i get critiquing plot holes and power differences/disadvantages and systemic things like sexism and sexualization/fetishization and racism in manga and stories in general, and i also understand loving your favorite character and wanting a certain outcome for them, but it's always a little bonkers to me that people geniuenly believe they could have come up with better endings or outcomes than the authors themselves... like i know people get attached to their favs and everything but manga and story telling is an artform and it's art that's created by a real life person who chooses to share their story with you there is no "better" ending that you could have come up with because you couldn't have come up with those characters in the first place! sure you think you could worm them around in better scenarios but even that is wishful thinking because you couldn't have, wouldn't have, and didn't come up with the world and scenes around them to navigate them in canon in the first place! idk i get wishful thinking and hopes and cracking jokes and fix-it fics and ships all that but sometimes i feel like people need to be humble and take a step back lol.... it's not your story and there's nothing for you to change, much less publicly scream about how the author fucked up just bc your favorite character didnt end up how you wanted them to.... and if u feel that strongly just like... do it in your own little online or irl community lol there's no need to scream on the internet every 3 months about how u think the mangaka who gave u the character u love so much is a piss poor artist

The colors of the copper on blackberry dye seem to have shifted from maroon to a very rich milk chocolate brown--which I will hardly complain about, since that's a hard brown to get. I do hope I get something more permanently reddish/purplish with alum--that's what I'll try next. I'm just waiting for the 9 pounds of raw fleece to arrive.

Last night I carded a lot of that blackberry dyed fleece and then put it on the blending board with about half of the white (which was the previous distaff dressing) as a little stripe to one side. Idk, just curious how it'll turn out and seemed more interesting to spin that way. Carding first definitely helps with consistency--both colors were willowed first and put on the blending board, but only the brown was carded as well, and it is much easier to keep smooth and least kind of even.

The one improvement of this phone camera over my old one is that it has a timer setting, so I can actually show where my hands normally are (sometimes anyway). Fairly comfortable although my distaff hand is starting to cramp. Might just be one of those days or might be too heavy for me, but the shape at least is good.

You can probably see that the white is still all over the place, but the brown is pretty even, just with lumps still on occasion. Also, the new height of this spindle means it's perfect for lap spinning rather than impossible to lap spin with, so I'm very happy about that.

Truly honestly feel so bad for Oliver because he had genuinely been so excited to have this bisexual storyline and had wanted to do it justice but all the scenes they've written for him so far has been fucking weird and just fuel for gross fetishists. Today's scene and cringey joke was truly the icing on the shitty cake. It literally went from one of the best moments ever to y'all might as well not have done shit actually :/

8. Hmm… I can’t think of any right now… I’m sure there was some changes made but if I’m honest I started working on Unlikely Friend a year or two ago so I don’t really remember lol

9. I want to write a Marluxia and Larxene fic about their time in the Organization pre-CoM because I have so many thoughts, but right now it’s just a bunch of notes in a Google Doc.

Them getting picked up by Xigbar, meeting up and leaning on each other (and feeding into eachother’s negativity), plotting their coup, trying to get Naminé to restore their memories, and a bunch of things tying into KHUX. But really that little synopsis there is all I have so far.

Really would like to write it eventually tho… but I should finish some more of what I’ve started first lol

I feel compelled to note that I have not given up on Louder Than Love and will not be until it is good and finished. I just needed to step back and get a little perspective for a bit. Write some other things. Read again. You know how it goes. Coming back refreshed in the near future.

But yeah no it has not escaped my notice that we're creeping up on a year since my last actual update (rather than just me writing and rewriting a chapter 80 million times.) I hate that lol. But yeah if I give up I'll flat out say so, trust me.
