Tumblr media
Introduction
In the digital age, privacy is paramount. NordVPN has emerged as a top choice for many. But is it truly the best VPN in 2024? Let’s delve into the features, performance, and user experience to find out.
Features of NordVPN
NordVPN boasts a robust set of features designed to enhance online security. With over 5,400 servers in 59 countries, it ensures fast and reliable connections. The service offers double VPN, which encrypts data twice for added security. Additionally, CyberSec technology blocks ads and malicious websites, further protecting users from online threats.
Security and Privacy
Security is NordVPN's strong suit. It uses AES-256 encryption, one of the most secure encryption standards. This ensures that your data remains private. NordVPN also follows a strict no-logs policy, meaning it does not track or store user activity. Furthermore, it supports Onion Over VPN for anonymous browsing and includes a kill switch to prevent data leaks if the connection drops.
Speed and Performance
Speed is a crucial factor for any VPN. NordVPN excels in this area, providing fast and stable connections. Whether streaming, gaming, or browsing, users can enjoy smooth performance. The extensive server network contributes to minimal latency and high speeds, making it ideal for various online activities.
User Experience
NordVPN offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Setting up the VPN is straightforward, and the app is available on multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Users can connect up to six devices simultaneously with one account, making it convenient for households with multiple devices.
Customer Support
Customer support is vital for any service. NordVPN provides 24/7 customer support through live chat and email. The support team is responsive and knowledgeable, ensuring that users get prompt assistance with any issues they may encounter.
Pricing Plans
NordVPN offers competitive pricing. Users can choose from several plans, including monthly, yearly, and two-year options. The longer the subscription, the more cost-effective it becomes. Additionally, NordVPN frequently offers discounts and promotions, making it even more affordable.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
Strong security features
Fast and reliable connections
User-friendly interface
Excellent customer support
Competitive pricing
Cons:
Some servers may be slow during peak times
The double VPN feature can slightly reduce speed
Conclusion
NordVPN stands out as one of the best VPN services in 2024. Its robust security, fast speeds, and user-friendly interface make it a top choice for anyone seeking online privacy. While there are minor drawbacks, the overall performance and features outweigh these. For those looking for a reliable and secure VPN, NordVPN is highly recommended.

what VPN do you use and how do you pirate spotify?
okay so I use nordvpn (I just like it) but if you don't wanna pay, proton vpn is a good secondary—it's a freemium-based model, but the free version is just fine.
Next, I used this https://apkmody.io/apps/spotify-premium-mod-apk to pirate spotify premium.
You wanna uninstall spotify, and download this apk. It works exactly the same as spotify premium. It only works for androids, so ios users are kinda fucked
Hope this helps!

VPNs aren't just for pirates and company data anymore
A friend complained to me that they couldn't access pr0n anymore because the government is now requiring ID to verify age where they are, and due to data leaks and privacy issues, didn't want to share their ID even though they're of legal age.
Shit like this doesn't work on the intended target. It only frustrates people who are aren't tech savvy while a lot of kids have already found their way around it because that's what kids do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When I talk about VPNs (virtual private networks), non-tech savvy people's eyes glaze over 😂
It sounds like complicated, unknowable magic. It's not! And you don't even have to understand it to use it!
With the government and ISPs (internet service providers) invading privacy more and more and hackers breaking in and stealing user data from companies, VPNs are becoming necessary.
Some Things a VPN Does for You:
hides your data from others
can make your internet speeds faster if your ISP does speed throttling (purposely making your speed slower)
hides what you're doing from your ISP
keeps you safer from some malware, viruses, hackers, and trackers
allows you to access things that are either restricted in your area or not available in your area (such as content in other countries)
keeps you safer when you're out in public connected to wifi
Below is a basic infographic on how VPNs work. When you access the internet, a VPN encrypts your data - making it into a secret code that can't be read by anyone else including your ISP.
Tumblr media
Tech companies, ISPs, etc. want you to think VPNs are complicated so that you won't use them.
When searching for a free VPN, please be aware that a lot of the free VPN services out there are malware or full of viruses and trackers.
Either do some research into which one to choose or use a paid VPN service. You can either pay monthly or yearly - the yearly is always cheaper in the long run.
Some of the Top Rated VPN Services:
ExpressVPN $7 - $13/month
NordVPN $3 - $13/month
Surfshark $2 - $14/month
PrivateInternetAccess $2 - $12/month
ProtonVPN (some sites block this one) $4 - $10/month
CyberGhost $2 - $13/month
I use ExpressVPN, so for the purposes of this post, I'm going to use screenshots from ExpressVPN.
Once you have an account, download the program from the website to your desktop/laptop or find the app on Android or iOS app stores.
Signing in requires a code that the VPN will email to you that unlocks all the features. Pay attention when the program installs because it'll ask you about preferences, and you can easily check yes on blocking pr0n when that's the reason you wanted a VPN in the first place 😂
When the program is open, you'll see this:
Tumblr media
As you can see in the screenshot, not only do I have the program, but I have an ExpressVPN icon on my browser. The program installs this automatically, and when the program is running, the icon will have a green checkmark on it so you know it's working in your browser.
You'll notice I've recently connected using Japan. I did this so I could watch a series that isn't available outside of Japan.
The program automatically chooses a location near you, but if you want to access things that are restricted to you, make sure you click on the three dots to the right of the selected location (see screenshot below) and search for a state/country/place that your content will be available in.
Tumblr media
Once your location is selected, click on the start/power button, and you'll get a popup notification from your computer that ExpressVPN is connected.
Go to the site you want to use and use it like you normally would.
Here's what it should look like when it's running correctly:
Tumblr media
Keep in mind that if you leave a VPN running all the time (which is perfectly fine to do), search engines like Google will assume you live wherever ExpressVPN tells it you live, so searching for "stores near me" will give you results that aren't close to you.
When you're done using the VPN, just hit the power button again and it shuts off.
I use this on all my handheld devices, my desktop, and my laptop for business and personal reasons. I'm a pirate, and I've been using VPNs for a long time, yet none of the ISPs I've used have ever given me a warning about torrenting.
Good luck, and enjoy all the new things you can access!
BTW for anybody wondering, my desktop wallpaper is a map of the world's time zones. So pretty!! 😍

and since I'm talking about puters and data safety "when pirating use a VPN and these extensions and blah blah blah-" yeah that's a good start, but your first step should be using a virtual machine, it's better to fuck up a virtual computer by downloading random files, than to mess up your actual pc/laptop just because you think nordvpn has all your bases covered or some shit firefox alone will not protect you from hot singles in your area

AMC’s Nautilus FINALLY dropped — on Swedish Television of all places! Since AMC doesn’t have a release date yet for the US, this is what I did (using my laptop):
1. I signed up for SVT Play (Which doesn’t require a paid subscription, by the way).
2. I got a monthly subscription for NordVPN which I plan on canceling when I’m done watching the show. It’s around $12 USD. (If anyone knows of a cheaper and equally efficient VPN service let me know!)
3. I downloaded the NordVPN plugin for Chrome and set my location to Sweden.
4. I used Google Translate to translate the SVT Play webpage and then searched, “Nautilus.” Then I was able to play it without a hitch!
I’m on episode 3 and have been so far pleasantly surprised by how good it is. When I watch throughly it, I’ll give more detailed spoiler-avoidant thoughts as soon as I am able!

1. Don’t use a VPN provider hosted in the country you live in, or else that country’s law enforcement could demand access to what data the VPN provider has about you (example: if you live in the US, NordVPN or Trust.Zone would work, since both are originally hosted on servers that are geographically outside the US).
2. If you’re in the US, pick a country that doesn’t have strong extradition treaties with the US. (Example: Trust.Zone is hosted in the Seychelles, and they won’t just hand over data if asked)
3. Never use a free VPN, because that will harvest your data for ad revenue. Expect to pay between $60-$100, but most VPN providers have multi-year sales and multi-device hosting. I can put up to five devices on my account; that’s about the standard.
4. Pick proxy servers in countries with good Internet infrastructure that isn’t prone to cyberattacks (so, Poland over Russia if you want access to Slavic sites, etc)
5. Double VPNs don’t really do that much
6. Make sure that a killswitch protocol is engaged if you plan to do a lot of downloading - these make it so that if your VPN crashes or goes down, your device’s WiFi will switch off and interrupt the download, keeping your activity protected
Thank you so much for the tips! I am basically a boomer when it comes to tech

Preparing Your Amazon Fire Stick
Before beginning the process of adding an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) to your Amazon Fire Stick, it is crucial to ensure that your device is properly prepared.
This involves updating the Fire Stick software and installing necessary tools to facilitate the installation and functionality of the EPG.
Updating Fire Stick Software
To start, users should verify that their Amazon Fire Stick software is current. Navigate to Settings > My Fire TV > About on your Fire Stick. Here, you can check for any available updates. If an update is found, proceed to install it to ensure your device runs smoothly and is compatible with the latest applications and features. Regular software updates can enhance the performance of your Fire Stick and fix potential security vulnerabilities.
Installing Necessary Tools
After updating the software, the next step is to install essential tools that will assist in the management and operation of your Fire Stick, especially for sideloading applications not available directly on the Amazon Appstore.
Install the Downloader App: Begin by installing the Downloader app from the Amazon Store. Use the Search function on the Fire Stick home screen to find and install this app.
Enable Apps from Unknown Sources: Go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options. Here, toggles the option for Apps from Unknown Sources to ON. This setting allows the installation of applications from sources outside the official Amazon Appstore.
Consider a VPN App: For enhanced security and privacy, installing a VPN app like ExpressVPN or NordVPN is advisable. A VPN protects your streaming data and masks your online identity, which is particularly useful when accessing IPTV services.
Additional Tools: Installing a file manager, such as ES File Explorer, can be beneficial for managing files and sideloading apps. For a better media playing experience, consider adding VLC or Kodi, which support a wide range of media formats and streaming protocols.
By following these preliminary steps, your Amazon Fire Stick will be well-equipped to handle the installation of an EPG and any other IPTV applications. This preparation ensures a smoother setup process and a better overall user experience when accessing IPTV services on your device.
Installing EPG on Your Fire Stick
To install an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) on your Amazon Fire Stick, follow these detailed steps, ensuring you can access a wide range of movies xmltv information with ease.
Step-by-Step Installation Process
Access the Live Section: From your Fire Stick home screen, navigate to the "Live" tab. If this option isn't visible, consider updating your system by going to Settings > My Fire TV > About and selecting "Check for Updates".
Launch the Guide: Once in the Live section, scroll down and select "Guide" to open the built-in EPG, which aggregates channels from various sources.
Customize Your Channels: To personalize your EPG, press the options button (marked by three lines on your remote). This action brings up a menu where you can manage and add favorite channels. Choose "Manage Channels" to see active sources and adjust your preferences.
Add Additional Apps: For more channels, install apps like Xumo Play from the Amazon App Store. After installation, navigate to Settings > Live TV > Manage Channels and select "Sync Sources" to integrate Xumo Play into your EPG.
Adjust Channel Placement: To prioritize certain channels in your guide, use the "Move Source" option in the manage channels menu. This allows you to rearrange your channel lineup, placing preferred sources like Xumo Play at the top for easier access.
Adding Channel Information
Adding to Favorites: Highlight a channel you frequently watch, such as Divorce Court, and press the options button. Select "Add to Favorite Channels." A heart icon will appear next to the channel, indicating it's been added to your favorites.
Accessing Favorite Channels: To view your favorite channels list, press the home button, exit the EPG, and then go to Settings > Live TV. Here, you'll find the "Favorite Channels" option, showing all your selected favorites.
Channel Management: If you need to adjust your channel settings further or if a newly added app like Xumo Play doesn't appear immediately, consider restarting your Fire Stick or re-installing the application. This can often resolve syncing issues and ensure all channels are properly displayed in your EPG.
By following these steps, you can effectively install and customize an EPG on your Amazon Fire Stick, enhancing your IPTV viewing experience by organizing and personalizing the channel lineup according to your preferences.
Feeling overwhelmed by your TV schedule? Here's the one place you need to check for EPG XML! Visit https://epg.best for more info!

In the swamplands of Florida there sits a forcefield that formed after a meteor hit the area. Separated from regular life by a kaleidoscopic shell whose circumference continues to expand, The Shimmer, as it’s called, has claimed the lives of every man who has gone inside — except one. Biologist Lena (Natalie Portman) lost her husband Kane (Oscar Isaac) after he was presumably killed during a military operation, but when Kane returns home with his memory gone and his health failing, Lena looks for answers.
She then joins an all-female research team consisting of a physicist, a geologist, a paramedic, and a psychologist, all of whom volunteer to enter The Shimmer in what amounts to a suicide mission. While inside, the women find a gorgeous world that defies nature — but the mutations taking place within threaten to destroy the women, their team, and eventually, the world.
4. Anon (2018)
Tumblr media
EW grade: (read the review)
Director: Andrew Niccol
Cast: Clive Owen, Amanda Seyfried, Colm Feore, Mark O’Brien,
Privacy and anonymity are luxuries afforded to no one in the 2018 British-American sci-fi thriller Anon. Clive Owen stars as Detective Sal Frieland, a troubled cop operating in a dystopia where the entire populace is implanted with an ocular device intended to record and track the movements of the people around them. The government’s transparency methods ensure that all criminal activity is caught on tape — but when a mysterious woman with no digital footprint (Amanda Seyfried) crosses paths with Sal, he realizes she might have a connection with a series of unsolved murders he’s investigating. Director Andrew Niccol tells EW “I always wanted to do a movie about privacy and the fact that there was never a war for privacy, because we already lost — we gave away our privacy without a fight, all for convenience.
3. Bird Box (2018)
Tumblr media
EW grade: B (read the review)
Director: Susanne Bier
Cast: Sandra Bullock, Trevante Rhodes, John Malkovich, Danielle Macdonald, Sarah Paulson, Machine Gun Kelly
Lights, camera, VPNaction! Elevate your movie nights with NordVPN. 🎥🔒secure your connection and Download NordVPN . Click now to unlock global cinematic thrills!
Sight becomes a handicap in Bird Box, a post-apocalyptic thriller where the enemy must go unseen, or else. Sandra Bullock stars as Malorie Hayes, a woman responsible for transporting two young children down a river while wearing blindfolds, a strategy intended to help the survivors avoid seeing the entities that attacked Earth five years earlier, and who cause those who look upon them to commit suicide. Jumping between their present journey and the past events that led Malorie and the children to this point, director Susanne Bier leans into the tension of the unknown and relies on her talented but eclectic cast to do the rest. Released the same year as A Quiet Place, and possessing a somewhat similar premise, Bird Box received less attention when it first premiered, but this sci-fi horror film is a great option for fans of both genres.
2. Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
Tumblr media
Director: David Slade
Cast: Fionn Whitehead, Will Poulter, Craig Parkinson, Tallulah Rose Haddon, Catriona Knox
As it turns out, the only thing missing from the British anthology series, Black Mirror, was options. In Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, the TV show gets a movie makeover, but with a twist: The film was shot in the style of a “choose your own adventure” novel, and viewers are able to customize their viewing experience through their scene selections. Centered around a young programmer named Stefan (Fionn Whitehead), Bandersnatch follows Stefan’s journey in developing a video game for a famous gaming company, a journey that puts Stefan under a great deal of mental and emotional stress, and results in one of ten main endings. Black Mirror is beloved for its eldritch and tech-focused content, and Bandersnatch keeps that tone alive, using the main storyline to explore themes like free will and mind control, even as the viewers’ choices drive the story forward.
Don’t Look Up (2021)
Tumblr media
EW grade: B (read the review)
Director: Adam McKay
Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett, Mark Rylance, Melanie Lynskey, Chris Evans
Lights, camera, VPNaction! Elevate your movie nights with NordVPN. 🎥🔒secure your connection and Download NordVPN . Click now to unlock global cinematic thrills!
As a comet sets its sights on Earth and prepares to wipe out human civilization, two astronomers (Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence) rush to warn the world of the impending collision — only to discover the world doesn’t really care. “Based on events that haven’t happened yet,” as the film’s trailer states, Don’t Look Up is a sci-fi satire that skewers climate deniers and government inaction in the face of scientific evidence pointing to looming catastrophe. Directed by Adam McKay (Vice, The Big Short), and featuring everyone in Hollywood from Jonah Hill and Meryl Streep to Timothee Chalamet and Ariana Grande, Don’t Look Up offers great jokes and fun cameos, but be warned: it’s not exactly light fare. Still, as far as sci-fi comedies go, this one is worth a watch — just don’t think too deeply about the implications of the film’s ending.

Hey, can I ask you how do you make your gifs?
It took a lot of trial and error, but here is what I have learned(so far cause I'm very much still going through it):
1. Photoshop vs Photopea
To make your gifs you can either use Photoshop or Photopea. I started off with Photpea because it’s cloud-based and doesn’t take up any space on your computer, but I've since moved onto Photoshop. Most of the tutorials you’ll find will use photoshop. So if you need help or want to learn a new skill it will be much easier to find that help if you are using Photoshop.
Photoshop
👆🏽They have ones out there for mac if you search for them on here, but I happen to have a Windows PC so this is the one I use🤷🏽‍♀️
Photopea
2. Downloading videos
I get most of my videos from either YouTube or torrent sites which have a wide selection of shows and movies for you to download.
Watch So Much
👆🏽Is my favorite torrent site. You can also stream shows and movies on their site well.
YTS
👆🏽Is another torrent site I use, but they only have movies on there.
Qbittorrent
👆🏽Lets you download torrents. I should note that If you torrent you'll need a VPN. Literally do not try and download any content from HBO or Disney without a VPN, because at least here in America, they will email you threatening to disconnect your internet😅
For VPN’s do not use the free ones. They don’t work. I’ve personally used NordVPN, but there are other ones out there like Surfshark, or ProtonVPN.
4k downloader
👆🏽Lets you download most things off of YouTube(as well as a couple other sites like TikTok). I say most things because they will not let you download those free movies(ex. Twilight) YouTube itself uploads onto its platform.
Occasionally someone will upload an old movie onto a private channel which you can download with no problems, but anything new or recent you won’t find on there.
You do not have to use a VPN to download videos from YouTube.
3. Resources:
Whatever you're trying to gif will probably be on the long side. So you're either going to need to trim it down to make a 2-3 second clip that you can then use to make your gif, or you can screencap your video.
Screencaping allows you to take a shot of each individual frame* which you can then use to make your gifs out of.
*I like to use anywhere between 40-90 frames per gif.
VLC
👆🏽This is a video player that lets you play your videos and create screencaps from them.
👆🏽This is a great post on how to screencap using VLC.
KMPlayer
👆🏽Is another video player/screencapping software, but I found their interface to be overly complicated
Clipchamp
👆🏽This lets you trim down your videos to create those 2-3-second clips. There are better video editing tools out there(like DaVinci Resolve), but if you have Windows for what it's worth, it’s simple and gets the job done 🤷🏽‍♀️
rPiracy
👆🏽Has links for torrents and things of that nature.
👆🏽This is a great post on how to make a basic gif using Photoshop.
👆🏽This is a great post on how to make a basic gif using Photopea.
👆🏽This user has a lot of tutorials so when you're ready to move onto more complicated gif making, use them as a resource.
4. Lastly, have patience with yourself.
GIF making is time-consuming and as I stated it takes practice. So don't sweat it too much and have fun🎉

Since you're an expert in Apple products, wondering if there's a way (or a decent way) to get VPN on an iPad I got for my birthday. It doesn't need to be fancy for downloading but if possible to watch streaming apps set up other countries. Thanks so much in advance and no worries if there isn't a good solution. I just trust you in this rather than searching the Internet at large.
"An expert" lol, thank you! I wouldn't call myself an expert but I try my best.
Anyway, most VPNs are very much compatible with iPads as well as iPhones! You will need to buy one for it to be useful; if you're just looking for streaming, than NordVPN or Surfshark are fine (those are not very reliable when it comes to torrenting though, so be careful).
I found this guide by Surfshark that walks you through setting up a VPN on an iPad. It sounds like Surfshark also offers an actual VPN app, which sounds like it would probably be the easiest and most efficient solution.

Hello! Firstly, thank you so much for sharing content, etc, about Ryuji's activities. As a new fan of his, your posts helped me a lot.
I really want to watch Ryuji's series/movies/musicals but I don't know where to start. Japanese isn't a problem and I don't mind paying to watch either as I'm very willing to support artists I like, but most sites are region restricted. Do I need to use a vpn? And which international payment options are available? I tried subscribing to a Japanese streaming site using mastercard before, but it wouldn't accept it for some reason...
I'm really sorry if this is a tough question, but I'm really hoping you could help me out!
Hiya! :D
Thank you for your lovely message! I'm glad that you've been enjoying my posts ♥
ABOUT VPN
Unfortunately, you are right about most official Japanese sites being region-locked. Personally, I think having a VPN installed is really convenient in this regard.
List of VPNs that you could try: SoftEther, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Cyberghost, Surfshark, TunnelBear
Please note that these are just suggestions and there are also other VPNs out in the market. Each VPN has its advantages and disadvantages, so do select the one that is the safest and most suitable for you :D
Also, some sites can detect VPN, so having one might not guarantee access to all sites.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Most Common Payment Options: Credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Paypal
Payment options depend on the site themselves as well as the options available depending on the region you're accessing the site from.
In some cases, even though direct payment doesn't work, the site might have alternative payment options that you can use. For example, Amazon Prime Video Japan also has the Amazon Gift Card option.
STAGES/MOVIES/TV DRAMAS
Ryuji has appeared in quite a few musicals, stages, TV dramas and movies over the years. His Japanese Wikipedia page provides quite the comprehensive list on his projects (and for projects with sequels, it also provides the sequence of the projects).
For his Japanese Wikipedia page, please refer to this link: HERE
Theater Complex
This site offers a selection of Japanese musicals/stages for online streaming. This is also one of the sites that offer live streaming.
The site can be accessed: HERE
DMM.TV
Similar to Theater Complex, this site offers a selection of Japanese musicals/stages for online streaming. Additionally, it also offers TV dramas and movies. It is also one of the sites that offer live streaming.
The site can be accessed: HERE
Amazon Prime Video Japan
This site offers a selection of TV dramas and movies for online streaming. Some of Ryuji's musicals/stages are also available here.
The site can be accessed: HERE
MUSIC
In addition to his acting career, Ryuji also has a substantial music career where he sings and writes songs. Ryuji is currently a member of two music projects: The Brow Beat and ZIPANG OPERA.
The Brow Beat
Produced by HAKUEI (PENICILLIN), this is his band project where he's the main vocalist and song lyric writer. Ryuji has also composed songs for the band.

ZIPANG OPERA
A group attached to LDH Records, it is a dance and vocal performance unit comprising of 2.5D actors, including Ryuji. He has also written song lyrics for this group.
Twitter: @/zipang_opera

Spotify: HERE
Apple Music: HERE
TikTok: HERE
Discord: HERE
BLU-RAY/DVD/CD
Many of Ryuji's musicals/stages, TV drama and movies are also available on Blu-ray/DVD. Additionally, he also releases physical singles/albums with both his music projects as well as with acting projects where he also sings.
Physical releases often include bonus content and/or physical bonuses that aren't available on streaming/download sites.
However, please double-check the region of the physical releases to ensure that the region matches your device. There are also devices that you can purchase to play physical releases that are incompatible with your region.
Examples of International Sites: CDJapan, Silkroad Store, Amazon, Animate International
For other sites that may not have an international shipping option, you can use a proxy service to purchase from the sites. For a suggested list of proxy services available for Japan, please refer to this link: HERE
Similar to the VPNs, these are just suggestions and there are also other proxy services out in the market. Each proxy service has its advantages and disadvantages.
Additionally, in some cases, using a proxy might be cheaper and more convenient than using the international shipping option offered by the sites, so do check out the option that might be more suitable for you :D

to everyone who wants to start torrenting or is new to torrenting:
use a vpn. it's not even Just a concern about getting smacked legally, but also a concern about your privacy in general. torrenting is peer-to-peer, aka you are directly downloading from someone seeding a file, not the original uploader. (personally i'd recommend ivpn but do a little research and decide on one yourself; here's a link to a good spreadsheet comparing a shit ton of vpns. bigger ones you see ads for on youtube all the time like nordvpn are actually pretty shit.)
bittorrent and utorrent also suck. they're basically adware at best and there are safety/privacy concerns at worst. qbittorent is where it's at.
SEED!!! always seed!!! do not be the asshole who does not seed!!! a general nice ratio to seed to is 1:1 but if it's an, ahem, more popular file, going 2:1 or even higher can be really beneficial. this depends on your internet ofc, but you can limit your uploads if you have data limits. again, torrenting is peer-to-peer. downloading without seeding after will severely throttle download speeds for everyone, especially with very popular files. do your part to prevent that!
research trusted uploaders/groups/sites. don't just willy-nilly download whatever you find first. it is VERY easy to get viruses and malware from torrenting if you are not careful and aren't using common internet sense.
finally, don't talk about shit in public. a lot of reliable, reputable sites have gotten shut down because some asshole made a viral tweet or tiktok. share links privately, go to subreddits, etc. doing your part includes not being a narc!
that's it! thank u!
