I just saw black panther and let me tell you that I fell in love with Namor and everytime he appeared on screen I was screaming internally, I was wondering if you could write something silly like the reader gives him a rock every time she sees him because on a trip to the surface she saw a couple giving each other gifts and hugging at the end and she thought a rock was the equivalent of that, please please please
I can’t speak, afraid to jinx it (Namor x f!reader)

Namor was beginning to noticing this strange thing about you, no matter where he was or what was he doing, if you passed him you would stop and give him a small rock with a huge smile on your face.
It had started the moment you first were put in charge with helping him recollect a few things from the sinking boat that was closer to his city. Namor was waiting for you at the borders, his hands on his back as his eyes were looking at the calmness of the waters when he heard you humming a soft tune as you approached. He turned around and watched you struggle with at least ten bags on your arms. When he told you that he needed you to bring a few bags to carry the stuff, he was imagining you would bring two, not ten. He couldn’t help but smile at your determination.
“K'eeban tumen k'uchul chúunk'iin!” Sorry for being late! You quickly swam to his side, his eyes watching curiously as you tried to suppress your labored breaths. “Utia'al u completamente honesto, k'uchen tu k'iinili' ba'ale' in distraje.” To be completely honest, I was on time but I got distracted. You cheekily smiled. “Ya'ab in wu'uyik K’uk’ulkan.” I’m really sorry.
“English.” He told you once again and had to bit his tongue to suppress his laughter when you huffed. “You asked me to teach you and I am doing that.”
“Stupid English.” You muttered under your breath. Your hands quickly adjusted the bags on your shoulder. “Can we just go?” Your hand motioned the waters. “I do not want to be there when is dark, sharks bite then.”
Namor held out his hand so you could give him a few bags but you held them closer to you. “Let me help you, and sharks do not bite if you do not annoy them.” He managed to take a few bags from you, adjusting them at his shoulder and began to swim.
You gasped at his words and at his actions. “Sharks do bite! One bit me a few days ago on my leg, I have a scar to prove it…you even saw it, you said it was amazing.”
“Those words have never left my mouth.” Namor was smiling at your tantrum but managed to hide it as his face never left the waters.
“Uh, yes they have.” You managed to caught up with him, swimming at his side. You noticed his smile. “What are we recollecting?”
“Whatever we find useful.” He stated as que stopped, you following suit. “I will check if there are threats, stay here.” Namor didn’t wait for your answer as he quickly swam away, leaving you there with all the bags once again.
You huffed but decided to listen to him, your eyes looking at everything that surrounded you, there were a few fishes out there, thankfully no sharks, the corals looked bright and the sand too inviting to lay just there. But then you saw it, it was shiny and a beautiful turquoise color, you quickly tried to find Namor but he was still away, you bit your lip in concentration and decided to just go for it.
Your hands quickly grabbed the tiny and shiny object, your thumb carefully swiping away any left-over sand, your eyes widening before quicky putting it inside of one of the bags and swam to where Namor was calling you.
As you would expected, the recollection of things from that boat was completely boring, your eyes often diverting towards Namor, you admitted that he looked quite good, completely concentrated in this activity. When he was completely secure that there wasn’t anything more to salvage, he nodded at you and both of you left.
Namor took the bags from you when he left you at your home, you bit your lip and without thinking you grabbed his arm. He looked at you in confusion.
“I have a gift.” You quietly said. Your hands fumbled with one of the bags that you refused to give him. Finally retrieving the tiny rock. “Found it there, I think you will love it.”
He looked at you for a moment, his eyes following your hands as they put the rock on his palm and close his fingers against it. You gave him a last smile before entering your home and leaving him there, watching at the door.
And so it began.
Every single time you saw him, you always gave him a rock, it didn’t matter the size, the color or the weight, you always gave him one. At first he was confused at why you were giving them to him but he began appreciate them after you failed to give him one after one day.
He was swimming with Attuma at his side, the later telling him about the improvements they were making with the protection of the barriers, Namor was glad that everything was going within the plan.
“Táan in planeando bisik u kantúulo'on ti' leti'ob utia'al inspeccionar u máquina u kajnáalilo'ob le superficie decidieron túuxtik tak ka'anal.” I am planning to take four of them to inspectionate the machine the surface-dwellers decided to send from above. Attuma stopped for a second, pointing to the ones he wanted to take. “Chéen k'áabet u t'aan aprobación bey ma' táanil.” Just need your word of approval before proceeding.
Namor was about to speak but he managed to see you approaching them, his fingers were tingling with anticipation, imagining what kind of rock you would give him today, the corner of his mouth was twitching upwards, a smile he wanted to suppress at the presence of Attuma. But he failed.
Attuma watched in amusement at how his king was acting, he would have laughed if you hadn’t approached them. You smiled at them before swimming away. That’s when he saw his face and couldn’t help but laugh.
“Bejla'e' ma' jach juntúul roca, huh?” Not a rock today, huh? Attuma patted his back. “Ma' xaan ka' leti' a ts'áaik juntúul sáamal.” Perhaps she will give you one tomorrow.
“Bix a wojel?” How do you know? Namor asked him, his voice completely annoyed at the missing rock on his hand.
“Tu ya'alaj teen ka tu yilaj le kajnáalilo'obo' le superficie ts'a regalos, tu tukultaj u a gustaban le tunicho'ob ken aceptaste le primera.” She told me she saw the surface-dwellers give gifts, she thought you liked rocks when you accepted the first one. Attuma simply said, trying his hardest to not laugh again.
“Juntéen, wáaj bix supiste?” Again, how did you know?
“Leti' tu ya'alaj teen, ku pinchamos kaaye' globo sáastale'.” She told me, we usually poke pufferfish at dawn. He shrugged, swimming away.
What?
Namor was pacing through his cave, he was going absolutely mad, it now has been twelve days since you had given him a rock. He didn’t know what was happening, why did you stopped? Had the rocks you been seen weren’t up to your standard? He didn’t care, he wanted them.
He couldn’t help but sighed, his eyes turning to his small (HUGE) collection of rocks, he had been keeping them protected since you had given him them. But he wanted more, was he being selfish? Hell yeah, but this was something you had given the thought, you searched each one of them, you put your mind into looking for the perfect one before giving them to him.
So he went to look for you, he couldn’t find you anywhere in the city, a few of his people were looking at him strange as he began asking for you. But your mother was kind enough to point at your location.
Near the corals, she had said.
So he quickly swam there, and there you were, poking at pufferfish with Attuma. He needed to give you a reminder to not do that.
“Cha' k.” Leave us. Namor told Attuma, it was more like a order.
Attuma watched him and then you, before nodding. A huge smile on his face as he left.
“K’uk’ulkan?” You asked him confused, a stick on your hand. “Tu láakal ba'ax ma'alo'ob.?” Everuthing alright?
“English.” He told you, you noticed how tense he was, but still huffed and nodded. “Why did you stop?”
“Stop?” You tilted your head. “Stop what?”
“Rocks.”
You stared at him, you simple shrugged, not really knowing what to say.
“You have not given me any rock in twelve days, why?” He took a step closer to you. “Did something happened? Are they not in your standards? I do not mind what kind of rock you give me.”
“Oh.” You whispered, adverting your eyes. “Is not it.”
“Then what is it?” He grabbed your hands. “I do not care what you give me, but please do not stop.”
You sighed. “My mother say it is not nice to give rocks to someone…so I stopped.”
“Do not.” He whispered, “Please.”
You stared at his hands before looking upwards at his eyes. A tiny smile formed on your face. “Stick?” You gently raised the stick you were holding.
Namor couldn’t help but smile, taking the stick on his hands. “Thank you.” You smiled. “But now, why are you pocking pufferfish? Did you don’t know the dangerous things they could do to you?”
You sighed.

They ended up south of the hospital mainly because Dean had to pick a direction when they pulled out of the lot and, considering the day he’d had, a coinflip was as good a way to make a decision as anything. A motel even if it’s two in the afternoon, and two beds because it’s always two beds, and he drops his bags on the one closer to the door and wants to flop face-first straight into the ugly brown comforter but he feels like if he falls he’ll never get up again. His shoulders and low back and the arches of his feet all hurt. He hardly even had to fight, today. Go figure.
Sam’s flicking the light in the tiny closet, checking the mini-fridge, casing the bathroom. “Huh,” he says, for no reason Dean can tell. Drops his bag on the luggage rack and shrugs out of his jacket. Absently pops his neck. Says, then, “I could eat, you want—I don’t know, delivery something,” like he didn’t almost check out on Dean, like he didn’t disappear in the middle of the night like every one of Dean’s worst nightmares, like in the middle of driving about ninety through too-crowded city streets Dean didn’t get a call on his cell from an unknown number and about have a heart attack when the woman on the other end said Mr. Smith, you’re listed as the emergency contact for Mr. Sam Smith. I’m afraid—  Like the world didn’t just crackle out to static right then.
He’s standing there, though. On two legs and with his back up. Going for the yellow pages under the room phone, flipping to the back. “Number One China Palace,” he mutters, and glances across at Dean, and is alive. Alive and walking around and his brain where it’s meant to be. He frowns, the phonebook dangling against his thigh. “You okay?” he says, and Dean says, “Yeah,” and then he says, “God,” and then he sits down hard enough on the bed that he almost bounces, and he plants his hands on his knees and has to breathe, in through his nose and out through his mouth. Acid roiling up his throat. He wants a drink so bad he could kill something.
“Dean?” Around the bed, crouching. Alive and compos mentis and hovering a hand over Dean’s leg, like he’s worried Dean’s hurt somewhere he can’t see. Except, no, that was Sam—that was Sam all this last goddamn year, or longer, all this time Sam’s head was crumbling or boarded up but still crumbling behind or trapped in hell with a shark-smiling sociopath wearing his face or even before, when he thought he had to die to prove something to the world, or when he had to rot himself to prove something to Dean, or when—Dean takes another deep breath and blows it out extra slow, his heart doing something weird in his chest, and Sam stops with the hover-hand crap and grabs his thigh, frowns up at him, says, “What—hey, hey.”
“I’m not having a panic attack,” Dean says.
“Looks like it,” Sam says, but sits back on one heel, and the death-grip on Dean’s thigh turns more into Sam just—keeping a hand on him. Heavily warm. “You good?”
Dean fishes in the inner pocket of his jacket and finds the flask, takes a pull. Sam’s eyes tighten but he doesn’t make a comment. The whiskey’s crap and it burns all the way down but he feels like he breathes better after. Sam watches his face, his hand sliding a little up the side of Dean’s leg. Like he hasn’t—god, since before Cas pulled that shit-ass trick with Sam’s wall. Dean wants to pull Sam up by the wrist and fall backwards on the bed and sleep for a goddamn year, Sam laying heavily over him like the worst sweaty-nasty suffocation torture Dean ever accused him of being, when they’d share beds sometimes, and Sam would roll his eyes and pull Dean in by the small of the back and Dean slept better than maybe he ever had. Why did they ever stop that. What would it take, to go back.
“And it’s really all just—gone,” Dean says, picking up the staggered confused stupid back-and-forth they’d had back in that awful hospital room, while Cas moaned shaking on the bed and Meg held him grimly down. “Just like that.”
Sam’s cheek sucks in on one side. “Not just like…” he starts, and then looks at Dean’s face, and his chin drops. “But—yeah. I’m okay. Not even that tired, for some reason. It’s just you and me in here, I swear.”
It always was but the way Sam says it makes Dean’s shoulders ripple, like someone’s standing directly behind him, watching. He shudders totally without meaning to and Sam’s head picks up and he shifts forward, kneeling, his hands going to Dean’s knees, gripping firm. “Don’t get hit by a car again,” Dean says, and Sam huffs and says, “I’ll do my best,” and Dean reaches forward and grips Sam’s shirt and feels Sam’s skin warm under it and says, “I mean it,” and Sam looks him in the eyes and doesn’t say that Dean’s being a dumbass and doesn’t even seem like he’s thinking it, really, and he says, “Yeah, Dean,” and, “Okay?” and Dean doesn’t know the answer to that. It has to be yes because Sam’s alive and here and that makes it a ranked good day, by Dean’s usual metric, but the time when he wasn’t isn’t far enough in the rearview for Dean’s taste. That white hospital room and the white bed and Sam sitting there like he didn’t care so much about the difference between alive and not. When the difference there, for Sam, was the only thing in Dean’s life that had ever mattered. When it was pretty much the only thing he was hanging his hat on, these days, and if it came to it, if any time between now and the shitty future Dean could see, the answer flipped from one to the other, Dean didn’t know if he’d be able to make it in the world that was left, after. He just didn’t see how that could be so.
Sam watches him, quietly. Tightens his grip on Dean’s legs and then stands up. “I’m ordering Chinese,” he says, steady. “Gonna take a shower. Find something to watch, huh?”
Dean blinks, wipes his hand over his face. “Yeah,” he says.
“We should’ve gotten a king bed,” Sam says. He half-smiles, when Dean looks up at him. “So you won’t bitch about kicking.”
“Wouldn’t have to if you weren’t Chuck Norrising in your sleep,” Dean says, and Sam really smiles, then. Goes for the phonebook, and the Chinese. Ordering extra broccoli, the bitch. Dean grips the edge of the mattress, and manages to stand up after all, to deal with his bag, to find the remote. Sun coming in through the gaps in the curtains. Sam, smiling at something Dean can’t hear. The rearview feeling, for a minute, a little less crowded.

Okay, hoping this is allowed. In regards to Below the Ice, how do you think some of the other Sans' would react to Reader in the same situation? Say Red, Blue, Axe, or Dior? You don't have to answer for all of these if you don't feel like it!
Of course this is allowed! Such a good idea. Hopefully I read this right lol
Red:
Reds more aggressive than Sans. He's not an Orca Siren but a Bull shark Siren. Not exactly known for being cold and calculating. There's definitely more murder attempts, Red is also far more successful at killing off Readers co-workers. This is probably set off the coast of coast of mexico, lots of bull sharks and bull shark sirens congregate there.
He's also more openly flirty though, he's more aware of his feelings to reader than Sans is and he's not shy about checking you out ;)))
Initially, he thinks your just like the other scientists. Dumb, easily manipulatable and an easy meal. You quickly prove him wrong when you successfully manage to trap him under some falling rocks.
Boy does Red love a strong and smart partner. Something about being capable enough to take down an apex predator like him just does it for him.
The two of you get closer once he's under captivity, which is in this au, not for evil science purposes but more so for everyone's (including reds, safety). Once you're on more equal power dynamics you find him to be quite funny and charming when he needs to be.
He's pretty touchy as well, not to the point of it being uncomfortable. He just likes play fighting with you, or just holding onto you.
Blue:
He's a Dolphin Siren! you initially meet him when your scuba diving taking coral samples. He's friendly and inquisitive and all too helpful. Your other colleagues are jealous he approached you this time. Similar to Red, this doesn't take place in the arctic but instead somewhere off the coast of Australia, maybe the Great Barrier Reef.
Yeah, he's definitely known around the area for how kind he is. Tons of youtube videos have gone viral featuring him helping fishermen, scuba divers and even lost swimmers.
ngl, this is probably the best start to your relationship compared to any of the other boys
He often swims circles around you, trying to draw you from your work to play with him, solve puzzles and even tries to get you to meet his brother. Sometimes you relent, sometimes you don't, though you do build a strong friendship.
You fall first but he falls harder.
It just hits him one day. You and him are out swimming, you collecting important marine data and him following you around with a strange stirring in his soul that he can't quite place.
When he sees you helping a small fish out of a plastic bottle. That's when it hits him. He loves you. You're perfect
Axe:
hhrrrrrrgggg pretty human,,,,,,
eyes wide, jaw dropped, STARING,,,,
you first meet when you're out late night fishing. You had been warned of a Giant Pacific Octopus Siren that had recently started inhabiting the area but what did they know??? Certainly not more than you! You'd been fishing round these parts since you were a baby!
"....HOLY SHIT!" is what you screech out, dropping your fishing rod when you see Axe's bright red eye-light looking up from the murky deep.
Yeah you turn right back around and don't come back. Much to Axe's disappointment. Luckily for him, and unluckily for you, he has very long, very powerful tentacles that he uses to pull you into the water with him.
He doesn't drag you under of course, he's smart enough to figure out that you really don't like that.
He's already designated you his mate. Sorry, pal, you're just going to have to make do with the giant octopus Siren cuddling up to you now.
He does let you go eventually, though you do have to repeatedly promise him that you'll come back.
And you do, afraid that he'll come chase you down. Eventually it does come to be a mutually loving relationship, it just takes a little time.
Dior (lusttale Sans):
This time you're the one approaching him. You're a famous wildlife photographer and you have been craving that perfect, career making picture; and you know who you have to photograph.
Dior, a famous lionfish Siren, known for his striking beauty and his charming friendliness to everyone. He proves to be rather elusive. Hard to find, rarely ever in one spot as he's surrounded by many Siren admirers. But you're determined!
finally, after days of bashing up against sharp corals in your search, you find him! Dozing off on a large rock formation. You're steadying yourself for the perfect picture when you notice a much larger Siren sneaking up on Dior, teeth bared and claws sharpened.
"Look out!" You say, or at least try to say through all the bubbles. Dior does manage to wake up though, and quickly pokes the attacker with one of his many poisonous spines.
He thanks you, deciding to pose for you in thanks for you saving him.
When you leave, he assumes you'll never come back. He's too used to people leaving once they've gotten what they want out of him.
He's pleasantly surprised when you come back, without the camera, just wanting to know more about the beautiful but distant Siren.
He doesn't mean to fall as fast and as hard as he does, but being around someone so genuine is such a nice shock to his system he just can't help but fall for your smile.

Care to share some facts about the ROs?
Daeron:
Has an aviary filled with song birds from various parts of Arlatha— one of his favorite ways to pass the time is walking through it, simply listening to the beautiful melodies of the world.
Is quite adept at archery, along with his swordsmanship, but he tends to stay away from it; the act bringing up too many memories that he’d rather keep buried. It makes his life easier and the weight on his shoulders that much easier to bear.
His mother is still very much alive but his father has been dead for around three centuries at this point— barely a blip to an elf, meaning his mother can still be seen garbed in black.
His crown is crafted from the metal of his late father’s sword — something that had been requested of him.
Typically keeps to himself, but you’ll see him be surrounded by a varying about of courtesans/diplomats during the day— his carefully constructed mask hiding how much he wished to be anywhere else.
Larak:
Has a war horse that he’s had with him ever since he earned his sword— a carnivorous beast known as Akasha.
Despite what his appearance may showcase, Larak has a deep love for rabbits/bunnies and small insects like butterflies. He finds them to have a true warriors spirit; to be able to survive in a world like this one.
He has tattoos along both of his arms— the one on his right being his coming of age tattoo that’s made around the injury he acquired while on the hunt. The one on his left is one made for the people he’s lost.
Typically carries a great sword or a battle axe— preferring two-handed weaponry as it’s the easiest for him to wield.
Enjoys warm weather— as it reminds him of his home back in the Infernal Plains.
Calypso:
When she’s out of her human form— Calypso grows razor sharp teeth, claws, and fins appear on her forearm (along with gills on her neck). All of the hallmarks of a poignant underwater predator.
Can stomach surface food but prefers fish, crustacean, kelp, and sea birds over anything else— sirens being mainly carnivorous (although they do eat plants at times). She does enjoy chocolate though.
Even when she’s in her human form she can breathe underwater; a fact that she uses to go on hunts for longer periods of time. Her enhanced eyesight underwater helping that a great deal too.
You’ll sometimes find flecks of old scale left behind— as they, like all skin, replace itself whenever they die. Calypso typically tries to keep them moisturized as much as possible in order to abate any of the itchiness it can cause.
Is deathly afraid of horses. She doesn’t like them, but she finds sharks and krakens absolutely adorable. The big puppies of the sea.
Shanaera:
Has trained in a variety of different fields to better ensure the safety of Vela’thian and her king— she takes her job seriously, it’s one of the things that brings her the greatest joy in life.
Has three birds of prey that typically hang around her— barring the various other birds she uses for her spies messages— due to them bonding with her: a raven, an owl, and an eagle (respectively).
Speaks a variety of languages, and their varying dialects, due to the nature of her work and needing to understand any and all messages that come through.
Does the more unsavory work for Vela’thian that Daeron wishes didn’t have to occur, but would be foolish to believe that it’s not a necessity.
Has a deep love for reading— you’d be able to find her spending time with the library (if she’s not in her tower) next to a crackling hearth.
Fáelán:
Cares for you a great deal. They don’t have a family to speak of, which means that you’ve sort of become their family. They’d do anything for you.
Due to their heritage, extreme levels of cold/ice don’t truly bother them but extreme heat can be a bit of an issue for them. It’s not something that they truly like, but they’d be able to persevere.
Proudly announced that they were going to be your Knight, your loyal guard, the third day after you met them, and they’ve been training for it ever since.
Typically doesn’t eat meat that often— barring venison. As it rarely ever sits well within their stomach.
Would go the ends of the world if you asked them to.
Valerian:
Their draconic form is bigger than what’s typical for a draconian. Something that made them be deemed as the brightest among their siblings… Until, of course, certain events happened that ruined it.
A bit of a sadist, not gonna lie… Not in a physical abuse kind of way… More in a, I’m going to bite you and potentially draw blood sort of way during sex.
Has a presence that can command a room, a voice that never has to be raised to be heard, which has been very useful to them for a long time. It’s something that’s garnered attention from a large amount of people. You’re the first person that’s ever truly caught their attention though. Whether that’s a bad or good thing? Only time will tell.
Has three little dragons that stay perched on their shoulder, or somewhere nearby, that they absolutely adore. Would kill anyone that tried to hurt their babies.
Is immune to fire completely due to their heritage… Though they don’t typically enjoy warmer weather. As it reminds them too much of a home they’ll probably never be allowed to go back to.

Fiction does affect reality, it's scary to see so many people deluded into thinking it doesn't. Minstrel shows full of exaggerated stereotypes are a great example, the phobia of sharks after Jaws, y2k scares, thousands of people assuming furries are a kink because of a CSI episode, the list goes on. Wild that incest and abuse is played off as, best case nothing worst case romanticized these days.
Fiction absolutely can effect reality but it certainly depends on the audience, context and way it is handled.
Minstrel shows were specifically made to make fun of and mock black people, this is is essentially under the category of propaganda. Stereotypes are created and excentuated with the explicit goal of turning the public eye against certain groups. That is definitely a form of fiction designed to effect reality.
The phobia of sharks and shark killing example is mostly a myth, of course it did have a small scale effect but not to the level people often say. For one, it only really effected areas across America. Most shark killings are actually for shark fins or caused by fishing. I'm afraid I don't know the statistics of shark phobias.
I'm no expert of the Y2K scares but as far as I'm aware that was a matter of misinformation and mass panic rather than fiction.
Again we are talking of stereotypes when it comes to furries. I would never for a moment doubt the effect stereotypes have on people's mindsets. CSI has multiple cases of giving small groups a bad name. This happens mostly with minorities or lesser known groups that didn't get large amounts of attention in the public eye until this moment. It is often due to this information being stated as fact and piles of media jumping on this. I remember a furry was also on my strange addiction or a show like that where the directors actively pushed to try and make this poor person's hobby look bad and weird to the public.
Most classic TV shows, fandom content, games and Fanfiction is quite clearly known for not being factual or a basis for real life. Incest, abuse and pedophilia are well known and frowned upon topics. They're crimes, they're morally wrong. There is no unknown here, people reading about this in fiction are not only just hearing about these topics. An author does not have to say these things are bad and immoral directly for people to understand that.
The only content that should be spoon feeding you morals is children's shows, fan spaces are greatly not for children and most fan content is well labelled on its content and warning.
Very few people are going to read a story about incest and suddenly decide that maybe it's not so bad.
When it comes down to it the separation between reality and fiction it mostly depends on each media and each person. It's not a black and white situation
Sorry I am bad at wording things but essentially yes fiction can effect reality but this is not a constant. Every situation is unique.

bird half of remy's siren form!!
heres a summary of splish splash au:
lots of ideas jointly created with @honey-minded-hivemind
splish splash au
Remy is a siren: this means he can transition between being half bird and half human to being half fish and half human. His colors would be loosely based on those of a cardinal both for his feathers and his scales.
Sirens can sing to lure in prey of all sorts but powers can be overcome by strong will of beeswax in the ears. They don't tend to live together only gathering in larger groups for migration and those times are like huge parties where everyone checks on each other. Since they tend to be at the top of the water to go in and out of forms, they follow the warmer weather and get super sleepy when hit with very cold weather.
This is Remys second year living and hunting alone. His brother Henri checks in on him a lot but does not live with him. Remy is really good at opening clams and chests and anything that is locked. He also can blow things up because I think him having his mutant powers is funny. He's also an empathy but doesn't
Right before migration time he gets into a scuffle with a selki who bites through his tail fin. It'll heal but it makes it too hard to travel south for the winter. So he ends up staying in a rock crevice and doing his best.
Creed is a deep water mer and as the season shifts to colder he expands his hunter grounds to shallower water
Deepwater mers tend to live in packs with families sleeping in piles. Creed doesn't have a pack/pod, especially after a blow-up fight with Logan 20 years ago. He still will occasionally fight with his brother (another deep sea mer)
Creed goes for a hunt and finds a tiny pup(Remy) trying to hunt. The pup fights him and actually manages a few really good hits!! Creed is in love and when he pins the pup he decides this is now his child, and he will be caring for it thanks.
Remy is sleepy tired and hungry and doesn't expect to wake up again after getting knocked out by Creed's fight which had turned into a playfight for Creed. He is shocked when Creed brings him fish and shark meat and he is hesitant to eat it. Creed forces him to eat the first few times and nips at his tail when he tries to leave. Remy soon attaches his empathy to him and they have a sort of link that lets them feel each other's emotions. Remy doesnt realize it and thinks hes just getting better at reading creed.
Remy has something like that with Henri but with thousands of miles between them it's very very faint and neither really notice it, thinking the emotions are their own.
Creed teaches Remy how to hunt and doesnt realize that remy is a siren and thus more naturally a loaner. Creed doesnt even know remy can fly. Remy doesnt really go to the surface to do so till later (maybe)
Durning this time Henri realizes that his baby brother did not migrate and goes on a one man odyssey to get back to the now freezing cold waters to track down his brother. There is monsters, humans, and trials and tribulations.,
He arrives and creed adopts him to for the lols.
Then remy goes out to find a patch of sunlight to sleep in and a sudden visicious storm scoops up his silly butt Aaannndd he is dropped in logans territory. Remy is sleepy and afraid. Logan takes him in and drops him in the pile of pups he had taken in.
This will lead to a massive fight with creed logan and henri.
Also addition:
Eventually creed and logan join podsish with their mishmash of mer/siren/selkie and other species. They get a small island that is hard to sail too with a lovely cove and a cave system that stretches beneath the island.
Charles and mangus are harpies and mistake remy’s bird form for a harpy that is just a weird species that they had not met before. Charles has a base of robin colors and mangus is some sort of falcon base
Life is interesting.

Background :
Rubi grew up in a small town with his family being reputable fortune tellers. His parents were endearing but his mother would be overprotective of him due to his naivety. Rubi would soon come to adopt their teachings, interested more in fate than the knowledge they could ever give. He had a problem with verbal communication, unsure of how to approach a conversation or begin one, so he was always left out in group activities and clubs but he found a better interest to turn his eyes towards.
He would always visit an old shipwreck a bit further from his town, surprised to see the wonderful relics and treasures that were buried deep under the floorboards and seaweed. Soon this would become a habit of his to constantly visit his treasure trove, ignoring any sort of danger whatsoever. He found a crystal orb that he would call a bubble instead. Using it as a tool for his growing fortune telling skills. What reflected in the orb was his dream, his future, to visit somewhere that isn’t the coral sea, seeing Night Raven College in the reflections. A big smile erupted on his face, hoping those dreams of his come true. He brings the bubble home intending to keep it and bring it along for his future journey.
Not long after he was hunted down by a shark that was lurking around the area, his tail fin was damaged in the process of swimming away from it but luckily nothing else was injured. Yet, his parents were distraught, afraid to lose their only child to predators that would hunt them down. Rubi tried to protest, wanting to see more than what he’s been living, but his mother wouldn’t allow it. Rubi wasn’t allowed to leave the town for a few years until he was accepted into NRC which his parents reluctantly let him go and wished him the best in his new journey.
Trivia :
• The name ‘Rubinus’ is latin for the word ‘ruby’ a bright red gemstone while hawthorn refers to the hawthorn fruit
• Rubi is based off a Ryukin goldfish
• He has a singular mole on his neck and two notable moles on his back
• Despite his human height, he considers himself to be shorter in his merform compared to other merfolk due to his family’s genetics of having a short stubby tail
• He had a damaged tail fin from getting an encounter with a shark when he was younger

• Has a hobby of making ribbons and bows from his father and wears as much as he can on land

– We Are! by One Piece
xXxXxXx
Sonic was standing at the railing of the Ocean Tornado, looking over at the horizon, enjoying the warmth of the rising sun, listening to the rush of the waves and sensing the scent of saltwater. It was a feeling unlike any other, the kind of freedom where you were able to go wherever you wanted and do whatever you wanted – he was on another adventure and he felt right at home.
He glanced behind him, taking note of his friends and the ship's crew walking around, doing tasks, talking or just enjoying the ride. Even if they were here to help Blaze and Sana fight against pirates, that didn't mean that they couldn't take the time to relax a little and enjoy the tour between the many islands that were part of the Surya Empire. From what he had been told by Lucas, this was the reason why it was considered an empire, being the largest archipelagic country in the world. Many of these islands were small and uninhabited, but a good portion of them were inhabited by people whose family lines would go back many generations, some even claiming to have lived there for hundreds of years and never leaving, being content with their lives and living off the sea and whatever the island provided for them. Sonic imagined that these people probably had many stories to tell and while they weren't planning on visiting any of the islands, he was curious about what this kind of life was like. He then turned back to the horizon, taking note of several fishing boats in the distance, but the moment of peace didn't last too long.
''I have to commend you for your bravery,'' Knuckles said, him and Tails walking over to Sonic. ''We are currently nowhere near any land and you haven't shown any sign of panic.''
''Heh, I told you already, I'm not afraid of water,'' Sonic said. Knuckles nodded, arms folded across his chest.
''Well, I'm proud of you, Hedgehog. After all, the depths of the ocean are quite mysterious. Not only don't we know what lurks there, but for people like you, even thinking about entering the water must be an uncomfortable experience. Just imagine what would happen if you fell into it. First, you'd be splashing in the water, desperate to hold onto something and keep your head above the waves that are constantly crashing down on you, but since you don't know how to swim, you would sink like a rock, trashing around in dismay as you slowly realize what is happening. You'd try to keep your mouth closed, but soon, your lungs would start burning, begging for air. The moment you force yourself to inhale, your lungs will get filled with water and you'd find yourself drowning, helpless and unable to escape…'' Knuckles talked, completely oblivious to the alarmed look that slowly creeped up on Sonic's expression as he listened to the very detailed description. ''…and that's only if you don't get torn apart by a shark, your blood dying the waters red.'' Knuckles then grinned, placing a hand on Sonic's shoulder. ''Of course, that's something that won't intimidate you at all.''
''Uh, y-yeah…'' Sonic replied, trying not to show just how anxious he felt. He then turned on his heel and quickly stepped away from the railing, muttering under his breath, ''I need to figure out where they keep the life vests...''
Knuckles was confused when he saw Sonic suddenly walking away, glancing at Tails with a raised eyebrow. ''Did I say something wrong?''
Tails gave the clueless echidna a deadpan look. ''I think you shouldn't have gone into a detailed description of how drowning works.''
''Oh…''
Meanwhile, Blaze was on the other side of the ship, staring at the water and feeling a pit in her stomach. She knew that this was just another investigation and that she had her friends for support, but she still felt that she should've done this on her own. She was always very independent, and while she had support from Sana and Marine, she felt that it was her sole duty to protect the Surya Empire from pirates. This was her responsibility, and not the responsibility of others.
''Hey, you okay Blaze?''
Blaze looked up when she heard Silver's voice, who came to check on her. She lowered her head and stared at the water.
''I am… I guess,'' Blaze muttered.
''You look like you have a lot on your mind,'' Silver said, with Blaze looking up at him. ''Do you want to talk?''
Blaze was silent for a moment, then looked up at Silver. ''I was thinking about whether all of this was a good idea. Please, don't take this the wrong way, but protecting the Surya Empire was always my duty, my burden. I had never expected that I would call someone for help and it makes me reconsider my decisions.''
''I see. You feel a little overwhelmed by all of this, right?'' Silver asked, a gentle smile on his lips. Blaze nodded. Silver then hummed in thought.
''I suppose that this is something we can relate to. You have an entire empire to protect, while I have to protect the future,'' Silver started, giving Blaze an encouraging smile. ''Something that I have learned while spending my time here is that this doesn't have to be a burden that I have to carry alone. I have Makoto and the others, and I can rely on everyone to lend me their strength to continue with my mission. Neither I nor you are alone in this. That's why we came here when you and Sana have called us, because there is no way we would leave you handle this all alone.''
''Thanks, Silver,'' Blaze replied, a bright smile spreading on her lips. ''It is rather comforting to hear that.''
''Heh, I'm glad…'' Silver smiled, rubbing the back of his head as he felt a little flustered.
xXx
Ferra, Orbot and Cubot tilted their heads as they heard footsteps from outside the room, with Dr. Eggman entering it first. Ferra turned to him, ''Where's Metal?''
''I am here.''
Ferra's eyes widened in awe as Neo Metal Sonic walked into the room, now capable of proper speech. She quickly approached him, checking on him. ''How are you doing?''
''I'm fine. More than fine. I actually feel quite powerful,'' Neo Metal Sonic responded, flexing his sharp claws, with Orbot and Cubot gazing at him.
''Oh, indeed, you look quite powerful,'' Orbot said.
''Maybe even more powerful than Sonic,'' Cubot added.
''You will become only more powerful by copying the data of those you fought against,'' Eggman said, drawing their attention. ''Besides that, you can also transform into those whose data you have scanned. In other words, your new powers are perfect for infiltration.''
''Considering how Team Neos has no idea that Metal Sonic has now been upgraded to Neo Metal Sonic, would it be possible for Neo to go back to his base form to keep this a secret?'' Ferra suddenly asked, her gaze shifting from Eggman to Neo Metal Sonic. ''I don't think we should reveal this too soon.''
''I suppose I could revert back to my base form,'' Neo Metal Sonic said, but Eggman stopped him.
''You should try first to shapeshift into an organic form to see if your ability works properly,'' he pointed out, then grinned arrogantly. ''Of course, there is only one perfect candidate for you to take their form.''
''I agree,'' Ferra said, turning to Neo Metal Sonic. ''You should scan my bio-data and see whether it works.''
Neo Metal Sonic nodded, reaching out for her, only for both of them to be interrupted by an irked Eggman.
''I was talking about myself,'' he grumbled, with Ferra and Neo Metal Sonic giving him a confused look. Ferra rose an eyebrow.
''Wouldn't it make more sense Neo to scan my bio-data since I'm his partner?'' she asked. Eggman rolled his eyes, waving his hand in a dismissive manner.
''Do whatever you want,'' he said, clearly still a little sour about it. Ferra and Neo Metal Sonic exchanged glances, both feeling a little amused, with Ferra then reaching out for her partner and Neo Metal Sonic scanning her bio-data. He then looked at his clawed hand, flexing it as he processed the data. This was followed by him turning into a silver liquid substance, akin to liquid metal, and moments later he emerged in a new form, looking exactly like Ferra.
''Fascinating,'' Eggman muttered, quite proud of the result, but still keeping an impassive gaze. Ferra, on the other hand, was clearly amazed by Neo Metal Sonic's transformation.
''That's awesome!'' she said, staring at her perfect copy. She then smirked mischievously. ''Oh, we're so going to use this to mess with Team Neos. They have no idea what's coming to them.''
''I absolutely agree,'' Neo!Ferra said, shapeshifting into Metal Sonic. ''My loathsome copy will learn to fear me!''
''He might get confused if he hears you talk when you look like this,'' Orbot pointed out, with Metal Sonic turning towards him and Cubot.
''Couldn't he just tell them he got a voice box?'' Cubot asked, scratching his head.
''That would actually be a good cover story,'' Orbot agreed.
''I suppose that would make sense. But, you can always just keep silent until we get to the big reveal,'' Ferra said, turning to Metal Sonic, who nodded.
''I suppose I would have to copy the bio-data of all of Team Neos,'' Metal Sonic said. ''If not all of them, then at least absorb the data of Sonic, Shadow and Silver, since these three are the most powerful among them.''
''That would result in your attaining your Metal Overlord form, right?'' Ferra asked.
''I suggest you two to wait with the Metal Overlord until you can get more used to this form,'' Eggman told them. Ferra and Metal Sonic nodded, agreeing with him. For now, they wanted to confront Sonic and Lucas, then they would see what would happen next.
xXx
Omega was patrolling through Eas, having been on the look-out for Eggman Empire activity ever since Touka and Shadow told him and Rouge that they would be leaving Neos City for a few days alongside the rest of Team Neos. While Rouge wished them a nice trip, but showed no sign of interest in going on any kind of patrol, Omega took it up on himself to protect Neos City from Dr. Eggman and his robots. He took pride in the trust Touka and Shadow showed in him, and he was more than happy to take down whoever Eggman sent next to terrorize the city. He had also taken note of the fact that he was the only surviving member of the E-100 Series, having to commend Gamma for his brave sacrifice during the battle against Chaos, his defiance against his creator fueling Omega's own desire to show the Doctor that he couldn't break him nor control him. He would make sure Gamma's sacrifice wasn't in vain.
It appeared that Omega would get that opportunity as he immediately detected the presence of another robot flying right over him and fired a warning shot. The robot in question, Metal Sonic, had managed to dodge the missile, turning his head towards the attacker. Omega had already aimed his cannon arms towards him.
''You may not be an Eggman creation, but you're still affiliated with Eggman. My systems conclude that you need to be destroyed!'' Omega said, but before he could engage in a battle with Metal Sonic, Ferra suddenly flew in front of him on her hoverboard.
''Hey, give it a rest! We're not here to fight you, we're searching for Lucas and Sonic,'' Ferra told him.
''They are not in Neos City,'' Omega told her. Both Ferra and Metal Sonic gave him a bewildered look.
''Then, where are they?'' Ferra asked.
''They have gone to the Surya Empire,'' Omega responded, observing both of their stunned reactions. ''That doesn't matter. I am a sufficient opponent.''
He fired at Metal Sonic, the bullets piercing the air as Metal Sonic encased himself inside the Black Shield to repel the attack. Ferra flew away, deciding to leave this fight to Metal Sonic and observe it from the sidelines. However, her expression showed that them fighting against Omega was a waste of time, something Metal Sonic took note of. He charged up, firing a blast at Omega, with the Team Dark member countering it, cancelling each other's attacks out in an explosion and causing a cloud of smoke to appear.
''You will- disappear?'' Omega looked around, scanning the immediate area, only to realize that Metal Sonic took the opportunity to get away. He did spot Ferra, who simply shrugged as she saw Omega's perplexed look.
''Unfortunately for you, we're only here to fight Sonic or other members of Team Neos; not you,'' Ferra told him, flying off on her hoverboard and shouting as she was already a good distance away, ''No offense, Omega!''
Omega lowered his arms, still stunned as he stared at where Ferra was just a moment ago. ''Does not compute.'' The bewilderment was then replaced with a strong sense of anger. ''How dare they not fight me?! This is insulting!''
Meanwhile, Ferra and Metal Sonic managed to get away, finding a safe spot they knew Omega wouldn't find them at. Ferra sighed, turning to Metal Sonic. ''Well, this puts a damper in our plans.''
''How could Sonic just up and leave Neos City?'' Metal Sonic suddenly said, clearly furious and clenching his clawed hand into a fist. ''I was looking forward to this confrontation, and now he's gone! We don't even know when he's going to return!''
''I suppose we should tell Dr. Eggman about this. He won't be happy with this news either,'' Ferra said. ''On the other hand, he could just take over Neos City…''
''No,'' Metal Sonic interrupted her, his voice sharp and stern. ''This is our mission, and I want to see Sonic squirming in pain as he lies at my feet. I want to see the fear in his eyes as he realizes that he has been outmatched. If I have to wait a little longer, that will be fine, but I'm not going to let anyone interfere with this, including the Doctor.''
''I see…'' Ferra muttered, smirking. ''Then, I won't stop you.''
xXx
''So far, nothing…'' Sana muttered, pulling up her AR Visor, which had a zoom-in function, acting like binoculars. ''We have the description of the ship, but it won't be easy to locate it.''
''You mean the one with the robot pirates?'' Lucas asked. Sana nodded. ''Did they include descriptions of the pirates?''
''The reports say that this specific ship had no humans or ARNavs on it, and the crew was made up of robots. The captain had a red coat with skull marks and his right-hand man was green with a shark-shaped head…'' Sana trailed off when Minami, who overheard the conversation, suddenly interrupted her.
''Did they also have two smaller robots?'' she asked.
''Yeah, they had,'' Sana replied, a bit startled. Lucas and Minami exchanged knowing glances.
''Have you ever played Sonic Rush or Sonic Rush Adventure?'' Lucas asked. Sana shook her head.
''No, why are you asking- Wait, do you want to say-?'' Sana was slowly putting the pieces together, but still had trouble seeing the picture.
''The captain of those robot pirates is Captain Whisker, accompanied by his right-hand man Johnny and the other crewmates, Mini & Mum. In the video game lore, they were searching for the Jeweled Scepter, which is how they got into conflict with Sonic and Blaze,'' Lucas explained.
''I see… But, neither Blaze nor I have ever heard of the Jeweled Scepter,'' Sana explained, taking note of the rest of Team Neos, Blaze and Marine listening in on their conversation.
''Sana is right. I don't know anything about the existence of the Jeweled Scepter,'' Blaze added.
''What about the Sol Emeralds?'' Minami suddenly asked.
''I'm afraid that I don't know anything about them either,'' Blaze replied.
''Okay, hold up a second,'' Lily said, drawing everyone's attention. ''If this is Captain Whisker's crew, why would they attack trade ships? That doesn't make sense.''
''Clearly, they just want to steal the goods and sell it on the black market,'' Marine said.
''Whatever their motivation is, they're pirates and they need to go down,'' Blaze said in a firm tone.
''I believe that what Lily meant to say is that there is one more player in this situation – Eggman Nega,'' Minami said.
''Wait, there is another Eggman?'' Touka asked, being just as confused as the ARNavs.
''Yeah… Wait, didn't you read the notes I have sent you?'' Minami asked. Touka gave her a sheepish look.
''I may have just skimmed those particular ones,'' she replied.
''Who is Eggman Nega?'' Sonic asked.
''All I can say is that it's complicated,'' Lucas replied. ''He's either Dr. Eggman's descendant or his counterpart from the Sol Dimension.''
There was a moment of silence.
''Yeah, I don't think I want to hear more about that,'' Amy said in a deadpan tone. ''We don't even know if he's part of this.''
''Right, let's just focus on what we know, which is that the robots we're dealing with are most likely Captain Whisker and his crew,'' Sana said, raising an eyebrow. ''This begs the question, who created them?''
''Maybe they weren't created by anyone,'' Warren said. ''It is possible this is a similar situation as the one with Metal Sonic.''
''You mean they're Irregulars?'' Tails said. ''That would make sense.''
Suddenly, they were hit with an explosion that caused the Ocean Tornado to rock violently on the waves, with one of the crewmates shouting, ''We're under attack!''
''How?!'' Marine sprinted towards the edge of their ship, only to get splashed when another cannon bomb exploded in the water. She was quickly joined by Blaze and Sana, shouting in frustration, ''We haven't should've been able to see them from miles away!''
''They just appeared out of nowhere,'' Blaze muttered, with Sana turning to the rest of the crew and Team Neos.
''Prepare for battle! These were just warning shots,'' Sana quickly ordered everyone.
''Princess, should we replace the flag?'' one of the crewmates, a koala ARNav asked Sana. The teenager looked up at the flag they had displayed, the one that signaled that they were a trade ship that carried food and other valuables to islands. Sana narrowed her eyes.
''No, we'll keep up the act as the bait. However, signal them to stop immediately with their actions and that we want to communicate,'' she told the crewmate, who just nodded and did as told.
''What's your plan?'' Blaze asked.
''I want to see whether we can lure them closer. They'll probably think that we want to parlay,'' Sana turned to Team Neos. ''Don't show yourself yet, but be ready for an attack. Blaze and I will try to see what we can do here to minimize the damage.''
''Aye, aye!'' Sonic saluted, with him and the rest of Team Neos quickly getting out of sight. Sana turned to Marine, who took the helm and started steering the ship so the side would be facing the oncoming pirate ship.
Sana and Blaze took another look at the pirate ship, taking note of the flags. One of them as a typical Jolly Roger, black with a skull that had a bushy mustache on it, while the other one signaled that they also wanted to communicate. Sana breathed a sigh of relief, despite the tense situation. She and Blaze knew that, even if the pirates wanted to communicate, they were still in a dangerous situation. One of the crewmates quickly brought her a microphone that was connected to the megaphone on the Ocean Tornado.
''This is the Ocean Tornado! Who are you and what do you want from us?'' Sana asked, her and Blaze waiting with bated breath for a response.
''It is I, the Dread Pirate Whisker! If ye haven't noticed yet, we're pirates, so there's only one thing we're 'ere for – to pillage yer ship!'' Captain Whisker responded through his own megaphone. He was a robot that had an oval body. In the head, he wore a red hat with golden hemline and the symbol of a white skull with a white mustache. Only in the left eye, he has a sky blue iris, while the other does not. His torso and arms were covered by something like a red with golden hemline, four white buttons and skull-shaped cuffs. He also wore a brown baldric and belt with a gold buckle and tip. Sana's grip on the microphone tightened, her and Blaze's eyes narrowing. ''I have no time to chew the fat, so surrender now, lest you fancy windin' up in Davy Jones' Locker!''
''We refuse!'' Sana responded in a firm tone. ''Instead, you should be the one surrendering!''
''D'arr har har! You be just a trade ship…'' Captain Whisker trailed off when he saw the crew removing the trade ship flag and instead rising the flag of the imperial family. ''Wh-Wha-?''
''Captain Whisker, this is the Imperial Princess Sana Jai speaking, along with the Blazing Guardian of the Surya Empire, Blaze the Cat. You are under arrest for piracy!'' Sana spoke again, her tone threatening. ''Surrender this instant!''
Back on the pirate ship, Captain Whisker turned to his crew, completely bewildered. ''Which one of ye bilge-sucking carousers had the idiotic idea of attackin' an imperial ship carrying the blasted Blazing Guardian?!''
''Wasn't that your idea, Captain?'' Mini asked.
''Besides, didn't they use a trade ship flag?'' Mum added. The two were nearly identical in appearance, both of them appearing as small ovoid robots. However, one of them was blue with a single horn on his head, while the other was green with two horns on his head.
''Blimey, those scurvy dogs played a trick on us!'' Captain Whisker said, only to fall silent for a moment. ''But, there have been tales of the Blazing Guardian and the… the… uh…'' He scratched his head, unable to remember what those tales were about. He then grabbed his cutlass, holding it up. ''Never mind, we will feed the crew of the Ocean Tornado to the fish!''
Back on the Ocean Tornado, Sana put on her AR Visor, observing the situation on the pirate ship. She frowned. ''I see more Irregulars on the ship and they don't appear to be robots.''
''I guess Captain Whisker decided to add more members to his crew,'' Blaze said.
''They're manning the cannons!'' Sana shouted in alarm, turning to the crew and Team Neos. ''Prepare to defend the ship!''
''Fire!'' Captain Whisker shouted, with his crew firing several cannonballs at the Ocean Tornado. One landed in the water, while the other flew over the ship, but the third one flew straight towards the middle of the deck. However, before it could blow a hole in it, Amy emerged with her Piko Piko Hammer and hit the cannonball right back at the sender. It exploded nearby the pirate ship, leaving the crew stunned, especially the captain. ''Shiver me timbers, what is happenin'?!''
''Looks like the princess and the Blazing Guardian got reinforcements,'' Johnny said, pointing at the Ocean Tornado. He was a green robot resembling a mix of a shark and torpedo, with the pirate emblem of their crew placed on his chest.
''Mum, give me the spyglass!'' Captain Whisker ordered, with the robot handing it over and the captain looking through the telescope and frowning. ''Aye, it seems that there are some landblubbers on their ship. It doesn't matter, we'll sink them all! Savvy?''
''Loud and clear, Captain!'' Johnny said, leaping off the ship and flying towards the Ocean Tornado.
Meanwhile, the pirate ship kept firing at the imperial ship, only for the cannonballs to be stopped in the air by cyan energy, that being the work of Silver, with Blaze firing fireballs to make them explode harmlessly. Shadow joined them, firing a Chaos Spear at one of the cannonballs, while Amy, with Tails' help, flew up to hit another back into the water. The unfortunate truth of the matter was that the only ones who had abilities that could fight against the pirates at this range were Blaze, Silver and Shadow, but the rest of the group wasn't standing by idly and instead followed Sana's commands to prepare the Ocean Tornado's cannons and return the fire, while Marine was at the helm, trying to maneuver the Ocean Tornado to safety.
''Hold on!'' Marine shouted, steering the ship to starboard and nearly avoiding another cannonball. Just then, Johnny suddenly emerged from the side at high speeds, dodging a Chaos Spear and knocking Shadow off the ship, before turning around and getting kicked in the chest by Sonic.
''Ugh, so fast…''
While Johnny was recovering from the sudden attack, Touka quickly ran over to the railing in panic. ''Shadow!'' To her relief, she found the dark hedgehog floating above the waves, his air shoes keeping him afloat. ''Are you okay?''
''I'll be fine once I turn that robot into scrap metal,'' Shadow growled, using his air shoes to fly up back on the deck and seeing Sonic facing Johnny.
''Heh, seems like you have never met The Fastest Thing Alive,'' Sonic said, dodging Johnny's punch easily.
''You may be fast, but you're not as fast as me! I am the sultan of speed! The unparalleled and unequaled Johnny! No one can keep up with me! No one!'' Johnny tried to land a hit on Sonic, his punches a blur. Too focused on Sonic, he didn't even notice Knuckles leaping from behind and landing a solid punch in the back of his head, followed by another kick from a furious Shadow.
Suddenly, the ship turned, as Marine realized they were getting rather close to the pirate ship, which stopped firing at them and instead launched the ropes and nets, with the Irregulars that Captain Whisker added to his crew invading it.
''Chaos Surge!''
Lucas and Sonic were the first to use Chaos Surge, followed by the rest of Team Neos, including Sana and Blaze, and then the fight began. The pirates were stunned when not only the ARNavs started to battle, but their human partners as well. Chaos ensued, with Team Neos pushing the pirates back, with Sana's hand covered in flames as she rushed towards the ropes and burned them, cutting the only connection between the ships, her eyes, just like Blaze's, glowing in a royal purple and her being covered in a royal purple crackling aura. She looked over at the other ship, noting how Captain Whisker, Mini and Mum didn't join the battle, and after glancing at Blaze, both used their fire to propel themselves and board the pirate ship.
''Makoto, let's help them!'' Silver shouted, with Makoto nodding in response and both using the psychokinesis to also board the pirate ship.
Meanwhile, Johnny realized that his own speed was absolutely nothing in comparison to a Chaos Surge-boosted Sonic, while Shadow and Knuckles went to help the rest of the crew. Realizing that this was a losing battle, Johnny suddenly flew up, out of Sonic's range and looked back at the pirate ship, where Captain Whisker, Mini and Mum were facing Blaze, Sana, Silver and Makoto. Despite being attacked by both fire and psychokinesis, Captain Whisker had quite impressive durability, swinging his cutlass through the flames and firing his own torrent of flames from his mouth at them. Makoto quickly rose a barrier out of the psychokinesis, shielding his friends.
''Heh, ye certainly are a match for his ol' seadog!'' Captain Whisker said, swinging his cutlass and Blaze dodging the attack. She countered by shaping the flames into a sword of her own that heated the cutlass to dangerous levels, the Chaos Surge boost aiding her in that. Captain Whisker was forced to step back, taking note of Johnny who returned back to help him and fighting against Silver, while Sana and Makoto chased after Mini and Mum. ''But, ye don't know about me secret weapon!''
''What?'' Blaze's eyes widened as she saw Captain Whisker taking out a device, pressing a button on it and throwing it into the water. ''What have you done?''
''A bucko of mine told me to use it if I ever came across ye, lassie,'' Captain Whisker responded, only to pause for a moment. ''Now, if I only remembered what it does…''
Back on the Ocean Tornado, Marine managed to steer the imperial ship away from the pirate ship, turning her head in worry as she tried to keep an eye on Blaze, Sana, Silver and Makoto. However, to her shock, the ship was completely gone.
''They're gone!'' Marine turned to Team Neos, who had managed to subdue the pirates and defeat them. ''The ship, Blaze, Sana… They're all gone!''
''What?!'' Lucas, who was helping the crew tie up the pirates turned his head up, and to his shock, and the shock of everyone else, realized that Marine as speaking the truth.
Blaze, Sana, Silver, Makoto, Captain Whisker and his crew were all gone, as if swallowed by the ocean itself.

Random quotes that have been said in my Ocs lore just for funsies! This is the fill-in for random facts for tonight since I can’t think of any right now (the quotes are color-coded depending on what timeline they came from- blue is Crown, red is Connors, and purple is Crest)
“Whoever brought you into this world, I would like to humbly apologize to them for whatever I’ve done to deserve being in your presence.” - Commodore Kai
“Are you okay??? Like, genuinely, are you okay? How hard did you hit your head when you and Morden crashed onto that island?” - Iris
“How is it that you’ve murdered several people with little to no mercy or thought about it, yet you’re afraid of a small little fish?” - Neviro
“You are… interesting, to say the least. Surely you don’t do this all the time? …Please tell me he isn’t always like this.” - King Calvus IV, before dying
“If you were a bird, you’d be a magpie. I think that idea speaks for itself.” - Morden
“Perhaps the idea of living longer than a fish would make you panic. …Now that I think about it, I don’t believe it’s an idea anymore.” - Enizor
“The type of food you eat is concerning. Please take better care of yourself, and actually eat more than just some raw shark.” - Warren
“If I could, I would question everything about you. But I won’t. Because I can’t. I’m pretty sure you just came out the womb being this feral, and I’m not willing to look any further.” - Edward Kenton
“The fact you are still alive is a miracle. However, the idea you have more than one braincell in your head is even more of a miracle than the previous statement.” - Lord Elius, also before dying

Fic Prompts: Meddling Mar Monday
(From a bit later in the story)
The waters surrounding the coastal desert were cool and green, and so undisturbed within the cove that beyond the breakers everything took on a breathtaking clarity. Colorful fish darted back and forth after food, while poisonous eels floated serenely in place beneath the dock, enjoying the shade. Deeper down, the light that filtered through the waves colored the world a watery blue, disguising brighter colors.
Jak kicked his feet and spiraled down to the edge of a slightly sickly coral reef. It seemed to span the entire mouth of the cove, turning it into more of a lagoon. Just beyond, the depth dropped sharply. Jak stared down into an abrupt expanse of dark water and couldn't shake the feeling that something was staring back. He would have expected that to frighten him, or at least unsettle him. But somehow, Jak wasn't afraid. He swam backwards a foot or so, and eagerly scanned the depths for a glimpse of larger animals. He knew he'd seen something from Damas’s tower. Was it watching him now? Was it bigger than even the various species of Lurker Sharks?
Jak had glimpsed the Colossal Shark Brutter kept at the fish cannery once. He'd been overwhelmed by the sheer size of the fish. The idea that creatures so powerful and vast still swam in their waters in spite of everything was really sort of humbling. Brutter kept it in captivity simply because he could think of no way to safely release it without mass casualties. Jak wasn't even sure how he'd caught the thing in the first place.
An orange jellyfish drifted along behind Jak, and its tentacles briefly grazed his shoulder. A jolt of pain, not unlike electricity, shot down his arm. Annoyed, Jak shook the limb out, sending the oblivious jelly tumbling away. Well, they couldn't all be harmless, he supposed. Shrugging off the pain as he always did, Jak made a leisurely climb to the surface to suck in another lungful of air, then dove below again to immerse himself in the jewel colored world beneath the water. A glint of metal caught his eye, yards away, and he grinned. There we go.
When he was a kid in Sandover, there were always orbs washing up on the shore from sunken Precursor cities and research stations. Surely, the Wastelanders couldn't have found all of them.
While nowhere near the tens of orbs he and Daxter used to scoop out of the shallows, the orb Jak found encrusted with barnacles was worth perhaps thrice as much as it had been when he was Mar’s age. Satisfaction filled his chest as he examined the sand-scoured weight. This would at least give them a start on buying enough food and water to last the week. Jak carefully slid the orb into the pouch he'd made out of his scarf, taking care not to damage the two small conch shells and three cone shells he'd already picked up. An orb wouldn't do him much good if it smashed his rent payment, now would it.
Though he was reluctant to leave the lagoon, Jak knew his supply of air was finite. In his dark form, he could've stayed under for far longer. But he was not ready to let these people know about that part of his life. Even if the ocean did seem like a safe place to release dark eco buildup.
When Jak waded out of the surf, his fingers were wrinkled and his hair was a mess, but he couldn't have cared less. It was as if months of tension had uncoiled and drifted away in the lagoon, leaving him lighter for it. Humming cheerfully, Jak wrung seawater out of his tunic and bent down to pick up his boots. A glance upward made him pause.
Mar was still with the six kids who had been playing with catapults on the shore, but now they were all clustered together, staring at him.
"What?" Jak asked self-consciously. His mood was beginning to deflate.
The oldest child there, roughly twelve or thirteen, pointed at the water.
"You went to the edge of the reef!"
Confused, Jak looked to the one-armed teacher for explanation. She looked as startled as her charges, but also a little impressed.
"You've got guts, I'll give you that," she said after a second, "But then, Seek here says you're new to Spargus, so I guess no one told you about the reef."
Jak laced up his boots and stood, brushing off sand. "Oh. Well, I didn't touch it, if that's what you're worried about. It doesn't look that healthy."
The teacher -- Korah, Daxter would later tell him -- grimaced.
"Yeah, that's our fault. Last generation didn't understand the damage yellow eco residue can do to coral. Took a couple years to pinpoint the shells ejected from the turret as the problem."
She shrugged.
"It's healing at its own pace. But that's not what the kids are concerned about. They thought you were going to go over the reef."
Jak actually laughed, surprising himself.
"Into dark water before I've had a chance to get a headlamp? Right. I'd want to be able to see what's down there."
A boy about Mar's age grimaced comically. "That's not allowed! You'll get eaten!"
"No I won't."
"Yeah you will!"
Jak boldly tousled the kid’s already messy black hair.
"I'm not afraid of sharks."
Korah cleared her throat.
"It's not sharks you have to watch for."
She pointed out towards the small island Jak had spotted past the reef. "That's Mother and Child Island. We don't swim there, and we don't take motorized boats there. The sounds attract the Scylla."
Daxter left off playing some kind of marble game with a little girl and cringed. "Uh...you mean the beastie on the edge of old maps? The "here there be monsters" Scylla?"
"I thought those were made up!" Jak looked just a little too eager.
"Nope." Korah shook her shaved head. "She's real, alright. Don't know how many of her kind there are out there, but she likes this coast for the smaller squid that hang around, and the occasional swimmer."
Daxter's fur puffed out. "Jak, if you try to take me past that reef, I'm gonna unionize."
Jak shaded his eyes and stared at the water as if he could see the colossal squid.
"So has anybody fought her or chased her off before?"
Korah's tone turned sharp. "Don't even think about it, newbie. Not only is that a fool's errand, it would unbalance the ecosystem."
Another one of the two older kids nodded. "The Scylla eats the squid and smaller sharks so they don't come bother us. If there's no Scylla, something bigger will move in."
Intrigued, Mar asked, "Bigger like what?"
The girl bent slightly to look him in the eye. "Ever seen the Colossal Blue shark?"
"No," answered Mar, and at the same time Jak and Daxter answered, "Yes!" With wildly different levels of enthusiasm.
"Yeah." The girl tossed auburn hair over her shoulder and straightened. "The Scylla keeps the Colossal Blues out of the area. Teacher says we give her her space, and she gives us ours as long as we don't swim past the reef."
Reluctantly, Jak agreed that the rule made sense in context. But now he really wanted to see the giant scylla.

God, ASDHASHD brainrotting shipping hours because Billie (@coastercrushed) is awesome and enables me with Mapplethorpe and Doe in the Murmaid AU
Mape isn't a mermaid per the AU, saved by the fact that he's not one of the Entity's guaranteed catches. Doe? Damned in almost all verses to be caught and captured by the Entity at some point as a food source. But Mape only has one or two instances of this occurring, so it was a coinflip as to whether he'd be a fishman or a human and it landed on human!
Mape, rather than living on a small town located inland (at least relatively given Australia) resides on the coast, and being a semi-outcast kid that he is, spends much of the time wandering the beaches and surfing. Though surfing is far, far from a beast even comparable to skateboarding, and he's (lovingly) quite the cringefail when it comes to it.
Wipeouts are a 50/50 occurrence, and though they've never been more than a mouth and nosefull of saltwater, a feeling of intense disorientation and a sudden burst of adrenaline and riding the waves to be pushed back towards the surface.
Mape may be a cringefail when it comes to boarding, but he knows his safety and what to do when he inevitably falls.
Though in one circumstance as he fell, passing through the storm of bubbles into the calm beneath the waves, he caught sight of murmaid!Doe at a distance, watching. Fins and nets on full display and a look in her eye he couldn't place, but it didn't seem predatory, more excited.
Now, murmaid!Doe, as we all know, she's not a strong hunter given her young age and not having a pack to rely on to secure difficult kills or protect her. She was, in that instance, watching Mapplethorpe, excitedly hoping that he wouldn't be able to surface, that he could drown and she could make an easy meal out of him.
MAPPLETHORPE DID NOT KNOW THIS, likewise, with a brainrot of helpful mermaids in pop culture drowning out a long storied history of mermaids existing as malevolent entities... he uh, he did not see the writing on the walls. Instead, in his mind, he saw that murmaid watching him as a sign of interest, or friendship or maybe Disney channel-esc love, waiting to save him in the case he drowned; not drag him away to his death like she truthfully intended.
And well, it stuck in his head! He never thought to confide in most, I mean, on some level he KNEW how unbelievable it would sound. A mermaid watching him with intent, Felicity would be worried, had he hit his head? Lost too much oxygen in his plunge. Chester would just laugh though, this is what happened to those sailors that hadn't seen women in years, Mapplethorpe, they started seeing sharks as women. But Mapplethorpe KNEW, he wasn't delusional, he saw what he saw. This murmaid, his Ariel as he started to call her. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to know everything about her.
Why was she alone? Everything about mermaids in media had them traveling in groups. Had something happened? That would explain why she was covered in nets, fishing line and with decidedly unnatural pieces sticking out of her. Was she hurting? Did she need help? Like those videos of men rescuing sea turtles and untangling them. Had she been waiting to help him so he could help her? Clever, through deduction and healthy tempering of his ego by his insecurity, Mapplethorpe deduced this MUST be the explanation for her watching and waiting.
So Mape decides, he will have to help his Ariel! He waits for the next week of his boarding, floating on the water rather than attempting to work himself up a wave, waiting, expecting the mermaid to show herself and ask. She never does, she is there, he confirms that much sticking his head in the waters and coming face to face with her. But she never works up the courage, maybe she's afraid? OH HE WAS SO STUPID! OBVIOUSLY she'd be afraid, she had a harpoon embedded in one of her thighs! Humans did this, she probably feared them just as much as she knew she needed their help! He'd have to earn her trust.
Doe meanwhile, is EXCLUSIVELY hunting him and becoming more and more ballsy when it comes to approaching him. In the past, she'd had a circumstance when she tried to grab a surfer, she'd closed around his leg when he pulled out a knife and drove it through her hand. Since then she learned the hard lesson that surfers weren't easy victims and hesitance needed to be taken. But Mapplethorpe, he seemed to know exactly the ways to disarm her worry. Had Mapplethorpe been trying he could have been an excellent murmaid hunter, instead, he only wanted to help, to know her, to bridge that gap.
When the day comes that murmaid!Doe finally has the courage to poke her head above the surface and to peer onto the board, Mape is so happy he could explode. He doesn't know how much he is dancing on the line, but in true Doe taming fashion, he pulls out a snack, gummy worms to share with her and it's... baffling. Murmaid!Doe loves them, obviously, gummies are a weakness of hers, but its strange, the food is feeding her but not out of fear. She's just as starstruck as Mapplethorpe is!
The next weeks become a ritual, snacks, a little waterproof radio and his board. Murmaid!Doe is interacting with him proper then, in her feelings are tingling, but it's pod based. Is he trying to introduce her to his pod, become a part of hers? But Mape is just living it up, his cool and awesome mermaid best friend!
There comes a day when friendship and nature comes to test: Mapplethorpe decides to swim with her, he WANTED to, jumped off the board with excitement. But in such deep water, his swimming wasn't as strong, he did his best without fins, letting her swim circles around him. But she could feel it, deep in her core, that predatory instinct, his fatigue, he'd lose his fight soon. He was perfectly suited for her to drag him down, she wasn't hungry, but he was open for the taking. A hunk of meat left in front of a dog. YET, she couldn't bring herself to drag him down, no... he was pod to her, he wasn't like her, she couldn't explain but he was pod. She wouldn't betray him, not like that! When his strength weakened and he felt that split-second panic when he didn't have it in him to push himself back onto the board. Murmaid!Doe made up for his weakness, lifting him. Mape's misunderstanding realized and now grounded in reality.
From the date of their swim, the situationship grows, Mape is coming to visit Doe just as much as he does Chester and with each visit, he's luring her closer into shore. He will rescue her from the garbage stuck to her.
Eventually, he manages to convince her to beach herself with him, riding a wave on her belly, her joy, coming in pulsing vocalizations and joyful whistles is so sweet. It's a terrible contrast to the fear that immediately follows, as she begins to turn and pivot in the sand. She's stopped, Mapplethorpe is saying a phrase she knows well: 'hold on' and grips her under her arms and struggles to pull her back onto the beach. Doe's fear grows then, struggling and gnashing her teeth in an attempt to bite. But she runs ice cold when she sees it: Mape has a knife, a fish knife.
So, so long had she considered him prey then pod that she never stopped to consider if he could be predator. She struggled more violently in the sand, attempting to drag herself back to the sea. But when that came to success, she just, froze, waiting a bite and the pain, but instead all she felt was relief.
Mapplethorpe didn't try to cut her throat, she never felt the kiss of the blade, instead, with a cold pinch, she felt him push the blunt edge against her raw scales and cut through the nets and lines and she breathed a sigh of relief she never considered she'd been holding for so long. He freed her from the weight, then he turned to pull out the old blade and pieces of a broken off harpoon. Mapplethorpe was no medic, but his help was more than she'd ever had, and all the edge and worry faded fast as the pain faded to white noise.
That moment in time, his helping her even in such open and overt weakness and vulnerability, it changed things between them. Set the road to the poly fish husband Mapplethorpe we all know and love. With Doe now more freed, she took to hunting with more vigor than she ever had, first with fish then seals but quickly escalating. Mapplethorpe noticed the disappearance of swimmers but he never brought it to Doe. He knew on some level, but he didn't want to be confronted with the fact that he'd saved a monster.
Doe is adopted into a new pod after her recovery from the wounds and Doe introduces Mapplethorpe to her pod, it's not an easy transition at first. Doe seems snappish and Mape chalks it up to Doe not wanting to share him but really it's Doe asserting she's in charge and that Mape is not allowed to be eaten. He IS a part of the pod even though he isn't one of them!
The other murmaids of Doe's Pod warming up to Mape and starting to see him in the same way that she views him, realizing the poly fish husband Mape transformation as he gets to know all of them in his own way, bringing a waterproof radio and letting them pick out and listen to music. Going with them for swims, following with them to explore coves and generally chill out and bond!
DOE AND THE GIRLS SWIMMING WITH MAPE AND LEARNING THAT THEY CAN EXTEND HIS TIME UNDERWATER BY PASSING OXYGEN FROM THEIR GILLS TO THEIR MOUTHS AND KISSING IT OVER TO HIM TO BREATH!!
Mape slowly going into the darkside but in a very productive and somewhat sweet way as he takes an interest in Marina Biology and Zoology through them and comes to not only turn a blind eye to their man-eating but even enabling and taking part in it in order to protect their identity and the odd little family they've built for themselves!
MAPE GETTING TO SEE AND TAKE PART AS THE GIRLS BECOME MORE POWERFUL MURMAIDS IN TIME, Doe going from 5ft tall barely and a wave rider, to 7ft and a wave breaker and eventually 10ft as a wave maker but she still loves him all the same and wants to cuddle like how they could when he could straight up lift and carry her out of the water
JUST THEEEEEMMMMM!!!!

The Mershark & Mermaid - Part 6
The young sharkling stared at the fish before her unsure where to start. “If you don’t eat you won’t grow big and strong.” Her Papa said. Even so, Sarada had never eaten a fish before. The two were in Sasuke’s home, he lived down deep in a cave where no one could bother him. It seemed quite lonely but on the plus side, they didn’t have to worry about any unexpected intruders. “It’s staring at me…” The little mershark muttered poking it. Sasuke sighed and was about to give her his piece instead until the little sharkling disappeared and brought back a bunch of seaweed. “But that’s okay, I found this.” She said placing it in a ‘bowl.’ Well that was what the humans referred it to Sakura had told him. “Does Mama make you this?”
“Yeah, it’s my favourite.” She grinned slurping away using her claws; unfortunately, seaweed wasn’t enough for a growing sharkling. “It’ll get easier… as you get older your instincts will kick in and you won’t hesitate but to go in for the kill.” Sarada had stopped eating at that, so… she was just going to attack innocent creatures for no reason? “Is this why everyone back home is afraid of me?” She may be young but wasn’t stupid. It was obvious how different, bigger even Sarada was than merfolks. They didn’t like her clearly but it never occurred to her that they could simply… be afraid. She only had a few close friends but would never want to hurt them. “We’re predators Sarada, and they’re the prey. That’s how the world works.” If she was going to survive as a sharkling, he had to toughen her up. Otherwise, she may as well live with Sakura and at this rate neither was a great option. “But you never ate Mama, so you’re a hipocrit, Papa.” This again. “I think you mean a hypocrite.” “That’s what I said, hipocrit,” Sasuke smirked amused, for someone who talks a lot it was adorable how she pronounced certain words wrong. And he was still getting used to being called ‘Papa.’ Papa, Papa, Papa. It was like she wouldn’t stop saying it, not that he could blame her. “But Sarada won’t eat fish, I will be a fish-free shark.”
“You really think you can decide that.” “Yup!” Such confidence. “Finish your food,” was all he responded ruffling her hair, he'll let her be for now. Sarada pouted trying to sort out her small bang. “Yo Sasuke! You in there?”
Suigetsu? Immediately Sasuke was on high alert, as was his daughter. Sasuke told her to remain quiet as he went out to get rid of his friend, only to find another two sharks waiting. Did something happen? “What is it? I’m busy.” “Yeah, yeah. You’d rather brood alone but this is urgent. Apparently, a mermaid was spotted near the area not too long ago.” Ah, most likely Sakura. She should be back home by now though. “And get this, Neji also met one. She was looking for some bracelet or something. I’m telling you Sasuke, they’re taking advantage of us. They think we’ve gone… soft…” He wasn’t like where this going. “What’s your point?” “My point is, the next intruder who comes in should get a warning, regardless if they’re friends with pinky or not. A bite, a scratch? We’re sharks Sasuke, they are food! You can’t keep expecting us to live like this!” “I couldn't care less if you want to go ahead and kill a mermaid but leave Sakura and her friends alone. That was the deal.” At this little Sarada had peeked out to see what was going on. There were three other sharks with her Papa. A white-haired male with a white tail, his fangs were big and scary. A red-haired female with a black tail which Sarada found to be mesmerising. It wasn’t every day she got to meet a fellow female shark and her Papa was right about them growing bigger. She was twice Mama’s size, did that mean she would grow as big as well? And finally, an orange-haired male who was slightly bigger than the other two but not like her Papa, with a purple tail. Despite the size, he gave off a calming aura.
Sarada was both intrigued but also terrified. On one claw, she really wanted to meet them, as they were friends of Sasuke so surely they wouldn’t eat her right? However, Papa had told her strictly to stay inside and warned her about the dangers.
“They're mocking us, they know we won't touch them so they keep coming back. They need to be taught a lesson.” “I think you’re the one who’s getting cocky. Would you like a reminder of what I did with your tail?” “Sasuke...” Jugo could already feel the urge to kill coming from the Uchiha so got in between for the other shark's sake.
“I told you this was a bad idea,” Karin muttered to Suigetsu. “Papa you shouldn’t be threading your friends.” Sarada appeared beside him with a serious expression, once again mispronouncing her words. “Mama would not approve.” “I thought I told you to stay in the cave.” Despite the deadliness in his voice and anger, Sarada wasn't bothered, as if she was already used to it. All three sharks turned to the little sharkling who seemed remarkably like Sasuke, except for as long as they knew him Sasuke had shown no other interest besides the mermaid. “Who's she?” Suigetsu pointed to the sharkling confused. “Hi! I'm Sarada.” She was about to swim up and shake his claw but Sasuke pulled her back behind him. “Sarada.” He gave her a stern warning.
“Sasuke... don't tell me she's...” Karin gave Sasuke a look already knowing the answer. “Shit Sasuke! Your family is going to kill her.” “Language Suigetsu!” Karin bonked him on the head and he rubbed the sore spot. “Oh come on! You can't think this is okay? I mean seriously a mermaid and mershark? It's unnatural. You could have any shark in the world Sasuke and you chose her. Even pink hair isn't natural for a mermaid.” “Hey!” Sarada swam up to Suigetsu frowning. “Mama is really pretty!” There! That will teach him and swam back beside her Papa. All whilst the white shark remained quiet, trying to process if that was meant to be a comeback. “She really taught you,” Karin smirked enjoying the baffled look on Suigetsu's face and the sharkling's smugness. “Oi, that wasn’t… don’t encourage her!”
“I would appreciate it if you didn't insult my daughter's mother.” “Daughter's mother? So you two aren't...” Suigetsu made a motion with his arms and Sasuke twitched resisting the urge to punch him. Not in front of his daughter at least.
“I have no intention of starting such things with her again. You all keep your side of the bargain and I'll keep mine. You leave Sakura and her friends alone and I'll stay away from her.” Now Sarada was even more confused, didn't Papa say he would make it up to Mama or is he lying to protect her again? Gah, adults were so confusing. “Right.” Suigetsu didn't believe it. And neither did the other two, it was clear as day how he still harboured feelings towards the mermaid. Did they understand such feelings? Nope, but he was their friend and they only wanted what was best for him. “But is it really safe to keep her here Sasuke, your family... especially Madara? She wouldn't be safe, not mention Orochimaru.” “Karin's right, what if they find out about this Sakura?” Jugo asked, worried for the little one. She was too innocent for their world. “For now, we're sharing custody, Sarada only has to be here for as long as Sakura allows me. And if they do find out they don't have to know she's Sakura’s. As far as they're concerned she's from a random shark and by then Sarada will be a blood-thirsty-” he turned to look at his daughter only she was nowhere to be seen. Instead, they found her behind him touching a small fish's nose with her claw. “Boop! Now you boop me.” The small fish then booped its nose with hers. All four sweatdropped at the scene.
“You are both screwed!” Suigetsu muttered, oh yes this plan was foolproof. Jugo was the first to snap out of it swimming and introducing himself to Sarada. The small fish didn't seem frightened either and happily swam around the two.
“Do you like fishes too Mr Jugo?” Sarada's eyes sparkled with curiosity. “Uhh...” he wasn't sure how to respond without breaking her heart.
~~~
She knew it was too risky to swim all the way out here, but Tenten had successfully snuck out and needed to find out the truth. Whatever the Uchiha was hiding, she would get to the bottom of it, Sakura deserved some closure. But how to find such a shark? The Hyuga didn’t seem too happy when she was there last time, she could always pretend to lose her bracelet again if push comes to shove. “Last time we met was here?” She swam looking around. “Or was it here… great now I got myself lost!” And she was talking to herself.
Another bonus.
“Looking for someone?” A voice startled her and she almost threw her shell weapon at him. “Aaaah, don’t startle me!” “What do you want? I’d thought you would have learnt your lesson after last time.” As polite as always. “Neji Hyuga,” Tenten stated as if she didn’t hear what he said before. His eye twitched at such disrespect. “I challenge you to a game.” “A game?” What a ridiculous request. “Yes, if I win you have to answer all my questions. All of them!” “And if I win?”And if he wins… uh she didn’t think this through. “What’s in it for me?”
What was in it for him? “Uh… I’ll do whatever you want? Including something really embarrassing, anything.” It’s not like she would lose to him anyway. With what Tenten had in mind. The mershark tsked before swimming away.
“Enough, I don't want to indulge and get involved with you.” Go figure. Guess she'll have to hit him where it really hurts. “So, you're afraid to lose?” “You wish.”
“Hey, that's totally fine. I mean I did beat up four sharks myself when I was in my teens so I can understand why-” “Deal.” He wasn't going to let some mermaid push him about.
@macrolago answered:
It was safe to say Gill was no stranger to danger, though while he was aware that there still ought to be some limits for a small fish in the big ocean, this situation was… specific. After all, it was one thing for larger predatory fish to pick off some smaller unlucky others, who couldn’t quite hide or swim away in time, and be on their way. That was truthfully only natural in the ocean, as unfortunate as it was for the latter party. But this was clearly proving to be more than a necessary hunt to merely stave off hunger. Even fish who were well hidden were being meticulously ambushed, dragged out of their homes and hiding spots by a gang of gluttonous brutes who didn’t seem to know (or, perhaps rather, care) when to leave well enough alone. They were more or less bullies, as far as Gill saw, plain and simple. But large and dangerous bullies with apparently oversized appetites. And, of course, no fish around here was really fit to challenge such a threat without very likely being eaten, themselves. There were plenty of fish in the sea… but these guys seemed to have planned on clearing out this neighborhood in particular. And frustration had taken the wheel over his sense of self preservation, so Gill began to swim over with the intention of giving who looked to be the head of the outfit a piece of his mind. Perhaps Gill figured, surely, he was clever and quick enough to have a decent chance of getting away if they were, unsurprisingly, not the listening-to-reason type. Or, maybe, a part of him knew that what was probably more likely was that he might just be able to distract the predators long enough to let at least a few more fish find more secure hiding spots or even flee the reef altogether to safely wait out the danger. And he'd decided to take it upon himself to risk such. Gill didn’t make it far, though, before the sense of something (or, as it would turn out, someone) very large looming over him was almost impossible to ignore. And the frantic, though hushed, warnings from his friends, hiding nearby on the outskirts of the reef amongst rocks and seagrass, for Gill to ‘turn around’, ‘look out’ and the like, only really confirmed his suspicion. He slowed to a halt, looking upwards with the dreadful expectation of seeing that this situation only suddenly became much worse by a far bigger and even more dangerous new predator. But this Great White, as far as Gill had learned up to this point, usually really wasn’t looking to cause trouble. Least of all for smaller fish who were far more vulnerable than himself. Fins flicked at Gill’s side, as he heard the order and almost obeyed… but then reconsidered as he repositioned himself to address Bruce properly.
Tumblr media
“You know? Normally, I’d be hesitant to argue with sharks, but I’m afraid they’ve made this a bit personal.” Hiding? Oh, no. Although it may have been a risk, Gill wanted to have his place in this reef known. The Great White's arrival had given him an idea, though. "I'm not be opposed to the company, though. Maybe you've got something that'll help our unwelcome guests reconsider their actions tonight?" Though he was speaking vaguely, he looked Bruce over in a way so as to indicate that the 'something' he was referring to was, well, Bruce.
The great white blinked a moment at Gill's response before realization settled in and lifted a brow. "What've ye got in mind?" Bruce asked, not bothering to hide a mischievous grin that wormed its way onto the shark's face.
Although Bruce had always preferred a bit of persuasive public speaking, he wasn't entirely against throwing his weight around for a good reason. The few perks that came with such a threatening display of enormity and a multitude of serrated teeth meant that he had to do little to persuade the average predator -- and even the average bully-- into submission. Nonviolently, of course, with usually little to no effort on his part. A grin a few inches too wide, leaning in a bit close just to get the point across for his defense. Not for his own gain, of course, but for the safety of his fish friends. As the largest carnivorous fish in the seas, friends were a bit hard to come by and harder still to maintain.
Making sure no one got gobbled up on his watch tended to be one of Bruce's highest priorities nowadays. And for a friend of little Nemo, that wasn't asking much at all.
"Well, I reckon I gotta ask first who's on yer tail. Groupers? Snappers? Grunts?" A myriad of mesopredators habitually made their ways through the reef every now and then.
I have thought of a cute drawing request if possible to do pls! And Thank you ^^
Sage from Sonic Frontiers scuba diving underwater in the peaceful ocean and swimming alongside the Bull Shark Pup aka the shark protagonist from the game Maneater
Details: Sage be wearing a short sleeved digitalised black and red swimsuit and red black ai style like diving fins
and diving mask on her face and distorted like scuba tank on her back.
with the mouthpiece in her mouth oddly Sage can’t drown since she is Ai but she was secretly given a advanced function by Eggman to withstand water and feel it.
so red like distorted glitchy ai air bubbles can be seen flowing around her giving off a cool unnatural effect . And Sage would be able to pet the Bull Shark Pup’s snout while swimming alongside it as it even helps protects her well actually they protect eachother. and the Bull Shark Pup isn’t afraid of Sage’s ai like abilities and teleporting ness and is quite silently innocently curious.
the background is peaceful like coral reef with small fish’s swimming about and even hints of old underwater ancient ruins. just something for fun I thought of and no one didn’t think to do.
May not get to draw all that on one stream but I can aim to draw Sage scuba diving for sure.
I will add it to my list of request.
Me and my friend @shapter-draws made some of… Helluva Boss x Lovecraft AU?
We’re both not big fans of Helluva Boss, but we are TOTALLY big fans of Lovecraft.
So there are the point: all the characters are human, the shark-demons are the Deep Ones.
In this AU Crimson is a port mafia boss in a small and very old Italian town nearly the sea, which is pretty resemble to these infamous ones as Innsmouth and Oakmont. There are you barely find any kind of people you get used too - people here have some terrible deviations, they have scary, deformed faces, long tales and flippers which make them look like a sharks, and if you look closer to them you’ll see the gills and big sharp teeth. People call it “The Innsmouth syndrome”. The terrible illness, which is pretty wild spread in this out-of-the-way sea towns.
Crimson moved here with his young wife and a baby son long time ago. He wasn’t rich before, but, no one knows why, but after some time his business went uphill. He become very rich in this place… as soon as his wife “died in accident” and he got a lot of these gross fishmen as his partners.
And ye, as you might expect, Crimson sacrificed his wife to the sea, he sacrificed her to Father Dagon and the Deep Ones in trade for them to protect his ships in the sea, where he illegally sell the treasures and other things. Now, being the part of the cult, he succeed and became so wealthy.
Moxxie doesn’t even know about it: he barely remembers his mother, he only remembers how once he saw her shoe in the water, when his father forced him to drown someone (another victim of cult?). Despite this, growing up around these horrifying fish faces, he was afraid of his father and never asked him why this people always near.
Then, after some time when Moxxie left the town and get his own life with his wife and new work, he received a letter from his father, where he invited them all to his house for a business. Frankly speaking, Crimson became a bankrupt, because the term of the deal with Dagon comes to its end. To tie his relationship with Deep Ones better, and make their contract endless, he needs his son to marry one of fishmen (if you haven’t read “The shadow upon the Innsmouth” it is how it usually works and it is how human make deals with them xd).
And yes, a young sharkman Chaz is a perfect choice for this!
And yea, here Chaz and Moxxie met each other in teenage years! The story was pretty same to the canon, and he betrayed him too. Moxxie never knew what his father really does and he took a part in some of deals: they drop banks and illegally sell the alcohol and drugs. And during one of this deal when it went wrong, Chaz ran away and left Moxxie alone. But, Crimson saved his son from the problems, he bailed him out of jail.
So, after some time Chaz purposed Crimson to make him richer if he tied his family “closer” to his tribesmen and Father Dagon through the marriage. How Crimson could miss this chance?
But, whatever, during the time they stayed in Crimson’s home, Millie and Blitzo find out about the cult and marriage, so they all had to take Moxxie and run away at the night before the contract happened. Because if Moxxie married Chaz, he dealt with Father Dagon and nothing would save him.
So, it’s a very first variant of AU and there are also some facts:
- Crimson is not the first who did this scheme. In Innsmouth and Oakmont a lot of human families have mafia business with Deep Ones.
- Crimson is really an occultist. He is graduated from Miskatonic university. He is thirsty not only for gold, but for forbidden knowledges, and Deep Ones provided it both to him.
- Chaz is so proud of his origin. He is “a hot sexy man and shark traits makes it only better. Rawr~”
- Chaz really loved Moxxie, but he was young and coward, and really knew that his father and others won’t let Moxxie to stay in a jail.
- I.M.P. aren’t the killers. They still do not so successfull business, but they didn’t escape so easy. There’s no Lovecraftian story without eldritch horror ;)
- Crimson still being so cruel, BUT he didn’t kill Chaz, because he didn’t lie to him obviously, and he couldn’t ruin the contract with his protectors.
- Millie is a countryside woman and her family lived nearby the blasted heath where lived Gardner family and the meteorite fell long time ago. It refers to the “Color out of space”! Millie got her extraordinary physical ability because she had to bear with mutated animals because of impact of the Colour Out of Space. But since the alien left this place long time ago and whole the impact caused by small its peace wildspread around, these mutated animals are mostly enormous, large and aggressive regular animals.
- All the “imp” characters aren’t so much cruel as they are in canon. And Chaz still being stupid horny man.
