Random quotes that have been said in my Ocs lore just for funsies! This is the fill-in for random facts for tonight since I can’t think of any right now (the quotes are color-coded depending on what timeline they came from- blue is Crown, red is Connors, and purple is Crest)
“Whoever brought you into this world, I would like to humbly apologize to them for whatever I’ve done to deserve being in your presence.” - Commodore Kai
“Are you okay??? Like, genuinely, are you okay? How hard did you hit your head when you and Morden crashed onto that island?” - Iris
“How is it that you’ve murdered several people with little to no mercy or thought about it, yet you’re afraid of a small little fish?” - Neviro
“You are… interesting, to say the least. Surely you don’t do this all the time? …Please tell me he isn’t always like this.” - King Calvus IV, before dying
“If you were a bird, you’d be a magpie. I think that idea speaks for itself.” - Morden
“Perhaps the idea of living longer than a fish would make you panic. …Now that I think about it, I don’t believe it’s an idea anymore.” - Enizor
“The type of food you eat is concerning. Please take better care of yourself, and actually eat more than just some raw shark.” - Warren
“If I could, I would question everything about you. But I won’t. Because I can’t. I’m pretty sure you just came out the womb being this feral, and I’m not willing to look any further.” - Edward Kenton
“The fact you are still alive is a miracle. However, the idea you have more than one braincell in your head is even more of a miracle than the previous statement.” - Lord Elius, also before dying

GREAT ISEKAI AU IDEA (reader-insert)
Okay so. This has just sprung up on me, I have not worked this out at all in my head but I feel like this has potential.
So, the you get got by truck-kun, and are isekai'd into the world of Arcame Odyssey... and for some reason you spawn in at Cirrus Island, all grown up, memories intact. Which is weird because this isn't the Player's entrance. In fact, news of Frostmill's curse has just now reached the island.
You realise too late that you're playing the role of Beringer and decide to take matters into your own hands --or something like that, I haven't thought lots on it.
#arcane odyssey#isekaiau#beanthoughts#found this in the basement#if you have ideas#bring em over#beringer needs more lore#warren needs more lore#actually I don't know if Warren would recognise you#or think you're fake#or that you've thanos snapped beringer

2022 top 10 lists
my favorite end of year tradition is making lists and trying so hard to remember literally anything i've put into my ears and eyeballs
top 10 discovered songs
note: not all 2022 releases, though a lot are
The Last Goodbye feat. Bettye LaVette - ODESZA (aka the most song of all time)
Nobody Speak feat. Run The Jewels - DJ Shadow (shoutout to my irl best friend for showing me this tour de force of a music video. this song was my top spotify track of the year also go figure)
Dynasties & Dystopia - Denzel Curry, Gizzle, Bren Joy (truly the entire Arcane soundtrack slaps from start to finish)
Dance Now - JID, Kenny Mason (really challenging to pick only one track from JID's album for this list ftr, runner ups for me include Kody Blu 31 and Better Days)
Freaks - ATARASHII GAKKO!! & Warren Hue
Violence - POLIÇA
Running Back To You feat. RebMoe - Holiday87
Star Walkin' - Lil Nas X (TWO league of legends songs on this list???!?!??!?!?! unfortunately LoL does make absolute bangin tracks and that is not my fault)
Pretend feat. Kota the Friend - pluko
Better Days - Mr Little Jeans (at least one song called Better Days made this list I guess lol)
top 10 albums
note: as per tradition these are all 2022 releases babey! also REALLY challenging to narrow down this list, quite a few i had to cut, so this list is entirely based on personal preference - could have gone differently if i'd gone for a best albums list rather than sarah's favorite albums list
The Last Goodbye - ODESZA (congrats to ODESZA for topping both of my music lists this year, honestly a difficult feat)
Forever Story - JID (if this list was based on what I think were objectively the best albums of the year I think this one would probably top the list, just an immaculate record from start to finish)
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers - Kendrick Lamar
Laurel Hell - Mitski
Hold the Girl - Rina Sawayama
The Family - Brockhampton (honestly crazy that i listed a BH album this far down on the list this year but since it was a fairly late release i had a lot less time to get attached to it, also imo BH's best albums ever are Ginger and Roadrunner so really hard to follow up on those but i still think this and TM are killer records)
Brighter Future 2 - Big Gigantic
Hideous - Oliver Sim
<COPINGMECHANISM> - WILLOW
NO THANK YOU - Little Simz (a bit of a last-minute addition to the list, big rip to Superorganism whose "World Wide Pop" would have taken this last spot if Little Simz had not dropped absolute fire like three weeks before the end of the year)
top 10 movies/shows
Everything Everywhere All At Once dir. Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert
Everything Everywhere All At Once dir. Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert
Everything Everywhere All At Once dir. Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert (i watched this movie three times this year don't @ me)
Arcane: Season 1 (I believe this is the only item on this list that isn't a 2022 release)
Dimension 20: A Starstruck Odyssey
Dimension 20: A Court of Fey and Flowers (am i allowed to put two seasons from the same show on this list? well i listed eeaao three times so i do whatever i want sorry about it)
Fire Island dir. Andrew Ahn
Our Flag Means Death: Season 1
What We Do in the Shadows: Season 4
Luca dir. Enrico Casarosa (never mind this is the other item on this list that isn't a 2022 release)
#sarah.txt#2022 recap#how obvious is it that i didn't manage to watch much at all this year lol#i have a lot on my to watch list by now so we'll see if 2023 is any better for the content consuming brain cell

Read / Download Season of the Witch: How the Occult Saved Rock and Roll by Peter Bebergal Ebook in PDF or Epub
Download PDF Season of the Witch: How the Occult Saved Rock and Roll by Peter Bebergal EBook [Read Online] Simple Way to Read Online or Download Season of the Witch: How the Occult Saved Rock and Roll by Peter Bebergal Link : http://filtow.com/book-item/20821134-season-of-the-witch.html Click & Download Your Book Book Overview: This epic cultural and historical odyssey unearths the full influence of occult traditions on rock and roll—from the Beatles to Black Sabbath—and shows how the marriage between mysticism and music changed our world. From the hoodoo-inspired sounds of Elvis Presley to the Eastern odysseys of George Harrison, from the dark dalliances of Led Zeppelin to the Masonic imagery of today’s hip-hop scene, the occult has long breathed life into rock and hip-hop—and, indeed, esoteric and supernatural traditions are a key ingredient behind the emergence and development of rock and roll. With vivid storytelling and laser-sharp analysis, writer and critic Peter Bebergal illuminates this web of influences to produce the definitive work on how the occult shaped—and saved—popular music. As Bebergal explains, occult and mystical ideals gave rock and roll its heart and purpose, making rock into more than just backbeat music, but into a cultural revolution of political, spiritual, sexual, and social liberation. Editorial Reviews Review “A fascinating thesis reflecting the time when everyone seemed to give rock and roll the status of, if not a religion, then certainly that of a spiritual belief system. Peter Bebergal’s Season of the Witch brought it all back. It's an absorbing read deserving an important place in rock literature.” —Michael Moorcock "Rather than turning in either a fanboyish rhapsody or a scholarly dissertation, he treads the line between those approaches. The result is passionate, informed, gripping and at times wonderfully lyrical." —NPR “This sharply written narrative illuminates the centrality of the occult imagination at the heart of rock and roll.” —Library Journal (starred review) “A thoroughly researched, absorbing, entertaining ride for anyone who’s ever played the Beatles’ ‘White Album’ backwards.” —Andrea Shea, WBUR/ NPR “Kudos to Bebergal for taming the wily spirits of rock long enough to capture their essence in this fascinating book. Perhaps more impressive is the book’s comprehensiveness—from Delta blues to beatnik bluster to acid evangelists to metal overlords, Season of the Witch puts the hellfire in highbrow.” —The Contrarian “Skillfully woven...will delight any music fan and music historian in equal measure.” —Spirituality Today (5/5 stars) “Peter Bebergal has written of his own searching, reconciling spiritual aspirations and personal background, in The Faith Between Us and Too Much To Dream. Both are on my bookshelves. Here, in Season Of The Witch, Peter presents an overview of one “alternative influence” at work on some of those intending to change the world. The world they hoped to change was a dangerous mess. Now, half a century later…” —Robert Fripp “This book is a glorious headlong rush into the dark, full of the electricity of the arcane. I loved it.” —Warren Ellis, author of Gun Machine and Transmetropolitan “From grimoires to topographic oceans, from heavy metal to hip-hop, Peter Bebergal tracks the Mysteries through half a century of popular music (and some underground noise as well). At once an overview of rock's mystic rebellions and a handy primer on modern esoterica, Season of the Witch suggests that we may need to round out the trinity of sex, drugs, and rock' n' roll with an additional deity: the occult, another primal portal to a re-enchanted world.” —Erik Davis, author of Led Zeppelin IV and Nomad Codes: Adventures in Modern Esoterica “Told with clear-eyed scholarship and delectable anecdotes, Peter Bebergal's mind-expanding occult history opened my third eye to Rock & Roll's awesome power over human behavior. Rock & Roll will never sound the same to me again, and I'm glad about it.” —Mark Frauenfelder, founder of Boing Boing "Bebergal displays an intelligent understanding of the interaction between religion and culture when he argues that the "occult imagination is the vital force of rock-and-roll culture." " —Publishers Weekly. This book is one of best seller books in the world. Many of people very interesting to read this book. So, your life will be regret if you never read this book on your life. “So, how was the new roommate?”
Her tone is suggestive but it takes Lynda a second to understand what she’s referring to. Her cheeks burst aflame, trying to shake off pictures from last night.
“Wilcox!”
“Lynda!” the girl chirps with a giggle.
