Danny snorted, swallowing the food in his mouth.

Danny froze like a deer in headlights. Ray, on the other hand, threw his hands up with an exasperated sound before bringing them down loudly against his thighs. He turned his head to direct a glare that screamed I told you so, pointing aggressively at the out-of-sight entrance.

Danny raised his hands in surrender, eyebrows high. He was about to defend himself when a shudder ran down his spine. His body tensed instinctively, chest tightening in anticipation of that familiar cold. It never came. A deep unease settled in his chest instead. He fought down that fight-or-flight adrenaline that was flooding him, trying to push him into unnecessary action. His eyes widened at the feeling. One he hadn’t felt in years.

He clenched his fists that were still in the air and physically shook the feeling off. Ray let his death glare drop to raise his eyebrows at him questioningly.

“Uh, you okay?”

Other than feeling twitchy all over and like someone stomped on my grave?

“Yeah, peachy.” He cringed at the croak in his voice. “Just shivers. The usual.”

OK SO..

I recently saw a crossover AU with Gravity Falls and TPOM and I wanted to propose my own take on it? I don’t have any art for it just yet, but I do have a rough idea:

After his base gets destroyed by the penguins and his own sister, Dr. Blowhole decides to set his new base elsewhere. Far away from the penguins. To a place they’d never suspect.

And what better place than Gravity Falls, Oregon?

(Hey, if Mermando was able to find his way back to the sea from there, no use in arguing Blowhole couldn’t find his way in)

Coincidentally, the penguins, the lemurs, and Marlene end up getting transferred over there, as a brand new zoo was built in the town. Gravity Falls has grown as a town since the canon series of events, yet manages to retain its charm.

The town’s weirdness sets Skipper’s paranoia to the max, however Kowalski finds this place to be a research haven, much like Ford once did.

The OG GF cast has aged significantly here. The Mystery Twins are now adults, living with their Grunkles by choice given their tough family environment back in California. Dipper works as an assistant to his Grunkle Ford, while Mabel has gotten herself a job as the new zookeeper at the Gravity Falls Zoo. She absolutely adores the animals there, especially the penguins.

Skipper finds her to be a bit much, but at least her treatment of them is better than Alice’s was. Still doesn’t trust her.

Private thinks she’s a delight to have around. Although is confused as to why she hates unicorns so much.

Kowalski has no opinion on her. He’s much more interested in learning about Ford and Dipper.

And Rico? Well…let’s just say there’s conflict. And not the type of conflict you’d think. Maybe finally understanding how Private fell for Shauna…

Please tell me that i'm not the only one who thinks constantly about monster!ghost cuz he's been living in my mind rent free for like two weeks ;;

Like....imagine ghost being something like a primordial entity, a true eldricht horror in the form of a seemingly normal human....or is he?

Ever since the first meeting with task force 141 and seeing ghost for the first time in person you felt a weird, unexplainable feeling raise up in you chest; it felt primal for the lack of better wording, like a deep primal fear when you can feel a predator eyeing you but you have no idea where or who it is, this was the feeling when you first met ghost.

Maybe it was his sheer size, like a behemoth; too broad shoulders and chest, muscled waist and hips, thick and strong legs supporting his overbearing, too-large body. Or maybe it were the deep, black, seemingly soulless eyes felt like they were looking right through your very being; when his large, heavy frame came closer to you, you could swear you heard him inhale and let out a quiet appreciative rumblr from deep within his chest, his heacy eyelids closing for the first time you ever saw and then opening half-way lazily before resuming their unforgiving stare at you.

Soap luckily caught onto your subtle fidgeting under the lieutenant's gaze and quickly stepped in, dissolving the slightly tense atmosphere. He wrapped a stong arm around your shoulders and gave you a charming smile before inviting you in for a 'bonding session' since you 'needed to get to know your new comrades bonnie!', his words not yours.

Gaz was quick to joint your little party and offered to get his cards and some cheap booze he kept hidden for such special occasions. You smiled a little, the previous feeling of dread forgotten when you saw the smiling faces of the seemingly intimidating men openly inviting you to spend time with thwm and get to know each other. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all and you were only overreacting? Yeah, that's it for sure, no worries whatsoever.

The majority of generated transformers imagery I've seen is already just blobs of color. Ironically, robots are hard for AI to understand. And here am I, with hundreds of scruched up little (though maybe even too little to be included in a dataset) images, selected specifically for looking weird, all tagged various transformers characters. Just imagine what all those croissant Arcees could do to an image generator!

i'm ranting abt yet another bl manhwa

i started reading even if you don't love me earlier this year and recently it concluded! i have many thoughts. none if them are nice.

for the uninitiated, even if you don't love me follows these two guys who meet in high school. the bottom is a poor guy who is continuing his education a year or two later (he initially dropped out to help support his family) and the top is a rich kid with anger issues. they go to a high school full of rich people, the poor bottom going there on a scholarship. he has plans to graduate and become a lawyer. the rich top is supposed to be taking over the conglomerate his family owns.

anyways the bottom and top share a class, and there's this other rich kid there who looks a lot like dio brando. he notices that the top is pretty antagonistic towards the bottom so he goes and tries to strike up a friendship with the bottom. this pisses the top off, ofc it does.

anyways the bottom and the top eventually start dating, he begins to spoil the bottom, even going as far as getting him a puppy. although the bottom felt uncomfortable with relying on the top so much all is well.

until it isn't. the bottom's dad dies in a hit and run, his colossal debt dumped onto him now, and he drops out again to work to pay it off.

now here's where i start to get annoyed with this manhwa.

someone dubbed this manhwa "even if you misunderstand me" and that really summarizes all 135 characters of it ���� i'm perfectly fine with drama and dark plots but oh my GOD, 65% of the drama came from these idiots not communicating AT ALL. and it's acceptable-ish when they're seniors in high school (19 and 17), their miscommunication that set them up for failure started back then, but the manhwa does like 3 timeskips over the course of close to a decade if not longer, and the bulk of their miscommunication happens when they're too fucking old to be behaving like this. the other 35% of the drama is because they didn't fucking communicate as well. there's a difference between these two forms of miscommunication LOL

the first comes from them simply not talking their issues out. the other comes from them not telling each other shit. for example, towards the end of the manhwa the bottom gets kidnapped by dio brando and that could have been ENTIRELY AVOIDED had the top actually explained that dio brando is a psycho druggie and fucking hates his guts AND will go to extreme lengths to take whatever the top has his eyes on. this should have been explained to the bottom WHEN THEY WERE IN HIGH SCHOOL instead of the top playing it off as being possessive. another example is how dio brando is the one behind the bottom'a father dying. the top could have just told him that instead of fucking up their relationship even more by paying off the debt and forcing the bottom to pay him back then assaulting him when he was like several minutes late to paying him back at the agreed time. the reason he was late is bc he'd gotten beat up and gang raped at one of his jobs.

and that brings up another issue i have w the manhwa. the assaults that happened to the bottom genuinely don't make sense. i get why he got gang raped (dio brando set him up). but at one of his previous jobs his cowokers raped him there too? he was working at like a mining company or something in the mountains i think. was that really necessary. the top forcing him to give him a blowjob after he paid him back late didn't make much sense either but i will let that slide since he was trying to be a hardass.

anyways they eventually got to the point where they were making an effort to communicate which was way too late in the story, lol. it was nice to see but immensely annoying to stumble thru 100+ chapters of them having the stupidest beef bc they're like 7 year olds in the body of adults. at the end dio brando kidnapped the bottom and tried to rape him but he got stabbed in the eye and that stalled him long enough for the top to bust in guns blazing and nearly beat him to death. dio brando got sent to the psych ward and the top paid some guy to kill him in there. they live happily ever after with their dog. 3/10 story, i feel like this manhwa being officially published really tanked the quality of the story, but i feel this way about pretty much every manhwa i've picked up, it's just more obvious in some vs others

when mc was ten, they "ran away" but came back a couple hours later because it started to snow, and they literally didn't have a coat. They thought nobody in their family noticed, but Soren had a full force of peacekeepers looking for them while Ione went out herself to look for them. When everyone was back home, they all acted like nothing happened.

"shinsou, it's 4am." you sigh into the phone, surprised at how sober he sounds despite the late call. you groan as you move your legs, still aching with the pain you've been feeling the entire day. "yeah, i know, i'm sorry... i just got off a shift."

your eyebrow quirks up at that, "aren't you at kami's place?"

you hear a sharp intake on the other end, "yeah uh, no, i... i took a shift. someone called in sick, or that was the excuse, at least." he laughs at the end but it's strained and you can almost hear the gears in his head going into overdrive. you think he already expects what you say next, "but you weren't on call."

he sighs before opening his mouth, "yeah it wasn't...." his voice trails off and the silence stretches out. you try to shift position again as you ask if he's there. an affirmative sound comes back to you and you're confused as to what's going on as you try to grab your waterglass without straining your arms too much.

he wheezes out a laugh at your question, "shouldn't i be the one asking?" you shrug your shoulders, "meh. i'm used to the pain at this point. but why did you take a shift on new year's eve?"

he sighs out and you hear him shifting around, imagining him changing which ear his phone is by as he searches his mind for a reply. you've seen him do this when he feels interrogated by his dads. "the party wouldn't be the same... without you."

you spit out the water you just drank and choke on the rest. he frantically says your name and asks what's going on but it feels like he's on the other side of a bubble with unexpected confessions like that.

confessions? does it count as one? you regain your breathing and assure him that you're okay and that you just got water down the wrong throat. he tuts at you and reminds you to be more careful. you can hear the relief and his smile in his voice.

"anyway, happy new year to you too." you mumble, your fingers drawing mindless circles onto your sheets. "thanks. did you do anything special when the clock struck 12?"

"i was sleeping, got knocked out by the pills. what about you? caught a well-timed villain as the bells rang?" you joke, enjoying the chuckle you're rewarded with.

you almost laugh but it only comes out as you blowing air aggressively through your nose, surprised by his sudden straightforwardness. "i think i'd do both, honestly."

HERE IS ME CONTINUING TO MANIFEST IT.

So, as per my post HERE I talked about the potential to burn Buck's loft down. Now, again, you don't have to tell me twice about how AO3 this theory is, I have been in this fandom since day one and I have read an unhealthy amount of fanfictions with this plot line, but, indulge me a second, will you?

So, at the beginning of the season I know that SOMEWHERE, there was a scene where there was a housing market crisis headline on the TV in the background, but I cannot for the life of me find it, so here is a screenshot of a post I saw talking about it!

We also have the scene where Buck is touring Harbour with Tommy at the start of 7x04 and Tommy mentions that he sometimes responds to "high-rise fires."... interesting Tommy; do you sense a high-rise fire in your near future to save you boyfriend, huh, HUH?!?

AND THEN, we have Buck at the end of 7x04 before Tommy knocks on the door seemingly going through paperwork, bills maybe? This, accompanied with the housing market crisis SCREAMS that Buck is maybe having issues with paying rent, or with living in the loft in general and is potentially looking for an out?

Now. all of these combined alone are enough to see a potential storyline to do with the loft (and it burning down, cough cough), but what really sealed the deal was Eddie's comment in the last episode (7x07).

Eddie walking in and commenting that he could smell smoke, with Buck telling him the new recipe he is working on is cracking him, rubbed me the wrong way. What a STRANGE way to word that scene. AND THEN, Buck looking up at the ceiling, where I assume the smoke detector is, all confused as if it should have been going off, but wasn't, is potentially foreshadowing issues with the building.

NOW, all of this together, SCREAMS a storyline to do with Buck's loft, the scene in 7x07 just solidifying a potential fire even moreso.

I will admit, I have changed my mind on Amir's involvement in the fire. I now highly doubt this man would go through all this effort to burn down an apartment complex, after suffering such a loss in one himself, and would not go out of his way to injure innocent people. BUT, what I do think however, is that his conflict with Bobby is going to potentially do some more foreshadowing for the loft potentially burning down.

I doubt Amir would use the words as direct as "karma is a bitch", but I do think sentences like...

"The universe has a wicked sense of payback." "Life has a way of serving up its own brand of justice." "In the end, karma is a flame that burns with the heat of our actions."

that all basically SCREAM, fire. And this makes Bobby super anxious but Amir is gone, he is either over it and has moved on with his lil ominous departure, or he's been arrested for his conflict with Bobby, and Athena is like, "he is gone, that man is gone from our lives." and Bobby settles because she is right, it's fine. everything is fine.

Until it isn't.

Until something happens that causes Buck's loft to go up in flames and all Bobby can think about is, fuck, this is my karma, and he is like, no, I will save my son, and he goes all badass and he gets Buck outta there.
