Denji and a "Normal Life"

So I've been thinking about something Fujimoto said that superheroes should either retire or die, and I'm thinking about how that mindset may apply to Denji, and what a "normal life" would mean to him.

The idea of someone putting down the mantle isn't unheard of, stories where people are able to stop fighting and learn to appreciate the lives they have, and with Denji I can see how that can work. He views CSM has something better than who he is, something that people can love, and I feel like if people are able to love Denji, and that he knows that people love him that he could maybe one day stop being CSM and be happy with a "normal life". However the more I thought about it, the more I thought about how a "normal life" looks considering the context it's been introduced to him, that it's something that has been forced on him without his consent or general personhood in mind. Public Safety does not care about Denji, they forced a "normal life" on him because it was easier for them, they did so by threatening Nayuta's life, and I highly suspect that they knew the Church would blow up in Denji's face sooner or later, so it was a shitty deal from the very start. As well meaning as Asa is, she wants a "normal life" for Denji is because it's what she thinks he wants, she thinks this because everyone else is saying that is what he needs to be happy, and as much as I love Asa everything about her story is her trying to do what she thinks is right and hurting those she's trying to help, even her "helping" Denji live a "normal life" is fighting him. When Denji was forced by PS to live a "normal life" he was miserable, he felt lost and without purpose, but when he became Chainsaw Man it caused him to lose Nayuta, and him saying that him being CSM makes everything worsw doesn't tell me he thinks a "normal life" isn't something good to strive for, but rather a punishment for being selfish and possibly getting Nayuta killed.

That's how I view the way the story has set up a "normal life" for him, that's it's Denji being punished for the actions of others, because we've seen Denji be happy with his time Aki and Power and later Nayuta, it was only when other people got involved and decided to ruin his happiness that the idea of a "normal life" was being pushed onto him. Public Safety forced Denji to live a "normal life" and they failed to keep him safe, even though I doubt that was ever a high priority to them, and his transformation back into CSM was an act of self-defense, Barem and the others had burned his house and pets down and would have gone after him, Nayuta and Fumiko if he hadn't transformed, yet despite being the victim he was punished for it. Then there is the Church, who have attacked Denji and manipulated the public image of him for their own needs, and Fami's deal with Asa only exists to make her comply with her plans, with Denji's own wants and desires merely an afterthought. If Denji had a stable life where he was offered an out he could have taken of his own volition, but he still became CSM and ruined that happiness, that would be one thing, but Denji's story is about how he has been exploited and abused his whole life through no fault of his own by people who saw no value in him beyond how they could use him.

Denji should in the end be allowed to choose his own happiness without anyone else interfering in what that means, and if he comes to accept a "normal life", then it should be on his own terms, but with everything currently going on in the story a "normal life" is just a punishment afflicted on him by others and that he deserves it because from his point of view he's a selfish monster who gets his family killed so why should he be happy?
