Maple Bacon Turkey Roast with Port Bacon, Apple and Mushroom Stuffing
Tumblr media
De-boning turkey legs to make this Maple Bacon Turkey Roast with Port Bacon, Apple and Mushroom Stuffing take a bit of work and effort, but having the skin between the flesh and the bacon makes a delicious difference. The flesh is incredibly juicy and flavourful, and this pièce de résistance of our Thanksgiving meal, particularly stunning!
Ingredients (serves 8 to 10):
2 (1-kilo/2-pound) turkey legs
a good pinch of fleur de sel or sea salt flakes and freshly cracked black pepper
about 1 1/2 cup
about 16 strips smoked streaky bacon
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion
1 cup water
4 tablespoons pure (Grade A) Canadian Maple Syrup
Preheat oven to 210°C/ 410°F.
Thoroughly de-bone turkey legs, keeping the skin on. Flatten both turkey pieces and lay them flat, joining both vertically onto cutting board or work surface. Season with fleur de sel and black pepper.
Spoon Port Bacon, Apple and Mushroom Stuffing in the centre, and roll turkey roast upwards as tightly as possible. Completely wrap with bacon strips. Tie with twine.
Peel onion, cut into slices, and scatter at the bottom of a large roasting tin.
Sit turkey roast onto the onion slices, and drizzle generously with olive oil. Rub oil gently all over the bacon.
Pour half of the cup of water at the bottom of the dish, and place in the middle of the hot oven. Roast, 1 hour, at 210°C/ 410°F.
Generously brush roast with Maple Syrup, and pour remaining water at the bottom of the dish. Return to the oven, along with the stuffing, and roast, another 30 minutes at 210°C/ 410°F, regularly brushing with Maple Syrup and basting with cooking juices.
Serve Maple Bacon Turkey Roast with Port Bacon, Apple and Mushroom Stuffing hot with Stuffing, Maple Poultry Gravy, Apple-Cranberry Sauce, Vanilla Whipped Parsnips and Honey Roasted Pumpkin. Happy Thanksgiving!

The turkey gave a good dance on stage, he also accused that some wanted to hunt him and others hid their weapons and made innocent faces.
Since some of them couldn't eat the turkey, this happened.
Big bad wolf wanted to eat the 3 little pigs
The hyenas were chasing Pumbaa
Kha wanted to eat Mowgli
When Mickey made the classic turkey noise some people wanted to hunt him like
The bid bad wolf
Gaston
Gus the goose
Shenzi, ed and banzai
Then Mickey ran off dressed as a turkey while they chased him

Duckvember - Yucky, Diner, Zealous, Community, Tranquil, Brother and Curious Duck (Ducks) - Thanksgiving Day and the meeting of the Pilgrims with the Native Americans in Duckverse
I'm late, and sorry for that, but I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, it is celebrated every fourth Thursday in November (in the US), while in Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday in October. If anyone remembers my drawing from last year: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/702120382036131840/duckvember-rural-holiday-and-shy-duck
Yes, and it follows on from last year's drawing, but with a different outcome, as it depicts this as a celebration of the First Thanksgiving, which took place in November 1621, when the Pilgrims thanked the Indians for taking care of them and giving them food during the strong last winter. And here you can see Native Americans and Pilgrims celebrating the day together, with me drawing them as ducks. And the Pilgrims ducks provide food that they prepared for the Native Americans. And yes, it's like my redraw from the genius artwork by American painter Jean Leon Gerome Ferris who painted the first Thanksgiving. Since not all the characters fit in one drawing, I made a separate drawing of the kids playing, throwing mud, chasing the turkey, and enjoying Thanksgiving. Although I know that this holiday causes controversy, I must again emphasize that the mishaps between settlers and Native Americans were not as pronounced in the 17th century as they were in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Yes, the first drawing shows Native American Donald and Daisy Duck, while the Pilgrims side shows Donald, Daisy and Della Duck wearing 17th century clothing. Another drawing features mischievous Huey, Dewey and Louie who are both Native Americans and Pilgrims, Webby Vanderquack and Honker Muddlefoot as Pilgrims and Gosalyn Mallard as a Native American. And there is also the unfortunate turkey and the Bolivar dog that came to America, although Bernadine dogs are only mentioned in the second half of the 17th century.
I hope you like these drawings and once again Happy Thanksgiving! If you like these drawings, feel free to like and reblog this!

Thanksgiving Day - Donald and His Nephews - Grown Up Webby (Ducktales-Gift for My Friend)
Although I'm late, I certainly wish everyone who celebrates (especially the good ol' Americans) a Happy Thanksgiving! For that, I redraw a scene from one of my favorite classic 1938 shorts "Donald's Nephews" where Donald and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie eat turkey and maybe chicken. I know what you mean but they are anthropomorphic ducks but yes in my headcanon the triplets would rebel against their uncle why they have to eat their own kind because that is cannibalism. Don't worry, although controversial, it's still partly funny. Cartoon and Comic logic! Lol. And yes, I added a portrait of Daisy Duck on the wall, because it is Donald's house after all.
The second drawing is Webby Vanderquack as an adult and is actually Webby from the Ducktales 2017 version, although it resembles the original version from the episode "Duck to the Future", where the adult Webby appears. Yeah, that future isn't canon, it's more of an alternate future. The only bad thing I did was the fingers, I'm still practicing on that drawing. Sorry! By the way, a gift for @alexcanine, who asked me to draw a grown-up Webby.
I hope you like these drawings and have a happy Thanksgiving!
