Israel, the world’s most innocent country, fell victim to a horrific attack from Iran with zero reported casualties on the same day Israel killed dozens of civilians in Gaza.

Israel had been minding its own business, quietly bombing hospitals, schools, universities, mosques, and an embassy, when the Iranian regime launched their outrageous attack for no apparent reason. Thankfully, the US and UK scrambled jets to defend Israeli airspace because it’s wrong to bomb countries in the Middle East, unless your name is Israel, in which case you can do all the bombing you want.

Every British and American ship in the region is now in grave danger and the risk of terror attacks on our soil has surely increased, but you will be relieved to know our countries have not benefitted in any way from our intervention. Personally, I can’t think of a better way for Israel to spend our tax money.

Our leaders have condemned Iran in the strongest possible terms, which is confusing because I thought we were supposed to remain ambiguous and say we’re investigating the matter when such an attack occurs. Perhaps this is one of those rules that only applies to Israel though.

When informed of the attack, a calm and rational Suella Braverman screamed: “WAR! I WANT WAR!” and when she’d stopped hyperventilating, she added: “This must be the end of western backsliding on Israel,” because she thinks we have not been sufficiently supportive of their genocide. Anyone who is not on the same side of the argument as Suella Braverman must ask serious questions about themselves.

Iran’s unprovoked attack involved giving Israel adequate warning and launching 30-year-old missiles, 99% of which were intercepted, and then saying the matter is closed unless Israel escalates further. The fact Iran would consider retaliating to further escalation from Israel shows just extreme these lunatics are.

Among Iran’s targets was the Israeli air base from which the missiles that struck its embassy were launched, killing 13 on April 1. As of yet, we have no indication as to why Iran carried out the attack, but we’re going to tell you it’s because they want to start World War III. Psychos.

Conspiracy theorists have suggested it’s actually Benjamin Netanyahu who wants escalation, but it’s unclear why the man who faces political oblivion, and possibly jail, would be incentivised to draw his allies into the fight and cause everyone to forget his many war crimes.

Israel, the country that definitely does not want war, has vowed an “unprecedented” response against Iran which will probably kill many more than zero people. If Iran expresses disapproval at Israel’s next mass murder, it’s because they’re trying to destabilise the region. At this point, we’ll have no choice but to help Israel do to Iran what we’ve spent six months helping them do to Gaza - launch precision strikes that destroy 70% of the buildings in the country and leave survivors living in tents.

Worryingly, we’ve just discovered at the most convenient moment that Iran has enough uranium to build 12 nuclear bombs. If it were true that Iran had so much weapon-grade uranium, it would be incredibly stupid to attack them, but we’re going to insist we must attack them because we’re weapon-grade idiots - and we think you are too.

Please just switch your brain off and accept what you’re being told, you simpletons! What matters is rich people can afford nuclear bunkers if this all goes horribly wrong. In the meantime, you can look forward to lots of exciting stories in the media about bringing back conscription and describing how you are likely to die in humanity's final war. Are you looking forward to radiation sickness and nuclear winter? Because they sound like brilliant fun! x

The fun thing about long running series is that you can trace a character's narrative evolution in real time.

The Law we saw pre-timeskip clearly aimed for One Piece.

Unless it was an elaborated lie to his crewmates (which I guess is the in-series explanation at the moment), it's safe to assume that his D lineage and self assigned suicidal mission didn't exist as a concept back then. The goal is eventually re-established with a context.

While drawing, I assumed Kidd would become important, but I didn't think LAW would move forward like that. So it's youu?? 😱

Weekly serialization, it's a Wonderland.

Weekly serialization means adding oomph on micro scale. I have a particular theory extrapolated from this statement: Law's introduction in Punk Hazard wasn't planned at all.

It might sound far fetched for how integral Law is to Punk Hazard's plot. But it's not an uncommon event, and not just in One piece. Editors often suggest heavy changes to accommodate strong cliffhangers and quick surprises. Eleven supernova were created because early Shabondy lacked oomph, Law might have appeared in Punk Hazard for the same reason.

Even without Law, the straw hats would've anchored in Dressrosa to save Kanjurou, Zou to reunite with Raizo, and in Wano to escort their friends back home. Law just happened to have something going on in all of these places.

I think both Law and Kidd's post timeskip debut was planned to be in Wano arc. Law's competitive dynamic with Kidd and Luffy in Wano is more consistent with Shabondy than anything that came before.

Doflamingo was initially one of Kaido's strongest allies to be defeated within Wano country (confirmed in volume 98 SBS). It means Dressrosa was entirely different from what we got.

Given the similarity in their Jolly Roger, Oda may have always planned Law to be Doflamingo's ex-subordinate with a complicated history, keeping his and Doflamingo's conflict reserved for Wano. But Law was popular, resourceful and the story needed a boost after a monotonous Fishman Island arc. Thus, Law gets his early screentime that snowballs into a dramatic Dressrosa arc. I'm sure Oda didn't mind.

Tldr, I think this is how it went down: Oda decides that Kidd and Law would return and fight alongside Luffy in Wano -> Punk hazard is written and introduces Kinemon -> Punk Hazard falls bland and editor pesters Oda to bring Law early -> Law appears and proposes an alliance, so the plot is now directly chained to Wano -> Oda realizes ope ope makes a good device to explain Imu's immortality -> Oda makes Law a D as he's now connected to endgame plot.

Even if the theory above is wrong, it's a fact that Law was not a part of the bigger picture but became unexpectedly relevant. To work with him, Oda had to figure the smaller details of his personality slowly as the story progressed; such as his honesty and the suicidal tendency.

Law roped straw hats into his revenge scheme while deep down wanting them to leave Dressrosa safe and unharmed. But Law in the draft for this scene looks more... certain. Maybe Robin wasn't wrong to suspect Law after all.

I guess, by the time Oda actually reached the scene, the shadiness didn't suit his personality anymore. Corazon would not approve.

Wano Law was the best written Law. His personality was fully ironed out, not just the revived rivalry with Luffy-Kidd but also a reluctance to be nice while time and time proving it's mostly just talks. It's a mix of his personality traits that were decided at his very introduction and the later decided improvisations.

This post was getting too big and derailed so I had to cut it short lol. Maybe I'm reaching with my speculations but it was a fun topic to brainstorm about.

(silly art = silly music etc.) often times i'll loop a song for DAYS just to keep up the "vibe" cause i don't have a go-to favorite when i draw! otherwise i just listen to whatever comes to mind in the moment! but yeah right now (while i draw DCA au stuff), i'm listening to Willow Smith's "empathogen" album & yaelokre's "Hayfields" because i adore that project and it's fun to sing along with!

🐻 Your go-to things to draw when you need comfort? hmm... my go-to comfort to draw is almost always whatever my current hyperfixation is! which is primarily DCA right now! outside of that (tho i'd probably have art block tbh), it's usually drawing myself in varying styles or (if i pull them out of the basement) my OCs. i'm a fanartist at heart, so drawing original stuff sometimes feels alien to me haha! i need a fictional muse to fuel the art lmao

☕ Do you do warmup sketches before drawing? (Bonus: do you have any to share?) actually- no i don't! i don't really "warmup" at all because it ALWAYS ends up being a sketch i post or end up as a finished piece! (i feel like this would make more sense if you watch me draw live ig/posted a speedpaint? maybe for art requests and commissions, but i can't recall tbh.) before digital art, i always drew with a PEN or CRAYON cause that's the most sensory friendly option for me. (it doesn't make a lot of scratchy noises like markers and pencils) so i unintentionally trained my muscle memory and myself to draw whatever comes to mind because every stroke was (literally) permanent + i tried to draw fast and loose cause i hate the feeling of paper. it gives me the strongest, most volatile, and intense visceral ICK. when i draw, i always draw with intention otherwise i'm probably not drawing at all! HAPPY SHADOW GENERATIONS RELEASE DAY! I will not be posting any spoilers relating to it without proper warnings as a heads up, but it could also be a while before I get to drawing stuff from this game. On another note, I got every single other pic done in advance and spent the remaining time (up until this got posted) working slowly but surely on this pic! More rambles under the cut btw-

I really wanted to go all out for Shadow, given how he was one of my favorite characters from childhood. He's impacted what kind of characters I tend to gravitate to without even realizing it up until some time ago-- makes me laugh but in a good way. Ever since playing Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 for myself and watching other older games he's appeared in, it's definitely safe to say he's a huge favorite of mine, given how much development he's gone through over the years. Heck, t's been such a long time since I've felt this immense amount of hype.

With this piece, I worried about it being too cluttered, so there was some experimentation done on this one; mostly for the background. Seems as though I don't draw Shadow enough though, as he's definitely more fun to sketch than I realized. I also tried including a few of his doom powers which were showcased in the trailer, so I hope it looks good! Some perspectives were also tricky, but I thank a few friends of mine with help in the early sketching stages on this. Absolutely proud of how this piece came out, and may everyone have a great time with Generations!

ok so some of the history lesson portion of this may be a little off, it's been a hot minute since i've done much research into this lol. but final haikyuu quest first appeared as a spread in one of the bonus pages in the manga! throughout the manga's run were occasionally drawings of the characters in little fake movie posters, one of them being an action/fantasy movie called final haikyuu quest:

this first poster and the original character designers are drawn by furudate! from there, it went on to become a mini bonus game in the haikyuu 3DS game, which is kind of crazy if you think about it too hard.

there's a playthrough uploaded on youtube here, but it's obv in japanese and i don't think there's been a translation of the game. there's a translation of part of it here on tumblr, but i don't think it's complete. poster from the 3DS game:

from there, it went on to be a CD drama (videos 8-10 on this youtube playlist, with subs), which is super neat. it's also one of the haikyuu light novels, but i have yet to find a full english translation of that.

i haven't read the novel or watched the videos with the CD drama audio myself, so i'm not sure how much it differs from the 3DS game. i assume they're pretty similar though.

so the premise at its most simple is that hinata and his party of adventurers are off to defeat the demon king oikawa and his henchmen! those are the basics.

the "canon" characters in hinata's party are hinata, kenma, aone, iwaizumi, and kageyama. on the opposing side we've got oikawa (the demon king), kuroo, and kiyoko. kiyoko has servants in the form of tanaka and nishionoya (they don't care for oikawa, they're just there for kiyoko). there's also michimiya, who is in the "fair princess kidnapped by oikawa" role that hinata & co. are trying to save. the full character profiles can be found here (everyone in game) and here (heroes only)!

now this whole premise is like. a little silly. the whole deal is a little silly. this is a volleyball manga.

with THAT being said, though, sometimes the most fun to be had is when you take the silly thing and make it devastating. and it's so easy to do that with FHQ. so let's talk abt iwaoi now <3

so in the story, oikawa is the demon king. because the premise is so simplistic and boiled down to good v. bad due to, like, this not being a real piece of media, oikawa is objectively on the "bad side." iwaizumi, on the other hand, is a knight, presumably human, and "oikawa's (former) friend."

iwaizumi being oikawa's former friend is literally his speciality and i think about that all the time btw. for context, kageyama's specialty is "prodigy" and hinata's is "strongest decoy." and fucking iwaizumi is out here like yea hey guys i used to be on the bad side but im mad at oikawa so now i'm with y'all. also my specialty in this fantasy universe is that i used to be oikawa's friend :)

like. what the hell. as you may imagine, the iwaoi angst potential here is ENORMOUS. iwaizumi who has betrayed oikawa and joined the heroes' side to take him down, iwaizumi whose greatest strength comes in knowing oikawa in and out, because the villains you love are both the hardest and the easiest to destroy. iwaizumi who loves oikawa, and who cannot save him.

(**side note, there's a lot of kuroken angst potential involved in this au as well, but let's focus on iwaoi for this post and save kuroken for another day)

so, as i said, the game's interpretation of all this is pretty simplistic and pretty silly. but personally i love thinking too hard and finding depth in things that are so not that deep. and it seems like most fhq fans also employ this as a favorite hobby because holy shit the angst people put in this au is INSANE.

the way i've interpreted it myself has been that iwaoi were besties/lovers/unclear situationship until oikawa kind of "fell into the dark side," because this is an au of every fantasy trope possible, and his reign over aoba became corrupted and "evil." iwaizumi betrays him to join hinata and take him down--save the world, at the cost of the demon he loved so much. but that demon, who oikawa was, is gone already, isn't he?

one of my favorite comics about them is here by @/ichigomaniac, where oikawa falls to the dark side and iwaizumi kills him to save the kingdom he loves. another FAVORITE similar one is here by @/hawberries! the premise of a lot of fics/art in this au run along these lines <3333

another super fun interpretation is a 5 part comic by @/duskisnigh, where oikawa and iwaizumi are running a kind of underground rebellion/safehouse in a world demons are oppressed by the human race. but as oikawa sees more and more evil on the behalf of humanity, he gets more and more unhinged until iwaizumi feels that he no longer knows him--and runs away with kageyama, with the intention of taking oikawa down.

personally i think the BEST aus are where iwaizumi--so loyal, so in love--is forced to leave because he can't stand to watch oikawa fall to more darkness, while oikawa himself is so devoted to iwaizumi that it's his love for iwaizumi that is corrupting him.....

in the fic i wrote, it's a story about forbidden love and how oikawa just wants to be allowed to love iwaizumi and he'll fight a war in order to do it. but iwaizumi can't watch oikawa fight this war anymore, because he's getting more and more dark as the war rages on. so he leaves, and was any of this ever worth it?

BUDLEY EXOTIC ESCAPADEEE!! I LOVE HIMM!! He's doing the zesty hand pose because he's zesty as fuck!! Also, I decided to stick to the actual style of the show, so I drew his jawline and hat as it is in the original design as opposed to how I would normally draw them.

MONTEZ!!! Not much to say about this one tbh, except that I still HATE drawing faces!!

ZEMMA!!! Definitely not one of my strongest pieces when it comes to the anatomy, but I still kinda love it. Plus, I got to experiment with Emma's hair and casual clothing. Also I just love how I switched Emma's scrunchie for Zee's hair tie and vice versa.

Here's Juliaaa!! This is probably the only drawing where I didn't hate drawing the backgrounds. Also this is my first time drawing Julia, and I gave her some earrings. Not much to say tbh.

MORE ZEE!!!! This drawing was originally just going to be a sketch for a friend of mine, but I eventually decided to turn it into a drawing and I'm very happy with it. And I know the heart hands aren't exactly "heart-shaped", but I tried my best.

Oooh, yikes... this drawing... I don't think it's necessarily horrible but I don't think it's great either. Drawing MK was a fucking nightmare, I did not have fun with this one. Originally I didn't want to draw the backgrounds but instead copy and paste the bg from the og show, but it looked horrible. I'm not sure if I'll draw her again...

ZEE AS A HOCKEY BRO!!! Aside from some small issues I have with it, I really liked how this one turned out!!! Now normally before I draw them digitally, I make a sketch first and trace over it on my drawing tablet. That wasn't the case with the raccoon logo, I designed it right out of my ass and I just love how it looks. I tried to make the jersey look baggy and I hope it translated well. Also the colours I used were from a bitmoji.

And here's Brad... Oh... I don't think this drawing is b(r)ad but... I just don't like the face. Also I really do not know if the anatomy is good with the neck connecting to the head. That's something that always confuses me, but I think I'm improving with my arm/hand anatomy, I think?

And finally, my YouTooz designs. As of now, I've only drawn 7 characters, Wayne, Raj, Zee (With Olivia von trashpanda), Millie, Ripper, Emma, and Caleb (With 2 additional variants of Ripper & Millie). I won't go over my descriptions for each of them, but I really do want to continue with these, it's been a long time. Maybe Bowie or MK are next? Those two seem like they'd be hard to make, so I'd rather finish them now than later.

A trip down memory lane - TMNT 2003

So. The 20th anniversary of 2003 Ninja turtles was a little while ago, but I didn’t have time to draw anything for it 👉👈💦 BUT, I wanted to do SOMETHING for it, even a bit late. 

For context, TMNT 2003 was my introducion to the franchise. Back when it started airing, I was 9yo and was immediately hooked. I think it’s the series/fandom that has stuck with me the strongest across the years. Even if I’d have long periods, even couple year brakes from it, I always dip back at some point. Usually it’d happen by me suddenly having a dream about the turtles, and then going like “Oh, is it that time again? Guess I’ll go check some fanworks, then.” ANYWAY, I thought it’d be fun to dig up some old art and do some redrawing hehheh. Hopefully yall find these somewhat entertaining, I’ve been equal parts cackling and cringing lmao!

Here we have THE FIRST EVER Leonardo I’ve ever drawn! (Made when I was 9) I’m honestly very charmed and kinda impressed by it. Like, he looks really funky and dynamic! That pose and the way the bandanna tails are flying adds really nice movement and energy to the drawing! It was really fun to use it as a base, because the elements of it were already working well!

Also there’s Splinter I drew around that same time. He also has a lot of funny personality haha! (Sorry Splints for being too lazy to redraw you)

BY THE WAY. I’m FUCKING DEVASTATED that I was not able to find a third drawing I remember from this period. It featured Splinter being drunk while Leo looks on horrified. Why? I don’t know. Little Ruija thought it was really funny I guess. Anyway, here’s an imitation piece for demonstration:

I think the next time I drew fanart of ninja nurtles was when I was 11-12yo and joined Devianart. The account I used to have doesn’t exist anymore, so I wasn’t able to recover files from that time. My only hope is to come across some originals in my old art folders  💦 💦 I have really fond memories from that time. Was quite active in the Sonic and TMNT fandom.

This was drawn when I was 13, I think. I’m sensing... a bit of a fictional crush there. And- Wait a minute. Is that...? ENHANCE

I’ve actually been wanting to redraw this piece anyway, but with my HC of Donnie being really tall, haha. (I keep squinting at Leo and how he turned out very femme in this... Oh well, he/she’s just rocking some transswag)

PHEW! This was fun! Made me feel extremely fond, thinking about how excited my younger selves would be to see these redrawings haha.

Earlier I said I didn’t have any works archived from my old DA account, but surprisingly I had a couple screenshots like this:

Back then (2005-2007 in this case) personal websites were common, including ones dedicated to fandom-content. A Japanese tmnt fan going by Sakan-san also had one called FREAKfreak. (She was also on DA) Her art was gorgeous and I thought she was like the best and coolest tmnt artist ever. 

Her webpage had this PAINTchat on it and both Japanese and Western fans would gather there to draw together. Sakan-san would often post the collabs in her gallery afterwards. There were a couple times I was able to join a session with them too, which I was over the moon about! (In the screenshot the bottom right segment was mine lol). It was really cool, that they included a novice artist with extremely broken english amongst them.

Seeing these screenshorts made me remember how much I admired Sakan-san and wanted to draw like her. And then realizing, that now I can✨

Another memorable interaction from that time is when I was chatting with some older fans. By the time I got on DA, my country had only dubbed and aired the first two seasons of the 2003 series. I kept seeing fanart of Leo with his shellscar and got curious. I asked the others where he gets it.

They told me he put dynamite on it.

And then said it’s better if I go watch the episodes myself. Fortunately I was able to find and watch rest of the series after that, haha.

IMPORTANT: please suggest quotes for those I don't have an idea for! It'd be very helpful, especially because I don't have all the VODs! I need quotes for: Rae, Caspian, Momboo, Jamie, Easton, Centross, Ven, Athena, Wolf, Arisanna, Haley, and Icarus. Open for suggestions on Ocie, Ulysses, and Aax!

I think when Fable ends I'm going to work on a series of pieces- love letters to the entire story and how much it's impacted me. I've got a few planned but I need Fable to end before I start it, because whatever happens from now to the finale- including the finale itself, is going to be so important in relation to these! A few of the already like- dead dead characters I can work with though

I want to include text within them, so;

Rae - Rae's is going to be one of the most fun. There is so much I can do- so many directions. The finale will probably solidify which I do! A few things are for certain though; 1) aspects of the skulk. Most likely will be vines crawling up the background! 2) Aspects of the three shards- Alerion, Enderian, and Perix. Probably will be conveyed through color! Enderian will have a more specific nod as she's more present within Rae himself! Some sort of crown would sort of be my idea. 3) Stars. Of some sort, I want there to be stars. 4) A crown. Will probably be end-esque but we shall see!

Aax -There are a few things I know I want for Aax as well! 1) Four. Such an iconic thing for Aax- it's gotta be there. 2) Glowberries (because why not) 3) A trident and an axe. Aax's words will probably be something like "by design", or something about protecting Rae and Caspian!

Caspian - The problem with Caspian is I don't know an absolute ton about him! I do know a decent bit though, I'd say. A few things I want to include: 1) a quill. what's a writer without his tools? 2) A nod to momboo in some way. I'll figure that out. 3) Redstone/gadgetry of some kind. 4) something Atlas related, if not Atlas herself.

Momboo - I want a lot of nature themed elements, of course, but also a splash of color. The glitching. May do a half and half but probably not- it'll probably be worked in there somehow tho! I want nods to Jamie and Easton as well. Not sure on the quote yet!

Jamie - I hold Jamie in my little hands. I want nods to Athena, Momboo, and Easton in there, as well as Eeji, whatever the sheep is named, the camel and Solaris! I might have them as tiny creatures within the art piece itself! There will be an increase of nature themed elements as well, a nod to how they inherited that from Momboo! (no quote so far)

Easton: I don't know too much about Easton as well, sadly! I want to include lightning, skulk, nods to their mother and sibling, and the border will probably be a heart monitor type line (well within the border), a nod to how they see the world! (no quote so far)

Athena: I of course want Nether elements, but also a nod to Jamie, nature/flowers, and Cheshire! Cheshire might be included, possibly at the bottom or draped across Athena's neck. Whatever I can get to work! I kind of want to draw her in his fancy nether outfit, because I feel like it fits? (no quote so far)

Ven: The little traitor man! (/aff) I want nods to Fengari and some sort of writing detail! I don't know a ton about Ven, but I may include some nods to Fable (twisting yellow claws, etc!) (no quote so far!)

Ocie: I have the most idea for Ocie- she's the one that started my brain a'going. One of the strongest themes in Ocie's character is grief. It's lost so many people- and now another one, Len. Features I want to include are: 1) a nod to Momboo, 2) Oscar, 3) I kind of want her eyes to glow, 4) a heart of the sea, 5) tears. The words on her piece will probably be "Another empty grave." (or "I don't want to dig another grave.", or "It takes every piece away"!)

Centross: Wouldn't be a Centross piece without a nod to the end! A note that this piece will be of Violet! I want to display each character sort of in their "final form", whatever that may be. I want stars, the reaver, and a nod to the farming. His quote will probably be something cryptic about keeping the balance!

Wolf/Fenris: Fenris's is another that is going to be really fun! I may add a phantom mask over his face, as well as the moon above or behind his head. I want him in a fancy outfit- probably the one Malitae gave him, or the Festival of light one. There will be stars for Rae, and maybe wheat for Centross? Not sure of a quote yet!

Arisanna: Gotta have allays. But also pillager references! The border will probs have arrows within it! She'll also have some sort of book reference, whether that be the background or her holding one!

Icarus: Wings and potions and wack. Icarus's will be colorful, feathery, and otherwise I'm not entirely sure! I want a crown, so icarus's matches the rest of prince trio's. I also want to highlight their eyes! Otherwise, I think help from y'all and also the finale will help. Quote might be "Oh, we're doing this again?" but I am very very very open to suggestions

Haley: Haley's is going to be eerie- probably a reference to how she died, but also I want something puppet-y about her! not sure what else, and for the quote all i got is "this wasn't how it was supposed to go"

Ulysses: formerly evil fish man WOOO! Gotta have references to medical stuff, possibly have Victor in there, telchin stuff, and alcohol. Ulysses is trying to make amends, to fix the wrongs, to improve. I don't know how I can convey the layers of that well, like I can with Ocie's grief. Honestly, the quote might be the best way to do that! ("I'm sorry", or "I didn't mean for this to happen", maybe?)

I won't be doing one for Galahad, Will, or Chaos! Galahad and Will because I don't know their characters that well, and I feel like it'd be out of place now. Chaos for infer-able reasons.

Addie may be added if I have time, motivation, and if we see addie again before the end!

@mathismykryptonite Isayama said a lot of weird stuff in that Q n A that didn't make any sense and I agree with you wholeheartedly. I'm personally offended by the fact that Mikasa lost her powers and is supposedly "bad in sports" now.

How did she lose them? Are the Ackermans not detached from the power of the titans in order to resist it in the first place? The Founding Titan can't control them whatsoever. Therefore shouldn't they be separate from the titans and keep existing as they were even without them? Or is it that because the Ackermans were carrying titan power in them, which was a piece of that world's magic system, that it disappeared along with the rest of the magic system?

What we actually do know is that the Ackermans were a result of experiments about titans on humans. I wish I know what that meant. I wish Isayama himself knew what it meant. I doubt he expanded on it, which... why? The Ackerman clan is such a fascinating concept and they're so underdeveloped.

In my humble opinion, it would've been so fun to have the Ackermans be detached enough from the Founding Titan that the disappearance of titans wouldn't affect them. They'd be the final bearers of that sliver of titan power which would inevitably die with them, since both Levi and Mikasa died childless.

Alright, even if the whole "losing her powers" deal was true, how is Mikasa suddenly bad in sports now? Has she not bulked up and gained incredible grace in her movements during all those years of training? Even if that superhuman power disappeared, she has muscle memory. She can become the greatest again and she will.

In my humble opinion, again, Isayama is confused and Mikasa never lost her powers because that just doesn't make sense. She's humanity's strongest now, with Levi's full support.

I took a sniff of you once. Stinkiest thing I ever smelled. Smelled like layers upon layers of cat. *Stinky* cat. There was something else, with it, too… It had an *edge.* I mean, apart from the stinky cat smell. I mean, you are a stinky cat. So the smell of a stinky cat is the smell of a stinky cat plus this edge, right? A set can contain more than the set is itself or something. I don’t know mathematics. Anyway, this *edge…* there were lemon. Orange. Tangerine. Citrus, citrus, citrus… that was the strongest part of the edge- no, no, no. Not citrus. *Acid*.* there was some citrus in the edges yes, but it was more general acid. Like stomach. Like vinegar, mmm vinegar… like hydrochloric. Say, have you ever had your arm eaten off by acid? Hurts like hell, doesn’t it. At least you can go get a new one at the acid refund shop. God, where would we be without those guys… I got a new arm from them once. Fucked up my claws. Returned to them and said ‘hey you fucked up my claws’ and they were like ‘ok and’ and I was like ‘can I get a new one’ and they were like ‘sorry no refunds’ and I was like ‘yeah but that’s what you do you give refunds’ and they were like ‘we don’t refund our own refunds’ and so anyway that’s the story of how I ended up with claws made out of plastic and wood and, I don’t know was it wolf fur? It was some type of fur I took it to a seasoned taxidermist about a year after they got my claws wrong and they said it was wolf fur. But I’m not ahundy cent sure. Anyways that on my right arm for a week. And then I was like ‘fuck it this hurts’ and grew new ones. Have you seen my claws? I think you have. They’re beautiful aren’t they. Real pieces of work. Did you know I often break into people’s houses in the middle of the night and graffiti their drywall with my super awesome claws? Sure, I get implicated in the odd home invasion case but it really is fun to hear about all the people who have stuff like ‘gorm’ and ‘gorp’ and ‘gort’ and ‘gorg’ and ‘gorb’ clawed into their wall. Have you done anything similar? I know you’re mischievous and all that — all cats are, aren’t they? I mean, look at Rico. He sure is a piece of work. He once chewed my leg of. Couldn’t go to the acid refund shop as he’s not an acid. I mean he could be. He could have acid in those cute lil fangs of his but that’s beside the point. Anyway I could go there because he’s presumably not acidic. So I had to spend the energy to regrow it, you know how it is. Except every night he’s come in, take a little nibble out of my regrowing leg. An he kept at this for *years*. So instead of the usual sixth months, I was a leg down for 8 years. God, to think I’ve known rico for twice that amount… anyways, once it was done he told me about it and we laughed it off. Good prank, too. Rico also once threw me into deep space. I was out on a spacewalk, he cut the tether, the rest is history… I was out there floating for about two months. Before I got a lift from some guy in a Honda Civic. Don’t know how he got it spaceworthy, but it was comfortable enough. Those two months were nice too, got to spend all that time looking at the stars as I slowly tumbled through them. Now I know all my star charts. Also solved plinko, but that’s a story for another time. Where were we? Mischievous cats! June is a cat, isn’t she? Well. *Some* of the time at least. Do you know June? She’s a real banger. Loves eating all your files and laughing maliciously. I opened a message from her once on my phone and it got straight up haunted and floated away. Never saw that phone since. No idea how she did it, either. She might’ve possessed it for all I know. Also hear her laughing sometimes when I’m in my bed. Her laughs carry really far, y’know? Anyways. You. You you you you. Rambling about technical details/my thought process behind this piece below cut:

I knew I wanted to do something from either the end of [it’s me I’m trees] or the first chapter of [The Whole Damn Forest] because that was where the strongest imagery for a drawing was. I’m not a sequential artist at all so it was hard at first to pick a scene where I didn’t need the dialogue to make it clear what was going on. I had a bunch of quick thumbnails for the elevator scene and stuff with Zazie, but I initially started sketching for the part where Wolfwood is holding Vash in the last chapter of [it’s me I’m trees] and I was going to reference this knives panel:

But this one just kept turning out really boring. Then I started on the sketch that turned into the final composition. The composition is a blatant reference to The original trimax panel of Wolfwood contemplating killing Vash:

It’s one of my favorite panels from trimax and super easy shorthand to convey Wolfwood’s conflict in this scene. I switched his pose to be holding the punisher to comply with the fic scene.

For Vash, his plant/angel form is described as being very sea creature-like in Becoming Eden. I know Lilith’s Brood was an inspiration, but it’s been a while since I read it. So, I just went with an amalgam of sea creatures (I shrimped him). I really wanted the ‘wings’ to be lion fish fins and the tail is a scorpion tail. There’s also jellyfish and coral bits for fun. He’s got short hair for canon getting-melted-off reasons, but also I made it Knives’s trimax hair for juicy thematic reasons -Wolfwood is choosing whether or not to kill them both after all :)

The glass cracks nearly killed me; I could not get them to look convincing. I’m still not sure about it, but after fiddling for hours with them, I’m at least satisfied with the result. The problem with the whole thing was that I knew the lighting behind the glass was different than what we, the viewer are seeing from inside the tank. But making that clear meant it just kept standing out too much and breaking the believability of the cracks. I used some airbrushing to push the edges back and that helped.
