printing my own paperwork for bloodwork is the most annoying shit. like it's bad enough that they're going to charge me a stupid amount to test my blood again and find out all of my levels are fine and healthy again but having to see "morbidly obese" on the paperwork is a real insult to injury situation.

#shout out to my man mithrun#for making it clear through example that not having the natural queues to preform a life function means you have to like. compensate#I'm on the extreme end of the adhd 'no hunger' and I often don't notice I need to eat until I'm literally about to faint#hunger to me is the symptoms of low blood sugar#but mithrun's character arc (and especially the meta AROUND mithrun here on tumblr)#have made me notice for the first time that this is perhaps... something I can and should change#I've started to make myself a schedule#five hours is a normal amount of time between meals right?

We (me on this current pump) deserved so much better...

do you remember how we used to run....
#i used the normal mios for years and just in the last few months of having the previous pump they switched it to the mio advance#and i got a taste for it. and god was it 10x better.#but then i switched pumps bc w insurance we can get a new one every 4ish years. and the new pump works much better in terms of blood sugar#management! and rechargability#but this motherfucker. is only compatible with the mios.#no mio advance for me#THEY TOOK MY LOVE AWAY FROM ME#IM DEVASTATED#IT'S BEEN YEARS WHY DONT THEY HAVE THIS IN MY PUMP TYPE YET :(#sierra speaks#DIABETES#type 1 diabetes#t1d#cw medical#type 1 diabetic#anyways. the mio standards suck in so many ways. i have some sort of problem when i insert them like 40% of the time#the tubing loves to get stuck in the fuckin spring mechanism#and THAT likes to get stuck.#and ive poked myself on it while either fixing it or trying to cap it#the advance? none of these issues. the tubing does not get in the way of the spring.#the needle is like safeguarded retracted up into it as a safety precaution#and it's so much more efficient in terms of space and plastic use#i never had the issues i do with the mio. especially bc like retracting the needle is a manual thing and it often gets stuck and pulls#the site and canula up. which fucks w it#anyways. im distraught#and so so tired

Hey y'all! Weird question time, but let me preface it by saying these are not symptoms I am currently experiencing and also I have talked to doctors about this, I just didn't think to put the two things together For all the migraine havers out there, do you have tachycardia when you have migraines? Either like during the whole migraine, or only with migraines bad enough to cause stomach issues?
#the person behind the yarn#I had just assumed the migraine tachycardia was another case of like#my body will take any excuse to make my heart go fast it's not necessarily super related to what happens#like the asthma! I think wheezing causes an increase in heart rate for most people#but I don't think most people with asthma reach the 'hit the floor' point of heartrate waaaaaay#before they reach that point because of the asthma itself#seriously my asthma would be SO MINOR if my heart would just behave I've never tested at lower than 96 percent oxygen#my migraines are also not that bad as far as migraines go#except! if I get past the initial high blood pressure low heart rate stage of a migraine#I tip over into the stomach issues stage where my resting heart rate shoots up into the 160s#and also I am pretty sure my blood sugar crashes fairly hard?#I haven't been able to test that because since I figured out that might be the issue#if I reach the stomach issues stage of a migraine I stop drinking water and drink only things with sugar in them#which works well for me! also per the blood sugar thing#I have been tested for blood sugar issues and I officially clinically do not have any#I am apparently 'just a little bit sensitive to insulin' so my blood sugar (on non migraine days)#doesn't actually get hypoglycemic it just drops from being on the high end of normal so fast#that I get symptoms as like. whiplash. so that's something I guess

me: so yeah i feel super dizzy and lightheaded when i stand up and also just at random times of the day and also my heart just starts pounding randomly and it skips a beat randomly at least once a day and im also experiencing these other small things that i realized probably arent normal
the cardiologist: yeah, your heart’s beating too fast, but that’s just Normal Teenager Things™️! probably just like dehydration or something lol
#at least he sent me for blood tests and stuff#(which all came back normal)#and i have to wear a heart monitor for three days#my parents got mad at me because its been happening for a while and i didnt say anything#but in my defense i genuinely just didnt know that it wasnt normal#i thought that it just happened sometimes#also i didnt know the amount until i actually started to have to track it for the heart monitor#and maybe im not drinking Enough water but i genuinely dont think thats the main issue#i could be completely wrong but it feels like its more than that#we’ll see i guess#once im done with this and they get the results in and decide if they want to just brush it off or whatever#also had a nurse who was like weirdly insistent that i mustve been drinking a shit ton of soft drinks#just cause i mentioned that ill have a soft drink with meals sometimes (not nearly to the extent she was trying to say)#and she wouldnt believe me or my mom when we said that the soft drinks are pretty much always zero-sugar zero-caffeine#tachycardia#i mean thats what the doctor said it looks like#i dont really know what else to tag#chronic illness#maybe???#i dont know i dont have a diagnosis or anything so i dont wanna be like “oh thats def what that is”#also#pots#possibly#i did a shit ton of research on my own and i just really felt like what i was experiencing was lining up with it#but i dont wanna self diagnose

Okay, but guys, I have been eating rice for every meal as well as a lot of vegetable side dishes (fried or fermented or pickled mostly) for a little over two weeks now, and not only am I down to two or three meals a day, I’m also starting to experience hunger again! I’m so excited!
#It has been YEARS since my body has given me proper “hunger” signals#I didn’t feel “hunger” not even when I needed to eat#so I wouldn’t eat at the right times which made my blood sugar swing wildly ALL OVER THE PLACE#and I either felt nothing or WILDLY RAVENOUS SUDDENLY I MUST EAT THE WHOLE WORLD NOW!#and since gaining some weight I’ve been a little more normal and could sorta gauge hunger like a person again#But not really#and now suddenly I get hungry like a regular human being and I LOVE it#My sugar hasn’t crashed in over a week#This is awesome!

I have to go to work in 10 minutes but
I had this lovely dream where it somehow went from "I woke up in this big house and realized I wasn't chosen to be part of the X-men because I was still in the house and not magically in the X-men world"
to "me and the other people who also were not chosen were trying to make the best of the situation, getting breakfast in the kitchen, and one of them was an attractive blonde man named Seth who I realized at some point was working for the devil."
We shared a chaffle that tasted magically good despite having no sugar, and I was like "Wow, this tastes like a real waffle for once, that's weird," and he winked at me, and said if I worked with him, I could have any food I wanted and not worry about my blood sugar.
So y'know, that's what the devil's servant is doing in my dreams, making my keto-friendly chaffles taste decent.
the dream ended with me confronting this random woman who had given us failed advice on how to join the X-men and confronting her about Seth working for the devil, and me saying, "but you said the Devil would work on Saturdays"
then I woke up
and did a bunch of early morning errands 'cause baby, we're about to get slammed with two snow storms this week :)))
