"Die Discounter", Amazon Prime series (submission)
Hi there,
I’m horrified while writing this. Obviously, we all have and enjoy our ships, but I actually do have a problem with the following.
Amazon Prime’s “Die Discounter” (a series), features actual real life brothers that play a gay couple (Jonas and Kalle) in Season 2. I stopped watching after S02E05 where said brothers were wrestling, making out and having sex.
I really don’t understand the choice of casting and how those actors went along with it, but ok, not me to judge I guess.
I’m drawing my line at actual siblings (don’t get me wrong, I love Aegon and Helaena, but that’s just a fantasy story). Still, maybe some of you haven’t heard of that series yet.
I don’t have a problem with this, but I’m amazed it happened. I couldn’t find much online about this, maybe because the series is only available in German.
That’s crazy!

Hey, Shipcestuous - shipcestfan here. Not sure how many of your readers are aware but reddit has a board titled incest relationships that is pretty interesting. The stories/posts seem genuine and heartfelt about people in cestships - some very heartfelt. Few of the posts talk about sex like some others on reddit.
I’ve concluded that the posts fall into one of 3 types. Either, (1) someone feeling guilty and wanting advice on how to end it, (2) someone torn between the morality and desire to continue, and (3) those that have accepted the relationship and plan to continue.
Ofc with reddit, you never know what is made-up and what is real, but many of the posts on this board seem genuine, well written and seemingly thoughtful, so I’m leaning toward they’re real. Just thought I would mention it. The name is incest relationships with an underscore between the two words and then the usual r slash in front of it.
Personally, I’d rather read the stories here at ship-two, but the reddit board has a lot of traffic. Happy reading.
--
Thanks for the the info!
http://reddit.com/r/incest_relationships
I’m glad to know there’s a place where people aren’t afraid to share.

Man, just saw a post about it, but renewed my frustration over work nonsense yesterday
Being like, oh, cool! It's disability pride month! We get to switch the displays in the store! I wanna make a really cool display right up front!!
Getting a cart to go start selecting books from our wide array of children's books, picture books, YA novels, adult fiction, nonfiction, etc that I know feature disabled characters and people and that I've seen sitting on the shelves for a while, our previous book buyer was always suuuuuper vocal about finding books w disabled characters, after all, representation just MATTERED SO MUCH to her,
And then being absolutely dumbfounded when we BARELY HAVE ANYTHING outside of characters w ADHD/Autism. MAYBE anxiety. PERHAPS a character has cancer. THE FAINTEST SUGGESTION of a wheelchair in one book. Huntington's? Question mark? In another? Conditions resulting in disfigurement/amputation? The concept could possibly exist in this book, uhh.. maybe...... anything else? Ha! Not on these shelves I fucking guess?!
Like.... we have a ton of books w queer rep! Different body types! Different skin tones! Teach your toddler about social justice! Transgender characters! Nonbinary characters! The alphabet but we're making it gay! At least one book, I think, with asexual characters! But no, we don't have our self-empowerment books anymore or the little guide to sexuality and disability, we have Buddhist monk advice for anxious people, but nooooo we DON'T have that cool book that talked about disability activism anymore, and definitely not in time for July!
I know she and I were at odds before she left, and I know my specifically putting "National month of..." prompts up on my desk calendar after she expressed it was "so difficult to find out what each month is the month of!" probably really irritated her, but I'm like. Appalled that she hadn't been ordering to restock for disability pride month since she always made such a big deal about having books like that in the store.
#venting#work stuff#she quit at the end of june#two of my coworkers and I are sorta filling in for her role while a replacement is searched for and all that#i know she put in a ton of orders before she left so I'm hoping things start to trickle in#i haven't gone thru the order submissions in detail yet to see what we're expecting#but i'll be doing that later this week#as it is today was dealing with a mess of half unpacked shipments#and correcting little mistakes here and there and leaving instructions for coworkers tomorrow#gotta say i was so... disappointed hunting for those books#i looked at the sad selection of nonfiction and self help stuff I'd found and was like. yeah i think I'd be offended#if i saw these titles all grouped together for the pride display. it just felt bad#i made a halfway decent arrangement for the children's section but it took a lot of title research#and even then like half the titles i saw in recommendation lists looked so cool and i would think#surely we should have THIS one bc it looks like the sorta thing Buyer would have ordered and it seems neat as hell!#but. uh. we would have no order history for it.#hhhrrhhrhrhrgh if i see absolutely nothing in the orders we will be expecting#I'm gonna order a bunch of books#and try to plan out the next couple of monthly themes#hmph! even if I'm not the books person I'm still gonna put in SOME effort!!

Boyfriend Village is open for submissions!
What is Boyfriend Village?
Boyfriend Village is, acclaimed literary journal, Black Warrior Review’s online edition, released once and sometimes twice a year.
We just opened submissions for our new issue More Than One Boyfriend!
Our submission call for the issue is as follows:
Black Warrior Review is seeking submissions of all genres for our eighth edition of Boyfriend Village: More Than One Boyfriend.
There’s a misconception about writing being a solitary pursuit. Even as a singular author working with a single piece of paper at a desk with only one chair, you have to ask: who provided the ink? How many people were involved in making the desk and the chair? How much history of production, engineering, mathematics, government, and philosophy is behind this single moment? More Than One Boyfriend seeks to correct this misconception by encapsulating the ways in which writing, like everything else, is a communal pursuit.
This might mean work authored by more than one person, yes, but also any work that is informed by more than one practice, more than one medium, more than one language, more than one voice, and more than one piece of art. It means ekphrastic work, erasure, reiteration, and bilingual writing. It means writing in conversation with and incorporating visual art, music, and interactivity; art that moves more than one of the senses. It means intersectional writing from writers with multifaceted backgrounds, whose work speaks to more than one mode of being. Writing that highlights more than one experience, more than one point of view, more than one voice, more than the one perspective we’re used to hearing the story from. Writing about the collaborative spirit; writing that tells the reader that they are more than just one.
More Than One Boyfriend asks for work that is more than itself.
This year’s issue is helmed by our first collaborative team of Online Editors, Darby Power & Jaric Sarmiento! Find out more about this dream team, and their vision for this year’s Boyfriend Village, on Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and Mastodon.
Submissions are open between April 1st, 2024, and May 1st, 2024. While themed, this is open to interpretation. If you think your boyfriend(s) might belong in our village, don’t hesitate—send them along!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Gilded Dirt, issue iv
After a long subaquatic slumber Gilded Dirt has returned to the surface with the BERMUDA ▲ SADCORE issue ! Drifting ashore this summer !
As though transmitting from within the ‘vile vortex’, the plaintive music of Weyes Blood serves as a warning to treat the open ocean with reverence. Between the reluctant mermaid of Seven Words, the amphibious starlet beckoning her audience underwater in Movies, the waterlogged chorals of In Holy Flux and the whirlpool of classical collisions on Front Row Seat - the real (and make-believe) horrors and wonders of the sea are never far from sight.
Taking cues from the imagined wreckage recovery of 2019’s Titanic Rising, we invite you into the doldrums in search of treasure; glimpses of a phantom vessel, underwater cities in rust, abandoned sea forts, devotional letters cast adrift, living fossils, vampiric squid, titanic fauna and any trace of life after all in the sunken catacombs.
We are looking for submissions of poetry, flash fiction and flash essays on the topic of..
aimless drifting..
"aliens" of The Abyss..
Andromeda + Cetus..
Andromeda (750% Slower)..
billionaire hubris..
bottled messages..
coral skeletons..
deep-sea gigantism..
figureheads + apotropaic magic..
flotsam and jetsam..
Ghost of Maiden’s Peak..
ghost ships..
immortal jellyfish..
Jewels of the Sea (1961)..
Lake Lachrymose and its leeches..
lure of the siren..
Mary Celeste’s mythical mise en scène..
mutiny -and- bounty..
Ocean of Tears..
octopus cities..
Sailers Delight
(sea)bedroom pop..
Sea Punk..
Seven Words speculation..
St. Elmos fire..
The Great Pacific Garbage Patch..
The Jacuzzi of Despair..
The Milky Sea Effect..
whale-fall ecosystems..

Ep. 4 of ShipCestFan's IRL Observations (steps - b/s; f/d) (submission)
Hey, Shipcestuous. ShipCestFan back with another episode of “ShipCestFan’s IRL Observations”. LOL
So far, we’ve covered my ex-gf and her family in college, along with my college roommate and his sister. Now, we fast-forward two decades. In that time, I married and had a family. But by 2006, I was divorced. I had joint 50% custody of my kids so I had time to date. And when you wear shipper-goggles, many things are revealed on dates. LOL
About a year after I divorced, my daughter’s kindergarten teacher asked me out. (My daughter had moved into first grade.) Let’s call her Mary (none of the names I use are ever real). When she asked me out, I was intrigued but perplexed as I knew her to be married.
As we got to know each other outside of the school, Mary informed me that the reason she had separated was because her 18 year old, biological daughter had accused her stepfather (Mary’s 2nd husband) of inappropriate behavior. Upon hearing this, I was upset for my new girlfriend and her daughter. But then I met the daughter. Let’s call her…Tiffany. What I began to suspect was that Tiffany was a devious (perhaps mentally unstable) young woman who played men to get what she wanted or maybe just for the thrill of it. And her mom, my girlfriend, believed her otherwise innocent, doe-eyed behavior.
Mary and I dated for about a year. During that time, there was a very nasty criminal court case between her soon-to-be-ex-husband and DHS which had intervened since Tiffany (who was now 18yo) was 17 at the time she reported her stepfather’s actions. Mary kept me updated on all the proceedings.
And what slowly emerged confirmed my suspicions above of a manipulative young woman. Tiffany had kept a diary which found its way into the criminal court case as evidence. In the diary, Tiffany admitted to a secret plan to seduce her stepfather so that she’d have access to his family money. Stepdad fell for her her game and the two apparently had a consensual, sexual cestship for some time. This all came to me from my gf Mary – Tiffany’s mother telling me about the court proceedings.
And in yet another revelation, Tiffany revealed in the diary that she was carrying on a consensual sexual cestship with her stepbrother (stepdad’s son from first marriage) and with her biological brother, too! Apparently all three HS teenagers lived at home and always hung out in the finished basement. And apparently, while the parents were upstairs, the 3 teenagers indulged in lots of ecstasy, alcohol and sexual exploration with each other, all spurred on by Tiffany. Apparently, after Tiffany began sleeping with her stepbrother, he convinced her to sleep with her brother, too. When I came into the picture, the stepbrother had moved out with dad; the bio brother was still a recluse in the basement and Tiffany lived in her bedroom on the top floor of the house. I rarely saw any of the kids when I was visiting Mary even though Tiffany and her brother were in the house still.
By the time my relationship with Mary neared its end, Tiffany’s accusations had unraveled in court in a web of lies, deceit and evidence of a sexually promiscuous and devious young woman with little morals and no boundaries for sexual taboos. At one point, she had been sleeping with her stepfather, stepbrother and brother concurrently! Her mistake was getting pissed at her stepfather when he informed her that his biological son would inherit the family fortune and thinking she could ruin them.
I’m still friends with Mary and I recently bumped into her. She said that Tiffany moved to Europe and teaches… “gratitude” as a “Life Coach”. Mary has a relationship with Tiffany but no relationship with anyone else, including her biological son. I found that disappointing but perhaps, there’s more to the story than I know.
But once again, I had evidence, through my observation, of a cestship among step daughter/sister, stepbrother, brother and step dad. And even though the welfare department had initially deemed it child abuse since she was 17, the legal proceedings proved that Tiffany had initiated the sexual cestship and admitted that it was consensual when she realized she was caught lying. I don’t know if stepdad was ever found guilty due to the revelations. It was all…very interesting.
For me, this was further proof that cestships happen much more frequently than we want to believe in our society. Sometimes it’s driven by romance; sometimes by love, and other times by a need, be it sexual, emotional or… greed.
Until the next episode…

Calling all Queer writers and artists!
I am in the process of developing a web-based literary magazine exclusively publishing Queer (LGBTQ+) creators. This magazine is themed around the juxtaposition of Queerness and Cannibalism; for more information / if you or someone you know are interested, please continue reading! :)
HOME | From Heart To Stomac (al332219.wixsite.com)
About From Heart to Stomach:
From Heart to Stomach is an online literary journal that aims to contradict social and cultural taboo perceptions of the Queer community through a juxtaposition of Queerness and cannibalism. To do this, we publish work that expresses topics like Queer craving, consuming love, bodily worship, wholesome home-cooked meals, and desires. From Heart to Stomach publishes work exclusively done by Queer persons; we accept poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and (scans/images of) artwork. We love discovering new writers and artists, and aim to accept unpublished pieces first and foremost.
Historically and contemporarily, Queer love and identity are often seen as a taboo that is ‘grotesque’, ‘vulgar’, ‘unnatural’, and ‘predatory’. This language is additionally associated with another taboo: cannibalism. From Heart to Stomach uses this language and these taboo perceptions against themselves, by merging and blurring the lines between Queerness and cannibalism; both emphasizing and challenging their connotations.
From Heart to Stomach wishes to welcome readers into the intimate realities of Queer love by platforming Queer work that reframes language and perception, and ultimately reclaims Queer connotations of love and desire.
From Heart to Stomach is open for submissions!
The deadline for submissions to be featured in our first issue is:
April 10th 2023 by 11:59 PM
From Heart to Stomach publishes work exclusively done by Queer persons; we accept poetry, fiction, nonfiction, photography, and other artwork. To be accepted, submissions must align with our theme of juxtaposing Queerness and cannibalism; pieces should include language and/or imagery representative of such. This work can express topics like Queer craving, consuming love, bodily worship, wholesome home-cooked meals, and desires. We accept work by established and emerging writers from all over the world. We love discovering new writers and artists, and aim to accept unpublished pieces first and foremost.
If you have questions and/or wish to submit your work, contact Editor Austin Lawrence through our ‘Submissions’ page on our website. Please include a brief bio with your submissions, and please only submit up to 3 pieces for each genre of writing and 5 pieces for any artwork. There are no fees for submissions.
