Sirius Black x fem!reader who meet again [5.5k words]
prompt: poly!wolfstar or just Sirius x reader in which they were friends with benefits but it was obvious they loved each other even though they acted like they werenât. Then, reader finds out shes pregnant and before telling them, they do something stupid. so reader runs away for a few months. When she comes back (only bc she had to for some reason) shes like 6-7 months pregnant
CW: secret pregnancy, angst, FWB to strangers to lovers, second chance fic, post war trauma, both Sirius and reader are meeesssssssssssyyyyy in this! I don't approve of what they've done but I understand it
âSoâŠsheâs coming back?â Sirius asked cautiously, focusing more on the condensation pooling on the coaster underneath his pint than the concerned gazes of his two best friends.Â
âWell, I donât know if sheâs coming back, but sheâll be here for Harryâs birthday.â James mollified, sharing a nervous look with Remus.
âRight.â Sirius murmured around a swallow; throat tight and dry though neither the pint nor the pitcher of water in front of him looked as though theyâd be able to help him with the matter.Â
âAre you going to be alright?â Remus queried, and Sirius offered him the most arrogant scoff he could muster; he missed by a long shot.
âOf course Iâm going to be alright.â He huffed. âWhy? Canât two friends see each other after five and a half months of silence?âÂ
âSirius-â James started, but Sirius carried on.Â
âSheâs the only one whoâs been silent, you know?â Though he knew that they did indeed both know. âIâve tried. Iâve tried reaching out.âÂ
âPads.â Remus offered consolingly, looking frustratingly like he was going to reach a hand out to Sirius as if he were some over tired toddler on the brink of a meltdown.
âStop, no I- Iâm fine, honest.â He insisted as he took a steadying breath. âI- you⊠talked to her, then?â
James and Remus shared another look before James allowed the segue.Â
âMostly by owl, but she has spoken on the phone with Lily a few times.âÂ
Sirius nodded as he considered this; considered the number of owls Sirius had sent that had gone unanswered - perhaps even unopened if the silence meant anything at all.
âSheâsâŠokay?âÂ
Remus let out a sigh as he shot Sirius a tight smile that looked more like a grimace. âSheâsâŠvague.â
âShe doesnât share a whole lot.â James agreed. âSays sheâs fine, things are good. Mostly asks aboutâŠall of us, Harry.âÂ
âSheâs still staying with that great aunt,â Remus added, âhelping her with the property.âÂ
âShe seeing anyone?â There was no point in pretending that wasnât the most pressing matter in Siriusâ mind; of course it was. And as angry and bitter as the idea made Sirius, it would have been his own fault, his own doing. He had no one to blame but himself.Â
And heâd have to live the rest of his life knowing he was the one who let you slip away - pushed you away - right into the arms of someone else.Â
âNot that sheâs mentioned.â Remus responded honestly; he couldnât say for sure that you werenât, but if you were, you clearly hadnât said anything about it.Â
âRight.â Sirius offered shortly.Â
âPads, IâŠwe would understand if it's too hard for you to see her. If you canât come-â
âDonât be daft.â Sirius scoffed deploringly. âIâm not going to miss my godsonâs birthday. If anyone should be missing it, it should be her; Iâve been here for the past four and a half months, sheâs the one who fucked off for good.â
âSirius-â
âI donât understand why you had to invite her!â Sirius shouted then, startling even himself when he realised how breathless he sounded all of a sudden.Â
James smiled at him sadly; Sirius wished heâd stop doing that. âWe wanted all of Harryâs uncles and his aunt to be there, SiriusâŠitâs important, yeah? WeâŠwe almost didnât get this chance.â
Sirius could feel a wicked migraine coming on; between talking about you, the close calls and the fact that the group of you were all alive following the war by nothing but chance, and the fact that the person Sirius was most angry with was himself, he downed the rest of his pint and flagged the server in favour of having to look at the pitiful gazes being shot at him by Remus and James.
Sirius couldnât tell if he was eager for Harryâs second birthday or dreading it. But like it or not, Sirius was going to be seeing you again.Â
It had felt like a good idea at the time.
It felt beyond foolish now, but it had felt like a good idea at the time.Â

âSirius, we just won. We just won, why do you have to leave now?â You practically begged as you followed Sirius through his flat.Â
âBecause if I donât get out now, Iâm going to be stuck here for eternity.â He all but spat at you as he shoved articles of clothing into his duffle rather haphazardly. You felt like grabbing the bag from him and folding them properly if the act wouldnât leave you feeling like you were aiding and abetting his abandoning you.
âBut what about James? And Remus? What about Harry? You fought this war for them, and they for you - we just got them back!â
âAnd theyâll be here when Iâm ready to come home!â Sirius shouted; turning to look at you with wild, red rimmed eyes.Â
âWhat about me?â You asked quietly, hating how small you sounded.
âWhat about you?â He asked; face falling painfully neutral. If you didnât know better, you would have thought he was occluding.Â
âIâŠI donât know.â You started awkwardly, shrugging one shoulder. âI thoughtâŠmaybe weâd have a chance now. To try?.â
âY/N.â Sirius sighed as he rubbed harshly at his eyes; entire being oozed exhaustion at having to have this conversation with you. âHave I not been entirely clear about what this was between us?âÂ
âRight.â You agreed quickly, biting roughly on your lip and looking anywhere but at him as he let his hand fall away from his face.Â
âItâsâŠitâs not you, doll-â but even your humourless scoff didnât derail him âIâm not the kind to settle down and be content I- I wouldnât be enough for you.â
âIâm not asking you for any more than what we have, Sirius-â
âYes you are.â
â-I just want you to stay.â
âThatâs too much for me.â He stated; his voice never raised though he may as well have screamed it at you. âI cannot sit here and play house, I cannot be that guy for you.â
âCannot or will not?â You asked quietly, regretting the question the second it came out of your mouth and he looked at you with nothing but pity in his eyes.Â
âY/NâŠâ
âIâm sorry I asked.â You let out with a chuckle as you harshly wiped tears from under your eyes.Â
âItâsâŠitâs not forever, yeah? I justâŠI canât see myself being happy hereâŠnot right now, at least; not for a while.âÂ
âWhere will you go?â Your voice grated painfully as it came out, but you tried to keep an air of nonchalance about you. You wouldnât look at him, but you could see his shoulders shrug helplessly.Â
âI donât knowâŠeverywhere. Anywhere.â
Anywhere was better than stuck here with you, apparently.Â
âI hope itâs nice, wherever it is.â You offered, and you found that you meant it. As much as it hurt to say, you really, really meant it. Sirius had been fighting and running his entire life, and he finally won. If he wanted to celebrate his victory by taking off to be that rich, vague uncle who popped by with lavish gifts every so often, who were you to deny him?Â
You loved him.
You were in love with him.
You loved him enough to let him go.Â

He had sent James a postcard a few weeks later. Turns out he started in the South of France; his family had a home there that had been left untouched by the war, and Sirius was going to start by figuring out what to do with the property.Â
And you? Well, you found out you were pregnant.Â
You suppose it was a small mercy that Sirius wasnât here to know; youâre sure it would have hurt more hearing him tell you he was leaving if there were two of you he couldnât find it in him to love. You would have hated it even more if he felt trapped into staying with you just for this.
But all this meant was that you couldnât stay, either.Â
You supposed that was alright, though; the life you wanted to build here was with Sirius. You loved your friends, but you had a little one to think about now, too.Â
You made up a story about a great aunt needing help tending to her property and wishing to be closer to your relatives now that you could be, now that it was safe. No one questioned it, likely because Remus had done the same following the war; moving back home to help his dad and ailing mother tend the property in whatever ways he could.Â
You found yourself a little cottage, you wrote to the boys and had the occasional phone call with Lily, and you grew.
It had felt like a good idea at the time.Â
But now you were almost six months pregnant and returning home for the first time since you moved to celebrate your nephewâs birthday with all of your closest friends, the love of your life whose child you were carrying, and none of them knew.Â
You wondered if you should even go, but the thought of missing out on sweet Harryâs second birthday that the lot of you almost never got the chance to see made your throat constrict with tears you refused to shed since the war.Â
You wondered if you should tell everyone before you arrived, but the thought of them all discussing you and your pregnancy without you being there left you feeling small and ashamed.Â
You wondered if you should tell Sirius, but you looked over at the stack of unopened letters he had sent to you in the past four months - the first thin, perhaps a postcard, the second and third were thicker, the fourth was by far the thickest (like he had drafted an autobiography that he wanted you to proofread for him), the fifth was similar to the second, whilst the sixth (the last) couldnât be more than one page - and wondered how the hell youâd even start that conversation after all this time.
Hey, remember me? Yeah, the bird who caught feelings during our friends with benefits situation that we both agreed would remain platonic amidst a battle for survival and then begged you to stay with no success? Well, whilst youâve been off probably shagging every beautiful woman across the British Isles, Iâve been pregnant. Right, with your child. How was France, by the way?Â
You swallowed around your gag reflex and groaned at your image in the mirror. You put on a pair of gingham pants with the baggiest band-tee you could find, planned on sucking in the best you could if anyone (when everyone) insisted on a hug and hoped to every deity that they all just assumed youâd been eating really well since the end of the war.Â
You smoothed the fabric over your bump one last time before you left - looking at the proof that, if nothing else, you were protecting more than just yourself, and you let that be enough - before you grabbed Harryâs birthday present and called for Potter Manor, throwing a fistfull of floo powder into your fireplace and travelling by way of the flames.Â
You could hear Harry squealing in delight in one of the adjacent rooms as you stepped into the floo reception room at Potter Manor; a smile taking over your face uninhibitedly at the sounds of the people you loved more than life itself, happy and celebrating.
How could you have gone so long without this?Â
âY/N!â Lily shrieked as she made for you, and you sucked in before returning her hug. âMerlin, you're glowing! Whereâs your aunt's place again?âÂ
âErm. Killarney.â You offered; not entirely untrue - you did have an aunt in Killarney.Â
âWell,â she let out with a breath, eyes turning a touch glassy as they darted across your face, âit seems that Irish airâs been for you.âÂ
You smiled back at your friend before pulling her back in for another hug. âIâve missed you, Lils.â
âDonât let it go so long next time, yeah? We can come to you, too; Iâm teaching James how to be a muggle, and Harryâs only had the odd burst of accidental magic yet. We could play the part in front of your aunt.âÂ
âIâd love that, Lily.â You responded earnestly.Â
âY/N!â James hollered then before you were being bodily tackled by the former quidditch chaser, a brief flash of anxiety at his hold around your stomach abating only when he relinquished his hold on you. âWhere in the sodding hell have you been!?â
âKillarney.â Lily answered for you.Â
âI love Killarney!âÂ
âHave you ever been to Killarney, Prongs?â Remus asked then, appearing in the door as he leaned against the archway.Â
âNo! But I love it there! I just know it!âÂ
âHey Moony.â You greeted, quickly accepting his open arms and breathing him in.
âWeâve missed you.â He murmured into your hair, and you couldnât help the traitorous hitch in your heart that he mightâve meant-
âUncle Pafoo!â Harry squealed, suddenly standing right underneath you.Â
âThatâs right, Haz!â The voice that haunts your dreams called out. âAuntie is here!â
âHullo, Harry!â You cheered as you picked him up, sucking in before settling on your hip. âHappy birthday, little dude.âÂ
âAm two!â He announced as he held up four fingers.Â
âYou are two! Way to go!â You laughed. âIs everyone here?â You asked the room, shooting Sirius a tight smile so you couldnât be accused of hostility when your heart stuttered for an entirely different reason.Â
He looked tired - a bone deep tired that no amount of sleep could rectify - and the bags under his eyes seemed to be chronic. But he was still so beautiful; his hair had grown slightly longer since the last time youâd seen it, the last time youâd run your fingers through it, the last time youâd brought sheers to it, and he donned more than a few new tattoos if the few you could see were enough to go by.Â
You had to look away.
âRegâs going to be by after work; his part-time student called in sick so he needed to be there to close the shop himself. Thankfully, theyâre only open in the morning on Sundayâs.â Remus explained kindly.
âGood, itâll be nice to see him.â You offered, and the room fell slightly awkward.
âUncle Pafoo, aeroplane?â Harry asked then, and whatever exhaustion seemed to be plaguing Sirius vanished as he beamed at his godson.Â
âAbsolutely, little man!â He agreed, holding his arms out and taking Harryâs weight from you.
âDo you want something to drink, Y/N? Wine? Beer, Cider? Juice? Water?â James rapid fire, causing Lily to groan.Â
âWe just got her back, Potter. Do try to control yourself.âÂ
âWater would be great, Jamie. Thank you.â You laughed, following the group into the open concept kitchen-to-living room.Â
Save the fact that you and Sirius seemed to be doing acrobatics to avoid each other, you were almost stunned at how easy and natural being back here felt. Regulus returned and the two of you shared friendly jibes, Lily caught you up on all of the drama at the Ministry, James strong armed you into agreeing to join them for their next pub quiz night, and Remus said that your old professors all wished you well.Â
You loved your cottage - the home youâd built for yourself and your little one - but you found yourself feeling homesick for here, and you hadnât even left yet.
You were leaning on your elbows against the kitchen island, watching Sirius and Regulus pretend to be knights in shining armour as they fought off a fire breathing dragon (Harry) to save the princess (James) when Remus appeared beside you and mirrored your stance.Â
âItâs not the same without you, you know?â He murmured then.Â
âBut they seem to be alright.â You responded simply, and Remus allowed the two of you to fall into silence for a few beats.
âHow far along are you?âÂ
You stood up straight and turned to stare at him in horror, only to see him smiling kindly at you.Â
âHow do you-â
âLycanthropy - I could smell it on you.â He said with an embarrassed wrinkle of his nose. âI knew Lily was pregnant before she did.â
You shushed him and looked over your shoulder to ensure no one else could hear you.
âCome.â He said with a sigh, gently taking you by the elbow and ushering you out of the sliding doors to the back yard and closing it behind the two of you.Â
âRemus-â
âIs it his?â He cut you off; his face held no judgement though perhaps just a touch of concern. For you or his best friend/virtual brother-in-law, you werenât sure.
âYes.â You whispered, not bothering to clarify who he was talking about; you both knew.Â
Remus simply nodded as he looked you over. âIs that why you left?â
âHe left first.â You hissed petulantly.
âHe left you, but you left all of us.â Remus countered somewhat sternly. âBesides, I didnât ask about him; is this why you left?â
âYes.â
âWhy?âÂ
âBecause, Remus!â You shouted, tears flooding your vision as you turned to look at him. âBecause he didnât want to be here. He didnât want this, he didnât want me. I wasnât going to force him to come back just because⊠just because.âÂ
âDonât you think he should have been able to make that choice for himself?â Remus asked gently.
âHe chose! He did choose! He told me he couldnât play house, he told me he couldnât be this person for me. I loved him enough to accept that. I loved him enough to let him go.â
âLoved?â Remus asked with a tilt of his head. âPast tense?âÂ
âRemus.â You groaned. âPlease.â
âHe came back for you, you know.â Remus pointed out. âHe left you, you left us, but he came back for you.âÂ
âStop it.â
âItâs true, Y/N.â
âAnd so what if it is?â You nearly sobbed. âSo what if he did, Remus? What can I do? I canât go back in time and change my mind, I canât go back and fix this. He made choices, I made choices, and here we are.âÂ
Remus heaved a sigh and looked at you sadly. âI don't think either of you realise that your choices donât have to remain permanent; there can be an expiration date on them.âÂ
You were catching your breath from your mini temper tantrum when you heard the glass door slide open, both you and Remus turning to see Sirius standing there almost shy - far shier than youâd ever seen him before. Â
âJust talk to him? Okay? You..donât have to tell him now, justâŠtalk to him.â Remus whispered before heading towards the door, clapping Sirius on the back before disappearing back into the house.Â
âHey.â Sirius offered cautiously after a few beats of silence, coming to stand beside you as the two of you looked over the railing of the patio to the rest of the manor grounds.Â
âHey.â You returned dumbly, clearing your throat before continuing. âYouâŠyou look good, Sirius.â
Sirius scoffed, and you could feel your shoulder rising before you saw him smirk at you - if not somewhat sadly - cutting you a playful glare from the corner of his eye. âDid you take up lying there in Ireland?âÂ
You let out a breathy half-laugh. âIâm not lying.âÂ
âThen you need glasses. I look like shite.â
âYou look tired.â You amended.Â
âIâm exhausted.â He agreed, and the two of you lapsed into silence.Â
âYou look good, though.â He continued. âHealthy.â
You hummed in agreement. âFunny what not having to run on rations and broken hours of sleep on military cots does for a person.â
âWhy havenât I heard from you, Y/N?â He blurted then, turning his entire body to face you.Â
âSirius, I-â
âEveryone else has. Youâve spoken to Lily on the phone. James and Remus have gotten letters. Even Reg got a postcard for his birthday.âÂ
âIâm sorry.â Was all you could manage to say.
âI wrote to you.â He continued. âLetters, a lot. Did you get them?â
You nodded your head yes shamefully.
âDid you read them?â
You felt your heart splinter at how hopeful and heartbroken he sounded over it. You felt like scum of the earth when you shook your head no, and he let out a sigh.
âI guess that makes me feel a little bit better, then.â He said as he lit a cigarette and took a deep drag.Â
You found yourself taking a step away from him when you asked âwhy does that make you feel better?â
He let out a humourless laugh that forced smoke from his lips. âAt least now I know that my begging for a second chance, begging you to come home, professing my love for you isnât what kept you away.â
âSirius-â
âI messed up, Y/N.â He declared earnestly. âIâŠI was fucking scared, terrified. Iâd spent so much of my life living with one foot on the threshold of hell that after the war, I didnât know how to live amongst the undead.â
He took a moment to catch his breath as if heâd run all the way here just to tell you something. âAnd I ran. I bolted, IâŠâ
âYou left.â You finished for him.Â
âI left.â He agreed. âI⊠I didnât know, Y/N.â
âDidnât know what?â You asked as you choked back tears.
âDidnât know what I had, or what I wanted. Or that I had everything that I wanted.â
âAnd you do, now? You know what you want?â You asked, and a look of determination painted his features as he met your gaze head on.
âFor my entire life, I had never known what family meant, so I wasnât even aware that Iâd created my own with all of you until Iâd risked it all. I was so sure I didnât want to be like my parents that I never realised I may actuallyâŠwant to be a parent someday. I was so sure I didnât want to be my father that I never realised I actually did want to be a partner someday. I was so certain Iâd never know what true love felt like that I didnât even realise I had it right here all along with you.âÂ
âSirius-â
âI messed up. I left. But what I donât understand is why you did. Or why you stayed away.â He took a step towards you with his cigarette long forgotten in one of his hands, the ash threatening to burn his fingers before you plucked it and stubbed it out on the stone railing. He barely flinched. âWhyâd you go?â
âI didnât want to sit around and wait for you, Sirius. I- it hurt, I was hurt. And then-â
âIâm sorry.â He offered quickly, but you shook your head.
âIâm not telling you this for you to be sorry, I just-â
âI came back for you.â
âBut it wasnât just about me anymore, Sirius!â You shouted then, and you watched his brows furrow before his face fell in horror.Â
âYouâre seeing someone.â He asked, though he phrased it as more of a statement; like heâd been expecting it.
âIâm not seeing anyone, Sirius.â You sighed.
âThen whyâd you leave? Whyâd you stay away?â
âBecause Iâm pregnant.â You blurted, and Sirius fell silent. âIâm almost six months pregnant.â
âSix-â He started, eyes falling to your stomach still hidden behind the baggy article of clothing before you smoothed the fabric over your ever rounding bump. âSix months. SixâŠâ
You let him do the maths in the head as he stared hard at your stomach like he was sitting in divination and it was a crystal ball that might just give him the answers if only he stared at it long enough.
âItâs mine?â He finally concluded.
âYes.â You whispered.
âItâs mine. Youâre pregnant, itâs mine.â He murmured, before his eyes met yours again. âYouâre pregnant with my child?â
âRight.â You agreed, and he crumpled to a heap on the floor.Â
âSirius Orion Black,â Sirius heard Remus hiss, clearly hovering somewhere over him, âI swear to Godric if you do not wake up and eat some of this godsdamned vanilla cake you bought, your brother is going to skin you alive.âÂ
âItâs true.â James agreed from somewhere on Siriusâ other side. âHe actually ran to the store when he found out you bought vanilla because he knew Remus wouldnât eat any of it. Remus is going to get his chocolate cake, and youâre going to get egged.âÂ
âShut up.â Sirius hissed as he scrunched his eyes closed. âFuck.â
âHow do you feel, mate?â James asked rather jovially as he clapped him roughy on the shoulder.
âLike hell.â
âWhyâs that?â Remus joined in.
âBecause I was in the middle of a dream and you sods woke me up going on about cake.â He muttered as he opened his eyes, realising then that heâd been propped up on a number of cushions in one of Lily and Jamesïżœïżœ spare rooms.
âSâhe awake?â Lily whispered, and Sirius craned his neck to see you and Lily poke your heads into the room.
âOh my gods.â Sirius breathed as he sat up, likely far too fast for someone who fell unconscious mere moments ago. âOh my gods, youâre actually here?âÂ
âDid you hit your head, mate?â James asked as he prodded at Siriusâ head, causing Sirius to swat his arms away as he shifted towards the edge of the bed.
âYouâre here.â He whispered as you slowly made your way into the room.
âIâm here.â You offered cautiously, eyes darting around at your oldest friends like there might be some secret threat lurking in the room.
âYouâre pregnantâŠâ He tried then, punching the air right out of Lily and James who both spun to stare at you in shock.
You smoothed the fabric of your shirt over your midsection again to expose a very obvious (now that everyone could actually see it) baby bump.Â
âOh my gods!â Lily and James chorused, causing Remus to snort.
âYou knew, didnât you!?â Lily accused Remus who held his hands up in surrender.Â
âOnly when she walked in, and not a second sooner.âÂ
âWith my child.â Sirius continued, and you nodded at him.Â
âY/N.â Lily winced. âYou-â
âYou sodding scared me!â You shrilled then, grabbing one of the throw pillows James had dumped onto the ground to make room for Sirius and swinging it at him.
âI scared you!?â Sirius shrieked right back, much to the delight of Harry who started banging on the throw pillow that had landed beside him.Â
âI thought I killed you!â
âOh, well Iâm terribly sorry that finding out the woman Iâve been in love with for years and pining hopelessly over for months - who was missing for all intents and purposes, may I remind you - is pregnant with my child happened to be a little shocking.â Sirius sneered sarcastically.Â
âWell I only went âmissingâ because the man Iâve been hopelessly in love with for years and pining hopelessly over for months took off an-â The abrupt end of your statement nearly gave the room whiplash as you cut yourself off mid sentence and stared at Sirius like youâd never seen him before.Â
âWhatâŠwhat just happened?â James whispered carefully.
âYears?â You whispered then, and Sirius hated every version of himself that deigned to let you go without knowing just how loved you were.
âProbably when we were still just cosmic dust.â Sirius smiled sadly. âIâm sorry I didnât always realise, Iâm sorry I didnât make sure that you knew.â
âI take it to guess there isnât an aunt in Killarney?â Lily offered then, smiling kindly at you when you turned your attention towards her.
âNo, I- I think there actually is an aunt in Killarney, I just donât live with her.â
âWhere do you live?â Sirius asked eagerly, wondering if you could hear it in his voice or even see on his face just how desperate he was to know everything about you.
âNear Tintagel.â You offered abashedly as Remus slapped his hand on his thigh.
âYou minx!â He scolded you. âYou lived basically across the channel from me this whole time!â
âI hope itâs nice, wherever it isâ You offered him then, smiling through your tears as Sirius swallowed around his bile threatening its way up his oesophagus.
âI hope itâs nice.â Sirius blurted suddenly, and Sirius thanked the heavens for Remus John Lupin who seemed to understand that the conversation delved beyond the need of an audience, scooping Harry up and closing the door behind Lily, James, and himself to give you two some privacy.Â
âItâs nice.â You offered wetly. âItâs quiet.â
Sirius hummed in acknowledgement. âIn Tintagel, near Merlinâs cave?â
You laughed, which saw Sirius smiling. âIâm not right in Tintagel, just outside. My neighbours are mostly sheep.âÂ
âDoes it have a picket fence?â
âTo keep the sheep out of my garden.â You nodded with a smile.
âFlowers; lots of them.â Sirius deduced, you nodded again though Sirius watched your smile falter.
âYouâd probably hate it.â
âAre you there?â He asked quickly.
âWell, usually, yes.â You offered, and Sirius shrugged easily.
âSounds as though it might be my favourite place in the world, then.âÂ
The next breath that left you shuddered on its way out, and Sirius finally stood and met you in the middle of the room; close enough to touch but not daring to. He hadnât earned that right yet.Â
âTake me with you?â He all but begged then, and your face crumpled in misery.
âSirius, I donât want you to follow me because you have to, I-â
âI donât have to though, I know I donât; I know youâd never make me.â He assured you then, lifting a hand but pausing to wait for you to nod at him before he placed it on your upper arm. âThe letters, Y/N, I- Iâve been looking for you for months.â
A sob tore through you as you lowered your head, and Sirius allowed himself to catch it in his free hand.Â
âI donât want you to feel bad; Iâm not telling you so that you feel bad, love.â The endearment falling off his tongue so easily now that he had you in his arms. âBut I need you to know that I want you - any of you, all of you - and have for a very long time.âÂ
âItâs justâŠyou said-â and Sirius knew exactly what he said; he had played that conversation over and over and over in his mind until he found himself sick over it more than once. But we waited for you to tell him anyhow; heâd always wait for you. âYou couldnât settle down and be content, you couldnât play house; you werenât that kind of guy.âÂ
âI know, doll. I know.â He whispered. âIâŠI didnât think I was capable of it. I didnât think I deserved everything I wanted and I knew that you deserved better. That you deserve better.â
âBut?â
âBut Iâd be happy to spend the rest of my life trying to prove you otherwise; trying to give you everything you deserve.â
âSiriusâŠâ You sighed, and Sirius could see your walls cracking. âIâŠIâm-â
âTake me home? Please?â He begged then, words interrupted by a sob of his own. âTo Tintagel, to Killarney, to bloody fucking Azkaban or the bottom of the sodding ocean, I donât care where it is just as long as itâs with you, please. Please.â
Your hands landed on Siriusâ chest and he was sure you could feel his hummingbird heart beating under your fingertips. He only hoped you knew how it beat for you.Â
âPlease bring me home?â
James didnât know if he could consider this a success or not.Â
His motivation was not singular; it was a âhit two fairies with one gobstoneâ sort of scenario, so to speak. Was his son turning two? Indeed he was! Was James throwing a party for said sonâs birthday? Youâre damned right he was. But was it also a really good excuse to force two of his idiot best friends into the same room again? Absolutely.
Except James seems to have gotten slightly more than he bargained for; Sirius falling unconscious in his childhood backyard, you sobbing into Lilyâs shoulder out in the hallway as he and Remus tried to bring him back from the dead, Remus sneering at a slice of birthday cake like it personally offended him and Regulus threatening to defend his boyfriendâs honour, and - apparently - a new niece or nephew coming in the next three-ish months.Â
But when he looked over to see you and Sirius emerging from the spare room - both of your faces tear stained and puffy from the grief and torment you no doubt put yourselves through - hands intertwined between your bodies and your hand resting protectively over your growing bump, and a spark in Siriusâ eyes James had thought he lost in the war but now realised he only lost when he lost youâŠ
âŠyeah, James figured he could probably consider this a success.

Lucanis Romance (Pt. 2)
This is an alternative take on finishing his companion quest (confronting Illario after saving Catharina). In this version, the whole "I made paella and your favorite" drink did not happen.
Things have felt different between them. Especially after Spite somehow dragged Rook into Lucanisâs subconscious and helped them align on a goal.
Nothing had really happened before that. Just the occasional lingering glances. Hands brushing against each when nobody could see. Overprotectiveness during battles.
But with all that was going on, it was almost impossible to find quiet moments. To reflect. Or to talk.Â
And with all her confidence, Rook didnât dare bring the topic up again. Nor make a move.Â
But she felt closer to him. Especially after witnessing all his inner troubles, his regrets.Â
But was that enough? How would you name this? Having feelings for someone, feeling close to them and yet⊠nothing happening?
What exactly did I want to happen?
The thought caught Rook off guard.
Guilt was starting to build up. They never said they were in a relationship after all. Lucanis didnât owe her anything.Â
But at the same time⊠there was a sense of frustration?
âRook! Are you listening?â Teia said, waving her hands.
âAh.â Rook responded, finally snapping out of it.
She was in Trevisio. They were getting ready to save Catharina and set Illario straight.
Teia and Viago were preparing, but Lucanis was nowhere to be seen.
Apparently he would join in later.
âDonât worry, Lucanis knows the plan. Heâll join you at the mansion. Are you ready to go?â Teia asked again, patting Rookâs shoulder.
âYes, sorry. We will get Catharina out of the mansion and then weâll confront Ilario at the gathering.â Rook said, mostly to summarize it for herself.
âWhat are you going to do with Ilario when all of this is over?â
Teia and Viago chuckled, grabbing their daggers and facing the exit.
âIâm sure our first talon will know what to do.â
And with that, they both vanished.
â
It didnât take long to sneak through the mansion. The team had initially agreed to only send out Rook and Lucanis - the less attention they attract the better.
But where was he?
Rook noticed one of the hallways having more guards than the others. With a dagger in hand and magic in another, she swiftly took care of them within seconds.
Until she felt a presence behind her.Â
Instinctively, she elbowed them in the stomach, using the opportunity to turn around and push them against the floor. Her mouth dropped when she was finally hovered above him, her knees digging into his arms, locking him in position.
âNot a bad move, Rook.â Lucanis said, coughing between his words.
âAre you insane? I could have killed you!â Rock angrily whispered, immediately putting her dagger away.
âPlease, Rook. I let you tackle me. Why miss out on an opportunity to get overpowered by a beautiful woman? â he answered, a chuckle between the coughs.
It should have made her happy. The small flirts between them.
But instead, it just reminded her about her own frustrations. The impatient feeling, the guilt.
Without responding, she got up and offered him a hand. Pulling him up.
âRook?â Lucanis asked, concerned. He had expected a matching response.
âWe should focus on the mission.â Rook responded, perhaps a little colder than she intended.
âWhere do you think your grandmother is? I already checked the east wing, but no luck so far.â
It felt like he was catching on, but the missionâs urgency kept him from investigating further. Instead he started leading the way, casually sharing childhood memories whenever he saw something familiar.Â
He hasnât been home for so long - and yet she couldnât bring herself to fully enjoy his stories. Once Catharina had been saved and Ilario confronted, Rook would return to the Lighthouse and spend some time alone in her room. Clear her head.
That sounded like a good plan at least.
âShe must be here.â Lucanis said, stopping in front of a door not too far from his childhood room.Â
Rook motioned to get ready, just in case.
Once the door opened, a cane started swinging around aggressively - until Lucanis grabbed it.
âMy grandson!â Catharina gasped in disbelief.
Rook stepped away for a bit, not wishing to interrupt their reunion.
âYou are mad as us. Why?!â Rook suddenly heard in her head.
Spite??
âAnswer! It isâŠ. distracting him!â Spite responded telepathically.
Rook wasnât sure how Spite was talking to her. Based on how Lucanis was acting, he didnât seem to be aware of it either.
Iâm not mad. Iâm just trying to focus.
âHurt. Longing. Is it loneliness? No. It smells like⊠disappointment!â Spite continued on.
The last thing Rook wanted was a conversation about her feelings. With Spite. She imagined a mental block around her head - it must have worked because the last thing she heard was a disapproving growl from Spite. And then it was quiet again.
âThank you, Rook! For returning my grandson.â Catharina said gratefully, looking over to Rook.
âHe did half of the work. We should really bring you somewhere safe.â Rook quickly responded, rejoining them.
âNonsense. Now go and stop Ilario, I wonât be far behind.â Catharina responded, waving her cane around again.
The expression Lucanis made, said enough - there was no way to convince Catharina to change her mind..
â
âYou must feel relieved having your grandmother back. Any plans for Ilario?â Rook asked, as they were approaching the gathering.
âI donât know. But one way or another, he needs to pay.â Lucanis said, approaching the giant door.
One could hear Ilarios' speech from the outside. Monologues about how he was grieving Catharinaâs death. How Lucanis was a shame to the family and the crows due to becoming an abomination.
And that he was taking the title of the first talon for himself.
âWhatever happens, Iâm with you.â Rook said, preparing herself for battle.
âI know. Letâs finish this.â
And with that, the door was kicked open.
Everything happened so fast.
Ilario didnât hesitate to attack Lucanis on sight, backed by venatori.
The crows, unsure who to believe, were fumbling around.
But like many other fights, this one was about to end quite fast.
âThey will never accept you. Youâre an abomination!â Ilarios screamed at Lucanis, almost like a child who wasnât picked for a group activity. Most of his venatory allies had fallen by now.
âAre you sure youâre not stuck with a demon yourself, Ilario? Even Spite sounds saner than you do right now.â Rook said loudly, currently finishing off remaining venetario on the opposite side of the hall.
Embarrassment was plastered on Ilarios face. The sheer audacity of being compared to a demon. And despite having little backup left, he used whatever remaining blood magic he had to teleport himself past the crows.
âYou will pay for this insult!â Illario yelled, appearing in front of Rook with a dagger in hand. Ready to stab her in the chest.
Growing up with the shadow dragons taught her well - especially on how to deal with crazy individuals that were about to stab you. There were different ways to make them stop, even for a few seconds. They just need to believe they won.Â
So Rook didnât defend herself. Didnât use any magic spells.
Instead she positioned herself in a way, so that the dagger would end up between her armpits. Her clothes were already torn at a few places, covered in blood. It would be hard to tell whether she was really hit or not. And a delusional blood mage wouldnât know the difference either.
To dramatize the moment, Rook let out a terrible cry that melted together with Ilarioâs victory laugh.
And multiple people shouting in the background?
Rook couldnât focus too much on it, as she was busy taking a few steps back. Holding the dagger close, while she fell on her knees. And then to her sides, closing her eyes.
âLet this be a lesson for anybody who insults Ilario-â
The sound of something smashing against the wall echoed across the hall. Followed by a demonic snarl.
âThey. touched. Rook! They die!âÂ
That must be Spite.
OhâŠ
Rook realized that she never discussed her cinematic move with the others. Neve was used to it. She had witnessed it too many times during their missions.
She hated it. But she couldnât deny how it made enemies feel overconfident. Prone to making mistakes. Better to catch off guard.
But not something to do with unaware participants.
When Rook carefully opened her eyes, another body flew against a wall. Ilario was still standing next to her, looking in another direction. His entire body tensed up in shock. Apparently Lucanis/Spite had been brutally throwing any Venatory standing in their way against the stone walls.
âCousin, you need to calm down. They are already dead!â Teia yelled at Lucanis, but Viago held her back.
The final stand was Lucanis/Spite finally reaching Ilario, grabbing him by the throat and hurling him across the hall. The impact was strong enough to make Ilario break a few pieces of furniture in the process.
âNot. Enough. He needs to⊠suffer!â Lucanis and Spite shouted, as if theyâd merged.
He quickly kneeled next to Rook and despite his pupils not being visible, his narrowed eyebrows showed enough concern.
âIâm fine.â Rook whispered, already feeling bad for the entire thing.
âNo! He hurt you. He hurt us!â Lucanis/Spite responded back, hissing.
He was going to kill them all. If he hadnât done so already.
âI think you already punished them well enough. Here, look.â Rook said, grabbing the dagger and pulling it out.
âSee? No blood. Your cousin just has a terrible aim. He thought he won and that made him arrogant, distancing himself from his allies.â Rook explained, though she wasnât sure how much lucanis/spite caught in their frenzied state.
âNo⊠blood.â Lucanis/Spite whispered back.
During all this, Viago and Teia used the moment to tie Ilario down. All the other venatori were dead due to⊠impactful wall slammings.Â
âYouâre disgraceful, all of you. Itâs not enough heâs an abomination, but he also kneels?! How the crows have fallen!â Ilario continued to shout, but his defeat was imminent.Â
Rook slowly lifted herself off the ground, kneeling next to him.
âIâm sorry. I should have told you about this little⊠stunt I use from time to time. Neve hates it too. I wonât do it again and-â
Lucanis pulled Rook against him, wrapped his arms around her as the purple glow in his eyes started fading away. Burying his face against her neck.
âNever again.â he growled.Â
Rook squeezed his arm as a confirmation. The embrace ended with him taking her hand and raising Rook back to her feet with him.
All the yelling subsided when Catharina finally entered the halls. Even Ilario finally closed his mouth.
Rook didnât dare speak. As the situation calmed down, Teia and Viago complimented her on the dramatic stunt. Thanked her for all the help sheâs given.
Rook politely nodded. She could feel Lucanis staring at her. Avoiding any instances of aggravating him further would be wise.
That, until Catharina announced him as the first talon. At this point, he was swarmed by crows. People who wanted to start building connections. Others who just wanted to share a celebratory drink.
Getting through the crowd would be impossible.
âIâm going home. Could you tell Lucanis when you catch him? I think I have worried him enough for one day.â Rook said to Viago.
He nodded and then sheepishly smiled at Rook.Â
âWhat? What is it?â Rook asked, confused.
âTake care of my cousin, Rook. Enjoy your night.â he responded, slapping her shoulder in a friendly manner.
Rook shrugged and started heading towards the Eluvian. She looked back once more and managed to make eye contact with Lucanis. With hand motions, she quickly pointed towards the Eluvian and then waved goodbye. Before he could respond, Lucanis was swarmed by another wave of crows.
â
When Rook made it to her room, she wanted to throw herself onto the bed. What a day it was.
But these clothes had to go.Â
She quickly slipped out of the blood soaked fabric that was already torn in a few places. Doesnât look like it can be repaired.
She left it on the floor and moved to the baths. It was so late at night, she doubted anybody was going to notice.
After a good cleanup, a few bruises became visible. Nothing fatal. But some were going to stick around for a while. Especially the deep purple ones.Â
Too lazy to dress up, Rook grabbed a robe and headed back to her bedroom. But she was hungry. There was no time to eat during the ordeal. Maybe the kitchen had something? Even just a snack.
She quietly snuck her way into the kitchen. Perhaps she could gather a few cookies and eat them in bed! Nobody would notice. It would be her little secret. It was also doubtful that Lucanis would already be back from his celebration.
âRook.â
She froze. Her hand was so close to grabbing a cookie.
âOh! Youâre back already?â she responded, turning around. Caught in the act.
Lucanis was sitting on the couch. A cup in his hand, presumingly coffee.
âYes.â he responded.
âI was actually going to come visit you in your room. After I had finished my drink.â he added.
âVisit me so late at night? Whatever for?â Rook responded as a joke.
But he didnât acknowledge it. Instead Lucanis took another sip of his coffee.
âYouâre wearing a robe.â
Suddenly Rook started feeling very shy.Â
âAh, yes. I was covered in blood and wanted to check for bruises. Nothing bad, luckily.â
There was tension. And she wasnât sure in which direction it was going to go.
The sound of her heartbeat made it difficult to focus.
âI⊠should go. Get out of this bathrobe.â she added and slowly took a step back.
âA good idea.â he said, taking the last sip. And then placing the cup back on the table.
âYou can then show me the bruises.âÂ
It took a moment for her to register what he said.
That, until he stood up and started walking towards her. Rook took another step backwards, only to find herself clashing against the kitchen table behind her.
It was too late now. Any means of escape were blocked. Lucanis stood in front of her, resting his hands on both sides - pinning Rock against the table.
âI thought you were dead.â he finally said.
Lucanis didnât shy away from eye contact. Rook looked down instead, ashamed. At least until he gently lifted her chin.
âI was going to kill them all.â
His hand slowly moved to her cheek, caressing it.
âIâm sorry. I didnât mean to worry you.â she whispered back.
âYou didnât think I would react?â Help me understand, Rook.â
âNo! Itâs just⊠I didnât think you would react like that. I didnât expect it. I wasnât sure where I stood with you, so I decided to focus on the mission and do my thing.âÂ
âAnd has today cleared your doubts?â he asked, his thumb brushing against her lips.
She didnât respond. And somehow she already felt breathless.
âMierda.â
His lips clashed against hers. It didnât take long for Rookâs to wrap her arms around his neck. Her hands grabbing onto him. Lucanis lifting Rook and placing her on the kitchen table, keeping her close.
It felt needy. Urgent. Especially when his tongue was starting to dance with hers, moaning into her mouth.Â
He grabbed onto her waist, pressing himself against her. From all the movement, Rookâs bathrobe was starting to slip and any exposed shoulders were bitten, licked or kissed.Â
What they didnât realize was all the noise. Every moment caused a plate to fall. Cutlery clashing against other metallic objects.Â
They finally froze when somebody yelled âWhat is going on down there?!â
After that, silence. Followed by quiet chuckles between them.
âI know itâs not honorable, but we could pin it on Manfred.â Rook suggested, fixing her robe.
âHmm⊠No, Iâll tell them the truth.â Lucanis smirked, kissing Rook on the forehead and giving her space again.Â
âAnd what is that? Sorry, I was fooling around in the kitchen?â Rook asked.
âFooling around is a temporary notion. I intend to keep you for a long time.â
Lucanis smirked again, witnessing Rook blushing.Â
âNow go rest. Iâm still planning on inspecting your bruises sometime soon.â
Before Rook could respond, Lucanis had returned to his room.Â
Falling asleep would be difficult after such a promise.

In the dimly lit confines of the abandoned building, everything felt electrified with tension. The air was thick with unspoken words and burning desire, and we constantly danced around that invisible wall that separated our true feelings and personas. I could feel the heat radiating off him as he glared at me, those stormy blue eyes sparkling with irritation.Â
âWhat the hell do you think you were doinâ? He growled, making my heart race. Heâs always been dominating and assertive, the kind of man who didnât just want me, but claim me. I rolled my eyes, trying to maintain my composure, but the tension was unmistakable.Â
âI didnât do anything, Daryl.â I shot back, my voice dripping with defiance.Â
With one swift movement, he closed the distance between us, his presence overwhelming. It sent a shiver down my spine. His body pressed against mine and I could feel every hard muscle beneath his leather best.Â
âYou were reckless and couldâve gotten killed.â He hissed, breathing warm against my ear.Â
âBut I didnât.â I smirked, pushing back against him, feigning innocence. I could see the flicker of raw desire in his eyes. He was losing control and he hated it.Â
âDamn it!â He snarled, grabbing my wrists and pinning them against the wall above my head.Â
âYou think this is some fuckinâ game?â The heat from his body wrapped around me, and my breath hitched as anger and lust stirred within me.Â
âThatâs rich coming from you.â I scoffed.Â
âYouâre the one always beinâ reckless and shit.â He narrowed his eyes.Â
âBetter to be reckless than have a hot and cold personality.â His smirk faded from his lips, replaced by something so primal it made my body tremble.Â
âYou wanna know whatâs cold, sweetheart? How long Iâve wanted you? How many nights I spent dreaminâ about tearing your clothes off and makinâ you scream my name.â He said, his eyes darkening.Â
My heart raced as he slammed his lips onto mine, a blend of frustration and need. It was messy and breathless, tongues tangling in a passionate dance that ignited the flame burning in both of us. The taste of him was intoxication and I melted against him. Everything faded away but the way he was making me feel.Â
âTell me you want it.â He growled against my lips, his voice thick with need.Â
âI want you.â I gasped. The last of his anger melted away, replaced by an overwhelming hunger. With a growl he lifted me effortlessly, my legs wrapping around his waist as he backed me against the wall, his body covering me completely. There was no more teasing, nor more attempting to drive each other mad. This was pure lust, raw and unfiltered.
âIâm gonna show you just how much I want you.â Daryl promised. His hands roamed possessively over my curves, squeezing and groping through my shirt. I let out a soft moan, arching into his touch as his hardness pressed against my core.Â
âYouâve been teasinâ me for weeks.â He growled, nipping at my bottom lip.Â
âWalkinâ âround in these damn shorts, flaunting this sexy body. You knew exactly what you were doinâ, didnât ya?â I bit my bottom lip, looking up at him through my lashes.Â
âMaybe I just wanted to drive you crazy.â His eyes darkened even more than I thought possible.Â
âWell, mission fuckinâ accomplished.â In one swift move, he ripped open my shirt, sending buttons flying. I whined at the cold air hitting my sensitive nipples.Â
âFuck, look at youâŠâ He breathed, his large hands cupping my breasts, thumbs circling my pebbled nipples.Â
âGonna mark up this pretty skin, let everyone know youâre mine.â He ducked his head, dragging his tongue along the swell of my breast before drawing one nipple into his warm mouth. I tangled my fingers in his hair, holding him close as jolts of pleasure shot straight to my throbbing clit.Â
âPlease, Daryl⊠need you so badâŠâ I whispered, riding my hips against the bulge in his jeans. He released my nipple with a wet pop, smirking up at me.Â
âNoy yet. Gotta make you beg for it like the needy little slut you are.â He kept me pinned with his body, reaching down and palming my ass, kneading it.Â
âBeg me for it, baby, let me hear how badly you need my cock.â I let out a desperate whine as Darylâs skilled fingers dug into the soft flesh of my ass.Â
âPlease, Daryl, need it so bad.â I begged shamelessly, too far gone to care about the desperation in my voice.Â
âIâm yours, all yours! I need your big, hard cock stretching me open, filling me up until I canât take it anymore!â He chuckled, the sound sending shivers down my spine.Â
âThatâs right, youâre mine now, and Iâm gonna use this tight fuckinâ cunt however I want.â He punctuated his words with a sharp smack to my ass, the stinging pain blending deliciously with the pleasure. I yelped and writhed against him, my pussy clenching around nothing. He quickly ripped my shorts off but left my panties on.Â
âFuck, youâre drippinâ all over my cock like a good girl. Bet you look so pretty split open on my dick, tits bouncing as I pound into ya.â He captured my lips in a bruising kiss, swallowing my needy whimpers. His tongue pushed into my mouth, claiming me thoroughly. I moaned into the kiss, my hands fishing his hair, pulling him impossibly closer.Â
âIâm gonna fuckinâ ruin you.â He promised as he broke the kiss.Â
âOnce Iâm done with this sweet pussy, ainât no one gonna fuck you again.â He pushed my panties aside and pushed into my slick folds. I cried out as his fingers found my swollen clit, rubbing tight circles around the sensitive nub.Â
âOh God, yes!â I moaned, my hips bucking wildly against his touch. He worked me mercilessly, his fingers pumping in and out of my clenching hole. My wetness smeared over his fingers, coating them.Â
âFuckinâ hell, youâre so wet.â He growled.Â
âSuch a dirty girl, gettinâ this turned on where anyone could walk in and see what a desperate slut you are for my cock.â I could only moan, lost in the haze of pleasure.Â
âPlease, Daryl, I need more.â I begged, my nails digging into his shoulders.Â
âI need your big, fat cock splitting me open. Fuck me senseless. Want you to fill me up until dripping with your cum!â He smirked, wickedly, pulling his fingers from my dripping cunt.Â
âBeg me for it, baby. Tell me how badly you need my cock.â His fingers trailed teasingly along my slit, barely dipping inside before pulling away.Â
âCome on, slut. Beg me like you mean it. Tell me how much you need my cock wrecking this tight little pussy.â I whimpered and squirmed against the wall, desperate for more friction.Â
âPlease, Daryl, I need it so bad! I need your huge cock fucking me so deep Iâll feel you in my throat⊠ruin me, please fuck me like your personal fucktoy!â I begged. He chuckled, giving me ass another firm squeeze.Â
âThatâs more like it. Such a good little cock slut, ainât ya? Canât wait to stuff you full.â He reached down and unbuckled his belt, freeing his massive dick from his jeans. His thick and heavy head was already glistening with precum. I licked my lips hungrily eyeing his impressive length.Â
âFuck, baby, youâre huge.â I purred, reaching out to wrap my hand around his shaft.Â
âCanât wait to feel it splitting me open.â He groaned as my hand wrapped around his throbbing cock. I squeezed and stroked his impressive length.Â
âFuck, thatâs it.â He moaned.Â
âGonna give this greedy little hole what it needs. Gonna fuck you raw, leavinâ you drippinâ with my cum.â He promised, grinding his cock between my folds.Â
âYes, please fuck me!â I whined, my voice echoing off the walls. Darylâs massive cock prodded at my entrance, the thick head nudging insistently at my hole. I pushed back against him, trying to force his cock inside.Â
âPlease, Daryl, I need it!â I begged, tears of frustration falling down my face. His hips slammed forward and buried himself to the hilt. I screamed in pleasure, my pussy clenching around his thick length as he stretched me out.Â
âSHit, this pussy was made for my dick⊠fits like a fuckinâ glove.â He set a brutal pace, pounding into me with reckless abandon. The sound of skin slapping against skin echoed through the room, mixing with my moans and cries.Â
âTake it, you filthy little slut! Fuckinâ take my cock!â He snarled, his fingers digging into my hips hard enough to leave bruises.Â
My mind went blank. I was overwhelmed by the intense pleasure and pain of being so thoroughly claimed. All I could focus on with the delicious drag of his cock against my inner walls. The way he filled and stretched me so perfectly. I pushed back to meet his thrusts, my pussy greedily sucking him in with each snap of his hips. His thick cock drove into my tight cock with brutal force.Â
âFuck yeah, this pussy is mine.â He grunted, punctuation each word with a sharp thrust.Â
âGonna fuckinâ make you addicted to my cock.â I could only moan, my body surrendering to the relentless pounding. My pussy clenched around him, milking his length.Â
âIâm yours!â I moaned. The wet squelching sounds filled the air, mixing with the slapping of his heavy balls against my clit. I could feel my orgasm building.Â
âPlease! I wanna cum on your cock!â I pleased desperately, my voice cracking with need.Â
âFill me up with your cum! I wanna feel you throbbing inside me when you blow your load!â His thrusts grew erratic, his cock piling and twitching inside me.Â
âGonna pump you full, fuckinâ breed this tight cunt. Make sure youâre carryinâ my cum.â He snarled, his grip on my hips tightening. With a guttural groan, Daryl buried himself to the hilt and exploded inside me. His thick cook erupts and floods my pussy with his cum. I screamed, feeling him cum triggered my own orgasm. He smashed his lips to mine to keep me quiet, my cunt spasming around him, milking him for every last drop as I shook in his grasp.Â
Once we each calmed down from our orgasms, he set me down on my shaky legs. He looked down and my shirt and sighed. I looked down and giggled, there was no way I could go outside this building with a destroyed shirt. Daryl knelt and dug through his bag for a few moments, before standing back up and handing me one of his shirts.Â
âYou brought an extra shirt?â I asked, confused and he shrugged.Â
âYou donât?â He asked and I rolled my eyes.Â
âNo, we werenât supposed to be gone that long, just a day. Why would I bring a shirt?â He shrugged and shoved it into my arms.Â
âJust fuckinâ put it on.â I laughed and took my broken shirt off before pulling his over my head.Â
âMind handing me the shorts you tossed somewhere?â He tossed them at me. I finished getting dressed and turned to find Daryl smirking at me.Â
âWhat?âÂ
âYou look good in my clothes.â He said and I blushed slightly.Â
âYou seriously blushinâ over that? I just fucked you against the wall and that makes you blush?â I narrowed my eyes at him.Â
âShut up! Man, you sure know how to ruin a good moment.â I grumbled, he pushed me against the wall once more.Â
âSorry, baby, I could always make it up to ya.â He smirked. He leaned down and captured my lips in a soft kiss.Â
âMaybe later. The groups probably looking for us.â He groaned but nodded.Â
âFine, but Iâm fuckinâ you again when we get back.â I laughed and shook my head.Â
âSure, baby.â

When the kings headless body fell to the ground with a heavy thud all of his remaining soldiers dropped their swords in surrender, and in hopes they would be speared, Y/n told them to collect their fallen men and go home as her own did the same. Just as they were getting ready to leave a horse galloped towards them, the rider removed his helmet before getting down.
Y/nâs lips puffed out when she came face to face with the son of the king she had just beheaded.
âQueen Y/n.â Placing his helmet under his arm, he shocked her by getting down on one knee. âA pointless war that you won gracefully, a war that I did not want nor a lot of the men. I must admit despite your beauty I did not want to marry you, my father was not happy that I also chose to marry for love and not for an alliance. I do not want wish for anymore conflict between our two kingdoms, two kingdoms that always had a friendship long before our fathers were born. I hope we can put this behind us and continue working together.â
âThe woman that you love, have you asked for her hand?â
He looks shocked by her question but smiles and shakes his head. âNot yet, why?â
âStand up.â He stands and gives Carlson a look of confusion. âWhen you marry, I would like to be invited. As you said todayâs battle was pointless and like you I hope our kingdoms can go back to how they were.â
The prince now king bows his head and smiles at her, she returns the gesture, before walking up to Carlson and Bucky.
The dowager Queen watched alongside Larissa as Y/nâs armour was lifted off of her body showing the bloody clothes she had been wearing underneath, both women flinching when her clothes were taken off her showing the large dark bruises decorating her skin. The maesters examined her thoroughly - annoying her more than anything - before they were happy with themselves that all she had on her was bruises and not anything worse.
âMother I have told you-â
âI do not care what you have said, you are my daughter. I worry about you.â
âI am twenty one years old now, you do not have to wash my hair!â
âStarlight.â
âMother.â
âI am washing your hair and that is final.â Y/n pulls a face at Larissa causing her to giggle. âDid she just pull a face?â Pulling another face, one with her eyes crossed and her tongue sticking out, Larissa giggles once more.
âI have done no such thing mother.â She puts on the most innocent voice she can muster, she pulls another face.
âStarlight, you do realise that there is a mirror in front of you, do you not?â
Making eye contact with her mother through the mirror the face she was pulling drops. âOh.â For the first time in such a long time her mum truly laugh, which causes her heart to flutter, she missed her mums laugh so much - it was so infectious that always caused her to laugh along when she was younger.
Finally getting out of the bath and dried, her mum along with Larissa helped her get dressed, both her mum and Larissa talking about the feast that was being held as celebration for the army coming home victorious.
âI am going to see Storm before the feast.â Y/n informed her mum.
âPlease do not take long.â
âI will not, do not fret mother.â She winks at her mum as she leaves her chambers, rolling her eyes as her guards fall into step a few paces behind her - still not use to them following her around.
Rounding the corner to the stables her eyebrows furrow together at seeing her sister standing there with the stable boy, both standing there with their cheeks tinted red, both smiling bashfully at each other, both not realising that Y/n standing there with an amusing grin on her face - that was until she cleared her throat and startling the pair causing them to jump apart.
âSis- My Grace.â
âAnnalise. Liam.â
âMy Q-Queen.â
âHow is Storm?â
âHe is well. There is no injury to him and I made his stall very comfortable for him.â Liam told her. He was often overlooked and belittled by those around him all because he had a stutter - but never when he spoke about horses - and wasnât educated but Y/n didnât care of those things, he was strong, smart when it came to horses, plus he was the only person other than herself and Carlson that she trusted with Storm.
âHas he eaten yet?â
Walking over to Storms stall she chuckles when Liam says. âI fear I have been spoiling him my Grace.â
âYou always spoil him Liam.â
âI know.â
âAnna⊠why are you here?â
âI- well- I thought I would come and check up on the horses.â Annalise stuttered at first then sounded like she was trying to not only convince her sister but herself, she knew that her sister wasnât stupid by any means though she hoped she wouldnât humiliate her in front of Liam.
âRightâŠâ Pressing a kiss to Storms nose she lets him go back to eating the sack full of carrots Liam had put into his stall, she turns and goes over to her younger sister. âI bet Liam appreciates your visits.â Raising her hand to her sisterâs hair, she smiles and winks. âBe sure to get all the hay from your hair before you come inside so mother does not see.â
âI-I-â
Twirling a piece of hay that she removed from Annaliseâs hair she chuckles, both Anna and Liam going bright red, Y/n winks at the two before leaving, only to stop at the doors to the stable. âMake sure you invite Liam to the feast.â
The music playing in the great hall was being drowned out by men retelling their story of the battle that was being dubbed as the pointless battle, stories of their heroics having those who wasnât there hanging on to every word they heard. Y/n sat at the head table with Carlson to her right and Bucky to her left laughing at the tales they were hearing, some of the men dramatising their experiences having them sharing looks of humour.
âTo our Warrior Queen!â Gus shouts standing on the table he holds his goblet up high, smiling as more men stood up doing the same.
The hall erupted in chanting. âTo our Warrior Queen!â making Y/n blush from the attention.
Standing up she raises her own goblet and smiles. âTo all of you. To all of our fallen men. To our victory.â As everyone cheers she winces whilst watching their ale slosh out of their cups and drench the ground.
As everyone got more drunk and fuller on the food that was on the tables, Y/n leaned further into Buckyâs seat - their hands holding each other.
âWant to go for a ride with me?â She chuckles and rolls her eyes as he chokes in his ale. âDo not be dirty!â
âI am sorry.â He chuckles. âYou do mean a horse ride, right?â
âYes!â
âLead the way then.â
Of course the only people who notice them both leaving is Carlson, Larissa, Steve and Sam but none of them make any comments as the two left the great hall hand in hand.
Theyâre both silent as they go towards the stables, the cold air biting at their skin though neither makes a comment or the attempt to cover up, when Storm sees her his hoofs beat against the ground - his way of telling her that he was happy to see her.
âHi my pretty boy.â She presses a kiss to his nose quickly before going over to Winter. âIf you did not realise, she is yours now.â
âShe is?â
âYes. Plus she likes you. I have a new saddle being made for you.â She replied as she led Winter out of the stall.
âYou do not have to do that for me.â
âOf course I do, you are to be my husband soon that is unless you do not want to mar-â Bucky quickly cuts the rest of her words off by pressing his lips against hers. The thought of her thinking that he didnât want to marry her caused his heart to ache, all he wanted was to marry her.
âYou cannot get rid of me even if you wanted to.â
âNot yet.â She winked, her skin starts to tingle as he lets out the most infectious laughter, she makes a mental note to make him laugh more. âLetâs get these saddles on these babies so we can go.â
And they do, helping each other with the saddles Bucky helps her with her dress as she gets on top of Storm, Bucky had no idea where Y/n was taking him but he was happy to follow her wherever she would go, following her like a shadow. They were mostly silent as they traveled to the unknown location, as they began to slow down Buckyâs eyes widen at the scene.
A large rectangular pond that was big enough for three fountains to be placed inside, on either side of the pond were large marble statues of past kings and queens of Astoria, on each corner were lit lanterns high above making Bucky able to see everything clearly - he wondered who was lighting them at night until he saw the guards surrounding the peaceful garden.
âMy Queen, my Prince.â One of the guards lowered his head as he greeted them.
âHello, how are you?â
âI am well, how are you my Grace?â
âGood. I am well. You have had something to eat, right?â
As Y/n spoke with the guard Buckyâs attention went to the row of white roses to the side of him, as he looked around he noticed that there were rows and rows of the beautiful flowers surrounding the area. He ever so slightly ran his fingers across the soft white petal, he was so lost in thought he didnât realise Y/n was standing behind him.
âMy great-great-great grandfather had white roses planted here for his wife as they were her favourite flowers.â
Jumping slightly he made sure that he didnât pull the petal off before turning his head to the side to look at her. âThey are beautiful.â
âCome, I will introduce you to them.â Holding her hand out she smiled as he was quick to put his hand in hers. Leading him over to the first statue that was at the head of the pond, she looked up at them. âHis name was Henry, she was Mary. Love at first sight, they said, according to the story is that Mary died on the birthing bed, a son was born. Henry was wrecked by grief that he handed his son to the maid and locked himself in the room with Mary, it is said that they could hear him talking to her and replying as if she was speaking to him, it took them a whole month for them to finally convince him to leave the room and for them to finally bury her.â
Buckyâs eyes widened at hearing the story, his heart broke for the king that was way before his time, he loved his wife so much that he didnât want to leave her though she had left the world - leaving him and their baby son. He couldnât imagine what or how he was feeling when the realisation hit him that he needed to let his wife go.
âHe had a statue made of her, it was placed here as this was the place they first met - the place that she told him that she was with child. His Hand told him to marry so he could have more children but he refused, and as time went on he went mad as he always spoke to her even though she was no longer by his side, they soon gave him the nickname The Mad King. A week after his son turned eighteen Henry ended his life by throwing himself out of the window, the same window that was in the room where Mary had died, the same window that faces the pond. The first order his son made as king was for a statue of his father to be made and placed next to his mother.â
âThat isâŠâ
âA sad beautiful story.â
âYes. Do you think that he did it to be with her?â
âI do.â Placing a kiss to the hand of Mary then of Henryâs she bowed her head. Bucky doing the same as soon as she moved away, following behind her when she moved to another statue. âIt seems as if history repeated itself when Henryâs son, John, lost his wife on the birthing bed, a son was born and John became mad but this time he killed innocent people. He too jumped out of the window.â
âWhy? Why did he kill people?â
âNobody knows, some say that he wanted revenge but for what, I do not know.â
âWhat about others?â
âThey never said other than that he was a king that should not have been.â
âWhy?â
âWhat kind of king kills his own people? Whether or not he was wrecked with grief he should not have done that.â
Once again she kisses the hands of the statues before moving onto the next one, giving the story behind her relatives, each one more tragic than the rest it seemed. When she gets to her grandparents a small smile made its way to her lips.
âMy grandmother was an orphan, born a bastard to a whore and a farmer, she was ten and my grandfather was twelve when they met. As soon as she turned fourteen he asked her hand in marriage which obviously was very scandalous - a prince falling in love with a lowborn, shocking.â She chuckled. âBut he was the third born child so his father allowed him to do as he wished, my grandfather had just turned thirty when the kings guard came for him - bringing him back to the castle, two weeks later he was crowned king. The people knew of my grandmothers background yet did not care, they loved her as her main focus was for the townspeople, making sure that none were left to starve as those before her did.â
Wiping a fallen tear she smiled sadly. âMy grandmother died before I was born, I was told that the people cried as her coffin went through the kingdom, for weeks everyone wore nothing but black only to be lining up to watch as my grandfathers coffin go by. They say he died of a broken heart which I believe.â
âY/nâŠâ
âPeople whisper that my family is cursed thanks to the king that should not have been, the whispers got louder when my father took the throne.â
âWhy?â
âMy father was not the oldest.â
âSo why was he king?â
âMy uncle stepped down from the throne, the people believe that he was too scared of the curse, but that was not true, my father wanted the throne because of the power that comes with it.â Casting a glance at the statue of her father Bucky swore he could see the hatred in her eyes. âHe threatened my uncle, he told my uncle that he would have his wife and children killed if he went ahead with the coronation, my uncle loves his wife and children more than he loved the idea of being king so my father was crowned.â
âWhere is your uncle now?â
âThe king that never was, as the people call him, is a farmer. Last I saw him was when my father died, though he is old he still acts as if he is a child.â She chuckles before pressing a kiss to her grandparents statued hands and bowing. âYou know my mother, her story is not tragic aside from her husband getting a second wife.â
âI notice that there is not a statue of your stepmother, why is that?â
âIt is currently being made, my father did not want her to be in the family garden as he did not love her, though we did not see eye to eye she is the mother of my sisters so therefore she is my family.â She looks up at him and grins.
His lips instantly widen as he smiles at her. âWhat?â
âI am the Queen.â
âThat you are.â
âWhich means that my very own statue will be made.â
âIndeed.â
âYou are to be my husband.â
âWhich I cannot wait for.â
âWhich means that a statue of you will be made and placed next to mine.â
Bucky chuckles and nods. âI suppose.â
âDo not fret sweetheart, I will make sure they capture your beauty.â
âThank you, I was worrying for a moment there.â She laughs, stopping when an unattractive snort leaves her, even in the moonlight he can see her cheeks heat up in embarrassment but to him she had no reason to be embarrassed, she was the most perfect woman he had ever had the blessing to lay eyes on let alone know.
âI am sorry, that was not lady-â
âIt was perfect, just as you are.â He gently cups her face with his hand and rests his forehead against hers. âBut do remember that I will be bringing this up in the future.â
âYou would not!â He presses a kiss to her forehead before walking away, putting his hands behind his back and he starts whistling, pretending to look at the rest of what the garden has to offer, forcing himself not to laugh as he hears her follow him repeating. âYou would not.â
Dresses upon dresses covered her bed. Servants rushing around. Food being left untouched on the table. Her sisters were talking whilst helping each other with their hair. Her mother sat on the chair dabbing her eyes with a lace handkerchief watching her oldest daughter be helped with her wedding dress.
When all was finally ready they stood outside the chapel to wait for the doors to open, she took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled in hopes to get her heart beat to slow down - for the first time in her life she was scared.
Arm in arm with Carlson she walked slowly down the aisle to where Bucky was waiting, he was right in saying her dress was made fit only for a queen and that he would have the largest smile on his face⊠as well as tears glistening in his eyes.
Before she could even realise what was being said or done, they were being announced as man and wife. She beamed up at him before their lips touched in a passionate yet short kiss, the whole chapel erupting into cheers.
The people cheered and cried at seeing their Queen and King coming out of the chapel, throwing flowers along with shouting their prayers and wishes. Carlson watched from the side and had to bite his lip to stop himself from laughing at seeing the dazed look on his best friend, his queens face.
Y/n only seemed to snap out of it when Bucky stood and moved around the table with Steve and Sam coming up behind him, his hand resting on top of the handle of his sword he smiled softly at her and got down on his knee.
âI pledge my love and loyalty to you. Always. My Queen.â
Steve and Sam knelt down and in unison say: âI pledge my loyalty to you. Always. My Queen.â All three stand when she smiles and nods.
The rest of the night goes by in a blur, she does remember dancing with Bucky then Carlson, she remembers seeing Annalise dancing with Liam, her mum and Winnie dancing together whilst George danced with her youngest sister.
But most importantly she remembers smiling throughout the whole thing, slightly dreading the ache in her cheeks that awaits her tomorrow but it didnât matter as she was now a married woman to a man she loves.
When it came time for the bedding ceremony, Larissa along with her mother and maids took her to her chambers, as they undressed her she could hear Bucky arguing with the maester outside - something along the lines of that no one would be witnessing their coupling. Even her mother went out to argue about it not taking place which she was ever grateful for.
When everyone left and Bucky came in it helped that she could see that he too was nervous for what was about to happen, he twisted his ring around his finger - the same ring she had placed on him only a few hours ago. âY-your mother called me king. She scares me a little.â
âYou are now the king, and why does she scare you?â She chuckled.
âDo- have you gotten used to be called queen?â
âNo and I do not think I ever will.â
Taking a step forward he stops. âI am meant to be your prince consort.â
She does the same. âI am Queen and you are my husband.â
A playful smile on his lips as he takes another step forward. âBut that is not how it is done.â
Doing as she did before, she copies him. âWhilst my sisters were learning what it is to be wives and how to do their jobs as women I was on the training ground fighting.â
Bucky squints his eyes as he steps closer to her. âMeaning?â
âMeaning I have never done things correctly.â She says as she gets closer to him, the gap between them now smaller.
âI noticed but people will not be happy.â
âPeople were cheering our king meaning that they see you as you are. Their king.â
Bucky closes the small distance between the pair and smiles down at her. âAs you say, my queen.â
âNow tell me why my mother scares you?â
âIt was when she was telling the maester off, they were adamant of being in the room with us.â
âShe knew I was nervous and promised me that she would make sure they would not be in here, I am sorry.â
Cupping her face with both of his hands he shakes his head. âDo not be sorry, I did not want them here either.â
âThank you.â Her eyes dart between his to his lips, and lightly licks her own. âDo- should- IâŠâ
âWhat is it, my love?â
âShould we⊠you know?â Gods she felt so stupid, sheâs been on so many battle fields, sheâs been struck by an arrow, sheâs been slashed with swords and beaten, yet here she was stumbling over her words.
Rubbing his thumb across her cheek he smiles softly at her. âOnly if you wish to.â
âI do!â She blurted blushing when he chuckles. âI mean I would like to.â
Bucky doesnât say anything, no, he dips his head closer to hers and kisses her, slowly at first as he was trying to savour the moment, smiling when she starts taking the lead - the kiss growing more heated. When he feels her tug at his clothes he instantly understands her silent words, without breaking the kiss he starts to undress himself, shivering slightly as her hand comes into contact with his bare chest, his stomach clenching as her hand starts to trail downwards.
Laying her down on the bed he stood in between her legs and stared down at her - grinning when she started to blush. âYou are the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on.â
Both were wrapped in each otherâs arms breathless as the smell of sex lingered in the air, Bucky traced invisible patterns on her bare skin as she played with the ring on his finger.
âBucky?â
âYes, my love?â
âCan we do that again?â
Buckyâs laugh bounced off the walls as she looked up at him with the most innocent eyes she could muster, and when she gives him the cutest pout he had ever seen, who was he to say no to his queen?
He felt slightly bad for those still awake in the castle as neither one of them made any attempt to conceal their moans.
Only slightly.

Pairing: Yeosang x reader Word Count: 925 Genre: fluff, attempted humor, friends to lovers Warning(s): swearing Synopsis: Friendships came and went as time wore on but you were always someone constant for him. Someone who unwaveringly stood beside him. Someone he grew to depend on and care for deeply.
Feisty
A gentle breeze swept through the trees as it continued to pour down on the tent. All three of you had huddled inside and watched the cold rain touch everything in sight. It was freezing and there wasnât anything to do other than to just watch the day go by. Yesterday, San had said he wanted to take you guys to see the stream he had found on his walk today but it seemed the weather had other plans for you guys today.Â
The temperature continued to drop, the colder it got, the more you needed heavier weighted blankets. âHot chocolate would be really good right now.â You had turned around on your back looking back and forth between the two boys, hoping one of them would get the hint and make you some.Â
San was completely confused, âHow do you expect to have hot chocolate when we canât even keep a fire going right now?âÂ
You pouted in response, âI was hoping one of you would figure something out.âÂ
Yeossang laughed a little at your pouting before he threw a blanket over your back, rubbing it gently, trying his best to warm you up. âIâll make you some when the rain lets up. But until then, youâre going to have to make the blankets work.â San furrowed his brows, this was a little odd of him to do. Heâd never done that for San, nor did San really expect him to. It was just weird that he was doing that for you. Never had he known Yeosang to do something like that. Something was different. Heâd kept a mental note to ask about it later. Right now, was not the time to ask.Â
You sighed, âShould we play cards or something?âÂ
âDid you bring any?â San was thoroughly convinced you didnât have any considering the recent silly question you asked.
âYes, smart ass. I brought a deck.â You sat up and began ruffling through your backpack. You pulled them out, âSee? I brought them! Don't doubt me.âÂ
San rolled his eyes, âI have to. Sometimes you lack common sense.â You glared at him. He was being catty just because of his own situation and he had been for the past two or three days. It was starting to get on your last nerve. It wasn't your fault he chose a crappy person, why were you getting the brunt of the attitude?
Yeosang cleared his throat, trying to get your attention. âOkay, instead of trying to kill each other, let's just play a friendly couple rounds of cards.âÂ
After a few rounds of San losing and getting his ass handed to him, the rain had finally stopped, the fire crackled as the two of them sat by the fire with you asleep, bundled up warmly. San watched as Yeosang played with the burnt pieces of firewood with a stick he'd found. The night was peaceful, a good end to such a long and dreary day. Crickets chirped announcing their presence, wolves howling somewhere far off. Owls hooting away, peaceful.Â
San's intuition was nagging at him. It had been since the whole back rubbing incident today. San had been watching Yeosang the whole day. How he responded to you, how he looked out for you, how he took care of you. It was starting to become clear to him that there was definitely something more between the two of you. The little flirtatious comments towards one another was a little more than what his bond with Yeosang allowed. They seemed less like a bromance and more like a genuine attraction toward one another.Â
San had been debating bringing it up for the past 20 minutes, it was starting to get on his nerves just thinking about it. He wasnât sure if the two of you had always been just a flirty duo or if he was just imagining things because of his recent issues. He figured since you were asleep and it was just the two of them out here, he might as well ask. What was the worst that could happen? âDo you like [name]?â He flat out asked, no skirting around the issue, no sugar coating it, nothing. Just flat out asked.
Yeosang was taken aback by the sudden question. If his face wasnât already red, it would have been now. He didnât say anything for a few seconds but continued to play with the charred wood in the fireplace. âNo! What makes you say that?â He half shouted before he realized he was being too loud.Â
San quirked his brow, Yeosang was being defensive about something so silly, âSo you do?â He readjusted himself and watched how Yeosang was squirming around with the question.Â
âNo. Couldn't be farther from the truth.â Yeosang was getting oddly defensive but San wasn't going to keep pushing it. He knew that it would just make the other extremely irritated. It was bad enough they were all out here for his mental healing. âAre you feeling any better after lashing out all day?â
The younger man was slightly annoyed with the question. It wasn't like he was lashing out intentionally, it just happened given his whole situation he's in right now, âHonestly or do you want the sugar coated answer?âÂ
âSugar coated.âÂ
âFantastic!âÂ
Yeosang chuckled a little, âYou'll be okay. It sucks right now, but you'll be okay.â Patting his friend's back as he continued to play with the torched embers. San was confused, Yeosang was never this touchy. Maybe he was trying to cover something up.

I've been seeing a lot of Discourse around outdoor cats that talks past one of the biggest problems addressing community cats/outdoor working cats so I thought I'd chime in with my two cents.
Many arguments I see just... don't think about the cats at all? Or don't consider the logistics of actually addressing the feral cat problem in a humane way. It's always about how outdoor cats shouldn't be outdoors, which is neither realistic nor helpful.
I used to volunteer at an municipal animal shelter in the USA that had a TNR program (Trap, Neuter, Return) and also adopted out community cats to local farms and businesses. Here's my side of the story.
"Your cat doesn't need to be outside" -- Yes, correct. Your domesticated (non-feral) house cat does not need to go outside at all. They can have a fully actualized life safely indoors. When I see this argument, proponents of indoor only cats are correct in most or all their arguments regarding this.
"Outdoor cats are the largest invasive species in the world, and decimate bird populations." -- This is also correct, and part of the reason why you can help by bringing your house cat indoors. Cats are the largest invasive species. Spay and Neuter your cats, bring them inside, and socialize them so they don't become feral.
"TNR doesn't work." -- False. Whether we like it or not, feral cats exist. We have two methods by which we can address the feral cat population -- decimating them (humanely euthanizing the whole colony) or TNR. For a long time, euthanasia was the preferred way to address the feral cat problem. Afterall, if the cats aren't there, doesn't that save the local wildlife population?
Except that we found, studying these colonies, that when a colony is wiped out, the cats of another colony will spread into their territory and continue to have kittens and the population of feral cats is neither controlled nor diminished.
Hence, TNR. What we found performing TNR on cat colonies was that this controlled the population of the colonies, allowing them to stay in their territory, which kept other colonies from spreading (especially colonies we hadn't performed TNR on yet). We at the shelter felt this was the most humane way to control the feral cat population and safely deflate their existence without dealing with the population blooms that euthanasia caused.
"What about kittens?" -- Kittens from these colonies were brought into the shelter, socialized, and fostered out until they could be adopted. Some of these semi-feral kittens needed special homes to be adopted into, but this was the best quality of life for these cats.
"What about cats that get missed during TNR?" -- We would return to the colony several times over a period of several years to perform TNR on the same colony. We mark cats that have been neutered by clipping their ear (this is done humanely, but is the most reliable way to tell if a cat has been neutered so the poor thing doesn't have to have surgery 3-4 times in their life). Also, during the TNR process the cats would be vaccinated to ensure disease did not spread from the colony (i.e. rabies). Still, even getting 60% of the colony TNR'd would dramatically reduce the number of kittens being added to the colony each year. This controlled the population by allowing the territory to naturally deflate in size over time, buying us time to address the larger feral cat problem.
"What if the colony was in an unsafe location?" -- There were two ways we addressed unsafe colony locations -- remember, we know that when the colony is removed, a new colony will move into its place, so we tried not to move the colony unless we really felt the cats or the public was unsafe -- one was to move the whole colony to a new location. Preferably someplace like a warehouse where we have an agreement with the owners of the warehouse. Some of the cats were even relocated to shelter grounds as our community cats. If the colony was small enough we would bring them into our Feral Cats room and adopt them out as community cats.
"What is a community cat?" -- The way the program worked, was that anyone who needed a working cat could apply to the program. These were often rural farmers or businesses with warehouses that needed rodent protection. We trained the farmers and businesses on how to acclimatize the cats to their new home, and as part of the agreement, they had to care for the cats (veterinary care, vaccinations, food and water). This gave businesses and farms an alternative to expensive and environmentally unfriendly rodent control, and also gave these feral cats good places to live out their natural lives.
"Can't you just adopt out feral cats?" -- No. Cats that have not been socialized around humans as kittens, or who have several generations of feral cat in them could not interact with humans in a way that did not cause them undue stress. This was not a humane way to handle feral cats. However, when a cat was brought into the feral cat room, they would be monitored for up to a week. If the cat displayed signs of being semi-social or fully social (hanging out outside of their den, allowing staff to pet them, showing interest in staff in the room), then we would either move the cat into the adoption room or place them in foster to be socialized before adoption. Feral cats who displayed signs of being able to live full and healthy lives with human companions were NOT adopted out as community cats. We also observed this behavior during TNRs and would do the same for those cats too.
"But aren't cats bad hunters?" -- Compared to other species, cats are not the most effective form of rodent control. This is true. However, you have to understand that feral cats exist. There is no "undo" button we can push to stop them from existing. We have to deal with the problem we have right now, which is to safely and humanely decrease the number of feral cats in our communities. And yes, we do that by using cats as rodent control in the community.
"What can I do?" -- Stop saying community cats shouldn't exist. That's not helpful and doesn't solve the problem we have. Bring your cat indoors. Spay and neuter your cats. Adopt from shelters. Volunteer with a TNR team. Support TNR efforts in your community. Recognize that those of us actively dealing with the community/feral problem are trying to do what is in the best interest of our communities and the animals we love. We aren't sitting over here saying these cats should exist -- a feral cat will not have the same quality of life as one that is indoors with a family -- but we have to address the problem in practical terms. We don't have the moral high ground to just do nothing while pontificating solutions that have no basis in actuality.
And yes, it's okay to celebrate community cats. If your local farm has a couple of working cats, that means that farm is helping participate in the safe deflation of the feral cat population. Don't shame a farm or business for using community cats. We're all doing the best we can to solve the problem that we have.

Assassin Heir? Crime Fighting Furry? NOPE NO THANK YOU!
"Danyal, its time to end this game and return with me."
Danny should had known Clockwork had something in mind when he sent him on this mission. He knew he should had been suspicious of the time keeper when he noticed the little 'this is going to be fun' smile on his face when he sent Danny off into the portal.
"Get back here you demon spawn 2.0!"
But how was he supposed to know that he'd wake up in this world version of himself in a pit full of corrupted (AND NASTY) ectoplasim at the tender age of five or that when he swam up to the surface he'd be meeting face to face with what was apparently a cult.
"-O just spotted him a block away! I'll try to cut itty bitty bridie off!"
An Assassins Cult his, new to him, loving yet a little insane mother was in charge of (though during the few months he stayed in the compound he heard rumors and gossip from maids and others alike that if his grandfather returned from the dead he'll take over once again, no doubt punish Talia for creating another heir after the failure of the last one, most likely was going to kill Danny and that... that was can of worms Danny didn't wanna deal with yet)
"Ten bucks says they try to stab RR when we get the feral thing home"
"...Losers bet...."
Danny had lived with his mother for a while after being brought back from the 'dead' for apparently the first time, it turned out training a five year old with an actual sword and a dumbass hidden revenge seeking teacher was a terrible idea.
"I swear if this one tries to murder me like the others I'm asking Zatanna if there is a curse on me."
He dealt with her high demands of perfection, the endless training, and the constant comparisons to his apparent older brother Damain... Who didn't know Danny, or rather Danyal existed.
Nor did his father (when Danny, using his powers he's kept hidden since 'waking' up in this Realm, he sneaked his way around the base and discovered how he came into the world. And tbh he couldn't blame his mom how she made him, she was an assassin first and foremost, being naturally pregnant would had painted a target on her for to long... but he also felt it was unfair and an asshole move on his unsuspecting father as well)
"As your elder brother I demand you to stop running!"
Now don't get him wrong, he did like his new mother (total badass assassin lady and all that) and he knew she loved him in her own... deadly way. But yeah, she really shouldn't be taking care of kids. He could tell she struggled with wanting to be a normal mother but her first instinct after so many years was to be an assassin first.
Something she was trying to engrave into Danny with as well.
"Ah, hello Beloved. I see you've learned of our Danyal."
"Talia. Back away from him and leave Gotham now."
"I can not do that. The League needs an heir and since Damian refuses to return... I have decided to create a new one and I shall not be leaving until he returns with me."
"Talia."
Hence why when Danny, or rather Danyal al Ghul had gotten decent control over his powers he decided to leave the League. Again nothing wrong with the life his mom leads, to each their own, but he... really, really didnt want to be an assassin. Or an assassin heir.
So here he was, after almost a year on the run, using his powers and training to out smart and out maneuver his mother and her many band of Assassins, in Gotham. One of the last places he ever wanted to run to cause he knew his father and brother lived here.
It was just his luck that his mother had managed to intercept his train ride that passed into Gotham for a few hours and forced him to run into the city...
Add her assassins into the mix and running into Robin, who heard from Oracle his mother had been spotted chasing a young boy across the city, that same night.
After that it became a full on "catch me if you can" chase for not only his mother but for the batclan as well.
And after two whole days of chase, it seemed like the final showdown was about to begin because everyone was on top of this rooftop, his mother and her assassins on one side, his father and the batclan on the other and Danny well... he was right in the middle of all of it.
He just had to hope no one would notice him once the fighting started...
#danny phantom#danny fenton#dp x dc#blue rambles#crossover#writing ideas#random idea#danny phantom dc#basicly Danny is sent on a mission by CW#he wakes up in the DC version of himself in the pits after being killed and Talia tossing him in#he was created by Talia since shes head of the LOA now and needs her own heir#but she once again wants Bruce's bloodline in it so she used some leftover dna she still had#so no one knows Danny was created until he left about a year later#danny has his ghost powers since he took a dip in the pits#but had to relearn some control and kept it secret#he knows his mom would see it as 'the pits granted my heir its powers.' mindset#so hes been on the run#and didnt wanna go to Gotham cause... his dad dresses as a gaint bat#and dont get him started on the rest of the batfam#he doesnt wanna be an assassin or a crime fighting furry#in case some people didnt get it. the words being spoken happen when Danny is running all across Gotham away from those after him#guess who said what lol#i want danny to be completely independent and trying to take care of himself tbh#but hes still baby to everyone else#talia is slowy becoming a little unhinged due to being the Demon Head now#maybe due to the stress of it all? or maybe due to a curse? idk

YAKUZA!TOJI X MILF!READER âaka toji on some joe goldberg bullshit
đïž đđ đđ:
âą rating: mdni 18+ stalking, yuji is yakuza!sukuna x reader child, toji is still delulu af, size-kink, milf kink, breeding kink, voyeurism, dilf!toji, dissociative sexual fantasies, sukuna is an asshole, masturbation, killing fantasies, obsessive tendencies, heavy manipulation, brooding, yandere fluff, cute kid megumi.
âą episode run time: đ.đđ€ âą episode list: m.list âą subscriber access: please comment on m.list to be tagged, rather than individual episodes as its easier for me to track. âą director's note: e2 is here!! sorry for the initial issues! i hope you guys enjoy as we go deeper into toji's delulu, it's so much fun writing from his perspective. i feel like with each epi he only gets worse, hfsvsdjkfhvbsdj. he's still daddy tho.
The sky has since fallen completely dark, but the city lights of Tokyo still twinkle brightly in the distance, drowning out any stars. The light pollution still appears beautiful though, as a comforting beacon of civilization in the surrounding darkness.
The atmosphere, which had previously been so violently vibrant, has now quieted to a muted calm as the world slows down, whipping cool night air around Tojiâs tense frame on his balcony.
However, it does fuck all to soothe the seared edges of his temper.Â
Nor does the serene scene do anything to calm the heated exchange still taking place inside your condo.
Your domestic dispute with Sukuna fiercely rages on.
Toji savors the last few puffs of his cigarette before discarding it and quickly lighting another. Chain smoking is his last salvation, lest the persistent urge to protect you completely overtakes him and causes him to act rashly.
The current state of the organization had suspicions at an all-time high. Toji couldnât afford that considering who he was dealing with and what all could come in between the two of you should he err from the plan.Â
Closing his eyes, Toji manages to regain control by doing the one thing that never failed to pacify himâthinking of you, of course.Â
Both the sweet poison and the bitter antidote to Toji, you do nothing but constantly plague his psyche.Â
But perhaps itâs that he knows you need him as much as he realizes he needs you.Â
Over the course of time he had watched you, it didnât take long for Toji to conclude that you only chose to remain with Sukuna for the security he provided. Preservation and the obligations of motherhood were the only logical motivations you could have.
It was glaringly apparent that Sukuna didnât love you.Â
Even a blind man could see the truth of it.
Sukuna only visited you on rare occasions, when yakuza business took him beyond the central city limits, as Tojiâs own surveillance and connections had revealed.Â
And whenever he did show up, it usually led to arguments between the two of you. If you had indeed loved Sukuna at one point you werenât foolish enough to hold onto any of those illusions now.Â
Moreover, the subject of illusionsâToji had been privy to having many fantasies of you.
Weathering away at the stone around his heart he strived his whole life to buildâonly to then rebuild once again after his late wifeâaddictingly sweet visions of you so swiftly demolish the walls he set in place.
Toji allowed himself many hopeful images of what life could be like with you.Â
A life of ease.Â
That said, it would never be too easy.Â
Toji is still a yakuza himself and he knew the organization would never let him walk away entirely.Â
Nevertheless, his role was somewhat uniqueâan executive assassin was almost unheard of. Toji took on as many kills as he did as a way to numb and distract himself, not because it was required of him or he couldnât pass it off to another. And ever since heâd laid eyes on you he had no desire to busy himself with anything other than you.
Toji takes pleasure in knowing he wouldnât ever have to be away from you for long too.Â
As it happens, he already owns a spacious five-bedroom home just outside Tokyo in Chibaâthe previous home he had hoped to share with his late wife. Toji had planned to surprise her with it once she left the hospital.
Yet instead of leaving the hospital with Megumiâs mother by his side, Toji had walked out alone. Numbed to the world, his hand had gripped the sleek black urn that had mockingly held her remainsâalong with his shattered hopes.
And as a result, no one had even crossed the threshold since the purchase was made.
But that would change though now that there would be the four of you to breathe life into the home.
Who else could give you that kind of life but Toji?Â
Certainly not Sukuna.
Toji would give you everything if you let himâbut you werenât an easy conquest, something he learned quickly as you prove it to him time and time again.
âĄ
Toji recalls your second encounter with a sharpened clarity. It had taken him only two weeks to meticulously study your habits. The encounter had been carefully orchestrated, but despite his planning, the day hadnât quite unfolded as Toji anticipated to say the least.
Parked down on the block of your typical walking path, Toji sat in his blacked-out Mercedes, keeping an eye on his rear-view mirror monitoring your approach. The mirror also showed Megumi, who was peacefully dozing in the backseat.
Heh, yeah heâd made damn sure to have the kid with him back then too.
Hardly older than 18 months and already a lady-killer, Megumi never failed to melt the heart of any woman who laid eyes upon his abundant chubby-cheeked cuteness.Â
Not like Toji had ever really needed to expend the effort before now. He knew just a mere look from him could get panties leaking, but youâd be harder to conquer than that.Â
Toji would enjoy taking his time, which if he thought about previously he would have deemed oddâheâd never been one to hold himself back or take his time with a woman. Â
Not anymore.Â
Not since her at least.Â
But the agony that had accompanied thoughts of his late wife had dulled considerably since heâd first started observing you.Â
A bonus of that being it no longer hurts as much to see Megumiânot when he would picture you rocking him in your arms.
Toji had even gone so far as to believe that she would have approved, that she would have liked you. He imagined she would have gladly chosen you to take care of both Megumi and him if sheâd known you.
A familiar form appears in the rear-view mirror and Toji knows itâs game time.
Here you were, a reward for his diligence in tracking your habits, right on schedule.
Your features sparkled in the summer sun as you pushed Yuji along in his stroller, humming a tune while the child giggled along clapping.Â
The kidâs bubbly deposition had to come from you, Toji decidedâsurely none of it could have come from, nor been influenced by, Sukuna.Â
Toji wondered if you could even make a somber child like Megumi smile.
Biding in-wait until you passed, Toji snatched up Megumi and kept far enough distance so as to not alarm you of his presence.Â
His original plan had been to exit the car as you passed by and walk into the store together. But that all changed when Toji got the first glimpse of what you were wearing.Â
Toji would avoid being noticed by you, but your attire made it near impossible for him not to notice you.
The dress you wore was barely made modest enough to wear in public by the cardigan you draped over it. A less curvaceous woman could have likely pulled it off without turning a head. Â
However on your body, the way the thin loose fabric hung off your shape as it clung onto the moist areas of perspiration like a second skinâwas fucking obscene.Â
Especially as despite your continued efforts, the crack of your ass kept gobbling up your sundress no matter how many times you subtly tried to yank it free.
Toji bet your ass could swallow his cock up just as well.Â
Damn.
Toji wished the walkup to the store was longer.Â
Heâd never been one for prayer, but he would have started if whatever God deemed it fit right at that very moment to send an unanticipated gust of wind.Â
Your lack of panty line had his mind racing as to whether you wore a thong or were just slutty enough to be outside bare-assed in a short sundress mid-afternoon.
The green of your sundress matched his eyes too and Toji took it as another sign from the universe, he was on the right path by pursuing you like this.
You were doing this intentionally just to tease him, weren't you?Â
Hoping heâd see you like this and to tempt him into taking a peek, right?
Entering the grocery store, Megumi seated in-cart, Toji continued tailing you as you shopped.
True to the homemaker he previously confirmed you to be, you picked up mostly fresh produce, prime cuts of meat from the butcher, and some pantry baking items.Â
You were capable of more than just the frozen dinners heâd be more accustomed to if not for his Nannyâs cooking. She was a decent enough cook tooâbut she wasnât you.Â
Nothing she cooked smelled a fraction as good as the mostly foreign, but appetizing, smells that wafted from under your door to fill the hall with warm spices.
The food you would make him, once Toji gets you settled in your new home, would definitely be much better.Â
You were truly perfect, well nearly so.
After tailing you down a few aisles, Toji suspects the one minor flaw you may have is you appeared to be the absentminded type.Â
How else could you be disregarding his overbearing presence as he continuously had put himself in your line of vision? Restlessness overtook Toji as he waited for you to look up and catch his eye, giving him a casual opening.
You had been too consumed with your phone to notice his attemptsâ which if he would guess, wouldnât be successful anytime soon.Â
Grumbling, Toji had to take matters into his own hands if he wanted to shop with you at all.
Easy enough too, you were already so carelessly distracted.
Momentarily taking his eyes off you, Toji calculated how long it would take you to reach the end of the aisle. So as you moved from one aisle to the next, he casually nudged his cart into your path, creating a T-bone collision that made it look like you were at fault for leaving the aisle.
The bang was jolting enough to finally draw your attention.
âOH MY GOD! I WASNâT WATCHING WHERE I WAS GOING! IâM SO SORRYâ I-I âŠFushiguro?!â
Heh, took ya long enough to notice.Â
âWell, hey doll. Long time no see, ma.â
A flagrant lie.Â
Toji had seen you nearly everydayâyou just hadnât seen him.Â
He could tell you were flustered and embarrassed as multiple heads in the store had turned towards the two of you from the rattling collision.Â
You couldnât apologize enough to Toji who was on cloud nine from your attention focused on him.
And as Toji had predicted, your attention was soon stolen by the black spikey haired baby boy seated in his cart.
âOh wow Fushiguro!!ââÂ
ââToji, ma.â
A smirk bloomed across his features as you rolled your eyes at him, continuing your affections towards Megumi.
ââI remember you said you had a son but I didnât know you had a little mini-me, heâs so adorable!â
Toji didnât fail to notice the doubleâno triple, take you had given between himself and Megumi.Â
He also couldn't help but see how your big ass tiddies lookedâlike they wanted to bounce right outta that sundress and into his mouthâas you bent down to get a closer look at Megumi.Â
No bra too?
Oh, youâd surely be the death of him.
But Toji's cock wasnât the only part of him swelling, his heart rate sped like crazy just from watching you fuss over Megumi so apologeticallyâmuch like a loving mom soothing her own child at the sight of him sniffling back tears.Â
For a moment, Yujiâs giggling drew Tojiâs attention as the boisterous kid seemed to think it was some sort of ride. Needing no comfort at all, Yuji merrily squealed with laughter at the impact, continuing to stuff rice puff snacks into his little face.
The distraction kept Toji from warning you not to pick up Megumi and before he Toji knew what was happeningâ you scooped Megumi up. Settling Megumi into your arms, Toji noted you cradled him with the same joy radiating from you as you did Yujiâand much to Tojiâs shockâMegumi let you.
It went without saying that Megumi wasn't the friendliest kid.Â
Toji suspected he had inherited that from him, along with his trademark scowl. The little terror was known to pitch a screaming fit if someone other than Toji or his nanny picked him up.Â
However, in your hold, Megumi appeared calmâangel-like evenâas far as Toji was concerned.
More curious than upset, Megumi's tears dried at the corners of his eyes as he reached out to gently bop your nose with his tiny fist.
âAye! Manners, kiddo.â
Toji chides Megumi, but inside he is amazed by the interaction.Â
Returning the gesture, you softly boop Megumi's nose with the pad of your finger, causing him to grab it in defiance, as you offered him softly whispered apologies for upsetting him.
This served to confirm in Tojiâs mind the place you belonged in his life.Â
He couldnât be wrong about you.Â
You were perfect.
Everything was aligning better than he could have hoped for.
âNo harm done ma, Megumi can take a lick. Just like his daddy.âÂ
You shook your head at Toji and gently rubbed soothing circles on Megumiâs back, cooing at him.
âOh? So youâre growing up strong like your daddy, huh, Megumi?â
Megumi tilted his head slightly, his thumb resting gently in his mouth.
âJust donât fool yourself into thinking youâre smooth like he does.â
You shot Toji a teasing smirk, immediately resulting in a half chub pressed against his suit pants.
Now you were⊠teasing him?Â
Oh, you had no fucking idea just how smooth Toji could be when he wanted. And Toji planned to put 3 more kids inside of you soon too, just as smoothly.
Those facts withstanding, Toji could tell his son hadnât quite made up his mind about you yet. Megumi just blinked at you, but the fact that he wasn't screaming his head off was good enough for Toji.
âDonât let the blank stare fool you, ma, he likes you. Trust, ya would know if he didnât. Just takes him a while to warm up to most folks.â
You gave Toji another playful smile.
âHmm, and wonder who he got that from?â
Primal urges surged in his veins as Toji wanted nothing more than to grab you in his arms at that moment, although Toji settled for countering with a smirk of his own.
âWeâre not that bad maâonce you get to know us.â
Toji flashed a toothy grin at you, amused by the upward pull at the corners of your lips as you tried and failed, not to be entertained by him.Â
You gently set Megumi back down in the cart, smoothing down his onesie and safely buckling him in before turning back to Toji.
âIâm sure Megumi is a perfectly sweet kid, who just needs to come into his own a bit.â
âEh? And whadda âbout me, mamas?â
âThe jury is still out on youâFushiguro.â
ââToji,â he corrected once againâand again you responded by rolling your pretty eyes under those long thick lashes of yours.
Oh, Toji had just the thing for that ass since you liked to roll your eyes back that much.Â
Toji imagined how deeply theyâd be lodged into your head once he stuffed you full of his fat cockâall in one goâeffectively pushing your guts up into your chest.Â
Yeah, he had it bad for youâreal bad.
Unable to stop the many intrusive sexual thoughts that would spring in his mind just from being close enough to smell the scent of your sweet vanilla and jasmine perfume.
Yet Toji couldnât let the chance pass to press his limits with you.
âSoâHow about ya give me yâer number so we can set up a playdate, eh? Since ya think Megumiâs such a sweet kid and all, mamas.âÂ
Caught off guard, you looked away from Toji in contemplation, chewing on your lip.
âHm... I-I don't think thatâs such a good idea, Fushiguro.â
You shift your stance a bit, taking on a defensive posture.Â
Tch, fuck. Youâd be harder to crack than Toji originally thought.Â
Plus you seemed to still have some loyalty to Sukuna, even if you held no love for him.
But that was all fine, Toji calculatesâa good thing even.
That just meant you would be all the more loyal to him once he did have you. Â
Thinking on his feet, Toji subtly switches tactics, playing dumb as he lifts a brow.
âToji, doll, but ya know what I do for work. Think I gots time to be babysitting brats? What, sânot a good idea for the nanny to bring Gumi by?â
âOh! Of course the nanny! Yeah thatâs fine, erm, that's⊠sorry. I thoughtââ
ââthought, what mamas? You tryna get a playdate with me too? â
Toji couldnât hold back his laughter as your eyes widened in shock.Â
Embarrassment washed over you like a tsunami, intensified by Toji's teasing. You hid half your face with one hand while the other gripped the grocery cart handle so tightly that Toji half-expected it to snap off.
âKiddinâ maâlighten up a âlil eh? Ya left yâerself wide open for that one, doll.â
Sighing in defeat, you finally conceded to his charms, exchanging numbers with him solely so his nanny could coordinate the playdates.
âI see you think you got jokes, Fushiguro.â
Toji relished the win as your smile returned.Â
âYa know I doâand it's Toji, mama.â
With that shift, Toji was pleased to see you gradually lower your guard around him, the ice between you started to melt. You continued your shopping together, Toji casually picking up a few items, occasionally seeking your advice on what to feed Megumi.
Truth be told, he had no idea. The nanny always handled all the shopping.
Subtly taking the lead in the conversation, Toji casually provoked you into revealing more about yourself. Details he couldnât piece togetherâlike where you grew up, what your life was like before Japan and what brought you hereâall which he cataloged meticulously in his mind.Â
Toji wanted to ask how a smart girl planning to be a doctor with a full-ride exchange program scholarship to Tokyo University got knocked up by a dumb fuckhead like Ryomen Sukunaâbut the very last thing he wanted you to think about when you were with him was Sukuna. Â
However, each piece of information he learned of you convinced him more of how much he wanted youâ
âOh yeah, Fushiguro! Despite what you said, I actually managed to make a friend!â
âall to himself.
Tch, a fuckinâ friend?
Tojiâs demeanor darkened, but you didnât noticeâtoo busy humming to yourself while checking apples for bruises in the produce section.
Not like this information came as a particular surprise to him, Toji's eyes narrowed as he could guess exactly who it was right away.
Toji had seen the tall raven-haired woman whose afternoon jogs in the park so-conveniently aligned with your walks with Yuji. You both would exchange pleasantries as she admired your son, and you her commitment to fitness, that you would say you never seemed to have the time for these days.Â
Yet your interactions from what he had seen never ventured much beyond that.Â
Although Toji would normally oblige you a few friends, having a friend here would complicate his plans.
The women of The Nursery up until now had done such a good job in isolating you all on their own without him having to lift a finger. Toji was relying on their catty caste system to ultimately drive you into his arms, as the only person you could rely on.
Toji couldnât have one of them ruin that.Â
He needed to know more about this âfriendâ of yours.Â
How well have you gotten to know each other?Â
And in what ways?
The fact that this development happened right under his watchful eye, without him knowing the depth of it, had Toji cross to say the least.
Thankfully, your isolation had you starved for an attentive ear, so you were eager to spill your guts about your new friend to him.Â
And as the good future husband heâd be to you, Toji was sure to listen now as he would in the futureâor at least appear like he was most of the time.
âSheâs new like me! Well, not new I suppose, but back for a stay here with her fiancĂ© until things calm down due to all the commotion happening overseas now.â
So that woman did intend to leave.Â
Good.Â
The sooner the better so Tojiâs own hand wouldnât have to be forced and your little âfriendâ could be spared.Â
Toji couldnât have anything or anyone coming in between the two of youâno matter the consequences from who they were.
âShe doesnât have any kids so Iâve been giving her tips and sharing how I dealt with Yuji this past year. She always seems to be busy though, so we havenât really had the chance to really do anythingâbut she calls me often.â
Tojiâs teeth clenched.Â
They dared to make phone contact even?
And bad girlâyouâd been so eager to give this stranger, who had no respect for boundaries, your number but you hesitated with him?
What did Toji need to do to show you he was the only one with your best interests in mind?
Toji was the only one you should have confided in and the only one you should trust.
âHeh, well isnât that nice, ma.â
Toji would have to figure out how to deal with the problem of your new friend at a later time. He didnât want to spend the fleeting moments he had remaining with you brooding, as it was sure to soon show on his face and sour the mood.
Pivoting the subject back to just the two of you, Toji inquired about the baked goods heâs still owed. He could tell youâd forgotten already, but he wasnât going to pass up the opportunity he had to taste your cooking.Â
It would keep him sated long enough until he could actually taste you.
âYa know, I usually donât like sweets though.â
Toji told you when you asked his favorite dessert and you were genuinely determined you could bake him something heâd like.
âHmm, you know I can make a mean fudge brownie! I make them with semi-sweet chocolate too. Plus, since I moved here I also cut some sugar and added matcha to the recipe, so they wouldnât be too sweet. they are so gooey they melt in your mouth.â
âHeh, yeahâI bet you would too, ma.â
This time, you didnât suppress your amused cackle as you shook your head and pushed your cart forward, still overall ignoring his persistent flirtations even if you were growing more comfortable with them.
Toji sensed the playful personality youâd kept tightly wrapped under all those layers from being with Sukuna, whose cruel sense of humor would only serve to crush yours.Â
Toji couldnât wait to be the one to fully draw it back out of you.
âUghâboy, you play too much, Fushiguro!â
Toji chuckled, pushing his cart along after yoursâhe could tell your cheeks were still burning though.Â
ââToji, ma.â
When you both finally reached the register, Toji checked out first, slyly sliding his card to cover your groceries as well.
You were completely unaware though, having left your cart with him in line while you rushed Yuji to the bathroom.
Yuji, being the growing boy that he was, had devoured his rice snacks too quickly and promptly spat them up all over himself.
Feeling smug in his chivalry, Toji anticipated seeing an even sweeter smile when you returned to find your groceries already paid for.
Yet, heâd seemingly made another miscalculation with you.Â
As when you returned to see your groceries bagged and paid for, you kept Yuji in your arms as you placed your bags of groceries in the stroller itself, storming out without a word leaving behind a dumbfounded Toji.
Toji was more than puzzled as you seemed furious at the fact Toji had done what he deemed to be âa-nice-thing-any-woman- would-wantâ.Â
The fuck happend?!
Shifting Megumi and own bag in his arms, Toji swiftly pursued you.Â
âOy, mamas!â
You ignored him but Toji wouldnât give up on you easily, or at all truthfully.Â
You didnât realize that yet but Toji figured you must have gathered he was bullheaded enough to keep following you until you acknowledged him once you abruptly stopped and whipped around to face him.
âWhat, no âthank youâ fâer me, ma?â
Toji watched your nostrils flare as you angrily snapped at him.
âThank you?!âÂ
God, you were beautifulâeven pissed off.Â
Toji knows he should be more focused on what you were saying in the moment, as you heatedly gave him a piece of your mind. However, Toji zoned out momentarily, unable to quiet his internal thoughts that screamed to him how pretty you were with your brow furrowed and cheeks puffed in indignation.Â
â... and furthermore you think you can just buy me, is that it?! That just because I have to rely on Sukuna and accept living in a building full of side hoes to give Yuji a comfortable life that Iâll just giggle and go along with anything like the rest of those bitches?!â
Shit.Â
You were actually pissed.Â
Ah fuck.Â
Toji had greatly underestimated your self-worth. Once again, you proved him wrongâand once more, that pleased him. It further highlighted how you were in fact a pearl among The Nursery pigs.
âUh, Fuck mamas, erâI-IâŠnoââ
Yet you proved to be such a wildcard that you had Toji of all people stuttering as he scrambled to find the right words to appease you.
ââthen what?! Say something!â
Toji had to think fast.Â
He could see how it looked bad now, but in a rare form from his usual nature, Tojiâs intentions had been honest. Toji just really wanted to show you he had the means and could take care of youânot to buy you.Â
Nonetheless, Toji really only had himself to blame as heâs sure youâve heard of his far less than pious reputation.Â
Ostracized or not, the bougie women of The Nursery were terrible gossips and he was sure youâd overheard plenty less than savory information about him.Â
Of course, with all things considered, youâd assume the worst of him. Â
But Toji had never even bothered to learn any of those bitches names, much less buy them anythingâthey would give him gifts.
In this situation though, to quell your anger and regain your favor, Toji devised a quick lie, hoping it would smooth things over.
âTch,â he began, scratching the back of his head and awkwardly looking away from you.
He had to be sure to sell it.Â
âNo, itâs just ah, the guyâer, the teller. He assumed we were together.âÂ
Toji shifted his stance, readjusting a drowsy Megumi in his arms.
âSo, you told him we wereâŠ?âÂ
You raised a brow, huffing but you didnât seem as angry as before. Toji saw your eyes soften a bit, distracted by a cute lil yawn from Megumi who sleepily burrowed his face deeper into his shoulder.
Good kid, lookin out for yâer old man, aye Gumi?
Seeing how Megumi was disarming you, Toji knew this was his chance at redemption. Like a gentle giant, Tojiâs large hand dwarfed his sonâs small head with affection patsâan action he had picked up from observing you.
âNot exactlyâbut I supposed it looked that way, ma. What with the kids nâya leaving all yâer shit with me nâall. Easier to just pay then explain.â
Toji continued before you could say anything, seeing as you didnât look quite convinced.
âTrust me, from all of what you told me today, I know ya can take care of yâerself mamas⊠even if you are with that asshole.â
You regarded Toji with a scrutinizing gaze for all of a minute, yet that minute felt like hours to him.Â
He couldnât remember feeling this uneasy everâand being in the Yakuza put him in several situations in the past he thought he wouldnât make it out of.Â
âFine,â you resigned with a sigh, âItâs whatever then.âÂ
Seeing that you had set aside the words you originally intended to scold him with, Toji felt that this was the best possible outcome he could have hoped for.
Well shit, bullet dodged.
âUh yeah, wellâŠIâll see you around then Fushiguroââ
Toji couldnât just let you leave like this, on uneasy terms with your frustration still evident.
ââWait ma!â
And even more so as Toji stopped you once again.
âLookâŠI ainât too big to admit I fucked up, mamas. Let me make it up to ya, yeah? Give ya a ride back so ya donât hafta walk back in this heat?â
Toji knew you wanted to reject his offer out of pride, but he was serious nowâthere was no fuckinâ way he was gonna let you walk back.Â
Your load of groceries was way more than your usual trips, and on top of carrying Yuji, a sizable boy for his age, your purse and pushing the stroller would turn a 15 minute walk into a 25 minute one easily.Â
The scorching summer sun perched high at its peak at this time of day and the thick, near suffocating, humidity could easily turn to heat exhaustionâespecially for a young toddler.
He knew you knew that too.
Youâd have to accept, per Tojiâs calculations.
And you did.
âOkay, why not...âÂ
Yet the reluctance was clear in your voice.Â
The ride back began uneventfully, yet the calm atmosphere inside the car was tinged with awkwardness.Â
Megumi was snoozing in his car seat, while Yuji sat on your lap in the passenger seat.Â
Despite the lingering tension, Toji could see the relief on your face. The transition from the sweltering heat to the cool comfort of his air-conditioned Mercedes had clearly brought you much-needed respite.
The domesticality of it all was something Toji didnât realize he would miss as much as he did, and it pissed him off that it was something Sukuna of all people had and took for granted.Â
However, when Toji glanced over at you, he tightened his grip on the wheel with both hands.
Your actions were purely innocent as you entertained Yuji, bouncing him on your knees. However, the movement caused your sundress to lift and bunch damn near to your hips.Â
Toji swore he could feel the steering wheel crack under his grip as he fought the urge to slide a hand onto your thigh, or at minimum over his soon-to-be-bricked-up cock.Â
Fuck. Get it together.Â
But there was nothing Toji could have done to stop his dissociative daydreams, which had grown increasingly vivid since laying eyes on you, from consuming him.Â
The sleek hardness of the leather steering wheel morphed to be malleable like the inner flesh of your thighs. Toji gripped the wheel tighter, which only made the visualization of how soft your skin would be in contrast to the texture of his calloused hand more apparent. The same hand which would so graciously sink into the warm plush of your skin with reassuring squeezes.Â
Finally, Toji would also get his answer as to whether or not you had been wearing panties. Tojiâs wandering hand would only need to travel up the tiniest bit higher to press his knuckles right against your core.
And when it came down to it, whether you had them on or not mattered little to Tojiâregardless of the result, he still intended to bully his thick middle knuckle directly into your clit.Â
Toji would take satisfaction in keeping his main attention on the road as he engaged you in casual conversationâall the while drawing slow absentminded circles around your bud. He would only pause if he felt the lilâ thing swell up enoughâto the point where the soft clicking sounds from your slick could be heard if there wasnât music playing.Â
Heâd edge you with subtle, yet incessant, pleasure all the way home. Seeing just how much of his teasing your messy cunt could handle.
Toji's mind was stuck so badly in-between your thighs that heâd actually been caught off guard when you finally broke the silence, eagerly asking about his playlist as âHow Do U Want Itâ pumped through the car speakers.Â
And that's how Toji managed to worm his way back into your good graces.
You seemed genuinely surprised to discover he was also a fan of â90s hip-hop when he told you he was.Â
Of course, being a fan of â90s hip-hop wasnât a lieâbut he had heard this particular song playing from your apartment before, so he made sure to add it to a playlist for whenever heâd be able to get you into his car.Â
Much to Tojiâs enjoyment, before long you were laughing again as he attemptedâvery, very poorlyâto rap along to some of the lyrics in English.Â
Pleased to have won you back over, Toji purposely missed at least two turns just to keep you in his car a bit longer.
If the day had ended there, he would have considered it a win.Â
But, of course, with his luck, things would prove to be anything but victorious.
Naturally, once you both returned, Toji carried your bags upstairs. However, that didnât stop him from playfully teasing you.
Toji joked thatââMiss Independent didnât want him paying for her groceries, but she sure as hell didnât mind him carrying themââand was rewarded again with the soft snorts of your laughter.
Itâs not like you didnât have your hands full though, cradling both Megumi and Yuji, who were now fast asleepâone on each of your shoulders.
It wasâŠcute.
Fuck, when even was the last time Toji even thought something was cute?Â
You were cute though, especially with the kids.Â
That he didnât mind admitting.Â
Toji regretted that he didn't snap a picture of the moment. He knew it would likely be over soon.
Heh, maybe it didnât have to be though.
With both boys asleep in your arms, Toji considered the likelihood of coaxing you to invite him in. Youâd surely need help carrying both Yuji and your bags insideâbut he didnât want to push his luck, especially after he had already majorly fucked things up with you once today.
Although, Toji realized you wouldnât need any convincing when you looked at him with a kind smile that reached all the way into your bright eyes. That was all the encouragement he needed to step across the threshold, technically uninvited, as he held the door open for you.
Toji would have entered too, had the energy not immediately shifted.Â
ââand just what the fuck is this?â
Motherfucker.
Down the hallway, Sukuna had since stepped out of the elevator with his right hand, Uraume, close behind. Sukuna appeared already agitated, barking rushed orders over the phone.Â
But Sukuna abruptly ended the call the moment he saw Toji about to enter the condo with you. And as if he owned the entire building himself, Sukuna exuded obnoxious dominance in every stride as he approached.Â
Toji may have outranked him but Sukuna rivaled Toji in both size and presence, sauntering over to loom behind you with an unmistakable air of possessiveness.
Tch, Sukuna shouldnât even be here.Â
Toji had miscalculatedâa rare miscalculation, but a big one nonethelessâwhat he gets, he supposed, for trusting a less than meticulous intel source.Â
According to his, now incorrect intel, Sukuna was supposed to be in Shinjuku at headquarters. The fact that he was here, interfering with his time he had so meticulously planned with you, infuriated Toji.Â
Shitâhe hadnât wanted Sukuna to see you two together just yet.
Despite Toji being unable to hide his disdain, he offered a respectful nod to Sukuna, as was customary between fellow upper-ranked yakuza.Â
Sukuna returned the gesture in-kind, along with a smug grin that had plastered itself across his face.
Tension saturated the air and Toji noticed that your once-gentle smiles had faded, replaced by wary glances exchanged between him and Sukuna.Â
Tojiâs hand causally brushed yours as you carefully handed Megumi back to him before you faced Sukuna.
He noticed you running the spot on your hand where your skin had touched.
Did you also feel the electricity between the two of you burn your skin?
Toji had.
âIf I knew you were coming, you could have picked me up from the store, Ryo! Then I wouldnât have had to be a bother to Fushiguro...â
You could never be a bother to Toji.
Looking you over, Toji scrutinized your every movement. He knew you were merely trying to shift focus and keep the peaceâbut to do it for him?Â
After everything today, and how he unintentionally put his foot in his mouth with his actions?
Wereâwere you falling for him, already?
The slightly strained smile on your face still looked sweet enough, and Toji might have mistaken it for genuineâif not for the real warmth youâd shown him just moments before Sukunaâs arrival.Â
You really had saved your smiles just for him, isnât that right mama?
Tojiâs heart beats wildly at the thought, however his good temperaments were greatly diminished as he noted how the light in your eyes dimmed.
Seeing you shrink yourself to answer to Sukuna, no matter how insignificantâpissed him off.
Well, at least thanks to him, you wouldnât have to suffer Sukuna much longer.
As Toji had expected, Sukuna didnât try to suppress his asshole-like nature, even towards you. Your attempted olive branch had been rebuffed by the heavy hand on your shoulder. It was evident Sukuna was unconcerned with your excuses as he focused solely on Toji.
âAh Fushiguro, I see youâve met my son and his mother.â
Even though Sukuna had failed to give you a title, the intent behind his words and demeanor was unmistakable:Â
Sukuna owned you.
So that's how it is, eh?Â
Toji couldnât say he was surprised.
Although his possessive nature wasn't driven by affection for you, Sukuna simply never liked to share his toys.
Sukuna must have thought you were just another plaything for Toji, well aware of what Toji got up to typically at The Nursery,Â
Eh, and were you any other woman, Sukuna would have been right.Â
But you were never toy to Toji, he wanted much more than just to fuck you, even before he realized it himself.Â
Toji would be lying if he said that he wasnât looking forward to that too though.Â
âHeh, weâve already had our introductions before, isnât that rightâŠ?âÂ
Toji was pleased by the flushed, wide-eyed expression on your face when he dared to address you by your first nameâjust as he was pleased that Sukunaâs smirk faltered into a scowl at Tojiâs bold familiarity with you.
Toji mainly did it to piss Sukuna off. However seeing you flustered, knowing he could have an effect on you even in front of Sukuna, had been a much sweeter treat.Â
âOh? Then she must know not to pay heed to old roosters who are now forced to spend more time in the hen house than running the farm these days. Although, a rooster who cannot crow effectively is of little use anywhere else, I suppose.â
Tojiâs expression held firm onto the casual smugness he wore, but inside he was boiling.Â
Toji knew exactly what Sukuna was referring to.
Since his late wife passed, Toji had been only sent for specialized jobs that required his immense powerhouse abilities. Although he could easily air out a room of 20 men, Toji was considered to be more of a loose cannon than ever before.
Simply not caringâToji took his anger out on more than just his targeted kills with no second thoughts given to the collateral damage of the environment he was in nor the civilian casualties around. Thus Toji made the damage control messier and harder on the organization in cases where more precision was needed.Â
Some would have called that a liability and had him dealt with, yet the bigger liability still would be trying to âdeal withâ Toji in the first place.Â
Many had tried over the years for one reason or anotherâand it had been a guaranteed death sentence every time too.Â
Regardless, Toji had remained dog loyal to the organization though, with little care for power or status, even though it came to him anyway.Â
As long as he was paid, Toji had been contentâand in turn, so had the organization.Â
This resulted in Toji mostly being able to do as he pleased, even when he went a little rogue at times.Â
âRooster, ehââ
Toji knew Sukunaâs condescending smug attitude stemmed from the special privileges heâd been given to sit in on the executive meetings to solve the current unrest of having to do with whatever old fuck of an executive had gotten himself offed.
Regardless, it could still be seen as a loss of status not being in those meetings.
More importantlyâTojiâs rogue behaviors could easily be manipulated into a target on his back should Sukuna assert heâd been a part of the internal treason.
Toji knew he had to tread cautiously with Sukuna, but Toji still did not feel threatened in the least.
ââIâd like to think of myself here as more of a fox though, it suits me better donât ya think?âÂ
Tojiâs gaze had briefly met your own, and you quickly turned away, his grin growing even wider.
But then again, if Sukuna wanted to think Toji was down and outâToji would let him.Â
It would work to Tojiâs advantage in the long run with securing you as his anyway.Â
Toji wasnât worried as he had nothing to do with that old geezer getting wacked and he was glad theyâd left him out of it.
Besides, Sukuna being brought into the inner circle could have just as easily been a way to keep a closer watch on him. After all, Sukuna wasnât an executiveâand while Toji was, his role was to eliminate threats, not uncover them. It made more sense for Toji to stay away than for Sukuna to be involved at all.
All which was a net win for Toji, as he found himself with more opportunities to spend time with you, while the organization conveniently kept Sukuna occupied.
With a swift, smooth motion, Toji bent down to retrieve the stray apple that had rolled from your grocery bag. He polished it against his suit jacket before handing it back to you with a sly smile.
âYa know, I am just next door lilâ hen. This olâfox is still capable of being a good neighbor. Iâll always have plenty of sugar for you too, should you ever find yourself in needâŠâ
Toji turns to Sukuna.
â...Especially since Sukuna has his hands full on the upper levels of the farm these days, eh? Sâa wonder at all how ya manage to visit the hens on this floor too.â
Toji watched with amusement as your eyes widened at the blatant innuendos given right in front of Sukuna, who merely was left growling as his cell audibly and persistently vibrated.
Sukuna deemed the call more important than the coded banter with Toji, as he all but dragged you and Yuji into the condoâleaving the groceries for Uraume to bring in.
Although he had won the battle of the day, Toji regretted his actions later that evening when he inevitably lost the war.
Sukuna made sure to let it be known Toji lost too, as Sukuna had fucked you against the adjoining wall of the master bedroom so hard the entire wall shook.
Your pained yet pleasure-filled moans seeped through the thick insulation of the walls.
Using you like you were just one of his toys, Sukuna was quite literally pounding the point home that you belonged to him with every forceful quake.
Point taken, but what angered Toji more was Sukuna was being too rough with you.
Toji could have sworn he heard you plead for Sukuna to slow down and the irony of his concern was not lost on Toji.Â
Toji was never known for being a particularly gentle lover himself, but your body had been through enoughâyouâre a mother now.Â
You deserved better than the careless treatment of some cheap plastic fuck doll.Â
Nevertheless, despite the roughness, it was clear from the diluted moans through the insulationâyou had liked it.
Sukuna was still making you cum.Â
And oh god, did Toji ever want to prove to your precious pussy that his thick inches would fuck her even harder if thatâs what she asked of him.
Toji had to repress a frustrated groan when he realized he was painfully hard.Â
Your damped cries had Toji palming himself for relief before he even knew what he was doing.
Yet for all the perverse arousal he felt, Toji did feel some semblance of guilt.Â
His taunting of Sukuna ensured that this punishment was a lesson for the both of you.
ButâFuck.Â
Toji couldnât deny his sadistic side.
He was a killer after all.Â
Even the distressed tremor of your euphoric moans sounded absolutely heavenly to him, and it wasnât long before Toji fumbled with his own belt to drag out his heavily leaking cock.Â
Thick humid breaths left Toji as he hissed from having thumbed off the viscous pre-gathering on his redden tip.Â
Toji slowly spread it down his pulsing length, shuddering.Â
His frustrations at not being the one touching youânot being the one making you shiver and moan, are only rivaled by his frustration of this being the first time heâs had any real fire in his loins since heâs met you.
The fierce desire to cum was overtaking his more rational brain or self-control as heâd hadnât been this hard in weeks, even when heâd rub one out from watching old security footage of you.
Wanting any semblance of contact, Toji placed his free hand on the wallâon the exact spot he imagined Sukuna had your cheek pressed against.Â
With closed eyes, Toji pictured himself cupping your face, thumb smoothing away any stray hairs or tears while he is the one thrusting into you, filling you.
His large hand encompassed his length while he thrusted into his rough palm, faster now that the speed of the thumping had increasedâsignaling Sukuna was close to finishing you.
Swallowing a frustrated roar, your muted cries for Sukuna through the wall brought Toji out of his fantasies and back to the harsh reality that Sukuna was the one balls deep in your tight milf pussyâwhile he was only in his own hand.
Nevertheless, Toji was determined to cum and even more so, determined to soon be the one making you scream in pleasure.Â
If you were this loud nowâyouâd be much louder on his cock.Â
Toji leaned in even closer, resting his head on his forearm against the wall, the wall that still shuddered with the force of Sukuna ruthlessly rearranging your guts.Â
Forcing himself to dissociate once more, so he could finishâToji squeezed his eyes shut tightly as he bit his lip to the point of drawing blood. In the daydream, in Tojiâs mind, it wasnât the coarse skin of his palm that stroked his cock but the silky, wet heat of your cozy lilâ cunt.Â
Toji convinced himself that the sloshing noises that rang throughout his bedroom were from him stretching your pussy to his shape as his fat tip slammed against your cervixâ and not from the embarrassing amount of pearlescent fluid spilling over his hand.Â
He hadnât even cum yetâa testament to how backed up he truly was.Â
Toji should have been ashamed at the way his girth had pulsed in his palm, but he was so close, and so determined to finish with you, there was no room for ego.
Picking up speed to nearly the point of chafing, Toji jerked his cock feverishly. Toji came when he heard the loudest moan yet vibrate through the wall, and the banging had ceased with a final jarring shake.Â
Rolling back his eyes, Toji released his load all over the wall of his master bedroom, finally sated. Toji had allowed himself to release a strangled groan of relief, once he believed you both were no longer near the wall.
Panting and half-delirious with euphoric release, Tojiâs eyes followed the trail of his thick cum splatter slowly trickling down the wall as his once engorged cock deflated in his hand.Â
With a curled lip and narrowed-in eyes, the white fluid turns red in his mindâs eye.Â
A dark chuckle escaped his lips and Toji fantasized what it would be like to put a slug right between Sukunaâs eyes. Tojiâs large load pooled onto the floor in a similar fashion to how Sukunaâs brains would leak, spilling out as it also formed a similarly morbid pool of fluids.
Yet even despite his more ruthless inclinations, upon inhaling a deep breath, Toji felt an unfamiliar zen wash over him.
Killing was just business to Toji, and he couldnât recall the last time the thought of offing someone had brought him this much pleasure or any semblance of peace.
Yet the fact revealed itself to him then, in that momentâthe truth that heâd kill everyone in this goddamn organization for you if that's what it took.
Toji knew Sukuna wasnât one of those cowardly fucks who would just roll over while someone moved in on his woman either, so Toji would likely be forced to kill him should Sukuna ever find out his true plans for you.Â
Toji sighs reluctantlyâit was just a mere fantasy.
Not that he gave two fucks what would happen to Sukuna, but killing him would only fan the flames and might even cause an all-out internal war within the organization.Â
A war that as the top assassin, heâd be expected to quell with forceâfor god knows how long.
Ultimately, that would mean a loss for Toji too.
The more involved with the organization he was, the less time heâd get with you.
Brute force was never the ideal way to deal with someone like Sukuna, and it would be better for everyone if you seemingly left him of your own accord.Â
But what other choice did he have?Â
Heâd do what it took to get you at the end of the day.
And while these complications may have deterred a younger Toji, you, as well as the challenge itself, breathed new life into his aging bones.
That life extended into all areas of his current one. Even the usually reserved Megumi had become less quiet and more responsive to Toji with his changed demeanor and increased presence around The Nursery.
You didnât even know how much you were fixing his life even if you were only on the outskirts of it now.Â
You had made him betterâso in turn, he would give you better.
Toji had no real interests, hobbies, nor friends.Â
Your moving-in had been the most exciting thing that had happened to him since she had been alive and Toji had lived the last year of his life on autopilotâbut no more.Â
Now that he had something, well, someone that made him feel energized once again.Â
âĄ
The familiar trill of a cell phoneâone of the many burners he used for his yakuza dealingsâpulls Toji out of his thoughts once again.
His lip curls in annoyance at the person on the line.
This is why Toji likes working alone.Â
Others were not only liabilities, but they were rarely ever self-sufficient.Â
Always wanting to âcheck-inâ and âconfirm the planâ, rather than just taking the damn action themselves like they were supposed to.Â
But alas, the task of getting rid of Sukuna was something Toji knew he couldnât do alone, he needed the intel source, even if they were unreliable at best.Â
Toji answers the call, but keeps it brief with his clipped replies.
By the time it ended, he was already scoffing, indifferent to the voice still speaking on the other end as he cut the call short and hung up as soon as he got the info he needed.Â
Shoving the phone into his back pocket, Toji sparks another cigarette.
His 'partner' had so kindly reminded him of the loose ends he still needed to tie up.
But that could wait.Â
For now, Toji remained where he was, stationed on his balconyâready to stay out here all night for the small chance you may need him.

Alley Boyfriends Part 2
It turns out pretending to be a fake boyfriend involved more planning than Danny had realized was necessary.
Personally, he was thinking he would occasionally be asked to hold Tim's hand in semi-public, tell people about maybe three or four fake dates, and be done with it.
Tim, on the other hand, created a backstory that would make any Dungeon Master weep in complicated worldbuilding joy.
"Why would we keep our relationship a secret? It has to be a valid reason for why we meet in a back alley most of the time but still go out in public to eat." Tim asked him, three notebooks spread around him. All three were written in code, but once they finished creating the tale to his preference, Tim planned on burning them.
Cause that was something people in Gotham did. He wasn't even joking. One of his coworkers invited him to a journal-burning just last week. He went to see what it was about, turns out it was this cities verson of a block party. There were a lot of little groups hudled around movaible fire pits, throwing in paper, laughing and drinking and just being merry.
He checked online to ensure he hadn't accidentally joined a cult. He hadn't; Gotham was just like that.
"I'm from the Midwestâa small town in the Midwest. Maybe I'm not out yet?" Danny suggests with a shrug, slumping in his chair to get comfortable.
Tim snaps his fingers at him with a manic light in his eyes. "That's brilliant. We'll have to go through all your social media to screen for any hints of you being in the alphabet mafia. Now, why would you worry about being spotted four states away? Internalized homophobia?"
Danny shrugs, watching Tim consider his notes, flipping between pages on all three notebooks. Apparently, to ensure their cover story worked, Tim needed to have a notebook dedicated to three themes. The first was their Mental choicesâsuch as a profile of their personalities both before and after their "dating," when they fell in love, and how their upbringing affected them in romantic relationships.
Physical choiceâsuch as how many times they held hands and where the dates were, their attraction types in the pshycal sense, and where they met.
Finally, there weres the Narrative choicesâthese were people outside their couple. Who saw what, when, and how?. Social media was in there.
"No. That doesn't make sense." Tim sighs showing him the Narrative one. On it are a jamble of words, written so tiny, even if they were noraml Danny would not understand them. "See? Your online humor is about thirty percent gay. Not to mention you've been to Pride in Gotham already."
Tim taps the other notebook, where, supposedly, he is gesturing to the proof of Danny being too comfortable in gay spaces to have internalized homophobia. Danny wonders why he needs this much information, and who the hell would look so far into their fake realtionship.
Once again he wonders who Tim is. Oh, he's been making coffee for the other for days now. Always having his travel mug ready to go at seven am sharp for the other to pick up in the Alley, and had texted him for quick meet ups to trade Heart Attak Coffee.
Sometimes they would send funny memes to each other, and ask eachother about their day. They messaged but it waswn't really deep.
It's also been too late to ask Tim for his last name. It would be embarrassing to admit he either forgot when the other told him or he forgot to ask. His mother would be horrified by his manners.
"It would be sense if we were closer to your hometown, but this would barely hold up against my employees, much less the family." Tim sighs taking a long sip of his coffee. At once, Danny watches his whole body relax, and his eyes light up.
He wonders about that too. Tim reacted to Heart Attack coffee like a ghost interacting with their Obsession.
Tim isn't dead or died from what Danny can tell, but he had obvious signs of death around him. Not enough to be liminal like Jazz, so he wasn't ecto-exposed nor haunted.
He has likely just been in many life-threatening situations. Danny had noticed back in Amity that people like firefighters, military, police officers, and the like- those whose entire jobs meant putting themselves at risk- had the sense of Death gently curling around them. Almost like a flirtation.
He seen a lot more people like that in Gotham, though ussally they were on the opposite side of the previous named workers and he realized that Tim had to be involded in something.
Something big, if the nice suits, expensive coats, countless flowers, tips, and free lunches were any indication. Should he be worried about being in a fake relationship with him?
"Oh! We're a secret because this is both of our first boyfriends!" Tim cheers after a moment. "We are both worried about two different things. I don't want to mess things up due unresolved attachment and abandonment issues not to mention my terrible self-worth and communication skills."
That.....is terrifying self-aware. Danny can only stare as Tim nods his head, flipping some pages and writing more notes down. He switches between green and blue ink pens whenever he is writting so he knows which note applies to who.
Danny thinks he's green.
"You, on the other hand, have a mix of fear of your family finding out, terrible self-esteem due to years of bullying, and fear of commitment. I think we both can play off feeling that if we can't be of use to people, they will leave us mentality, so we never set up proper boundaries just to be safe." Tip pauses, tapping the pen to his bottom lip, eyes focused intensely on his work.
There is a hint of....ghost in his eyes, gleaming just behind his humanity.
He is Ghost King, which means he does not control or know when someone dies, as that is out of his jurisdiction. Not everything that dies becomes a ghost, just like not every ghost has ever lived after all.
In fact, not all of his citizens were humans to begin with or came from humans.
He had command of demons, in the same sense that he did concepts like Time (Clockwork) because they were between Realms. The ones that fell between the cracks of the fabric of worlds were Danny's.
Still, he came to recognize that someone had the potential to be one when their time came. Tim was most definatily a ghost in the making.
That left the question. What would be his Obsession once Tim finished forming?
Something directly involved in his death like Box Ghost (Crushed by a box due to his co-workers' careless prank?) Or something he felt he should have been given in life like Young Blood (Too sick to enjoy his childhood like other children and resentful of neglectful parents who ignored his pain?)
Danny tried to picture it, but they could see a glowing figure racing about wanting coffee and being unnecessarily involved with event planning.
Then again, he thinks, watching as Tim takes small glances at him as if making sure he is still there. He might be Obsessed with routines and being needed by people.
It wasn't really about the lack of caffeine. Instead, it was about the fact Heart Attack Coffee had been a comfort since childhood. Tim needed to feel like he was in control. Danny noticed that the second the other had burst into tears after being denied the coffee.
It was like taking Ember's guitar. His soul had dimmed. That's why Danny gave it to him while carefully checking to ensure Tim wasn't being Overshadowed. If he was, then he would kick the ghost's ass in the alley, away from wandering eyes.
He shivers again when a coldness from his chest zips across his limbs. Ever since Danny developed his ice core, he felt that he had been susceptible to the cold. He still remembers the day his core formed, how he was shivering in the summer to Sam's and Tucker's confusion.
He often found himself piling on scarves and sweaters, even when outside of winter.
Gotham wasn't nearly as cold as Amity Park- they would get a lot of snow compare to here- but it didn't seem to matter to his core.
He gets up to drag over the space heater and figures he may as well get some hot chocolate. His stomach growls, reminding him food would be a good idea, too. "You want something to eat Tim?"
There is a grunt that he learned meant "Yeah, I can eat" from Tim's hunched-over form. He smiles, grabbinghe throw blanket to wrap around himself.
His apartment wasn't too bad considering it was close to Crime Alley. It was odd and a bit outdated, but it was enough space for one person, the hot water lasted longer, and there was no mold or break-ins.
It nearly made up for the fact the walls were paper thin, which did nothing to keep the bitter Jack Frost out; his landlord shut off the heat a few weeks ago for "maintenance" and did not turn it back on.
According to his neighbors, he always does so to save funds. It sucked, but none of them could afford to move away, Danny included.
It would be bearable if Danny's insides weren't literally freezing.
He starts to cook a nice warm soup, chopping up some chicken and noodles, mindful of Tim's continued muttering in the background. It's nice, like having his own white noise machine.
A second wave of ice-ice cold races over his body. Danny glances at Tim, but it seems the other had gotten comfortable near his space heater, and it would be rude to take it across the room just because he was cold when his guest was already using it.
Maybe he'll buy a second one at the second-hand store on his next paycheck. He watches his soup boil as he adds some spices for flavoring, curling in on himself as the throw blanket seems to not be warming him fast enough.
He hates when he gets cold fits like this. They don't happen as often now that he pratice with his ice core but they effect his human side the longer he goes without ising his ice powers.
In a anti-meta city like Gotham he just hasn't found a safe place to do that yet.
Danny's hands ache from the trembles running through them- he slips on some gloves, trying to squeeze warmth back into it. He then goes across the room to the hooks by the wall after giving in, there he puts on a scarf, his coat and a beanie so his ears can warm up too.
"Are you cold?" Tim asks as Danny returns to the stove
Danny laughs from where he is stirring the soup. It is such an understatement he can't do anything else. "Freezing."
"Why not turn up the heat?"
"Landlord shut it off." Danny shrugs at Tim's look of disbelief. "It's okay I've gotten used to it. Just need to make a nest of clothes later to warm up. Soup will help too."
"Does he shut off your heat often enough that you've gotten used to it?" Tim's voice is strangely flat. Danny shrugs.
"He shuts off stuff, like the AC and electricity all the time. A month ago, he shut off the water; that was a rough two weeks." Danny jokes, thinking of how often he had to use the public bathrooms at the library to brush his teeth; he showered in the community gym. He tells Tim this. "Thank the Ancients for the Waynes. If it wasn't for them funding the gym, library, and laundry mat I probably would have it worse"
Tim stares at him for a long minute. Without a word, he reaches for his work laptop, which lay close to the side in favor of the notebooks two hours ago.
Danny isn't sure what exactly Tim does for workâhe isn't sure it's legal, so he reframes from askingâbut he does know that recently, he has been over to Danny's apartment a lot more to hash out the details and doing remote work at the same time.
He boots it up, fingers flying over the keyboard at a speed that still impresses Danny, even after seeing him type for the past few days. Assuming he returned to work, Danny returned to his own task. He carefully pours them both two bowls- mindful of his gloves- and warms up the mild for their hot chocolates.
They are not the healthiest of combinations, but both boys are comfortable with odd food choices. He caries the tray back to the table, blaket dragging behind him.
Tim stares intensely at the screen, nodding thanks to him when he puts a bowl down by his hand. "What do you think of this?"
Danny glances at the screen and sees a really lovely penthouse. It's spacious, overlooking Gotham's diamond district with five rooms, two baths and even a boucany pool and hottub.
It screams money, with its large arched windows, dark carpet, and grey pillars. He even spots a grand piano in the living room. Danny whistles, "Damn, I would love to live there."
"Okay, it's yours," Tim says, clicking the chat box with the realtor. He types out a quick agreement for the purchase and opens another tab with his private banker and lawyers, commanding them to have the place ready for him in two daysâall without reaching for his mouse. An agreement comes through before Danny can do anything other than gawk as Tim adds his name to the owner's list.
Tim seems unaware of Danny's flabbergasted look of awe as he taps into a few more tabs, researching cleaning crews and moving companies. "We can move you on your day off. The cleaners can help you pack if you need it while you're at work, and the moving crew can get it over the city for you. I'm also buying this place. It's ridiculous that he just shuts things off. "
Just who in the world is this guy!?
____________________________________________________
Across the city, Babs stares at Tim's online orders. She has been told to keep an eye on himbecause Jasons worries about his suspected drug problem.
Everyone in the family has been somewhat uneasy about the possibility. Babs will admit her heart broke when she found hours and hours of him meeting the same shady looking teenager entering the same back alley over and over again.
He always came out looking flustered and a bit jittery, and she also thought it wasn't a secret lover like Bruce and Dick had hoped. She had always been a least optimistic, and her cameras- even the ones she hacked into to review recorded surveillance for the past three showed her the ugly truth.
Tim was an addict.
She had been working on her letter for the intervention they would be holding for him, typing past her tears, when this popped up. She blinks and takes her glasses off to wipe them before checking to see if she is seeing correctly.
But nope, the words stay the same. She slowly reaches for her headset and clicks it on. At once, her ear overflows with various voices from everyone on the field.
Tim is the only one not out currently, but she can clearly see why.
"Tim just bought a penthouse for Danny Fenton. He also has two sets of cleaning crews, one to Fenton's address and one to his own. Two sets of moving crews have been added to both addresses, each ending at the same penthouse. He's going to be living with him," She announces, silencing everyone at once. "Does that sound like drug dealer behavior?"
"Omg," Dick cries at once. Relief and joy overlap his voice as he screams into the mics "Love wins!"
"Let's not celebrate too soon. We still have to figure out what the hell those alley meetings are about," Jason warns. "If it is a drug dealer, moving in together will be the worst thing possible to T."
"Agree. We prob him but carefully so he doesn't catch on." Bruce comands "Act as ussual to get as much information out of Tim."
"So.....we throw him a house warming/investation on his boyfriend party?" Steph asks the sound of wind accompanies her words. She is likely grappling towards Danny's apparment to check on Tim.
She has gotten the habit of doing so ever since Danny has been flagged by Jason. Steph has reported the same thing evertime. Tim seemed to just been doing work at Danny's table, drinking teas and cuddling together in front of Danny's cheap tv.
She thought it was all very domestic, even when her eyes tracked every movement Danny made. Of course she couldn't get too close least Tim would catch on.
"Exactly."

|| Make...Love?
Shoto Todoroki x reader
Tsuyu hosted a sleep over at her room and all of Class 3-A girls are invited. Obviously, a sleep over won't be complete without fluffy cushions, games, gossips and a special mention of Yaoyorozu's tea.
You guys have been playing truth or dare for a while, it's just you and Uraraka that hasn't got their turns which makes you uneasy. You honestly don't know what Mina would ask you to do and you've already seen the things the girls did. One thing's for sure, this woman is scary.
"So...... Izuku right?" Mina asked as she turned to Uraraka who's face is now turning bright red.
"I don't like where this is going" Uraraka replied, trying to hide her flushed face in the palm of her hands, which activated her quirk, causing her to float around the room.
Mina giggled a little maniacally at Ochaco's words. In her head, she's thinking of all the things she would have her do, but you know she won't torment the poor girl that much. The pink haired removed "truth" as a choice because according to her, that's no fun at all. The girls agreed, including you, which you kind of regret now.
"So the dare is--" she paused, thinking for a second. "You need to send Midoriya a selfie. You can't tell him it's for a dare tho" this made Uraraka groan as she sat back beside Jirou.Â
"Oh! You need to ask his opinion about your new necklace as well" Hagakure added and Yaoyorozu agreed. The girls gave each other a high five while Uraraka let out a defeated sigh.
She opened her front camera and positioned the phone above her head, tugging on the chain slightly. She showed us the picture before sending it to Izuku. The picture was rather suggestive in your opinion; the angle made her necklace pop up, but the top part of her bossom is visible in the background, it didn't help that her face is a little red in the photo as well. Â
Uraraka:Â Â *Sent a photo*Â
Deku-kun, what do you think of new my necklace?Â
                                                                  message delivered
Â
"Now we wait" Mina cheerfully said and turned to you "You've been awfully quiet y/n" you can't help but to notice that grin plastered on her face and you know damn well she's up to no good.
"Let's get this over with" you told her with a sigh. You just wanted to quickly finish whatever suffering she's going to put you through.
Jirou pulled out her phone, searched for something before handing it to Mina. While they were busy discussing something, you nervously turned to Momo who's currently adjusting the eyeglasses he took from Iida "Can I back out?"Â but she just gave you a cheeky smile and a pat on the shoulder. "Goodluck"Â
Momo was the first one to be dared; her dare was to walk up to Iida, grab his glasses, wear it in front of him and walk away without saying anything. Tsuyu was dared to sit on Shoji's lap for 20 minutes. Hagakure had to confess on her long time crush, Ojiro, and lastly, Jirou was dared to shower Denki with praises for 10 minutes straight. Mina, on the other hand, was dared to kiss Bakugo on the cheeks, and you can already guess what happened next.                                                        Â
A phone was shoved into your line of sight. "You need to do this" Mina said while she pointed at the phone with a video playing. You look at her horrified but she just laughed at your face.Â
"But with who?" Tsuyu asked.
"Todoroki" Uraraka grinned.Â
"Yep. Definitely Todoroki." Jirou crossed her arms and nodded while her eyes are closed.Â
You looked at them confused. Although you do have a crush on Shoto, you have never told anyone about it nor show even a slight interest at him. You can feel your face heat up at the sudden realization that your friends knows about your little crush on him all along.Â
You sighed in defeat and just accepted the dare. What can possibly go wrong, right?
"We'll be watching" Mina winked at you as you guys marched towards the common area where the boys are hanging out. The girls stopped by the stairs, peeking a little. You made your way towards the couch where Kirishima and Shoto are sitting. Â
"Yo, y/n" Kiri greeted you and you just replied with a nod.
You sat beside Shoto who was munching on a chocolate chip cookie. He offered you a piece which you happily took and ate beside him.Â
"Oh this is good! Who made this?" you asked.
"I made it" Shoto turned to you. "I asked Kirishima and Bakugo to teach me" you nodded and quickly look away. You quietly scanned the whole room; Kiri and Shoto are minding their own business eating the cookies Shoto made, the Baku-squad are playing a video game while Izuku and the others are playing a monopoly game, though Izuku isn't really playing, he's just staring at the screen of his phone, looking very red.Â
You can't help but to chuckle to yourself. You quickly glanced towards the girls and Mina mouthed "now". Unbeknownst to you, Kiri was also looking at the girls direction, when your eyes landed on him, he gave you a confused look and you just replied with an apologetic look. His mouth turned into a circle when realization hits him.
'A game huh' he mouthed and you answered with a nod.
"Shoto" you turned to him.
"Yes?"Â
"Can we--" here goes nothing "make...love?" You can see Kirishima choke on his cookie in your peripheral vision.
"Make love?" he asked, confused.Â
You nodded. You can feel your face heat up. You looked away, not wanting to see the look on Shoto's face, you mentally wished that the couch would swallow you up because of the embarassment you feel.
You don't know what Shoto's response will be, but knowing him, you're sure he'll be nice at least. You mentally braced yourself for a rejection you're about to face. Or so you thought.
"Sure, but do we even have the ingredients for that?"Â
"What?" You and Kirishima said in unison.Â
Shoto looked at you two, confusion visible on his face.Â
"This is the first time I've heard about that dish" he stated. Kirishima snorted and finally let out the laugh he's been holding for so long, while you bit your inner cheek to hold back yours. Shoto on the other hand, ignored the red head and called Bakugo instead.
"Bakugo, can you send me the ingredients for love?" he asked as he pulled out his phone and started searching for the dish called love.Â
"What the fuck, Icy-Hot?!" Bakugo yelled, his eyes landed on Shoto, his face looking like he just heard the stupidest thing in the world. This took the attention of your other classmates as well.
His gaze left his phone, he quickly looked at you then at Bakugo "Y/n said they wanted to make lov-" you hurriedly jumped from your seat to cover Shoto's mouth.Â
"Ah! Oh my gosh don't mind him! It's a dare!" You half shouted. Your classmates just laughed at you, you can feel your face heat up due to embarrassment.Â
'Screw you Mina' you thought to yourself.
"Didn't know you're freaky like that y/n" Denki teased you. The others gave you a teasing look as well.
"It's a dare!" You shouted in horror.Â
"Sure, if you say so" he and the others laughed and get back to playing again. Kirishima, who's laughing with the others, stood up and bid farewell to the both of you. "I'll leave you guys to your own business" he said with a wink.Â
You just sighed. You're pretty sure all of your classmates will be teasing you for the next few days.Â
"Y/n" Shoto mumbled under your hand.Â
You quickly removed your hand from his mouth and apologized. "Sorry" you said awkwardly as you sat back on your spot again.
He just hummed. Silence took over the both of you. You quietly glanced towards the stairs and the girls are nowhere to be seen. They must've gone back to Tsuyu's room. You contemplated whether to go back to her room or not.Â
You let your eyes wander and it stopped at his phone, a search tab was open and it was an article about "make love". You turned to face Shoto, you opened your mouth to explain about the dare, but before you can say something, he pulled you by the collar of your shirt and gave you a peck on the lips.Â
You stared at him, wide eyed.
"I can't exactly give you what you want right now but I'm pretty sure a kiss will suffice?" he said.
"Wha-" he kissed you again. This time it was longer, until it was interrupted when a throw pillow hit the back of his head.Â
"Get a room you fucking dumbasses!!" it was Bakugo.Â
Great.
You gave him a middle finger and was about to talk back when Shoto pulled you away from the scene and lead you towards the second floor.Â
"Where are we going?" you asked.
"Getting a room" he opened the door to his room and shoved you inside.
"Looks like I'm gonna have to give you what you want after all" he smiled at you and locked the door.

pairings: Onyankopon x black reader
warnings: Jean slander, smut 18+
Need you
âAnd then the bitch scoffed and rolled her eyes like I didn't just apologize. I need to find a new place asap cause I swear next time she try me Imma fuck her up- â
âWhat I tell you bout cussing?â Onyâs deep voice filled the room, dark eyes piercing into yours as a warning.
âAnywaysssâ You rolled your eyes, ignoring the side eye he was giving. âYouâve been awfully quiet since I came over. Whatâs going on?â You put your freshly manicured feet in his face.
âNothing youâve just been yapping the whole time.â He smirked.
âRudeâ You gasped, nudging him with your toes.
âNah I'm just chillinâ. You know I like listening to you talk.â He shrugged, placing your legs into his lap. Lighting the blunt he just rolled, a cloud of smoke surrounding him as he took a hit.
âWhateverâ You smiled as he passed it to you.
You and Ony often had moments like these, a smoke sesh usually spent with you talking about your week as he massaged your feet. Your relationship with Ony wasâŠcomplicated. Ever since Sasha introduced you two, y'all were inseparable, constantly getting mistaken for a couple, and who could blame them?
Most thought this because Ony always had to be touching you, whether it was holding your hand, an arm around your shoulder, or a tight grip on your waist. However, for some, it was how you two would always disappear during the function. Claiming you were only talking, but the slight sheen on Onyâs lips and your slightly ruffled clothing told otherwise.
You werenât quite friends with benefits. At least that's what you told yourselves. The whole ordeal just kinda happened. You were stressed over your midterms and Ony of course offered to help you study. Though after hours of reading flashcards and practice tests, you were still stressed and on the verge of tears when Ony offered another way to help you. That night you ended up with your legs in the air as Ony sucked the soul out of your pussy. Ever since then any inconvenience one had, the other would do their best to help relieve the stress. Your roommate upset you? Ony fed you long deep strokes, pampering you with soft kisses while he whispered in your ear. Ony was pissed that his supplier flaked on him? Ony would have the tightest grip on your hips as he drilled into you from behind, claiming the waves of your ass hypnotized him into forgetting what he was upset about. Some days neither of you needed an excuse. Some days you just craved each other.
Despite your unique relationship, you remained friends allowing the other to do what they pleased, though neither you nor Ony slept with or saw other people. Your dynamic was good and worked for both of you. That was until you started seeing Jean.
âYou n that nigga Jean still fuckin around?â He broke the silence, waiting for your answer as your eyes met his.
âOnyâ You groaned, the tight grip he had on your ankles preventing you from moving.
âWhat? I canât ask you questions now?â He kissed his teeth, putting out the blunt.
âNo, because any time you ask about Jean we end up getting into an argument and Iâm really enjoying my time with you right now. So no, you cannot ask.â
âWhatever. Iâm just tryna figure out when you gon stop playing in my face nd be with me instead of his bitchass.â
âOnyankopon '' You shrieked. You never understood why Ony hated Jean till a few weeks ago when Ony drunkenly confessed his feelings. At first, you thought he was joking but the look on his face told you otherwise. For a minute, you were happy. Ony was everything you had wanted in a boyfriend and you two had practically been in a relationship just without the labels. It wasn't till Jean texted you that you got upset. Why confess his feelings when you're finally in a relationship? Deciding it'd be best to forget about it, you put Ony to bed, hoping he'd also forget about his confession. Clearly, you were wrong.
âWhat? I don't understand what you see in him. He's annoying as fuck, and I'm pretty sure he has 4 brain cells. Maximum.â He rolled his eyes at the thought of Jean. âWhy won't you give me a chance when I'm the one for you?â
âWe've talked about this Ony.â You sighed. Conversations like these were becoming frequent and they were so tiring.
âNo mama you've talked nd I've listened.â You thought about it, he wasnât exactly wrong. Silently praying this wouldn't end up in an argument you gave him a chance.
âOkay. I'm listening.â You whispered.
âCâmere,â He released your ankles.
âOny Iâm not gonna-â
â[â]â The dominance in his tone had you clenching around nothing.
Swallowing the lump in your throat, you did as he told. The moment you sat on his lap you just knew how it was going to end.
âWhy you with him instead of me? And don't feed me no bullshitâ His large hands were rubbing up and down your thighs getting dangerously close to your pussy that desperately ached for him.
You tried and you tried but there wasn't any good reason as to why you were Jean. Sure he was cute but he had no idea how to make you feel special and overall just couldn't please you. In multiple ways. The main reason though was that he wasnât Ony. He just asked first.
âI don't know, Onyâ You finally sighed, looking everywhere but him.
Any discipline you had when it came to Ony vanished when his hand wrapped around your throat, the slight pressure on your carotid causing your brain to go fuzzy and your panties to get damp âLook at meâ
âBe real. Pleaseâ Ony released his hold on your neck to grip your thighs.
âYou had the longest opportunity to ask me to be with you but you never took the chance, yet when I'm finally in a relationship you suddenly wanna give up everything and take a chance to be with me and I feel like thatâs not fair to me Ony.â
He rubbed his hands down his face with a sigh. âYou're right.â
"I did have that opportunity and always hesitated. I always assumed it would be just you and me, that you wouldn't pursue other relationships because of our bond. Since the day we met, I've wanted you. I know this is unfair and I'm so sorry princess, but I can't ignore my feelings any longer. Jean can't possibly be the man you want, the man you deserve. But I can. I promise to take the chance if you just give me another opportunity, and I'll do everything in my power to make you proud. Youâre my best friend, my favorite person in the whole universe and I'm determined to be the person you need. I love you [â].â
âOnyâ you huffed, feeling as if all air was being vacuumed out of your lungs at his confession.
âPlease. Lemme show you how much I love you.â He whispered, closing the distance that separated you. âPleaseâ He captured your lips, his usual sweet taste with a hint of spiciness from the weed clouding your thoughts. Oh, how you missed this. Missed him. The kiss was intimate and familiar, the passion growing with each second. Onyâs hands roamed your body, gripping the soft flesh of your thighs before traveling to your ass, taking pleasure in the soft moan you let out, and using the opportunity to slip his tongue past your lips. On instinct, your hips rocked down onto him.
âFuck, baby. I missed youâ He groaned, flipping you onto your back.
âOny we canâtâ You huffed, despite the wetness growing in between your thighs. God he looked so good. His muscles bulged as he took his shirt off, your eyes trailed down his torso, mouth watering at the prominent v-line peeking from his low sitting sweats.
âDo you want this? Yes, or no?â His tongue traced lazy patterns on your skin as he littered your neck with kisses.
âOny I-â
âYes or no [â]?â He nipped on your earlobe, hand dipping below the waistband of your leggings.
âFuck, Onyâ his hand slipped beneath the thin fabric of your thong, fingers slipping through your folds. Gathering your arousal before circling your clit in tight circles. âYes, pleaseâ
âThen shut up and lemme show you how much I love youâ He murmured as he undressed you. Replacing his fingers with his tongue, he lapped at your folds like a starved man, his tongue repeatedly flicking your clit. âMissed you so fucking much. Don't ever give my pussy away again. You hear me?â He muttered, sliding two digits past your entrance. The action was easy with how wet you were.
âOnyâ Your thighs threatened to close around his head.
âAnswer me or I'm stoppingâ He slowed his movements, leaving you needy.
âIt's yours. I'm yours pa, I promiseâ Your legs shook as he continued to give you slow strokes, the addition of another finger having you seeing stars. âO-Ony waitâ You panted, attempting to push his head away but he refused to let up on your pussy, never wanting to stop till he and his couch were soaked in your essence as he lapped at your clit.
âOny Iâm so-fuck I'm so closeâ Your words encouraged him to speed up as he repeatedly hit the spongy spot of your walls. âOnyâ Your walls clenched around his fingers, leaving little room for his fingers to continue as you reached your peak.
Despite your thighs tightening around his head he continued his assault on your pussy. It wasn't until he was finally satisfied with slurping up your arousal, that he pulled away pressing gentle kisses on your throbbing clit as he pulled his soaked fingers out of your walls.
âMissed you so muchâ He mumbled, giving you the nastiest kiss ever, your arousal all over his lower face.
âI missed you tooâ
âYeah?â He grabbed your hips, positioning you on all fours.
âOnyâ You whined, pout forming on your lips as you looked back. His dick standing tall now that it was no longer confined. God, please let me have feeling in my legs tomorrow.
âI know you ain't think I was done. You played in my face and let another nigga hit and think I'm not finna put you back in your place? Nah, both you and this pussy need a reminder of who you belong toâ He slid his dick through your folds, your cream acting as lube.
âMatter a factâ He lined up at your entrance just as your phone started ringing âJean babyâ flashing on the bright screen.
âLemme show this nigga too.â

Longing
Halsin x Fem!Reader
A/N: I have been burning with an intense CRAVING for Halsin and there is such little fic about him (although there are some good ones out there đ) so I had to do my part and add to the pool đ hope yâall enjoy!
Word count: 2.5k
Warnings: fluff, hurt/comfort, reader is insecure about her virginity, talks of inexperience, love confessions, Halsin is a sweetheart, references to NSFW content. Very very minor spoilers for act 2.
Part 2
The fur of the rabbit is soft between your fingers as you prepare it. Yet, despite having a knife in your other hand and your task being a delicate one, you canât seem to focus.
Your eyes keep drifting back to the druid across camp chopping wood for the fire. The axe is a large one, heavy - heavier than youâd be able to lift. Yet the large elf manages to bring it up above his head and swing it back down with a grace you never understood how he possessed.
The muscles in his shoulders ripple with each movement, accompanying the rythmic thump of the axe through wood. His soft grunts as he pulls it from the stump heâs using before placing the next log onto the surface and starting the process all over again.
âThe rabbit is already dead, darling.â
The familiar voice rips you from your staring as your head whips around to see none other than your vampiric companion standing over you, a smirk tugging at his lips. You huff at him before looking down to the rabbit by your knees and heat rushes to your cheeks. What should have been a simple skinning job to get the meat ready for dinner has turned into a mess. Cuts in the wrong places, the hide nowhere near usable anymore.
You look back up just in time to see Astarions red eyes go from you, to Halsin, then back again. His smile grows. He shifts his feet, one arm resting across his chest as he gestures with his other to Halsin.
âYou know, you could paint a portrait. It would last longer.â
Your cheeks somehow get even hotter, as you turn back to the rabbit in front of you, doing a much better job than earlier.
âLeave me alone, Astarion,â you mumble, cursing internally when the elf lowers himself to the ground beside you, arms resting on his knees.
âAnd why would I do that, when teasing you gives me so much joy?â
You canât stop the small smile that tugs at your lips. âOkay, well you got me all flustered. So now thatâs out of the way, did you need something or did you really interrupt your reading to bother me?â
The vampire sighs, leaning back on his hands as he looks over to you. âWhat I need is for you to finally jump that druids bones.â
You nearly choke as the words leave his lips, looking around to see if anyone heard and feeling heat creep up your neck once more as you see Shadowheart failing to hide a chuckle.
You turn to face your friend, eyes narrowed. âCould you be a little more quiet? I donât need the whole camp hearing you.â
Astarion laughs this time, loudly, and it draws more glances than youâd like. You roughly shove the man next to you before he can speak.
âYour next words better be a whisper or Iâm going to stab you â you threaten, poking the knife in his direction.
Astarion places a hand over his heart, faux hurt in his eyes. âYou wound me, darling. Iâm just trying to help you. Plus,â he gestures to the camp, âitâs not like your attraction is a secret, nor Halsinâs.â
You shake your head turning back to grab another rabbit, embarrassment welling up in your chest. âHe doesnâtâŠâ you trail off, getting defensive. âNothingâs there, Astarion. So can we please just drop it?â
Of course, he doesnât.
âLook,â he starts, âall Iâm trying to say is that neither of you are benefiting from holding back soâŠindulge, for once. Gods know we all deserve it.â
You ignore him. Curling in on yourself at the mention ofâŠindulging. There nothing wrong with it of course. Everyone at camp has blown off steam along this adventure. JustâŠnot you.
And the vampire must be able to tell too, because at your silence he straightens up, brows pinching in the rare way that shows heâs concerned.
âWait, have you neverâŠ?â he gestures vaguely in the air.
His words, despite their genuine curiosity, strike a chord in you. You stand abruptly, tossing your work to the ground and stabbing your knife in the dirt.
âNo I havenât. Not that itâs any of your business.â Your words are louder than you intended and draw the eyes and ears of your other companions.
Astarion softens, obviously not expecting this reaction. âI didnât mean to upset you-â
You clench your fists at your sides, interrupting him. âYou never mean to Astarion but -â You cut yourself off, taking a deep breath. âYouâre such an ass sometimes.â
You turn on your heel and storm from camp before anyone can stop you, ignoring the concerned gaze of a certain druid.
âââ
The water is cool against your skin as you squat by the streamâs edge, rubbing at your hands as you try to get the blood off of them.
You feel foolish now, storming off like that. But Astarion pointing out your inexperience just struck you. Itâs not something thatâs ever bothered you before. Especially not in recent months since dealing with the tadpole. You all have more important things to worry about.
But the moment you rescued HalsinâŠitâs like something changed. You were instantly drawn to him. His kind smile and thoughtful words. His care for everyone and everything in nature.
And he flirted with you.
The memory is still fresh in your mind. The night of the tiefling party after you had stopped the ritual at the druid camp and saved Halsin. You were worried you were talking his ear off, but he was attentive the whole conversation. Answering your questions and asking some about you.
Then he said those honeyed words. Suggested celebrating by spending the night with someone special. Implied he would spend it with you if his mind wasnât elsewhere.
You withdraw your hands from the water to drag them down your face as more memories surface.
More flirtatious banter and kind words. Thoughtful conversations and fighting side by side. The night sat by your bedside nursing you back to health after a particularly nasty fight. After Ketheric Thorm almost took you out.
Your side still aches with the memory. But the thought of his hands with their soothing healing glow, makes the ache subside.
You sigh, sitting back into the grass as your eyes lock onto the slowly gurgling stream, Astarion words playing over and over in your head.
Indulge, for once.
You want to. Gods do you want that.
Youâve spent many sleepless nights thinking about it. About his lips against yours, his hands on your skin, the sweet words heâd no doubt whisper against your ear.
You shudder at the thought before shoving it away. Because any time he hinted at that - showed any interest in you - you would be so elated before insecurity took over.
Halsinâs views on love and intimacy are no secret. Youâd asked him once about current lovers and while he did confide no one currently held his affections back home he also expressed that there were others in the past.
Others. Plural.
And youâve never been with anyone. Not physically or emotionally, youâve never trusted anyone enough.
Not until now.
You sigh, frustration creeping back in as you press the heels of your palms into your eyes before quickly standing up. You need to apologize to Astarion and finally, maybe, talk to Halsin.
You turn on your heel to do just that when you run straight into a solid mass. You gasp, stumbling backwards just as two strong hands reach out to steady you, gripping your wrists firmly.
Once steady, you look up to see none other than the man haunting your thoughts smiling down at you.
âYou must have been very deep in thought for someone like me to sneak up on you, little one.â
You have to suppress a shiver at the nickname. A moniker heâd given you since you teased him about his size at the beginning of your friendship.
You shake your head, moving to step away and only stopping when his hands let go only to slip down and take your own gently.
âIâm sorry,â you apologize. âI was justâŠthinking.â
Halsin stares at you for a moment, a thoughtful look on his face before he steps away, gesturing down the first path, one hand still in your own.
âWalk with me?â he asks. âI know being in nature helps me clear my head of even the darkest thoughts.â
You give a hesitant nod and follow him as he turns towards the path, not able to stop the smile when he doesnât drop your hand.
âââ
The walk is mostly silent, a comfortable silence, but silent nonetheless. And you are grateful for it, not sure what you would say if Halsin were to ask what has you so upset.
But, silence canât last forever it seems, because eventually the large Druid breaks through the sounds of nature surrounding you to speak.
âI overheard your conversation with Astarion,â he says, voice gentle. Probing, but not not forcing you to talk if you do not wish.
You stiffen, your pace slowing slightly, wanting to pull away from the man at your side. But his sure grip on your hand keeps you in place. The warmth of his skin on yours puts you slightly at ease.
âYouâŠyou heard that?â you ask, cringing internally. âYou were across camp.â
The druid chuckles, gesturing to his ears with his free hand. âOne of the curses of us elves. Impeccable hearing. Even when we donât wish for it.â
You can feel your shoulders creeping up to your ears. Embarrassment settling in once more. âYou were listening to us? To me?â
Halsin shrugs. âNot intentionally,â he admits, slowing his steps until youâre both stopped and heâs facing you. âBut I find my attention turning towards you more often than not these days.â
His words tie your tongue and before you can gather enough sense to respond he continues.
âNature works in mysterious ways, little one,â he tells you, eyes never leaving your face. âThere is no one way to traverse it, and others journey do not define your own. Each one is unique, as it is intended.â
His words are beautifully woven, as always. And despite his cryptic deliverance, you know the meaning behind his words.
Heâs comforting you. And once again, he speaks before you can detangle the jumble of thoughts in your head.
âAnd,â he reaches out, placing a curled finger beneath your chin to urge you to look up at him, âif itâs any encouragement, I seek you out as much as you do me. Possibly more so.â
Your eyes widen, heart stuttering in your chest at his words. HeâŠdoes he feel the same way? Rationally you know he does. But that ever familiar self doubt, the tiny voice in your mind has always brushed away the flirting - the kind words and gentle touches as just part of his nature. None of it is reserved just for you.
Right?
Halsin smiles, eyes crinkling at the corners gently as he looks down at you. âIs that really such an outlandish thought? That I return your affections?â He pauses, âunless my heart has run ahead of itself and I have misread-â
You stop him then, reaching up to place a staying hand on his own beneath your chin.
âNo! You havenâtâŠyou havenât misread,â you assure him, trying to still your racing heart.
His smile never falters, his other hand finally coming up to cradle the back of your head, teasing soft strands of hair between his fingers.
âThat is good to hear,â he says, pulling you ever closer, his nose almost brushing yours, âit puts this old druid's mind at rest.â
Gods, you canât breathe. The air in your lungs refusing to expel as he lean even closer, lips a hairbreadth away from your own. Your body sings with anticipation, your skin hot despite the cool air ushered in by the sun sinking below the horizon, the days last rays barely filtering through the trees.
âCan I kiss you, my heart?â
Halsins words are soft, barley a whisper and nearly drowned out by the sounds of nature around you and the roaring of blood in your ears.
You nod. âPlease-â
The word barely passes your lips before he descends upon you, sealing his mouth with your own.
Itâs both everything you expected and completely surprising at the same time. His hands are sure as he pulls you into him, one hand still cradling your head as the other slips down to your hip before wrapping around your waist. Yet his lips, the kiss itself isâŠsoft. Gentle. Loving. The action speaks louder than any words either of you have said to one another. Louder than the words you never worked up the courage to speak.
Finally, your mind catches up with you, and your hands slide up his chest to clutch tentatively at his shoulders.
Halsins still hasnât broken away from you, and when his tongue brushes against your lips you let him in. You tug him closer then, one of your hands sliding up to rest at the back of his neck eliminating any empty space between you as his tongue slides against your own.
He only pulls away when he must sense your need for air, but he doesnât go far, lips pressing gently to the corner of your own, and then another to your jaw.
Youâre breathless.
Chest heaving against him, as he pulls away just enough to look at you once more.
âAs much as Iâd love to continueâŠâ his hand squeezes your hip gently, âwe should make our way back to camp. I can imagine our absence as stirred gossip with our vampiric companion and..â he sighs, pressing another soft kiss to your lips. âI donât want to overwhelm you.â
You canât surprise the shiver that runs down your spine, or the smile that tugs at your lips.
âIâmâŠIâm okay being overwhelmed if itâs like that,â you tell him breathlessly.
Halsin laughs, a deep down genuine laugh that makes your heart sing even as he steps away from you.
âThen I will overwhelm you in all the ways I know how.â He promises, eyes trailing over you heatedly.
Your stomach does a flip at his words, and the effect they have on you must show on your face because Halsin chuckles again, leaning in to press one last kiss to your cheek before tugging you back in the direction towards camp.
âAnother night, my heart,â he says, thumb brushing over your knuckles from where your hand remains in his own.
You let out a shaky breath, and nod, smiling as you walk closer to him. âIâm holding you to that.â
âI hope you would, though I doubt I will forget such a promise,â he assures before letting silence blanket you both one more.
You canât stop the thrill that runs through you at his words.
Yes, Iâll hold you to that promise indeed.

------------------
Aaron Hotchner was a leader that youâd known from the beginning. He was your team leader, he was calm, collected, and calculated in everything. His lunch was the same everyday, he didnât drink, didnât smoke, didnât swear all that often, and he wore the same sequence of shirts and suits every week. He was organised.Â
Mondays was a blue shirt with a black suit, Tuesdays was a white shirt with a navy suit, Wednesdays was a white shirt with a black suit, Thursdays was a blue shirt with a grey suit, and Fridays was a white shirt with navy suit. Everything was fine and dandy, you trusted him, and you enjoyed his company. Everything was fine, until it wasn't.Â
One stupid day, 8 whole months after you and your ex had broken up, he just so happens to be at the same bar you and the team are celebrating in, and he mustâve made it his personal mission to find you, to shout at you, to get you back. To piss you off. It hadnât exactly been a good week, but then again, what week is when youâre dealing with murder cases?Â
âY/n,â Penelope sighed, looking out at the rest of the team on the âdance floorâ. âI donât understand,â she drew out the âunderstandâ to a ridiculous length, purely to annoy you. âHow are you two so perfect?â
âKeep your voice down!â you hissed, turning back to her again. âWe may not be at work but this is a work dinner.â
Did I mention he was your boyfriend too?Â
âHave you seen yourself?â she gawked. âYouâre gorgeous! Heâs gorgeous! You two would make perfect babiesâÂ
You chuckled. âI thank you for the flattery, but we can be honest here, heâs fucking gorgeous, and yeah, Iâm alright,â you laughed when she hit you lovingly. âAnd, weâve been together for 6 months, not 6 years. No babies for like⊠a while at least.â
âY/n!â Charlesâ voice rang out in the bar, meaning everyone around you turned to your group. âYou fucking blocked me?!âHe came up behind you, placing a tense hand on your shoulder, gripping the skin there until it hurt. âWhat kind of bitch does that?â
âMe, I guess,â you answered simply, staring straight down at your drink. Charles hadnât been a very good boyfriend, nor a good person, and you didnât really understand why youâd stayed for so long. Something about watching women get killed by their partners kind of snapped you into reality. Not that he was that bad but, he wasnât good.
âYeah right, you bitch. Unblock me, we need to talk about this!âÂ
âAbout what?â you scoffed, rolling your eyes. âWe broke up 8 months ago, let it die Charles.â
âBaby, I miss you,â he leaned in closer, his breath heavy with alcohol. âI miss that pretty pussy too.â
You shuttered with disgust. âGet the fuck off of me,â you punctuated each word carefully and spoke slowly, making sure he heard you.
âDonât be like that baby,â he smirked, tightening his grip. âOr it wonât end well.â  Â
You felt it. The gun in his holster. He wasnât past killing you, you knew that. You knew he wasnât safe. He never had been. He just wanted to get you home and into his bed, and youâd rather that than dead.Â
âGet off of her,â Penelope demanded. He turned his attention to her, and you instinctively reached for your gun, only to remember that you left it at home. You werenât about to let him hurt Pen. âAnd who may you be?â he asked. âDonât,â you gritted out. âYouâre here for me, not her.â
He turned his attention back to you. âI know that sweetheart, I donât see why I canât chat, do you?âÂ
âLetâs just go,â you told him. He nodded, a smug smirk on his face. You got up, his hand stayed on your shoulder the whole time, his other hand on his hip.Â
âGood girl,â his laugh was dirty. Everything about him was dirty and sleazy and it made you sick. But again, better you than Penlope.Â
Penelopeâs eyes searched for someone, anyone to see you. He needed Morgan, o-or Hotch, or just anyone. âHotch!â she called when she finally caught his eye. He rushed over to her.Â
âAre you alright?â he asked, searching her for injury or signs of upset.Â
âY/n a-and this tall guy, he was talking to her and then she just got up a-and left. She looked scared. I-I didnât know what to do,â she stuttered through her sentence, tears building in her eyes.Â
You. Scared. You. Scared. You. Scared. You. Scared. You. Scared. You. Scared. You. Scared. You. Scared.Â
It played in his head like a sick mantra until he finally did something. He rushed out of there as fast as he could. He had to find you. He needed to find you.Â
He ran down the alley beside the bar, nothing. Ran down the road with Morgan on his tail, nothing. Cars werenât even moving, it was just a regular night.Â
âY/n!â Spencer called out to you.Â
There you were. Leaning against a car with him standing over you.Â
The three of them rushed over, ready to just take you back inside. They didnât know how dangerous Charles was, how obsessed he was.Â
âStop!â you warned them. âGo back inside, Iâm alright, I promise.âÂ
âWeâre not leaving you here,â Derek argued. âMan, get off of her-â
Charles scoffed. âShe wants this, sheâs into it. Itâs just some harmless fun!âÂ
Aaron almost recoiled out of disgust. He knew what you were into, and he knew it wasnât this. It had taken you almost the full 6 months youâd been with him to even be comfortable enough to kiss or touch him in public. You didnât talk about it but⊠it did come with the territory of being a behavioural analyst. He noticed how you shied away from the way he touched you sometimes, he noticed how you refused to drink a drop of alcohol, he noticed how you flinched at big noises, he noticed how you held his hand during sex. All of these little things, it led him to one conclusion, youâd been abused.Â
He promised himself if he ever got to meet the fucker, heâd hurt him, if not kill him.Â
Then in came Charles, and thus began the night Aaron Hotchner ended up in jail for aggravated assault.Â
------------------
You sat in the police station, your head hung low. This was all your fault, none of this wouldâve happened if youâd just-
âItâs not your fault,â Aaron whispered as he sat beside you, putting his cufflinks back on. Of course, youâd bailed him out and heâd gotten off with a warning and a fine, which was pretty good considering what he did to the guy. âPlease donât blame yourself.âÂ
You shook your head, willing yourself not to cry. âAaron you got in a fight because of-â
âA choice I made to provoke a dangerous person,â he finished. âA choice I made.â
You nodded. âAaron, your lip,â you placed a gentle hand on his cheek which he leaned into. His lip was split, he had a bruise forming on his head, and you knew his back was sore from the fight. You knew how hard Charles could hit.Â
âMy lip is fine, I promise. The paramedics gave me some painkillers. Are you alright?â
The dreaded question. No, you were hilariously, awfully, un-alright. You had to see Charles again, he touched you again, he talked to you again. You shook your head, tearing up. Aaron didnât shy away. He held you as you sobbed in that police precinct. He didnât care about anyone staring, he didnât care that the team was waiting outside, he didnât care. He cared about you. You were all that mattered in that moment, and every moment after it.

I grew up with abstinence-only sex education, and it did a real number on me. But Iâve shaken off enough of my old cultural programming to realize that the transmission of bacteria and viruses is a thing that sometimes just happens when animals come together, no matter how stringently we might try to prevent it.
I have gotten urinary tract infections when a stray microbe found its way into my urethra after sex. Lube and bodily fluids have disturbed my vaginaâs pH and caused a yeast infection many times. So has wearing a bathing suit for too long without drying it, yet another âriskâ worth the pleasures of swimming along the sea wall.
Once or twice Iâve had an outbreak of cold sores, just like 80% of humans. If Iâm like most people, I probably caught oral herpes when I was very young, sharing a sippy cup or rolling around at a sleepover.
None of this makes me disgusting, irresponsible, evil, or dangerous to others. It just makes me a living creature that exists in close contact with other creatures. I believe I have a responsibility to get tested regularly, to alert people who have been close to me when I get sick, and to use preventative measures like condoms, PreP, vaccines, toys, and masks to prevent the spread of infections as best I can. But I never imagine I can lead a life without risk â or that such a life would even be desirable.
There is no such thing as completely âsafeâ sex. A friend of mine canât use condoms because they give her bacterial vaginosis. She chooses instead to fuck raw and take PreP and get anything else she catches treated. A guy I know who masks and tests religiously caught COVID while fisting someone (with a gloved hand!) at an air-filtered party. HPV is so prevalent that most sexual wellness clinics donât bother testing for it, and canât do much for a patient if they do have it. Our bodies are teeming at all times with various endemic viruses and microbes that we will never have the power to purge.
Then there are the possible costs of not having sex â vaginal atrophy, pelvic floor weakening, reduced access to endorphins, loneliness, touch starvation, the despair of harboring dreams that one never dares try. I canât decide for anyone else which dangers loom the largest, but for me a gonorrhea shot is a fair trade for the hours of leg-cramping, bed-staining, hypno-kinky sex that led to it. Thereâs no guarantee that the next time I have sex it will be anywhere near as much fun, but the potential keeps me throwing the dice.
I hear quite frequently from sexually inexperienced Autistic people who crave an intimate connection, but desperately wish to remain responsible and âsafe.â They want there to be a set of iron-tight rules they can follow that will guarantee they remain a virtuous person who never hurts anyoneâs feelings, and never catches any sexually transmitted infection.
I understand why they want someone to impose order onto an unpredictable, terrifying world. But I canât give that certainty to them, nor can anyone. All I can suggest is that they be honest with themselves about what they want, inform themselves of the costs and benefits to pursuing their desires, and then venture forward â proudly welcoming the correct risks into their life, rather than trying to avoid any risks at all.
Life is nothing but a negotiation of risk. If a person has gender dysphoria and they want to combat it, they must risk a transition they could one day regret. If an abolitionist wants to take a stand against the police state, they must plan for the possibility of arrest or political repression. When we open our hearts to love, we expose ourselves to grief â our partners will keep changing and growing, sometimes away from us. Each step that we take forward in life closes off potential paths. There is no avoiding this.
Instead of chasing after the false promise of âsafety,â trying to remain completely insulated from harm and challenge forever, we must get better at admitting risk into our lives.
I wrote about all about the messy business of risk mitigation, and how the pursuit of perfect safety is used to justify isolation, theft of bodily autonomy, and political repression. It's free to read (or have narrated to you by the app!) at drdevonprice.substack.com

Friend Shaped
The professor clacked his beak sharply three times in the front of the room. The students, around 40 individuals, and many species from across the galactic arm hushed almost immediately. âWelcome back, class. The day for your first planet-side mission to Nemulon 3 is fast approaching, and we've still got a lot of safety training to cover, so let's get started.â The professor stepped aside to allow a projection to display against the board behind him. A picture of a blue, green, and gray planet shone brightly against the dark tapestry of space. Nemulon 3 had been discovered deca-orbits ago but offered a wide variety of biomes that were the perfect blend of challenging and safe to train new recruits to the Galactic Allianceâs Exploration Fleet. âToday we're covering some alien fauna you may encounter while conducting exploratories. Most are small enough that they won't pose much of an issue, but we do have a few category 5 lifeforms that you need to be aware of.â The display behind the professor changed from an image of Nemulon 3 from orbit to a chart topped by 5 images with their respective labels: karindru, oold, dini-dini, barintuna, and great lavalen. Before the professor could start in on the next part of his lecture, a voice spoke out from the middle of the classroom.âThat looks like a dog.â The professor stood with his beak half open. He was certainly not used to being interrupted, let alone this early in the lesson. âA what?â He finally choked out. There was a pause as if the offending student was thinking better about drawing more attention to themselves before slowly putting their hand up in the air. It was a human. Cadet Valentina, if the attendance role had been accurate. âI said it⊠it looks like a dog.â Human Valentina inhaled as if gathering the courage to say more. âThey're a carnivorous canine species on earth that humans domesticated thousands of cycles ago and selectively bred to be pets.â The professorâs beak closed with a snap and some of the features near the base of his neck ruffled slightly. âNemulon 3 is 47 light years away from Earth. Any similarities between each planetâs fauna is purely coincidental, a product of parallel evolution.â The human bowed her head and said nothing else, so the professor continued. âNow, for many of you of larger stature, a single karindru might not pose much of a threat, but their real danger comes from their numbers. They live, travel, and hunt in packs. Thankfully, their method of communicating with each other in their packs are quite loud, so you will hear them long before you see them, and hopefully, before they see you. Typically youâll hear anything from yipping, chirping, and howling.â âKind of like coyotes.â The professor stopped and stared at the human again, feathers ruffling once again. âAnother kind of canine species back home,â Valentina offered quietly. If the professor was capable of growling, he might have been tempted to at that moment. Instead, he sighed slowly. âI can assure you, trying to get close to these will likely end with your injury or death.â âWell, that's what ancient humans thought about wolves too, but then we bred them into dogs and now theyâre our best friends.â âKarindru are not, nor are any native creatures on this planet, your friend. Not now, not ever.â The professor turned sharply back to the board. The entire class was dead silent. Few even dared to breathe. It was quiet enough, in fact, to hear the human mumble under their breath, âIf not friend, then why friend-shaped?â
The human was promptly given detention and assigned extra homework of writing âI will not try to domesticate any native fauna on Nemulon 3â one hundred times by hand.
