saw this on twitter and it may be deleted now but it really is exactly what annoys me about online/fandom spaces these days especially tiktok. there's a huge lack of sincerity, respect and understanding + it must be so so exhausting for artists to put out art and it just be always met with irony and insensitive jokes. like especially with ethel cain, not to be like i knew her before everyone but i have been loving her music since 2021 and so seeing her 'blowing up' on tiktok and people behave so weirdly has been so strange

I genuinely think so many people have forgotten the fact of "there are no toxic fandoms, only toxic people".

When fandoms get big, of course the amount of people u want nothing to do with is also gonna get bigger.

Youre not meant to combat them. Youre not meant to talk about them and expose others to them.

one linguistic difference between here and irl is irl 'dog' is one of my most used words . i call everything and everyone 'dog' while hanging out with lamp . but i dont do it on here bc i think it looks silly when i type it

Id like to say thank you to people who have been nice to me for the past day , i still feel a bit bad if ive made anyone forced into supporting my side ;;

Im trying to think a little more critically here now bc ive taken my meds and i dont know why id feel guilty for someone who was already being pushy and rude on my moots as well as never properly addressing their ableism regarding their schizophrenic hc of a character and calling him crazy + considering him demented ? Its not in good taste

Id like for people to know its not really a good taste thing in general to ignore critique of your own actions from someone trying to help you with that, even if it really hurts ,,, sometimes you need to step down for a bit from social media and really think about your own actions

Check peoples boundaries, ask for consent on things, etc,, safety is the number one rule on the internet-- especially regarding its current state right now and how many mean people there are

Just be careful what you choose to post
