I wrote the first part to a Marvel AU fan fic idea that's been living in my head for a few weeks now and I'm trying to decide if I should post it or not

the idea mostly focuses on Spider-Man and Daredevil, though some other Marvel characters are important to the storyline (Harry Osborn, Black Cat, Kingpin, etc.). essentially, the idea builds on the concept of Wilson Fisk becoming mayor of New York and working to eradicate vigilantes.

my main hold up is that I wrote this with an OC instead of as a reader insert and so I'm not sure if you guys would even really like that, y'know?

anyways, I'm just rambling for the sake of rambling. if anyone has any opinions on OC fan fics and what not, I'd love to hear them!

I seriously need to play Honkai impact 3rd. Cause Welt is from that universe, and I'd love for a reader to also be from their and meet the astral express during the Xiaofu arc or penacony. If you wanna do this as a prompy, the reader is a close friend of Welts, basically a platonic life partner and gremlinfriend, and well reader went missing in the Honkai impact world and they suddenly get reunited with Welt. It's BFF reunion time!!! Also, I'd love if the reader was basically like an adult March/Stelle mix personality wise. It's why Welt is so used to handling the type of stuff they both say and do

- He may have missed you at first, but the moment you called out and he turned towards your direction, he knew. From the unique tone of your voice to the way your eyes widen—first in awestruck recognition, then in joy at the sight of him—everything just screams you. Not an alternative reality version of you, actually you. The one who made goofy jokes all the time, yet got serious when deadlines rolled close and he needed an assistant. The one who pulled all-nighters with him, even if the rest of the team had gone home hours ago. - Stoic as he often is, even he sheds some tears at the situation. Having you back unlocks parts of himself that he'd had to bury, simply due to the nature of having nobody to share them with. Prepare for him to use his mimicking powers to recreate the first show your studio released, excitedly going frame by frame with you. His nerdy nature really creeps out of the shadows here.

- Seeing you two together, the rest of the Astral Express start catching glimpses of what his younger self must've been like. It's strange, really. With your energy and penchant for innocent mischief, Welt should by all means get worn out and tired of it all. And yet, a soft, warm glow exudes from him as he looks fondly at you talking, always giving you the time to ramble your heart out. Have they ever seen him smile this much before?

- Don't let his typical calm demeanor fool you. Especially after your disappearing act, his protective instincts toward you go into high gear, and no amount of reassurance will bring them down. He'd always worried about your safety even back in the day, offering to help you out at every chance he got. But now? If anyone's even just a tad too rowdy for his liking while he's walking with you somewhere, he'll instinctively place himself in between you two like a shield. Even if you try to convince him that you're alright and to tone it down, he's just... too scared of you leaving him again. So please stay safe, for his sake as well as yours.

What's the origin of your blog name? Is that just your username?

Nocturius is my artist-name since my edgy teenager years. As I still draw Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Steampunk/Horror, I think the name work fine for all that. I tried different things when i was at University but nothing really sticks. It's non-binary, it give a vibe. No one cares. I use Nocturius or Noctaël in most of my online presence.

For 8015Ficore, it's pretty obvious. I've put the 8015 for RC-8015 ''Fi'' in the name to separate from Nocturius. I didn't want a letters salad. ''ficore'' for Fi-Core, which is my coresona on FB and Bluesky.

I hope that my blog name is clear enough it's about that dumb clone and also my artist name being clear for the out-of-character/artist talking, like now.

Well, I gonna combine those questions because I'm not a shipper. I don't speculate much about couple or potential couples in a story. I don't imagine them with different person than what's in the canon. It's not what drives me in writing fanfictions/drawing fanarts. I'm cool with people doing it tho. Each person their hobbies.

Favorite color

For a long time that was more of a green-leaves. Like this:

But nowadays it's more like teal or turquoise. Those rocks made my brain very happy, especially the greenish ones with some stripes of yellow.

Favorite game:

I would say Stardew Valley is a nice one, but I want to talk about a very underrated one on the NES. A Zelda-like game called Crystalis from 1990.

Ahh... I have many. Usually some Pokémon themes, Final Fantasy or Kirby.

Last song heard:

I had to find that song about Kirby so...

I would say I like that channel with chipmusic a lot. Not all tunes are good, but it's a great filler for when I draw. Ehmm, yeah, I'm a lot into videogame music. Music with lyrics distract me.

Weirdest habit/trait:

I have some minor form of pica disorder. That might be a offshoot of my general anxiety disorder or in the list of ''Am I autistic?'' traits. Not enough to cause me real problems but it's there. I'm a terrible nails/skins biter. I do other weird stuff that can go under the dermatophagia I won't elaborate here.

When I was in elementary school, I used to often eat paper, fibers, eraser bits and wood. Well, I actually eat a tiny bit of paper just the day before i wrote those words and I use toothpick way too often to say it's totally gone. 😅😰

If you work, what's your profession?

I don't really have a job for now. Mental health is complicated. But I draw and write stuff. Sometimes people support me on Patreon (in French) and Ko-fi (in English) or ask for Art Commission.

Hobbies:

As drawing and writing are kinda my career, I would say hobbies for me is watching shows, reading comics/books and very amateur needle work (knitting/crochet/cross-stiches)

If you could have any job you wish, what would it be?

I just wish I could have enough energy and mental health stability to do my things regularly. If I could draw/write at least 4h/day every day, I would be happy. But someday, the best thing I can do is a cheap meme and I had to learn to accept my limitations and be proud of those small achievements.

I used to collect books and comics for a while. Books of sci-fi/fantasy, animals and arts. I liked the idea of having a house filled with a personal library. But moving a lot as a student, flat to flat, made me reconsider my priorities. As I'm full on grown-up person lol, I decide to have a more curated one. Trying to ''KonMarie'' my collection with, still a lots of books, but less of the stuff I will never read. (often books people gave me). Sometimes I give the books that sparkle the less to my local  ''box library'' (public box where you can pick books or leave books)

Something you forget

I don't forget it often, but sometimes I forget to take my meds. It's just stuff for my thyroid but that make me feel weird when I skip it.

What's your love language

I'm a simple person. I like to care about people, making sure they are warm and cozy. Like with a blanket or a hot drink. Offering moral support. Since I created Fi-Core I realized how much I like to make people laugh and lift them up. My closest friends can only be reached online, so my love for them go through drawings and sharing pet pictures. I like to connect with people through art and sharing about life and feelings.

I love many animals. As a kid I was very fascinated by reptiles and snakes. Nowadays I'm happy with my two cats. I'm also an amateur beekeeper.

I was feisty and nerdy. Didn't get along with the girls as an afab and wasn't accepted by the boys. I was bullied a lot and barely had friends. I had imaginary ones to keep me company. Books and my drawings. I don't have much good memories from my childhood.

Favorite subject at school:

History and later, art history.

Last Favorite subject:

French and English. I'm proud to be bilingual today but it's all my own work. I had a hard time learning English, very hard. French is my main language but the grammar always felt like it make no sense till university where I got actual explanations on some of the stuff.

I don't know. I have the self-esteem of a shoe with a hole in it. I guess my sense of humor is probably in the top 5.

Way too much self-hatred I have to deal with daily.

If you could change any detail of your life right now, what would it be?

If I was able to have proper restful night, that would be very game changing.

No idea. I read many things as a kid, but before my teenager years I didn't have a favorite one. I remember I was mostly fascinated by my father's books, atlas, dinosaurs and natural science themed encyclopedia.

Bronya’s mountain of responsibilities is almost enough to distract her from the emptiness in her heart. Almost.

The second she dwells on it, her longing overtakes her like the dark pull of IX, urging her to forsake her duties and instead despair at the heartbreaking knowledge that you're out there, somewhere in the vastness of space, and not here with her.

But being the Supreme Guardian is hard work – it demands every second of her time and every ounce of her focus – so it works well enough as a distraction on most days. On others, she loses herself wondering; do you also look up at the night sky and think of her, long for her? Do you also wish you could somehow make your way to her just to hold her hand for a moment, to kiss her and embrace her just once? Just so she knows you still care?

To anyone else, Bronya is a stoic woman, especially while on duty. Focused, cold and methodical, never overlooking a detail or missing a deadline, but to you? To you, it'd only take one look to see how your absence tears her apart every time.

When waving you away, watching the Express take off beyond the atmosphere, a piece of her heart goes with you and a piece of yours stays by her side, even if you're both unaware.

One drowning in work – because despite how much Bronya wishes it weren't so, her people come first – the other pacing up and down the hall, wondering if leaving the express behind is truly the right call.

Though the simple thought of Bronya's face once she finds out what you've decided to do is enough to put your thundering heart at ease. Anything for that sweet, childlike happiness on the face of a woman forcibly hardened by all that's been thrust upon her since she was a little girl.

Hopefully she won't scold you too much for making such a decision without her knowledge or for making such a sacrifice in the name of her happiness. You know that between the two of you, her work is doubtlessly more pressing – your adventure can wait, or it can end here, you’re ready for either.

But the moment she greets you as you land, smile carefully restrained while yours is just shy of ecstatic, nothing can compare to the way her hands tremble, aching to hold you, or how she sighs in relief once you’re close enough to be real. The second you’re behind closed doors, you stick together like glue and when you tell her… when confusion morphs to hopefulness and the smile that comes after.

Hey!! So I made this dtiys to celebrate me getting 1k on Instagram but Ima post it here too for shits and giggles!!!

For those who don't know, Shinigami is one of the supporting characters from the game Raincode (it's the same vibe as danganronpa, and yeah Kodaka made this game too I think). Shinigami is a death god and her thing in the game is to create Mystery Labyrinths to help Yuma (the protag) solve cases (Mystery Labyrinths = Class Trials); she also collects the souls of the blackened/suspects

I personally do not really connect Shinigami with Izuru, although I can argue that he lowkey did cause some deaths to happen!! (that one mutual killing game that I forgot the name of. it's been years tf.) but for the sake of my sanity and vibes, I drew as Shinigami cuz I thought it was funny. haha!

I'm WELL aware that I lowkey went crazy with the colors, which is why I've attached a flat-color version + references for Shinizuru. Feel free to use whatever colors you'd like tho!

Three years have passed since he first came to Furin, three years since he knew this town that accepted him and that which he accepted as well in turn. Truth be told, he didn’t want to leave, but life does not stop at high school, apparently. Many of his friends have already decided where they’re heading after, but not him. He doesn’t think he could find another place that would accept him as Furin did.

For the first time, he feels the anxiety of leaving home.

“How about this,” Kotoha brings up a suggestion as she served him the omelet rice he ordered. Pothos has always seemed like a refuge whenever he had important thoughts to mull over. “Why not go to college somewhere near and with someone you’re familiar with?”

Suo and Nirei both plan to attend a university in one of the big cities; Sakura couldn’t imagine himself in such an environment, so even if he wanted to stick with his vice-captains and closest friends, the looming image of a busy city was enough to dissuade him.

“Are you staying here?”

“Yeah, there’s a junior college just across the forest park. I can keep running Pothos during my free time.”

“Then I can just—”

“Nope,” Kotoha stops him with a wry smile, “Sorry, Sakura, it’s an all-women’s junior college. Wait… you know, Ume didn’t want to be too far from Furin, so he’s attending some college an hour away from here. If it’s him, I don’t think you’ll miss Furin at all, yeah?”

Umemiya. He’s the reason why Furin came to be a place Sakura grew to love and protect. He’s also the main reason why Sakura learned to accept the people around him, with all those words of wisdom shared over meals and fists. It’s needless to say that Sakura’s feelings about Furin are all entwined with him.

His feelings…

Heat rushed from his neck to the tip of his ears.

All in all, he had spent one year in Umemiya’s presence, but within that short period of time, not only his life, but he himself had turned a complete one-eighty. Before coming to Furin, he had wanted to defeat the guy. Who knew that in a year, he’d be willing to lay his life on the line for that man?

Umemiya loves this town, so he made sure to visit regularly when he can. It’s almost like he never left during that first year after graduation, and he would regularly crash their group meals at Pothos. Nevertheless, Sakura found himself looking forward to those. But on their final year in high school, Umemiya had become too busy, and the regular visits to town became less and less. They would still message each other often, of course, especially when there are Bofurin matters that he absolutely needed some advice with and Nirei would finally convince him to ask their previous seniors’ input, but at some point, Sakura started to miss the guy.

He asked Kotoha back then what did it mean if he’s feeling that he’s missing someone’s presence too much.

Perhaps, it means you like them?

Sakura, you know what type of like I’m talking about.

Kotoha has always had the knack to decipher his feelings, so it was no surprise that she also understood what and who he was talking about. And like before, she takes the cue and pulls up the phone from her pocket, typing away, “I’ll tell him to message you about admission procedures, the deadline should be coming up soon.”

“…I don’t wanna bother him anymore.”

 “I get the feeling that you won’t be a bother, Sakura,” Kotoha smiles, “You do know he likes you back, right?”

It was two years ago during summer, one of Umemiya’s last visits to town before he became too busy. He had asked to talk to him in private after the usual hangouts at Pothos. Sakura had thought that there was a very crucial matter about Bofurin that they had to discuss outside the earshot of even those who were close to them.

Then he dropped the bomb, confessing so casually as if he’s just telling Sakura about his tomatoes growing fruit.

But the thing is, how does he even respond to that? How can he accept an incredulous thing such as Umemiya liking him? Hell, before coming to Furin, nobody would even treat him like a human being. Now you’re saying someone…someone inspiring and cool like Umemiya actually likes him?!

Sakura likes Umemiya, that’s something he himself had just realized not too long ago. But for that feeling to be reciprocated? His face heated up like never before, and it felt like his head was about to explode. But before even a single utterance could escape his mouth, Umemiya laughed and ruffled his hair.

“You don’t have to say or do anything, I just wanted you to know, okay?”

What the hell!

Sakura had never been an expert in anything remotely related to romance, and even the slightest signs of affection were enough to rattle him. But he was damn sure confessions didn’t usually go this way. Before he could wrap his mind around what had just transpired, Umemiya was already waving goodbye.

He didn’t get to see Umemiya again after many months, but they kept in contact. Umemiya never brought up the confession again, so Sakura pushed it to the back of his mind. That is, until now that the prospect of joining him again came into the picture.

XXX Station. We have arrived at XXX Station.

Sakura has hit his growth spurt over a year back, so now he can easily see Umemiya waving at him from the station exit. Umemiya’s cheeky smile has never dimmed a bit, dazzlingly bright even from afar. Feeling his ears prickle, Sakura casts his gaze down, then makes his way to him.

“Yo, Sakura, it’s been a while!” The last time they saw each other in person was that summer. Sure, they still constantly messaged each other, especially when Umemiya helped him with applying in his college, but between that time and now, Sakura has almost caught up to him in height.

He finally faces him, meeting Umemiya’s eyes without needing to look up. “…Yeah, thank you for picking me up.”

“Haha! It’s nothing. C’mon, you must be hungry. Just one bag with you, huh. Hope you don’t mind walking a bit, the apartment’s not too far from here.”

Umemiya leads the way, his back looking as broad as ever. It reminds Sakura of the very first day he witnessed him being so dependable, facing off Tomiyama Choji when the latter invaded their school. Back then, Sakura’s legs had been frozen in fear. But now, seeing Umemiya’s back again like this gives him a sense of security.

“So, how are you feeling?”

“About what?”

“Leaving town. Going to an unfamiliar place. Being here.”

The streets seem far busier at this time of the day compared to the main street. The smell of freshly baked bread is different from Saboten, and Pothos is not in sight. On the corner of his eyes, he notices some people throwing him second glances, surely surprised by his appearance. If he had been alone, Sakura would have all his guards up by now. But he isn’t.

He looks at Umemiya who’s staring at him expectantly, waiting for his answer, “It was a bit daunting, I guess...but, but now that you’re here…,” Sakura averts his eyes, “It’s all good.”

“Aww,” Umemiya’s arm snakes around his shoulder as he pulls him close, his other hand ruffling his hair, his warmth enveloping Sakura in a familiar way, “That really makes me happy! I’m glad you came here. This place is different from Furin, but I’m sure you’ll like it here, too.”

They walk for another ten minutes, with Umemiya basically conducting a short tour of the neighborhood. Finally, they arrive at a simple one-floor apartment. It has two bedrooms and is a few blocks away from the local college. Thankfully, Umemiya’s previous roommate already graduated, sparing Sakura the trouble of looking for a place on his own. The apartment is not so spacious to hold bulky furniture or whatnot, but a small area has never been a problem for Sakura anyway. The main selling point of the apartment was that it had an ample space on the back for Umemiya’s plants, reminiscent of his garden on Furin High School’s rooftop.

Umemiya tells him to settle in his room while he cooks dinner. The room, though just as small as his previous rental, at least had a proper bed, closet, and curtains. He starts unpacking the small amount of clothes he brought with him, then finally, he draws the curtain open to let some air in.

Clang—

A singular wind chime hangs from the window. Now that he’s checked out the room, it does seem that it has been prepared thoughtfully. The sheets smell fresh from the laundry and the space itself is spotless. He wouldn’t be surprised if Umemiya set everything up. That guy just naturally took care of people.

And to think that he’s spending the next two years or so living with him…Sakura lets out a loud exhale. He needs to settle this matter soon.

When he steps out of the room, Umemiya is already setting up the table.

“Oh, Sakura, right on time. Let’s eat!” Umemiya serves him a steaming plate of omelette rice, with a side of fresh tomato slices freshly plucked from his garden, “It’s still not the same as Kotoha’s recipe, but I’m confident it’s improving. Let me know what you think, okay?”

Sakura digs in almost immediately. He didn’t realize it, but all the contemplating he did on the train and until he arrived here made him hungry as if he had just finished up a fight. Even up to this point, he’s still trying to gather his thoughts as he chews on his food. Important conversations are best brought up in meals, after all.

“Umemiya.”

“Is it good?”

“About what you told me back then—”

“Sakura, you don’t have to worry about it. As I told you already, I just wanted you to know.”

“No, you don’t understand. I…,” In the three years that Sakura led his classmates, he gradually learned to speak his mind and heart out. But matters of the heart are an entirely different thing. This might probably be the first time he’d speak out on something that’s deeply personal, and before he knew it, he starts rambling. “I’ve also…liked you…for a while now. Maybe even back when you were still in Furin. And you’re just probably the coolest person I know, so when you told me you liked me…it was the most unbelievable thing I have heard…so I didn’t get to say anything but…I want to say it now.”

Sakura finally runs out of words to say, losing the initial thread of his thought. When he looks up, he sees Umemiya’s eyes wide open as if in surprise.

“Whoa, you can really just keep going if you set your mind to it, huh. I didn’t think you would be able to say all that.”

“Hah?”

“I mean, you’ve always worn your heart on your sleeves, Sakura. Hehe, I did have a feeling you liked me, but I didn’t want to assume,” Umemiya grins from ear to ear, “But hearing it from you like this, I’m relieved. I almost thought I got rejected back there, you know?”

“But why?”

“Why what?”

“Why do you like…me?”

“What’s not to like? You underestimate your charm too much.”

“…” Sakura has no retort to that.

“Anyway, don’t think too much about it. You’re starting a new phase of your life soon. I know you came here since you didn’t want to be too far from home, right? Just enjoy this new experience without worrying about unnecessary things.”

“You always act like you know everything.”

“Hm?”

The Furin that accepted and acknowledged him, it was all Umemiya’s handiwork. To fail in protecting the town was to disappoint Umemiya, that’s what Sakura believed. And so, if whatever this between the two of them fails, wouldn’t it mean losing a foothold on the place he has grown to call home?

For a moment, only the sound of a wind chime swaying with the wind fills the air.

Then Umemiya breaks out into a hearty laughter, much to Sakura’s confusion.

“You’ve really grown so much, Sakura.” A warm smile paints Umemiya’s face, and somehow, all the tension in Sakura’s shoulders dissipate. “Home, huh. I promise, no matter what, I’ll make sure you’ll feel at home here as well. Alright?”

He dreams of the same green field he has long associated to Furin. But this time, he has his back turned to it. He’s in front of a wooden bridge across a crystal spring stream, leading to another patch of green field, and on the other end is a beckoning hand and a warm smile –

The smell of breakfast wakes Sakura even before his alarm does. He blinks his eyes blearily, his sleepy gaze landing on the wind chime hanging by the window, the rays of sunlight painting a prism on the corner as it hits the glass. It’s too peaceful, too comfortable, it almost feels like an extension of his dream –

But it’s not. And outside this room, another dream-like existence exists.

Knock knock!

“Sakura, you awake?” The door creaks open, and Umemiya’s smiling face completes his morning view, “Breakfast’s ready.”

He’s really going to wake up to this now, huh? Despite himself, Sakura feels a smile on his own lips.

For the first time, he understands what it means for a person to feel like home.

Wow how do u get the motivation to study like this?

I actually get this question a lot, so I’ve tried to put some tips together that help me to stay concentrated for as much time as possible! 🙏

Here's how I do 3-5+ hours of revision each day on top of school*:

1. Set achievable goals

Everyone falls into the trap of thinking they can do more than they think, but ultimately it just makes you feel bad :( There’s nothing worse than feeling unfulfilled at the end of the day because you haven’t “completed your work.”

They best thing you can do is write out your tasks that need to be completed, ordering them in terms of priority and then get cracking! It’s important to note that forcing yourself to do work will never help, it’ll just make the work looked rushed and won’t be your best, do what you can and don’t feel disheartened if you leave something uncompleted for now!! (finish it eventually, ofc ☺️)

2. Don’t put work over your other needs!

I’ve heard some people say that they’ve put off snacking/drinking and hanging out with friends just so that they can study. I can almost 100% guarantee this will just make you more upset!! If you want to go out, go out. If you want to snack, go get a snack! Don’t ever put off your needs for some short term work when we both know you’d be a lot happier talking to your friends 🩷

I know that out there, there are some people who will tell you they forget to eat or drink when they work. Please do not let this influence you. Everyone works differently, and their way is not healthy.

3. Time management

Setting up a revision timetable, with time blocks or not, can really help you to set out an idea of work you’d like to complete! Make it colour coordinated!! Stick it up in your room, or throw it on your home/lockscreen for a reminder!

Everyone works a little differently, for example, I do have a timetable, but I don’t use it in extensive detail. If something else has higher importance, I’ll finish that. If I know that working on a subject really won’t “help” at the time (I’ll go over this later 😋) then I’ll ignore it. It's helpful to have the idea, but don’t restrict yourself to just what you've written on the timetable!

4. Apps!!

I've also found it helps to have a non-academic goal to work towards! I use an app called “Flora” to set time goals and write to-do lists that helps me to get through the nights. For each task I have, the app plants a virtual tree or plant in your garden! You can customise the garden, the title of your tasks and each plant that you grow. The best thing about this app is that it restricts apps on your phone (you can choose which ones!). It acts as a massive deterrent to spending time on your phone and helps you to focus on your work! You can also work with friends and grow trees together, completely free :)

There are many apps like this, Flora is just the one that I use. Take some time to find one just for you!! (flora is the best tho <3)

5. Choosing the right focus

So you have some homework due in a couple of days, an essay next week and a project due in in a month. You're really not feeling good about the homework and the essay just really isn't up your street right now, but that project? You wanna do that! And thats fine!! It's never good to miss deadlines and procrastinate, but if you feel like doing that work now will just lead to it being rushed and feeling incomplete, leave it until later on! Forcing yourself to do a task might make you relieved when you're finished, but it's no way to cheer yourself up.

By all means, don't miss deadlines because of this! You should always try to complete assignments right as they're set rather than leaving them until last minute. Getting compulsory work done leaves more time for you to be yourself, work on your own ideas and have that extra edge above anyone else!

*3-5+ hours on top of schoolwork is a big commitment. I understand this, and everyone is different. Please do not think that this is how much you should be doing, or how much is what makes a "good student." Do what feels right for YOU.

not realizing that this will set sayaka and makoto’s plan against FMJ into motion.

hiyoko seems to have caught on what sayaka’s getting at and for the first time she keeps it on the down-low but hints excitement and anticipation for what’s to come

with hiyoko seemingly less focused on rebelling now that NB/TB/US are clashing which makes things exciting for hiyoko without it being all on her to keep things astray,

she feels more comfortable to indulge in non-destructive fun which mahiru appreciates

mikan seems to be getting the most support from UNCHARTED SENSATION since they’re new and have boundaries which TB has been more enabling regarding mikan’s compulsions which is a change of pace for mikan thats weirdly a positive influence on her thats been kinda developing recently

peko gets approached by sayaka at some point and sayaka's immediately fond of her as peko reminds sayaka of VGM but further fuels sayaka's urgency to get this over with ASAP.

point is sayaka has been the most genuinely nicest to peko specifically and peko appreciates her kindness

ibuki offers to help out with sayaka’s concert which sayaka declines but Ibuki still likes the concert idea so she just starts working on one on the spot with the help of kazuchi

kazuichi doesnt trust anyone from NB and mostly just sticks with ibuki. he does try to please and impress the US members tho

sonia and gundham are assisted by US to better expand and develop their performance bit, making it extra special for the 2 and are the most positively influenced by sayaka

fuyuhiko wanting to establish good rep with twogami decides to combine his and peko’s performance with twogami and mikan’s.

also to compete over who pulls it off better as fuyuhiko seems to have grown prouder of his branches current developments

and wants to put it to the test(and is especially let down when things aren’t working out like he hoped lol)

hajime sides with nagito who is on opposition to sayaka’s deal and participation

quickly followed by their falling out after approached by one of US's members which causes them both to be discouraged from working further on their assigned performance bit

sayaka almost nearly went along with teruteru and akane’s performance to quell them from being obnoxious af all the time as a deal but this interaction was cut short due to nagito and hajime’s quarrel which both teruteru and akane both decide to abandon their roles entirely

as the deadline inches closer only sonia, gundham and ibuki now show up for the rehearsals

chiaki absent for a while returns after most people abandon their roles,

after getting all caught up to speed: tells nekomaru not to hold it against them if people dont want to participate anymore.

chiaki rounds back up the now segregated members of NB and is understanding of gundham’s concerns regarding new communication issues that came to light from dealing with TB and US.

morale is lost but they can still work together with what they still have left. chiaki also tells twogami to let go of the performance and follow his inclination of supporting his own branch and particularly hajime

I love love LOVED your piece for the tea toast & ghosts zine – what was your experience in planning and creating it? was it a challenge to combine both art and writing, and did your art influence your writing or vice versa? if im being honest i wanted to write an article from the very beginning, it was the overall idea that was ever changing but eventually i found it. since TTG zine's topic was your favourite thing about l&co, and i had no idea how to incorporate skullyle and it was too much work to come up with technical parts of ghost-lamps (tho i did dive deep into street lights' wiring at one point), i figured i'd stick to my favourite thing of all - worldbuilding and dark stuff!

The Idea™, at first, was to come up with a few cases and illustrate them, but the longer i rotated those the more i didn't like the prospect of making something separate and not rooted into canon. so i skimmed through the books while looking for any mentions of Fittes and Rotwell cases, since back then i already decided to use the Mud Lane Phantom's story. the other two i took are from TSS and THB and they were vague enough to be able to lengthen them to an article entry.

i outlined ideas first, what themes i wanted to convey, what i wanted to put out there for fans and how these cases would've work with each other. from the that point i started drawing the illustrations. quite a backwards process. and it all sounds good on paper but in reality irl struggles really weren't making me any favours and i wasn't meeting deadlines at all, but mods team was patient and understanding with me, they are literally the best!

for Mud Lane i went for slight mockery of pioneers because, well, yeah. there was quite a lot of made up lore that i decided to cast aside (like what if "today" at the crossroad there's a statue of Fittes and Rotwell? a museum? a tourist attraction? a gift shop?). overall im just really proud of illustration that i did, i should draw more of Marissa and Tom at some point.

fun fact and easter egg of sorts: Marissa's pose was supposed to be an homage to first poster of the series and the way Lucy stands in it! i think it got lost along the way as i changed the pose but i think it's still readable enough. i love drawing parallels between the two (:

picking one case set 50 years before the others ment that i'd have to contrast them, draw a parallel and make them work against each other to bring up the best and the worst. The Shoreditch one was, admittedly, more of that coming up with something that wasn't there in the first place. first book only mentioned patrols and i latched onto them. (plus i was drafting it at around the same time as l&co bigbang came out and i was massively inspired by my teammates work which incorporated those patrols but in metro tunnels. great case-fic btw). mainly i went for darker aspects of agent's work there, thinking that to fit in sewers the team would've been of smaller children, and that Kipps (yeah, he's there in illustration) would be as close to them as possible, unlike other inspectors we are used to seeing.

Holland Park Hounds was the one that i was the most excited for because wdym we as a fandom don't talk about possible animal-ghosts?? sure, it could've been Changer(s) but is it really? plus how badass of Holly to be part of it AND it was famous enough that Lucy knew of it as well!

Holly Munro pushed a stray hair or two behind her ear. ‘Well, I’ve seen some things. I was there in the Holland Park Cellar case, when our party got blockaded underground by those seven spectral dogs. It was quite a tight spot. And after that—’ ‘I heard about Holland Park, Holly, and I can tell you the thing that makes the bloody footprints is ten times worse. I’m only saying. I don’t want to frighten you. I just wouldn’t want you to get hurt.’ (THB)

innitially i wanted to do something about a horse-phantom that was mentioned somewhere but for the life of me i couldn't find it in books, so i'll leave it for my next reread. but this case has so much more ties to the main gang and especially Holly herself. i really wanted to draw a picture of her and her team after the case but no composition really worked so i kept it to park's plan (my urban planer friend said it looked good even). plus giving a plan and thorough haunting information somehow felt very Rotwell to me.

aaand i think that's it! not much to say for back cover only that my friend really disliked my choice of comic sans for one of the adverts. and that i wanted to make it gritty, as if its a wall right around the corner of the Fittes ball court.

I’m curious, did you shade it solely with graphite? Or was there some soft charcoal in there? I know some pencils can get as dark as charcoal. Or at least very close

Yeah that frog drawing took me a good 16 hours to finish! I had like, a deadline fueled drawing bender and got it done in less than 2 days (a miracle for me) cus I told my sister I was shipping it out when in reality I hadn't even bought the paper lol

Its all graphite tho, no charcoal. I'm REALLY bad at charcoal tbh. It's too loose for my liking and I never bothered practicing enough to get consistently decent. I've only ever drawn one decent drawing with charcoal and it was made with a leftover tiny broken piece I found on the easel I used in class and it was GLORIOUS. I'll never have that divine leftover charcoal stick again🥲

I think the darkest graphite pencil I own is an 8B. So I just layered that sucker on for the blackest spots

Mikage Reo (Blue Lock): aside from easily getting attached to characters the fandom hates for no legit reason *coughs in Bakugou and Takemichi* he's literally the most perfect, precious cutie patootie. Not only that he's WIFE MATERIAL which is something instantly found attractive about him, the things I think about OMG (๑♡⌓♡๑)

Dante (Devil May Cry): I was fifteen and he was the coolest video game character I ever saw. Couldn't tell you which of the games tho, only watched and commented while my brother played. I did watch a few episodes of the anime but it's been so long I don't remember if I liked or hated it.

Ryomen Sukuna (Jujutsu Kaisen): We love a chaotic king, like yasss bitch, kill those innocent civilians yayyy!!!

Draco Malfoy (Harry Potter): Blond and bitchy just the way I like em.

Sano Manjiro (Tokyo Revengers): How are you the best fighter but oozing such bratty bottoms energy I love him!!!

Goodness, you’re breaking my heart here but in a good way. 😞 I do have one chapter that I think is okay to post today so you will have that. The only reason I hadn’t posted already is because when I’m away for long periods like this, I try to include multiple updates at once so there’s more stuff to read.

I don’t think there’s words to describe how much you all enjoying my fics means to me. Seriously. Writing is my passion and I yearn for a life where all I can do is just sit and write consistently. Unfortunately, that’s just not what my current circumstance permits. I’m unfortunately an adult child with way too many responsibilities and a full time job that take up too much of my time and mental energy.

Im a workaholic and very susceptible to burnout and tend to overextend myself more often than I’d care to admit. I’m no wordsmith by any means but I take pride in the work I do put out and I’m very critical of the writing I share with you. I don’t want to put updates out just for the sake of meeting these self-imposed deadlines I’m trying to stick to and give you subpar writing. Each update usually has hours of rewrites and editing behind them because everything needs to fit perfectly.

I’d like to think that while my decent-at-best ideas are important, the quality of my work is a large part of how I was even fortunate enough to grow this fanbase and support that I have today. As such, you all deserve that same quality each time and I can’t give anything less than my best to you.

I will make an effort to be better with my schedule but I’m not good at prioritizing myself first so if I can’t do that, I won’t have anything left to give you.

Above all else, please know that I appreciate you all so much. I will always come back. I couldn’t do this without you.

Are you named after anyone? no, i'm not. my parents just liked the name. but allegedly for a short while they considered naming me after a song by a band they love and i dislike. i thank god everyday that in the end they decided to name me weronika instead

💗 loves camping in beautiful places :3 he is a pokeGOD at making curry and will make the most mouth watering thing you have ever put in your mouth on a casual sunday afternoon, his favorite part is the fanning because its like stimming !!!!

🩷 super eclectic and strange. will wear the most random shit and look like the embodiment of a thrift store one day then go full pastel cutesy the next, mostly sticks with clusterfuck goofy style tho. his main outfit is elefish hat, pastel blue glittery biker gloves, white and black hiking boots, black leggings with white stars on them, the summer uniform (i believe), and the x ray backpack.

💗 punk/grunge esque, though he doesnt like to call himself punk out of worries hes too tame and passive to be punk. he does passionately support good causes though. his current and main outfit is a leather jacket over a maroon sweater, fingerless leather gloves with spikes, black ripped and frayed at the bottom jeans, cheri berry patterned sneakers, and a graffiti patterned backpack.

🩷 most sweets but his favorite is nacli salt ice cream!!! he will DROOL if you mention one of these stands nearby and has to physically restrain himself if he sees one near school because he will eat them until he gets a stomach ache.

💗 really enjoys eating freshly picked berries from around galar and its nearby islands (isle of armor). his favorite berry is the roseli berry because jts often related with coffee/tea/romanticized sweets. he named his scolipede after the kasib berry because of the color similarity!

🩷 picnics in any pretty places!!! he makes sure thwy all get equal attention and tries his best to keep up with their speed when they play with their toys :) he will also specifically wash and play with each of his pokemon anytime they picnic and frequently swaps his partner pokemon so they all can walj with him!!!

💗same as above but camping! he will also equally distribute attention/walk time and talk/play with every single pokemon until they want to do their own thing. he does this for two whole teams of pokemon so you can imagine he gets very tired out quickly.

Thanks for telling me about the bug! It was brought to my attention for a while and I’ve had it fixed in my computer. But I haven’t updated yet cuz the rooftop scene was incomplete anyway (back then the deadline for the IFComp was near so I just ended the scene as abruptly as possible 😂). I’ll upload everything when I finish that scene (you’ll have the chance to smooch someone 😉 probably 😂). Stay tuned!

As for save slots, since the game mechanic is a bit convoluted, I’m afraid that there aren’t going to be ones in the near future. I’m adding new school locations soon and that might break the saves.
