little fanfiction pet peeve i have is when characters are both gravely injured after a battle or something, im talking seriously painfully fucked up, and yet they spend their recovery time getting freaky with each other because "oohh the lust just drowns out all the pain" dude i wish it worked like that but you are NOT gonna be hitting it doggy style with a fractured pelvis and 3 broken ribs

I'm honestly surprised by the lack of fics that explore the actual lore of tnmn, especially surrounding Afton. As the only character so far with direct ties to the lore he has so much potential

What are his relationships with Mia, Keppler, and the other neighbors like? Is he a villain? A sympathetic antagonist under Keppler's thumb? Why did he choose this line of work? Did he even have a choice? Does anyone suspect him being involved?

Don't get me wrong I see a good amount of this stuff on tumblr, but fanfiction is severely lacking

There are no other fics I've seen that are tagged with Keppler as a character. Most of the fics for this fandom are ship fics, which I'm not saying to condemn them especially since mine are also ship fics, but to say that you can still explore those things in a ship fic

One of my favorite ship fics was a Franzaack one that hasn't been updated in a while, and it had Izaack actively investigating the origins of doppelgangers and explaining to Francis what he's discovered

Angus and Steven are also popular to ship with our fan favorite milkman, and both could also provide great avenues into the lore since one is commonly headcanoned to have ties to the mafia and the other is in the military

Hell the player character literally works for the DDD so reader inserts and doorman centric fics are already a good starting point

And doppelgangers as characters have so much potential when it comes to exploring their perspectives on humanity and each other and what life is like for them

I don’t know about other fic writers but when I finish a fic and make it complete, 4/4 chapters or how ever many, and people comment over and over and over again that they want more, it makes me feel bad. Because when I’m done writing a fic, I’m done with it, I’m out of juice, I feel like it’s done. When people comment that they want more or that it didn’t end because I left it open ended or a soft ending, I just feel like I didn’t do a good job on the fic. It makes feel so shitty like I didn’t do well or that it wasn’t good enough.

I dunno, I think it’s just me.

I really wanted to put out a more in-depth analysis of the contrast I noticed between the representation of GoYuu and SukuIta in fics (mostly on ao3) but I've gotten so busy and the workload has yet to let me go so I'll be quick!!!

For those who gave a fuck to make it this far it's just something funny I kind of noticed. Maybe someone else did too but like why does SukuIta get more wholesome rep than GoYuu???

Sukuna is literally a mass murderer with most likely cannibalistic tendencies but in more fics than not the most he does is being a self centered jerk with possessive tendencies.

On the other hand, we've literally got jujutsu Jesus, but because (I'm kinda guessing here) it's a teacher x student situation, people tend to focus more on the fact that yeah, this is a pedo situation. No other interpretations, no softening or exploring, just make him a creep.

Which is okay, I don't yuck others yums, if creep Gojo does it for you then by all means go for it, cause god knows I happen to like it now and again myself.

Nevertheless the difference is crazy, I used to think it was the age gap thing but even then Sukuna's case is clearly still worse (cuz centuries year old curse) but again it's not paid much attention to since he's not in a position of power above Yuuji in what's represented as our structured society, so therefore it's less relatable...I guess.

Anyways, I love both ships to death, with GoYuu probably being a few points higher but the influx of creep Gojo fics (of the basement arc or other variety) has really started to become tiring to read.

Despite all that I'll still be reading, there's a hidden gem every seven or so pages they say (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
