love Luigi Mangione looking like peak health with gnarly fucking back pain. it'll probably fly over so many people's heads but it's just great to see perfect examples of "looking healthy" don't mean Jack fucking shit especially in a shitty healthcare system.
because no one says it aloud but subconsciously everyone thinks you deserve bad health, that bad health is a punishment, that bad health is consequences that you brought upon yourself.

Hi darling<3, hope you are doing okay<3! I was wondering if i can get a one shot or headcanons (wichever is easier for you) where Homelanders fall in love genuinely for a Female s/o wich is so cute, sweet and kind and have angel powers, like the wings, she can put people to sleep if she sings and almost looks like an angel (perfect sking almost in a pale pink tone, and pink hair<3). And the team is very confused like "How in the hell you fall in love with someone?", but Homelanders is very happy and wants to be a good boyfriend :D
Sorry it took me a bit!!!! Here you go lovely!!!! ❤️
Homelander x fem! Angel!! Supe reader!!
~•~•~•~•~•~•~
It was such a surprise that Homelander could pull any bitches tbh.. (according to Maeve and A-train)
There was that one nazi chick but nobody even knows what happened to her? Didn’t she commit? Ehhh— nobody cares anyways.. especially not him.
You were the light of his life, his Angel on earth.
You both met during a Hero Galla being hosted in the tower. You weren't the biggest supe out there but you were a good friend of maeve's and what better time to have and reconnect then to get drunk at a hero gala? She was thrilled to see you again, as thrilled as Maeve can be anyways. You joined her at the bar, your wings stayed tucked on your back. They were huge so everytime you went to a public event you always ended up folding them into eachother as tightly as they possible could without them hurting. His words caught in his throat when he first saw you. And fun fact, he actually thought you were a painting when he first saw you. You were standing outside the bathroom, waiting for Maeve to stop throwing up after she ushered you outside, insisting that she was fine. You stood under a giant mural of a painting, one with angels on it unitentionally. It was very christain or something, with naked babies flying around in their white clothes wrapped around their bottoms and shooting arrows. Just something like that-- he dosent know, he didn't stare at the painting. This man had to do a double take. He glanced and was like-- "oh painting" and just as he was about to turn and walk away, Yanno do his job and charm the president for madam stillwell, The painting MOVED-- You simply turned to the side like a smidge and this man was on you when he found out you were REAL. You had the soft pink complexion with bright light undertones. You're hair was as if you were cupid. The color of love even in his eyes. Was it hearts? shingling in the reflection of his blue saucers? or was it your hair? he didn't know, he didn't give a fuck. But best believe, he was on you like white on rice. Homelander had never felt so bold before but there was something about your kind smile and words. Your voice was soft and quiet, he wasn't complaining, this gave him an excuse to step closer to you and invade your personal space so he could hear you over all the commotion in the room. He would grab your hand and introduce himself as THE homelander, Kissing your gentle soft knuckles. Did he mention you were soft? SOOOO soft. You blinked at him, "Oh..? are you important? iv'e never heard of you before?" And you really hadn't. you grew up on a small farm in Washington state allllllll the way over on the last state on the west side of the country. You didnt own a TV, you didn't even have a phone. that's why it took so long for you and make to reconnect. He was shocked, his pride was almost hurt a bit. Ofcourse he went into the fact that he's above everyone else because he was KINDA a big deal but it's fine. Cue to him obnoxiously shrugging and rolling his eyes with a wave of his hand, no biggie. But you were fascinated. He was so caught in your eyes, he didnt even realize the fact that you had wings until you turned around when you heard maeve's voice. Asking what the FUCK was Homelander doing. But it was no matter, because now it was your turn to sing for the gala! Little to your knowledge did Maeve make a public announcement that there was going to be a special preformance tonight from the one and only, "Seraphina" Your hero name. You were ushered to the stage pretty quickly by Maeve but untimatley she just wanted you away from Homelander as fast as possible. The song started pretty slowly. But that was your motive, the song was supposed to be a slow almost-lulliby theme. And if this man wasn't Inlove with you from the start, he definitely was now. There was something about your voice. something so calmly and soothing. Visable, his muscle sunk to the ground. He felt so relaxed under your tone.
It wasn’t until you had stopped singing abruptly and the crowd began to murmur was when he opened back up his eyes to see that your backup violinist had fallen to the ground in a deep slumber and you went rushing to his side.
Homelander’s eye twitched. Causing him to swiftly approach the stage in a not so calm like manner and step into it causing the crowd to cheer.
“Come on, sweetness. He’s fine.” Homelander smiled his signature smile. When you turned around, Homelander landed a swift kick to the man’s groin causing the man to choke out.
“See?” He turned to you, almost searching for approval. “He’s fine, sing. Please.”
He demanded.
And nervously.. you did.
——-
The rest of the night was history. Homelander remained attempting to chat you up until you finally told him that yes, you’d go on a date with him. He was ecstatic, but yet fearful.
He saw the way Maeve looked at you. Not in a romantic way but In a warning way. He knew Maeve was gonna try and say something to you about him, and destroy your relationship with him.
He threatened her that night and actually had her locked up on level 12.
————
When you guys did start dating, it was great. Homelander had convinced you that he was the perfect gentleman for you. That you guys belonged to eachother.
And for a while you thought that you guys did. Sure he was a little possessive but you never once doubted that he didn’t loved you because you knew he did.
He would follow you around and help you clean the house. He would insist on trying for children and on those lonely nights he’d hold you like no other.
And the sex was great. It really was.
But remember that guy from Walmart that said he knew you? And you both ended up grabbing a coffee after finding out you guys were really close in high school?
No? Because Homelander can’t either. That guy never existed apparently.. according to John.
Everything was fine.. that’s what you told yourself. You lived in a lavished home, nothing like the small farm from Washington. And you were taken care of.. set for life.
Until a smaller woman would approach you and ask for your help in rescuing Maeve. Her name was starlight and she apparently was a member of the 7. You glanced around, and told her to keep her voice down before ushering her into the bathroom and demanding that she’d explain.
What was going on? What couldn’t you find Maeve? She had been missing ever since you and Homelander had began dating.
John insisted that it was nothing and that Maeve had went to rehab? So what was going on.
You ended up telling John about your strange encounter with said straight and endorsed that she was strange.
You’ll never forget the look in his eyes from across the dinner table, like something had snapped in them. His blue eyes now felt cold as he stopped chewing his food with a nervous tensed laugh.
For the first time, you felt scared.
Maybe that little blonde girl was right.

All I Ever Wanted, All I Ever Needed Pt. 3 finale
Warnings: siblingxsibling implications, Homelander being such a narcissist that he falls in "love" with his own sibling, Homelander being a stalker, innocent reader, naive reader, Homelander being a basic menace, some uncomfortable parts, dubcon, secrets, manipulation, grooming (feel like that's what Homelander is doing), age gap, power imbalance, series finale, definite angst, no real comfort 😅
Words: 3609
Summary: Your world comes crashing down all around you.
Part 1 Part 2
Starlight recoils when she reads the headlines a few days after she paid a visit to the Boys.
She doesn't want to read the rest of the article, but her thumb resists the signals her brain is desperately throwing at it. A picture dated three days ago had her sagging to the mattress of her hotel room.
You were decked in the obnoxious Vought produced supe outfit. While not being an exact copy of Homelander's, it still bore his signature colors in some way. You're standing proudly next to Homelander who has a possessive hand hovering near your waist.
There's a loss she feels that she can't quite place. Starlight felt like she failed to protect you in some way. She should have told you soon after her discovery, but Stillwell held other plans for her. Transferred to another district to collaborate with a fellow supe that was under Vought contract.
Immediately Starlight wonders if being sent away at that moment was on purpose. There was too much for it to be a mere coincidence.
Which only meant that Ashley and possibly Stillwell were aware of the truth behind you and Homelander.
This really did go all the way to the top.
How on earth was she going to help you now? You were getting too entangled with not just Homelander, but Vought as well. The closer you got to Homelander, the tighter Vought's grip was on you. And that meant the more difficult it would be to get you out. You were being groomed, that much was certain to Starlight as she tries to formulate a new plan.
All she could think of now was her actions harming you. Now that you were in love with Homelander, you might resist the truth.
On cue, a ring rips through her anxious self musings. Hughie to save the day.
"This whole situation is fucked, Hughie." Starlight spits out the second she answers.
"I know." Hughie hurriedly acknowledges. "Do you think Homelander is aware that. . . t-that's his sister?"
That's another pointed question that Annie was stumped on. She couldn't offer him an answer. Positive of one thing though, Annie grabs her belongings while pressing her phone to her ear with the help of her shoulder. There was no use in just sitting there and wondering.
She'd get the answers herself. Returning to Vought Tower immediately was her one good option.
Hughie reminds her to be careful, that Homelander was volatile and most likely wouldn't hesitating in bashing her head in.
From the outside of the sky piercing building, everything appeared to be business as usual. Even on the first floor nothing felt off to Starlight. She was greeted with friendly 'hellos' by employees left to right.
Once the elevator dings and stops at Floor 99, Starlight nearly leapt out of the lift the moment the doors parted. In her haste she accidentally bumps into Maeve.
"Whoa, slow down there." Maeve eyes her up and down with suspicion.
"Is it true that Homelander and (y/n) are dating now?" Starlight quietly hisses, trying to pull the one other female supe aside to a more secluded corridor.
"Starlight I know its weird but (y/n) is an adult and-"
Inwardly Starlight's skin crawls at the idea that Maeve was okay with the obvious power imbalance between Homelander and his new unfortunate paramour. For a hot second, she debates whether or not to tell Maeve the truth. Would she believe her though?
It would be an outlandish claim to make against the leader of the Seven. And you. . . You would face so much backlash and hate. God, Starlight hopes that the two of you haven't slept together yet.
Rudely leaving Maeve to ponder what was going on, Starlight storms to find the one person who most likely already knows the truth.
"Ashley!"
There's a momentary freeze in her walk, back turned to Starlight. When Ashley realizes who it is, she releases of sigh of relief. "Oh. Starlight. Welcome back."
"I need a moment with you in your office."
"Unfortunately I have an important meeting to attend right now. Call my assistant-"
"Goddamnit Ashley." She was losing her patience. Starlight's much stronger hand abruptly lashes out to grab hold of Ashley's arm.
Ashley knows better to play around with the temper of supes. Her face drains as she tries to retain an ounce of courage to nod her head and follow Starlight back to the security of her office.
But when Starlight finally voices the accusation, something awful happens to Ashley's expression. Pure fear.
"Just leave it Starlight!" Ashley snapped, attempting to rise up to a taller height.
"You know?" Starlight's eyes are round. "How long have you known?"
Biting the bottom of her lip, a hand raises shakingly to the tips of her red hair in an anxious manner. Like she wanted to tug a lock free from her scalp. Her eyes become glassy with tears that she refused to spill in front of Starlight.
"From the beginning. . ." Ashley's voice comes out as if she's about to cry. "Mr. Edgar told me to keep my head down and my mouth shut if I wanted to keep my job. And keep my life. . ."
"Who else knows?"
The newly christened VOUGHT CEO shakes her head. "No one else. But documents do exist. . ."
"Homelander's lying to her! She doesn't know that. . . Oh god, she doesn't know that he's her blood brother!" Impossible to keep her voice down when she was so outraged. Starlight wasn't sure if Homelander was in the Tower at the moment. It was dangerous to be too loud.
"I-It's absolutely wrong. I know, but Starlight- I'm so fucking terrified of what Homelander would do to me if I tried to take her away. I'm sorry Annie. I can't. I can't get between him and something he really wants."
Pursing her lips, Annie nods but doesn't blame Ashley. "I get it."
Starlight will just have to do it herself then.
You'd been floating on cloud nine after Homelander kissed you. What really shocked you was Homelander immediately asking you on a date after the kiss. Like he was too impatient to wait any longer to ask you out. Never thinking that America's number one supe would be interested in you in that way. As a kid he was your childhood crush. The perfect man. Strong, handsome, charming, no one else could compare to the perfection of Homelander.
While you were nervous for the first date, being with him actually soothed you. He treated you like a princess. His princess. And since that day, it really has felt like one of those fantasy romance novels you enjoyed reading.
He proudly showed you off on his arm whenever someone asked for a picture. Some of his fans were excited to see you join the Seven one day and make your supe debut next to your boyfriend. You knew they were only flattering you because Homelander gazed at you with such adoration.
"Once they get to know you, they'll love you." Homelander flashed you that smile that had your tummy bubbling like jacuzzi jets. "My love will have to be enough for now."
That caught you off guard. Love. "Your love?"
Homelander leaned in, lips hovering over your's. "Yes."
You got to experience him the way no one else has had the pleasure to witness.
With you, Homelander was utterly soft and affectionate. Watching tv you'd have his head in your lap, running your fingers through his blonde hair. You swore you heard him purr a few times. Homelander (he insisted you call him 'John' when the two of you were alone) would nuzzle his face into your thighs with the happiest grin on his face. Like he'd never experienced such bliss before.
He was the modern day equivalent to all mighty Zeus. A god. Yet he was acting similar to a cat who rubs their cheek possessively against you.
This man could easily laser your face off in a millisecond. Homelander never showed any aggression toward you. Not one harsh grip unless it was in passion.
You don't dwell on the face heating thought that was started to tug at your tummy.
"Starlight! Welcome back!" You smile ear to ear once you spot a familiar blonde head.
She spins on her heels and there's an expression of relief when she realizes its you who called out her name.
As she rushes up to you, you ask her "Did you just get back?"
Directly in front of you, Starlight's dark eyes seem to scan you. For what, you don't know.
When she doesn't say anything, you repeat her name and she comes back to herself. Blinking thick lashes once before shaking her head. "Sorry. Still jetlagged. Yeah. I just got back about half an hour ago."
"You're probably exhausted then." You smile and grip her arm with affection. "I'm glad you're back! I've been missing you as a sparring partner."
Even as you spoke, there was a loud ringing in your ears from the erratic thumping of Starlight's heartbeat. She was scared of something.
"Not one bit. It's good to be back. Reinvigorates me. Hey, are you busy right now? I was really craving some coffee from this really good cafe. Wanna tag along?"
The skip of her heart sounds like a plead for you to say yes. You try to keep your face worry free. "Yes! I would love to."
Did something happen on her assignment?
The walk took you several streets over, far from the Tower. During that time, she talked about where she'd been sent, what the operation was. You in turn told her about your accomplishments with your powers and training. Leaving the news about Homelander for last.
Tempering the excitement in your voice, you eye Starlight for a response. There was an unexplainable kinship you felt with her. She was the big sister you never had. Maeve was inspirational enough, but someone you felt like you would never be able to get close to.
"And how's it been? The relationship?" She tentatively asks. "Has he been treating you right?"
Enthusiastically you nod. "He has! I was worried at first, because of the age gap and, ya'know, he's THE Homelander. But. . . he's been so sweet and caring. I've never had a boyfriend before so maybe I'm being too hopeful about it."
At the cafe and with your orders in front of you, you recline into the leather chair. Neither of you being in supe uniform, no one bats an eye in your direction. “Are you okay Annie?”
“Me?”
You nod. “When I saw you… well, you sounded off. A little distressed.”
Annie tries to think of lies to tell you. Looking at your large, hopeful eyes killed her. She rolls her words around her mouth before spitting them out. "I guess I am a little distressed. About you and Homelander."
Waiting to see if you'd disregard her, Starlight attempts to continue but is caught off by a gruff voice "You finally tellin' the poor girl what kind of monster Homelander is?"
You're more so shocked at Starlight hissing 'Fuck' than the lumbering man behind you. Eyes, hair, clothes, even the aura smudged around him was pitch black. It made the hairs on the back of your neck stand.
"Annie?" You look to her.
She's glaring at this dark interloper. "Get out of here."
He ignores her, and grabs a chair from a nearby abandoned table to join the two of you. The cafe was buzzing with noise allowing some coverage for personal discussions.
Chair positioned closer to you, his eyes drill into you with scrutiny. You'd never felt such resentment in a gaze. "Aren't you a naive little girl."
"Stop it, Butcher. I was just about to explain to her-"
"Annie, it's okay. Lower your voice." You don't know how you keep calm when deep down you're scared of what was going on. That was one thing you really learned from Maeve: act calm under pressure.
Annie takes in a slow breath. "I did mean to tell you sooner. . . It's just been hard for me to. . . you know, figure out how I was going to tell you." Her eyes are glossy. She leans in, so close her cheek brushes against your's as she whispers into your ear. . .
Butcher watches the slow widening of your eyes in sick satisfaction. How your face blanched of any color, robbed of any other expression besides one of revulsion.
You'd barely made it into the restroom stall before your throat was lined with the acidity of your vomit.
She wouldn't lie to you.
Why would Annie lie to you about this?
You didn't want to believe though. To do so would rip you apart. Homelander was-
Gagging, you hunch over the porcelain rim. Ears clogged, you're surprised that you catch the sound of the restroom door opening. Starlight's tentative voice calls out to you. She stands right outside the stall you occupied.
The last thing you wanted to do was show your face ever again, to anyone. "Who else knows?" Your throat hurts when you speak. Choking back a new wave of tears, you repeat your question when she didn't answer after a few seconds.
"I think it's best if you come with me. . ."
You did. After cleaning your face up, you let Starlight walk you out and back to the man called Butcher who patiently waited. From there he led you and Starlight through a dizzying array of side streets and dark alleys. No words were exchanged. Once safely inside a dingy apartment you were met by several others. The Boys, Starlight called them.
While Butcher may have been a complete bastard, the others appeared to possess more empathy toward you. They answered all of your questions to the best of their abilities.
Very few knew of your real relationship with Homelander. High up Vought executives (including Ashley). None of the Seven knew. Except. . .
"He knew. This entire time he knew." Hearing you whisper that broke Starlight's heart. She shares a look with Hughie to see his own sad shimmer in his eyes. "Why then- I don't understand. Why then did he-" Something in your stomach turns. You just can't say it out loud.
"Because he's fucked up." MM softly tells you.
For a moment you worriedly chew on your bottom lip mercilessly. "I can't go back." You'd never be able to look at him again. All the wonderful things you thought had happened to you since arriving at the tower were all based on sick lies and deception. Those who knew the truth must have thought of you as a stupid, naive child. Sheltered the entirety of her life before being thrown to the lions.
Annie gathers your hands in her's. "You don't have to. You don't have to step foot in there ever again."
"Unfortunately I don't think that's up to her." Butcher interjects. "The moment Homelander finds out she's not at Vought Towers, he'll be after her scent. You think he's going to be willing to let you go that easy?"
Hughie sighs, wishing his friend had more bed side manners. The truth of Butcher's words terrified you.
Homelander wasn't someone who you could hide from easily. Your powers, while being near identical to his, were no where near as honed. Telekinetic ability was the major one that you had over Homelander. Would that be enough to stop him?
Butcher's resentment toward supes, holding majority sway in his mindset, regards you with a crumb of respect. You didn't cry in front of him or any of the others present. Sclera of your eyes were red and held a mirror-like shine, but not one tear.
You were created for the sole purpose of one day going up against Homelander in a fight. The proof was the ink on the paper. Why you were raised so different from him.
And why you realize you have to go back to Vought Tower if not to publicly stand your ground and and separate an ties you had to both Vought and Homelander.
Your eyes were wide open now.
The upper levels of Vought were suffering from a Homelander melt down. Ashley found herself cowering under her desk the second she was able to whimper out that you were gone. He exploded in a flurry of rage when he came back from searching for you and he couldn't spot you anywhere.
He's screaming at Analytics, terrifying the poor workers to scan their screens faster. In and out of Vought Towers, many civilians from below only hear the zooming sound that he produces when he shoots across the sky. Making laps around the city to no avail.
"GOD DAMNIT ASHLEY!! You better have some good fucking news-" His eyes widen, body freezing.
You stood in the mess of ruined furniture that Homelander destroyed in his rage. Homelander breathes out your name, a delirious smile relaxing his face. "You worried me! I didn't know where you were! Wh-Where were you actually?" Catching his attention are the bags at your feet.
Fuck.
He can't breathe.
"I know everything." Grief and disgust hollow out your insides to where you felt a controllable numbness. It helped take the edge off for the moment.
"What're you talking about?" His smile remains, but there's definitely something cold about it.
This was the side of him that the Boys warned you about. "Stop. You know what I'm talking about. At least give me that bit of respect, Homelander. Or should I refer to you as brother?"
Reek of fear emanates from him. That revealed plenty.
"You don't understand-" Making the mistake of trying to get closer to you, you shoot him red eyes searing with the threat of lasers. Its enough to make him think again.
"Were you ever going to tell me? O-Or were you going to lie to me for the rest of my life?
"I never lied to you!" Homelander flinches at the volume of his own voice. Heavily breathing, he finds himself clenching and unclenching his hands.
Anger burns the backs of your eyes quite literally. "You told me that you loved me! You don't lie to people you love." You grind out.
"I do love you! Believe ME!" He craved to find out who told you. "Just let me talk! I only want what's best for you. Always! I LOVE you!"
Those three words that previously had your heart doing flips now makes you recoil. "Don't. Don't say that anymore. We're related!!"
"I know we are! Which means that any potential child we have will be the ultimate example of how supes can transcend their mortal skin to that of a god!"
You stare at him in naked disbelief. The red flags seemed so obvious now. Using the psionic aspect of your powers, your bags lift from the ground. Chest shuddering when you breathe out "I'm getting the fuck out of here. We're done."
"Now hold on!" Attempting to invade your space and perhaps push you in a corner, your control over your bags drops and instead it picks up several broken leg chairs with sharp ends all primed toward Homelander. His eyes glow at your disobedience.
No one breathes.
Slowly backing up to the broken window that allowed you access, you keep your gaze on him as you disarm and mentally reach for your bags.
"Don't come after me. Or I'll kill you."
With that you fall backward out the window and take to the sky.
Was this what it was like to experience a heart attack? The ringing in his ears wasn't letting up, banging at the walls of his skull.
Homelander lets out a wild howl that follows you all the way back to the hideout of the Boys. It shook the windows of the entire street block, even managed to break a few too. Glass showers down on unsuspecting people who scream and cower for coverage.
He'd find out who told you and rip their spine out through their asshole.
For years he's waited for and wanted a family. Something to officially put his stamp on and claim as his legacy. You weren't going to ruin that for him. You just didn't understand yet. Perhaps the intensity of his love for you must have scared you. That had to be it.
He runs his gloved hand over his face, hating how it trembled. He may not be able to find you now, but it was inevitable that he'd see you again. Homelander would make sure of that.
Then he'll chain you to himself if he has to and force you to be happy.
You'd understand.
Soon.
You surprise the Boys, standing at their front door. Determination and a burning in your gaze that intrigued Butcher. Panting as you flew as fast as you could to put distance between you and Vought Towers. Bags dropping to your feet as you lean against the frame of the door. "How can I help take down that sick fuck?"
Butcher smirks "You realize this won't be easy lovey."
"I'm well aware." You curtly reply, tiring of his games. "If Vought kept this secret nice and tucked away, how many more secrets do they have in their possessions? To bring Vought to the ground, you need to use their own weapon against them. Who better than Homelander's very blood?"
"Well well, look who grew up in a matter of hours." There's encouragement in his deranged smile. "Scorched earth?"
You nod. "Scorched earth."
Open ended ending :p don't ya just love them? I might make kinda like an epilogue type thing later but as of now this mini-story is finished :)

Hello, I'm new here and I'm obsessed with your fics, I don't know if a request is possible.
The reader had to leave for the weekend (either for some work or family commitment), and HL, already accustomed to the reader's presence, desperately searched for a way to fill the void and couldn't find it. and when the reader finally returns they spend hours hugging and scratching their heads.
I hope it's not too much :(
Ahhhh, I love this!! Homelander is emotionally a child, he cannot handle when things are out of his control. If the reader left for a couple days and he couldn't stop it, my man would be a mess. He plays it off at first, trying to reassure them that he'll be fine. He can handle it. But once the realization sets in that he's all alone... he just becomes so desperate for that comfort that's now disappeared. He's doing shit like clinging to their pillow just for their faint scent. He's basically a dog with no concept of time, if the reader is gone for an hour it feels like two weeks of abandonment. And as soon as the reader finally returns, he's standoffish and ignoring them because he's mad they left in the first place. But he crumbles in a minute flat, pulling them into a bear hug and sobbing because he missed them so much. They'd probably have to schedule the next day off for them and Homie because he needs to recoup the snuggle time lost.
Currently I am in the middle of another fic, which hopefully I will have done in a couple days (hopefully lol). But I adore this idea, so this is next on the list! Be warned I am a slow-ass writer, it might take me a bit. So here's a doodle for you in the mean time. Thank you for the suggestion, and I greatly appreciate that you like my fics. ❤️

I saw someone say they don't believe the whole assassination thing was organic. They believe it was a planned anti-hero type stunt and I can totally understand thinking that with how the imperialism/capitalism/government is. They've manufactured hits and narratives before. Hello FBI. Hi CIA.
However...
They said one of the reasons why they didn't believe it is that the CEO was replaced immediately and the meeting kept going on without him as if nothing happened. They went on with their PowerPoints as one of their own lay dead in the street.
Like I'm sorry but that's the MOST believable, realistic part of the story.
They do just hire your replacement after you straight up die. Even a CEO. They don't care. That is the banal evil of capitalism. Something tragic happens but the system just keeps on chugging. Why? Because it has to. Period. It justifies itself.
It keeps you going, because you have to keep going, you can't just stop, you silly billy, business needs to business.
It coerces you into going through the motions even though, logically, we should be stopping and thinking. It's like getting lobotomized. This is why disruptive protests are so important. Protests that block the street, strikes, or things that block certain services are not "the way that they are" for the vague notion of being a nuisance to be paid attention to. The point is to also undermine capitalism's ability to make us "keep on going" no matter what bad thing happens or how many it makes suffer. You are letting it know that it's not more important than human life and dignity.
So, I think it's poetic and telling that a whole CEO still can't stop the machine from going, that even HE is just a body they gotta step over. That no matter how important you are to acquiring capital...
You are a pawn.
Even if you have a fuck ton of money.

Don’t know if you’re taking requests at the minute but I LOVED your Yandere!Homelander HC’s and was thinking what about yandere!homelander but with a supe (fem possibly but don’t mind gn) reader who is equally manipulative back?? Like they’re the evil king and queen. Would be cool if she could have powers like Wanda from Marvel but you can choose! ❤️❤️
OFCOURSE BABES!!! I LOVE THIS IDEA!!<3333
----
In all, I feel like he'd be conflicted.
He wants to in control of you always. this man wants control over everything you do and ofcourse, it's simply because he wants to keep you safe-- silly little thing.
So when he finds himself wanting to succumb to your caring words and feels nothing but at ease to your prescence.. he's happy! but one thing we cannot bypass is how paranoid this poor boy is.
He's checking the corners.
Homelander wants to know where you are at all times like a lost puppy with it's owner. It never fails to make you feel a sense of warmth when he's standing over you with this warm little Himbo look in his eyes as he stared at you like you're the prettist woman he's ever seen in his life.
You are.
Though, this is all Pre-finding out.
When he begins to pick up on your words, he's frustrated and conflicted all over again.
He had to find out from A-train-- you know how embarrassing that is? he had to find out from that fuck fucking sonuvabitch--
He's angry! that he was so stupid!
He knew he was too trusting but he took a chance this time and thought he could trust it.
Homelander though you loved him--? so-- why?
He confronts you about it. and you automatically knew something was up when he wasn't texting you non-stop and following you around.
Honestly, if you're bold enough, you probably could've got to him before he got to you and YOU could've confronted him.
You love him, you do. It's a sick twsited kind of love and you know you care about him deeply but it's the Homelander.. for crying out loud.
You just want to baby him, that's it. Poor man flies around and saves everyone but who;s there to save him? at the end of the day?
Homelander ends up confronting you. He pulls you into the meeting room, staring out the window with him arms crossed behind his back with it too you.
Bro looks like he's about to take a knee for the national anthem at any moment. He's so patriotic--
"Ah.. Y/n, if it isn't the fuckin' witch." he scoffs with a sarcastic smile. He's trying to intimadate you, Trying to shove down any other feelings he has because everyone knows they are OVEFLOWING with love and respect.. that's all he has for you.
He's just confused, he just needs you guidance all over again so you give it to him. You'll talk to him slowly and subtly touch his hand or his face. Looking at him with those bit saucers of yours.
You're pretending.. duh. ofcourse but he dosent know that and he dosent have too because at the end of the day-- all of this. is. for. him.
Realistically, I don't think he'd ever find out that you're manipulating him after that reasurrance. But if he did and he was somehow ok with it. Yes,
Evil--mothafucking--queen and king. He'd be completely ok with you taking the lead.. behind close doors.
He is the leader, that WILL not change.

All I Ever Wanted, All I Ever Needed Pt. 2
Warnings: siblingxsibling implications, Homelander being such a narcissist that he falls in "love" with his own sibling, Homelander being a stalker, innocent reader, naive reader, Homelander being a basic menace, some uncomfortable parts, dubcon, secrets, manipulation, grooming (feel like that's what Homelander is doing), age gap, power imbalance, there will be one more part after this then i think i'm gonna wrap up this little story
Words: 3472
Summary: Starlight unravels the secrets which Homelander and Vought so desperately wanted to keep in the dark.
Part 1 Part 3
Annie was still reeling from the events of yesterday. She'd barely stepped foot into her apartment before a Vought assistant was scrambling to reach her. They inform Annie about the dinner being held that night to introduce a Seven-Trainee. This only further raised the hairs of alarm on the back of her neck.
Worst of all was that you nor anyone else saw a problem with this. Maeve wore her mask well and kept her thoughts to herself though their conversation was till fresh. Maeve really wanted to ignore how odd it was.
Maeve rose her glass with everyone else, a smile plastered across her face. And you, you were beyond happy; unaware of the wolf that paraded beside you. Annie could barely stomach her meal, forcing down bits of lamb but the richness of it soured immediately on her tongue.
Thankfully once everyone seemed to finish, the group parted ways with you and Homelander walking away together side by side.
That night was hard to sleep, even after calling Hughie and telling him all about it. He'd said that him and the Boys would look into it. See what they could find on you. That did help enough to lull Annie to sleep.
Reality was there in the Seven's conference room though, cheerfully beaming up at Annie.
"Good morning Starlight!" You chirp, the mug in your hand is put down forgotten by her entrance. Homelander is taking slow sips of his coffee, watching their interaction like a hawk. Annie didn't have to look at him to know that. She could feel the drilling of his piercing blue eyes. The eyes of a sociopath.
She puts on her best face, similar to the ones she wore when meeting fans. "How was your first night in the Tower?"
"It was great!" Really, it had been a great night. Probably the best one in your life. After the delicious dinner Homelander took you out around the city, giving you an aerial tour. Then he got ice cream for the two of you to enjoy back on Vought Tower's roof. You listened to the urban music it made at night. Honking of cars, sizzling of food, the chatter of people; the city was so alive. Your nights at home were spent quietly.
The warmth that Homelander made you feel took you by surprise. From the moment he showed up at your house, you felt an immediate connection. Like the two of you meeting was fated, written in the stars. In a short amount of time, Homelander had embedded himself in you. Last night all you could think about was spending the next day with him and the rest of the Seven. He gave you comfort in a way your parents never did. They loved you sure but they never really understood you. They were fearful when you started flying. You didn't even want to remember the conniption your father had when you'd accidentally fried an expensive painting with your lasers. To them your powers were somewhat of a burden, not something to revel in.
Yesterday you'd used your powers more than you have in your entire life. Homelander encouraged you.
A bit of a cliche, you already felt yourself really falling in love with him. You'd already been fairly attracted to him to begin with. When you saw him on tv, he was your ideal of the perfect man. Well spoken, handsome, chivalrous- everything you thought your future partner would be. He ticked off all of those boxes.
Chances though that he reciprocated such feelings so soon was low. He must see you as still a child. The age difference didn't help either.
"She'll be shadowing me today." Homelander tells Starlight as she stops by the breakfast buffet that was set up for the Seven. Her hand lingers on the cup of coffee she'd poured herself. "Just to get an idea of what we do on a daily basis."
She raises her brows. "You're taking her out on the field so soon?"
It's obvious that Homelander doesn't like Starlight questioning his choices when it comes to you.
You cheerfully nod. You memorized the schedule Homelander had given to you a few moments before Starlight had entered the conference room. Holding out the sheet of paper to her, she takes it and looks it over.
Starlight doesn't remove her eyes from the paper. "Don't you think she'd benefit from shadowing myself or Maeve one of these days? It looks like she's mainly going to be with you and Black Noir."
He keeps his tight lipped smile. "I'm giving her the basics. Once she's advancing to my satisfaction she can work with you and Queen Maeve. For now I want to be hands on with her training. After all, anyone would kill to be taught by America's number one hero." Homelander's smile that he gives you sends your tummy in a flurry.
Taking everything in you to maintain a professional appearance, you hide your blush by taking a sip of your coffee. You didn't want Starlight to see you obviously simping for him. That would be embarrassing. You wanted to be taken seriously during your time here. This was a once in a life time opportunity that you didn't want to squander. You planned on absorbing everything you learn during your time with the Seven. Maybe one day. . . you'd be able to join their ranks. Wasn't that every little supe's dream?
Starlight was actually happy to see Black Noir and Maeve walk in, A-Train trailing behind them; his eyes glued to his phone.
You straighten in your seat, showing them that you understood the great privilege it was to be there with them. Your heart raced being around so many big names.
You listen attentively as the Seven get down to morning business.
The next few days are spent integrating yourself into the lifestyle and schedule of the Seven. Homelander took control of your training in the beginning, but he had other priorities that pulled him away from you. Much to both of your chagrin. He handed you off to Maeve during his busy hours. Unlike Homelander, Maeve isn't quite as warm. She's a tough teacher. Even when you walk around with her in public she keeps everything professional. She holds herself perfectly which you catch yourself trying to replicate. Maeve had you learning the different districts of New York. Important to understand the diversity in each and the crime statistics that reflected upon it.
"You need to know the streets like the back of your hand. Especially when criminals try to run. They'll do whatever it takes to shake you from their trail." Maeve explains. "Since you can fly, it'll be especially important for you to memorize an aerial map too."
You diligently studied any and all maps you could get ahold of. Even went as far as spreading all of them out around your apartment.
Problems came at the prospect of Maeve sparring with you. With someone like Maeve it was necessary to take care to not use the full capacity of your powers on her. She wasn't completely indestructible, unlike you and Homelander. Physical training would have to wait until Homelander's schedule freed up.
He texts you as you wait for him in Vought's state of the art gym. The both of you make plans after training to hang out.
Finding yourself internally swooning, you shake your head free of any thoughts of that ilk. You wanted to remain professional. He's just being friendly and must know that you might be missing your family.
And it was weird that you hadn't received any calls or texts from either your mom or your dad. When you'd attempted to contact them yourself they never answer. Your messages go unreturned.
You'd thought about paying an actual visit with this concerning behavior. They'd gone from helicopter parents to ghost quiet. Your schedule was just so busy. Maybe you'd take the time to ask Homelander if you could take time off to go.
When Starlight shows up, gym bag hanging off of her shoulder, she's pleasantly surprised to find you alone in the locker room. "Hey! I feel like I haven't seen you in a while."
She was still in her supe outfit but lacked her long lashes that she wore to public events and patrol. Still she was so pretty.
"I've been shadowing Queen Maeve during the day. And then training in the afternoons whenever Homelander's available. I tried sparring with Queen Maeve, but even when I tried not to punch so hard. . ." You rub your knuckles. Even when you held back you still sent Queen Maeve a couple of feet away before she steadies herself to get back up. Really, it was you who insisted to train with Homelander after that. You knew nothing you did would seriously hurt him.
Pressing her lips together, Starlight suggests "You know, I may not look it,, but I'm pretty tough." She offers you a tentative smile. "If you want to try sparring with me? I don't have much to do today."
"Really?"
"Sure! You're supposed to be learning from all of us, right?"
You enthusiastically nod and close your locker door before you hop to your feet. "Okay! Guess I should get a warm up in before Homelander gets here."
Both of you laugh as you exit the lockers side by side. It was odd when you remember that Starlight is only a year or two older than you. She carries herself with such confidence. Each stride she takes is strong. Every block she makes, calculated. She'd only been in the Seven for little more than a year and she fit in so easily.
As much as you idolized Homelander, you loved Starlight. Even after Vought decided to change her supe uniform to something more scandalous. From the first photoshoots she'd done in her new outfit, there was a look of contempt that shadowed her eyes. Clear that this change wasn't her decision. Whatever Vought was trying to make her out to be, Starlight would remain herself. She was still the bad ass girl that gave you hope that you could one day join the Seven officially.
Starlight proved to be a competent sparring partner. Dodging any of your offensive attacks. You had to move quick around her. She was fast, even impressing you.
Neither of you noticed when Homelander strolls into the gym where supes honed their skills. You don't see the twitching of his jaw or the haughty way he folds his arms in front of his expansive chest. His eyes are particularly glued to Starlight, the interloper. It was one thing letting you follow and learn from Maeve. Homelander didn't trust Starlight one bit. He'd always felt something off about her. She just felt fake to him. And he didn't like how her expression had become hostile when he introduced you. Like he was doing something wrong by bringing you to the Tower. He wonders if she knew the truth about you.
A trickle of sweat was rolling down the side of your face when you finally turn to where Homelander was standing. "Oh! Hey Homelander!" You use the front of your tank top to wipe your face.
He forces his iciness to melt just enough so that he could return your bright smile while still shooting Starlight eyes that could only mean 'watch yourself'. "I thought you didn't feel comfortable physically training with anyone but me?" Homelander puts on a tone of faux hurt.
"Starlight assured me that she's sturdier than she looks. And she was right! Plus she's fast and I hardly landed any serious blows to her." Confidence made your smile widen and Homelander felt that familiar clenching in his chest. How precious and perfect you were to him. Starlight threatened that. She could be a bad influence on you. He could already see you dressing in a skimpy outfit like Starlight wore. And while he wouldn't mind seeing that, he would mind everyone else's penetrating gaze. That was something he couldn't risk.
"You almost got me a few times." She chuckles in return, already feeling the both of you were becoming actual friends.
"Well," Homelander inserts himself between you two "thank you for warming her up, but I'm here now. I'll take over."
Starlight's smile waver, her dark eyes hardening toward the leader of the Seven. "Of course." Her warmth returns when she addresses you. "We should do that again. I had fun."
You felt like you could explode. "Y-yeah! I had fun too. I'll see you later!" You didn't have many friends, at least not organic friends that you made yourself.
Yeah, your friendship with Starlight was definitely not Homelander approved.
The entire time it takes Starlight to leave the gym, Homelander's glare didn't move from her back. He didn't like her around his sister one bit.
"Alright!" Your cheerful hum brings him back to you. "Now I can really go all out. You ready?"
Corner of his mouth curling up into one of affection. He'd put a pin in it, wait until later. For now, he just wanted to enjoy being around you and having you beam up at him like he was your own personal deity. Your main god whom you would always rely on.
With Homelander distracted, Starlight takes the opportunity to slink out of the Tower and to the Boys' hideout. Her gray hoodie covers her signature gold hair. Hopefully that and her ripped pants would deter anyone from her identity. What she was doing was not only stupid but dangerous. For her, for Hughie, even for Butcher who wasn't exactly her favorite person.
"Annie! I was about to call you." Hughie immediately opens the door once he spies her through the peephole. "That girl-"
Annie holds her breath, waiting for what information they'd scrounged up.
"Another fuckin' supe." Butcher steals Hughie's opportunity as his heavy gaze lands on Annie.
She blinks and turns to Hughie. "What's he talking about?"
Hughie ruefully glances at Butcher before finishing what he was going to say earlier "That girl is Homelander's sister."
"That's. . ." The air in her lungs was stolen for her as it sunk in. Homelander's predatory claim of her, his hovering. But did you even know? It didn't seem likely.
Sitting her down, Hughie goes on to divulge more of Vought's dirty secrets that they tried to bury. A lot of hard work went into finding anything about you. All they had to go off of was your name. Any lead they managed to get was followed up. It was a wonder that they ever came upon the truth of your origin.
Staring at the blotchy piece of paper that Frenchie handed her, Annie felt her mouth go completely dry. The page was weathered, an old copy that held stains on the surface. Some words were so faded that they were intelligible.
John [the Homelander] failure uncontrollable neutralize
Lack of normal childhood had greatly damaged the psyche of Homelander. The problem lay in the fact that Homelander was indestructible. There was no known way to seriously maim him.
That was where the conception of you was truly developed. You would be raised entirely different than how Homelander was. That was Vought's mistake.
This was a tightly held secret. No one was meant to know about it. It sounded like Stan Edgar and his gaggle of scientists did everything they possibly could to ensure that you being related to Homelander would never come out.
"I guess with the truth of Ryan, he must have grown even more suspicious and found the information himself." quietly mused Hughie.
"Where did you get this document?" Annie forces her eyes up to him.
That has Butcher scoffing "What's it to you?"
Hughie intercedes. "We broke into Vogelbaum's home. Wasn't exactly the easiest thing to do. He was one of the scientist in charge of Homelander when he was growing up."
Worriedly chewing on her bottom lip, Annie closes her eyes to replay all of Homelander's interactions with you. Something still wasn't right. Why didn't you know? And why hadn't Homelander told you yet?
All of those questions plague her trip back to the Tower. It was never a good idea for her to be gone for too long. Others might grow suspicious of her outings.
She shouldn't be poking her nose deeper into Vought's business. But she couldn't let you be influenced by someone like Homelander. He was lying to you like he was lying to the rest of the world about how much of a good person he was. He wasn't golden. He was tarnished and distorted. And by how you gaze at him, Annie worries that you'd be all too willing to be corrupted by him. Eventually Homelander will show his true colors. When he does it will be too late for you to back out. He won't let you. Annie could see your future unfold before her. How you'd be stuck in the Seven similar to everyone else, including herself.
Slipping back in easily, Annie had to shed her sweatshirt and pants to dawn her Starlight uniform. Well, it felt more like a costume to her now. Losing all meaning when she discovered the Seven were not as honorable as she'd first imagined.
You'd done so well during your training, Homelander deemed it only right that you get a special treat: a special viewing of the new Vought supe movie. Better was that it would be screened in Vought's private theatre that was only accessible for the higher ups in the company. For tonight, he'd call in a favor to reserve the whole room just for you. Gourmet treats would be included and anything else you wanted.
Going back to your room to shower and change, you show up in a comfortable pair of yoga pants and an old graphic tee. You're about to put on a lightweight jacket until you catch the buzzing of your phone.
Hope that it's your mom and or dad, you rush to where your phone was charging only to be disappointed. Just a useless app notification.
You try not to let it get to you but it was already nearing a month since you got there and you hadn't spoken to your parents once. Weighing the phone in your hand, you contemplate trying to call them again. Mind changing when you notice the time. You replace your morose mood to one of giddiness and slip your phone into the pocket of your yoga pants.
You were a little surprised to see him still in his uniform and partially embarrassed for yourself. Maybe you should have dressed up a little bit more?
Homelander didn't appear to mind. In fact his smile grew.
"Should I go back and change?"
"No, you're perfect. Just the way you are." His smile disarms any concern you may have previously had. "In fact I feel overdressed."
"Next time we'll have to coordinate outfit aesthetics." You chuckle and follow him in. The theatre was no yet darkened. This wasn't like any screening room you'd been in before. Each seat was the size of a couch that were capable of reclining. Except for the two of you, the room was completely empty.
Seeing Homelander in such a setting was a bit weird. Homelander was doing something as normal as sitting down and watching a movie was bizarre. He even used the reclining button for his own seat.
Before the movie started, he calls in for food and drinks be brought to the both of you.
Once you were in possession of your snacks, the room darkens and the screen comes to life.
You like when Homelander becomes your personal commentator. He tells you behind the scenes bloopers that others would not be privy to on the special features. Both of you are loud and don't care when you laugh or talk. Honestly you didn't pay much attention to the movie. You were more entertained with talking to Homelander and spending time with him.
The feeling was mutual. Homelander had never felt as carefree as he did when he was with you. Your laugh was a beautiful one that he wanted to hear all the time.
And with you looking at him with eyes that shine lightening strike blue from the light of the movie, he really couldn't hold himself back. He removes one of his red gloves and moves it to tenderly brush against your cheek, asking without using his words for your lips.
From that single point of contact, your entire body is set aflame. Your breath lodged in your throat as you realize what is about to happen. To show your consent you tilt your face up and allow him access.
Homelander doesn't waste a second in closing the gap.
