Ezra building a new lightsaber with the matching piece to Kanan’s! Huyang talking about Kanan! 😭❤️ (was really excited for a second that we were gonna get a new blaster-saber though. Call it gimmicky but that thing was genuinely useful!)
Ezra showing off his skills. Little enough as we got of him, it just reinforced his character journey in Rebels and how much he grew and progressed from being so annoying to ‘yes! That’s our boy!’ And the comm and the armor. Classic Ezra, only missing an air vent crawl. Love him.
And so does Hera! Her space son has returned! SO WHY NO HUG, DAVE???!!😭😤Come on! It’s a streaming show; there are no limits on runtime. Would another thirty seconds to a minute have been too much to ask? It’s gonna be years! We need to see him meet Jacen before that kid actor gets too old!
Also loved the trio fighting their way through, which just highlighted how great Ezra is at teamwork (those last two seasons of Rebels are just great with the way he and Kanan and also he and Sabine just work together like a well oiled machine). And the Force throw echo was great (although uh, Sabine? You just figured out how to pick up a lightsaber two seconds ago, so throwing a person might be a bit overly ambitious? I mean it worked out, and trust in the Force and all, but still)
Sad that Baylan’s story is really only just beginning. 😔 Was hoping for a full resolution for him this season. I guess they’ll have to recast bc I don’t see how they could abandon that plot line at this point.
I’d say that was an issue with the show itself, that it’s mostly all setup and moved very slowly in the first half without actually using that time to really give us information that we needed to know. Important backstory was revealed in vague shreds when there was really no reason for the mystery. Even in Rebels, Sabine has always suffered from delayed-backstory-itis, with the details of her family and her time at the Academy not being shared until the Darksaber arc in S3. That was even more true here. She seemed off to me, and we got only cryptic hints about everything that had happened post-Rebels until the VERY LAST EPISODE. Turns out she has a very good reason for being a different Sabine than we remembered! I get wanting to have Ezra hear it, but the audience needed to know first! And same goes for the whole master/apprentice thing with Ahsoka. They had barely interacted before and then we’re TOLD that there’s this whole relationship there that came sort of out of nowhere. Some things we need to SEE.
Episode 5 was definitely the highlight. Not perfect but hitting SO many of the right notes. Clone Wars, Rebels. *chef’s kiss*
Overall, there were lots of great individual moments in this show and the second half was much better than the first, but as a whole it could’ve been better.
A Hayden cameo is always a joy. Love that he’s getting to do this.

yes, i do believe wei wuxian has suffered far more than jiang cheng by the end of the series. yes, i also think wei wuxian is far more well adjusted than jiang cheng at the end of the series. infact, let me go out on a limb and say that wei wuxian has THE most mental fortitude than anyone else in the series, and it’s one of the most impressive story-wide character traits that i’ve seen portrayed so deftly in fiction across all kinds of media.

Well I should probably go write my diary about it instead of posting on tumblr, but I’m beginning to think my chaotic sleep schedule, large stack of unwashed plates, daily unpunctuality, inability to shut up that worsens when I’m tired, and complete and utter obsession with my hobbies to the point of doing them late at night when I should be going to bed is maybe adding up to ADHD, and I hate that because now I’ve got to go see a doctor about it.
#… amongst other things#anyway yeah I sat up late in bed the other night convincing myself that maybe I had bipolar and I was going through a manic episode#and I really do not think that’s the case#but sometimes (often) I just feel like I’m about to vibrate out of my skin#obviously the above is not a comprehensive list#there’s also the impulsivity and the bouts of twitchiness#amongst other things#I don’t know I guess I thought that because I can sit down and read a book it couldn’t be me#maybe it still isn’t me#might go some way to explaining my trainwreck undergraduate beyond ‘depression’ though#also if you read all this: thank you and I’m ok#just a bit stressed right now

I just finished Veilguard, and...I'm really not sure how I feel about it?
All in all: good game, had fun, but still didn't quite hit some of the highs it wanted to hit and it's still not as good as DA2
(Spoilers galore below for everything)
The Good:
Pretty game is pretty;
Love the codexes, especially the ones written by companions or with their commentary;
Speaking of, the Mementos had so excellent tid bits of lore flavor to them, as well;
Regrets of the Dread Wolf was a damn good quest;
Some truly funny party banter;
I actually thought it was really easy to figure out who my Rook is as I played the game, which was much harder for me to do for my Lavellan in DAI;
And speaking of Lavellan, she was in character she WOULD say that she WOULD do that. Bless;
Everything about Nevarra and the Mourn Watch, I wish there was more content there because I was so into it;
Orb and dagger mage is really fun to play, which was VERY surprising considering I don't play close range ever;
I also really enjoyed destroying blight boils for some reason lmao;
Petting cats (they PURR WHEN YOU DO);
Assan <3;
Taash being so autistic;
Teia and Viago my beloveds;
✨Friendship✨
The Solavellan of it all;
And Solas, too. Love that sadsack disaster man;
Maybe this is super basic of me but I liked Varric's narration...idk it's comforting;
Honestly, just Varric in general was a bit safety blanket in a nice way for me because the game feels overwhelming at first;
There's no party like an all Dalish party!
Exploring -- loved finding all the fun details in each location, and I know I didn't even do enough in my playthrough;
I'm weak for stories about guilt, fear and regret. And I'm even weaker when those stories are so obviously about forgiveness and moving forward. Also love. Always love.
The Bad:
The pacing. I've said this before but DAtV could've used a more explicit arc structure or have quests note which level they're meant for or SOMETHING because some times it seemed I was doing quests too early or too late for when I was in the main story. I also thought events kept oscillating from happening too fast or too slowly, and it very much did get in the way of immersion;
The romance. Literally what are you doing Dragon Age that you fumble the romance. Granted, I only romanced Davrin so far, but I'm getting the sense from looking through the tag that maybe Lucanis' romance also feels a bit off? Honestly I have so many issues with the romance progression for Davrin that it's its own section;
I hope this is only a Veil Jumpers issue, but I thought Rook was so separate from the faction. I felt very little connection to them;
I've seen some people point out NPCs talk to Rook like they're a child, and while I don't really agree with that I do think Rook doesn't have enough opportunities to be knowledgeable in their own right. Especially annoying with a mage Veil Jumper Rook! I miss the Inquisition perk dialogue options that let my Lavellan be a smarty pants;
Holy overdesigned armors! Yikes!
Not all areas are as well developed as the others: Rivain is the most egregiously empty and underdeveloped, but I actually thought Arlathan Forest was super lifeless too. So was the Lighthouse! You get the early game discovery bit and then nothing ever again and it's like oh that was really it huh (and the stuff we did get was so good please more?);
I hate to say this but BioWare missed the mark with Rook's place in the group. The companions seemed connected to each other, yeah, but Rook was like some cross between group therapist and not-so-undercover boss. There was none of the warmth Hawke got from their companions (or the Inquisitor, for that matter!). The game really needed 1. a lighthearted party hangout cutscene and 2. companions coming together to take care of Rook (the fact this isn't even a thing in the romance is bonkers to me);
Taash's personal quest being about choosing between being Rivain and Qunari as if that's how culture works is Bad Actually;
The worst minimap I've ever seen in a game wow;
Also: give me back my beacon marker;
The gods were in a regret prison but what were their regrets exactly we just don't know.
The Bad (Romance Edition):
Again, the pacing! Incredibly slow to start (and not in a slow burn way, mind!) and then super fast in the last third of the game;
In fact, the romance seemed to be running on a completely different level than the rest of the story. The last romance scene was incredibly out of place tonally, especially.
The first two romance titles for Davrin are "Thrill of the Chase" and "Hot and Bothered"...and like WHERE????
Davrin never writes about Rook as a romantic partner or as if he has any concerns with the relationship...which we later find out he has, but was news to me;
Tbh, the romance felt like an afterthought. There were cutscenes that in any other DA game there would've been flirting options, for instance, but this time there was nothing (what do you mean Rook can't make a flirty comment when Davrin is shirtless working out with Taash? It's low hanging fruit!);
Not nearly enough flirty banter between Rook and Davrin, which is nuts considering their personalities;
I'm really super disappointed with Davrin's romance, which sucks because he's actually perfect for my Rook and I really like his character. There was so much potential for a really fun romance that was both tense and sexy, but also sweet. But no. Secret good Davrin romance that exists in my head save me.
The ???:
Southern Thedas got scorched when the North didn't how?
Please tell me who was catfishing Andraste;
Making enemies super aggro on Rook unless you specifically have companions taunting was very weird.
#dragon age the veilguard#datv spoilers#datv#dragon age#ok there were many thoughts#but they're bullet points it's fine#the lists are also not comprehensible or in any particular order#i think im closer to figuring out why the game isnt quite working for me though#there's just something fundamental missing that i havent been able to put my finger on just yet

#and tag spam ends here i promise lol#book tag#and what sort of number is that even - 9?🤨#half of my life as a reader is actually reading books and then the other half is constantly narrowing down my tbr🤦♀️#last year my list of books that i want to read in the foreseeable future was comprehensive and included 214 titles#i read at least half of them in 2024 and thought for sure next year it's gonna be much shorter than that#but i actually had to narrow down the 2025 updated list to be no more than 225 books!#my tbr is like the lernaean hydra - you read one book and three new ones pop up in its place#this top priority list was also hard to narrow down but looking at it now i'm satisfied😌#btw the hands of the emperor i'm already 25% into but i decided that i'm gonna finish it next summer bc it's a summer book

I've been thinking about Fight Club for the past few hours since watching it, and I think it's predominantly meant to be a criticism of capitalism and masculinity and their interplay.
Before meeting Tyler, the narrator was caught up in being a typical office worker. Being under this system put a lot of strain on him and was actively dehumanizing, to the point he joined a bunch of support groups he technically didn't correspond with, just so he could have his own feelings validated. It is a method of escapism for him.
A consequence of his lack of self-worth beyond materialistic goods and superficial relationships, he actively sought a new identity for himself. That's what Tyler is; a new identity and model of masculinity (this is also I think why Tyler was described as getting "plastic surgery every three years"; the image of masculinity is constantly changing with the culture).
Before, the narrator sought materialistic ventures like furniture as a means of defining himself, but when he realized it wasn't enough, his next venture was into manhood. It's a fixation of his even at the beginning of the film, when he continuously describes Bob's breasts as feminine, a consequence of his testicle removal and increased estrogen levels (this isn't something he would have made a point of if it wasn't unsettling to him in some way) and when he felt imposed on by Marla when she started attending the testicular removal support group
The narrator also declares that Marla isn't allowed to participate in Fight Club because it is for men ONLY. Femininity, whether it be Bob's body or Marla sharing similar struggles to him, is intimidating. So he reduces women to the source of his problems (citing Marla for this at the beginning of the movie) or to mere sex objects ("I fuck like how you want to fuck")
(Completely unrelated but my keyboard is irritating me because the s, z, x, and w key don't work unless if I press them at the same time as the space key. It is making writing and proofreading profoundly difficult...!)
However, masculinity as a concept operates on many of the same principles as capitalism, and that includes active dehumanization. When the narrator/Tyler create Fight Club, they state that men are more than just dancing, singing monkeys, but they later go back on this point by stating the exact opposite. They further separate the men in Fight Club from their humanity by removing their names, treating them just as their capitalistic systems once treated them. Even when members of the Club die, it's treated as a "sacrifice" for the greater good, just as someone who works themselves to death under capitalism will simply be regarded for boosting efficiency; it's about the work/contributions, not the human touch
At the end of the film, when the buildings exploded and the narrator removed Tyler from his mind, he freed himself from the primary systems that stripped him of his humanity-- capitalism and masculinity. It is only then that he is able to fully appreciate/acknowledge the company and struggles of Marla, a woman, and another human
#fight club#my posts#this isn't really comprehensive at all and this isn't extensively edited (for the listed reason in parentheses mostly)#just wanted to get my thoughts out there :P#it's a good movie!

Hiii welcome to The Thing I’ve Been Working On For Far Too Long !!!! This is an edited map of my WoF Headworld!! This map fallows my personal lore / story for what happens post-books! There are far more ideas I have regarding new structures, how the land changes, etc. , but this was just generally for labeling major locations within each territory! My hope was to wrap this up before the Felid Guide drops so I can compare my map to the canon reveal of locations but I didn’t quite get there and there are still a lot of loose ends. Unfortunately I don’t have much time to work on this anymore and will probably chip away at it privately in pieces , but for now I wanted to share this bit publicly!
The info for the labels on the map are all written out below, but I have primarily complied information in a Google Doc for easier viewing and navigation!
Link to the Google Doc !
Under construction !! Im so sorry I’m stuck on mobile and Tumblrs post editor on mobile is actual shit. the formatting is terrible I’m going bonkers in here. Also it’s stuck sideways for some reason like girl pleaseee turn the other way!!! I will rb this again once I’m able to format it properly.
#for full clarity this shit aint close to finished + I decided to make a map while I was tired as fuck so this map makes so little sense#why did I do a separate number list for every territory . whats up with that . also that ain’t what a key looks like. But its okay!!!!#we vibin!!!#admittedly I just really wanted to get this out before the Guidebook drops w/ updated maps#I wanna compare my names & loctains to theirs#I decided to give all the palaces their own names because I thought it would be cool#every name has a meaning behind it so feel free to uh . ask me if ya want <3#all the lore here is v well developed so please ask any questions you may have!!! i spent a very long time naming everything and this isnt e#even a comprehensive list of all my location names nor what I think the modern map would really look like#anyway . yeah :) !#map#tideart#theres art at the bottom of the doc so it counts I guess

the time of the changing seasons is very spiritually important to me. autumn and winter are especially important for spiritual experiences as they consist the death of the world before its rebirth in spring. animals, plants and parts of weather are all equally special during this time. activities i consider to be linked to spirituality during this time:
collecting/foraging for plants that become ready for use
eating and/or making treats, dishes, etc. out of persimmons, chestnuts, and other produce that becomes ripe
taking walks in nature of any length
hiking (safely)
letting the cold wind hit your skin in exposed areas (to be clear, i am not encouraging people not to dress for the weather. i believe a jab from the winter wind on an exposed hand or forehead to be nature's reminder that you are part of it)
taking deep breaths to remain calm when the wind picks up and it becomes really really cold for a moment
keeping yourself warm during sleep
spending time outdoors, long or short
#this list is not comprehensive but includes what i have thought of so far#pagan#eclectic pagan#paganism#independent pagan#nature#winter spirituality#nature based spirituality#it should be noted i dont consider any extreme versions of these to be necessary for spiritual experience#like u dont need to be out freezing#safety first always

You saying that fans can't protest about the representation we get or it will get taken away is really giving "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit" energy. Maybe I misinterpreted what you said but it sounded like you were implying that even though Straight people are allowed to complain when a ship doesn't meet their standards us queer folk should just feel lucky were getting any representation at all?
You know, I think you forgot either "willfully" or "deliberately" in your "Maybe I misinterpreted what you said".
I'm gonna be nice-ish and copy you the paragraphs I actually wrote in the post I think you're refering to. Look especially closely at the things I highlithed by formating them bolt and italic, please, as you've seemd to miss them the last time you read it:
We aren’t going to get more and better representation if we ignore the representation we’ve already got. Or even if we protest in the wrong way about the representation we get, like I’ve seen a lot over the past year in the 9-1-1 fandom in the hate for Tommy and LFJ. That kind of protest will only get the little and flawed representation we have taken away again. We fight for more representation, and for better representation, by celebrating what we get and fixing the harmful stereotypes we see. To name just two examples from 9-1-1: 1. Having fanwork and fandom discussion that actually deal with Hen and Karen struggling through the aftermath of Hen cheating on Karen. Or by writing what-if scenarios where that cheating never happened. 2. Having fanwork and fandom discussions that take apart the little biphobic comments in 8x06 and the following episodes that might have passed over as a stand-alone but are concerning as a whole. Concentrating on celebrating the representation we get and highlighting what we like about it just as much as talking about what we don’t like in a respectful way is how we will show anyone watching fandom that we appreciate the effort. Which will lead to them giving us more representation and also learning what kind of representation we would like to see.
I think that's really all there is to say about this.
#911 discourse#I thought at first about listing at least some of the “wrong protest” I hinted at in the first paragraph#but who isn't aware of those things while being part of this fandom is willfully blind anyway#and wouldn't read anything I put in words#anon already proved their stellar reading comprehension after all

having fun with document tabs is an important part of the writing process
#tin kitchen in the garret#just figured these things out recently. theyre more useful than i thought#aside from the fun emojis the main feature is it contains comments. like they only show in their own tab#and it might help with lag too? since it doesnt have to load all the other ones#not sure. havent used them on a document thats long enough to have lag issues#been working on my nemesis chapter 3#went thru ch5 and made a list of all the rules that need to be covered so that the gameplay is comprehensible#so now i just need to go through and fit them all in... sigh....#chapter 7 is still untitled because it threw off my naming scheme#it might still get merged back into chapter 6 depending on how long they end up#6 is short right now (they were originally one chapter) but if i put them back together it's way longer than any of the other chapters#also whaaaaat nooooooo i'm not teasing my fic with this post what are you talking about *twirls hair*#it's not going to be up for at least a few weeks still r.i.p

i really dont understand studying at all like genuinely i don't know what it is . i know about "taking notes" and "reading the textbook" and that's it . quizlet doesn't do shit for me because i don't know what to. do. with the cards. look at them ? am i supposed to just look at them . No one bothered teaching me actual skills bc i got good grades when i was 8 and now i am so hopelessly lost . why did no one think to teach me this for when stuff got harder than four plus three
#text#ive never understood flashcards . like what to do with them. how is that any more different or helpful than just like... writing a list on#paper of vocab terms or whatever#and like conceptually i know 'learning' is like. not only committing things to memory but also being able to engage with it which#is why teachers loveeeee group discussions and essays. but like. you read the text and then you go to class and Discuss but how do you#Learn what the text is saying like how do you . put it in your brain and udnerstand and remember it .#i think im missing something very simple because everyone else in the world seems to understand this fine#like where does the part where you go oh! i understand this and can explain it in my own words. Happen#how do u force it to happen if its not something ur autistic about#Like the only example i can think of rn of this is when i hyperfixated on hpa axis dysregulation + trauma a couple weeks ago#so i was learning stuff about it for Fun and not for school so no comprehension tests or notes or anything#and basically i'd just put on a webinar while i sorted seaglass or worked on sewing or whaever#and i can explain the concept fine. ur brain controls ur body so if it gets too scared ur body loses its shit basically.#but i dont remember most of the words. i still can barely define neurotransmitter#i can apply this to my own life but i confuse the hippocampus and the frontal lobe and the amygdala etc#and i couldnt point out any of them on a diagram#i dont get it . like i know a lot and simultaneously nothing at all abt it#how am i supposedto be remembering words and numbers AND understanding the concepts AND im supposed to do that between#reading the book and engaging in thoughtful conversation with my peers i dont understand

what kinds of friends have you made on this website?
Lots of them- little hard to narrow down a 'what kind' for them haha ^^;
Also I'm sure a few of them would be bothered being put in some narrow box of what kinda friend they are.
But I can name the friends!
Sprite, Saint, Zee, Kittsu, Blackthorn, a Silver (I think...? Hard to tell with Silvers), a Ethan, Gold (You know who ya are), another Ethan... . . . I feel like I am missing quite a few- ROSE!
Uhh- if anyone wants to come out of the wood work and call yourself my friend go ahead!- TOPAZ AND MARE!
#pokemon irl#pokeblogging#ask game#lyn chats#//Lynda typing with how her thoughts are going instead of making a actual comprehensible list ha!
