Similar to how plotpoints have been re-written for the Furry!AU these three also serve altered points in the story c: All three are similar to College Students, studying in different classes but still sticking together as a clique!

Thad & Lizzy are siblings (don't ask me how this works okay, it's a Furry!AU lol) and Doll is their best friend. Together they kinda "run" the show at their College but in a positive way. Lizzy still is fairly snarky and has a big mouth if she wants to, always a roast on the tip of her tongue but also quite smart and capable of handling herself. She studies to be a labratory worker!

Thad's studying to become a physical educator/personal trainer while Doll's becoming a weapons engineer! She's infected by the Solver's sickness due to her mother having a cured version, so the Solver cannot mutate her like it does with other beings so it kind of wants to see her dead. No use - no life in it's eyes.

Thad and Lizzy grow increasingly concerned for Doll as she suffers from the Solvers attempts at tormenting her and when she disappears the two siblings are the first to search for her, eventually working together with Uzi, Nathan and Vera.

no asoiaf character has ever been more doomed than Lady the direwolf. with most characters you can always rationalize their fate with "oh if they had done this instead of that then things might have been different they would still be alive the war wouldn't have happened etc etc". but with Lady there is just no plausible scenario in which she doesn't end up dead by the end of agot :(

#Wolves

I need to say a few words here about Wolves and their role in biodiversity. Because I like them, but most of all, they're a must in the wilderness.

Like every time we are standing on the edge of a hiking trail of a National Park, a protected territory, we all must beware of the consequences.

Au contrary to what most people may think of its surface, no matter how large it might be, isn't big enough to sustain a healthy Wolf population over a long term. This large Predator requires a massive home range to find the prey it needs to survive. Studies have shown that all the Wolf packs in Parks must travel outside its boundaries to meet their needs. And these large Canids are also victims of habitat degradation and fragmentation, not to mention deaths of human origin.

And for people who don't know, Wolves are considered as an umbrella species. Which means that efforts to protect it benefit the entire ecosystem, since the Wolf's territory encompasses the territories of many other species with a similar home range.

As for being an apex Predators, Wolves play an important role in biodiversity. Yes, their presence has been scientifically proven to increase the abundance and diversity of plants, mamal's Birds, Amphibiants, and Reptiles. Wolves help to control the amount of Prey on their territory; this prevents an overpopulation of herbivores, which could be detrimental to plant regrowth. Wolves also give a boost to several other animal species by leaving their partially carcasses for scavengers to feed on. Through its influence on the entire food chain and by curbing excessive grazing. So yes, the Wolf is a key species needed to preserve the balance of Ecosystem.

To conclude; Wolves are very wary and will run away from any human they detect through their remarkable senses of hearing and smell - they can sniff out their Prey from more than 2kms away. Several studies have shown that Wolves will try to avoid humans at all costs and flee when approached.

Just to say that all citizens have a responsibility to protect the Wolves.

"Sansa = Ned 2.0 and Arya = Catelyn 2.0" is one of those takes where you can just tell people are more attached to the aesthetic than anything. "The Stark girls are most like the parent they look least like" sounds good on paper and people run with the idea, regardless of how it actually fits into the story. A majority of the justification relies on misinterpreting all of their characters + a healthy dose of fanon. What gets me is that this is the same fandom that insists that Lyanna, only compared to Arya in the text, is equal parts Arya and Sansa but Ned and Catelyn, two fully fleshed-out and complex characters, have to be more like one girl or the other? There's just nothing in the story to justify being so adamant about these comparisons. Arya and Sansa have parallels with both of their parents but at the end of the day, they are unique characters with their own stories. I'll never understand why people want to flatten these complex characters down to their most basic tropes and fit them into restrictive boxes just for a "poetical~" comparison.

context and explanation: EA's quarterly earnings conference call for Q4 and FY 2024 starts in just under 15 minutes at 2pm PT. before the calls start, some of the associated files/documents pertaining to the call get put up on EA's website. The "Core Business and FY25 Title Slate" image is from the Earnings Slides. the quote under the table reads "We have two unannounced titles in FY25: one partner title expected in Q4, and one owned IP title, which is not included in the above table. We expect to provide more details on timing at a later date." DA:D is an owned IP title of EA. The Twitter user asks Jeff Grubb (a games media person who revealed the title of DA:D) if the referenced "one owned IP title" is DA:D. Jeff confirms that this does indeed refer to Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, meaning that this slide confirms that DA:D is planned to release in FY25 (Financial Year 25). for info, I think FY25 runs from 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2025.

Some time last year I had a bizarrely vivid dream about blogging through the aftermath of a post blowing up about how Skadi’s name was, in the dream, an ethnic slur for a group of Northern European/Icelandic (it wasn’t clear in the dream) indigenous people. (She’s actually named after the Norse goddess Skaði). The rest of the dream involved all the various responses to the post, like the people who defended the name and wanted to keep using it, the people who tried coming up with alternate names for her and then argued with each other over which name should be the one everyone uses, and the people who saw it as justification to harass everyone who ever referred to her by name and posted in the tag for her name. The defenders were rancid, the alt name debates got really heated, and the harassers ended up driving a ton of fan artists who don’t speak English off the website who were getting harassed but didn’t know why. There was all sorts of discourse about whether or not we should even talk about her anymore even though it was only her name, not her design, that was offensive. Some people tried to get the devs to change her name but never got a response. The entire time I was sitting there feeling bad for having used it and thinking “Hey, why the fuck did they name her that???”

When I woke up, i felt stressed and tired having dreamt about tumblr discourse. I went looked up what her name meant to make sure that was just in the dream, and then posted about it like I do for most of my weird dreams. I didn’t expect anyone to respond. Instead I had a number of replies telling me that most of that actually happened/happens every once in a while, and that my subconscious just picked the wrong character.
