I’m going to put this out there, yes I am a Harry Potter fan and no I do not support what JKR says on a certain community
If you have an issue with me or others liking the series/and or believe that ppl who support trans/non-TERFS cannot enjoy the series then please block and move along is all I ask.
I do not post on the series often because of this whole drama crap with Rowling (whom I DO NOT agree with) and the dumb shit she’s been saying it breaks my freaking heart that ppl will villainize/harass others who had nothing to do with her views just for liking a series. I’m in no way defending her words her words or actions for what she has said nor do I endorse those sort of things.
All I’m asking is this if you do have issues with ppl who like the series, then please go ahead and block tags/blogs relating to the franchise if it makes you feel uncomfortable instead of attacking people and or calling them a TERF/Transphobe right off the bat for liking the series (This mainly goes for a select few of the community who were harassing streamers for playing Hogwarts Legacy, please don’t do that as you are only making the LGBTQ+/Trans community look bad because of some bad apples and plus, it’s a good thing about Tumblr with tags).
Just hoping this little piece of advice and post helps coming from a HP Fan even if you don’t like the series because of Rowling. The vast majority of the fandom holds no ill will against you or your identity and if you don’t feel comfortable, plz block tags and such and don’t interact. I do not want you to get upset or feel uneasy so please do yourself a favor and keep away if you need to.
You can hate the creator, but still love the series
Thank you and hope you all have a lovely day folks, and please remember to treat your fellow humans with respect who aren’t total backwards folks. Please treat each other with respect regardless of a person’s identity or if you don’t have anything good to say, keep it to yourself as silence is golden in these situations.
I cannot change a person’s opinions on a franchise nor do I intend to do just that, you are entitled to your own opinions and I respect that as you cannot satisfy everyone.

It's really simple. If you're born with a vagina and you naturally have elevated testosterone levels, you're a man. If you have a vagina and you take testosterone, you're a woman. But also if you have a vagina, you'll never be a man. But also if you have higher testosterone then you were never a woman. Woman never yes man a vagina testosterone no was an elevated. Vagina man.

Right, considering the current state of corporate politics on this site, and that it seems that only those affected seem to be actively speaking on the matter, this needs to be dragged out to a wider audience.
This extends to refusing to believe in bogus call-out posts for frankly minuscule thinks such as being horny or kinky, especially if the target is presenting in an ‘unconventional’ manner, (therians, etc.) this double standard where it is seen as ‘degenerate’ for transfemmes to merely exist in certain spaces, yet everyone else is fine to do so is disgusting and part of the reason for the backlash.
PUTTING TERFS DNI IS NOT THE BE ALL AND END ALL, YOU GENUINELY HAVE TO PUT YOUR MORALS OF BEING RESPECTFUL INTO PRACTICE.

REBLOG IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS A TRANSFEM SAFE SPACE.
We need to show these higher ups how much we truly value them.
Edit 1: Changed the wording of the post and decided to put in a reminder.
Edit 2: Further Re-iteration on the wording and format edits.

I could think of no better way to share the news than this!
So when I was 17, my cat went missing and I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.
Until on Monday, 27th of May, 2024, my friend sent me a FB post asking 'isn't that your mother?' about the person named on the microchip.
Tumblr media
Here he is! 16 years old, and found safe, twelve whole years after he went missing!
Yesterday (Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024) I went to the rescue that had him, and I reclaimed my boy, renaming him Artie! (He'd originally been called 'Cat' because my mother and I couldn't decide on a name)
He's home safe with me now, currently inhabiting my bathroom and purring up a storm every time someone goes in there!
I'll be doing slow introductions between him and my current cat to give them the best possible chance of living in harmony!
Here's some pictures of Artie once we let him out of the carrier:

The thing a lot of people don't seem to understand is that it doesn't really matter if "not all men", because benefiting from a system is functionally identical and morally equal to supporting and perpetuating it. I assumed it was obvious that giving the order to fire is the same as pulling the trigger, but I guess not?
I just think that’s blatantly not true. I think there’s some people that experience significantly less prejudice in society, and to others that looks and functions as privilege. But that same system would sooner turn its back on those people if they criticise the status quo. Their privilege hinges on acting exactly as required.
I wouldn’t compare being born into an unfair society with something so visceral as a military analogy.
I do understand where you’re coming from, however, and a deeply nihilistic part of me wants to agree.
Overall, I think it’s better to see a man as an ally, and not as a villain. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

the thing terfs (and transphobes in general) don't seem to get about sexual preferences re: not being attracted to certain genitals is that like. okay. you have a preference. this feature is a turn-off. but that does not mean it is necessary to constantly broadcast how unattractive and undesirable you find people with this feature. you do not have to do that. in fact, it is generally considered quite rude. sexual compatibility or lack thereof has nothing to do with moral purity or legitimacy.

I've spent the last two weeks speedrunning coming out as a trans woman to my coworkers, extended family, and the assorted friends I'd collected through Facebook and I've been shocked and overwhelmed by how enthusiastically supportive cis women have been in particular. After doomscrolling through TERF shit for the past year, I'd become convinced that cis women tended towards distrust of trans women, with a significant percentage actively vitriolic. But, time and time again, I've received effusive praise from the cis women I come out to. Not just progressive women either: Christian Facebook-moms from Texas have been enormously supportive. I've gotten some support from cis men too, but nothing nearly as passionate, and they've been the source of all the awkward avoidance or disgusted looks I've experienced. It makes complete sense: cis women generally like being women, and most of them like it a lot, so why wouldn't they celebrate somebody else becoming like them? This really drives home how dishonest TERFism is: they present themselves as the voice of women, but really they're just a regressive minority, distorting the issues to lead people away from their inclination towards love and acceptance.
