None of that mattered to you anyway, your dreams of Mark that clouded your head all night giving you the push you needed to throw caution to the wind. Would it be the worst thing in the world to risk it all with him? One kiss, chaste and sweet, was enough to shut him up for just a moment. “So if I said we should try exploring further, maybe go on a date or something, you’d say yes?”

His eyebrows shot up to his hairline, mouth falling agape as he searched your face for any signs that you were being facetious. “Y-yeah, yes. If that’s what you want.” He was so bad with his feelings, sometimes— but you were more than willing to be patient.

This is a great question! Honestly, I've been wanting to make a environmental piece with whimsy, food, and fashion, for like.. 2 years? when thats done it will probably be my favorite piece LMAO but for the time being? let me go through my venture maidens folder

This applies to most aspects of my life, but I don't really have a top "favorite" thing in most areas! I mean, Madoka Magica Rebellion is my favorite movie (very closely rivaled by Coraline), but that's an outlier. In every other case, I have a collection of my favorites with one coming out on top depending on how I'm feeling that day.

It's also influenced by eras, I think. I don't want to compare my most recent art to my venture maiden 2020 art, because I've improved and will prefer my newer style. However, there's still a sense of nostalgia and homeliness to some of my old art that can bring it above the rest, you know?

Going through my venture maiden campaign 1 folder, here's probably my favorites:

These two are from 9/3/20 ("sawYEAH.png") and 11/23/22 ("arent you tired of being nice.png"). I think Sawyeh's relatively simple design has always lend itself well to gesture drawing, especially with the relatively simple silhouette shape. Theyre just fun :) I like them a lot.

I don't know if I'd rank a lot of my campaign 1 art among my favorites, not because I think less of the campaign but because a lot of that time period was me feeling my way into an art style. I see it as the time period after I started feeling confident in my art, but before I kind of became the "unique facial features and color jitter" artist.

For fun (and food), here's some of my unposted campaign 1 stuff.

From 10/21/20, technically in 2020 but close to 2021. I think it's unique because it starts to show a shift to more.. unique concepts, I guess? It was of a water elemental who uses an ice mask to mimic having a face. It's cool, I should revisit it.

Hi there, anon! Thank you so much for reading my stuff. I hope I post soon too LMAO, life can be busy sometimes but hopefully I'll be able to find time to write more in the upcoming weeks. I'm glad you're enjoying my fics so far :)

Man, your question is really hard to answer, though - asking a writer to pick their favorite pieces is like asking a parent to choose a favorite child. That said, I never claimed to be a good fic-parent, so ofc I have my faves. If someone, for whatever reason, could only read five of my fics, the ones I would recommend are:

1. Metro Lines and Their Prismatic Tears - 10,000 words, Rated T, minor background ships, Peyz-centric

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I think Metro Lines is my best-written fic so far. I also think it's unique in that none of my other fics really capture what it does - like if I wanted to include a GuKe fic on my list I would have a handful to choose from, but this fic is truly one-of-a-kind. I like the AU, I like the characterizations, and overall I'm really proud of my work on this fic.

2. Mad Scientist Incorrigible - 30,000 words, Rated E for lots of sex, multi-ship (Lehends x Everyone) but RuLehends-focused, Lehends-centric

Even though I think Metro Lines is better-written, I still see M.S.I. as my magnum opus and likely the coolest fic I'll ever write. Writing this fic as the tournament was going on was such a fun experience and I'm still shocked that it all came together so well narratively. I really enjoy all the drama of the piece and I think no list of ArchiveofOurOner fics would be complete without it.

I think those two very cleanly take the top spots on my list. From here on out, things get a little more debatable, but for number 3, I'll add the one other fic that I've referred to as "my favorite one" before:

3. The Man Who Talked Shit About Choi Wooje - 4,000 words, Rated T/M for violence, One2eus, shifting POV

I love this fic because it defines "crack treated seriously". Every part of it is just so ridiculous and it was super fun to write. I think part of why I consider it one of my favorites is because I had such a blast writing it, but it also shows a different tone of fic than the other two, so I think it's a good inclusion. I also sorely need to include more of my T1 boys on this list, which brings me to my next entry:

4. Facecheck - 14,000 words, Rated E for some smut, One2eus with background GuKe, Zeus-centric

As my first and most popular fic, I feel like Facecheck is another requirement for the AO3 Oner list. That's not to suggest that I don't love it - I do, but I definitely think that I've grown in my writing since then. It would still be a good include to show that growth, plus it's a fun read even if I personally consider it to be more middle-of-the-pack in terms of my work quality.

For the final slot... damn, okay, this is actually really hard. See, if the question was simply which other of my fics do I like the most, then I'd probably go with 04.11.2023, but that feels way too similar to Mad Scientist Incorrigible (since it's literally just an extension of that fic). I would also consider including my Spider-Oner AU, Strand By Silken Strand, which I'm quite proud/fond of, but let's be real - I haven't included any CanMaker on the list yet and that's a complete sin. So, with that in mind:

5. Flash-Ult - 2,000 words, Rated T, CanMaker, Canyon-centric

It was a really close call between this and Heartbreaker, but I think Flash-Ult won out for me primarily because it's much sweeter and a good deal less angsty (though there is still a bit of angst at the end). All in all, Flash-Ult is a classic, feel-good hurt/comfort fic that I think suits my dynamic of CanMaker very well and is therefore a good representation of how I write the ship. I think between M.S.I. and Facecheck, there's already enough smut on the list, but if I were to include a CanMaker smut fic instead... maybe Unleashed Power, tbh? Ig that would also allow for a taste of my Omegaverse AU...

But yeah, that's my list of 5, plus a few bonus ones tossed around in between. They aren't my best fics, they certainly aren't my most popular fics, but I think they make up the best representation of my total LoL RPF corpus so far. If someone could only read a small portion of my writing, then I think this selection would give them a pretty good taste of what my fics are like. Hopefully, they'd enjoy them as much as you have, anon!

15. What are your drawing strengths? i would say adding details and tying the story i'm trying to convey together. and i like to think that i'm ok at giving them that tender and in love feel no matter the situation.

What are your drawing weaknesses? all of it? haha proportions and certain angles are really hard for me. hands and noses yikes! i am also terrible at drawing from memory. i usually draw with about 20 references pulled up on my laptop. like, i am the bozo googling "table". 17. What is one thing you’d like to tell people about your art that they might not know? i love adding/repeating little details that no one would really notice unless you're zooming all the way in or seeing a few pieces as a set. i built a color palette very early on that has stayed consistent throughout. i play a lot with blues and greens as a motif. and uh i'm still learning! everyday! with every single one!

19. What inspires or motivates you to create for fandom? i genuinely love doing it! i also love a prompt, that's why i started all of this with gallacrafts. and i just really love putting them in situations i want to see them in and drawing them stupidly in love!

but, i also hoard unhinged tags in my cheeks like a chipmunk lmao every series i've done was born from people screaming a version of "YOU'RE INSANE" at me 😂

20. And finally, can you describe your process a little? Do you have a favourite place to draw? Do you play something in the background? Do you do research or just go for it? Give us a little insight. i usually draw on the couch, hunched over like a shrimp. i’m normally up really late (i see 3am too often) and that’s when i get most of my work done. i typically watch something i've seen before so that i don't have to fully pay attention or i'll listen to music. i sketch a rough draft of what i want the final piece to end up looking like, then i do a shit ton of research and pull up a stupid amount of references. i have a really creepy pinterest board full of body parts lol! then i fight for my life and rage until the line work is fully done. after that, it’s smooth sailing with coloring and shading 😌

Lizzie, Pix, and fWhip are all like parents to Hermes (that kid has literally five parental units what)

Speaking of Hermes!! The rest of them know of and are perfectly fine with Sausage, and he and Joel adopt Hermes one day because they find him on the streets and they couldn’t just leave him there, so. ✨child✨

MAKING FUN OF JIMMY TOGETHER

If they’re out and someone asks Lizzie if she’s there with anyone, because the four of them are hanging out together, they’ll all just laugh until the guy gets freaked out and leaves

They all get their hair dyed at least a little bit- Lizzie (obviously) goes all pink, Joel has his green stripe, and then Pix gets a navy blue one and fWhip does full teal and green until the roots grow back in orange. The idea was started because Lizzie was getting hers redone and asked if they wanted to participate (her kitten eyes were like a fucking off switch on their strength of will)

Everyone thinks Pix is the responsible one. He’s not. He’s just as crazy as the other three

Lizzie has dubbed herself mayor of all the pets in their dorm building, Joel drinks sketchy protein shakes with all normal ingredients other than a splash of water from the fountain outside the Historical Mythology building, fWhip reads hanging off the couch upside down like a fucking bat. Pix seems normal enough on the surface, but my man single-handedly discovered a new species of fruit trees in 3 variants, a thought to be extinct species, and a machine that’s been around since the beginning of time, and he considers emerald ore to be worth more than his life. He’s pretty far from ‘normal’

Pix runs the campus news channel, and his partners find it adorable and also kind of worrying when they walk into the living room at two in the morning for water to see Pix sitting on the floor, surrounded by stacks of paper and two laptops, three cups of coffee and one of tea, and him in the middle wearing sweats and one of Joel’s shirts/ no top if he couldn’t find any, scrambling to get the next weekly episode out. 18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? In theory I enjoy it. It's almost always a sweet touch imo, but that said, it does break immersion if I need to go hunting for a translation. It's worth it usually? But case by case.

19) First fandom you wrote for? I think I've given a different answer to this question every time it's been presented. Honestly, I don't remember. The first time I posted was a flurry of Dragon Age Origins, Snow White & the Huntsman (ahaha), and Knights of the Old Republic though, prompted by the fact that my laptop was dying and I didn't know google drive existed yet. Pure panic posting. Do not recommend.

20) Favorite fic you’ve written? I'm the sort that never wants to see it again once it's published. I'll always love the version in my head better - what makes it to a page is mostly for love of fandom. Of all the fics living in my head though, it's probably the Kassidas one. It's what brought me to tumblr and returned a whole part of my mind to me that had been missing for a decade. Nothing beats that <3

I always try my best to reply as soon as possible wether its an ask, reblog or comment. (Excluding wattpad, as i see that more like people annotating their reading and generally don't want to bother them. But i do always read them and appreciate them, and if something stands out or if someone comments a lot i will respond)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ooh i once killed reader off dramatically lol ("Car Crash" blurb) but I think the general reader's concensus would be Caught Me Slippin' , which I didn't even intend to make that angsty, but people cried (allegedly). And honestly, while i apologise for the emotional damage, i do take it as the highest compliment to be able to evoke such feelings.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my stories are quite happy and i'm not sure how to rate "happiness".

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I am actually surprised how scarce the hate is, and usually in the form of anons, because I always expect people to hate me. But thats on insecurities. Honestly, writing on here has always been amazing.

9. Do you write smut?

Yes. I hate it tho 😫 like, love smut in theory and concept but it's a bitch to write.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I love a lengthy and extended au, often inspired by other works (Not Wholly Evil is basically Stranger Things x Pirates of the Caribbean) but i think the only clear "crossover" i (remember to) have written would be Murder on the Dancefloor ??? which would be a tom holland x Strictly Come Dancing crossover lmao. I do often think about tv show crossovers in concept tho, but doubt i'll write any.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yup. Shit sucks.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, but it was done without my permission and uncredited (which is still stealing!!) so that sucks.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I've dabbled in co-writing, haha, several times avtually, but for one reason or another, none of the projects were ever published. Would love to one day actually fully co-write something with someone on here.

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

Ngl, i'm not sure I have one. Probably why all of my stories are 'x reader'.

15. What's a WIP that you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

At this point I think this about every single one of my WIPs and that's writer's block for ya.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Hmm...i'd like to think the expression of emotion, showing how characters feel. And maybe world building- or thats at least my favorite thing in AUs. Maybe also details (either motives, references or foreshadowing)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm horrible at pacing. Always feel like i go too slow with the plot and then suddenly too fast and its all a mess, especially when it comes to series. Also just general knowledge on things; i feel like i don't know enough things to write about when it comez to daily and regular life, or even how to normally interact with people so that makes things hard when trying to be realistic. I also feel like i don't know enough words??? So things get really repetitive.

Oh, and this is also an aspect of writing- i'm horrible at getting feedback in the form of proofreading. It makes me physically sick having someone go through my work like that, and I barely do it myself. Which may result in some horrible typos/mistakes. And i do apologise profusely for that. Believe me, if you caught a mistake in my fic, i still think about it to this day.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in different languages?

Its always better if the writer is familiar with the language. Things you're comfortable with writing translate over better to the reader. It's like in movies/tv, its always better when you have an actor speaking a language they actually know. And if you don't know it, 1) ask yourself why are you writing it then and then 2) better research the hell out of it.

My first fic, that has since been deleted for a long time, was on wattpad and it was for a youtuber lmao. (peak 2013/15 era, thats all i'm gonna say)

Fic writing meme 2022

Since this got pretty long, I’ll put everything behind a “read more”:

Word count for the year: For fics I’ve posted to AO3, 15218 words. However, I also finished a fic for the Home & Exile zine (2022 words — nice coincidence, now that I look at it lol) and I have plenty of WIPs that probably account for way more than what I posted, but unfortunately, I’m a bit chaotic in that sense so I don’t know the exact numbers.

Number of stories posted to AO3: 3

Pairings written for: For stories I’ve posted, Nao/Reko and Keiji/Kai (both from Your Turn To Die). Including WIPs, I’ve also written a bit of Layton/Claire (Professor Layton).

Fandoms I wrote for: I’ve only posted for Your Turn To Die this year, but there’s been a bit of working in Professor Layton fics in the past few weeks too. 

Most popular story: The Sara File. It recently became my first story to reach 500 hits, which is pretty nice!

Story I’m most proud of: Flavors, the fic I wrote for the Home & Exile zine (I unfortunately cannot link it because the zine hasn’t been released yet, but hopefully I’ll be able to post it to AO3 this spring/summer!). Maybe it’s because the piece was pretty experimental to begin with, or maybe I just had more time to improve the fic before submitting it — I usually post as soon as it’s done, but since I finished the fic before the deadline, I had plenty of time to ask for suggestions to the other writers and to rewrite stuff — but I felt really proud of myself after finishing it. :)

Funniest: Either chapter 3 of The Sara File, or Apartment 508.

Saddest: Flavors. Then again, none of the other stories I finished this year are really angsty, since all of them were fluff/humor.

Least Popular: Surprisingly, Dancing under the streetlights. When I posted it, I thought it would become my most popular YTTD story since Naoreko is a relatively popular pairing, but somehow, it’s my least popular story for the fandom.

Most Cringe-Worthy: I’m not sure... Maybe Apartment 508? The premise was a bit ridiculous to begin with ("Okay, what if Keiji and Kai were both like those nosy grandmas who know all the juicy drama going on in the neighborhood?”), so I’ll say that one.

Favorite Opening Line(s): From chapter 3 of The Sara File:

Sometimes your day goes so horribly wrong that you wonder why you even got out of bed in the first place. Today was one of those days for Kai.

Favorite Closing Line(s): I’d quote the last lines of Flavors, but since it’s still unreleased and I'm not sure if I’m allowed to post excerpts of it yet, I’ll pick the ending of chapter 2 of The Sara File, simply because I think it’s funny out of context lol:

Maybe buying thirteen different types of jam hadn’t been such a bad idea in the end.

Or perhaps the ending of Apartment 508:

The light switch was turned on and Kai had to squint his eyes to avoid being blinded by the sudden light. Keiji was looming over him, notepad and pen in hand, with a serious look on his face.

“You can’t just get me invested into more neighborhood drama and then expect me to sleep.” There was a spark of fiery determination in his eyes. “Your friendly detective is gonna need more info on that affair, Kai.”

Kai slammed his head back onto the mattress and closed his eyes with a sigh. “What have I started…”

Top Scenes you would choose to have illustrated: Kai teaching Joe and Sara how to make crêpes in chapter 3 of The Sara File (well, mostly Sara, since Joe failed spectacularly at it lmao).

Story I haven’t yet written, but intend to: Considering I’ve talked about YTTD fics for almost the entirety of the post, I’ll talk about other fandoms now XD. For fics with relatively “basic” premises, I want to write some college Layclaire! Maybe writing about them studying together at night during finals season, or cheering each other when they have to write a dissertation. I’m not sure yet what I want to write exactly, but I have barely written any Layclaire, and I think I need to change that (especially if we take into account the upcoming Layclaire week...)

For more experimental ones, I want to write a fic about Jean Greyerl’s story from PLvsPW:AA using references to the Fibonacci sequence (the sequence that is closely related to the golden ratio), since I think it would be fitting for the “golden” witch, who also happens to be an erudite with plenty of science (and probably mathematics) knowledge.

Fic-writing goals for 2022: I wanted to experiment a bit, and I feel like I did a good job at it! I tried 2nd person POV, I started adding HTML formatting into some of my stories, and I have a short fic in progress that is mostly written in future tense. I wish I was a bit more consistent about finishing works and tracking how much I actually write, but I’ll leave that for the 2023 resolution list lol.

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)

This one’s hard. There are things I don’t want more than things I want extra, if that makes sense? But I guess I want… more people to ship things that I like. If more people were into Kiryu/Akiyama I would be incredibly happy. When I posted my fic for them, it was the 8th work on AO3 and now they have 37! So that’s nice.

Overall I want more kink content in every fandom I’m in, and… well. I wish people would be more vocal about liking things in general.

For example: I’ve been told multiple times that people have really liked some things I thought had flopped (lesbian ZS, all that glisters) and it’s kind of depressing. I was shown some screenshots from a server and I was like “...okay” because none of that enjoyment or excitement actually got back to me. If the people who like it never tell me how am I meant to know? I just view the initial kudos and the comments, and when there’s not many of them it tells me that no one wants more of that.

Please, for the love of everything that is holy, tell creators directly when you like their works!!

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything)

Yes. I’m very much a “no reverse” kind of person when it comes to pairings. Feelings can go whichever way you want but when it comes to the nitty-gritty of sexy time I have a set way I like things to go. This is why I don’t really write opposite things. When it comes to who’s initiating or Dom/sub dynamics I’m way more flexible though.

Because I’ve been in fandom for a veeeeryyyyy long time I have had so many headcanons over the years that have been disproven or things have changed to make them less fun so I dunno on that one. The longer you look at things the more open your mind becomes to other possibilities too, so some stuff I was hard-and-fast about (ZS being virgins) has definitely evolved. Sometimes all you need is a good trustworthy friend with an intriguing argument haha.

W - 5 favorite ships and 5 kinks you like best for said ships

I tend to gravitate towards characters with similar traits so it’s kinda hard to separate kinks and ships from one another like this. Mainly though, if you look, most of my ships have one (or two) smokers in them, often a big burly guy and a slimmer guy and the slimmer one usually fights with their legs, so… hahaha. One day I should make a venn diagram and then you’ll see what I mean.

There’s also a difference between kinks too, because…well. I tend to view “kinks” as BDSM things whereas people will call pretty much anything a kink these days. So there’s like BDSM kink, physical trait kinks and then the sort-of fantasy ones (transformation, vore, etc)? I’m not big on the fantasy kind. I like stuff that is possible in reality the most.

The other thing about this is: some ships are not made for kink content. I know this may have people side-eyeing me given my history but I do actually take into consideration the characters, their dynamics etc before I try to throw kinky stuff on them. Would they be into it? Is there a way I can validate this kink on this character? There’s kinks I really like that simply don’t fit with the pairings I have, so I don’t write them. Perhaps one day I will be able to write those kinks, but not right now.

This was a lot of paragraphs not to actually answer the question but hopefully you have an idea.

In an effort to make myself a more consistent artist, i did 9 million sketches of Grimmjow on what I’m now calling the “Grimmjow Challenge Board” which is just a regular bunch of sketches but i wasn’t allowed to use the eraser

In hindsight, that maybe wasn’t the best idea if i was going for consistency, but it was fun as fuck so i have no regrets

Tumblr’s image compression really isn’t kind to my art so some of the details have been lost but they all look like Grimmjow so I’m calling it a success

as you were admiring it you can hear sunoo snapping a picture from behind you

just as long as you guys get to go on a roller coaster three more times as well

although he’s not one to match with his s/o, he lets you get matching headbands to wear around the park 🥺

after the day winds down he takes you on a ferris wheel and you guys kiss at the top 🙈

Formaggio and Fashion!

(3 posts this week, who even am i 😭) this post is the same as the prosciutto post (here’s the link to that one in case anyone wants to see it!). minus the collections the clothes are from because that was time consuming and frustrating ✨ also maybe not as many images as last time because finding 9 outfits wasn’t always easy. i know some of these choices may be questionable but bear with me lmao. i am simply just a gal who likes looking at fashion but has no idea what she’s talking about and can’t even dress herself/hj. also my posts have been flopping recently so any likes and reblogs are extra appreciated this time round <3

okay actually i think some of these outfits are not that nice lmao BUT i think formaggio could pull them off. i don’t think the one with the orange top and dungarees is nice at all but i saw it and i immediately thought of formaggio for some reason. when i saw some of these i actually thought of risotto at first (and for one of them abbacchio came to mind but this isn’t about him right now lmao) but the more i looked at them the more i thought they maybe fitted formaggio better? i was a little worried at first because i was like none of these look like what he actually wears but then i remembered i’m not trying to find exact recreations of what he wears and it’s just things that i see that remind me of him lmao. some of these were just for individual pieces (actually i think just that camo shirt) and i actually seen a lot of individual pieces that would work well for him but i didn’t include them, mainly because of the quality of the photos. here’s the moodboard!:

i think this is probably my least accurate board out of this whole post but i also think he’d look cute in that orange outfit and that one outfit with the black cropped jacket. also the like plaid or whatever it is outfit? he would rock that for sure! i feel like he could probably rock a variety of stuff which made this post a little more difficult than my prosciutto one ahhhh. anyway moodboard time!:

honestly i couldn’t not include vivienne westwood in this post. i don’t know how to explain it but gosh i think all of these would suit formaggio so much. the minute i decided to make more of these posts i just knew i had to use vivienne westwood stuff lmaooo. anyway, again i don’t have much to say so on with the moodboard:

okay i actually love this one a lot. even though these don’t look like what we see him wear i can totally see him in a lot of these outfits. this is definitely one of my favorites for this post for sure. i don’t have too much to say but i just think like things with mesh or like netted clothes look like they would suit him bc of what he does actually wear so i think that’s why i like some of these so much. 2 of these that i included are only for the one item and not the whole outfit (the two sweaters) but i couldn’t not include them bc i really think they would suit him. here’s the moodboard!:

so again i think a lot of these reminded me of formaggio bc they were either kind of mesh or sheer but i like these ones a lot too. it’s so hard to explain but i have a particular style in my head for formaggio (and all the other guys actually) that i cannot explain for the life of me but i have it in my mind when i go and pick these posts lmao anyway to me these feel right and they definitely remind me of him and he would look great in these! i think risotto would suit a few of these too to be honest so maybe there will be some overlaps in their posts lmao anyway moodboard time!:

honestly i was starting to lose it a little bit when i was making this post and then i remembered heaven by marc jacobs exists and immediately it felt kind of appropriate to include? maybe i’m only saying that because i started to struggle with the post lmao. i have to admit that a lot of the time when i’m making these posts and i see some of the clothing and even some of the stuff i put in the posts, i’m not actually a fan of it. but i was a big fan of a lot of these outfits i saw and honestly i haven’t even included a bunch of the pictures i saved for this section because there was a lot lmao. honestly i might even use a few of these outfits when i get around to make my post for illuso bc i think a few of them would suit him also. anyway, here is the moodboard!:
