There are still 15 eps left after next week so I doubt the writers will let Satoru have a successful confession 😕
Also, the fact that the ep title is called a “confession plan” and not an actual “confession” pretty much indicates they’re going to drag his feelings out a little longer (well, these things tend to happen closer to the end of an anime anyway) 😑

But I’m still and always will root for your love, Satoruuuu!!! ✊😫❤️
seriously, I don’t need another Takumi scenario here. Dense heroines are such an overdone archetype 🙄 that it wouldn’t kill anyone to make their character a little more interesting by smacking them awake with the obvious 😝
#Iroha is such a sweet girl 🥺 but the story is barely giving her any worthwhile development 😑#i’m grasping for smoke here TURN UP THE FAIYAAAHHH!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥#also if Satoru doesn’t get a 😘 for all his contributions to the team i will be quite disappointed#Yea the movie outfit is great and all but they’re clearly refusing to upgrade him to Cure status and i am salty over that 😒#anyways it can just be a 😘 on the cheek and it doesn’t even have to be from Iroha#Komugi you’re up! Slobber this boy in puppy licks! 😈#wonderful precure#toyama satoru

Hey, Tira!! Anon that suggested Latina! Reader here. First of all, are you doing good? Remember to drink water, okay?
Secondly, for a neglected! Reader plot,(or maybe a one-shot, whatever you feel like writing) what do you think about magical girl! Reader? Like, there's this pink (or any other color) teenage girl/boy in gotham that fights some type of not really scary monster (maybe those from precure, as they don't look that frightening) with glitter and hearts and cute stuff and then the batfam is just flabbergasted because why?? Are they?? So cute?? And they become yandere because they just think reader is so so adorable and innocent
And maybe gotham villains have a soft spot for reader becuase they saved them for the monster thingys
And now reader has to deal with all the most powerful entities in gotham being obsessed over them
And IF it is a neglected! Reader they have to deal with the pain of being adored by the batfam as their magical girl persona, but not as their real self
OR MAYBE!! Star butterfly! Reader (i could elaborate if you want!)
Sorry for the long ask and any writing mistakes, and again, really self indulgent because I love love love magical girls!!
Hi! I love hearing from you again!!! I'm doing good, I just watched the Deadpool and Wolverine movie and it's taken a grip on me 😩
I love that idea for the plot! I was hoping to do a magical girl reader because my FYP on both Tiktok AND Tumblr has been magical girl batfam and I just finished watching Sailor Moon last night.
I'd love to incorporate that into the plot (as well as make a separate one-shot of it in a different instance).
I for sure think that the Batfam would have the mindset of "oh, they're dressed up in cute, bright colours and is fighting non-frightening monsters. That must mean they're an innocent teen playing dress up and doesn't actually know the truth about the real world"
Whether it's true or not is up to you to decide for now but I personally think that Reader would be in the middle, aware of the world around them but oblivious to how it affects themselves - or completely different then that, Reader would be completely aware of the world and struggles in real life but fights as a magical girl + with a smile on her face so she can give others hope.
For the villains I think for sure that the ones who have a proper soft spot (eg. Wouldn't get Reader involved in crimes, would work to protect Reader) would be Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Two-Face and Penguin.
For the villains that will let Reader get into trouble so they can save them I think it would be Bane, Catwoman, Clayface and Killer Croc. (Possibly Mad Hatter).
For the villains who would purposefully incorporate Reader into their schemes I think the main ones would be Joker, Hugo Strange and Scarecrow (for two different reasons however).
For Joker he'd see it more so as a bonding experience, a way to "hang out" and "catch up". Even if the Reader is held hostage, in the middle of the battle field, etc.
For Scarecrow I think it would come moreso from a sense of morbid curiosity. How far will Reader go to help people? How does their mind work? How will they react to Fear Gas? What is their fear?
I'd definitely think Harley would love the outfit and Mad Hatter would start to think of you as Alice with your colourful get-up.
If we're talking Batman villains who aren't in Gotham (Talia, Ra, Deadshot, Deathstroke) then I feel it would be a different kind of attachment.
It would be more like "what is this colourful child doing in such a dark place?" (Even if you are already in your adult years).
Talia and Ra would see Reader as someone to train, Reader has great strength to wield and if Talia/Ra can train them then Reader will be a great asset.
The difference between the two would be that Talia grows attached in a nurturing way while Ra grows attached in a condescending way.
Eg.
Talia would think of Reader as a child for her to protect
Ra would think of Reader as a lamb that will be slaughtered without him.
Deadshot has his own kid, he doesn't care much for another until seeing Reader hurt/sad. Reader would be a substitute for Deadshot's daughter while she's with her mother.
Deathstroke, I really don't like him (sorry if you do, he just makes me feel icky), but I feel he'd have a mix between Talia's headspace and Ra's headspace.
"Reader can't survive without me guiding them. Reader needs a father to help them grow" it doesn't matter if you have a dad, he won't compare to Deathstroke. If it's such a big deal for Reader Deathstroke will just remove Reader's father from the picture.
I'd love for you to elaborate on Star Butterfly!
Dw about long requests, I literally squealed when I saw it!!

And… it is finished….. (this took way too long)
All the Dudelings and their fav Precures!
Explanations below the cut!
1. Cure Wonderful and Movie!Dude: Cure Wonderful can transform between dog and human. She’s more of a ditz (in her cute anime way) but she’s all cute and glittery! I like to call Movie!Dude a ‘pathetic wet dog’. I feel like he would just like her because “haha silly anime and dogs are cute”.
2. Cure Happy and P1 Dude: Dude is more of a loner and a ‘quiet boy’. Kind of like Cure Happy— she would spend a lot of time alone reading fairy tales. Throughout some episodes, she will imagine herself in a fairytale or compare a real-life situation to a fairytale. Dude would find some sort of relatability to her. She is also a bit of a ditz, but her awesome transformation scene and fighting make up for it.
3. Cure Idol and P2/P4: This one is pure crack. I was in Japan when Kimi To Idol released. And, at the same time, I re-found my love for the Postal series! So I thought it would be silly to make P2 a fan of Cure Idol (I even wrote a fanfic about it). Since P4 is just old P2, he would still find her songs enjoyable.
4. Cure Sunny and P3: Cure Sunny takes life on with fire in her hands… literally. I am not that crazy for P3, so I don’t have a lot of personality headcanons for him. I feel it’s fitting that he would think she’s cool because “wow fire…. So cool.”
5. Cure Nyammy and Shtopor: Okay… so this one may seem more obscure because Shtopor is a pornstar. He would finds some comfort in this super glittery anime. Cure Nyammy is notably more willing to fight and leave scratches, compared to most Precures. Also, her color scheme/design seems similar to Shtopor… so yeah I thought that would be a nice lil tidbit. HER TRANSFORMATION IS SO ELEGANT AND GLORIOUS. Her transformation uses snow and a more ‘cool’ feeling. Perhaps Shtopor finds that cool because he’s used to the cold Russian climate.
6. Cure Ace and Dude BD + Regina and Other Dude: this is a 2-for-1 deal. Regina and Cure Ace are two halves to make up one person. Although Other Dude is a personification of Dude’s psychosis and mental issues (NOT HALVES, simply a part of Dude) I think it’s still fitting.

long rant on why bunny duo WILL happen
If you can’t tell I am going insane (spoiler warning/leak mention)
1: Merchandise/Logos
As I’m sure your aware, WanPre’s logo scheme corresponds to just about every single Cure:

Pink for Komugi/Wonderful, Purple for Iroha/Friendy, Green for Mayu/Lillan, and Blue for Yuki/Nyammy. This leaves us two colors left: orange and yellow, just enough to fulfill another duo.
The colors don’t just stop at the logo, either.
A special shout out to the daily satoru blog for finding this out (I never could have!), but Mayu’s ribbons also similarly match up with this.

Again, two colors are left, an Orange-Yellow color and White, just enough for our bunny duo!

These buttons are also similar: notice the outer colors and the inner colors. The outer colors on the owners correspond with their pets theme color (Mayu is Blue, Iroha is Pink, which fits with Yuki and Komugi) and the opposite for their pets.
By this, we can assume that Daifuku could be a White or Grey Cure, and Satoru could be a Yellow or Orange cure.

This ones already been mentioned, but again, the yellow/white colors!

..And even more buttons. Almost all merch featuring Satoru and Daifuku is either Yellow/Orange, or White/Grey. I’m not going to list everything ever here, but check out the Precure Wiki for more merchandise listings.
2: Daifuku is an anomaly (lol)
If you are unaware, Daifuku is a huge character for merchandising from WanPre. According to the wiki, out of all of the mascots, Daifuku has sold out much, much quicker and is well-received by fans.
Also, in WPC23.. do I have to explain this screen shot? Yuki just straight up calls him not ordinary.

But, she is right. Out of all the animals we’ve seen in the show, besides the Cures and the Kirarin Animals, none have the same proportions Daifuku does. And we know he isn’t a Kirarin animal (lacking the gem), so you can assume he’s a future Cure.
Also, as of WP24, Daifuku (and Satoru) has been to Niko Garden. Not sure if that strengths the point, but yeah.

Daifuku’s movie character: note how again, only the Cures in their animal form have the wristband (Komugi and Yuki.)
And, some card listings that were leaked a while ago:

This one is pretty self-explanatory: there’s 1 more slot for a Cure (or maybe a movie exclusive character) on these cards.
And as of recently, we have seen both of them together on one card in merchandise: it’s possible they both could be a Cure, just on one card.

And last but not least..

There’s 1 more spot for a Cure, or a duo! 3. Other things
Although I do agree the ending doesn’t leave much room for more cures, know that we still might get another ending. Mahou Tsukai and Kira had 3 endings, and Star Twinkle even had 4.
The point is, it’s not too late to call it quits! We have had cures introduced later too: Majesty’s first appearance was in 31. We still have hope. Probably. I’m also probably going insane.
We also can have another ‘Black Pepper’ which personally I think is going to happen— Daifuku will be a white colored Cure and Satoru will be a orange or yellow colored Black Pepper like hero.
Plus, we haven’t had a series without a mid season or additional warrior since Smile, which was 12 years ago. It’s pretty unlikely that’ll happen again.
And it’s not like there is anyone else who can be a mid season besides these two. Unless you count like.. MeyMey but that’s really unlikely lol.
(Against some popular theories: I think it wouldn’t make sense for Niko to be a cure, as not only as she (?) doesn’t fit the orange/white/yellow scheme (based off the Niko leaks), but they aren’t apart of a duo like Mayu and Yuki, Iroha and Wonderful, Satoru and Daifuku..
Plus, in WPC24, notice how Niko’s egg only glows after both Satoru and Daifuku are touching the egg. )
According to some posts I’ve seen on the wiki, ratings for the show actually drop if they don’t have a mid season or additional warrior— having one apparently does better for merchandise sales and reviews in general. Take this with a grain of salt, however. I have no idea if this is true, but I believe it. Plus, with Cure Wing being generally well-received, it’s not impossible that we can have more male cures in the future.
anyways. This is all just a theory. A FILM THEORY.
Thanks for coming to my tedtalk ok bye. In my eyes will Daifuku be a cure? Yes. Will Satoru be a cure? Probably but more likely to be something like black pepper. I’m going insane thanks bye

Batboys watching anime with reader
You know my ass went FULL ON LOCK MODE with Tim. I went crazy- 💀
***S/o is above 18, which means characters below are also aged up!
Doing requests until 1 Feb! Please see my pinned post and read the request rules on the navi! Thank you!🩷
Batbros watching anime with you
Dick Grayson
He’s watched a few 90s anime before, more the basic ones like One Piece and Pokémon, and he probably still watches them to this day. Boy has old CDs he has and you should probably try finding a Blue Ray (or use his if he can have Tim help fix it because it’s good as dead 💀) because he’s popping in every CD of old anime’s he have lying about.
“Wow, I didn’t know I had cowboy bebop! Or Slam Dunk!” He got a few rare gems, which makes it all the more fun to sit down on the couch under a blanket as you huddle and watch the nostalgic 90s anime shows together while eating popcorn.
He doesn’t mind watching new, modern day animes, just be prepared for when you two watch sad anime shows because he will sob like it’s the end of the world.
“NO, WHY WOULD KAORI DIE LIKE THIS?? AND SHE LOVES ARIMA- OH MY GOD IM SO—”sobs even more. He gets emotional while watching them because it’s so sad that it’s sO GOOD-
Loves dancing to those danceable anime music with you. He goes ALL. OUT. He even sings all of it in Japanese like wow-
I would love to hear him sing Cruel Angel’s Thesis in his Discowing suit and with goth makeup on it because it “sets the mood”, PLEASE-
Overall, great time watching with Dick. <3
Jason Todd
You expect someone like him to like Chainsaw Man, Trigun or something like those grunge-y, guns and knives animes, right? I mean, he does, but only with you and ONLY with you will he let his inner Magical Girl enthusiast ass shine. Because he LOVES Magical Girl animes. That’s probably the reason and one point of time why he wore red ribbons around his arms, he wanted that Sailor Moon experience and Tim might’ve just teased him about that era without knowing his love for Magical Girl animes and Jason might’ve flipped and freaked the fuck out and started chasing him down the manor.
Jason watches Sailor Moon, Madoka when he feels edgier than usual, Cardcaptor Sakura, every Precure series, Tokyo Mew Mew, man has all these shows somehow. He swears they weren’t through illegal means and he just worked very hard to gather all of them. He also might be a shoujo anime fan because if he loves Jane Austen books, you bet his ass would be reading Fruits Basket, Maid Sama or something because of course he would.
Also a Studio Ghibli fan, although watching the Tale of Princess Kaguya might make him feel too much, especially getting pissed off with the dad who forces his daughter into a wealthy life without her input and- yeah, you gotta calm him down as he cries bitterly and sourly with a pout on his face.
The two of you can go on and on about debating about unclear endings of animes all day long. You know the “AND SHE WAS A PRINCESS” video? That’s Jason.
Great man to watch anime with, and he’ll gladly be your Tuxedo Mask to your Sailor Moon (and not the “But you did nothing meme- or the other way around- he don’t mind being the Usagi-). <3
Tim Drake
I’m very convinced this man got into his whole detective shit because he watched Detective Conan and honestly I can’t blame him. Tim has probably the largest vessel of anime knowledge out of all of them. He doesn’t really have a specific genre he likes but he’s pretty fond of old 90s and 80s animes. He can explain the whole lore of One Piece, Fairytale, Pokémon like Jesus Tim, calm down- 💀
I can see him watching Neon Genesis Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain or Key the Metal Doll because he likes that little bit of horror nature and mystery and thriller in his animes although he really doesn’t mind watching Haikyuu all over again if you want to.
Might introduce you to underrated and/or old animes like Revolutionary Girl Utena, Nadia the Secrets of Blue Water, every Studio Ghibli movie, those kinds of animes that give off the really pretty and aesthetic old anime animations that is just so pretty to watch and with really good storylines that both of you can cuddle on a couch together and watch. I bet he even watches anime with you even before you two got together, so you guys pretty much have “watching anime together” as part of the foundation of your relationship. Owns so much manga that you can’t even count, too.
Just… don’t make him watch those really slow burn, comedy love animes, specifically Love War. Not that he don’t like romance animes, he watches Ouran High School Host Club and Your Name, trust me, but Love War? He is going absolutely insane because of it.
“OH MY GOD- PLEASE JUST KISS ALREADY. ME AND S/O ARE ALREADY TOGETHER FIVE MONTHS AGO ANF YOU TWO ARE STILL TOO PROUD TO ADMIT YOU LOVE EACH OTHER WHILE BLUSHING- JUST KISS ALREADY-” <3
Damian Wayne
Damian likes anime. Would 100% go to an anime convention with you as a date if you’re up for it. He doesn’t mind (surprisingly- just for you only-).
He doesn’t necessarily like showmen animes although he has enjoyed a few, but he really loves slice of life, I feel. It just feels like he wants to put himself in a normal life and with a tad bit of drama in it like what the characters go through. The touching ones like Hyouka or Natsume’s Book of Friends.
Also animal related anime maybe except Beastars because he didn’t understand shit-?? He calls that peak anime. Aggretsuko, Chi’s Sweet Home and My Roommate is a Cat?? Damian loves this shit, he watches it intently with his arm around you. Even if he doesn’t smile, you know he loves it by the way his eyes sparkle.
Just don’t tell his brothers. He will seriously feel betrayed if you do so because he only watches these kinds of shows with you: the cute animal ones that are actually wholesome and/or funny.
The whole family is into Studio Ghibli, and he is no exception. He feels like it’s the best kinds of anime to watch with you when you guys just want to turn in for the day and huddle up on the couch. It’s one of the rare times he relaxes and softens and he’s glad to have quality time with you. <3
Duke Thomas
He likes anime! Studio Ghibli is definitely a favourite of his and he would gladly watch it together with you! He also love a fair bit of Shounen animes, the more popular ones like Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Haikyuu, or Spy x Family. He likes them a lot!
A big fan of romance animes too: Ouran High School Host Club and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (if you two are in the mood to huddle on the couch together and cry).
Duke doesn’t mind any kind of anime so long as it doesn’t have too much horror or gore like… Higurashi. He gets chills when that anime is mentioned. D-Don’t watch it for your own sake if you don’t know. And if you do, avoid it with him at all cost because he will.
Duke also like singing some good anime songs with you and you guys can go crazy and dance around, just not as dramatic as Dick.
He would be super excited to spend a date with you watching shounen anime movies like from Jujutsu Kaisen and he would be so hype to spend time with you being a fanboy while also sharing that romantic air for the shared love of anime between you two and the love that you two share, although that love is far stronger. <3

AlliMocha’s 2024 Fancuries Spotlight Post!
Hi Everyone! It’s Me, Alli! Back at the fancuries and this time with 5… 5 NOMINATIONS???
Ya’ll are amazing, thank you guys so much for nominating me!
Speaking of which, let’s get to those nomminations shall we?
・・・⟢Best Fanseries Concept: Arcades, Racing Games, & Sweets - Sugar Rush! Pretty Cure ⟢・・・
S. U. G. A. R. Jump into your racing car! Sugar Rush, Sugar Rush!
It was one late night when I was bored that the idea to combine one of my favorite disney movies and precure occured in my brain, and I’m glad it did! I knew going in that arcades, and of course, racing had to be the main themes in this fanseries since it’s based on Wreck it Ralph’s Sugar Rush racers. AND Because it is SUGAR Rush, and the game and character’s in this afromentioned game are sweets related, I knew the outfits and names for the cures had to follow suit.
It’s a really fun idea and a great homage to one of my favorite films, and I’m glad you all enjoy it too!
・・・⟢ Favorite Fancure: Vanelope Von Schmitt/Cure Sweets ⟢・・・
Speaking of Sugar Rush! Precure, the main lead is of course, our wisecracking candy princess, Vanelope! Coming up with Vanelope’s design was pretty easy, as, you know, her character already exists. But for Cure Sweets, it was a different story. I struggled with her colors a fair bit, and her outfit too! However, in th end, I think I nailed down a design I’m pretty happy with!
・・・⟢ Best Team Design: Sugar Rush Pretty Cure ⟢・・・
Despite Sugar Rush! Precure just being created, and there only being two cures, I was still nominated for best team design for what I already had! I’m really exicited that people seem to like the designs I’ve already come up with! Despite the plan of there being 5 cures in total, Cure Sweets and Cure Taffy are the only two cures for a while, and so I wanted to make sure that they worked as a duo as well as apart of a bigger team.
・・・⟢ Coolest Cure: Lei Sandiego/Cure Spice ⟢・・・
Ah, Bittersweet X Daydream! Precure. The series in which the first chapter is still being written for about 4 years now. (I’m not even joking, it’s been that long.) And don’t get me started on Cure Sugar’s design timeline.
But for Cure Spice, her design has been the one that’s stayed mostly the same over the years, and I’m proud that this design was nominated for Coolest Cure!
・・・⟢ Excellence in Digital Art ⟢・・・
This one caught me by surprise. I was so estatic to get nominated for this catagory, and so happy people enjoy my art. Bringing my ideas to life and sharing it with the world has always been a dream of mine, so I want to thank everyone who’s at least seen it for being apart of that dream.
Thank you all! And good luck to everyone who was nominated!
Byyieeee~!

The Chosen One: Missed the Call
So, let's talk about Chosen One deconstructions. And let's start with one, that can be interesting - and notably more interesting than the example I used as a GIF above.
The trope deconstruction of the day is: "Missed the Call".
Basically, you have a Chosen One or multiple chosen ones. But basically when destiny send out the Call to Adventure, they happened to have bad reception, be otherwise busy or maybe the call got lost in the post. As it happens. One way or another, there is chosen and usually some sort of evil out to destroy the world, and the Chosen just does not get out on the adventure, because they just did not receive the call.
Hikari in Digimon Adventure is of course one such example - even though technically speaking in her case this only happened because the writers had already written the first 15 episodes or so, when it was decided to add her into the series. lol So yeah, the only explanation of her being absent until then was her having missed the call.
Toei/Bandai do love this trope though for their eventual 6th Ranger character, that tend to be a mainstay in their original stuff. So basically Digimon, PreCure and Kamen Rider will bring this trope up again and again. Characters tend to miss the call based on just being not available at the moment, being dead or in a coma (if I had a nickle for everytime this happened...), or being brainwashed by the bad guy at the beginning of the story.
Though sadly, though naturally given that these tend to be for kids, the outcome tends to be: "Oh well, they get their powers around episode 26 and then we will get a new powerful team attack or something." Generally speaking there are usually not a lot of super serious results of them missing the call. And if a character missed the call based on being dead (which to my knowledge only happened once - Digimon Frontier) they kindly will get eventually revived by whatever power was responsible for the choosing of the heroes.
This is a shame, I think, given that this trope does have some interesting story option, if played straight. Be it in deconstructing the idea of the "chosen hero" to begin with, or be it just in giving a story higher stakes.
Because one way you can play with this is to go: "Eh, where is the hero?" - "They did not show up, sir." - "Shit........ So, who wants to go instead?"
I mean, ironically Shrek kinda goes into that direction with the first two movies. Shrek was not the "fated hero" to safe Fiona. But he did it anyway, because the actual hero was a bit too slow on hsi part.
Another way to do it would be: "Oh, hi, Chosen One. You decided to show up after all. Only you are 5 years late. Well, the world has already been destroyed." That is an interesting thing to come to as well.
Generally speaking, though, I think this is one of those, where you can do a whole lot of stuff if you just tried to play around with it a bit more.

rant about suite precure bc the way the fandom treats it is genuinely infuriating so warning for a kinda long post
first off, the main reason I've seen for people hating on the season is "hibiki and kanade fight way too much!" As if that's not the literal point. The first arc of the show is about them being able to fight in harmony but because of thier clashing personalities it makes it harder. It would be SO boring if they just immediately became best friends again after fighting for like a year, that's not how it works. No matter how good a friendship is you're gonna disagree with each other at some point. A show where no one ever fights and they're always getting along is just boring. Hibiki and Kanade's arguments in the end made thier bond stronger something you would know if you didn't drop it after the second episode.
Second, STOP HATING ON AKO FOR BEING "RUDE"! She isn't even that rude in the first place and like I said, if everyone never ever fought or argued it would've been incredible boring. Ako is very clearly traumatized from what happened to her dad and its shown that before Mephisto turned evil she was much happier and nicer and after she joins the main team you can see her slowly becoming less closed off towards people.
Third, "it's not dark enough!" First off, it's a show for little kids and that's always gonna be the target audience, and second off, ako losing both of her parents to evil at some point and see her dad mutate into a monster isn't dark??? Hummy literally almost DYING in the last episode isn't dark?? The trio literally getting KILLED isn't dark??? AND IN THE MOVIE MELODY DID DIE!
Alright here's my final point.
Suite isn't without its flaws, but a LOT of reasons it's hated are really surface level ate stupid. It's an incredible season and the characters actually feel like people and they actually were likable and memorable
I honestly wish more people would give it a chance because it is a good season but people just refuse to look past the parts they think make it "bad" and that's what pisses me off.

The other reason I think it's so nice that Satoru transformed is it probably wasn't the plan from the very beginning.
Him and Daifuku don't have Precure names, and the only real merch of them transformed they have are some acrylic stands (which got sold out so fast they started opening up pre-orders for another batch within a few days lmao), a card of them in the movie-branded candy toys and some stuff in the collab cafe.
We're past the Episode 30 powerup in the show, so even if they got the forms in the show now it probably wouldn't do much to affect the plot overall. And they don't start rolling out huge new merchandise lines this late into the series.
It kind of feels like a thing where they originally just had the intention of Satoru being a supporting character who the girls could go to for animal facts (and Daifuku for kids with bunnies to relate to) but then as they kept writing the season they realised how much he added to the group dynamic when he was around and then thought "actually he's just as motivated as the Precure to help people, it would be kind of cruel to not let him be a Precure at some point".
Like they seemed to have the same thought with Seiji in Happiness Charge, but for him it was only in the very tail-end of the series and as far as I remember he didn't really get any powers of his own, he just got possessed by darkness and then stayed in that outfit in the final battle.
Basically, the series could have easily gone without giving Satoru anything. But even if it's just vague fanservice that doesn't get officially named as them being Precure, they did go out of their way to come up with designs for them and let them have that moment of spotlight.
Honestly, even if they're not the same gender, I think audiences find themselves relating a lot to 'the character that doesn't have any superpowers but tries to help anyway'. They're more like 'us', after all. So giving them something really helps that feeling that 'anyone can be a Precure'. Even if you're not someone that Bandai will sell dolls of.
now when they'll show up in the show is a whole other question

what is your thoughts on sailor moon crystal now that it is over?
Awful beginning (arcs 1-2), good middle (arc 3), AMAZING ending (arcs 4-5).
I'm still so sad that Toei dropped the ball so hard on the first season/first two arcs because I feel like it just killed any momentum the reboot could have had. There was so much hype in the beginning, then the reboot became a joke when people saw the animation. Yes, the animation got better with the Blu-ray releases, but I'm so mad at Toei for rushing the animators and causing them to put out subpar work on a deadline knowing they could fix it later on.
I've heard so many anime fans who aren't into the magical girl scene express surprise that there were more seasons of the reboot, let alone that it got much better. Because most people tapped out as soon as they were disappointed by the first season.
I can't help but think the reboot would have fared much better and been more popular had Toei hired Kazuko Tadano from the start. I'll always be bitter that they held out so much in the beginning and put out a subpar first season.
Also, I'm going to echo other fans when they say that we really didn't need all the 90s anime pandering in the reboot. I was really looking forward to new transformation and attack animations (especially given how amazing Precure is in that department), but we just got re-animated 90s stuff. I wish Toei had been more confident about doing new things.
THAT BEING SAID, I really did enjoy the third season as well as the Eternal/Stars movies. Even the first two seasons are a lot better with the BD animation, even if I still hate some of the changes from the manga (Venus, my queen, you should have been the one to kill Beryl). The reboot series also brought in a glut of new merchandise, which my greedy ass GLEEFULLY bought up both online and at cons.
Also, I really hope that someday we'll get a Codename Sailor V anime (I'll even settle for a movie or an OVA).

Precure Daily's Seventh Anniversary
Seven. Years. I never fathomed this. Granted, it's not that I've done a whole lot in the last year except make empty promises, but I'm still alive, that counts for something. Precure was in an entirely different era when I began this, and now we are halfway through the third decade of the 21st century, and the third decade of Precure.
I know I say this every year but I didn't think I'd still be around this long when I started. The reason why has changed, but nonetheless, I didn't think I'd be here, and I'm still here, and that's pretty cool. I only published a handful of reviews last year, and have been kicking the last 4 episodes of 5 GoGo down the road for the better part of a year, but I have a plan.
I know I've spoken about my history before, but if you're new here, it goes something like this. I had the idea of watching all of Precure from the beginning kicking around in my head for a year or two before it finally came to fruition. As the 15th anniversary at the time, HUGtto felt like a good time to start going back April 10 was not a special day by any means, it's just the day I decided to sit down and watch FWPC episode 1. Initially I was just sharing my thoughts in a Facebook group, but I wanted it to be searchable and easily archived, so after about a week I moved over to Tumblr. FWPC season 1 is the only series I was able to watch consistently on time, around the time of Max Heart I began slipping a little more, Splash Star was hard to juggle with a new job, and I'll use COVID as my excuse for 5 and GoGo taking as long as they have. Also, the increased screenshots and desire to say more and contextualize more... it all got out of control, it's a beast of my own creation, and that's also why it fell apart. But I'll see it through to the end of GoGo.
As for what's happened in the last year of Precure for me....
Me and my friends finished Delicious Party as promised. I was being overly hard on it, the last arc was pretty good. I still don't think I'd rank it in the top 10, but it's fine. I didn't like them completely sidelining Black Pepper for the final fight, he could have been their Tuxedo Mask, but it we would get Wing the next year, so as a half step it's at least good that he was around for a lot of the show.
I was initially very dismissive of Wonderful, but even by this time last year I had started to warm up to it. I said then: "I don't think it's going to crack my top 10 but it should be a solid middle of the road series." I don't know where I'd place it, ultimately, but it's a quality series that broke some boundaries for the franchise. I haven't seen the movie yet, I hear it's very good.
Precure celebrated 1000 episodes! That's incredible. It's up there with One Piece and Case Closed in length now.
I still have not watched Otona Precure, I intend to watch if after I finish the reviews for GoGo and maybe share my thoughts on this blog as an epilogue. I HAVE watched....
Maho Girls Precure Mirai Days. I should rewatch it, in fact, because I kind of lost the plot at the end, but the central message about growing up and not getting stuck in the past is nice. I needed it. My main complaint are that the short length means the new designs for Ruby, Sapphire, and Topaz style don't get much time to shine since they so often go back to their primary Pink Diamond style; and that their young adult designs do not look different enough from their middle school designs, despite how drastically people tend to change between those ages.
I also rewatched Go! Princess Precure with my friends recently, which I consider my personal favorite series. It holds up quite well. Maybe I'll write about it someday.
I watched up to episode 3 of You & Idol Precure, but have not yet had the opportunity to continue. I hear good things about it, and it seems like a nice return to form for the series. I'll try to pick it back up soon.
Since I haven't seen much precure, I'm going to go ahead and talk about another project that's consumed a lot of my free time. I actually began this in 2024, but didn't mention it last year. I have been on a daily binge, watching the first entry of every tokusatsu franchise in order, since January 2024. I've gotten through Ultra Q, Ultraman, Kamen Rider (1971), Goranger, Kikaider, Red Baron, Space Sheriff Gavan, Gridman, and I'm currently working on Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, the 2003 live action series. This has certainly contributed to the delay in PCD. I haven't been 100% consistent with watching every episode of that project ON the day, I've fallen behind and caught back up, but what's important is that I HAVE caught up and been able to maintain the schedule. It helps that I'm not writing about it. It makes me think of an alternate timeline where PCD never moved off of facebook, or where I kept watching but stopped writing about it, maybe I would have caught up. But whatever. I don't regret the choices that brought me here, I made some real friends through this project, and I'm forever grateful for that.
Lastly, here's my TV and film recommendations from the last year.
Dan da Dan
Delicious in Dungeon
Brave Bang Bravern
Girls Band Cry

Thanks as always to my friends that I made through this project and those who continue to support me: SailorZombieStar, VertixScribe, Painted Outlaw, Amara Wolfe, and Nono-Bunny; as well as all my followers. I wouldn't be here without you.

ROUND 4A, MATCH 1 OUT OF 2!

*Includes the original 1950 animated film, the 2002 sequel Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, and the 2007 sequel Cinderella III: A Twist in Time.
Propaganda Under the Cut:
Disney's Cinderella:
she is very iconic, she is super kind and has a beautiful dress
Submitting specifically because Cinderella III: A Twist in Time has lived rent-free in my head ever since I was a small child.
This Cinderella is most young (western) peoples introduction to this very story. Cinderella is so hopeful and by getting one small magical adventure, her whole life changes for the better. She is skilled and inspires such loyalty with her kindness that it’s hard to dislike her for any reason she gives. I’ve always been jealous of her ball hairdo too.
Walt Disney put all he had into this movie. And his favorite animation was the dress transformation scene. There’s a reason she is often front and center on the Princess group promotions.
she is the original. to me. probably the first exposure to cinderella for a solid chunk of people alive & on tumblr today. she is just a perfect encapsulation of everything that cinderella is, even if she's become warped in the public consciousness. also i'm pretty sure she's the reason why the glass slippers are so predominant in more recent retellings bc she is simply so iconic. 100/10 no notes 💜
She's maybe not the OG OG but she was one of the first animated Disney princesses and strangely enough it doesn't stop her from having an amazing personality. She's literally a slave but keeps being a nice person, forgiving and always doing her best. And the sequels absolutely didn't ruin her character. She's a sweet girl who tries to fit in but who's loyal to the person she is and who tries to change things always in a cute and sweet way to show people it's not that hard. She literally forgave Anastasia and tried to help her after all she did to her (the scene where the step-sisters destroy her dress still is terrifying to me)... she's awesome and deserves more recognition honestly...
(Mod's note: the following submitted specifically for Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, but I condensed the animated movies into one entry.) No she is not the same as the original Cinderella of 1950. This girl’s biggest chance was unfairly snatched away from her. When the Prince was brainwashed she was enough to get him to double take. She was so Right that their connection over powered magic. And she had to be rescued from a ship. And was almost crushed within a pumpkin! And finally had to expose another imposter, who turned out to be just another victim of Lady Trameine. This Cinderella fought harder for her love because she knew what True Love was like and she still was able to forgive those who asked for it.
(Mod's note: the following submitted specifically for Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, but I condensed the animated movies into one entry.) Listen yes it's the same Cinderella from 1950 but she has an arc in this one! It's Disney's greatest film!!
Listen I love them both but the animated Cinderella definitly shine in every single movie she has. And she has 3.
Vote for Cinderella because she deserves it and is still underrated in the Disney Princesses Franchise when she survived so much (ab*se... Lady Tremaine still terrifies me and she doesn't even have magical powers except when she steals the magic wand in Cinderella 3) Also one vote for Cinderella is one jump outside the window Henri is ready to do. Yes it's real.
Disney animated the original fairytale but definitely made it more magical and less creepy (like the birds making the step sisters blind? It gave me nightmares for ages). If I think: which one will I want to rediscover multiple times? Disney's Cinderella. Plus Cinderella 3 is a masterpiece.
Mofurun as "Mofurella"
listen. they do an episode where they're all sucked into Cinderella and they make the trans teddy bear Cinderella. Incredible story writing, 10/10, no notes.
Mofurdella is even plot relevant, that episode is how they get the Rainbow Carriage for their group attack anyway MOFURDELLA FIRST CINDERELLA PRECURE EPISODE TO GET ONE MOFURILLION VOTES

It is time for
This time the event will be hosted by the green Cure Ocs, who got a little attention this year.
Mahou anime of the year:
(Wonderful Precure!, Heartcatch Precure!, Precure movies (All Stars F, Mahou Tsukai series movie), Märchen Mädchen, Sasaki & Peeps, MahoAko, MahoAku, MahoNare, Acro Trip, Magilumiere, Samurai Flamenco)
Manga:
(Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card, Shugo Chara Dream Joker, Magical Girl Dandelion, Mermaid Melody Aqua, Champignon Witch, Pretty Guardian Stress, Who Said Blues had to be Cool)
Other:
(Magical Girl Raising Project Aces, W.i.t.c.h. reboot vol2, Mermaid Melody Encore)
While 2023 was an extremely Precure year this was the opposite and I only barely managed to finish one of the backlog seasons. I'm hoping to get back on track next year and finish the remaining two, and then we're off to new adventures when that opens up slots for a different kid show mahou franchise. It'll be exciting to see which one it ends up being, I guess Doremi has a chance since I already started the first season, but that was also on a whim so anything else can also happen.
We had quite a few contests this year, starting with the favourite Precure (won by Cure La Mer), and there was the Miss Meguca contest about their outfits, with select few major characters from MagiReco (won by Madoka). And that was followed by Miss Meguca contest for casual outfits (won by Konomi) and Halloween outfits (won by Darkness Mitama). And then there was the Christmas outfits, which is still ongoing because I didn't quite have a good moment to put up the final round... Sorry about that, it'll be way out of season once it concludes but that's how it sometimes goes.
I also planned a Magireco swimsuit contest for summer, but since the game shut down at that time I thought it would have been kind of mean since I predict the air around it to be kind of negative. But I'll probably do that next summer.
Magireco shutting down was a shame since even if I didn't play, it had been a good source for new mahou designs. Though new stuff had really slowed down so it wasn't exactly a surprise.
We also had a little Halloween event with my mahou OCs, and looking for video game food items for it was a lot of fun.
Then it's time for the awards!
Best henshin design goes to the main character's Snow White transformation from Märchen Mädchen! Truly an S-tier design that has a lot of good elements but still isn't overdesigned. Let's point out the asymmetry, pale colour palette and white hair, slight gradient, winged shoes and flower colour accents. The miniskirt + long train makes foor a great combo too, it's still recognisable as a magical girl but also looks super cool.
Honourable mention to Berry Blossom from Acro Trip for the simple but super cute strawberry outfit.
Best team design goes to Heartcatch Precure! They're simple and recognisable and also include the season's flower theme.

I also want to give a shoutout to Wonderful Precure because for the first time in like a decade the Cure outfits have a recognisable visual theme going on.
Best powerup design goes to Wonderful Precure Diamond Ribbon style! I like that they're more uniform (probably too uniform since only the skirt part is different but whatever) and I'm a big fan of the way the skirt colours make a gradient.
Also not a powerup but I don't think it's something that needs its own category, but a special mention to the evil clones from the W.i.t.c.h. reboot, I'm always ready for slightly altered designs of the main characters.
Best civilian design goes to Tsubomi, specifically because of her glasses! I just can't get over what a great design element they are, and she even wore them far more often than I expected. I thought she'd completely swap them for contact lenses for marketability but no, they regularly showed up through the season!

Best school uniform goes to Mahonare! It's cute and looks refreshingly different from usual and thus fitting for a magical school. Plus look at the cute little hat! And girls can opt for poofy shorts too!
Honourable mention for the warm brown palette of the Wonderful Precure uniform, plus also giving the shorts option for girls.
Best hair goes to Yuki's civilian hair from Wonderful Precure! For being simple and elegant. I also like her Cure hair except for the "sideburns" whose length feels a bit awkward.
A honourable mention to the little stars in Byakuya's hair in MahoAku.
Best magical item goes to Byakuya's staff from MahoAku! It's simple and doesn't look like a plastic toy.
Hibana's staff (also from MahoAku) isn't bad either.
Best henshin scene goes to Byakuya from MahoAku! It's well animated and and the glowing stars are beautiful.
youtube
A shout out to Heartcatch for giving Tsubomi and Erika unique animation for their dual transformation instead of just splicing scenes from their individual henshins together.
Best fan creation goes to Mermaid Melody Encore! It has the benefit for being an extremely favourable comparison to the canon sequel, but it has a lot going for it outside that too, with an interesting premise, likable characters and appealing art.
Best relationship goes to... do I have to give this to SatoIro? I'm not a shipper and I couldn't care less about Iroha, but the confession and date episodes were really good.
Alternatively, Luna and Lis from from Champignon Witch have a really interesting tragic and complicated relationship.
Best mascot goes to Daifuku from Wonderful Precure! Has a quiet but powerful presence, indomitable, doesn't have a shrill voice, never does anything annoying, has an appealing colour scheme and perpetually looks kind of grumpy. This is peak mascot performance.

And since she photobombed the picture, let's also say that Niko has a really funny personality. And I guess a shout out to Wonderful Precure in general for doing something different with the mascots this year.
Best supporting character goes to Shade from Magical Girl Dandelion! I regret to tell I like his tumblr sexyman design and he has a super interesting and fresh dynamic with the main girl.
Best visual goes to the MahoAku title cards! There's somehow a lovely retro vibe to them.

In the general visual category I considered both Mahonare and Mahoaku. Mahonare has a more unique look, but since anime is supposed to be moving pictures I do have to dock some points due to the fact that the animation is clearly struggling. Meanwhile Mahoaku's lovely pastel style is less distinct but also looks consistently good even in moving form.
Best audio goes to All for One Forever from Precure movie F. This song slaps and makes the fight scene it accompanies incredibly epic.
youtube
"Conflict between light and darkness" from the Heartcatch OST is also a beautiful piece of music and "Fight for the future" gets you pumped up for a big fight.
The Innovation award is given to a magical girl work that I think does something fresh for the genre. This year it goes to Magical Girl Dandelion for its extremely fresh premise that still doesn't feel too tropey.
The Golden Mana award is the prize given to one thing I didn’t like.
This year it goes to the entirety of Mermaid Melody Aqua. I know I already awarded it to Lucia's design specifically a few years ago and in general I'm trying to avoid repeats, but frankly it would be disingenious to act like Aqua didn't deserve it this year since it turned out to be one of my least favourite manga ever. There's the awful heroine and irritating or irrelevant side cast, the awkward art, the weird fanservice, the lacking storytelling… the list goes on.
Dishonourable mention to the stupid side cast of Mahoaku.
Best character goes to Cure Blossom! The rare shy main Cure, great character arc, lovely design (the glasses!) and in general super sympathetic and likeable. I hope she won't remain the only of her kind among the franchise!

Best work goes to Champignon Witch! Much deliberation went on among the one-person council of Mahou Furbies if it should be eligible for any of the awards since it's clearly not a magical girl series, but then again neither is Petite Princess Yucie and I rewarded it last year. So let it be known that from now on anything I deem mahou enough to warrant a review post on this blog is also qualified for awards.
But anyway, Champignon Witch has a lovely fairytale setting, unique story, likable characters, magical art, melancholic mood and S-tier outfits. I'm really looking forward to the anime next year!
If you think only actual magical girl works should qualify, then you can think that Magical Girl Dandelion is the winner; so far there aren't a lot of chapters out of it yet so even on that grounds it might be a bit too early for it, but for what there is to judge I've liked everything about it. Heartcatch Precure is also a good contender, but it does have the typical kid show tropes holding it back so it's harder for a Precure season to win when there's actual competition aimed at an older audience.
Plans for 2025:
I also intend to get back to MagiPro, finally reading Aces was really fun but then I hit the Episodes filler books and the progress halted.
The new Madoka Exedra game is also coming out, though I'm not particularly excited. I have no intention of playing it (gacha eww), and also since it's 3D I'm under the impression that adding new characters requires more effort, which would probably mean less new or obscure characters and more focus on the old favourites.
Art-wise I want to create the missing green Cures for the three newest seasons at least, and also finally do something more with the DPPC. Though that's what I say every year...

Something endlessly fascinating to me is Prims unspoken thoughts on Puka throughout the movie. There is so much there that just isnt addressed, and i feel a little bonkers pointing and talking about nothing but i need someone to hear me out. At the start of the timeline, shorty after Pukas creation, Prim is pretty blunt about their opinion towards Puka. Useless, weak. Incapable. It’s made clear they have no problem destroying the things they create. Citing the Ark minion they destroyed moments before without a second thought, and several times again later in the movie. So why would they not destroy Puka? They said it themself, Puka is not of use to them. So why. Why did they let them leave. They had all the intention of destroying them, and yet they did not. i dont think they know why. i dont think they forget this decision either.
During the soup scene with Team Sky around the fire, they stare at kome-kome for an uncomfortably long period of time. They were definitely thinking about something during that interaction. It was probably Puka. This is the first interaction theyve had with an actual fairy, and it would be hard not to be reminded of the one you just abandoned. But they don’t feel regret, but rather confusion as they compare kome-komes character to Pukas. Did they even know fairies could talk before kome-kome? There is something uniquely messed up about Prim making a partner for themself that they could not communicate with. They do not understand Precure, let alone the dynamic they have with their fairies. Prim only sees fairies as an extension of Precure, another asset to be used, and when Puka could not demonstrate their desired purpose, they are simply deemed useless and discarded.
You can see Prim questioning this dynamic further as Team Sky progresses. Judging every action from a distance, and not understanding a single element of it. What basis would they even have to go off. There is an unfathomable amount of distance between the lives of the Precure of Earth and the existence of what is essentially an eldritch space god.
The scene where they reunite in the town is very chilling. Puka is clearly nervous beforehand, nervous about being so close to the center of it all. They know Prim will be here, and they dont want to reunite. Its been made obvious time and time again, even if the rest of the cast does not realize this. When Pukas group is noticed, Prim doesnt attack, or seemed upset in any way. Just confused. Why would this failed fairy dare to cross paths with them again. Dont they know that theyre lucky to be alive? Its foolish to re approach an enemy you cannot beat. Even the Ark minions are scared of Prim, what is this fairies deal. Puka deliberately destroying the street shows just how much they understand this. Their powers are controlled by their emotions, and are activated by the fear they feel seeing Prim again, but theyre used purposefully to create an escape route. Prim only stares as they fall, despite being met with another chance to destroy Puka. And yet they dont, it’s clear they dont think of them as a threat whatsoever. I do not think that means they stop thinking about them. There is something about Puka that Prim cannot acknowledge, because they can’t even recognize it in the first place When the others are concerned after the street collapse, Prim cant comprehend why the Precure care about their friends. Its such a foreign emotion to them, they could not recognize it even when faced with it. I dont believe anything Prim has done up to this point was out of a desire to harm people with the purpose of making them upset, and this includes Puka too. Sure, the things they do are upsetting, but they dont understand that. They just Do. They want an outcome, and emotions are not even considered nor felt by them. But Pukas creation has lead to them questioning things they had never thought to consider before. Something is changing, and Prim has yet to notice.
The reveal scene in the castle is just Prim reiterating what they already thought of Puka, and the thought process behind their creation. I believe its by this point in the movie Prim has more ill intent behind their actions. They dont understand the emotional weight behind their words and actions, but, they are going out of their way to point Puka out, and show off their strength to the Precure. I could go into a whole separate ramble about how i think Prims emotions have evolved by this point, but that is a separate topic, this is just focusing on their thoughts on Puka. The first time Puka stands up to Prim is fun. Up until now, Prim hasnt seen them do a single thing other than destroy the road. That is nothing compared to their own abilities, there isnt anything Puka could possibly do to defeat them. Prim has separated themself so much from Puka, they seem to forget about the power they went out of their way to share during their creation. Its the intent behind that power that matters, and what they cannot understand about Puka. Why they are so different. Because Puka embodies all the aspects of Precure Prim cannot understand. There are a lot of thoughts that I could go into as to what Puka symbolizes in the wider scope of their their dynamic, and their relation to Supreme Origin, but ill touch more on that later.
Prim underestimates and doubts Pukas abilities over and over again, even as they scales start to tilt out of their favor. To Prim, these new developments and the Precure reviving is unexpected and surprising. But interesting, and fun? This is the first time theyve ever felt this way about any opponent theyve faced. Its what makes the Precure unique and interesting to them. They cannot sense how much they’ve already changed due to this intrigue alone, and how they are starting to loose. How Puka is stronger than they think, forgetting about their presence again as the battle intensifies. Prim finally acknowledges their feelings when Puka stands in their way and intercepts an attack. Feelings from all the way back during their initial confrontation. They knew they should have destroyed Puka back then. They did not forget that decision, it blatantly went against everything they stand for. It continued to linger with every interaction that reminded them of Puka. why didnt they do it. They don’t know why they let them go. Theyve been excusing this choice by downplaying Puka and pushing their doubts onto Pukas incapability. But Prim is wrong about Puka and their potential, and letting them live is the biggest “mistake” Supreme ever made. And while they try to correct that mistake, its too late, and Prim is forced to learn the hard way through defeat. They are incapable of predicting anything Puka does due to their fundamental misunderstanding of Precure. There is again, a lot to be said about how Pukas Precure transformation highlights all of Prims shortcomings, but I’m stopping myself. Im not really sure what Prim is feeling by the end of the movie. Probably very confused, to put it lightly. You know that dazed feeling you get when you wake up from a very intense fever dream? What is interesting about where the two of them are by the end of the movie, is that it feels like Puka had a very satisfying character arc, while Prim just got redeemed suddenly? It seems like the wrong way to conclude the story of a villain who caused this much destruction. It was actually the original intent of the writers to kill Prim off at the end, but they realized it went against the message of the movie.
Prims development is unspoken. The state of their character by the end of the movie is more of an awakening, and its now their turn to start their second chance. Puka sees themself in Prim in a way Prim has failed to realize every time theyve crossed paths. Puka now sees a confused, lost person in a world they dont understand, with no one to turn to who was suddenly given a second chance. This mirrors where Puka was left at the beginning of the movie. Prim realizes by now that something within them is different, they recognize their goals were not what they thought they were. Pukas creation and Prims inability to destroy them was the start of both Prim and Pukas emotional journeys. Puka represents the insecurities Prim feels about their own abilities that they never bothered to acknowledge existed. Seeing something they created as an extension of themself turn out so different would be shocking. They did not realize this at the time, but they mostly likely saw themself in Puka, and they hesitated at this. I don’t know what feeling may have caused this, but it shocked Prim enough for them to pause and change their mind. And as much as they try to justify the choice, it was an unusual one for them to make, and Prim knows that. It’s what haunts them throughout the whole movie. And to see what you previously thought of as useless transform into the very thing youve been desiring to attain before your eyes must be incredible.
With a new perspective, they accept the words of the fairy that beat them at their own game. It was the only way Puka could have gotten through to them, and its clear Prim is not upset about loosing to the Precure or the fairy they regarded as weak up until this point. Because if Prim can recognize anything, its strength, and seeing it on full display gives them a new respect for Puka. They now realize exactly how little they seem to understand about any of this Precure stuff, and Puka seems to have figured out what they could not. Prim has a lot of pride, but they can accept being wrong if it means learning the answer. All theyve been trying to do this whole movie is understand. And while this development in their new life was, unexpected, accepting Pukas invitation to start over seems like the first correct step towards learning about themself.
