hope I wake up feeling better. But weâd made plans and I didnât want to cancel soâŠâ
âSo you decided to deal with extra pain for my sake? Oh, Mc. You should have told me you live like this. I can helpâ
âThereâs no point, Simeon. Not a single doctor Iâve been to has found anything wrong with me. I didnât want anyone here to pity me.â
âI am an angel, Mc. Iâm quite sure I can do a bit more than your human doctors.â
You help Simeon to his room where you spend the afternoon watching human world movies to help distract him.
Simeon sleeps fitfully next to you and as you drift off you wonder if that is how you always look when you let your guard down enough to show your pain.
When the potion wears off you are both asleep, curled up next to each other.
When you wake up you are back in your own body. Simeon is sitting next to you slipping a charmed bracelet onto your wrist. âThis is from the Celestial realm. It should help keep your pain at a more manageable level until I can find a more permanent solution.â

Chosen last: part two
Rottmnt x reader
Summary: reader worries that their new friends are becoming exactly like their old ones, unaware that theyâre ditching them to prepare a surprise
Platonic, of course!
Part one: https://chiliiscereal.tumblr.com/post/650808822043115520/chosen-last
âââ
âIâm SOOOoO gonna beat you, Mikey!â You gloated, smashing your fingers over the remote buttons and narrowing your eyes at the tv.
âHa! In your dreams, baby!â He responded gleefully. He leaned forward and concentrated harder than youâd ever seen him.
It was your annual video game competition. Once a month you and the turtles (and April of course) have one day dedicated to seeing who was the video game champ.
Mikey won last month, Donnie won the month before, Leo won the three months before that, and Raph came close but April defeated him.
You were absolutely determined to win this month.
Surprisingly, Leo was on the couch behind you and rooting for you.
âGo y/n! You got this!â He shouted when your video game car passed Mikeys. He even jumped out of his seat, nearly spilling the popcorn.
âWhy are you rooting for y/n??â Mikey accused lividly. âIâm your brother!!â
âY/n hasnât won a single competition! Besides, you won last month!â Leo smirked, sitting back down. âItâs hilarious to see you this worked up.â
âOh you and Dr. Delicate touch are gonna have a looooong talk later.â You snorted.
âHell yeah he is!â Mikey growled.
Before you could say anything else, Raph entered the room.
âHey, guys, sorry to cut things short but... Dad needs us to clean!â He blurted out quickly. âSorry y/n but you should probably go.â
You waved him off, shutting the tv off. âOh, I can stay and help!â
âNo! I mean, itâll just be boring trust me.â He intervened and took the remote from you hurriedly. He even grabbed your arm and pulled you off the floor. âYou donât want to help clean! Itâs fine!â
âHold on, we have to clean?â Leo groaned. âWe cleaned last month!â
âYeah, why arenât we fighting Splinter on this?â Mikey stood in Raphs way when he tried to push you out of the room.
You wriggled out of the red masked turtles grasp. âCome on! Donât you want someone to help you debate this with Splinter!â
You were on the rats good side ever since you bought him the exclusive Lou Jitsu movie box. All the turtles knew this.
Why didnât they want you on their side?
A small part of you whispered past insecurities but you brushed it away.
Raph sighed, clearly nervous. âGuys we gotta do... the thing. We gotta clean the thing!â He looked at them as if searching for help.
âWhat thing?â Leo narrowed his eyes.
âThe THING. You know?â Raph cleared his throat. âYou donât want to know, y/n. Itâs super gross.â
You placed your hands on your hips, suspicious.
âYou know... the thing April mentioned a while ago?â Raph tried again, making some loose gestures that you couldnât really understand.
Somehow, though, Mikey and Leo caught on.
âOhhhh, the thing!â Mikey exclaimed and immediately began clearing away the snack mess that had been left from the video games.
Leo joined him. âYeah! Dude, you donât wanna be here to clean the thing.â He shoveled as much garbage in his arms as he could. âYou can just head for the door and come back later! You know, when we donât have to clean?â
Hesitantly, you grabbed your bag. âOkay..?â
What was this thing they had to clean?
Did they really think it would gross you out?
And why did it take them so long to catch on?
Whatever. It was probably more shenanigans. It didnât mean anything.
âAlright then,â you stepped away from them slowly, âIâll just head out.â
The turtles stood in their spots stiffly and waved goodbye.
You rounded the corner to walk over to the ladder, unsure of what to think.
They didnât normally act like this...
But maybe Splinter just really wanted them to clean?
But why werenât you allowed to know what the Thing was?
And April apparently already knew about it...
Maybe it was just that you were still relatively new to the friend group.
Yeah, that made sense.
Before you could touch the ladder you heard voices.
Two voices.
Coming from Donnieâs lab.
Well, might as well go say goodbye to Donnie right?
You shouldered youâre bag and headed over, standing in the doorway and knocking on the wall so heâd know you were there.
He and April were both sitting together looking at a computer.
You didnât even know April was there! Well, she might get kicked out for cleaning day to. Maybe you could both do something together!
The duo looked up, panicked, and Donnie quickly shut the computer off. âAh! Y/n! I didnât know you were here!â
You frowned, a little hurt. âToday was the video game competition? I was here just like the last... five months?â
April gave you a too wide grin and shut the laptop. âWell! What... uh... what brings you to the lab?â
You shifted uncomfortably. âRaph and the others kicked me out cause they need to clean a Thing? They said it was really gross, and I came in to say bye to Donnie and maybe see if you wanted to go get ice cream or something?â
April turned to Donnie, wide eyed. âWell... I... I canât exactly... I have a...â
âShe has to help clean the Thing as well!â Donnie filled in for her.
Now you were really confused. âBut... Raph said it was too gross for anyone other than family.â
âItâs fine!â April waved you off. âBut letâs get ice cream later! Okay?â
You gave them a small wave and turned around. âYeah... okay.â
âââ-
That Saturday you found yourself walking down the street with one of your old friends.
She wanted to get frozen yogurt and had a coupon for a âbuy one get one freeâ.
Normally youâd have said no. But the turtles AND April denied you every time you asked if you could hang out!
So you said yes.
Just like old times.
âIâm SO sure Jake likes me.â She grinned to herself as she typed away on her phone. âHope you donât mind but heâs gonna be at the frozen yogurt shop with us!â
âOh.â You mumbled. âI thought itâd just be you and me.â
âItâs fine!â She waved you off. âHeâs nice! Heâs not like the last guy... uh... whatâs his name?â
âThe guy who told me I was a prude or the guy who told me I looked better with makeup?â You couldnât help but spit out bitterly.
âThe first one.â She eyed you strangely. âAnd whatâs with you today? Youâre more pessimistic than usual.â
âThat one was Brian. And Iâm fine.â
She turned back to her phone, the two of you weaving through the new York crowd.
Youâd rather be with the...
The turtles?
You stopped, hearing familiar voices coming from the alley.
âHow could you forget!â
âYou think I just meant to?!â
âMaybe!â
âGuys, shut up, itâs not a big deal, okay? Thereâs still time to figure this out.â
âEasy for you to say! Youâre just gonna make up another lame excuse and leave!â
âI will not!â
âCanât we just wait for April in peace?â
âNo, because RAPH forgot about-!â
You cleared your throat and entered the alley.
The boys were huddled together, arguing. Quickly they jumped apart and tried their best to act normal.
âHeyyyyy, y/n!â Leo gave you awkward finger guns. âDidnât expect to see you here!â
Mikey looked like he was trying to say something but couldnât find the words.
You were suddenly less excited to see them. âHeyâ didnât expect to see you guys either!â You bit the inside of your cheek nervously. âWhatâre you... whatâre you doing here? I thought you were too busy to hang out?â
âWe are!â Donnie nodded. âVery busy.â
âYeah and dad grounded us from hanging out with people so-.â Raph added, only for his plan to fall through when April showed up from behind them.
âGuys! I got the-!â She stopped, spotting you. Whatever was in her hands she hid it purposely behind her back so you couldnât see it. âY/n!â
You fixed them with a small glare. âToo busy to hang out?â
You didnât want to sound clingy or desperate, but now it just felt like they were going out of their way to avoid you.
âWell, you know, April doesnât count! Sheâs practically family!â Raph chuckled.
That was enough for you to make a decision.
âWell, Iâm kind of with a friend right now! Iâll... Iâll just talk to you guys later.â
You backed out of the alley, surprised to find yourself looking forward to meeting the new boy your friend was chasing instead of seeing whatever goofiness the turtles were up to.
Youâd survived without them before.
Surely you could survive until whatever this was passed.
âââ-
âHey girl your birthdayâs coming up!â Your friend mentioned at the lunch table the next day. âIâm Definetely taking you bowling! Weâll bring all the girls, maybe even Jake!â
You didnât even like bowling.
You didnât even like Jake!
He was just like all the other boys sheâd dated.
But it was better than just sitting at home and waiting for the boys to explain their recent behavior.
âThat sounds great.â You muttered, stirring your salad half heartedly. âCanât wait.â
You went back to sitting with your old group since this whole thing started.
You didnât have anyone else to sit with! April would disappear during her lunch hour and say she just was going out to get lunch, but she never did that! Ever!
A part of you believed that maybe they finally realized you werenât worth being friends with.
Maybe you were always meant to be the hermit.
âYou excited?â One of your friends asked. âI am! Iâm gonna invite Jaxon to go with me and Iâll get dressed up-!â
You tuned them out immediately.
What was the point.
They were talking about it like it was their party.
Not yours.
Just like every other year.
âââ-
Another day went by.
You found yourself with those same girls again.
They were planning the âbowling birthday partyâ and coordinating rides. But, of course, there was no room for you to carpool with them.
âHey, y/n!â April shouted across the lunch room.
You debated about ignoring her, and then debated about just getting it over with.
Ignoring her seemed easier.
âOâNeil, what do you want.â One of your friends asked almost boredly.
Crap, April was right behind you.
âI just wanted to talk to y/n!â
You didnât bother turning around.
âI know you heard me. Why arenât you sitting at our table?â
You clenched youâre fists under the table. âYou havenât been here, April. Besides I have other friends.â You finally turned to face her.
She narrowed her eyes.
But, not from anger.
âWell... Iâm back now!â She grinned, placing her hand on your shoulder. âAlso, Mikey wanted to know if you wanted to have ice cream with the guys later tonight?â
One of your friends burst out laughing before you could even answer. âThis Mikey guy is real?â
Another one snorted. âWhoâd have known?â
You tried to laugh it off.
You really did.
But that proved harder than you thought.
April placed her hands on her hips. âExcuse me? What do you mean by âwhoâd have knownâ?â
âYou know what y/nâs like!â The friend beside you waved her off. âShe hardly talks to anyone! Heâd probably think sheâs boring.â She turned to you. âRight?â She elbowed your side when you said nothing, as if she were joking with you.
You straitened your lips into a thin line and nodded. âYeah... right.â
âSo, when we go bowling for your birthday, do you think Jake will like my blue dress or my-?â
April slammed her hands on the table. âHold on, you think this is all some game?â
Your friend shrugged. âWeâre just playing with her! She knows itâs a joke!â
âWas it? Cause I couldnât tell!â April huffed.
âApril, drop it.â You mumbled. âItâs fine.â
âNo, itâs not!â She nearly yelled. âYou guys havenât been a good friend to her at all! You forgot her birthday present last year and you make her walk everywhere-!â
You stood up from your seat. âI said stop, okay?â
Surprisingly, she did.
âItâs fine. Just leave it alone.â You walked over to the trash can and dumped in your long forgotten food.
She frowned. âFine, if you donât want me to do this, I wonât.â She walked next to you, casting a look over her shoulder at your table. âEven though Iâm right.â
You said nothing.
What could you say?
âHey, I... I gotta go talk to the guys.â April bit her lip and glanced at the door. âCan you possibly come to the lair? Tonight? Around... five?â
You set your tray back in the pile with all the other dirty ones. âYeah, I can try.â
âGreat thanks!â
April was out of there faster than you could say âhot soupâ.
ââââ
Wouldnât you know it, five oâclock rolled around.
You didnât want to go.
You really didnât.
Well, you did, but you honestly thought this was going to be them ditching you.
All the signs were there.
Instead of over thinking you decided to just go. Donât even think about it.
You arrived at the lair quietly, taking your time stepping down the ladder.
All the lights in the kitchen were off.
All the lights in their skating room was off.
By now, it just felt like this was one big joke. Did you misinterpret April? Did the guys even know you were down here? Ugh what if they were doing this just to laugh at you?
Finally, you got to their living room.
You clicked the light on.
âSURPRISE!!â
You nearly jumped out of your skin when the four boys, one girl, and one rat dad jumped out.
Confetti?
Cake?
Even a happy birthday banner?
Decorations with your favorite colors?
Your favorite movie ready and waiting to be played in the tv?
âHa! Look! Y/nâs speechless!â Leo chortled.
âHappy early birthday, dear friend!â Donnie waved to showcase the room. âApril told us your friends were having a bowling party on the actual day, and that you probably needed a little something fun, so here we are!â
âWe got all your favorite things, facts checked by the master!â Raph patted Aprilâs back.
âWe even got your favorite video game from the store!â Mikey bounced over to the tv and picked up the disc case.
âWe have cake, baked by me, and your favorite sodas!â Splinter gave you a toothy rat grin.
âAnd as for the gifts,â Raph chuckled guiltily, âyou kind of caught us trying to get them at the store! April told us it was coming up but we forgot and had to rush to get things ready.â
You...
You honestly didnât know what to say...
You didnât have any words!
No one had ever done this for you before.
No one.
Not even the friends that youâd known for years.
A small tear slipped out against your will as you brought your hands to cover your mouth.
âHey, whatâs the problem? Youâre supposed to be happy!â Leo dropped his party hat and rushed over, brothers behind him.
You wrapped them up in the biggest hug you could give them. âThank you so so so much! I... no one has ever done anything like this for me!â
The family gladly returned the gesture.
âAh, so theyâre happy tears. Excellent.â Donnie nodded to himself. âYou are happy with this, right?â
You released them and stepped back. âDefinitely happy tears.â
April draped her arm over your shoulder. âWell then, what are you waiting for! Letâs get started!!â
That night was probably one of the best nights of your life.
For once, you werenât chosen last.
You werenât the extra.
You werenât the plus one.
You werenât taken for granted.
Let me know if you have any ideas for a part three! Possibly one where the turtles find out about the readers friends? đ

Identity Crisis - Chapter 22 - Welcome to Wakanda (PREVIEW)
Exiting the lavatories of the Quinjet, and stumbling on his way out, Tony cracked his neck from one side to the next. The mechanics of his armor made a similar noise of their own. Though much louder, and far more acoustical.
âNo better way to find out youâve packed on a few pounds than to squeeze into some outdated alloy,â Tony chimed back, though not necessarily at a volume the men upfront could hear.
His voice was kept far lighter than the mood that encompassed them. Nearly erroneous to the stress-induced air that filled the aircraft.
There was no questioning why he was putting on a show. And who it was for.
âMark 43 probably wasnât the best pick for our grab-and-go escapade.â Tony flexed his fingers and the red armor encasing it, making sure each digit bent and stretched properly. âLooks like Iâm gunna have to cut back on aunt hotties cooking, spiderling.â
Half-laying, half-sitting on an upright cot tucked in the back corner of the Quinjet, Peter looked Tony up and down. His brows knitted together as Tony approached him, and he struggled to sit up for a better look.
He wasnât alone. Bruce gave Tony a once-over as well before returning to the machines at Peterâs makeshift bed-side.
âOr you can, you know...accept that this is what your body does when it consumes something other than a diet of coffee and gluten free waffles.â
Tony stopped flexing his fingers. The corner of his mouth lifted up into something that was a cross between amusement and snark.
âYouâre just jealous the italiana bellissima sends me monthly care packages with home-baked, sweet iced cinnamon rolls.â
Bruce frowned, his index finger pressing along buttons of the heart monitor with a deep V creasing into his forehead.
âIs that what youâve been feeding to the rats in the lab?â
Tony glowered.
Bruce smirked.
Meanwhile, Peter hadnât let his eyes off Tony. Not even to blink. He could hear the quiet, almost muted sounds from the IV pumps and heart monitor Bruce tampered with. But all of it was the least of his concerns.
His palms pressed heavily into the narrow, flimsy mattress on the cot. His fingers began to tug at the edges of his blue and yellow Midtown School of Science and Technology sweatshirt â it was the first and quickest thing they could grab from his quarters in the compound. Sam practically tossed it his way, along with a hasty goodbye, as Steve rushed them to the hangar bay.
Peter fought to lift himself upwards again, his elbows beginning to tremble. Nearly sending him flat on his back.
Tony didnât seem to notice how unsettled heâd become.
âOh! Check it out,â he said instead, turning towards Peter. One finger flipped open the panel of his forearm. It popped back like an old CD player, and Tony twisted his arm so Peter could get a better look.âIt took a good amount of fine tuning. Had to make a few net decibel adjustments, not to mention a Quid Pro Quo for some Pym Particles â wonât lie, that one hurt my pride a little bit. But viola! Finally installed that ultrasonic pulse annex.â
For a fleeting second, Peter looked at the open panel of Tonyâs Iron Man armor. The cylinder device, something he couldâve easily mistaken for a small pocket flashlight, sat nestled between a bout of wires and plates. It looked as if it had never been anywhere else in its life; especially not in Peterâs hands â in the gym â where it tossed Sam a good ten feet across the basketball court.
âKicked the can down the road long enough, donât you think?â Tony went on as if Peter wasnât looking at him like heâd morphed into some mystical creature with flying wings that replaced his repulsors, and scales that overtook the shining red and gold metal. âDidnât have time for a test run yet. But hey, I never worked well with dress rehearsals anyway. Not my style. Maybe weâll get the chance to iron out the kinks before heading stateside again. Clear out some rotting trees for the good king and his people. Just you, me, and mother nature under the stars of the middle east. Whacha think?â
The way Peter looked, he didnât have a single thought running through his head.
Until he spoke.
âYouâre in your suit.â

In His Clutches
Following up with what I said in my last post, Iâll try to do some requests for now until my mental health recovers enough to continue the Fox Wedding, and first on my list is a request I received over ko-fi and which got way too delayed because of yantober and christmas time >_< Please enjoy some Overhaul for a change!
Rating: Mature Warning: Yandere, Blackmailing, Forced Submissiveness, Rough Handling, Mentioning of Blood, Threats, Insults, Mentioning of Violence, Also Chisaki how he was before his arc I have no idea how he behaves currently lol Words: 2120
With the way your head met the linoleum floor, you wondered if the fluid you felt on your skin were tears or perhaps a bloody nose. Even if you werenât screaming out loud from the pain yet, the impact hurt like hell, and you had to take deep breaths to deal with the aftermath. No wonder you felt an instant wave of dizziness hit you, but being unable to focus your sight and not have nervosity and your shaken mind puke all over the floor were the least of your problems.
Latest when something long and textured lowered down onto the back of your head, did you even realize what you had been forced to do with your involuntary fall to the ground. Without being able to make out anyone before you right away, you were definitely propped into a bowing position, forehead touching the floor, and when you tried to fight off what was holding you down, you looked entirely like a person pleading for forgiveness. âLook what filth honors us today,â a snarky voice picked up, and you could hear small feet pace before you. âThe audacity that youâd even show here!â
You were about to complain and set the voice straight that you were not here because you wanted to, but rather because youâd been pulled into a car in the middle of the day and feared for your life if you didnât move as you were told. But your head was turned to the side suddenly and ungently, and though you shoot daggers at the people before you, once you got used to the light blinding you, you felt a cold shudder run down your spine as your view cleared.
Penetrating, golden irises looked down from above, a body posture as unfazed and unbothered as only someone who knew they had the upper hand could have. The black mask moved slowly as the man before you spoke, never fully revealing his face, and yet the sight in front of you brought a shiver down your spine. âLike gum under my soles,â he agreed to the first voice, and you finally realized what was pressing you down. Polished, seemingly new, white shoes stepped all over you, applying and taking the pressure as he pleased but never giving you the chance to escape from the floor you were pinned to.
The realization of your failed plans began to slowly but surely manifest throughout your body, a light shivering overcoming you as you lowered your eyes, squeezing them shut. A meager attempt of wishing this was just a bad dream, and perhaps you could wake up in your bed soon and atone for what you had done, leave the country even and never come back.Â
It had been a gamble, really. A half-hearted attempt to break free from the monotonous life you were living and become someone exciting and filthy rich. Everything seemed too easy and safe when it was proposed to you; write the letter and send it off. Gloves, face masks, using the mailbox furthest from your home-- you had remembered EVERYTHING. And yet, you still got caught, so how-?
âHow did we find out?â Kai Chisaki, leader of the yakuza clan known as the Shie Hassaikai and the recipient of your attempted blackmailing, spoke calmly and outwardly unfazed. From his hand hung the white letter you had used, the paper with the demand for money so the truth of their doings wouldnât reach the wrong ears peeking out from it. Yet, when he lifted it up into your view, gloved fingers dug inside between the paper, pulling something out that youâd have never expected to leave behind. It was so small, probably only the rest of it after testing, barely noticeable. Still, you cringed, realizing that they had traced your DNA back to you by something so minor and silly as a hair.Â
âIâm not a criminal,â you mumbled, noticing the distinctive, fearful shiver in your voice.Â
âObviously,â a small, black form, resembling a stuffed animal, huffed, and you were sure if he could have, heâd have rolled his eyes at you.
âThey just told me what to do, and I- I just wanted to make some quick cash. You have to believe me! I donât even know what they know! I only made the letter...â
The following silence was downright disturbing to you, a few seconds turning into the eternity one must feel before getting beheaded back in medieval times. A sigh eventually signaled the end of the nerve-tearing wait as countless ideas of what was going to happen to you now circled through your head. Finally, the foot lifted from your head and flapping the letter in his hand, Chisaki gave the underlings assembled in the room a signal.Â
With groans and clicks of their tongues, bodies all around you began to move and disappear through doors that you couldnât have made out with how perfectly they fitted into the white walls around you. You slowly lifted your torso off the ground again, looking after the last one of them disappear without even so much as a glance back over their shoulder, the doors closing automatically behind them. Suddenly, only the boss and you remained in this interrogation room, even though you were too afraid to dare and look at him. Instead, you focused your eyes on your hands, wondering why heâd want to be alone with you. If what you had always thought criminals did with people that defied them, then disposing of you didnât seem like the work the boss would do. Truly, combining with the confusion you felt, the situation was only growing worse by the second.
âWorking at a bank, inheriting the house of your parents, a pretty penny in your accounts. Sounds like a good life, and yet, youâd still resort to this.â
The envelope containing the letter landed right before you, sliding over the ground up to your knees. Biting your lip, you didnât know what to say, especially when he almost sounded disappointed in you. His patronizing way of pointing out your faults didnât make you feel any better or less scared, as Chisaki still didnât appear to mean you well. Even the truth seemed like such a waste of air if spoken out loud, but what better was there to admit?
â... interesting.â
âLouder,â he demanded, his foot falling back down, this time on your hand, crushing it the longer you refused to speak up.
âI wanted to make it more interesting!â you gasped out loudly, clutching your hand close to your body the moment he let go. âI didnât mean to harm you, Sir! You must believe me!â
This time you did look at him, with the most rueful eyes you could muster even, hoping to achieve anything, literally anything that would change the situation. âHm,â he hummed in contemplation, and you gulped as you felt yourself run out of options. However, you didnât expect him to sigh again before leaning forward, his eyes drilling into you as if he was trying to break you just with his stare. You had heard rumors. Rumors that he wasnât quite sane and overtaken by his ambitions and germaphobia. Nonetheless, his eyes were clear, your reflection in them more fearful than you must have ever been in your whole life.
âYou can beg better than that, I think,â he declared.Â
In your panicked state of mind, you agreed with a short, firm nod, barely inching closer before noticing his eyes narrow reprimandingly, making you stop immediately. âP-Please donât hurt me! Iâd do anything! I was just the deliverer of the message! I know nothing, and if you let me go, Iâll never speak a word about what happened here--â
âThen tell me who made you write this letter.â
His instructions were clear, even though they made your blood freeze. âI donât knowâŠâ you whispered, your body slowly shutting down as you realized it wasnât the answer he wanted to hear. With a disapproving click of his tongue, a gloved hand reached forward, remaining at the corner of your eye for a split second. You ducked away from his touch, squeezing your eyes shut, but before you knew it, it was gone again, as if he decided against doing what he had wanted. Only now, you realized the tears collected in your eyes, not yet spilling but there as you had started to despair over the situation. However, there was no time to ponder about them as Chisaki spoke up again.
âWho,â he calmly said. âTell me, and you are free to go.â
But you didnât. You couldnât. You had followed the instructions given to you online via an online forum you used to chat with strangers. You never actually met anyone personally before becoming a complice. You had always believed it was so much safer, but you were dead wrong. Sniffling, you shook your head, averting your eyes as you saw your chances of survival and escaping dwindling. âI have no ideaâŠâÂ
Not much sound escaped you anymore as you lowered your head, defeated, accepting your due punishment for your stupidity. There was nothing you could have proven or handed to him to make you look any better. âPity,â Chisaki said eerily calm, taking a deep breath before standing up, and you agreed. It was your life thrown away for the aspect of quick money. Naive thinking that youâd actually profit from this when in reality, you had simply been the decoy, or perhaps a lab rat, for the real masterminds behind the plan of blackmailing him.Â
He didnât say anything else as he watched you for a few moments more, rounding the chair he had been sitting on and walking towards one of the doors hidden in the walls, the sound of it opening making you snap back to reality. âW-Wait!â you called after him weakly. âWhatâs going to happen now?â
At first, you thought heâd ignore you, but just before disappearing in the dark corridor beyond this room, Chisaki stopped, being the only one to glance back over his shoulder at you. It was scary how little you could read the man from his eyes alone, no feeling whatsoever shimmering in them.Â
âNow? Youâre going to stay in here until you remember, of course. That or one of my men needs a new punchbag.â
And with that, he was gone, the door closing behind his back and leaving you all alone in the maddening white interrogation room. However, the worst was the ringing of his last few words that kept creeping back in your mind, causing you to cup your ears with your hands, hoping it would silence those thoughts. Thoughts of you - or rather, your blood splattered all across this room if his threat was to come true.Â
Unfortunately for you and your anxiety-induced paranoia, you didnât hear the words spoken beyond your whereabouts in the secret underground of the organization. Not the praising, âYou showed âem boss!â of Mimic as he ran after Kai, having waited dutifully for his superior. âHow do you want to proceed? Should we get rid of them right away?â
Kaiâs answer was hesitant as he thought about it, unusual for him as he always had quick instructions to give to his underlings. âNo,â he eventually said, sternly so. Hand lifting to his neck, he felt the beginning of a new rash prick at his skin, scratching it as he got lost in thought. âThe letterâs pretty good; maybe we can use their skill. And we donât know yet who sent them. Theyâll stay.â
He heard the confused and exasperated huff of disbelieve behind him, but his words were final, even if Mimic disagreed. âIf they become troublesome, Iâll clean them up myself. No one is to bother them.â
And with that, Kai could devote himself to his thoughts, thinking about all the ways he could purify you. Perhaps, things finally wouldnât be so boring anymore as you always complained to him on the forum he met you. If anyone, Kai was sure he could make your life much more interesting by his side, once he got rid of your filthiness that unfortunately still caused rashes to erupt from him, even though being so close to you made him feel so alive.Â
But first, heâd have to delete the profile he used to trick you right into his clutches, as he couldnât risk anyone else finding out about your whereabouts once theyâd notice your disappearance. After all, it would take a lot of time to reform you, but Kai knew you were worth the trouble.
It was dirty work, but with your potential, how could he refuse if it was you?

Grimmjow Headcanons Plus a Few x S/O onesÂ
( pretty sure I read some of these somewhere but I forgot so here's a self indulgent list :)
He died in his early twenties so he's still pretty young mentally but physically as a hollow he's old as hell
He's European
He takes a lot of naps in random places such as the roof of Las Noches
In fact he does a lot of cat like stuff and doesnât realize it
He can purr but rarely and itâs mostly in his sleepÂ
When he became an arrancar he had long hair similar to his release form. It kept getting in the way so he cut it
he doesnât like wearing clothes
Him and his fraccion use to sleep close together in case they were ambushed by other adjuchas and still did even after they became arrancars
They didnât think much of it. Except Di Roy. Heâd say it was weird and âun-masculineâ to which Grim would tell him to shut up and go to sleep after laying an arm or a leg over his face.Â
Di Roy would also occasionally guilt trip him
Grimmjow: Youâre too weak to fight with us.
Di Roy: I wouldnât be if someone didnât bite my face off.Â
Grimm:..........fine! do whatever you want. See if I care.Â
He was actually much closer to them than he let on
Most of the epsada knew it. Especially after Syazel threatened to experiment on them since they were âexpendable.â He did his best to avoid Grimmjow after that.
He only really got to grieve of their deaths when the war against Aizen ended
As much as he genuinely enjoyed fighting Ichigo it was also a distraction from all the pain he tried to burry
Harribel and Nelliel helped him with his grief
They became sort of friends afterwards tho he still tries to fight them both on a weekly basisÂ
Refers to Pantera with female pronounsÂ
One perk of most of Los Nochesâ inhabitants being defeated is the nearly infant amount of space. So he was able to choose his own room
He keeps it surprisingly tidy aside from the nicknacks heâs hoarded from wandering around Hueco Mundo
His bed is full of pillows as a substitute of having a pack to sleep with
When asked heâll say its for comfort
Nelliel: Have you seen my pillow?Â
Grimmjow: * sitting on it in his pillow pile* No.
He steals everyoneâs stuff now and then but mostly Nelâs cuz he likes to mess with her ( insert low key sibling energy )
He talks to animals like people
Grimmjow: I told you to stop crossing the street at the red light idiot!
Cat: Meow
Grimm: Donât talk back to me you little shit!!
Hangs out at Uraharaâs place when heâs in the living world and not trying to fight Ichigo
Likes human food. Especially meat.
Grimmjow: *eating bacon for the first time* hmm tastes like hollows but better
Ichigo:.....Iâm sorry what??!!
Was dared that he couldnât beat Yoruichi at twister. He won five crates of snacks to bring back to Hueco Mundo ( may or may not have shared them cuz â they gave me too much so take it or Iâll throw it outâ )
Says things around the characters in the living world about his terrible experience under Aizenâs rule like itâs normal
Grimmjow: *having another rematch with Ichigo* Damn that almost hurt as much as Tousen slicing my arm off
Ichigo: *pauses the fight* Tousen did WHAT?!!
Becomes friends with Ichigo but wonât admit it.
Somewhat apologizes to Orihime and Rukia for what he did. But not Ichigo cuz heâll do it all again but with less deadly intent.
Learns how to cook
Likes just about any kind of movie/show. He isnât pickyÂ
Would get his 6 tattoo edited to something else if it bothered him
Would freakin die for Kazui!!!Â
Here are the S/O ones:
Is pansexual so gender isnât an issue
Prefers someone who can beat him up but is ok with a human if he feels a very strong connection to them
Doesnât really have a physical type honestlyÂ
Will admire things about their appearance cuz he likes it on them and not in general
Will be in complete denial about his feelings at firstÂ
Like âhollows arenât meant to loveâ and all that ishÂ
Makes up excuses to hangout with them but itâs mostly for his own benefit
â I donât like them. They just have a nice movie collection.â â I donât like them. Theyâre just nice to spar with.â â I donât like them. Theyâre just nice to talk to.â âI donât like them. They just make me feel safe when I sleep next to them.âÂ
Gives them random things heâs found when wondering around Hueco Undoâs desserts like gems and cool sharp bones
Let's them hold and even use Pantera
Starts to unconsciously turn off his hierro when heâs with them. It causes a lot of fliching and embarrassing gasps when they touch him since heâs not use to feeling so much
Did I mention heâs touch starved?
Like a lot.
Holding his hand for too long would literally kill him
Once heâs gotten use to feeling something other than pain from another person he starts to let them touch him more. Like hugs. Lots of hugs.Â
He even lets them rub his release formâs cat ears
Then here come the purrs. Louder than theyâve ever been before! It startles them both. He denied it but the blush gave him away.
Heâll do his best to purr more often since his s/o likes it so much. Such as when theyâre cuddled up for a nap. Though he doesnât really have to try.
Is confused as to why they like to squish his toe beans but lets them do it anyway
Wraps his tail around them in his release form
Will let them braid his long hair
Will also let them paint his claws as well as put makeup on him
Heâs a total pushover ( insert the âplease for meâ meme )
Is very protective of them
â Why are you sad? Do I need to kill someone?â
If asked will follow his s/o when theyâre out at night so they feel safe. Potential muggers? Thrown by an unknown force. Stalker? Punched by an unknown force. Cat callers in a car? Car gets flipped over by an unknown force.
Eventually no one bothers them at all cuz word goes around that theyâre protected by a ghost or something else supernatural.
Theyâre of the few that can call him by a nickname and survive. Grimm, Grimmy, Grimmykins, Grimmy-kun, Kitty, Kitten, Catboy, Stinky cat, Baby boy, Baby boi, Big guy, Tough guy, My Arancar, My love, My one and only, Handsome, Blueberry. Literally anything is fine with him.
But call him My King and heâs done for. Dead. A second time. Deceased all over again. His heart will reform just to burst out of existence.Â
Takes them to Hueco Mundo a few timesÂ
Makes a pillow fort with them with his hoard of pillowsÂ
Will be skeptical as to why they like him and wonât be surprised if they get tired of him and break up
But oh no! Theyâre in it for the long run! Youâre stuck with them Grimmykins:)
Would most likely say I love you without even realizing it till later
Grimm: *blushes* F*CK!!
Harribel: *pauses the meeting* Is there something wrong?
Grimm: I told Y/n that I love them before I left without realizing it! *puts his face in his hands and groans* Iâm so screwed.
Nel: Well itâs about damn time!
Harribel: Congrats Grimmjow
Grimm: *groans and blushes some more*
If he really loves them heâll find a way to weaken his immortality so they can grow old together ( yes itâ sappy but he figures heâll get bored after they long gone )
Might go to Mayuri for help and becomes his lab rat in return. Wonât tell his s/o till itâs done so they wonât try to stop him.
Itâs not fun. Like at all ( insert angsty fit energy here ). But it works and as an added bonus him and his s/o can have kids if theyâd like
A great dad. Incredibly supportive and loving. Mess with them and youâre dead. Or at least scarred for life. No one messes with his cubs. Â
Grimm: Isnât it weird that our kids are best friends?
Ichigo: No. Weâre friends.
Grimm: I tried to kill you.
Ichigo: Who hasnât?
Grimm: Iâll drink to that.
Ichigo: Thatâs a juice box.
Grimm: Have you seen my kids? The last time I wasnât sober they ceroed the roof off and beat up a hollow. Thereâs no way Iâm missing that again.

4 with john wick and a borrower?
hey!! send some of these!!
4. â what can i do to get you to trust me? â
john wick | john wick & oxiel serrat ( oc )
1,018 words
mentions of violence, blood, and some strong language
reblogs > likes!! enjoy!!
Careful. Hands up. The little being meets Johnâs eyes with a fiery glare. It burns almost hot enough to conceal their fear.
Who wouldnât be afraid here? A human would probably soil themself at the sight: John Wick, notorious hitman, covered in blood largely not his own, still fresh from the literal room-full of men heâd dispatched single-handedly with minimal injury to himself.Â
The little one isnât human, though. Theyâre far smaller, perhaps four or five inches tall. They look like theyâve been through their own hell, clothing left in scraps, skin dirtied and bruised. They look like a used and abused lab rat. Hell, they probably areââor thatâs what they likely were before John showed up.
â I just killed twenty men in this room alone, â John says. â These guys hurt you, right? âÂ
The little one nods, a motion almost unseen to the man.
â Well theyâre not going to hurt you anymore. âÂ
â How do I know you didnât come to do even worse things to me, â they say. Their tailââChrist, they have a tail?ââlashes once, agitated. Itâs a fair question. Judging by the number of armed guards John had to get through before he came across them, he imagines theyâre a pretty damn valuable asset.
Why?
He has no damn idea.
â I guess you donât. But if you were why Iâm here, I probably would have just taken your whole cage with you in it, instead of wasting time talking to you. âÂ
This quiets the little one for a long moment. They ponder in silence, still glaring their daggers at John. He sighs.
â Look, Iâm not here for you. I didnât know that you were hereââor that things like you existed to begin with. If you donât want to come with me, thatâs fine. I understand. â He takes a step towards the cage. The little one skitters backwards with a hiss and a few more lashes of their tail. â I donât have time to stick around, so Iâll just open this door and let you go on your own way. â And he does. Despite their hissing and glaring, John unlocks the cage and pulls the door open.
For a long moment, the little one doesnât move.
Fine. Itâs not Johnâs business. This isnât his mission.
He gives them a nod, then straightens his jacket and heads for the door. Not two seconds after exiting the room, a blood-curdling scream of pain howls behind him. John pauses mid-step, hand to his holstered pistol. Heâs familiar with these types of screams, having been the cause of a hundred in the past hour alone. He pulls his gun and backpedals, shoulder to the door, and slowly pushes it open.
There are two things he does not expect to see: one is one of the goons heâd previously dispatched still alive; and two is him on the floor, screaming, foaming at the mouth, and gripping his bleeding hand. Johnâs brows furrow in confusion. His eyes dart from the man to the cage and the little being now standing just outside it, their mouth reddened with blood. They lock eyes with him.
â Donât try to grab me. I will bite, â they say.Â
Johnâs attention returns to the man, no longer screaming, and now bleeding from every facial orifice. Heâs stopped moving. His bloodshot eyes stare blankly into the distance.
The little fucker must pack one helluva bite. Thatâd explain their condition and circumstance.
â Duly noted, â John says. Carefully, slowly, and with hands up once more, John approaches the little one. â So if I donât try to grab you, you wonât bite me, right? âÂ
They look at him warily. No answer.
John swallows down any nervousness and lowers one hand to the table a couple of feet away from the little one. Still they stare at him, tail lashing.
â If I go through that door again, Iâm not going to come back a second time, â he says.Â
It takes another moment of thought and hesitation, but the little one makes a decision and approaches his hand. John steels himself as heâs always done when faced with danger, suppressing the urge to flinch away as they take their first step into his palm.
This is like inviting a rattlesnake onto his person.
The little one kneels in his hand, one of their own little hands braced against his thumb for stability. Carefully, John lifts them and brings them closer to eye level. Itâs clear they donât trust him, and heâs not sure he trusts them either.
â Seriously, donât bite me, â he says. Up close, he can see their features better. They look largely human, save for the size and the tail andââare those pointed ears? What the hell are they?Â
No time to play twenty questions right now.
John brings his hand to a pocket on the inside of his jacket.
â No way, â the little one says quickly.
â I can guarantee you that Iâm going to have to cut through some more guards before we get out of here. I need both hands, and youâd fall off of my shoulder. Not to mention, you might be seen. â He tips his hand towards the pocket, making the little one scramble and cling on for purchase. They open their mouth, showing several jagged teeth, which makes John pause.
â Hey. Iâm not grabbing you. No biting. This is the best option youâve got. â Never mind his rising heart rate. John does not want to find out first hand what the little oneâs bite does to a person. Just seeing it was enough for him.
The little one looks down into the pocket, then back up at John. They look pissed, but they do reluctantly loosen their hold and slide down into the dark space.
â I hate this, â they say, tiny voice muffed under the fabric.Â
â Iâm not thrilled about it either, â John mutters, more to himself than to them.
Theyâve wasted too much time. John tucks his jacket back into place, fully aware of the new weight it carries, and heads once more for the door.
This is going to be one of his more interesting escapes.

The X-Men and the member they lost - Chapter 2
Summary:Â Erik finds out he has a son. But life doesn't like seeing him happy, so it made sure he was already missing when he learned about his existence.
Previous parts: chapter 1, chapter 2, chapter 3, chapter 4, chapter 5, chapter 6, chapter 7, chapter 8,Â
Chapter 2: Erik and his rotten luck with family
It had been a week since the 70s episode had aired and no new episodes had shown up since. That left plenty of time for thinking and pondering on what was this WandaVision show. After many theories, they had conceded to Hankâs idea. It definitely seemed like a glimpse into a parallel universe. The mystery of Peterâs implication still lingered in the air. Charles wasnât sure if he really wanted the answer. This all-powerful woman with the same surname as the speedster could have decided to do anything with him. He had yet to show up anywhere; they had combed the background for signs of him, but they had found nothing. The team went as far as to call it a misleading clue, but he didnât let himself believe that. It was too strange to simply be a coincidence. The telepath was in his office one night when Raven entered.
âIs this a good time?â Wondered the shapeshifter. The professor nodded his head yes and she closed the door behind her before taking a seat. While he didnât look into her head, he could sense her determination and hesitation about what she was about to tell him. Finally, she took a breath, âwe need to tell Erik. About Peter.â
Erik. How could he have forgotten?
He was the boyâs father after all, even if he didnât know it yet. Raven had told him as she filled him in with what had happened when they were fighting Apocalypse. She had mentioned Peterâs confession and how close he came to tell his father the truth. He had kept silent since, deciding that no one was in the right to inform the metal bender other than his own son. But now Peter was missing, they had to get him back. Erik needed to know.
Charles agreed with her and they were off to Erikâs room. The man was reading a book in front of the fireplace, seemingly enjoying a moment of peace and quiet. He turned to them as they opened the door.
âCharles. Raven.â He greeted them as he closed his reading. âWhatâs going on?â
The professor wheeled himself forward to his friend, he knew he had to break it to him gently. âItâs Peter,â he started. The man looked at him, his thoughts echoing his confusion as to why he was bringing up the speedster. âHeâs missing. Has been for about two weeks, but I wanted to make sure before telling you.â
âOkay,â Erik replied after a few seconds of silence, âhave you found anything?â
He could feel Ravenâs frustration growing as the metal bender barely showed any concern. Charles didnât blame him; the man had only seen Peter for an hour at most in the last ten years. He felt the same level of concern to the boy as he would with any other students at the school.
âWe have found something, weâre not sure what it is, but itâs definitely linked to his disappearance.â He paused, trying to see if Erik was starting to understand. He continued when he found no reason to believe so. âDo you remember when he broke you out of prison?â The man nodded. âAnd when he came back to help fight Apocalypse and was injured in the process?â Another nod, more hesitant this time. Erik clearly didnât get where he was going with this. âWhat Iâm trying to say is that heâs a very special person, I hadnât seen his type of power before meeting him and Hank found him fascinating as well. Can you believe he agreed to break you out just for the challenge? Quite extraordinary if I say so myself. But my point is, Peterâs-â
âHeâs your son, you moron!â Snapped Raven, earning herself an offended glance from Charles. âWhat? You clearly werenât going to tell him with all that rambling.â
The pair looked at Erik, awaiting a reaction. Had they not been aware of the situation, they easily could have believed that he was doing an aneurism. The man didnât speak, but the metal in the room started shaking. Raven called out to Erik to try to calm him down, but her voice fell on deaf ears. Only when Charles shouted at him to stop that the man gradually calmed down.
âI... I have a son?â He seemed beyond shocked as he finally acknowledged the truth. Charles nodded yes and met Erikâs gaze as the man spoke once again. âWhat did you gather about his disappearance?â
âDonât you need a moment to collect yourself and take in the situation?â Wondered the telepath. The manâs thoughts were all over the place, filled with shock and worry. It was obvious he needed some time alone. âErik, please take some time, join us when youâll be ready.â
The man didnât protest as Charles and Raven exited the room. They closed the door and met up with the team, informing them about the situation.
...
Erik, in all his life, had never considered himself lucky. He had lost his family in Auschwitz and was then used as a lab rat by Shaw. Once the evil man had been taken care of, many years later, he had then accidentally paralyzed Charles, one of his few friends. Then he was wrongly accused of killing the president and imprisoned for nearly a decade until he was freed. By his son. But of course, he didnât know, because life was just like that with him, and he had gone on a quest to show the world the true power of mutant kind. That, of course, ended horribly; so, he went into hiding. He had built a family, a happy one even. He truly had hope for a better future, but life loved to prove him wrong. Madga and Nina had died, and he had been chosen to be a horseman for a god. He had, in his grief, accepted and it led to Peter having his leg broken. He felt sick to his stomach as he recalled the panicked look on the young manâs face, his eyes pleading him to do something. He didnât know, why hadnât he known? The boy had almost died, and he did absolutely nothing.
How could he even consider himself his father when he had already failed him so much?
Still, he might not even get a real chance to properly know him now that his son had gone missing. Erik definitely wasnât a lucky person.
He looked at the fireplace that had previously given him comfort and suddenly felt like the heat was choking him. He paced quickly through the mansion; the corridors were empty due to the late hour. After getting outside, he decided to walk around the lake. The little waves created by the soft breeze always helped grounding him. His Nina always loved the water. They had installed a bird bath because she had requested that the surrounding animals should always have something to drink when they came to visit her. He wore a small smile on his lips as he sat on the grass in front of the lake and sighed.
âHello, my darling,â he told the water. âItâs already been a year since you and your mother left. I hope youâre happy wherever you are.â A curious bird landed next to him, looking at the man with puzzlement. Erik smiled, perhaps Nina lived on in all the creatures she loved so much. He held out a hand to the small animal, not really expecting anything. Surprisingly, it flew towards him and landed on his finger. Erik felt his heart grow warm as the bird let him pet his back. The soft feathers felt so similar to his daughterâs hair. âYou might not believe it, but I just discovered that you have a half brother. Heâs older than you, but Iâm sure you would have gotten along well.â The bird chirped at his words. He stopped stroking it, âbut Iâm afraid heâs gone for now. What do you think we should do?â The bird looked at him with its small eyes and stretched its wings, taking off in the sky to regions unknown. Erik dared a hopeful smile as he watched it fly away. He looked at the sky, contemplating the stars before getting up. âDonât worry Peter,â he told the wind, âweâll find you.â
...
The moment he had gone back in the mansion, he was intercepted by Charles who called him to his office. The wheelchair bound man had a few files open on his desk. He motioned Erik forward as he spotted his friend.
âIâm glad youâre feeling better, I take it you want to know what weâve gathered so far?â
Erik nodded, of course he did. Charles took the files with him and led them out. They entered the room containing Cerebro, he was about to ask him their reason for being there, but he was interrupted by his friend.
âBefore we start, I want you to keep an open mind. We donât know what exactly is going on.â
Erik frowned but agreed to the conditions, nonetheless. The bald man pressed a few commands on the board and the screens lit up.
Whatever he was expecting to see, it wasnât this. He had expected government videos showing his son dragged out of a car, him being taken or even tortured. He certainly hadnât expected to see a sitcom that somehow changed decades every episode. It seemed completely irrelevant, but the few cuts and creepy details kept him from dismissing the whole thing as a joke. The third episode was particularly strange. Fear creeped into his veins as the woman menacingly approached her friend. He wasnât sure what was worse, the cut that showed nothing or the possibilities of what couldâve have happened to the poor woman.
When everything was done, he turned to the telepath. âWhat does this mean Charles?â
The man sighed, putting a finger to his head for a second before looking at him again. âIâve called the others; theyâll be here soon.â He turned to the screen that showed the rolling credits. âFrom what weâve gathered, this is a parallel universe. The woman, Wanda, seems to either control this world or is trapped there as well.â
âBut what does this have to do with my son? As far as Iâm aware, heâs never met this woman.â Their discussion was interrupted by Jean, Scott, Kurt, Ororo, Hank and Raven coming in. They had probably been woken up by the telepathâs call, judging by their yawns and sleepy eyes. After a few seconds of questioning from the tired young adults, Charles motioned them forward and opened one of the files he had with him.
âThis is Peterâs file, I hadnât really thought about reading it, since heâs past high school age, but Wandaâs comment made me curious.â He pointed to his personal information, it contained his name, address, and schools he had previously attended. Nothing seemed amiss. âI did some digging and it turns out that âPeterâ isnât his real name. It was changed when he was very young.â He flipped the page, showing a government document authorizing the name change. The team looked at themselves in shock as they read âPietro Maximoffâ.
âSo, what does it mean?â Chimed in Hank. âSure, he has the same name as the womanâs dead brother, but thereâs no way theyâve ever met.â
Charles scoffed in amusement, âyes, youâre right. But I searched through various archives to find more about him, and I came across this.â He pulled out an old newspaper clipping. It read:Â mysterious death of a teen leaves the police baffled.
The article had one picture, it showed a teenage girl smiling, like any other child her age. Erik looked at Charles, demanding confirmation about his suspicions. The telepath nodded, âthis is a picture of Wendy Maximoff, Peterâs twin.â
The group was silent for awhile when Jean suddenly gasped. âOh my god,â she covered her mouth in horror. âI once asked Peter why he didnât like celebrating birthdays and he told me how he used to have two cakes but only had one now.â She looked towards Scott and Kurt. âI- I assumed he was being greedy, but the loss of his twin could explain it!â
Erik didnât listen to the groupâs reaction; he was too busy processing the information he had just learned. How could he miss so much of his sonâs life? He should have been there to help him and make sure that he would be alright. Instead, he was too focused on getting revenge and he had missed nearly thirty years of Peterâs life. And with his disappearance, it unfortunately was very possible that heâd miss more. Everyoneâs rambling was interrupted by Cerebro lighting up again. Erik watched nervously as the front of a house appeared. The woman and her husband were trying to get their babies to sleep, something they were apparently not keen on. They continued trying, Wanda even tried to use her magic on them, but, surprisingly, it didnât work. Their neighbor came in, saying how she had heard them and could help. Then it became strange as Vision suddenly suggested that she shouldnât help. Agnes looked at Wanda for instructions, asking if she wanted to restart the scene. Erik didnât have to look around to know that everyone here was confused. Wanda brushed it off, to the confusion of her husband. All of a sudden, the crying stopped; the twins were asleep. Except they werenât in their cribs. A slight panic settled in Erikâs stomach; the loss of a child seemed too dark for a show like this... right? Strangely enough, the twins werenât missing, they had aged up to five. The screen cut to the theme song.
âAre the children mutants?â Asked Raven, uncertain about the change of event.
Charles has a pensive look to his face, âIâm afraid I cannot say, for now.â
The episode continued, with the twins adopting a dog. Curiously, Wanda seemed tired of hiding her powers, going as far as using it in front of their neighbor. The most peculiar thing happened when the two parents settled that the twins were too young to keep their dog. They suddenly aged up again, now ten years old. Erik had to give it to Charles, this show definitely wasnât just a coincidence. Were they looking at a new concept for a mutant prison? It certainly seemed like it.
The scene changed to show the husbandâs workplace, they were installing computers and people around him were trying to figure out how to make it work. After some corny jokes, an email showed up and the whole room read it together. The X-Men watched Vision wake up his co-worker who seemed to panic about contacting his father.
âThatâs mind control,â gasped Jean, âI know that panic, itâs horrible.â
The man screamed about a woman in his head, probably Wanda, and became more and more agitated. Vision zapped him again and, like a switch, he was back to Norm, the friendly co-worker. The group watched in stunned silence as it cut to Wanda and her children. Billy was training the dog and seemed pretty good at it. The twins excitedly got up, wanting to show their father but Wanda told them he was at work. The conversation then turned into a classic âfamily is foreverâ speech; telling them how theyâll always have each other, no matter what.
âDo you have a brother, mom?â Asked of the boys.
She looked off in the distance, obviously wondering how to explain her brotherâs situation. âI do,â she said, âheâs far away from here and that makes me... sad sometimes.â
Erik didnât have time to dwell on the possible meanings of her words as the dog suddenly ran out of the door. The twins and Wanda ran out, chasing it. They lost sight of it. Suddenly, the redhead looked up at the sky in anger and told the boys to continue look for Sparky without her. The scene continued with the boys walking alone.
âWhat do you think she meant by far away?â Asked the boy in green, Tommy, if he remembered well.
His brother shook his head, âI donât know, but how cool would it be to meet our uncle?â
The boys giggled and continued calling for their dog. Seeing how the episode was significantly darker than the other ones, Erik didnât have much hope for the poor animal. Turns out he was right; it had eaten a poisonous plant and the boys were heartbroken. After some strange comments about bringing back the dead, they were back at the house. There was tension between Wanda and Vision. He told her about what happened at his work, accusing her of being the cause.
âYou canât control me the way you do them.â
The woman tilted her head to the side, clearly challenged by her husbandâs words. âCanât I?â
There were scoffs of surprise in the room as the credits suddenly rolled. The android didnât let that stop him as he pointed out the problems with the world, they lived in. He went on to say that he had no memories of his life before the show. That was puzzling, did this place erase peopleâs memories to guarantee their good behavior? Vision then pointed out the lack of children, something Erik hadnât noticed but was unmistakable once you realized it. Wanda sat on the couch, trying to explain why she wasnât controlling anyone. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
âI swear, if Agnes comes in at that moment, Iâm going to lose it,â whined Scott.
âI donât know,â replied Ororo, âusually she just lets herself in.â
The doorbell rang a second time and Vision watched Wanda with accusations in his eyes as she walked to the door. She opened it and was immediately shocked at whoever was at the door. The android asked his wife for the identity of the guest with suspicion. The camera slowly panned over to the person, only showing to back of their head.
Showing his silver hair
The suspense didnât last much longer, the camera showing that it was indeed the missing speedster. Quiet gasps were heard as Peter walked towards the woman.
âLong-lost bro get to squeeze his stinkin' sister to death or what?â His voice echoed on the walls of the room.
âPietro?â He nodded his head and the two shared a hug. It lasted a few seconds and Peter pointed to Vision as he walked in.
âWhoâs the popsicle?â
The audience laughed at his joke and the screen faded to black, leaving the team stunned as the credits rolled.
âWe have to go get him,â said Raven. âI donât think heâs safe with her.â
Hank nodded, âI think I can find a way,â he pointed to Jean, âI think you could open a gateway to wherever Peter is. Iâve adjusted the machine to focus on the frequency. If you really concentrate, Iâm sure itâll work.â
âAlright, Raven, Erik and I will go,â decided Charles.
Kurt stepped in, âyou might need a quick way out, I can help.â He shook his head as Raven and Charles were about to protest. âIâm the one that noticed he was gone; I want to be there when we bring him back.â
The professor agreed and told them to go pack whatever theyâd need and to be back as soon as possible.
***
Jean put on the helmet and closed her eyes in concentration. She held out a hand to better focus her power. Nothing much happened, but she frowned her brows with renewed efforts. Flickers of orange light made itself known, slowly gathering together to form a small circle. She grunted in efforts and the portal grew bigger. She opened her eyes which were now glowing a fiery orange and she let out a screech. The gateway was now big enough for them to go through. They quickly said their goodbyes, Charles leaving Hank in charge for the time he was gone. The four shared a look and took a determined step forward. Passing through another dimension definitely felt strange. Nothing seemed solid as they were suddenly free falling.
They landed on the grass. Erik quickly helped Charles back into his wheelchair and took a look around. There was a military base with soldiers that stared at them with dumbfounded faces. He could hear an alarm, probably trigged when they came in. An older man that seemed to be an authority figure started shouting at them, but Erik didnât hear him. All he could see was the sign that indicated that Westview was in front of them; and the force field surrounding it.
***
Notes:Â I have to say, Erik talking to Nina is probably my favourite part of this chapter. I've also made up a scene of the boys talking together based on the image of them walking alone that was in the SWORD base in WandaVision. Next up: The x-men meet Hayward (Erik doesn't like him) and learn about who Wanda Maximoff is.

Whatever You Need
(Chip x Fem!Reader)
A/N - am I little in love with Chip? Yes, but who isnât? So please enjoy my hot take on our lovely Mr. Chip Taylor
Summary - a university professor meets a very adorable maintenance guy ...
Warnings - a pinch of swearing and two teaspoons of mentioning gross things
Word Count - 3kÂ
-------
Thereâs a thin line, she realises as she rushes into the lecture hall, between anthropological research and grave robbing. When youâre on loan to the federal government and a water pipe bursts at a cemetery, there isnât much to do other than say, âyes sir Mr. FBI agent, I will gladly slop through three feet of mud and water, digging through graves!â
Sheâs ten minutes late to her lecture. Ten minutes long enough that the TAâs are snickering. Ten minutes long enough that the entire class looks horrified that their Anthropology 101 professor is covered head to toe in dried mud, grass, and whatever else could be found in destroyed 19th century coffins.
She sets her bag down heavily on the desk and startles everyone in the room. Sans the maintenance guy. Heâs tinkering with vent at the foot of door. Heâs mostly a faded ball cap and a distressed jean jacket, one arm shoved up the vent. She canât imagine why someone would have their arm up a vent, but god only knows why the university would ask someone to.
A moment passes where she unabashedly stares. How did she miss him? Was she in that much of a hurry that she nearly tripped on the guy and didnât look back? And what the hell is in that vent?
The TAâs snicker behind her back, sobering up when she shoots them a half deadly look. Sheâs covered in mud, not lenience. She half hopes Maintenance Guy will turn aroundâshe has a desperate, yet beguiling feeling heâs hot. But what sheâs really curious for is whatâs stuck up that vent.
And he doesnât turn aroundâhis complete disregard of her is a 180 from the rapt attention sheâs receiving from her studentsâuntil sheâs frustratedly brushing dirt off her face. Pulling grass from her hair.
âLet me just start with,â she begins, pulling an earth worm out of her sleeve, âif the federal government asks you to sort through bodies in a flooded cemetery, tell them no. And despite how much fun grave digging can be, thereâs a thin line and that line is punctuated by whether theyâre arresting me or not.â
Maintenance Guy snorts, head turned to beam up at her. Sheâs almost taken aback by how bright he seems. How his grin puts the sun in its place. He looks honest, grease stains and all.
Thereâs something to be said about the fact sheâs studying his bone structure instead of his fleshy bits. She canât tell you what colour his eyes are, but his zygomatic bones are killer.
âProfessor?â a TA prompts, ineffectively holding back their own knowing smiles.
âThanks for reminding me,â she replies, digging through her bag to hand out a stack of student essays. âPass these back, please?â
Tick one for the professor.
âAnd as per usual,â she announces, leaning back against the white board, âletâs do our daily recap. And as you know, these questions can be used to aid in exams.â
She sneaks a glance at Maintenance Guy, pulling his arm out from the vent. He grumbles, digs through his toolbox, and grabs a screwdriver. Whatever is in that vent is stuck.
Once the rustling stops, she says, âOkay, question one: if your professorâthat would be me for those of us who are newâwere to be one of, say, five wives with one husband, itâs calledâ?â
âPolygamy!â a student shouts from the front row.
âYouâre right, but you arenât correct,â she says, standing up straight. âPolygamy is the practice of having more than one spouse. Polygynyâwith an ânââis multiple wives to one husband. Examples of the culture are Kenyaâs Logoli and other Abalulya sub ethnic groups.â
She writes it on the board for spelling, and glances over to see Maintenance Guy paused in his excavation of the vent. Heâs paying better attention than her students. Itâs sort of sweet and she stifles her soft giggle at the thought.
Heâs ridiculously tall and she takes a moment to appreciate just how long his femurs have to be.
âQuestion two!â she announces and finds even the most hungover kids forcing their attention on her. âIf your professor were to marry five men all at once, thatâs calledâ?â
âPolyandry,â a student pipes up from the back. âA lot of times itâs fraternal marriage.â
âExamples of a culture that practicesââ
Pop!
Maintenance Guy rolls back with the force. His knees are still bent from where theyâd been used as leverage against the vent, a wall of debris bursting into his face. In one gloved hand was a dead raccoon, while the other desperately brushed bits of the ventâs clogâa raccoonâs nestâfrom his eyes.
âOh Jesus,â she mutters, jumping into action. She picks up a garbage bag from his toolbox and nets the dead animal from his hand. Itâs a pretty tame find, though sheâs used to human remains which tended to beâgooier.
With the animal tucked up, she hauls Maintenance Guy to a sitting position, frantically cleaning the odds and ends of the nest out of his eyes. She steals his ball cap as she whispers kind words to him, further trying to shake the bits of insulation out of his shaggy hair.
The class is in a terrible chatter behind them. Not that it matters. Not with Maintenance Guyâs eyes opened and his hands gently clutching onto her wrists as she brushes the last bits of insulation off his cheeks. His eyes are definitely hazel up this close.
âThanks,â he croaks, still gently latched onto her hands.
âItâs no problem,â she smiles back, absently studying the rest of his face. Heâs got the kind of skull sheâd love to see on her tableâwell, maybe once heâs died of his own accord because he seems rather sweet. Confused and concerned, butâŠsweet. âDonât worry. Iâve had much worse flung all over me. You donât much get used to it.â
He smiles, barely chuckling. Coughs up a bit of insulation.
âYou might want to see a doctor. Insulation in the lungs isâŠwhat gets you a one way ticket to my lab.â She grins at her own terrible joke. His eyes are too close and she canât help but wish for a skeleton to be looking back at her. She understands those. People are tooâŠgooey.
âIâm Chip,â he offers, silently asking her for help to his feet. She does, offering her own name in return. He mulls over it, like itâs a fine wine sitting on his tongue. âProfessor Y/N. Thanks again.â
She shrugs, mouth suddenly too dry. Heart beating too fast. Jesus, human interaction was going to kill her. There was no job to distract her from Chipâs strong hands. There were no bodies to keep Chipâs genuine gaze off of her. There wasnât anything to distract from seeing Chip as so pleasantly human.
âWant the raccoon as a consolation prize?â he chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck with a newly de-gloved hand. Thereâs something satisfying about answering questions that arenât meant as questions. Especially ones that showed just how weird she really was. The questions that were relationship testersâlike can we be friends if I tell you that I keep carrion beetles as pets?
âActually, sure.â Chipâs jaw drops just slightly open. He has cute teeth. âDissection is a key part of the anthropological process, forensic or not. Letâs see just what this raccoon was up to. Eh, class?â
Every single one a deer in the headlights, the class goes eerily silent. She winks at Chip and announces again. âDonât you guys want to see what I do for a living? I mean human remains are much cooler but I think we can settle for a mostly solid raccoon carcass.â
A TA clutches at her stomach. âProfessor, never say that again.â
The professor just laughs, absentmindedly taking a soft grip on Chipâs shoulder. âDonât worry everyone, Chipâs going to keep the raccoon. At least Iâm not making the final a practical examination. I do have access to laboratory ratsââ
The entire class clambered forward, hoping to dispel the idea and the evil smirk off their professorâs lips. She just beamed back at Chip, dropping her hand. She expected the same horrified expression of her students, but he seemed, dare she say, impressed.
That wide eyed shock creeps onto her face. Because who would risk being impressed by a professor covered in dirt from grave digging who offered to dissect a raccoon at 10 AM on a Tuesday?
Apparently, itâs this guy. Must have a thing for crazy women.
Chip shakes his head, bites his lip, and turns to stoop for his raccoon trophy. âIâll, uh, have them send someone for the nest. IâI guess I have to do something with the raccoon, if youâre sure you donât want it?â
She just shakes her head, failing miserably at keeping her cherry red tint to herself. âNo, no. Maybe next time.â
âNext time,â he repeats, rather sadly, to himself. Though, as he turns to leave, it feels more like a promise.
#
The worst part about knowing Chip is that she seems to see him everywhere. Rushing between lecture halls? There he is, doing his best to fix a fountain. Getting escorted away by federal agents? There he is, sympathetically waving as he walks across the quad. Leading a group of students outside to lecture on the green? Thereâs Chip, fixing a sprinkler.
Sheâs had exactly three times in the last six months to talk to him. All under three minutes.
But today, today sheâs running late from court. Grand jury testimony had gone fine, until AgentâGod, sheâll never learn his nameâWhatsHisFace tried to ask her out again. Because what a turn on talking about the mutilation of a hacked up college girl was.
It also didnât help that, outside of the court room half an hour before, she was doodling what she thought Chipâs skull would look like.
So she canât help but storm into her postage stamp of a classroom, dropping her package on the desk with a gentle, yet annoyed huff. Her 12 students, all seniors in the Anthropology department, raised their eyebrows at her. At her court getup.
Sheâd missed those formative lessons at 13 on how to be a proper lady. And even if she had had them, it probably wouldnât have stuck. Besides, what she wore into the field had to be more than acceptable for the universityâs standards. The heels and pink blouse of today were extremely rare and uncomfortable.
âWhoa, Professor Y/N!â Reese Rosebeck calls out, dramatically twitching in his chair, âIs that really you? You look hot!â
âHa, ha. Thatâs a very coherent thought for the kid who wrote the worst paper Iâve ever read,â she deadpans. She relents when she sees his dramatic puppy dog pout. âThough, I do have to say I enjoyed youâre use of colloquial slang. Accentuated your point very cleverly.â
âAs long as I impress the hottest professor on campus, Iâm alright.â
There was a quiet laugh from the back of the room, and she found her eyes snapping to the hunched over back of none other than, Maintenance Guy Chip Taylor. Heâs just quietly listeningâas alwaysâtinkering with the radiator pipes in the back of the room. Sheâs half thankful. It is starting to get cold.
âHey, Chip!â she chirps and the poor thing bangs his head on the pipes. He waves her off in a flash, hand extended wildly above the other desks in the room. Reese chuckles to himself, dragging Lionel with him.
She kicks her heels off behind her desk, straightening herself once sheâs back on stable ground. Sheâs about three apples short of a pie to wear heels for more than six consecutive minutes. The female students give her rather sympathetic looks as she begins to roll her feet and open her package.
She pauses halfway in. Jeez, she forgot aboutââHey, Chip?â
Like a meerkat, he pops up with a dazzling soft grin.
âAre you going to call the cops on me?â
âExcuse me?â
Her studentsâ eyes bounce back and forth between the pair, following the invisible tennis match. The professor settles on a rather tired, âAre you going to call the cops? The last person who attended lecture that didnât know me, called the cops because of a demonstration. So, are you?â
âNo.â He shakes his head and she wonders if heâs a little too trusting. Heâs honest as he leans back down to continue futzing with the pipes. Heâs genuine in every interaction they have. Does she really deserve the kind of trust heâs offering? To a crazy woman whoâs asked if heâll call the cops on her?
She shakes the thought away. These 12 studentsâtangible studentsâneed her focus. At least for the next few minutes. She pulls six human skulls from her package, all neatly wrapped up in protective glass cases. She places those on the table along with a box of gloves.
âTwo people to a skull,â she announces and runs through the rest of the directions. âDonât forget your gloves. You too, Ms. Figg.â
Jamie Figgâs fierce blush is long forgotten once they are all set to work. Tactile learning is the best way to learn in her opinion, expressly in advanced classes like these. It also gives her a moment to rest her brainâeven if itâs a few minutes before the onslaught of necessary questions.
She settles into an unused section of chairs and desks, smiling absently at the way all of the kids have squeezed themselves around the one table. She misses the days when she was young and new, ready to find her own legs to stand on.
Chipâs not quiet and she watches him with too much adoration as he sits down next to her. Itâs not all too unexpected nor uninvited. He smells like grease and good cologne up close, mixed up with that dangerous combination of hazel eyes and delicious bone structure.
Chip smirks, drawing her out of her smidge of staring. âSee anything good?â
âYou have excellent bones,â she mutters, tracing a finger against her own cheek instead of his. âProminent zygomatic bones and well balanced supraorbital margins. But the, um, the rest of you isâis nice too.â
Oh great one, Y/N. Perfect. Youâre such a fucking creep.
Chip just smiles. The kind of soft upturn of the lips and dip of the head that means he took it like the compliment it was meant as. He runs a rather shakey hand through his hair, bringing his gaze back up to do his own staring. She wonders what he sees about her. Sheâs sure he doesnât see bone structure like she does, but does her flesh give away something she doesnât know about?
Chip wrings his hand down behind his neck and she sees it. That little bit of something that brews between his bones and his epidermis. The fuzzy sort of thing that sits behind his eyes. The one sheâs seen in war veterans, cops, and now the universityâs maintenance man.
And as if heâs just a skull on her table, she states ever so eloquently, âYou look like the kind of guy whoâs seen some shit, Chip.â
And as if sheâs accepted his offer for the raccoon all over again, he beams. He further turns away from her, shaking his head, and she follows his eye line to the students not so subtly glancing over at the pair every three seconds. The dozen are still chattering on, examining the skulls in their hands with rapt fascination.
Chip, despite all the non-threatening, sensitive, idiot boy vibes, looks over the skulls with more recognition than she cares to admit she sees. Most people donât look at skulls like theyâre familiar. Like the idea of them being formerly attached to a living person doesnât bother them.
Again, looks like heâs seen some shit.
âAre they real?â
She nods, taking a tiny chance and pressing their shoulders together. Sheâs not upset to say that Chip carries very warm skin on his lovely skeletal structure. She wipes the blush off her cheeks and answers, âFrom the universityâs collection. Iâve done a lot of travelling, lots of excavations, lots of grave robbingâsometimes the university doesnât miss the skulls of the not-so-recently deceased.â
âYouâre veryââ
âCreepy? Weird?â
She hopes that Chip is too stupid to hear the insecurity bleed through. That heâs too stupid to look at her the way he is. Instead, he squints as if he canât risk choosing the wrong adjective, so the words inch through his brain. All carefully refined into his choice of, ââŠIntelligent.â
His takes her hand in his to accentuate his point. She nearly stops breathing.
âYouâve forgotten more this morning than Iâll ever know,â he whispers. She doesnât know how to look at him without letting him see the hearts in her eyes. Her fingers tighten against his. âIâd never call you creepy.â
She swallows, fighting against the rock in her throat. It wasnât often people paid her any compliments, especially after sheâd let her mouth run for more than five minutes in a one-on-one conversation.
And as if she isnât already trying to desperately clutch onto her frayed nerves, he confidently pulls a slightly creased business card from his shirt pocket. Offers it to her irritatedly hesitant fingers.
âI do home visits, you know,â he says, putting more weight into where their skin touches. âSo, if youâre dishwasher breaks or something, give meâgive me a call.â
Chip squeezes her fingers one more time, double checks sheâs holding onto the business card, and walks back for his toolbox. Only when the classroom door is closing behind him does Reese shout out, âOh-ho-ho! Professorâs getting some!â
âGet back to your skull before I use yours as a soup bowl,â she snaps, though she canât hide the cherries in her cheeks as she thumbs over the business card. Chip Taylor. Whatever you need.

The Void
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x mutant!Reader
Warnings: yandere, obsession, HYDRAâs experiments, brief mention of suicidal thoughts, captivity, home invasion, stalking, kidnapping.
Words: 2381.
Summary: Once an ordinary human, you keep running away from both HYDRA and Avengers, knowing what your powers will be used for. The problem is the Soldat picking up your trail.
P.S. The reader is somewhat dark-ish in this one.
________________
Carefully slipping inside the laundry room through a broken window, you landed on the cold concrete floor and shivered, hoping you could find a really warm blanket somewhere upstairs.
Although you still felt a bit ashamed breaking in the houses of other people like that, at this point it was the one and only alternative you had. Of course, there was always an option to submit to HYDRA or whoever else was hunting you down, but you didnât really appreciated it, simply trying to stay away from both heroes and villains since to you they were all the same. You knew perfectly well once somebody captured you theyâd be using you for murdering other people.
Thankfully, laundry room wasnât locked, and you started wandering the house, peeping into each and every room. Watching photos of the family the house belonged to, you felt guilty again. These people werenât at fault you were homeless and chased out from every damn place on the Earth, but you still took what was theirs just because you could find no other way to live. Well, at least you tried to leave the place as it had been prior to your break-in, except a broken window in the laundry room and canned beans youâd eat.
God, you could kill for a bowl of homemade chicken soup. You barely remembered eating it before HYDRA captured you a few years ago. Of course, they didnât try to starve you there, but you couldnât call what theyâd been giving you real food either. Thinking of your cell and those meals made you squeeze your eyes shut and take a deep breath. Everywhere was better than there, so you needed to put your shit together and take whatever fate offered you.
It was getting late, and you glanced at the tiny window in the basement, wrapped in a big grey comforter you brought from upstairs. You never slept in the rooms of other people, not knowing when the rightful owners of the houses you broke in could come back. Generally, you didnât have problems with people, either escaping before their return or finding your way out secretly without them knowing somebody was hiding in their basement. However, sometimes you had a feeling people hunting you were coming close, and you didnât risk getting too comfortable. Today was one of those days, and you bit down on your lower lip. These ones were probably not HYDRA operatives - theyâd never risk attacking you at night when your powers were at peak. Nevertheless, it didnât mean whoever was coming for you was harmless. You had to be prepared.
Thatâs it. Somebody was approaching, you could feel it in your bones. It was probably the one and only thing you were grateful to HYDRA - you were nearly invincible in the dark.
Silently leaving the comforter on the floor near an empty can, you got up, moving to stand near the wall behind the door, hardened black mass blocking tiny windows and leaving the intruder only one way to get in. You hoped they werenât bringing explosives as you still had a hard time compressing the darkness around them - a month ago it resulted in some serious damage done to the house where you were hiding.
But this time was different: there was only one man who came for you, A strange man, though. He had a metal arm, and his body⊠It was something you had never felt before. The man was like that Duracell bunny they showed in TV ad, enhanced to the point he was barely human, probably.
But he was still just a man, now all alone with a monster like you.
When he entered quietly, leaving the door barely open, you blew it off its hinges. You had very little patience - now you would have to have a sleepless night, trying to find a new hideout as far as you could from this place and hoping HYDRA wouldnât track you down. Its operatives were way more creative in their attempts to catch you: that mirror box trapping light nearly killed you last time.
Wrapping your fists into black mass like boxing gloves, you punched the man, but he quickly moved away, apparently, more skilled in combat than you were. Well, whatever, you thought as the darkness disintegrated on top of your skin, and then the intruder got a direct blow to his stomach without you getting near him. Coming to you at night was a suicide.
You kept beating him down until he dropped to the cold floor of the basement, beads of sweat and blood shining on his skin as you pinned him down, completely unharmed. You did your best to avoid the vital organs, but it was probably unnecessary - you could literally feel the soldier regenerating while he laid down, staring at the ceiling. Was he HYDRAâs creation just like you were? Or did good guys make beasts like him, too?
âI wonât do anything to you,â you told him, coming closer to look into his surprisingly handsome face, âbut Iâll kill whoever you send to catch me next.â
âHYDRAâs⊠coming after you.â The soldier muttered, coughing and wincing from pain as you towered above him.
âYou or them, doesnât matter much.â
A part of you felt remorse for beating the stranger so bad he couldnât rip the restraints holding him down despite his enormous strength, but the other part made you remember you were the victim, not him. The only thing you ever wanted was living like a human being, not a lab rat or a weapon of mass destruction used by whoever hold you hostage.
Besides, if this guy didnât know the nature of your powers before attacking you, now he certainly did. It was unwise to let him live - he would definitely let his masters know - but you couldnât force yourself to end him. Killing wasnât nice. You had never enjoyed it.
âAvengers can protect you.â
What? Did the man work for them, then? You smirked, shaking you head.
âAvengers canât protect themselves. Now please be quiet and let me leave. Weâre done for today.â Turning your back at him, you went to grab your backpack and then put a few cans in it to continue your journey, tired and upset you couldnât rest despite travelling all day long.
âI can help you.â
You abruptly turned to face him still chained to the floor and clenched your teeth. This was what HYDRAâs men were telling you year after year. Helping you, that what they were doing.
âIf you donât shut the fuck up, Iâm going to plant spikes right through your tongue.â You hissed at him, going back and watching him with his pretty mouth finally shut. âIf you wanna play a hero so much, go wipe HYDRA out and forget Iâve ever existed.â
The soldier stayed silent, and you exhaled angrily, marching through the basement to the stairs and quickly going up. God knew how many people could be waiting for you outside of the house - Avengers were usually gathering together on the missions, even you knew that from occasionally seeing them in the news.
Shit, it was going to be a long night.
________________________
One more month was gone as you continued to run and hide like the worldâs top criminal, chased out of many cities where you could find peace for at least a couple of days. Now it was mostly one-night sleepovers anywhere you could find. You finally understood what being a mad dog meant - sometimes you thought you could kill for those canned beans you hated so much before.
Slowly, but surely you were running out of options where to hide. The only place now was the forest surrounding that little town where you relocated after your brief encounter with HYDRA two days ago. Forest was a bad place to be. You had very little skills allowing you to survive out in the wild for long. The more you thought about that, the more you realized you had, in fact, only one option left.
Suicide. Only then you could become truly free of that mad chase and ensure no one would use your abilities for killing others. You already had enough blood on your hands.
And still, when you though of black spikes piercing your head, you were shaking. It would be so much easier if somebody just shot you when you werenât looking.
Huh, what a cruel world you lived in, you thought while finishing a can of chicken ham - God, you didnât even remember when you ate something so delicious. It was harder to imagine killing yourself after a good meal, but you still considered the option, looking at the carpet with a dull expression on your face.
You were euphoric after your escape from that facility where you were held, and now you were thinking maybe it was better to just wither there like all those countless men and women before you, unable to contain their enormous powers in pathetic human bodies. What was the point of being so strong if you couldnât have your life back? What were these powers for except the destruction? Youâd gladly exchange your fantastic abilities on a chance to return home to your family. That is, if HYDRA let it be, which was unlikely.
You blinked, tired to the point you barely felt your own body. If theyâd decide to come for you now, you probably couldnât dodge the attack this time.
But it wasnât HYDRA who came for you - with a syringe in your neck, you suddenly fell down to the floor, watching the handsome face of a man who had seemingly emerged from the wall behind you like a ghost. What was that? Was he like you, too? You didnât sense it in him the first time, but maybe the soldier was more dangerous than you anticipated. Well, he certainly was, you thought as he carried you upstairs like a firefighter escaping the burning house. Would he lock you down in a cell, too? Would he let his masters experiment on you for the sake of humanity? Would he kill you once you closed your eyes?
Before the soldier reached the front entrance, you had already lost consciousness under the influence of the drag he injected.
The darkness that followed should had been calming, soothing, as you only felt safe in complete darkness, but you couldnât find your peace: it was cold and lonely and scary when you were falling down deeper and deeper into the black void. Did he kill you, then? Was it the end? Would you spend your eternity in the dark?
It certainly felt like eternity before you woke up, still in the middle of nowhere, but feeling a soft mattress beneath your back. Your arms and legs hurt - it felt like you were tied up to bed. However, the fabric of your clothes was nothing like the ones you wore before the assault. It felt soft, and smelled pretty nice, too.
But you still saw nothing, nothing at all. Everything was pitch black.
Were you in a dark room? A cell? Whatever, you could work with it, you though and called the darkness as if it was a part of you.
And nothing happened.
You called again, then once more and once more, but the darkness didnât free you. It didnât answer to your plea - it wasnât there at all.
Suddenly, you realized there was no darkness surrounding you as you heard a subtle buzz of dozen projectors directed right at you. The darkness was in your head because they blinded you.
You were screaming and crying and jolting on the bed, trying your best to break free, crush the metal headboard, do anything at all to just touch your eyes, discover what they did to you as you felt nothing but numbness and some tingling. Did they pluck out your eyes? Did they take them out because it would be easier to control you once you lost your eyesight?
You didnât know whether you were still screaming when you felt a strangerâs hand on your cheek as he sat down on the bed. Exhausted and horrified, you tried kicking him, but the restraints kept you in place as he lowered his head to your face, âitâs alright. Youâre safe.â
Oh, it was him. It was the soldier who had emerged from the wall of the house you were hiding the last time.
âWhat did you⊠do to me?â Breathing hard, you yanked your head to the side to avoid his touch. Huh, safe, that how he called it. HYDRA or Avengers, there had never been any difference to you.
âI had to temporarily blind and drug you. The effect will wash off in a few days.â
With that, you forgot how to breathe for a couple of seconds. Temporarily? Did it mean you eyes would be alright? Did he not pop your eyes out of their sockets?
âPlease, calm down. I wonât hurt you.â
You stayed quiet, but not because the soldier asked you to. You just laid there, listening to the buzz of the projectors and thinking you would be able to see something again. For a few seconds you were filled with a bitter sense of triumph. Maybe you were crying again, though you couldnât really feel the tears streaming down your face.
Oh, how could you wish to die? How could you even think of committing suicide? No, no, never again, even if youâd have to break each and every bone in the bodies of your enemies, and rip their heads off. Whatever it takes just never to return to that black void again.
âNo one knows youâre here.â The soldier said somewhere close to your face, and you furrowed your brows. âHYDRA wonât find you.â
âUntil you push me to the battlefield.â You sneered, still furious he did such a horrible thing to you, leaving you here like that.
âAvengers donât know you here either.â
Laughing sarcastically, you fell silent as you felt his flesh hand touching your cheek and brushing the hair out of your face.
âDonât worry, I will fulfill your wish.â You could smell the metal of his breath. âYou wonât exist for anyone but me.â

may i please get a small fic about the loveshrooms?
I didn't expect anyone to like the idea, but I'm so glad you did!
I was going to bring a Yan Bakugou into the mix but- I felt like I could end up disappointing you in a way so I'll just leave it as a ambiguous character, what do you think?
Also, love shrooms is actually a really good name lol!
TW/Tags: loss of sanity and mentions of depressive thoughts // fungal contamination and mentions of diseases (and quarantine) // none gender specific (neither the reader or the character mentioned have their gender assigned) // touch starving // victim blaming mentality.

In need of help [Yandere!Virus/Fungus x Reader - Short Fanfiction]:
They were laying in their bed, wondering what the hell was happening with their body. It's been a week since they started to feel this way, endless headaches, hot burning skin temperature yet a feeling of always being cold dominated them, as if they were naked in the middle of a blizzard.
One day they started feeling dizzy while they were at work, so their boss has told them to go back home and rest, and they haven't gone back to their jobs in a full week because of some random sickness they got!
That's what they thought back then, they thought that this was all just a little flu that had ruined their days, but no, it turned out to be something completely more different than that.
They have heard about some sort of disease outbreak happening in their town, something that was still fairly new and mysterious to even the highest of doctors and world leaders. It was so sudden, out of nowhere people started to show symptoms of some sort of new illness, something that develops slowly yet quietly.
The contaminated would feel all that they were feeling right now, if not worse, since a lot of contaminated have shown some weird aggressive behavior randomly. Those that were contaminated were told to limit their contact with other people, some were privileged enough to be able to stay in hospitals receiving professional care, but they couldn't do that, they didn't want to believe that they were contaminated by some stupid looking fungus.
They just⊠Really, really didn't want to see a doctor, even if the symptoms are getting worse and worse, something forced them to keep their mouth shut. They didn't want to go to a hospital, they didn't want any doctors or scientists experimenting on them, they didn't want to be trapped inside that pearly white hell.
They heard rumours about servers experiments being done inside each hospital available, which caused the contaminated to get even more desperate to get out of there.
The thing is, no one knows if the contaminated were the ones who had decided that they didn't want to stay there, or if something else was dictating that decision.
Apparently, the cause of such distress was a little mushroom species that have only been discovered after the first incident happened. An incident where the first contaminated to fully develop the parasite had attacked someone in the streets (well, allegedly attacked, since there is no proof of the guy actually hurting someone, but it doesn't matter now since he was eliminated before he could attack someone). After that the contamination had spread wildly, it was as if the existence of such a dangerous thing had just been announced and out of nowhere, the damn thing had taken a hold of people's lives.
In one second everything was fine, and then in the next they were stuck at home, feeling hopeless. At least they don't have to be the lab rat of some crazy doctor and scientist. Until now, it has been pretty easy to hide the fact they were contaminated, key words being "until now", guess what happened?
"- Fucking- itchy fungus." They yelled as they continued to scratch their itchy arms, there were visible pink and red blotches around them, and on top of that they were now hurting because of how much force they were using on their itchy arms.
They have learned that it takes too many weeks for it to develop marks around the contaminated bodies, and that the mushrooms spread and thrive in cold habitats.
And guess who was the idiot that has come back from hiking in a snowy forest about two weeks ago? Yeah that 's right! This imbecile right here!
"- Ugh, what the hell do you want from me?" It's been three days since they started talking with the fungus growing inside them, since they noticed that indeed, the fucking thing comprehends human communication somehow.
Or maybe they were just insane.
This was basically an everyday routine, the mushroom would get agitated, they would ask it what it wanted, and in a brilliant moment of concentration they would remember exactly what the mushroom wanted.
"- Pizza again? Come on, you're going to make me spend all of my savings on some lackluster pizza?" They said while looking at their colorful arms, they needed to cover them if they wanted to see anyone else soon.
You see, ever since they started to stay inside their house to not spread the contamination, they have been ordering pizza at a very terrible place that sold only the most boring pizza they could have ever eaten. No flavor at a cheap prize!
It seemed like the stupid fungus had taken a liking to the terrible taste of nothingness, so they had decided to obliged with the fungus wishes.
"- Stupid parasite, you're lucky I can't beat you for making me waste so much in daily deliveries." They continued to be grumpy about it as they put some clothes on, normally they love to spend their time alone naked, and apparently the fungus also agreed with the decision. What? It's their apartment, they can be naked if they want.
They took their phone and typed the number to the pizzeria, well, at least they never take too long to deliver their mediocre pizza.
"- Hi, it's Anthony's Pizzeria, how can I help you?" They heard a familiar voice come from the other side of the call.
Oh.
"- What-!" They yelped, almost causing the call to accidentally end right there and then.
It's you, it's your voice! They know it it's, they are sure of it!
"- ⊠Uhn, hey, are you okay-"
"- I'm f-fine, sorry!" They have interrupted your question, they were so caught up about your voice that they forgot to order the pizza.
Oh but your voice! Your voice was so different in the call than in real life, it's so⊠Interesting! Yeah, that's surely the word they were looking for!
They have called so many times yet this was the first time you were the one to pick up! They guess that because of the contamination and quarantine stuff going on, they were low on staff and you were the one receiving the orders.
After all, you were the only person that worked there that would deliver their pizza every single time. It became such a normal thing that you two even know each other's names!
[Y/N], it's such a beautiful name, it fits the owner. Although they think you're pretty unlucky to have to work at a terrible place and also do deliveries to an unwelcoming neighborhood.
That's the reason why you're the one to always bring their pizza, it's because you're the only worker that they are willing to risk in such a terrible place. Fortunately, their only client around this area is them.
When they were about to finish their order, they asked if you were the one that was going to bring the pizza.
"- Yeah, it is me. You know, low on staff and all, why do you ask?" You ask them with that welcoming voice of yours. A hint of happiness graced your tone, you were happy that it was them ordering again.
Although you still think that their obsession with mediocre pizza is a little concerning, you ended up forming some sort of friendship with them. An odd one for sure, but you're still happy about it.
When you first met them, they would always give you some really scary vibes. They were so, well, cold and closed off. Never smiling, never giving tips, always in a terrible mood, etc.
But recently, they started to treat you with so much respect, even joking about your job with you. The first time you saw them smile, you thought you were seeing a completely different person.
You're still glad you found this new version of them. They look happier and you felt good for them. Maybe they have found their own happiness.
To hear your confirmation was the most exciting thing they could have heard all day! They were sulking in this disgusting room all day, yet hearing that you're coming makes them feel alive!
They can't even hide their excitement, you can hear them being happy and giggly over the idea of you coming over. Even if technically you're only coming there to deliver them their order and all.
When the call ends, they soon are brought back to reality. When they were talking to you, they felt like they were in the best place on Earth, yet when they looked around their apartment they could only observe the clues of a disgusting creature living in this dirty ass place without ever cleaning it, not even once.
It's a depressing sight, yet they have learned to deal with it. It was normal for them to be lazy and an absolute pig, although they are aware that even pigs are a lot cleaner than them.
They should at least take a shower before you come in.
And just as the idea of you being anywhere near them came into their mind, their personality had switched again, from a grumpy depressed loser to⊠toâŠ
To whatever the hell they are right now!
Seriously, they were feeling like shit all day, yet at the moment the opportunity to see you comes up, they feel like their day it's already 100 times better!
They feel their heart pounding at an incredible passing, the water of the shower hitting their skin helping their temperature to cook down. They don't even feel so cold anymore, they feel- Powerful!
They feel better than the last time they saw you, which was yesterday, so it doesn't even make sense for them to miss your presence the way that they do, but still!
Apparently even the fungus seemed to be happier about this situation, as their arms weren't itchy at all and the headache they were feeling seemed to have stopped.
They thought the thing was only awaiting its meal, as all living creatures do when faced with the opportunity to get food without any efforts put into it.
It was as if the motive to actually fix a little bit of this place had suddenly appeared at the mention of your arrival! It was uncommon for them to do such a thing, even for a guest, and their neighbors can testify.
Not that they would want to be involved in their life either way, their neighbors know how unpleasant they can be, even to those that live near them.
To think your presence has such an impact on them and their life, even though they never experienced anything like this before, their sudden change in mood never really crossed their minds as being bad or unconventional. It just⊠Happens.
And- It doesn't feel bad at all.
Maybe this lonely loser is finally understanding the importance of healthy social interactions! Good for them?!
After getting out of the shower and putting their clothes back on, they straight up jump out of the bathroom to complete their next task, which was making their apartment seem a little more *pleasant", at least for someone that was looking at it from the other side of their door.
But before they could do much, their apartment bell rang and you called them from the other side of the door. You did something, however, that would soon be proven to be a bad decision.
You have decided to call them by their name instead of the usual "your pizza is here" or whatever the hell you used to scream so the customers could hear. You thought that you had spent enough time with them to be able to use their name in a friendly manner, which was nothing wrong with that, dearest! Is just that-
They haven't been able to hear people say their name in such a friendly way in a long, long time. It's both refreshing and terrifying how they craved that form of attention.
And what is just as terrifying is how fast they throw their body towards the door, like a desperate addicted trying to reach their dose of dopamine. But that comparison it's absurd, right? It has nothing to do with the current situation.
Oh no, wait-
"- [Y-Y/N]!? You came in e-earlier than I thought! How is everything going??" They would welcome you in, but the truth is that they haven't been able to finish all of the cleaning. Basically, they took all of the garbage that was in front of the door's view and put it deeper in their apartment.
Just like sweeping dirt under the rug, you were only able to see a moderately good looking apartment behind them, yet in reality, all of the dirty dishes and clothes that were previously laying around there, were now shoved under some tables in a desperate need to impress you.
Even if a little bit.
Because of how suddenly they opened the door and came into view, you got yourself a little spooked by the taller figure in front of you. They always looked pretty scary in your eyes, yet recently you started to notice that they have a softer side.
You can't help but associate them with big scary dogs, you guess that they only put some sort of facade to keep themselves appearing to be tough and strong and "scary". You can't lie that they got you pretty good the first time you met.
You answer them, telling how hard it has been to work in an awful pizzeria while the world is burning and a weird disease suddenly has been discovered out of nowhere. They tried their best to continue the small talk, yet it seemed like they didn't need to do much because soon enough you were babbling about your life.
They loved it, you were always so talkative, even to a complete stranger. They wanted to pay close attention to you and what you were saying yet they simply couldn't! Your presence was so overbearingly sweet that they thought they would have a heart attack!
I'm being serious though, their heart started to accelerate out of nowhere and a weird feeling started to arise inside their hearts. They felt so weird and uncomfortable because of the sudden sensations yet- It felt so good in a way.
They felt alive for once, they felt- They felt like they were capable of anything!
Yet they still felt like they needed something more than just⊠This, whatever the hell is giving them such a wonderful feeling. Could it really be you, the cause of such wonderful emotions to bloom?
Your skin looked so soft, your smile was so gentle even when you were focused on giving them their order, you looked like you cared for them so much that when you noticed their odd behavior you put your hand in their shoulder.
This one, simple little contact managed to get a hold of them and their thoughts, their breathing now way faster and frantic than before.
How long have they been without a human touch? They are pretty sure it wasn't long, yet they still feel⊠Shamefully needy.
They can't tell what's worse, trying to convince you that they were okay, or trying to convince themselves to not do something stupid. They didn't know what it was, but there was a suspicious feeling crawling up their spine, the feeling that if they didn't control themselves something bad could happen.
They lied of course, saying they were just- Dizzy and a little tired, that they were doing everything on auto pilot, and even if you end up believing them, the moment you take your hand away us the moment they regret not giving in to whatever odd urge they were having a couple of seconds ago.
You were soon about to leave, they didn't even notice that they were holding the pizza box and almost let it fall from their loose grip.
"- H-Hey, wait! [Y/N] I-" they sounded absolutely pathetic, they sounded desperate for your attention but at least it seemed like you didn't mind or simply didn't notice their tone of voice.
You were causing so much frustration yet you remained oblivious to their suffering.
"- Do you⊠Perhaps, want to hangout later? I-If you're not busy, of courseâŠ." They sounded like a teenager who just confessed their crush on someone, well, if they were trying in that situation, normally the other person would at least be aware of their feelings.
But no, of course they aren't and of course you only see their offer as a way to call you for a friendly date.
People sweet and naive like you used to get on their nerves, they used to ignore your type of person yet-
Here they are! Being pathetic and stuttering, the only good thing to come out of this interaction was that you accepted their offer.
At least you're kind enough to accept to meet this poor thing again in a more private scenario. Not in your daily "customer and worker" type of interaction.
And as your form goes away at each step you take, the intrusive thoughts start to come in again. Those thoughts, those pains from earlier, everything was starting to get back.
It really does seem like you're the cause for their problems. Their headaches, their low self-esteem thoughts, the stupid fungus itching their skin, all of that was your fault⊠Somehow.
In someway or another you were the one that would always show up in their dreams, in their intrusive thoughts. They closed the door to their apartment while slowly placing the pizza on their coffee table, since now their mind was starting to come up with the solution to their daily pains.
This is not about pizza, this is about you! About how you consume their mind, even when you aren't present.
Although, every time you're near them, they feel so much better, like all of their issues have gone away.
That 's it! You're not only the source of their problems, but also the solution! Oh, that 's perfect! They know exactly what they need to do to make sure you cure them.
Yeah⊠YEAH! YES! They won't need to suffer every day waiting for the next time to see you, they can simply have you by their side, right??!
Please, please tell them, please tell this mad person that you'll cure them of the same thing you contaminated them with!!
Please⊠They feel so, so cold and lonely. Their only company is a parasite who seems to agree with this person's mad, delusional thoughts.

Swap Zim and Dib decide to work together. Technically a direct sequel to this thing that was posted a year and a half ago. Like, comments, and reblogs all super appreciated!
Wordcount: 1800
Warnings: Mentions of Dib experimenting on people, I guess?
Zim woke up strapped to a lab table that smelled so strongly of blood that he almost threw up. (Which was quite an accomplishment, considering it wasnât like Zim was a stranger to animal test subjects, or even getting himself injured.) It took him a few seconds to remember why he was strapped to a bloody lab table, but hearing the familiar voice frantically muttering next to him helped.
âCome on, I need to kill him, but itâs Zim, I like Zim, I donât want to kill him, but heâs a threat to the mission, I canât upset my Tallest or the Professor, but maybe I could just wipe his memory...â
That voice was Dib. Dib, the stalker who had turned out to be a real live alien. Dib, the kid (was he a kid?) who must have strapped him to a table.
_____
It had started out pretty easy- heâd already known where Dib lived from the one time Dib had dragged him there when theyâd both gotten caught in an explosion and heâd wanted to help patch Zim up. All Zim had to do was use a taser to short out the electric fence and some hacking to get in the front door once he found the security frequency they were using.
It was childâs play, although it wasnât like it would be easy for anybody else. Zim was special. He was always special, always better than everyone else. Dib had seen that. As annoying as he got at times, Zim was glad that at least he was annoying because he liked Zim.
However, things had started to go south as soon as he got inside the front door. There was a chubby little pig perched right next to it, and it sniffed at him before its eyes lit up bright red.
âSTATE YOUR BUSINESS.â
âYou talk?â It looked like a regular pig to him, usually talking animals were a lot clunkier and more robotic-looking.
âIRRELEVANT. STATE YOUR BUSINESS, HUMAN.â
âSeeing Dib.â
âNONE MAY PASS.â The pig jolted up on two legs, and Zim noticed a small zipper on its belly only moments before the pig grasped at it, yanking it down and ripping off its- costume? It didnât look like any fabric Zim had ever seen- to reveal a silvery robot with burning red eyes. A dozen weapons, mostly guns and knives, popped out from its head, and Zim couldnât bite back a yelp as he fumbled in his backpack for his own laser gun.
âI know how to use this thing, you know!â
âANY THREAT TO THE MISSION AND TO MASTER GAZ MUST BE ELIMINATED.âÂ
Zim squeezed the trigger, but the robot- okay, it moved way too fast for a robot that size, Zimâs tended to blow up if they tried any fancy acrobatics, but this one flipped out of the way, his laser blasting a hole in the wallpaper instead.Â
He took half a second to breathe before squeezing the trigger again and swinging it around, burning a line through the wall and couch before hitting the robot and getting a metallic shriek out of it as it lunged for him, pinning him down by the shoulders and making him drop his laser.
âELIMINATED. ELIMINATED. ELMINATED.â
âRelease Zim!â Zim kicked up and heard a metallic crack before he rolled to the side, thankful for those self-defense classes heâd taken as the robot plunged about fifteen knives into the spot where his head had been half a second ago. The red eyes narrowed at him before activating rockets in its feet, and Zim ducked as it swung with a giant mallet from its head. He dropped to the floor, fumbling for the laser and swinging it around to take another shot at the thing.Â
The gun managed to blast one of the arms off, but that sure as hell made it mad considering he didnât have time to dodge the second swing of the mallet. He saw stars for half a second before there was nothing at all.
_____
âDib,â Zim croaked, head feeling rather like it was full of rats that had thrown a dance party inside his skull and left a mess all over the cerebral cortex.Â
âBut this is a perfect opportunity for some experiments, you wanted that, didnât you Dib- huh?â Dib looked up from muttering to himself.
Or rather, the alien did. It was still wearing Dibâs trademark goggles that looked heavy enough to weigh his head down with lenses too dark to see anything underneath, but its skin was an even darker shade of green, and it had a pair of twitchy antennae. No nose, no ears, and it had donned a full-on labcoat that was soaked in a whole lot of red and black stains. Heâd always kind of figured aliens were real somewhere out there, but seeing it... it was like reality had tilted a little to the left. There were more pressing matters than a crisis about aliens existing anyhow, and Zim was pretty good at repressing things he didnât like.
It sounded like Dib, though, and the way it fussed with its hands was the same with two fingers and one thumb on each, same as Dib. âMachine accidentâ, his ass.Â
âYouâre awake?â
âY-yes, Iâm awake. Could you let me go?â His voice came out sickly-sweet and polite, like he was talking to the counselor again to convince her that he was fine.
Dib-alien shook his head. âIâm afraid not. I really would like to, but you know too much. Protocol is pretty clear- dispose of or brainwash all witnesses when the planet is marked for conquest. But brainwashing knocks out a lot of the intelligence, and that would be such a waste, wouldnât it?â
âYes, yes it would,â Zim agreed. âSo let me off with a warning?â
Dib folded his arms. âNope. But the fact that you actually held your own against a SIR unit for a full minute as a smeet- and one that I modified to be extra aggressive- just tells me that youâre still useful as a specimen.â
âHey, Iâm not a- a- smeeb!â
âSmeet, child, baby, whatever term it is you humans use.â Dib waved a dismissive hand, stalking closer and looming over Zim. His eyes were a deep, electric blue like an unsucked sour candy, and Zim squirmed under the restraints. âThat table is where most of my previous experiments died, and I donât want you to just be number thirty-six, you know?â
âThirty-six? Thirty-six what?â
âOh, this and that. Humans are good for experiments, theyâre very determined to survive so you donât have to use as many.â
âWell, so is Zim.â Zim tried to twist away, but something metallic erupted from Dibâs backpack like a dozen sharp insectoid legs, propelling him up onto the lab table before he dropped directly on Zimâs chest, driving the wind out of him.
âIâm well aware. Youâre already a survivor, arenât you?â He ticked off on his fingers, alien butt shifting on top of Zim a bit to get comfortable. âBarely any parental supervision, yet you create machines and work on biological experiments that are beyond the capability of most humans three times your age. You almost get blown up often and yet walk away from it. Youâre an anomaly.â Dib leaned closer, and Zim could taste the sugar on his breath. âI like anomalies.â
Zim attempted to buck Dib off to no avail as he continued. âFind the exception and youâll have found the thing of most interest, the thing that makes or breaks a species. The outlier the proves the rule, and youâre a human that behaves like an irken, showing just how far ahead of the rest of your species you are. According to my research, theyâre going to burn when Gaz decides what to do with this place if they donât destroy each other before she gets around to it, but I just might keep you as a pet.â
âZim is no pet!â Even with little oxygen left in his lungs, Zim shouted, snarling up at Dib with his lip curled. âEarth may be terrible, but itâs mine, so back off!â
âOh? So you agree that Earth is terrible?â Dib tilted his head to the side, one of those long antennae twitching, and Zim narrowed his eyes.
âYouâre not very good at research, are you? Of course it is! But itâs mine, and I donât want any buggy alien getting his sticky hands all over it!â
âItâs not exactly up to me,â Dib replied, hearing the wheeze in Zimâs voice and sliding off his chest to the table itself, and Zim sucked in a deep breath, feeling the air reinflate his squashed lungs. âGaz is the one whoâs actually invading, Iâm just here to study the planet in case thereâs anything useful. Youâre a pre-contact planet, or at least thatâs whatâs logged, so this place is a treasure trove of undiscovered species. Iâm trying to convince Gaz to at least set up a preserve so I can study some of them once sheâs done with the invasion.â
âAre you even listening to me? I told you to bug off! Leave me and Earth alone!â
âIâm listening, but I told you, itâs not my call. Even if it was... you said it yourself, Earth is terrible. It would be far more useful to the Empire as a sugar-harvesting operation, or a zoo, or something else. Humans donât really deserve to be in charge, theyâre just going to blow themselves up eventually.â Dib shrugged.
âIf I was in charge, you wouldnât say that,â Zim muttered, and Dibâs antenna twitched again.
âWhat did you say?â
âI said, if I was in charge, you wouldnât say that. I bet if everybody listened to me, youâd take that back. Iâm a human and I know I could fix everything.â
Dib stared at him for a solid ten seconds, and Zim wasnât sure he hadnât spontaneously kicked the bucket. Did aliens do that? âYouâre a genius. Youâre a genius!âÂ
âOf course I am, but why?â
Dib smacked his hands on Zimâs cheeks, squishing his mouth in like a goldfish. âOf course, how didnât I see it before? Your potential is stifled by the fact that you only have access to tools that you create, but if we worked together, you could help us because you have intimate knowledge of humanity, and I could help you by giving you limited access to my technology! We could be lab partners- I wouldnât have to kill you, and you can help reshape your species for a better future!â
Zim blinked. âDoes this mean you arenât going to do horrible experiments on me?â
âI canât promise that, but Iâm not going to kill you right now.â
âGood enough for me!â Zim tried to shake Dibâs hand, before realizing that he was still restrained to the table. Dib leaned over, hitting a button just next to Zimâs head, and the restraints popped off. Zim rubbed his wrists for a moment as he sat up, mind still whirling.
This was a chance to fix everything, to make things the way that they should be.
âSo, you wonât kill all humans, and youâll give me access to cool tech.â
âIâll consider your input on that, and Iâll give you access to cool tech.â Dib nodded, taking Zimâs hand, and a slow grin spread across Zimâs face.
âThen lead the way, Dib-thing.â

Freedom
âBruce! I'm back!â You yell as you push the door closed with your back, carrying the two bags from the supermarket. Alfred is driving the car to the garage. Today was the fourth time you went out all by yourself. Alfred has to drive since you still can't take your license, but you feel like you're doing well. He stays in the car while you buy the stuff you want, and it's actually good to be out there, with the people. âI met this sweet lady on the line and she was so cute. She told me about her grandson who's starting in the kinder garden this year.â You follow the sound of his voice coming from the living room, leaving the bags on the table at the main hall and making your way there. âSheââ
The words get stuck on your throat when you see he's not alone. Amanda Waller and the other five people responsible for Belle Reve are here. You're frozen, busted because you don't know if they should know about all the freedom you're having. You look at Bruce, searching for any signs of what to do. His expression is calm, light, and he reaches out his hand. âCome here, sweetheart.â He says, and you take a few seconds to find your legs, making your way over him, taking his hand, noticing how yours are shaking.
âIs everything alright?â You whisper to him.
âI see Havoc is already allowed out. And apparently without your supervision.â One of the men speaks, his angry eyes on you. This one wants you back in your cell, being beaten up.
âShe is. (Y/N) is adapting wonderfully well.â Bruce says. âThis is not the first time she goes out without me, and there hasn't been any kind of incident.â
âI couldn't help but notice you engaged in a romantic relationship with her,â Amanda states, reading something on her tablet. âThe rest of the world didn't recognize her, but we did. You've been seen with her in... Three different galas.â
âI'm well aware of the contract we both signed, Amanda. I made it. And a romantic relationship wasn't mentioned, which means it wasn't forbidden.â You hold tight on his arm as he speaks. âAnd yes, I've been to some parties with her, I believe you saw us on the news.â
âI don't need you to tell me about the contract, Bruce. I read it. And honestly, I couldn't care less about who you want to put in your bed.â She mumbles, typing something down. âLet's make it quick, Bruce. We're here for a reason, but Havoc isn't the only criminal we have to deal with.â
âHer name is (Y/N). And soon enough you won't have to deal with her anymore.â Bruce turns to you, placing a kiss on your lips. âI need you to wait upstairs, my love. You can't be present while we discuss this.â
Nodding, you give them one last look before walking away.
But you can't go to your room. You're too scared now. What if you lose what you have here? Your life with Bruce... If you're thrown back in Belle Reve... You can't handle it anymore, you'll die. Inside first, until your body gives up. So you move downstairs, a few steps so the wall is hiding you, sitting down and paying attention, trying to bring sense to their words.
âMr. Wayne, eight months ago you took in one of Belle Reve's intern, (Y/N) Quinzel, also known as Havoc, to test a project of your creation. In which you tried to rehabilitate her, so that she could have a life out of her criminal actions, being able to be fully reintroduced into life in society.â The man speaks slow, and by the looks of it, they must be recording it. âDo you believe your project succeded?â
âYes.â Bruce answers.
âDo you believe (Y/N) could be released to live among other people without causing any kind of harm, stealing, killing, torturing, or any other dangerous behavior?â
âYes.â
âAre you aware that the condition for her release is you being completely responsible for her actions from now on?â
âYes, I am.â
âIt will be like a damn marriage, Wayne.â Someone says, and your heart stops. âAnything she does, she steals a freaking pencil, you'll have to answer for it. You'll be bound for life.â
âGood,â Bruce mumbles, and you hear some laughs.
âFor goodness sake, Wayne. I get that you want to have fun with her. The girl is insane but pretty, I'm not blind. Butââ
âI'm not having fun with her. And you will watch your tongue before talking about (Y/N) again.â A smile comes to your lips, and you cover your mouth with a hand. Every passing day you're more and more sure that Bruce is going serious with you. That he has a goal with your relationship, but it still warms your heart when he says something like that.
âWhatever you want, Bruce Wayne,â Amanda mutters. âI will need you to sign here. And your fingerprints.â
A silence falls, and everything you hear is your heartbeat. Bruce told you he was starting the last procedures to set you free once and for all, but you didn't think it would happen so fast. Guess he did had everything under control after all.
Your mind suddenly floats back to when you first got here, when you tried to run, when you attacked him so brutally. Back then, on the first days, you never thought you'd fall for him. And it took a while for you to even allow yourself to. Bruce, being Batman, the hero, could never have feelings for you. And it's true that the signs where there, when he touched you, or when he went to your room to dance with you, leaving the party behind... But you were so scared back then... That you'd have your heart broken for the very first time.
But it had a happy ending. An ending you know you don't deserve. You want to be with Bruce, you want the life you have now, to go to college next month, study and become a nurse. Find a job and... The rest you don't know. But you know it'll be good.
âGo get the girl. I need her fingerprints too.â Amanda speaks up.
You hear his footsteps as they grow closer. You stand up when you see him on the bottom of the stairs, waiting until he reaches you.
âDid you hear it?â
You nod, letting yourself fall into his embrace when he opens his arms. âI don't want to see any of them ever again.â
âYou won't, I promise.â
âBruce... A-are you sure you'll sign that thing? I heard what they said.â
âHey...â He pulls away, just enough to look into your eyes. âI already signed and I don't regret it. This is the last step, (Y/N), don't let them get to your head.â
âOkay,â you mumble, tiptoeing to kiss him.
Bruce guides you back to the living room, and you try to keep your head up, fearless.
âHavoc. Put both your hands here.â Amanda says, her voice filled with anger and disgust. She doesn't want to release you, but she has no choice. Nodding, you place both hands on her tablet. You watch as the screen reads all your ten fingerprints, and your picture appears on the top. Then, a green X covers it, blinking, and then everything is gone. And now, with your hand still on it, the screen shows up a few dots, and the word âsearchingâ. âIt's done, Havoc. But don't you ever come back under my jurisdiction again... I won't give you any other chance. Even if another Kryptonian comes from the sky demanding for it.â
â(Y/N).â you simply say, stepping back until you're by Bruce's side.
âOf course.â She mutters. âWell, I believe this is it. Mr. Wayne, I believe we're done here.â
âYou may now kiss the bride, Wayne.â A man says, and two others laugh with him. You sink a little, stepping back, letting Bruce's shoulder hide you.
âYou won't get an invitation Mr. Rochford, but I'm sure you'll know about it on the news,â Bruce says and the men immediately shut up. âI must ask you to leave now. Our business is over. For good.â
âI wish you luck, Mr. Wayne.â Amanda Waller reaches out her hand and Bruce shakes it.
You stand there, watching them leave. It's ridiculous, but you feel like your chains are falling off. All the terror, the infinite days and neverending nights in that hell are over. You still don't like thinking about it, and remembering is painful, but you're glad that's what it is now: a memory. A distant, faded memory. Some scars will accompany you for the rest of your life, even though Bruce has you under some esthetic treatments to get rid of most of them. But you're ok with that, with the ones that will stick around. They'll be a different kind of badge now, a prove that you crawled out of that nightmare, and despite needing a little push, you did some of the work too.
âWhy are you crying, my love?â Bruce asks when he comes back, but you haven't noticed the tears rolling down.
âIt's nothing, I just... I'm happy. Truly, wholeheartedly happy, I...â He pulls you into his arms, holding you tight. âI love you so damn much, Bruce, but... I guess I love me too. Who I am now, who I want to become.â
âWhatever happens now, (Y/N), it's up to us. To you. You can make your own decisions, and I'll be here to support you.â
âI know, babe.â Pulling away, you jump up, wrapping your legs around his waist. âLife starts now, and... I want you in it.â
âMe too, sweetheart. That's why I had no trouble sighing that contract.â His eyes get darker, and you furrow your eyebrows.
âWhat is it, Bruce?â He's dead serious, bouncing you up to have a better grip.
âMarry me.â
Your heart stops, as the answer slides down your tongue. Enough with the nightmares. This life is way better than any dream you couldbever have.
