Back late from running a Masonic Clay shooting event.

So hungry and tired I needed something quick, going old school with a can of heinz spaghetti Bolognese on proper Salted Farmhouse buttered toast with grated cheese and a mug of tea.

By golly that hit the spot, I was transported back to my mum's kitchen as a boy coming in from shooting and eating this whilst watching the A Team on the portable TV.

Who else finds food from our council house days nostalgic.

Now that's eating like a Council Estate King 👑

A small Thanksgiving meal for one that I've been looking forward to since midweek. It's simply fixings: garlic roasted chicken that I cooked in my fish oven, green beans with onions and potatoes, chive mashed potatoes, and some toast with some herb and cheese spread on it since I forgot to get proper rolls. (And a Sprite so I can feel like I'm at someone else's house accepting a cool drink!) For dessert: walnut brownies, since a sweet potato pie was a bit too much to make for just me. It'd go bad before I finished, more than likely. I'm quite happy and can't wait to have some more at lunch and dinner tomorrow. Good food like this is always wonderful to indulge in. It's been a long year, but I'm thankful that I've got good food that makes tough days easier. A warm meal certainly does go a long way, especially on nice days like this.
