[NORAGAMI SPOILERS] shinki shiro is automatically immune to the doom brought by the god's greatest secret

would it really hurt/kill yato if the shinki hiyori gains her memories back and feels wrath over her death? the one who killed her was someone from the far shore, if she went to visit her family they would most probably see her (the father excluded, i think?), and obviously because she's been very passionate over yato's welfare.

i'm coming from how noragami portrayed kazuma's enlightenment because, apparently, once shinkis chose their master over their nearshore lives, their master wouldn't get harmed. it wouldn't be too far-fetched for hiyori to choose him, regardless of how much she loved her people at the nearshore (hell, she repeatedly chose him over nearshore people even way back). and to stregthen the point further, hiyori also has the upperhand because even during her nearshore life, she's already aware of the concept stipulating the god's greatest secret.

hiyori could essentially be saved by her own memories. i think what needs to be saved instead is yato. the places his guilt could bring him is scarier to imagine.

I don’t write a lot of yandere stuff on here. maybe occasionally I’ll write something but it’s hard to characterize characters with darker intentions

NOT WITH FUJISAKI/FATHER THOUGHH

He would make such a perfect yandere ESPECIALLY if we put in a reincarnated reader

For the sake of making things easier, imma refer to this dude as Father

Father had to have known you when he was once alive, before his death, to be attached to you

Whether you both shared a romantic or platonic relationship, his obsession with you is the same

Controlling and suffocating

Before his death, you guys traveled together

You’ve accompanied him wherever he went, always having that perfect smile on your face if yall ever faced a problem

He appreciated your positive attitude, seeing as he had a more nihilistic approach on most things

You accepted his views of the gods above, even if you didn’t quite share the same feelings

You fully believed things happened for a reason, even if they aren't ideal

He’d be extremely protective of you and would often shelter you from others as he believed you were a bit naive

He made it known that he didn’t like it when you spoke to people of the new village you arrived in

Besides himself and Kaya, who had saved you both from the nearby river, you wouldn’t get much interactions from others

To keep him placate, you would more often than not keep quietly to his side

Father cared deeply for both you and Kaya, enjoying the time you all spent together scouting for food

Everything had been fine for many months

That is until yours and Kaya’s untimely demises. Everything goes downhill from there

For centuries, he’d hold onto the memories and grudge your death had left behind

I think this would be when his more darker side comes out, that even after death, he holds you on such a high pedestal

Father would tell stories of you to both Mizuchi/Nora and Yato. They both knew to never interrupt him when he spoke of you, lest they wanted to feel his wrath

They both knew that even long after your death, he still searched the entire country for you

So imagine Father's shock when he sees your sweet face one sunny afternoon

He'd be coming back from school as Fujisaki had to attend, but would only stare starstruck at you from across the street

You had sat on bench looking over your notes from your classes and failed to realize the stare burning onto you

Consider your fate sealed after this honestly

He'd slowly yet surely integrate himself in your life, whether you wanted him to or not

You don't have a say anymore, not after you left him for so long

With no hesitation, he would drag you into the spirit world

You would have the sight to see beyond regular humans, to see the ayakashi hidden from human eyes

It terrifies you, especially because you cannot defend yourself against these monster

Which is why Father RELISHES whenever you beg him to protect you from the corrupted souls

He actually uses this against you whenever he can, if your disobeying him or if you're fighting back too much for his liking

Since you want to leave so bad, go ahead. He won't stop you. Let's see how far you can get though. After all, you're just a mortal on the verge of death without him

You'll die if he isn't around to protect you. He makes that known whenever you have to be without him.

Father would send Mizuchi to look after you whenever he can't

She follows whatever Father says, even scaring you a bit whenever he feels as if you're getting too confident

She pretends to be your friend, but I think reader is smart enough to know she'll always be on Fujisaki's side

Mizuchi enjoys unsettling you, always appearing from the darkness and whispering in your ear

She doesn't understand what her father sees in you, but if you're important to him she'll accept it, for now

After all, she does get quite jealous whenever Father's attention strays from her

He is honestly so cruel to reader im so sorry

He spends hours breaking you down trying to get you to remember your past

To remember everything he does

He will not accept the fact that you're a different person now. You are still the same from when he remembered you, and if he has to train you to behave the way you did before, then so be it

I feel like your only saving grace MIGHT be Yato or if you were a devoted follower to a God before being taken by Father

Yato might help you, just a little bit, but he won't outright help you escape

Unless you request his service to do so, then he's obligated to help you as a delivery god

But he doesn't enjoy messing around with anything regarding his father

He keeps his distance but pities you

If you were a devoted follower of a god though, you might have some 'angels' looking over you

Perhaps this god felt a looming sense of danger hovering near you and decided to take pity on you

You would be blessed with a protective item, maybe a necklace or a bracelet! The protective blessing put on the item you wear will protect you from any physical harm, it's honestly the best thing you could have at this point

It's your last hope to have faith and to stay strong

To not let this man crazed by time destroy and ruin you

Father enjoys seeing how you still have some fight left in you

He admires it dearly as it reminds him of the past

You may try as much as you want though, you're not going to be escaping him anytime soon

He'll make you remember him one way or another

He would TOTALLY take you with him whenever doing some dangerous shit

Like if Yato was planning on hunting him down, boom

You'd be there as a human shield for Father

Father knows Yato would never hurt an innocent human like you and uses it to his advantage to make dramatic getaways

Surprisingly, he makes a good, if not lasting impression. He takes a lot of pride in your relationship, and is incredibly doting towards you both at home, and in the presence of others. He’s perfectly polite but makes it clear that you’re taken— To strangers, the two of you may seem like newlyweds, with how close the two of you often are.

Your friends either absolutely love him or hate his guts— There’s really no in between, and you’re quite thankful they don’t know his true identity, as they’d probably never recover from the shock… Takemikazuchi, to his credit, is an incredibly skilled actor. He fills the role of playful and doting boyfriend quite well, and absolutely does his research on human customs. Sometimes, even you, almost forget his true identity— He’s just that good.

Going out on ‘public dates’ is something that you both find quite entertaining. You’re often invited to couple’s events and double dates, as it’s quite clear to anyone who’s seen you two together, that you’re in a dedicated relationship— Even those, you haven’t officially told, don’t take long to figure out the manner of your bond. ((“It’s the way you look at each other”, one person said— “It’s like it’s the only two of you in the world…” ))

When he first introduced you as his significant other, you were petrified— Dating someone such as himself was rather taboo, after all, and you were unsure of what to expect. You definitely didn’t expect to be gushed over and dubbed ‘Michi’s incredibly cute almost-human—‘ That was the last thing on the list of your expectations, yet somehow, you found yourself with a rather large group of self proclaimed ‘bodyguards’. At least, you wouldn’t have to worry about any creatures from the far shore snatching you up…

Somehow or another, you have convinced everyone that you’re engaged, and are just shy about admitting it— Even those that you’re incredibly close to, keep hinting at wanting invitations to the wedding, which completely puzzles you. After a certain point, you introduced each other to new faces, the responses you received changed to — You’re not married yet?’ or ‘Congratulations!!!’

TAKEMIKAZUCHI AND JEALOUSY (…)

He’s not the type to get jealous easily, as you’re both pretty clear about your relationship with each other— In fact, you can count the number of times you’ve seen him jealous on a single hand.

When he is jealous, however, you can tell almost immediately— He squeezes your hand a bit tighter and seems far more tense. His confident and easygoing demeanour shifts into one of cold indifference towards the others around the two of you. He’s not outright rude to others, which you greatly appreciate, but it’s easy to tell that he doesn’t want to be there—

Fortunately, he’s easily consoled, a gentle and reassuring squeeze of his hand, and a smile solely for him, and he’s perfectly relaxed once more—

He may or may not be a bit more affectionate than usual, after getting jealous, which you find incredibly cute and rather funny. He’s not at all the type to be insecure about things, but sometimes when he sees you close with others like that, he feels oddly left out—

Takemikazuchi’s way of saying he was jealous is by stating ‘I misjudged.’ It’s a phrase you’ve heard only a few times from him, and one that always leaves you fairly flustered… It’s not often that he lets down his pride enough to say something like that, and that he does so for you, leaves an incredibly warm feeling in your chest…

Straight up, I don't have a good opinion about Mr. Leonhardt xD To borrow a beautiful name coined by the Noragami fandom, he is simply a "trash dad" xD

I recommend a reading of this post by @distortedclouds, her take on Annie's father is very sensible and I agree with everything there; it also covers all your questions, honestly.

For me, I feel that no, he was not justified in what he did to Annie at all! That was a child he abused with his rigid principles and harsh training and terrible physical and mental stress. Annie's father, who well understood that he would be the only parent figure to a small child -- a blank canvas -- chose to be a source of pain and terror instead of being a loving father.

Sure, all the warrior-parents were terrible (with the exception of maybe Pieck's father, but then again we don't get much information about him; he seems nice based on the little we know though). We can say that pretty much all the Eldians in Liberio had their surroundings shape them into who they were. I won't argue with this, they were victims of propaganda and brainwashing and when you're so far removed from reality and fed only one type of story, you can become Karina Braun yourself. But here it's important to remember - Mr. Leonhardt was not someone who bought into any of that Marley Supremacy bullshit, Mr. Leonhardt was motivated by what he could get in terms of comfort and a good life in exchange for his daughter's life. When he adopted Annie, he saw her as an entry card, not as a child he would love.

As for what he felt afterward, I think Clouds explains it very well in her post, but I too am not inclined to feel like any of his apparent remorse was genuine. It's kind of like when an animal trainer who's been dealing harsh training to an animal over the years becomes accustomed to having it around, and when suddenly faced with the possibility of losing it, expresses some warmth. I'm not saying all of it was bullshit, but it certainly wasn't love. However that scrap of emotion was enough for Annie to latch on to and you can't blame her; starved for affection so long, it was the first bit of affection coming her way and she grabbed it.

I can't say for certain what kind of person he becomes post-rumbling. No human being is above good change, so it's possible he changes for the better. He might become a loving father, or he might not, but perhaps we should give him the benefit of doubt in either case.

That said my personal headcanon as to this is that parents who have never known the "good way" to raise a child do not become wonderful parents overnight. Sure, the Rumbling was a catastrophic event, the parents of the surviving warrior kids are no longer prideful about their status but simply hope for their children to return; would Annie's father finally realize the worth in her existence instead of the worth in her skills? Maybe. It's possible. Maybe he's a different man, after all these years. But again, personally, I like to imagine that even if he is a new person, there is still damage he deals to Annie, in different ways. Perhaps unwittingly. Unintentionally. Unconsciously. But he's never known Annie as a person, only as a tool, and then, it is damage, nonetheless.

also! i think it'll be super adorable if reaper sometimes just send crows for murder. i don't know if reaper's connection with crows is canonical, but it's such a wonderful detail i love. murder in this headcanon is a crow whisperer, he attracts crows and pets them and leaves them food. sometimes a crow or two has an affectionate gesture for him, and he knows that's from reaper. they cannot interact with each other eye-to-eye or in-person, but this form of communication is just enough.

Murder as a Priest(ess) of Death is absolutely canon to me I am injecting it into my bloodstream. Murder the crow whisperer is too, and like maybe the rats are how he communicates with Grimm, and like Grimm and Reaper adore Murder because thats one their favorite little mortals.

and sometimes they wish they could do more for murder with nightmare, the jealous possessive self proclaimed King that he is, but Murder is quite content with his altar dedicated to them and his offerings, and the crows and the rats. sometimes its a lot better company than what’s waiting for him in nightmares castle, and what’s waiting for him out in the rest of the multiverse.
