their coats end up being way thicker/shaggier than on someone who was smooth initially (to the point they end up looking like fuzzballs on legs) and there is far less variation in their coat colors + patterns. they ooze a lot more, too. behaviorally it may seem like they have a higher predisposition to being aggressive but its actually because they cant see shit and heightened senses make every unknown stimulus a lot scarier. some of it stems from pain like muscle and bone aches that normally go away in mammals that were initially smooth; they get lightheaded very easily and react badly to bright light as well
