no asoiaf character has ever been more doomed than Lady the direwolf. with most characters you can always rationalize their fate with "oh if they had done this instead of that then things might have been different they would still be alive the war wouldn't have happened etc etc". but with Lady there is just no plausible scenario in which she doesn't end up dead by the end of agot :(

#yeah i've said it before pretty much the same. if lady somehow lives then she dies during the coup 😭#arya is actually lucky she got nymeria to run when she did because getting her out of the red keep during the coup and into the city#would've been a bitch from the seventh hell so to speak. not to mention traveling with yoren's nw recruits and everything#(and of course nymeria and her wolfpack will have a purpose by the end and for that she had to separate from arya. builds her warging too)#only way to keep both lady and nymeria alive and with the girls is for all of them to never go south at all. and that's a whole other story#asoiaf#lady#my poor baby girl#doomed by the narrative#narrative casualties#crying forever#queue and me we're in this together now
