drowsed and drugged out on migraine medication and for what. music sounds the same

#my opinions on every drug depend on whether or not they make music sound better #never forget the disappointment of my friend saying the first time he smoked weed he was watching the simpsons and the theme tune #sounded amazing apparently. and i was like that sounds unreal ykw first time i get high I'm gonna listen to all my favourite songs #and then when i did get high many years later it just made time slow down so i'd get like 10 seconds into a song and feel like #why has this song been playing for like the past 7 minutes they haven't even got to the chorus yet #i was sooooooo bored in my bedroom couldn't listen to music couldn't find any show entertaining and also i couldn't go downstairs bc #my friend was in the kitchen having a weed panic attack and had thrown up in the sink and i didn't wanna be near him lol #(there were many people looking after him dw i wasn't just Leaving him down there to deal with it himself)#but anyway. so all i could do was lie on my bed for what felt like 5 hours waiting to get sober #then i watched russian ark and it was like the best film I'd ever seen but other than that. dead experience #I've never tried any other drug except add medication and migraine medication but they were both prescribed and like #i was taking them for their intended purpose but like. idk the migraine medication is making me all hwjhehhwhowoho in my bed #but music sounds the same #not even high or anything #i can't be bothered to take any drugs tbh i just feel like i'll either get bored or anxious or somehow both and like. idek #alcohol #i can't be bothered to type anymore i'm on migraine meds #but yeah i'll stick to alcohol i know where i stand with her #ramble #drugs tw

percy doing better than annabeth in college is one my favorite developments in the rrverse. if we reflect on percy and annabeth's academic upbringing. annabeth living at camp allowed her to receive accommodations for her adhd and dyslexia and surround herself with like-minded campers who had the same limitations. whereas percy was ridiculed, belittled, and routinely humiliated because of his adhd and dyslexia. even more so, percy's friends and family leave him out of the loop on so many important issue (no chb orientation film, no information about the great prophecy) which perpetuates his subpar confidence and self-esteem in his skills as a student and a demigod. but going to college at NRU changes his mindset because he receives the accommodations he should have gotten years ago and fucking thrives to the point of getting higher grades than annabeth — a person he deems way smarter and more prepared than him in every way. the most important thing percy is learning now is that a supportive environment makes all the difference, and he is more capable than he initially thought.

#in no way is this me trying to diminsh annabeth's struggles #because she canonically does #but she also has access to resources that accomdate her learning disabilities #whereas percy never did #even in an environment where demigods are supposed to be on equal footing because of their shared struggles #percy often gets the short end of the stick because no has properly prepared him for anything #he canonically has to figure shit out on his own and that pisses me offc #but nru gives him the accommodations and opportunity and environment to thrive #and he does so well that he earns higher grades than annabeth #somebody percy holds in high regard #this development proves percy and annabeth are canonically on par with each other academically and that they always were #what an amazing decision #percy jackon and the olympians #pjo text post #pjo #percy jackson #annabeth chase #percy getting higher grades than annabeth #loves this for him #he deserves to thrive in the mortal world and our boy is doing it

I recall saying this before, but it bears repeating:

There could be a billion trans people in the world and it still wouldn't be a bad thing because being trans is not a bad thing. Even if the rate of people discovering they are trans is "disproportionate" to trends from decades ago, that is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a natural consequence for there being more trans people being able to stay alive, and, overall, being able to live in a slightly more tolerant world. You'd only see that as a bad thing if you actively didn't want trans people to either live or live a life that facilitates wellness.

george rexstrew deserves awards for many things but i have to say. edwin’s bloodcurdling scream as niko gets killed deserves a whole award unto itself. like. that scream did not feel at all like a tv show scream. to a somewhat jarring degree. and i can’t express how much I respect that

#he has a number of very convincing screams and suffering noises which I imagine was an important prerequisite for the role #but this one is just especially chilling and again. jarring. not saying that the other actors are bad or anything but no one even comes #close to competing with george and its stark in moments like this #another screaming moment that I thought he did really well in particular is far easier to gloss over and that’s #when he and charles are escaping hell and he almost gets dragged down into lust #when he’s screaming out for charles he borderline SCREECHES #throughout that arc in general it’s just incredible but yeah #I think part of what makes it so convincing is that he isn’t afraid to be high pitched and genuinely Scream rather than yell #like. he is clearly immune to being put off by ‘you scream like a girl’ rhetoric #I think a lot of male actors avoid screaming and screeching like that for that internalized reason when. if you wanna be as realistic as #possible. a scream is high pitched. if you’re scared for your fucking life it’s just involuntary #I can also see it being uncommon due to difficulties getting that sound adequately recorded but yeah anyway you get my point #tldr: george rexstrew is great at disturbingly realistic screaming and I applaud him for that #I really hope he didn’t have to retake that part too many times..#his poor throat……….#george rexstrew #edwin #edwin payne #dead boy detectives #dead boy detectives spoilers
